Impotence can make men do foolish things and evoke helpless rage. While erectile dysfunction can be resolved, at least temporarily, with the help of a little blue pill, there is no remedy for political impotence other than reality. One example of Western political flacidity is Europe’s decision to impose a new batch on sanctions on Russia, which include trying to muzzle RT. Strong nations that are prevailing in a conflict do not resort to such feckless, useless measures. These are the actions of weaklings.
Let me point you to a couple of articles that reflect the West’s growing frustration and rage. First up, the British Ministry of Defence. It appears they genuinely believe their own propaganda:
The British Ministry of Defence predicts a quiet winter is likely ahead for Ukraine. On its Twitter account, the agency revealed on December 12 that Russia would likely not make further moves in the coming months. And while the objective remains to overtake Donetsk Oblast, an attempt to do so probably won’t occur soon.
The UK Ministry of Defense noted in a December 13 tweet that Putin canceled his annual end-of-the-year press conference. The entity suggested that could have been because there may be a significant “anti-war feeling” in the motherland.
https://libertysons.org/new-intel-from-uk-suggests-a-defeated-vladimir-putin/?utm_placement=LBSnewsletter

The phrase, “British Intelligence,” should be entered in the Oxford English Dictionary as the exemplar of an oxymoron. Instead of doing real collection and analysis, the Brits (and their American cousins) are grasping at straws and guilty of projection. Growing political opposition to the Special Military Operation is not happening in Russia, but it is building momentum throughout Europe. Repeated claims by British military pundits that Russia is running out of missiles and ammunition is metaphorically destroyed every week when Russia launches a new, literal barrage of missiles on key Ukrainian infrastructure. The Russians are sitting shivering in the dark of electricity deprived apartments. That is the European fate. The Russians are not scrounging for cat food to feed themselves. That is happening in Britain.
Apparently, hopium is the new drug of choice imbibed by the West’s ruling class. Russia has taken Muhammed Ali’s Rope-a-Dope strategy and applied it to the killing fields of Ukraine. Putin’s plan is to let the West punch itself into exhaustion. The Special Military Operation has exposed the frailty and inadequacy of the logistics capability of America and NATO. While U.S. defense contractors like Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are raking in big bucks from new contracts, their ability to produce weapons, like the HIMMARS, in a timely fashion and in sufficient quantities is, as the Germans say, KAPUT!
The West’s desperation for victory is revealed in its frantic but feeble effort to push the meme that Putin is suffering from a grave illness and may be on his last legs:
Vladimir Putin has created renewed concern around his allegedly deteriorating health after the Russian leader abruptly pulled out of an annual ice hockey game this week, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Putin’s absence from the Night Hockey League, an amateur ice hockey league the Russian president himself created in 2011, marks just the latest high-profile event the 70-year-old struggling leader dropped out of at the last minute in recent weeks. . . .
While sources believe Putin has canceled these events as a result of growing health and security concerns, other critics believe the moves were made to avoid confrontation over the leader’s failing war efforts in Ukraine. . . .
Russian insiders have indicated Putin underwent emergency colon surgery over the weekend after an alleged fall in his Moscow home earlier this month, suggesting his absence from both the end-of-year press conference and annual hockey match was a result of the emergency procedure.
“Putin will have a simple surgical operation,” said one source regarding his alleged emergency procedure last week.
“The fall from the stairs last week, which resulted in a bruised tailbone, did not go unnoticed and caused new problems not directly related to the bruise,” the source added regarding the fall in which Putin “involuntarily defecated” himself as a result of the “cancer affecting his stomach and bowels.”
https://radaronline.com/p/vladimir-putin-pulls-out-annual-ice-hockey-game-health-concerns/
Let me suggest an alternative explanation. The news about Putin is being put out by Russian intelligence as part of a broader deception operation. Putin gave a speech on Thursday (December 15) and did not appear pallid nor fragile:
In his speech, Putin assessed the current situation in and around the country, and outlined the six main objectives of state policy in 2023, as well as guidelines for future years. At the very beginning of his speech, the head of state noted that the new solutions he proposed were designed to respond to the challenges facing the Russian economy and citizens today, and would allow the country to confidently develop. In particular, he touched on construction and housing, health and demographics, technological sovereignty, finance, the development of new regions of the Russian Federation and other issues. After the president’s speech the meeting continued.
