Before I address the latest from Sy Hersh, I have posted the three videos discussed by Ted Postol. They are now up courtesy of Bitchute.
We have a new version of Israel’s attack last Thursday on Iran courtesy of Sy Hersh. I put this in the same category as Pepe’s report — i.e., Sy is reporting accurately what his source or sources are telling him. That does not mean the information reported is correct. According to Sy:
The tit-for-tat attacks between Israel and Iran that consumed much of the world’s attention over the past two weeks reached a crescendo on April 13, when an Iranian drone and missile assault on Israel failed after an armada of allied fighter planes—secretly organized by the Pentagon, with the support of Russia—shot down more than three hundred armed Iranian drones and missiles headed for targets in Israel.
The Middle East and the Western world anxiously waited for the Israeli response. It came a few days later when two Israeli fighter planes, operating outside Iran’s border, fired supersonic missiles at a high-tech Iranian defensive missile site that was protecting Iran’s most important nuclear enrichment site, near Natanz, eighty miles north of Isfahan.
Looks like Sy and Pepe agree on one point — there was at least one Israeli jet that flew through Jordanian airspace and then something happened once the plane (or planes) crossed into Iraq or Syria. Here the accounts diverge. Pepe’s sources claim one Israeli jet, an F-35 was shot down. Sy’s source insists that Israel used two jets that launched an unidentified “supersonic” missile at a site near Natanz.
Let me give you a couple of more data points. Here is a video from Kanal 13, a TV station in Azerbaijan. Kanal 13 offers a report similar to Sy’s:
Let me reiterate that there is some bullshit afoot because the report does not make sense. If Israel used a Rampage missile then the only way Israel could strike a target inside Iran would require that the Israeli plane penetrated deep into Iranian airspace. Why? Because the Rampage only has an operational range of 150 to 250 km. The distance from Isfahan, Iran to Baghdad, Iraq is almost 1000 kilometers. Do the math.
Next question. Where is the wreckage of the missile? It does not disintegrate. The only other air to ground missile in Israel’s arsenal is the Sky Spear. It was unveiled at the 2023 Paris air show, but there are no details about its operational distance. We have ZERO evidence that Israeli aircraft penetrated Iranian airspace, which means that Israel is now fielding an air to ground missile that has more than a 1000 km range. Not likely.
Now, let us shift to Ukraine. Marat Khairullin published an update on the fighting in Donetsk. Does not look good for Ukraine.
What good days have come after all. Ocheretino is ours! The right flank of the Ukrop front near Avdeevka has been breached. And it’s so crazy. Low bow and respect to our soldiers and commanders!
Ocheretino is not just a serious bid for a deep raid in the rear of the main defensive positions of Ukrop on the Karlovskoye Reservoir. This is at the same time another problem point for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is greatly straining their entire front from Chasy Yar to Ugledar.
And, on top of everything else, an important indicator of the decline of the Ukrop army: an entire brigade simply ran away from the most important position – this means that in those directions where the Ukrainians are not expecting a strike, they have troops that are frankly unfit for combat. And considering how many combat-ready reserves we have at the front, this is a serious problem for the Nazis.
At the same time, the offensive in Krasnogorovka, currently the key direction near Donetsk, is rapidly developing. This is the most fortified conventional fort in the central part of the Donetsk Front. The breakthrough in Ocheretino fits very well into the overall scheme of the operation.
At the same time, ours are developing success on the southern flank. After the capture of Novomikhailovka, our troops south and north of the village through the fields are rushing to the main line of dill here – the Ugledar-Konstantinovka-Pobeda road.
In general, if we take the events of the last three days on the Donetsk front, then we need to emphasize the competent actions of our commanders. The Ukrainians are building their defenses in such a way that they are ready to meet our attacks head-on. And we regularly surround them, attacking on the flanks, and constantly create a threat to the boilers. At every opportunity, striking in new directions.
No amount of wonder weapons supplied by the U.S. or NATO can solve Ukraine’s shortage of trained troops, who are dying in increasing numbers under Russia’s relentless bombardment.
It was interesting, to say the least, to watch the video with you, Ania, and Pepe, as you were all so intent on trying to get at the truth and get it right.
In contrast, because YoTube recommends, I keep seeing videos pop up from the “Times Radio” YT channel. I have tried to not waste too much time there, but skim some here and there, and it’s appalling. Everything there appears to be assorted ridiculous characters making endless bullshit come out of their face, regarding the Ukraine situation. Either dark comedy or just disgusting, depending on how you look at it.
No surprise; since the passage of the Warmongers Act in Congress a couple days ago, the blockheads on “Times Radio” have plenty to say, apparently, none of it connected to reality.
Truth is so shy! She refuses to show her blushing face to her admirers!
Sy Hersh has become a flake.
I fear that Sy has suffered a medical incident and someone is ghost writing. This change it does not resemble his former reporting.
In the case of the ‘well matured’ I assume, as a starting premise, that it is more likely a case of “I’m out, … and so just one last throw of the dice for the retirement $fund” theory.
In the case of Pepe E., I suspect the reasons were likely codified within his “Asian network trust” comment. It works both ways. Guanxi is a term used in Chinese culture to describe an individual’s social network of mutually beneficial personal and business relationships (Wikipedia). Likely PE’s future ‘insider’ news business model was at stake if the requested favor was not honored.
Still begs the question as to why all this noise over a ‘nothing happened’ event — welcome to shame-honor complex cultures.
Everyone knows Sy is a mouthpiece for the Clinton’s and she’s starting to surface again.
Could Sy Hersh’s source been inspired to come forward because Pepe was too close to the truth? The timing is suspicious as is the level of accompanying bullshit – despite having plenty of time to create a decent story.
Evidence for idiocracy.
