I was interviewed last week by the iconic Michael Savage. Yes, he is a mensch. I understand the full interview will be posted sometime this week. Here is a snippet.
Now, with respect to Niger, things are heating up and a war seems inevitable. African countries still closely aligned with the United States and the United Kingdom (e.g., Nigeria) reportedly are massing forces on the border of Niger. Add to this the continued presence of French and U.S. military personnel based in Niger. By itself I do not believe that Niger has the military force capable of foiling this prospective invasion. The same countries crying crocodile tears over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine are ready to use their military force against a sovereign country. This level of hypocrisy is galling.
With the outbreak of war brewing I am wondering if we will see Niger and its allies supplied with NATO weapons that were sent to Ukraine. We know, thanks to 60 Minutes last summer, that substantial amounts of Western weapon systems have been diverted to the black market. Who is buying this stuff? It seems to me that countries like Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso may have found a way to equip their respective armies with Western weapons normally denied to them.
If Niger has grabbed some stinger missiles off the black market then it could use them against French combat aircraft, military transports and U.S. helicopters ferrying members of U.S. Africom around that country. I am sure that the Wagner group, which has a presence in the region, would have access to that equipment and the knowledge of how to use it. Are we looking at the beginning of a new proxy war between the West and Russia? Something to ponder in the coming week.
Nigerian Congress resoundingly ruled against war. Best news of my week. Hope that influences other countries.
Yes, but does that mean Nigeria will not enter the war?
Fingers crossed.
The president of Nigeria was very vocal last year about the extent to which Boko Haram have been armed by Ukraine. So, Nigeria are already involved in a counter terrorism war against “Ukrainian/NATO” hardware.
https://saharareporters.com/2022/11/30/weapons-russia-ukraine-war-now-slipping-africa-used-terrorists-buhari
Ukrainians are very enterprising. They’ll sell off anything not nailed down, including their souls.
What does Nigeria’s congress have to do with America’s decisions about Nigerian troops invading Niger?
“Nigerien” or “Nigerian”? Which country?
“en” is Niger, “an” is Nigeria.
The US military most closely resembles the proverbial Irishman who walks by the front of a pub and sees two drunks brawling in the gutter. He inquires solicitously: “Is this a private fight, or can anyone join in?” The US military simply cannot conceive of a fight between other foreign parties in which it cannot involve itself, to the detriment of all concerned.
Great comment! I love the analogy, though I think in this case one of the drunks (Nigeria) has been set upon the other (Niger) by the Irishman represented by the US, UK and France (FUKUS, for short).
More like the US instigated the fight as a distraction so they could rob the bar.
Spot on!
Unfortunately, very true.
Look up the U.S. PEACE COUNCIL.
THERE’RE BILLS IN CONGRESS TO REFDUCE THE U.S. MILITARY BUDGET.
The Niger military Junta would not have pulled the coup off if they didn’t have the confidence that they could defeat the US/French/Nigerian intervention. We shall see how this unfolds. The populations of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger combined is about 72 million. The combat area are quite large, Chad have stated they would not intervene. Does the West have enough weaponry to wage another proxy war? I’m not convinced.
Algeria is key since irbid heavily armed and supplies Southern Europe with gas
It also loathes France and would love to bring Macron down
Were any French ever sanctioned or tried for war crimes over the Algerian War? Just wondering how this rules-based international order the west keeps talking about works.
It looks to be around 1200-1600 miles by road from Algiers to the Niger border, and another 100 miles or so to the town of Arlit. Maybe another 400-500 miles to the capitol Niamey. Driving across the Sahara – it ain’t the freeway. The logistics for supplying an army via Algeria seems a bit of a problem. You need fuel, water and provisions for the round trip.
CIA World Factbook tells me they’ve got 10 airports with paved runways and another 20 with unpaved runways and limited facilities. Re-supply by air may be feasible if granted access to Algerian or Libyan airspace. This would quickly get rather expensive and the weight of fuel for the return trip would limit the payload.