https://tass.com/politics/1551131
This was not the speech of a sick, desperate, frightened man. At some point in the next weeks or months the West will be forced to concede that it cannot continue pouring billions into Ukraine without inflicting enormous damage on its own economies and people. At that point the memes of Russian weakness and defeat will crumble. NATO faces the real risk of being demilitarized. But it will not be the result of a frontal assault by Russia. Russia will continue doing what it is doing — i.e., pulverizing Western wonder weapons and bleeding the Ukrainian and foreign mercenaries with artillery and missiles.
That’s how bitches fight. They run their mouths and spread mean rumors. The West has devolved into a culture of silly spoiled bitches – “Karen” versus Russia and China.
We should have never given women the right to vote, let alone assume positions of power. They dragged the whole system down to their level, god bless ’em.
If that is so, what happened in the U.S.? Certainly Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris have no effect on military and economic policy towards Russia and China. It doesn’t matter who the messengers are, male or female, when the powers that be have lost their perspective on how things actually are.
Huh? The US military is controlled by civilians. The Generals are commissioned at Congress’/President’s pleasure. And the intelligence agencies, outside the DIA and NASA (military), are executive branch. It’s all up to Pelosi and the cucks she controls.
Pelosi is fully funded by some juicy male owned mega businesses. Yeah she owns the micimatt.
Ukraine was Obama and Biden, he’s. Just continuing that, Libya Obama, Iraq….
Let’s get real Eric. The weakest thing a man can do is blame women for their own weaknesses.
This is an unusually poor point from you. Unless it was intended as a joke.
Compare diplomatic addresses and exchanges pre-women’s rights and post. Once the women get in there the trend accelerates at Kamikaze speed to inane, cheap, shallow, petty and vapid, with a splash of hysterical here and there based on the lunar cycle – or something like that. Meanwhile, the non-woke countries seem to have calmer, more rational, more deeply thoughtful and expressive things to stay – or not say.
Don’t make excuses for Pelosi. Whoever she answers to allows her to manage the day to day affairs of the operation. Once upon a time, the way she snottily tore up Trump’s State of the Union Address would have necessarily led to pistols or swords at dawn, as it should be. Toxic masculinity has its value. Ensures that they at least have balls and honor.
But by all means, help me get my head on straight for me. Which women leaders of nations do you respect (not agree with necessarily, but respect) versus which men leaders of nations. Can be historical instead of current as long as you don’t call foul b/c women were shut out in the past. Which list was easier to come up with? Also, you think there are no gender differences in temperament, etc?
I only brought that up b/c I really do think it is a factor in what ails us.
Those weak men you list could only rise to power in such concentration as to be thoroughly dangerous to the republic in world that has to answer to women. In a man’s world there’d be far fewer of them, few enough that there would be a better balance of weasels and men. We used to have enough of that balance. Since the 1960s, we’ve lost it.
I took it more as lamenting the feminization as well as infantilation of the west.
The damage is not necessarily from women but men acting like them
If Pelosi owns the micimatt, then I assume her hubby hammer cost $1600.
Correction: The MIC controls at least Foreign Policy, and with the CIA *important* government decisions. The farcical elections are left to the rabble, ad agencies and MSM. The US has been a fascist oligarchy since 1913 when US monetary policy was handed over to the Big Boys. And don’t even start on the 1st Amendment: you’re allowed to say anything “permitted”, ie talk with no effect. Gather a crowd, and you’re shot.
Alex – right. A lament of what you said. We can’t survive, let alone compete, in a world of serious and capable men if our approach is feminized and infantilized. The silly stories that Larry highlighted in his post are indeed good examples of the phenomenon, in my opinion.
Some of the responses to my comment are too.
What I see is that western men who wish to enter into positions of power must adjust to increasingly feminized and infantilized modes of thought, expression and behavior to be acceptable. That is challenging for a real man to fake for more than a minute. Therefore, weak squishy men are selected in the first place.