The level of propaganda and disinformation flying around at the moment makes it clear that western ‘authorities’ – Security agencies, EU leadership, NATO, mainstream media et al are in a state of panic. I cannot remember a time in my lifetime (I’m 67) when it has been so clear that western leadership is under siege. They simply have no credibility left and they know it. The contrast between the ‘official narrative’ and what everyone I meet wherever I go actually believes on Ukraine/Russia/China, COVID, vaccines, free speech (in Australia right now especially), climate change and Israel/Gaza is quite extraordinary. I find that everyone I meet is on the same page for the most part, and the writing on that page is a complete rejection of the propaganda we are getting from our media.
The one exception is with Israel/Gaza. There is the Murdoch press on one hand which pushes the Zionist line (as does the Australian government, reluctantly I think), but much of the broadcast media, including ABC (Australian ABC), SBS and others are clearly rejecting the Zionist narrative. The anti Israeli/ pro Palestinian student demonstrations in the USA look to be developing into something akin to the anti- Vietnam demonstrations of the ’60s.
Could it be that at long last anti-war sentiment amongst the young generally could reappear?
The travesty in Gaza may be the final straw, but our problem seems to be that almost all politicians (not George Galloway for one) in the western world are bought and paid for one way or another by globalists and live in echo chambers in their Capitols that have been built over many decades. The level of power and control over politicians by the moneyed classes (Black Rock, Vanguard etc. etc.) has never before been as great as it is today. Everything is now subordinated to the whims of the Larry Finks, AIPAC and George Soros types in the world, which is a truly frightening reality.
Today is ANZAC Day in Australia. My ANZAC grandfather would be wondering what the hell he and his mates were fighting for.
The young kids protesting Israel are mostly all college indoctrinated woke social justice activists, to whom Palestinians have now risen to the top of the Victim Olympics, so we now have the weird clown circus of feminists, LGHDTV cultists and liberal Jews protesting for Hamas. Now I find that highly amusing and at least its good that AIPAC FINALLY gets some pushback in the US. But lets not kid ourselves, these kids are also the very useful idiot footsoldiers of Larry Fink and George Soros. They’re also the same kids who are fully in favor of sending money and arms to the Ukraine.
The enemy of my enemy is not my friend, just my enemy’s enemy, nothing more, nothing less.
You might to be too uninformed to even know how wrong you are about the college protesters. The issue of Palestine and the Israeli occupation isn’t new. It’s been around for decades, and it has nothing to do with the “woke” phenomenon. There are cases where adherents of the two groups overlap, but as someone who has participated in pro-Palestinian actions for decades, and who is definitely not “woke,” I can assure you that the people concerned about genocide and war crimes in Gaza see that issue outside the confines of the “woke” box. In fact, one only has to be opposed to starving innocent human beings, imprisoning children to be used later as hostages, torture, and mass bombing of civilians, to be on the same page as the pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
Great points, Janet. It is the ‘right’ that is trying to push the wokeness angle on these protesters. I retired early because of the woke infiltration of corporate America, especially tech. I can guarantee you that the majority of the woke (DEI, title IX and Affirmative Actions zealots) are supporting ISR even though they don’t know why. Sure, I can bet a large chunk of my nest egg that much of the college protests are organized by ISR, or those affiliated with their Zionist intentions. I see know reason why ISR would not do this.
i concur. I too was involved in the Palestine cause back in the 70s and 80s. And one thing i did not see was wokism
and where do you get that information, from the western US media?
They were fighting for this guy’s family. Cannot spell UKraine without UK, and King Charles III is the Israel Zionist-in-Chief , here coronated with Jordan River waters.
American pro-Palestinian leaderless maidan movements seem to be in the process of being twisted into the Mostly Peaceful Riots direction by groups with interest. Reminds of Mrs. Mao and the woke Red Guard revolution. Perhaps controlled opposition? If pro-Pali riots turn violent, then they who control lawmakers can pass laws that expressing pro-Pali sentiment = terrorism = felony, and all of a sudden you achieve fascist control of the zeitgeist narrative. Freedom of speech becomes quaint. I would watch out for protest demonstrations to be twisted.

and any distraction which throws the focus off the actual genocide being perpetrated by fcuking cutting off funding for food, and sending moar weapons, is to be avoided:

It appears that several years have passed in the last 2 weeks. The west is threatening because it has little else to offer. The owners of Deutchland, Francais, Polski, Nederland have all began to cluck like chickens or go quiet like fish. The US and UK have announced wondrous missions that will bring glory (but not victory) for the fatherland. Rishi has been quiet due to fear of George Galloway. Joe appears quite happy because his doctor hasn’t told hime he can’t win the election on orders of the Head Cheese of whomever pulls the strings. All he knows is we have to protect zion, Feyd Rautha gets a crisknife to the brain by Paul Atreidies and there goes the Righteous. There is a new sheriff in town. The Harkonnen’s move west and causes property values to tank.
There are plans within plans and victory celebrations held for the tv cameras. Critical mass aproaches as the republic that was once this country bas been replaced and the owner is working hard to kill us all. Maybe the farmland Blackrock thought it was getting 404 has now been switched to the farm lands of America. But those are all poisioned?
Deep sigh. Sy and Pepe are getting played. And people are biting. Because the daily slow-motion horror show ain’t over before dinner like Top Gun 2.
Instead of confronting the true nightmares awaiting us.
Israel is getting ready to open a new front of their genocide in Rafah. Where 1 million Palestinians are waiting with nowhere to hide from the Israeli butchery. Which may force Hezbollah and Iran to uncork. Which may lead to the insane Israeli’s using their nukes.
The day comes when Russia breaks thru to the Dnieper. And turns its eyes on Odessa. Which is where Armagedón awaits. Because the West will not allow Russia to take Odessa and claim the Black Sea. And the Western hubris is such that yet again we may be talking nukes.
Russia, Iran and Hezbollah backed into intractable corners. Western leaders with zero comprehension of reality. Fuck me. They are going to blow this bitch up before I get to Asia and blow all this money sending young women thru hair and nail college.