The book tells me Niger’s had successful military coups in 1974, 1996, 1999, and 2010. I don’t recall the West giving a stuff about those coups. However, looking at Niger’s major exports (gold, sesame seeds, uranium, refined petroleum, onions), I can see why the French would be concerned by an interruption in the supplies of sesame seeds and onions.
The West Africans are rebelling against French colonial rule. Yes, it still exists. Here is a short video of the French being ousted from Mali last year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heylrE00fCI
The French only sent troops into Mali a few years ago to try to keep Mali from being assimilated by the Islamic terrorists that the US (and France) armed and sent after Gaddafi with a secondary mission to see if they could stem the flow of migrants from that fateful decision.
It’s the vicious circle of American statesmanship, otherwise known as the intl rules-based order. The EU thought it was finally free and clear after the Balkans settled down. Ha – famous last thought. Libya, Syria, assorted others and now Ukraine were yet to come knocking.
Meanwhile, Uncle Sam kicks back on a hot summer afternoon, has a few Bud Lights and sings ‘What, me worry?’
You should look at Joint Military Command Algeria set up years ago with Mali and Niger and Southern Military Zone
Algeria has Iskander systems
I doubt Algeria keeps all its kit in Algiers any more than US keeps it all in Fort Hood
Algeria is very well armed and has $17bn refresher order in Moscow
Russians agree.

Or they pulled the coup b/c their choice was to watch foreigners take away Niger’s immense resources while its population struggles in destitution and no effort at development is made by rulers who only think of enriching themselves or try doing something about it. Delusion resides in the West, the rest of the Mankind is far more realistic. The West feels entitled to meddle in everybody’s affairs, in the rest of the world, people would rather mind their own business and when there is a grassroots popular rebellion – as opposed to US / West / Soros sponsored astroturf movements -, it isn’t b/c they know for sure that they will succeed but b/c they feel it as their human duty to act.
This is going to be interesting and horrifying.
The U.S. is the driving force behind the deaths of est. 400k and counting Ukr & Mercenaries & NATO soldiers and the decimation of Ukraine. Money. Blood money. And more to be had.
Same in Africa. U.S. leading the same neocons and corrupt blood thirsty money hungry soulless husks of flesh.
I’m sick of their filth.
Decimation is a 10% reduction designed by Romans to preserve and enhance fighting capacity – Zelensky is more into 100% liquidation or Devastation and Wipeout
Decimation was a terrifying punishment on Roman soldiers who put the group at risk.
For example, whenever the Romans set up camp somewhere, they used exactly the same tent placements and spacing, the same pathway layouts, the same storage locations, etc., everywhere so that any soldier from any group would immediately know where things were, even at night if there was some alarm and they had to assemble quickly in the dark — they knew exactly how many steps and in what direction without thinking so that the could focus on the threat at hand. Failure to do this put the entire group at risk and carried a severe penalty.
If the penalty was to be decimation, 10 small, thin sticks which were identical but for one that was slightly but noticeably shorter than the others were tightly grasped by the administrator who made sure that all sticks were even at the top for choosing. Then ten randomly chosen soldiers were lined up and asked to pull a stick. The unfortunate soldier who pulled the short stick was put to death. He might have been the best, the most honorable, the most valiant soldier in the entire group, but it would not save him. The randomness of the punishment was so terrifying that it ensured absolute order during battle, territorial expansion, etc. So brutal and inherently unfair was this punishment that to this day it is described in the expression “ he drew the short stick” regarding someone in a bind not necessarily of his own making.
Nuland the agriculturalist explained to Biden that a scorched earth just reinvigorates Ukraine’s unique fertile soil. Biden exclaimed: “Soab, that’s good news. You’re the smartest gal I know. Now, get me Monsanto on the phone. I want sonny boy on their board.”
Nuland has dragged the whole State Department and the ancient art of Diplomacy into a pig styx. If these neocon parasites ever get flushed out it will take a decade just to recover and maybe not even then.
And then Russia and Iran forcing America out of Syria. Russia and China muscling their way into Cuba and Venezuela.