These stupid narratives that people adhere to like catechisms in all-encompassing religions are killing us. Disagree that women and men are the same and interchangeable? Well, then you’re “disqualified”, which, I guess, means that your thoughts should not be considered at all. If you say 2+2=4 it’s not true because you’re a dangerous infidel narrative denier.
The U.S. military leadership has become little more than an apprenticeship for defense analysts and lobbyists.Politicians and the defense industry are running that show.
America has an everlasting habit of supporting the finest folks that blood money can buy.
Zelensky and company be forewarned. Nothing is as it seems forever.
1999:
A born politician, visionary, statesman, creator of the “bastion of democracy”, some of the epithets used by Madeleine Albright in her praise of Hashim Thaci, leader of the KLA in its battle to secede from Yugoslavia.

Bastion of Democracy or Bastard of Democracy?
Albright makes it sound as if Yugoslavia never had an election.
Oh, they did, you say. Except the Kosovar Albanians boycotted it, making it unrepresentative and illegitimate, you say. That’s your story?
Well then, what did that make Ukraine’s post-Maidan regime?
Damn, how many precedents can western charlatans claim are nothing more than ‘what-aboutism’ before imploding like a pricked balloon?
Are you insinuating Biden, Johnson and Zelensky are women?
In my experience women are usually those stopping not starting fights and they were not given the vote many died and suffered for it and today men are taking over their sports, identity and jobs and they are jailed for objecting, so yeah they have so much power.
This conflict is classic male monkey aggression. One baboon wants to dominate all and expand territory. Nothing new. Men and baboons remain at same evolutionary level.
Soon the big gorilla will realise it needs to share territory. It will then urinate on its borders and prepare for the next fight against a male challenger.
Men never evolve.

Yin and Yan with a tiny of each in both. It’s one complete system, but neither part is the same. Not supposed to be. Each has their sacred, but different, role. To pretend otherwise is to go against the way God created it – and that means you lose.
Those kinds of fundamental violations are what is, at bottom, bringing the west down. It’s right there in front of us, we just don’t want to see it b/c, in our insane hubris, we think we are The Creator. This has been warned about for as long back as there is human writing. Before that too, I’m sure.
Yes. One (of many) confirming curious examples: Ottoman’s Turkey. 🙂
Turkiye to you infidels.
Unfortunately, the women in charge of most positions of power and influence are as nauseatingly ignorant and arrogant as the men, if not more so.
Madeline Albright, Hillary Clinton, Samantha Power, Susan Rice, Nancy Pelosi, Victoria Nuland, Anne Applebaum, Nicky Haley — to point out just a few here in the US.
Women and men reared in a toxic society such as in the US, will turn out to be toxic people. Other examples are those coming from the tory party in the UK – toxic all, whether male or female.
The more I ‘enjoy’ the British experience, the more I’m convinced that Continental Europe once long ago became so ‘fond’ of them, that they all chipped in and dug the Dover Straights to be rid of them.
Agreed, look at Yerope and the number of giggling 30 yr old women who are the Ministers for War / Defence. Then look at their Chinese, Russian, N VietNam equivalents. I’d post a picture but dont know how to do it.
exactly. thx
“Men never evolve”
That is right. Mankind did not evolve. The evolution theory is full of holes. As for women in power look at Merkel, Ardin, women in power in Baltic states, Nordic states and women in high level government positions in Germany and other EU countries. They stroke their own egos, they are naive and stupid. They are only mouthpieces for the men in power. If you really think women are any better in power positions then I would love for you to share with us all who these great women are and what great things they are doing for us.
> In my experience women are usually those stopping not starting fights
Yes I’ve seen this too. Karen will yell staaaaaaaaaaaahp in public as if that does anything.
In fact you have it backwards. Men at are the forefront of trying to wake up the rest of America. And not just on Russia either. It’s the oversocialized cucks who are afraid of pissing off their friends, their wives, or HR, afraid to take any risks whatsoever that are the problem.
“In my experience women are usually those stopping not starting fights”
And in my experience I’ve seen women harpies hector their men into fights where were there only men present, throwing shapes and insults at each other would have been the end of it.
Instead, ” did you hear what he said? you’re not going to take that are you? what kind of man are you?” and the guys end up wrestling in broken glass on the dancefloor, blood everywhere.
Gentler sex, eh?