Dude hurry up! The nail salons need help.
LOL
Sy and Pepe are simply the croupiers. We are the mugs getting played.
Leadership in the West has largely lost its meaning. We have organized crime rackets positioning their paid-for actors into the positions of systemic leadership to follow irrational scripts and entertain the deluded masses.
“And turns its eyes on Odessa. Which is where Armagedón awaits. Because the West will not allow Russia to take Odessa and claim the Black Sea.”
Suggest easing up with the eschatology on your cornflakes, old chap. The Black Sea has several coastal players — none of them the UK or USA — and little will change when Odessa returns to the Russian world. Business will go on and the neutral landlocked ‘administered’ non-Nato Ukraine rump state (or their grain customers) will simply need to pay export fees.
The next big surprise once Nato cracks will likely be Turkey beginning to rebuild its own Ottoman lost limbs. Erdogan cannot go on much longer. A ‘win-win’ deal with Syria would see major changes on the Occupied Palestinian borderlands. I’m not holding my breath, but within a decade is possible.
The West Asian Pakistan-Iran-Turkey-Russia corridor to South Asia will return to its ancient Silk Road status. Decolonization of centuries-old West European influence will shift into a higher gear once the $usd paper fiat is de-nutted. So, yes, the Asian ladies need your glass-beads before they lose their trading value.
I miss my Hong-Kong RnR. Cantonese is a delight to hear and authentic Chinese massage (with or without the ‘happy’) is to die for. Bangkok is a second best alternative. Fret not — gold teeth have eternal Asian value, lol. I have a couple just in case. One for the ferryman. The other for the last rites etc.
The ferryman takes only Bitcoin. Its Blockchain all the way down.
The West will try to prevent Russia taking all of the Black Sea shore, but there actions will be as useful as the defense against the Iranian drone strike.
The western nukes are likely no better maintained than the interstate or German submarines.
“The West will try to prevent Russia taking all of the Black Sea shore…”
How’s that?
Print more money to buy weapons that don’t exist to be used by Ukrainian soldiers who don’t exist?
It would all be so laughably pathetic if America’s actions weren’t so very, very dangerous.
As for the Black Sea, considering how far away it is from North America compared to Russia, the USA should be content with controlling Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey’s NATO Black Sea coastline.
[P.S. I understand you consider America’s attempt to be as futile as I do]
The fact is that having lost control over the Ukrainian section of the Black Sea, the United States will most likely lose control over Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.
The stakes are too high.
yes.
“The fact is that having lost control over the Ukrainian section of the Black Sea, the United States will most likely lose control over Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.”
Nukes will keep everyone within their zone.
“The stakes are too high.”
Exactly. That’s why everyone will stay within their zone.
“Israel is getting ready to open a new front of their genocide in Rafah. Where 1 million Palestinians are waiting with nowhere to hide from the Israeli butchery.”
Why won’t the two-billion strong Muslim umma take in a measly one million Muslim brothers and sisters to protect them during their time of need?
Egypt, which is within walking distance of the entirety of Gaza, could at least shelter the Gazan women and children while Israel deals with Hamas.
Egypt (and all the dozens of other Muslim countries) must have a good reason why they won’t take in a single Gazan while there is supposedly a horrific “genocide/famine” happening in Gaza.
I’m pretty sure that if one million Jews were being genocided/starved in a country bordering Israel they’d take ALL of these Jews in in order to save them. A Christian country would also take in one million Christians being genocided in a neighboring country – so what is it about Muslims where they won’t take a single Muslim child, a child living just across their shared border, who is supposedly facing the threat of “genocide” and “starvation”?
“…the West will not allow Russia to take Odessa and claim the Black Sea.”
Yes, the West will because they can’t stop the Russians (plus their China ally – in a pinch).
The Biden administration is incompetent, but it is not suicidal.
Russia will take the Ukrainian part of the Black Sea and there will not be a nuclear war because of it, There won’t even be American soldiers sent to die in a conventional war in Ukraine over Odessa. Once the Ukrainian fight-age men are dead the killing will stop because I doubt that even the Poles will be stupid enough to jump in and start dying too (similar to how the Americans jumped into Vietnam and started dying there after the French left in disgrace).
“They are going to blow this bitch up before I get to Asia and blow all this money sending young women thru hair and nail college.”
Yeah. If I knew when I’d die I’d spend accordingly.
Speaking of “young women” and “Asia”: During one of my long-term trips to Southeast Asia I met a few single retired Australian men who were spending their “Golden Years” drinking and whoring in Bangkok. These men in their late 60’s didn’t seem to be all too happy with their lot in life. Then again, it was still probably better than the life they left behind in Australia otherwise they would have gone back.
Do you think she really loves him?
Yes.
Then bring her on home to meet the parents!
Hair & Nail “College” – LOL!
It appears that the amount of disinformation being put out is to obfuscate any knowledge about what really happened. All we know for sure, is that it appears that Israel has had a substantial attitude adjustment when it comes to attacking Iran.
For the time being it looks like they are going to stick to attacking and murdering innocent civilians who cannot hit them back. The evil that is Israel, is now far to blatant for anyone to deny.
“The evil that is Israel, is now far to blatant for anyone to deny.”
Well, looking on the bright side, at least Israel ain’t napalming near stone-age (though, unlike Gazans, self-sufficient) rice farmers as we did in Vietnam.
“The evil that is”…to fly halfway around the world to drop sticky jellied gasoline and white phosphorus on subsistence rice-paddy farmers who had never harmed you in any way – there’s your evil.
Bottomline: Hamas F-ed around and found out.
It’s too bad about all of Hamas’s Gazan supporters getting caught up in Israel’s military response to Hama’s attack. But, after all, what did they expect to happen after they attacked Israel, including the murdering and kidnapping of Jews? Did Hamas expect the usual script to be followed: Show a few dead Gazans to the camera (killed in Israeli retaliation) and get a few more billion in aid?