……and the difference being, both Russia and Iran were invited into Syria, same with Cuba and Venezuela. The US/UK/NATO are loathed and detested thieving parasites, who cannot survive without a daily dose of human sacrifice to Molech. Thankfully their demise is iminent and humanity can soon breathe a sigh of relief.
Troll alert.
I can smell him from here.
“Russia and China muscling their way into Cuba and Venezuela”
I wouldn’t agree that they are “muscling” their way in, they are invited and very welcome guests.
That might be the Russo-China plan, but it hasn’t happened yet, and I don’t think it ever will. Both are a Bridge Too Far for Russia and China.
Unfortunately, Russia and Iran have not forced the US out of Syria. Hopefully it will happen soon. Meanwhile US forces are continue to aid in oil theft and I assume are still supporting the head chopping jihadi lunatics that have trying to take down Assad since 2012.
I once had the privilege of taking some graduate courses in Buddhism and Sanskrit from the late Dr. Ananda W. P. Guruge, prolific author and formerly Sri Lanka’s ambassador to France and the United States. On one occasion I asked him why his government declined the US military’s offer of assistance with the Tamil insurgency then raging on the island nation. Said he, simply and profoundly: “If the Americans come, they will just draw an arbitrary line through a temporary problem and make it permanent.”
The following from Simplicius (https://simplicius76.substack.com/p/sitrep-8523-projecting-the-intermediate) may be very relevent.
“There is a claim that Nigerien ‘junta’ general Mody is requesting the immediate help and deployment of Wagner forces, via Mali backchannels”
“Normally, this would perhaps be uncorroborated rumor, however today footage appeared to show a Russian military heavy transport plane landing in the Niger capital of Niamey, with claims that Wagner forces are arriving”
“The Nigerian senate has vetoed the deployment of military against Niger, but I’m not sure how much this matters given that ECOWAS countries continue to take an aggressive posture and threaten a military intervention. More and more, the sides are taking shape. Senegal has now voiced full backing for military intervention while Algeria said that this would be a threat to its own national security and implied backing Niger militarily”
“..Nigerian president, ECOWAS chairman, and U.S. toady who’s leading the push for military intervention in Niger.” looks to be itching to play an African version of Zelensky

Leader of an Islamic organization in Nigeria has warned this man against attacking Niger. I saw the video but am unable to find it just now. I will post the link when I find it.
There is no better thing to wish for today than to see the French Government and it’s little Micron take a Stinger up the exhaust tube and once and for all, for them to all realize, their short lived empire, is no more. If France needs Uranium from Niger, then France needs to take its hat in hand and ask Niger politely for some and expect to pay the going rate. Europe is a resource poor country and their oligarchs should realize that their smash and grab in Africa or anywhere else is tolerated no more.
This type of capitalism where wars are started for some asshole billionaire’s greed needs to end. A good example of this crap, is Venezuela’s misery resulting from the Koch criminal enterprise. So much an imposed misery for a couple of kleptomaniacs is unacceptable.
“Micron” ! good one
Simplicius provided a great link to an article on the shady President of Nigeria, his links with the US, and his start laundering money from heroine smuggling.
https://thegrayzone.com/2023/08/05/bagman-ecowas-chairman-invade-niger/
Interesting how gangsters and criminals seems to be the natural allies of the US and UK. On the other hand, it is not surprising given how great wealth itself was accumulated by the West over the last few centuries, and the reduction of the current rules based international order into pure gangsterism.
Assuming Bazoum won legitimately, then his being ousted in a coup probably isn’t great. The coupsters don’t like France, though, so I like that about them. Nigeria should stay out. Hausas are most of Niger as well as the majority of northern Nigeria. No need to inflame them just to curry favor with the Americans.
Won legitimately ? Probably postal voting as in last German election with its irregularities or even polling stations without ballots in some areas of Berlin and extended voting hours in other areas of Berlin
All in a Green Cause
No doubt Niger had clean elections like Ukraine and USA
I see there was an army coup attempt before Bazoum was inaugurated in 2020 since popular sentiment felt the election was rigged………he had been Interior Minister (?) of the Ruling Party prior
It was an article not a video. Here is the article link
“Niger coup: Don’t take military action against junta, JNI warns ECOWAS ”
https://punchng.com/niger-coup-dont-take-military-action-against-junta-jni-warns-ecowas/
The Jama’atu Nasril Islam, on Saturday, warned Nigeria and the authorities of the Economic Community of West African States not to take military action against the junta in the Niger Republic.