Of late here in Indias capital in Apartment Complexes over last two years I have seen & read about nearly 8 Resident welfare Associations the elected women start fighting physically. its almost like an epidemic. school girls beating each others, women lawyers beating each other in court premises. I have never seen or heard so many incidents happening in a city over so small period of time. Something seems to have changed of late.
Men never evolve,
…….and women never cease to emulate them.
Not true. Many men are evolving in the West. They’re just not sure what they’re evolving into, and neither are we.
And now, if on crew to waste some time in Twitterland, one finds any number of videos of females of pretty much all ages starting “beatdowns” and mass violence in schools, streets and lots of public places. Many seem to be instances of black women who use the n—-ah word almost as frequently as the F-bomb, but who mob any white, latinX or Asian who dares to culturally appropriate it. And Madeline Albright and H. Clinton and Rice and Pelosi, and so many others in so many nations, where do they fit into your analysis? What does female urine smell like, when it comes to marking territory? The lionesses among other species kind of rule the roost, and in the not so distant past, women ruled tribes and whole cultures. Humans of any sort can do anything humans can do, for good or ill.
Men and baboons remain at same evolutionary level. — Ash
I sometimes think this myself.
Well, my late father-in-law did say that if it weren’t for women, men would still be in trees flinging their shit at each other…
“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” 1 Timothy 2:12 KJB.
“Compare diplomatic addresses and exchanges pre-women’s rights and post. ”
You could equally say that before gay rights or trans men were more masculine. You provide no evidence. Had it occurred to you that a high percentage of men were always very weak, they just got democracy and nepotism and get into top positions now.
Note “nothing that comes from a woman can be superior to a woman”. You are not better than your mother or daughter and they are not weak and stupid.
25% of makes are paedophiles. Compared to less than 1% of women. 95% plus violent crime is male. Biological weapons created by men. Slavery men. Mass murderers men. Environmental destruction, men.
Women could equally argue male only curfew and aborting male foetuses would make the world better and that would also be logical.
You are not better or wiser or stronger than the mother who went through death’s door to have you Eric and gave up sleep rest and would give her life to save you probably while looking after elderly parents. There is no stronger or wiser person on the planet than good woman.

I always thought the invention of the title Ms. was better than sliced bread. After that brainchild, they lost me.
That’s acknowledged by all, Ash. But Feminism has spawned a beast. Not only have women today been led to believe that they are equal to men, but better. It is perfectly acceptable to regard men, especially white ones with contempt. Even at home. It is a case of pale, stale male. As a result of this doctrine Western society has become infantilised.
Well ash… Men did create civilization, the different system of society, Men create ground breaking technologies not just for destruction but for the better of human kind. In India the desire to have males led to lots of abortions of girl children few decades back. The govt made sex determination during pregnancy a crime with 3 year imprisonment.
However over the last decades a strange thing has happened. people call abortions of female fetuses female infanticide and abortion of male fetuses is normalised!!!
how can anyone get into a tizzy calling infanticide the abortion of one sex but abortion of the other sex is par for the course.
Apparently morality depends on sex it seems.

Eric,
You are way off topic in this. However, it’s interesting that you’re showing your true color. A misogynist SOB 🙂 what have women done to hurt your manhood?
Misogynist? You missed out nazi, islamaphobe, facist, racist and finally too stupid to vote.
That’s what all the lefties use to close down discussion. Fixed it forya
Go simp somewhere else
What have men done to hurt women’s sense of self-worth? That’s what I can’t figure out.
Being too short and not making enough money
Wow, pinning things now on voting rights of women and their abilities to lead. You just disqualified yourself in front of everybody.
Newhill: really?watch a video of Maria Zakarova then consider your sexist dismissive remark.
Looking at the German female politicians you’ve got a point there. Here just a few of the worst:
Angela Merkel
Ursula von der Leyen
Annalena Baerbock
Nancy Faeser
Their main problem is the typical female problem of accepting other opinions or own mistakes .
Turns out that Merkel was a useless appeaser. Worse than useless in fact. She launched a thousand ships due to her deceptive appeasements.