Regardless, you’d think that the two-billion strong Muslim world would at least take in the Muslim-Gazan women and children while Israel dealt with Hamas. Egypt is within walking distance of the entirety of Gaza yet not a single Muslim child, mother and toddler, pregnant teenager, grandma, etc., has been allowed sanctuary within Egypt or any of the other dozens of Muslim countries.
Why do you think that is?
Are they afraid they’ll be stuck with these violent, pro-Hamas, life-long-welfare deadbeats?
You bet they are.
——————————————————
When I think of Palestinians (Gazans) I ALWAYS think of them cheering the murder of 3,000 Americans on 9/11. They’d be doing the same if Hamas managed to murder 3,000 Israelis tomorrow. I have zero sympathy for people – Gazans/Palestinians – who will joyously cheer my throat being slit by their Muslim “brothers” (the same Muslim “brothers” who currently won’t lift a finger to provide sanctuary to a single Gazan).
As I said all along: If the Hamas was sticking it to Israel as Israel is currently sticking it to Gaza the Gazans would be cheering in the streets, exactly as they cheered in the streets the 9/11 murder of 3,000 Americans in the video below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuL4NVZog1g
Your argument is full of logical fallacy and pure stupidity. First the attack on the Israeli military by Hamas, was justified by both the 80 year occupation, and the constant illegal apartheid and war crimes committed by Israel on a daily basis for the past 80 years.
Second, an attack in which less than 1200 people were killed, does not justify the murder of 35,000 civilians who had nothing to do with the attack. It also does not justify the intentional attempt to starve nearly 2 million people to death. It does not justify attempted genocide including attacking hospitals, schools, aid workers, reporters, and the thousands of heinous war crimes that Israel has carried out, with the full support of the Israeli public.
The Israeli’s have proven to the world they are the most hateful immoral people on the planet and the entire nation is guilty of war crimes. Anyone who supports Israel and what they are doing is equally immoral and deserving of the contempt of the rest of humanity.
“First the attack on the Israeli military by Hamas, was justified by both the 80 year occupation, and the constant illegal apartheid and war crimes committed by Israel on a daily basis for the past 80 years.”
Sounds like you’re okaying tit-for-tat violence. Fine by me. In that case Israel is responding to Hamas’s last October’s attack.
“Second, an attack in which less than 1200 people were killed, does not justify the murder of 35,000 civilians who had nothing to do with the attack.”
“Not Fair!” “Not Fair!” It’s called WAR. Innocent people die.
It’s too bad that the Muslim World doesn’t give a rat’s ass about their Gazan “brothers” and “sisters.” This would be the perfect time to show some of that sweet umma love, maybe take them in and give them some shelter.
The Israeli’s have proven to the world they are the most hateful immoral people on the planet and the entire nation is guilty of war crimes.
If you’re an American like me, look in the mirror; if you’re a Muslim look in the mirror; if you’re English, Spanish, Japanese, etc. look in the mirror.
Get the picture?
The truth of the matter is that this Gaza conflict is EXTREMELY small potatoes in the human history of violence. People throwing a hissy-fit over Gaza doesn’t change that.
“Anyone who supports Israel and what they are doing is equally immoral and deserving of the contempt of the rest of humanity.”
How self-righteous of you to say that.
Talk is cheap.
What have YOU done (commenting on internet sites does not count) to make the world a better place?
Israel is currently acting no worse, and even better, than how the USA, Russia, China, England, France, Spain, Mexico, Japan, etc. have acted during various times in their histories. Israel has killed far less people in Gaza than USA/NATO policy has killed young Ukrainian men over the last 2.25 years. I don’t hear you saying the same thing about America or other NATO members as you’re saying about Israel
So, why single out Israel?
(For the record: I care very, very, little for Israel but even less for “Palestine,” mostly because they are constantly-complaining life-long-welfare deadbeats.)
You speak of contempt, I have great contempt for the double standard, for the selective outrage which I see applied to Israel here every day.
There are evil people in the world that perpetrate crimes, and there are evil people in the world to support the people who perpetrate crimes. Both are criminals of the worst type.
Israel has gotten tight with Azerbaijan, supposedly gaining (or trying to gain) basing right for their aircraft to attack Iran. That Azerbaijani news report sounded like it was written by the Israeli government.
Unlikely with Aliev just having been on State visit with Russia.
Armenia cozying up with tje West …
https://sonar21.com/sy-offers-new-version-of-israels-strike-on-iran-and-an-update-from-ukraine/#comment-243286
All I can think is that Sy has lost it. The attack by Iran was exactly successful, *not* a failure as he writes. The rest of the quotation is bollocks as young Ray McG says. 😉
Pepe is likely being played too, though his report is somewhat more plausible.
More and more as time passes, I’ve come to believe that a big weapon in TPTB’s war on humanity is creating this continual confusion in our heads. It’s crazy-making, seriously. Even those we trust can and will lie to us, because they trusted their sources.
TBH Hersh’s comments seem full of hasbara-injected fake data which should be obvious to anyone following the events..
so the question is: why has not Sy seen through the BS? Either is is very ignorant of the history of the place and just takes what he gets at face value unquestionably because he ‘trusts’ his sources or he is actively participating in the charade.
i am beginning to think that Sy is not very well informed on the history of the region. I saw him on youtube make some weird statements about Kiev in the 1800s. How it wa the place to be in the region at that time.
At the risk of OT regarding all this thunder and lightening drama over the Palestine-Iran vector, I note a subtle shift in the Iran-Yemen direction.
Given Houthi agency regarding Occupied Palestine policy (read shipping and Red Sea cables *) is it possible that the USA is finally re-discovering the humble arts of peer-2-peer diplomacy after (as Churchill quipped) all else fails?