The caution is contained in a statement issued in Kaduna by JNI Secretary General, Prof Khalid Aliyu.
Aliyu said that the JNI, representing the collective voice of the Muslim community, expressed its deep concern over the seizure of power through a coup from the democratically elected Niger Republic, President Mohamed Bozoum.
“We firmly note the relevance of upholding democratic principles and the rule of law to fostering the stability, development and steady progress within nations.
“Without a doubt, these are the cornerstones for good governance because democratic principles and the rule of law prevent arbitrary use of force and power and ensure consistency with international human rights, norms and standards,“ Aliyu said.
The JNI commended the efforts so far undertaken by the Nigerian government, particularly the initiation of a dialogue process, aimed at resolving the crisis in Niger Republic.
“While this attempt may not have yielded the desired results, it demonstrates Nigeria’s commitment to peaceful resolutions.
“We acknowledge that dialogue is an invaluable tool in preventing further bloodshed and instability within the Sahel Region, which has many political and security uncertainties.
“Nevertheless, we wish to raise a word of caution against pursuing military action as a means to restore democracy,” he said.
According to Aliyu, the interlaced landscape of the northern states of Nigeria and the Niger Republic necessitates a more cautious and thoughtful action and approach.
He explained that with several Nigerian states sharing borders with Niger Republic, military intervention could have unintended consequences that might impact the peace and stability of both nations.
Aliyu called upon all stakeholders to give concentrate on a diplomatic and political resolution to the crisis in Niger Republic.
“We believe strongly that dialogue, cooperation and negotiation are the most effective means to establish lasting peace and stability in the region,” he said.
He said it was equally essential that the international community, including ECOWAS, continue to engage the junta in peaceful diplomatic discussions aimed at resolving the problem.
He called on Nigerians to turn to God in prayers, seeking His merciful intervention and to guide the country’s leaders toward taking wise decisions and a peaceful resolution of the crisis in the Niger Republic.
“Let us pray together for the restoration of peace and order, the protection of human rights and the wellbeing of the people of Nigeria and Niger Republic.
“JNI reiterated its commitment to promoting unity, understanding, and cooperation among all Muslim communities.
“We stand united against any form of injustice, oppression, and violence and advocate for a peaceful and harmonious world.
My bet is on no aggression of Niger by the mini-NATO, the ECOWAS, as Nigeria (whose parliament today voted against military engagement), Ivory Coast, and Senegal (all saddled with some old farts as leaders) are militarily too weak to take on the alliance of countries with the new generation of leaders pledging to defend Niger and those are Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea and additionally Algeria. Chad has stated it is staying out. Supply line of Russian weapons and ammunition can clearly be organized through Algeria. Most importantly, the people of Niger are fully behind the military and against the guy they “elected” who instead of addressing them is asking for a foreign aggression against his country (though he appears to be actually Libyan with a dirty pro-NATO role in destroying that country).
Unfortunately if logic dictated the actions of the West, there would be neither NATO nor a proxy war in Ukraine.
The Empire of Lies and its vassals will not allow Africa to slip through their greedy little fingers so easily.
Interesting yes. I would have thought, just as a logic exercise, that if you wanted to conduct a coup such as Niger has done, that this is about the perfect timing. The US, and European allies are close to being played out for money and weapons stocks with which to conduct a war anywhere in the world. Ukraine has additionally not only sucked them dry, but also exposed the inadequacy overall of western military technology in conducting modern warfare, especially against Russia.
As a further note, Wagner was clearly expecting this development as they weren’t far away and crossed back into NIger yesterday. I note also that the Nigerian senate body voted against taking military action against Niger, so I’m not sure where that might leave NIgeria’s involvement in armed battle with Niger’s forces.