This discussion —though quite entertaining and illuminating— is way off topic. But since the subject of women in the mainly Western power structure attracts so much fury (deservedly, I think, but for its betrayal of implicit promises not gender questions) I would offer that we are dealing here with just one more case of divide & rule, via manufactured deviations from the main pivot of history today and almost always since sedentarism arose, that is class/hierarcy structures.
Decades ago the Frankfurt School Marxist revisionists (a bunch of sneakily CIA co-opted apostates) launched the first postwar salvo against old-fashioned class struggle analysis. Their categories of oppression and the oppressed (women, all-nonwhites, gays of every stripe, and so on) aimed to dethrone regular class analysis with its emphasis on the oppression of workers—the proletariat—by the owning class (the capitalists). Their proposal was in essence a bourgeoisification of the goals of revolution, and above all, the method of revolution, which depends on keeping the masses united and with their eyes on the struggle to get rid of the tiny (in the US no more than 0.001%) minority owning and controlling just about everything—from the totality of the major means of production, to the media, academia, the courts, the front men (political class and their fraudulent duopoly), the think tank crowd, pop culture in general, and of course the military and its specialised appendices such as the CIA, and the rest of the intel soup. (Yea, by definition, all ruling classes are at their core totalitarian).
This allowed the ruling orders to push aside the truly threatening class struggle issuing from the incurable contradictions and problems of capitalism—i.e., the old crisis of “overproduction” (look it up)—through the normalisation of “identity politics” and its deranged offshoot these days, WOKE capitalism. Given their historical role as the “good cop” (I feel-your pain) liberaloid image in the duopoly, the Democrats were chosen as the instrument to push this fraudulence. They are also today’s “war party”.
It was and remains a brilliant trick. It fragmented the masses seeking serious social change into scores of groups vying for priority relief from the power structure. It also, as noted earlier, deradicalise their demands. That’s why all the examples of women you see in this thread—from the often ridiculous EU leaders in Germany, Scandinavia, Britain, and so on to the malignant harpies in the US—Samantha Power, KIllary, Susan and Condi Rice, Haley, etc—are basicaly women completely integrated into the male-led global capitalist/imperialist system. Their sex means little, except perhaps as an accelerant to their vile actions, since they need to show they can “outperform” the males in the crowd.
In sum, anyone who serves the system must embrace its values and goals, and demonstrate allegiance to the global ruling class agenda as set (currently) by the US elite. Since the US ruling class DNA, along with that of its vassals, is capitalist / imperialist 100%, it is the priorities as seen by this class struture that these women must observe. When they fail, they fail not so much because of their sex, which undoubtedly colors teir behaviour, but because, reflecting the state of the system, they are basically mediocrities (as their male counterparts), and they are operating in a decomposing system pursuing goals that are no longer even remotey feasible.
I understand that you may be joking…
That said, I think there are some decent women but they are kept far away from power.
We get the vicious ones, like Hillary Clinton, Victoria Nuland, Madeline Albright.
The weak ambitious ones quickly conform to what side their bread is buttered on. But that’s true of most of the men in this country or perhaps all of the WEST.
Joe Biden has been a lifelong power climbing toady.
And he was pushed to the top of the dung heap.
A decent one in our lifetimes was Paul Wellstone – the one killed in a plane crash who also had a bomb go off along the highway that he was walking along when he visited Columbia but he was lucky to have missed.
At the risk of being called names, I’d agree. Look at Clinton, Merckel, Von der Leyen, Baerback, Liz Truss and Co. go. How aggressive they are! They act as if they have scores to settle with the rest of the world. They drove their countries into the wall – N’est-ce pas Mrs. Merckel? And “men”, like Macron, Scholtz and their likes, boneless spineless creatures that act like meek women for fear of being called “men” and trying to appease the female element. Repulsive! May God protect a world where women are tougher than men.
There are no more men left in position of power in Europe. They’ve been replaced with LGBTQ++.
No wonder why everything is going to sh*t.
Eric, as Ford once said, ” he took misfortune like a man, he blamed it on his wife.” Isn’t it a cheap shit to start finger pointing and burkas distribution?
Most normal professional women like myself are disgusted with Pelosi, and a flock of female leaders in EU whose behavior discredits the rest of us because they were “promoted” and moved up just like the dirty “male” foam has risen to the surface for centuries – there were no females starting WWI and WWII , as I recall.