We are seeing various tipping points and early routs in the Ukraine. The Duran twins suggest that much of this recent multi-$billion slush fund is actually to square the books in preparation of post-election accounting practice. I’d be interested in reading more on this Yemen line of thinking. Perhaps the Judge will raise it in due course?
(* – “The U.S. ‘Pivots to Diplomacy’ in Yemen” by James Durso, April 24, 2024. http://www.unz.com/article/the-u-s-pivots-to-diplomacy-in-yemen/ )
Zelenskiiy has announced that new recruits will be remote from the the actual front line battles, operating drones. That will be like the European troops then, being sent in to sit in bars.It would be funny if it were no so potentially tragic. Will the actual militaries in any western states go along with this madness, or will the west face its own mutinies?
A few important points to note:
🔹The personnel situation in Bandera Ukraine is hopeless. Even if 1 million Ukrainians were mobilized now. That’s nonsense, of course. But just hypothetically. These 1 million people in uniform would be civilians in uniform. Any supply of weapons and ammunition from the West would not change that. The fact that women have now also been conscripted is proof that “the Ukrainians” are being eliminated.
🔹In Russia, support for the government and its course among the population is rising to “astronomical heights”. The population has understood that the elimination of “all Russians” by the West is the goal. The propaganda and measures in the West against everything Russian are also reminiscent of dark German history. At least as far as certain methods are concerned.
At the same time, a further purge is taking place up to the highest levels. Traitors, elements of organized crime, remnants of the “5th and 6th columns” are weeded out.
🔹Are any of you seeing a major Israeli offensive? Any significant Israeli action? Besides, what can Israel do to achieve anything? Apart from chaos. All the more believable to me that these loony Zionists are capable and willing to use the nuclear weapon themselves. No matter what is true or not true about Escobar’s story.
Ebrahim Raisi gave very clear warnings on his trip abroad.
🔹The failed resolution against North Korea in the UN Security Council, orchestrated by the USA. Now the USA and its vassals want to adopt sanctions within the framework of the UN without the votes of Russia and China. That would mean the end of the UN.
🔹In the West, human and civil rights are being eliminated at full speed.
At the same time, censorship and repression are increasing even more. That also reminds me of dark times.
🔹China is now threatened by even more dramatic attacks on its economy. I am absolutely certain that China and its partners have prepared well for this development and the BRICS response will be devastating for the empire. That’s what logic and gut feeling tell me.
🔹Will anything change under Trump? I’m convinced that Trump is just the other side of the coin. Will there be an election? Electoral fraud? A coup? We’ll know soon enough.
—
Summary: The empire and the West are in despair and are lashing out frantically.
“At the same time, further purges are carried out up to the highest levels. Traitors, elements of organized crime, and remnants of the 5th and 6th columns are eliminated.”
On this occasion (about the scandal surrounding Ivanov, Shoigu’s deputy), Marat Khairullin wrote in the most detail from what I came across on the RuNet (Although I didn’t like that he swung above his area of competence).
The text is long, I had to shorten it.
“The arrest of Timur Ivanov – a black mark for Shoigu?
Or help so that Kuzhugetovich is not distracted from saving the Motherland
The arrest of Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov literally blew up the entire Russian Internet – what is behind this? There are two main versions. The first is treason. The second is a black mark for Defense Minister Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu. Let’s try to figure out how true each of them is.
….
So, let’s start with the first version.
The motive of treason is clearly present, since the military counterintelligence of the FSB, which was in charge of this case, is not involved in construction. Another thing is that we are not talking about pure treason (in the criminal sense of this term). Rather, we are talking about a kind of general loyalty, where everything is built on halftones.
This is a special internal security system “friend or foe”, built by Putin’s team, which grew up in conditions of constant blurring of the coordinates and goals of national policy by the Western comprador lobby. Positioning in this internal system of “friend or foe” is a marker that is constantly present in all high-profile cases of this kind in recent years.
This Jesuitical and non-public system of targeting justice for the government system built by Putin is a direct reaction to the equally sophisticated and very cunning policy of the West, which is aimed at destroying our statehood.
……………
An even more typical example is the series of criminal cases surrounding Dmitry Medvedev in the period after his resignation from the post of prime minister. The Magomedov case, the so-called “chess mafia” cases, the resignation and removal of Dvorkovich, Tkachev. Then they seriously cleaned his circle of agents of influence.
………….
Please note: Medvedev, Abdulatipov and Kerimov remained free. This means that from the point of view of this “friend or foe” system built by Putin, they still retained loyalty to the Russian state.
…………
Now, regarding corruption. ……
Our country is ruthlessly fighting so-called socially significant corruption – this is when citizens in general suffer directly from bribes. It flies here quickly, inevitably and revealingly.
But when it comes to the elites, Putin’s managers learned through bitter experience that if you mow down everyone using the same algorithm, the system will break down very quickly.
……….
I repeat, there is only one marker for prison in this case – general disloyalty to our state.
……..
Besides, there is certainly corruption in Ivanov’s case, but we most likely will not see the full depth of “this Mariana Trench.”
…….
Yes, the composition of an organized crime group in modern times means that a person will most likely never be released. There is only one option – active cooperation with the investigation.
As for the fate of Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu, as the head of the department, this incident will not affect it in any way. I have already written more than once. Shoigu was chosen to be the frontman of this battle with the West a long time ago. Putin chose him for a reason, but because of a number of important qualities that Shoigu possesses. First of all, this is the ability to organize work in “complex teams”.
…………….
By the way, from personal observation, the soldiers love Kuzhugetovich on the front end. Some generals are not very good, but Shoigu is loved and called by his patronymic – Kuzhugetych, which means one of their own. Therefore, Putin will not remove it, he certainly will not.”
https://t.me/voenkorkhayrullin/2463

I agree with that. Loyalty and effectiveness were the most important criteria for Putin. Loyalty to the fatherland. It was always very irritating for me that so many (obscenely) rich functionaries were in office, right up to the highest state offices. However, wealth was not primarily a problem for me, but decadence in some cases.