Aha! Tovarich Cocainskyi is one step ahead of you. This,by selling weapons of the West to all worldwide buyers, whilst sending their Deplorables to the Russian front, in order to die for their Ukie Rodina. This, facilitating their non-payment to the families of the dearly departed, and getting Uncle Schmuel to donate American dollars to pay for the Ukie Social Security. Is this a great country or what? You can pencil in both the US of A, as well as Cocainistan as “Great Countries.” You will excuse me, but I need to lie down for a spell, as I am suffering from migraines, caused by wanton cynicism of both of our demoncratic Republics.
your cynicism is well merited, as ‘cocayyinskyy’ and the US compete for status of ‘most corrupt’. Do have a lie down for your migraine, there are so many candidates and criteria.
Couple of points for when you’re well rested: the black market in arms so generously funded by the US public would be most likely to end up with the likes of Wagner and the French rioters for example, rather than back in the hands of the US or its sock puppets.
Also, once again to repeat apologies, but the generous and deep pockets of the US public, otherwise known as taxes, is definitely emptied for this financial year’s military budget. An additional hurdle for the piglings sucking greedily on this teat is that the American public have taken a disliking to continuing this pattern of behaviour, especially where Ukraine is concerned. Niger might seem just a long step too far, in the queue where Taiwan was supposedly next.
So to repeat, both (public) money and weapons aren’t flowing freely to US targets. Unless the corrupt and short-sighted US elite would like to start paying for wars themselves, they’ll just have to continue trying to persuade the US public to keep emptying the treasury every year for the warmongers’ benefit.
Here is a Wonderful analysis of the coup in Niger by a retired Nigerian military officer!
BTW, the Nigerian Senate has shot down the president’s request for authorization of military intervention in Niger.

Before the Nigerian Senate refused the president permission to wage war on Niger, I gave my reasons why I think that an intervention by Nigeria in Niger would not fly.
I am reposting here:
Why I think that Nigeria will not intervene in Niger.
First, Nigeria hasn’t gotten the money to squander on stupid military misadventures. It is virtually a bankrupt nation, ran aground by the insatiable greed of its otiose political elites. Long suffering Nigerian workers are slated to embark on a nation-wide strike as we speak.
Even if Tinubu were to magically conjure up the money, how will he sell his intervention to a very angry and restless Nigerians? How will he justify expending humongous money to send troops to go an rescue a French puppet in Niamey? Let’s not forget that the legitimacy of his presidency is yet to be determined by the tribunal. A leader whose election is being hotly contested is hardly one to give preachments on the sanctity of democracy!
Second, and more importantly, any stupid mistake will engulf the whole West Africa in uncontrollable firestorms! Anyone who lives in West Africa will be aware that the region sits on a tinderbox!
Third, any intervention will not carry popular support; the politicians have hugely disappointed the people. No dividend has redounded to the masses from their huge investment in democracy!
Fourth, Per International law, the only authority to authorize a military intervention is the United Nations Security Council. How will Tinubu and his fellow dreamers get a UNSC vote without Russia and China vetoing them to kingdom come? Or, will they allow themselves to be goaded by their curators in the West to compound their folly with more illegality?
Fifth, the very idea of military intervention in Niger has already shredded any notion of ECOWAS unity. Mali and Burkina Faso have declared their intention to join forces with Niger’s forces. Algeria is also reported to have threatened to step in on the side of Niger. Will Tinubu risk an African World War so early in his presidency?
Sixth, The Ethnic Factor: Like in almost all of Africa, European cartographers who shredded the continent in 1884 paid no heed to the national/ethnic composition of the societies they arbitrarily carved into the colonial garrisons that they called countries. The result is that many tribes have more loyalty to their tribal groups than to these colonial inventions called countries. In the case of Nigeria, the Hausas formed large segments of the population of both countries. It is difficult to imagine the Hausa in Nigeria to slaughtering their people in Niger on behalf of a French puppet.
ECOWAS Misleaders should have no doubt that the words of the junta leader in Burkina Faso, Ibrahim Traore,: “A slave that does not rebel does not deserve pity. The AU must stop condemning Africans who decide to fight against their own puppet regimes of the West.” resonates with the African masses.