> > > there were no females starting WWI and WWII , as I recall.
Perhaps not, but there were plenty of women who distributed white feathers to young men smart enough to (attempt to) refuse to participate.
They were generally post-menopausal, bitter old harridans.
As to whether women getting the vote has led to better or worse outcomes: ask yourself if the Karenocracy would feel as empowered in an alternative timeline.
Women are more doxastic than men, because female IQ has lower variance and so there are fewer women in the distribution as outright IQ increases (and the same is true as IQ decreases: there are fewer out-and-out imbeciles who are female).
Only very-smart men and women are cognitively capable of being trained so as to have an epistemic worldview… and there are simply fewer very-smart women.
To get a handle on the critical level of cognitive capability in key domains, I suggest you examine the OECD’s PIAAC – the Program for International Assessment of Adult Competencies. It’s a large-scale study, and the median adult has literacy and numeracy that I would associate with a dim grade 9 student.
I’m an unabashed cognitive elitist, and I genuinely try to restrict my worldview to be as fact-based as possible – and as quantiatively-based as possible. Based on that – and that alone – I would deny the vote to anyone who has an IQ less than 2 standard deviations above the median… where the σ used for the calculation is obtained from the male distribution.
The upside of that – for people who don’t make the cutoff – is that those people should not be subject to taxation, since to tax people who have no say in their political leaders is a moral wrong.
As it stands, they’re mostly not subject to NET taxation, so what would change is that their ‘gibs’ would fall. They would pay the full cost of the in-kind services that they get from government.
All net taxes are paid by high-income private sector workers, who tend to be cognitively well-endowed. It’s not true for highly-paid government employees though. In fact for all people paid by government, every single cent of their take-home pay is other people’s taxes (or debt, which must be paid from future taxes).
If you would like a full quantitative breakdown – using Australian data – I will give you links direct to the distribution (at the household level) of the ‘net tax’ status of households by income decile.
It is only the top two deciles who pay more in tax than they receive in ‘gibs’ – and that’s before discussing that HALF of the top two deciles are either directly paid by government, or have government-enforced barriers to entry to raise remuneration in the sector (e.g., doctors; dentists; accountants; lawyers). Those barriers to entry should be eliminated as well: they are ‘no ticket no start’ unionisation, tarted up as ‘quality control’.
IQ tests may do many things, but one thing they cannot measure is intelligence, or at least no more than a very narrow, inadequate aspect of it.
> > > there were no females starting WWI and WWII , as I recall.
They’re well on their way to starting WWIII though, so parity is in the wind. Now you can give yourself a slap on the back, Shiva.
Mmm. I hope I’m detecting a ‘/s’ here… otherwise I might have to ask Maria Zakharova to pop round and, err, re-educate you!
QK
Yeah …yeah….whatever…. there are always exceptions. It’s the trends that count in life. You might win at the dice table, but over time, the house will take your money. Pareto 80/20 and all that.
Maria Zakharova is obviously competent, and she obviously obtained her position in a larger system that respects such competence as opposed to one that has quotas and a belief that women are just somehow superior and should dictate all thought and behavior modes.
So much desperate religious adherence to a narrative leads to so much bad thinking.
The is a variant of the midwit’s dilemma – getting the conditionality of a conditional-probability statement exactly backwards.
A very large proportion of the human livestock in a modern economy “cannot into” conditional probability, and are really bad at conditional hypotheticals generally.
The existence of a very rare, very-smart woman does not refute the problem that very-smart women are considerably rarer than very-smart men. That reality is just an outcome of large-N distributions – women test higher than men at the mean, but the gap is not statistically significant.
If I assert that “most female mathematicians are left-handed”, that is not disproved by naming a right-handed female mathematician.
For those playing at home: the phrase “most female mathematicians are left-handed” has an embedded statement about conditional probability.
Namely: that in a sufficiently large sample,
Pr(A|L) > Pr(A|R)
where
▪️ A is ‘female mathematician’ and
▪️ ’L’ and ‘R’ are left- and right-handedness respectively.
“Most female mathematicians are left-handed” is not an assertion that there are ZERO right-handed female mathematicians.