It is very difficult to process the huge flood of Russian-language information from abroad. Especially because I have to rely on machine translation. I am also very cautious about many publications and postings because emotions play a very strong role in Russia.
I understand you perfectly. It is also difficult for me to process Russian-language information, although I am in Russia and Russian is my native language. 90% is garbage.
But I have the same problem with machine translation into English.
It also causes some annoyance when I see that foreigners use information from unreliable telegram channels, the authors of which are former citizens of Ukraine, secretly disloyal to Russia, but loyal to Ukraine at heart. They are difficult to distinguish by external signs. Even I have to turn on my sixth sensory organ to distinguish the wheat from the chaff.
But you are one of the few who understands everything very well without the distortion of perception that is natural for a foreigner. This means your “radars” are configured correctly.
Thanx Gera – Have only noticed you on Larrys blog recently but appreciate your ‘within Russia by a Russian’ insight. Having to rely on translations done by God only knows who with whatever built in prejudices that we can’t see/intuit IS difficult & we are bombarded with a flurry of often conflicting info. You do appear to be an ‘honest broker’
The business with Gen Ivanov follows on from the arrest of another Army officer over a contract awarding scandal a week or so ago ??? Do I have that right? Are the arrests related or
Interested in your mentioning of Medvedev & others . . . knew/know nothing about that. Perhaps Larry would like an article length ‘guest commentary’ from you explaining your take on the background to this corruption saga & where or how the fallout has/may/will lead to.
Thank you for your trust.
I really try to be honest in my statements.
I prefer to remain silent if I am not sure that I understand the situation correctly. But I’m just an ordinary citizen of Russia, I’m not a politician, I’m nobody and I don’t have inside information. I can only share my own feelings of the country in which I live, the people to which I belong, and my subjective perception of events.
“The case with General Ivanov is a continuation of the arrest of another army officer due to the contract award scandal a week or so ago???”
I don’t have an answer to this question. I haven’t seen an analysis of the situation anywhere on the RuNet. Perhaps I just missed it.
“Perhaps Larry would like to have an article-length ‘guest commentary’ from you explaining your views on the background to this corruption saga and what or how it has led/could lead/lead.”
You have presented a comprehensive question in a very concise manner. 🙂
Larry has more knowledgeable sources of information regarding Russia than I do.
I can only emphasize in more detail the main ideas of the previous comment (about corruption scandals, Medvedev, etc.). In that commentary I cited excerpts from an article by war correspondent Marat Khairullin (a talented writer, by the way), to whose blog Larry himself has access and to which he sometimes refers.
1. Corruption was, is and will be in any country. I take this as an axiom.
2. Only that garbage from the Kremlin, from the highest echelons of power, which they consider necessary and possible to remove, is brought before the public. Further, the public speculates, distorts and spreads on a wide front in whatever way it pleases.
3. Regarding the persons mentioned.
To simplify understanding, it is possible to divide government officials in Russia and officials of various ranks into 2 categories.
The first, the most numerous, is the category of officials who strive to occupy their positions in order to receive money, wealth and a bit of power.
The second category works to fulfill their personal duty to the state. They need money not for personal enrichment, but to fulfill their mission to the maximum possible extent.
The second category includes Putin, Medvedev, Shoigu, Gerasimov, Mishustin, Nabiullina…I cannot say how wide the circle of government officials from the second category is. I think that it is wide enough for Russia to develop along the chosen path.
It is this second category of government officials that Marat Khairullin speaks about when he writes about the criteria for selecting Personalities based on the principle of loyalty to the state – about “a special internal security system “friend or foe” built by Putin’s team.”
Corruption scandals that arise from time to time among the subordinates of the mentioned Personalities from the second category do not affect these Personalities themselves, because through their activities they have proven their devotion to the state and the common cause for the good of Russia.
Everyone can make mistakes and miscalculations. Only those who do not work do not make mistakes.
I hope I answered the question that worries you. I answered as much as I understood your question.
Please note: Ivanov is NOT a member of the military, albeit he wears a general’s uniform. He is a civilian. His being allowed to wear a military uniform is purely an honorific. Likewise Shoigu is not a military man. Ivanov should not have been allowed to appear in court wearing a general’s uniform. He only did so as a a result of his being promptly bundled away from the MoD by the security service.

Lies, damned lies and I Zrail propaganda.
The next Blinking report, under oath, will tell us a flock of Chinese aircraft took off from a 30 ft yacht in the Baltic. . . either that or the British Minister for War will appear on TV with an equally huge bbc whopper.
As to hacking – Rumble’s Defence Summary Asia blog in the last several two days past reported many, many sophisticated pro I Zrael sites popping up on a Turkish cooking site – recipes and so forth. All new sites, they have ‘all of a sudden’ hundreds of thousands of ‘views and hits’. |He showed several which are all similar slick generated, and all very likely ai generated, This latter comment is based on the time it takes him, to put together a report that is nowhere near as sophisticated.
Larry J’s first video looks to be ai generated too. Looks like an I Zraili ai promotion.
Well, I Zrail has embraced genocide, killing of and burying, hands-tied civilians – recently unearthed, bombing more or less defenceless civilians, mengolai style organ harvesting, . . . it is no surprise they have taken on board the goebles play book.
“No amount of wonder weapons supplied by the U.S. or NATO can solve Ukraine’s shortage of trained troops, who are dying in increasing numbers under Russia’s relentless bombardment.” This, of course, is the key. I wonder how many of those who are actually fighting are doing so willingly? Today there is a report in RT about the Polish “Defence” minister apparently promising to help Kiev round up young Ukrainians who are “dodging their civic duty”. He comments “I think that many of our compatriots were and are outraged when they see young Ukrainian men in cafes and hear about how much effort it takes us to help Ukraine.”