Lastly, any intelligent African will know that only foreign arms merchants will reap any benefit from any confrontation.

Good exposition.
I do wonder how far the Muslim-Christian divide would be widened if US/France/UK/Germany sponsor a Nigerian invasion of Muslim nations in Mali, BF, Niger against Algerian wishes…….
Thank you Femi. Algeria stepping in on te side of Niger to kill some French boots after what the cultured French did in Algiers, confirm that Karma is a bitch and paybacks are hell.
An illuminating contribution. Thanks Femi.
Niger should play the Taiwanese card. In case of a invasion, blow the uranium mines….
Hi Femi, the link to Punch is broken. I couldnt find your reference on the site. thanks
“European cartographers… paid no heed to the national/ethnic composition of the societies they arbitrarily carved”
I’m not convinced that they “paid no heed” or “carved arbitrarily.”
I think it was deliberate. The “shotgun marriages” facilitates mutual finger-pointing hostilities, keeping the victims more easily managed…or manipulated.
It is so consistent around the world. Not just in africa, in every country they “helped” to bring “democracy.”
Deliberately wrong borders happened in USSR and Yugoslavia too, with same results.
Same done after WW1 leading to WW2…
How can anybody be running out of weapons?
They are showing up all over the world. This is a little extreme, but as far as the Zelensky regime goes, why doesn’t the United States raid the bank accounts of these neo-Nazis, confiscate their homes, their assets, their ill-gotten gains? Zelensky and his crew only get paid if they win. You win or you die — and die broke. If asset forfeiture was good enough for the Russians, it’s good enough for this merry band of neo-Nazis. Uniform, across the board, sanctions are the next step.
Of course, weaponizing Africa may be part of the plan. Send weapons to Zelensky. The cross-dressing, drug addicted, midget, neo-Nazi sees that they get to the democracy brigades in Africa.
Maybe the ultimate destination of the F-16s being sent to Syria is really Africa. I’m sure the United States has plenty of African-American mercenaries to pilot them.
Only chaos will tell.
Other then very simple old-school weapons like stingers, Western weapons are pretty unusable outside of the West (when you don’t have full Western support), and probably even have limited usability for West or west supported countries themselves, so I am not really sure that these weapons will make a big difference…
However, there are plenty of old soviet, RU and CHN weapons around that are very reliable, therefore if they want to fight, they will find the means for sure…
Trying to figure out what the issues are.

Thanks for that link. It explains why Cyril Ramaphosa preferred to keep his money in his sofa verses a SWIFT connected, Magnistsky Act sanctionable bank account or properties. Once you give the West leverage over you, by using their financial services or by purchasing their properties, you become a de facto Western puppet. (sigh)
Twice as many weapons as those used in Ukraine are stored in Kosovo and Albania before being sent to another theater of operations. Soon about 18 billion dollars of weapons will be available in Kosovo and Albania. For the Straussians, the coming defeat in the face of Russia will not be a big deal. Other wars can be fought against other enemies and keep the business going.
A new war is being prepared for after the defeat in the face of Russia
by Thierry Meyssan May 2022
https://www.voltairenet.org/article217016.html
There is trouble in Kosovo since, but
“The U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, therefore travelled to Morocco on May 11 2022 to chair a meeting of the Global Coalition against Daesh. 85 states participated at the level of their foreign ministers. Predictably, Ms. Nuland denounced the re-formation of Daesh, no longer in the Middle East, but in the Sahel. She invited all participants to join the US in fighting this enemy. However, as everyone had seen the massive Pentagon support for the jihadists in Iraq and Syria, all the diplomats present understood that the storm would soon break. Weapons were missing and the Pentagon did not want to be caught in the act of delivering them again to the jihadists. It will just have to get them from the Balkans, where they are still waiting for their end users in their crates.”
So, a full year stockpiling – written in 2022 :
“A war in the Sahel will not be a problem: it will spare the great powers and will only result in African victims. It will last as long as it is fed and no ally will allow itself to notice that this conflict only exists since they invaded and destroyed Libya. Everything can continue as before: for a part of humanity, the world will remain unipolar with Washington at its center.”