I wonder how how long it will be before people in the propagandised West begin to question why it is so many young Ukrainians are unwilling to participate in this war. It was brought home to me the other day how incapable people brainwashed by the western media are of putting two and two together. Here in rural England, an acquaintance of mine, who was selling a rental property he owned, complained that he was unable to sell it to a young local couple because they could not raise enough money for the deposit on the mortgage. He ended up selling to a young Ukrainian “refugee” who had no difficulty in coughing up £30,000. Yet my acquaintance was all gung ho for stopping the evil Putin and – until I put it to him – did not question where this guy, who was not fighting the orcs, had got this cash. I cannot imagine the bitterness that will be left behind, quite apart from the destruction, when this is all over. The reality is that no one wanted it except those who have profited out of it. The poor sods who have been drafted into the slaughter and manage to survive, I suspect, will never forgive those responsible. The West will lose Ukraine just as they’ve lost Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and in reality most of the rest of the world.
Yep. Las Malvinas coming soon too!
Sy Hersh “an armada of allied fighter planes—secretly organized by the Pentagon, with the support of Russia….”
I think we all can agree that certainly DID NOT happen. I’m sure Russia would’ve told the “Pentagon” to go smoke a pipe bomb if asked for anything. I am certain Russia knew exactly what Iran was going to do and was in agreement and in acknowledgment with Iran.
I don’t know what exactly Sy is trying to do here, maybe save Biden I guess, or the Democrats, or country from Trump??? Whatever, I don’t really know.
Sounds like it’s trying to glorify Israel after the it’s horrific genocide program. It’s pretty ugly whatever the heck Sy is doing lately.
Escobar is most of the time a good source and occasionally duped into acting as an operative
Hersh is an operative who occasionally provides good information
A comment on X12 (garland-and-me) says: “The glaring distinction Larry Johnson didn’t make between Sy Hersh and Pepe Escobar is that Sy is Jewish.” Another comment herein links him to the Clinton Gang. Doesn’t sink his boat, but reduces my interest in his case.

There’s an alternate version of the story that came out a few days prior to Escobar’s exclusive scoop, where instead of missiles launched from F35s from outside Occupied Palestine, a new two stage missile was launched at Iran from within Occupied Palestine:
https://southfront.press/israel-used-secret-missiles-in-attack-on-irans-isfahan-air-base-photos/
And there’s satellite imagery that is purported to be of Eighth Shekari Air Base in Iran, showing damage to an air defense system:

Pepe is known as a rocknroll journalist. Keef Richards with a notepad. The Hunter S Thompson of Geopolitics.
He’s spent months hanging out at conferences in places where you keep your nose clean, but has recently returned to Brazil for a while. I’m guessing he’s been doing some serious partying!
That report mentions 2-stage air launched missiles, with second stages found.
Makes no sense.
Iran ground-launched ballistics – why not Israel too?
The Zionists have ground launch missiles that can reach Iran. In this instance the first stage of the two-stage missile that was found in Iraq had lugs that are typically used for attachment to an aircraft. Air-launched missiles are more difficult to detect compared to ground-launched so maybe the increased probability of striking the target was the reason this type of missile was used.
The kluge is a 2 stage add-on. No need for air-launch, the lugs are on the original. Iran ground-launched got through AD.
It begins to look like Israel exposed something – either they have something that works, or a bungled kluge.
I think the one most glaringly and blindingly obvious omissions with every single one of these writers and experts is that not one of them has ever discussed the possibilities and probabilities of how this will end.
You cannot tell me in todays society where everyone not only has a staunch and unshakable opinion about everything (covid vaccines ring any bells) but serious issues of control – demanding you agree with them – no one has a blueprint? All these alleged experts?
It makes no sense – every single article rehashes what’s transpiring. How is it even remotely possible there is not a plethora of writings regarding the varying strategy’s but more importantly, why? Are they controlled?
I have come to the conclusion many of these articles and certainly the comment section are simply to quell the indignation and provide a format for people to come together and voice their anger and disdain. Not one person is talking about solutions – how is this even possible?
I will say this I personally believe the situation in Ukraine is all about keeping Russia bogged down in Russia to prevent it from moving on to the middle east.
It seems obvious to me as once again all the experts have no answer as to why they are continuing a futile war. How is this too possible – no answers? C’mon
I also believe Russia may’ve actually started and lured NATO into this war in order to deplete everyone involved of their military capabilities and has certainly succeeded while Russia, China, Iran and others (now allies) in the Middle East have accomplished just the exact polar opposite.
It seems to me there is no better time but the present for Russia to make a move and abolish the USA as the (false) hegemony it is. We all know the situation in Israel is and was always about trade and the new channel and shipping lanes and a fight for control – the USA versus Russia and China.
The other side of that coin is has Netanyahu made a pact with Putin to expedite the destruction of Israel – could he seek political asylum in Russia in return?
BJ, what are you talking about? I don’t even know the point of your multi paragraph rant you accuse other of doing. Talk about solutions, or how this will all end? You either haven’t been paying attention, or you had your mind already made up on what you were going to post. Get this, just about every single commentator in independent media has been speculating about how this ends. And, russia secretly provoked the conflict? I want what you are smoking.
Jesse, we know the situation in Israel is all about control of the gas fields off Gaza, shipping lanes, trade and the new canal. What is the continuation of the war in Ukraine about other than a war of attrition to prevent Russia from moving on to the middle east where it can an easily take control. Many months ago I reads an article which stated THAT was the greatest fear of the USA (those who’re actually in charge and not the face puppets).
There isn’t anything I do not read and or watch on Independent media. I don’t own a TV nor have I watched one in decades I wouldn’t know how to turn it on nor have I ever voted nor ever will – the massive corruption malfeasance and subterfuge is impregnable as is the endless stupidity of the people who vote and think it matters.