If that walking talking disease Nuland says that the Daesh psychotics are in the Sahel, rest assured that they are on .gov payroll.
I guess we get to see if being African-American military leadership gives one a leg-up over contemporary African military leadership. The imbalance of matériel might be the deciding factor, then again it might not. Not sure how to handicap this race.
“Not sure how to handicap this race.”
Mentally.
The issue is Lake Chad-Transaqua
https://lawrencefreemanafricaandtheworld.com/lake-chad-basin/
Niger is part of the Sahel, and Sahel is about a huge Africa Development called Transaqua which China is also involved in.
Colonialism means stopping Transaqua at any cost.
And Transaqua is about water and electricity, the 2 most important Sahel deficits.
There was a time when the USA thought BIG – FDR’s TVA Tennessee Valley Authority took the poorest region out of poverty.
China’s 3 Gorges Dam is directly based on TVA.
The Transaqua Sahel Program is pure TVA scaled up, and of course China is directly involved.
Instead of pragmatic baloney, meddling, realize Africa is HUGE, huge problems require MAJOR strategy.
I’m not so sure about an inter-countries war in West Africa.
I’m not so sure about civil war either.
Military juntas and religious militias flourished in Africa and were already fighting and doing coups for the last decades : they didn’t waited for the Banderist to send them the worst part of the worst western’s arsenals lend leased to them, nor for Wagner PMC to play the “Big bad wolf” partition in the region. (big bad Wagner is like “the hand of the magician” this days : behind every illusion).
Remember just a few month ago, the crisis in Sudan resurfaced and everyone was fearing a bloodbath , the “crossbows during summer” song etc … that yet didn’t came : now everyone is under the tents drinking tea with the Arabs monarchs trying to find an arrangement without disrupting business.
That leave us with Macron : he “failed to make himself a place in History” :p The only thing Marcon don’t fail are elections… with help.
There will not be a full scale war in Africa, although a skirmish or two is likely.
Wagner us on the ground in Niger….. a squad I understand
Nigeria right now is ripe for a coup too. You all remember the recent disaster where the Nigerian Government tried to force Nigerians out of cash and into a CBDC? Millions of Nigerians lost a fortune, to their pockets, via the attempt by the government to defraud Nigerians out of their life savings.
If there is a successful coup in Nigeria, you can count on the oil concessions being nationalized.
Just another diversion!!!!
The u s is provoking in Syria – and are hoping that by shamelessly drawing attention to their criminal enterprise that’s plundering Syrian wheat/oil – which they’ve been conducting in full view of the whole world with complete impunity – that they can forget ukraine for a few news cycles
Cue Goofy- “ ger hik- nuthin up my sleeve!”
If Niger “gets away” with this, then who is next in line to stuff a mud pie in Uncle Sam’s face?
Just read an article in the Counterpunch, Aug. 7, Engler & Engler: About A. Gramsci, the Italian writer about the society and how to change it. He do-esn’t recommend the coup d’ etat, as in Niger, but coalitions of people, to shape a new “heg-emony”.
My point is more what he thinks about the Russian revolution, 1917. They toppled the Russian rulers, Czars and Kerenskij, because that society hadn’t any civil society what could defend them, to compare with the Wes-tern societies, where the state is the first ditch, and then the rest of a civil society, schools, insti-tutions of all kinds, can’t be defeated that easy. They have a hegemony, in the capitalist
system, hard to move.
But I will compare Ukraine of 2014 with the Russian revolu-tion, think even Ukraine lacked a civil society, it was easy to violent overthrow the govern-ment as we saw, maybe West was aware of that weak point and used it, as Lenin and the Bolsheviks. But 1917,the ww1, was on, and Lenin promised Peace, Bread and Land, and strike the Brest-agreement 1918, with Germany, what Putin sees as a treason. OK.