I have watched and read Scott Ritter, Colonel Macgregor, John Mearsheimer, Alastair Crooke, Professor Michael Hudson, Pepe Escobar, Larry Johnson and the list goes on and on and on and on. I spend all my time reading and researching as I am also happily retired and only work P/T.
Kindly enclose the exact articles and blueprints of the varying strategies because everything I have read merely discusses what is currently transpiring and setting those facts straight. Oct 7th etc. etc. etc.
What is your answer to the intentional self destruction of Israel and the purpose of the continuation of the war in Ukraine when everyone says it is a lost cause? For me I believe it is to keep penned in although Scott Ritter has said they are only using 15% of their military force to fight this war.
The Zionist colony is the very last vestige of the British Empire, as PM Sunak reminded Gantz :
Benny Gantz traveled to London to meet with National Security Advisor Tim Barrow. To his surprise, the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, insisted on talking to him to tell him that there was no question of Israel becoming a state like any other. The British colonial project continues to stand in the way of peace.
Washington, London and Tel Aviv entangled in Palestine

Here is Israel’s Number 2 , Gantz, having tea at Number 10 getting an update from British PM Sunak. “The show must go on, you see”. Neither could care less what D.C. thinks.
Britain’s century-long commitment to Zionism and collaboration with Israel today plays a frequently overlooked role in perpetuating the oppression and genocide against Palestinians.

Fish-and-chips, anyone?
We hear a lot about Iran’s ballistics getting right through Israeli AD.
If Iran can develop such ballistics, their hypersonics apparently kept for later, why could Israel also not have such ground launched ballistics?
If Israel did use them, is the dog-and-pony show simply a diversion?

Fart in a Spacesuit / Need to Know.
I awoke this morning thinking I had worked out a basic understanding of what may have taken place during the Israeli counter strike against Iran. I then received a reply from an old friend which makes no sense to me and he admitted it made no sense to him (26+ years working in that field).
So I still do not fully understand what went “down” but there is a story here and the story is more about getting the message out than the message itself.
Don’t shoot the messenger (‘s).
Just for a moment take out the words ‘F-35 and EMP’ and replace it with ‘Fart in a Spacesuit’. Someone or group of people want us to know that there has been an incident in the spacesuit.
This information may be very important, it could have been big and bad or a close shave with a very damaging effect!
However the problem is, nothing they can say or show you will help you see, hear or smell what went on (or is still going on) inside the spacesuit.
I for one was quick off the mark to say the incident failed the “smell test”, I was too focused on the story (details) and not the message, I was wrong.
Sometimes the story makes no sense to us simply because we do not have the whole story yet. We may never get it. So for now think about this:
The Iranians had planned this for 20 years.
The Israelis had planned a response for 20 years.
The major powers knew this was a possibility for 20 years.
No MSM East or West have said a peep, yet!
Agree with your analysis (as always). Yesterday Scott Ritter (w/ the Judge) explained F35’s are not equipped to handle ‘certain’ weapons. Adds to the questionable reporting.
The target for Israel to make a demonstration on Iran is to bust one of their huge hydro dams. MvC was posting about it so it’s no secret.
https://thealtworld.com/andrew_korybko/was-pepe-escobar-duped-by-a-foreign-spy-agency-into-spreading-fake-news-about-russia-israel
Trump should make Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green his VP, cause you know, she is quite the whippersnapper:
“Marjorie Taylor Greene has introduced an amendment to a foreign aid bill to require members of Congress who vote in favor of providing aid to Ukraine to join the country’s military.” Trump is flagging lately, but not Greene, nope. She lives to torment members of congress. I like her. She has an unconditional faith. I like her.
May be wrong; but it seems the Russian strategic objective is to destroy the Ukranian Army. A few more dollars will only prolong the eventuality. It seems that the Iranian strategy is a war of attrition against Israel (and it’s backers). Mutual Assured Destruction, if at parity, puts a defensive wall around Iran, i.e unless Israel can mount a fully decapitating strike that guarantees – no retailiation in kind, a missile here, a drone there, are meaningless. Note: Hezbollah seems to be an effective standing army at Israel’s gate’s. Israel’s strong spot and weak spot is air superiority which requires pilots, equipment, maintaineance, armament, and jet fuel. So my line of thought takes to me to asking out of curiosity: Where does Israel get its aviation fuel?
Turkey apparently
“when an Iranian drone and missile assault on Israel failed after an armada of allied fighter planes—secretly organized by the Pentagon, with the support of Russia—shot down more than three hundred armed Iranian drones and missiles headed for targets in Israel.”
Hersh says Russia collaborated with the Pentagon to shoot down Iranian missiles?
How about Russia and US agreed for the US to shoot it down and pass the blame on to Russia ?
The S-300 battery in Syria is rather far from the Jordanian border and it would have to shoot at an outgoing target. I know the S-300 is good but is it that good ?

As much as I admire Pepe, I have to disagree with him on one major (IMO) point he makes – he is in touch with intelligence agencies that don’t lie. This is, IMO, absurd. All intelligence agencies lie – it is their nature, a major part of their mission. Surely, Pepe can not be so naive.
Having said that, I do believe Pepe accurately reported what he heard and that he does not necessarily endorse it as truth as he knows he has no proof to back it up.
As for Sy Hersh, he, on the other hand, appears to claim truth of what he is reporting, believing what he is told. I have serious doubts.

can’t wait for alexander mercouris to inform us on his daily almost 90 minutes update that one of his sources which he won’t reveal told him something about this affair. This stuff is getting out of hand. What if it was true that Israel did send some planes and it was the US that shot them down and then put it on the Russians to avoid the wrath of the Israeli lobby in the US.
I would it put past the cia to plant these varying stories to discredit these two.