He maybe see the Maidan as a “Bolshevik revolution” , he wants to nip in the bud, in the cradle, out from Russia’s exp-eriences, but Maidan wants to build a proto-fascist state, there are signs of that, and the lack of a civil society there is quite obv-ious, but they trying to create this, with ministers and the whole show, but any serious person give a damn…
Of course people in West, ob-serving this but they dismiss that, they deeply want maybe a Castro-Cuba, of their own, with Ukrainians in fielduni-forms, and a little own USSR, with a Polit-bureau, the old Soviet Union style, but why?
They were not allowed as
the working classes during the
1900s to support Stalin, and admire the Red army, 1945, the Sputnik, the Red machine, so they have a deep envy, and feelings they couldn’t express, before, if having a career, but now the moment is here, but it is too late, “been there – done that.”
But the war that Putin laun-ched, maybe shaping a Ukra-inian state, but that’s doubtful, only oligarcs, Commendantes, Freikorps-leader, and trauma-tized soldiers, can’t make that.
A Ukrainian anti-Russia, will not
be allowed, it seems.
Wagner PMCs are now located all across the countries of northern Africa. If weapons intended for Ukraine start showing up in these African countries we know why.
Now what Frenchie?
Imran Khan’s arrest, Pakistan, a nuclear power, friend of China, US, good customer of Russia, major instability.
This another issue, and right now boiling up. Weapons here are nuclear, well known Saudi rents them there. The Unipolar-istas are desperate.
As we know Hollywood likes to pre-announce and then play its hand, remember this during Obama’s Admin :

Hair-raising – literally a playbook! Otherwise a brilliant production.
Yup that is a given. I reckon I could write a long response with this reference and that reference, pointing out how these “Formally united Sates of America” have had a history since 1913 ( reference point only) of doing those those things that are harmful. Yup….I could go on and on and on. Bottom line: Empire is alive and well. Strip-mine the natural world for gold and power, whilst scorching the earth, and abusing the little people. Eric Blaire said it succinctly in his book, “a boot stomping on a human face forever.” BR…MNB!
Not to worry. Nuland to the rescue. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/8/7/us-urges-niger-coup-leaders-to-step-aside-in-direct-contact
Well, with Ukraine in the toilet it’s off to NIger. Dear God the United States has been sponsoring and instigating wars for 40 years now. There will be NO end to this aggression unless there is someone, some country or series of countries, to come forward and say enough is enough. Unfortunately most of the American people buy the lies and propaganda coming from Washington.
Well, there is the Algerian factor. They have stated that they will not allow intervention. They have African second largest army
My WWII vet father (Battle of Okinawa, Hacksaw Ridge) who’s nearing the century mark LOVES Michael Savage. Not only for his spot-on political and social commentary but how he delivers it (to quote my dad, “he’s so damn funny”).
When Savage has a new podcast I’ll play it for him, which I can do remotely through Amazon Alexa.
I haven’t listened to Savage since May of 2020 when I listened to him go on an insane rant about a “racist” cop that killed a guy who just happened to die of a drug od. Somehow Savage imputed racist motives into Chauvin’s actions even though that was not indicated. That was shortly before the end of Savage’s radio show.

Nuland is crawling around in Niger.
Incoming false flag.
One wonders if NATO’s rules of self-exoneration in Ukraine, could apply to Russia in Niger. Apparently, in Ukraine, NATO can provide the intelligence, coordinates, timing, and munitions to attack Russian positions, and as long as someone in a Ukrainian uniform-whatever their actual nationality or ultimate allegiance – is pushing the launch button, then Washington and London are entirely blameless in any destruction that is visited on the Russians in each exhaustively stage-managed attack.
Anytime now, the French and NATO powers, may end up in a completely parallel position, if Russia elects to “support“ Niger with the same way, with all of its military assets. The only difference is, now we know from the combat in Ukraine that Russian weapon systems are vastly superior to the MIC’s product line of graft-lavished second-rate munitions, so it wouldn’t be a fair fight.
As usual, the law of unintended consequences would turn out to be draconian for the selective champions of “sovereignty” in the west.
Mensch*? First time I’ve heard the term, but I would call him a prick with bad outdated views when he was at his prime those positions were still ugly.