Likewise: saying that
‘very smart women are much rarer than very smart men’
… does not imply either
▪️ every man is smarter than every woman; or
▪️ there are zero smart women.
What a fancy way of saying something totally obvious. Congrats.
There is a group of obnoxious middle aged and older women out there who will not rest because they believe they can fix things. I’m talking about Victoria Nuland, Wendy Sherman, Ursula, Hillary, Kamala, Nancy and my personal favorite (because I’m Canadian) Chrystia Freeland… And let’s not forget some from the other side like Nikki Hailey & Liz Cheney (I’m kidding about the other side) Let’s call them what they are… Deplorable Undesirables
Victoria Nuland may very well go down in history (assuming there is one), as a corpulent Shiva, the Destroyer of Worlds.
Someone should do a deep dive and write a book on the influence of feminist women on power politics. Frankly, I can no longer tell the difference between men and women politicians. They have molded into one toxic alien species.
I understand if you don’t like women: you have that right. But, you don’t have the right to compare all women with your family.
Eric Newhill : I understand if you don’t like women: you have that right. But, you don’t have the right to compare all women with your family.
I like women a lot. That’s why I don’t want them twisting their beautiful nature and gifts to act like men.
Grow up and stop being so overly sensitive and irrational if you want to converse with men. Your comment – and some others – is perfect proof in support of my original. Exactly what I’m talking about.
The feminist movement is not feminist at all. It seeks to destroy the nurturing and softness of the female side of the species. It wants to replace that with the hard edge necessary to compete in the marketplace + all of the stress. It instills a drive for raw political power, which isn’t good for anyone’s soul. Feminists are tools of extreme atheistic consumer capitalism in which human beings are all just meat robots to be programmed and used by Wall Street marketing and big government. You’re a fool of the first order.
You may dislike women who conform to a stereotype of the aggressive harpy. That is your right and in fact I agree with you that women like that are obnoxious. However, your stridency and unnecessary obnoxiousness is perpetuating another, equally ugly, stereotype – the know-it-all, hyper-aggressive man. This is an equally unpleasant phenomenon. Just saying’.
Poor widdle boy seems to have mommie issues.
And then you give it a grandiose name like “4th generation Warfare”.
But it’s still just fighting like little bitches.
A very exact observation. Fishwives fighting technique: destroy opponent’s reputation – drag their name in the mud.
How art thou fallen, O Britannia!
Haha : )
As my friend Jim Kunstler put it in today’s essay on his ClusterFuck Nation:
“As the Yule log burns down, and the trivialities of the season melt into air, the nation might ask itself how the authorities who run things went to war against the citizens of this land. I will tell you, and, it will probably make you angry: It started when the women of the professional and managerial class watched their avatar, Hillary Clinton, lose the 2016 election against a man who seemed the quintessence of everything they hated about Daddydom.
“Donald Trump, flawed to perfection, wrecked the chance of the amalgamated successful women of America to run the national household. Out came the pussy-hats, the shrieking Wiccans, and the celebrities threatening to “blow up the White House.” Out came a savage animus against men generally, and a campaign to feminize them in retaliation — and then punish them for objecting to it. Up rose a social movement, Wokery, that had the earmarks of a histrionic religious mania, with Satanic overtones. Up rose the demons, the Antifa louts, the BLM arsonists, the drag queens”.
I’m a woman and from my observations; feminism has failed. I won’t say more about the women ‘leaders’ in Western Civ – lest I ramble with run-on expletives.
German Interior Minister says it’s time to root out all enemies of the state;

As this global conflict continues to escalate,we‘ll see more and more of this type of hysteria. The War Party has no off-ramp so they double down on what they know.
When the allies divided up Germany after WWII, they removed the spine of this nation and it affected the brain function of the medulla. The culture that grew up around this formation learned how to take orders instead of giving them, therefore depriving themselves of the ability to think things through and determine their own best self interests. Hence, the game plan of the neocons!
As a German I must say that you are flat wrong. It was since 1848, after the revolution that failed, and the following years with the German empire, that made the Germans taking orders instead of thinking for themselves. The allies were just happy to have it easy.
I was being rather tongue-in-cheek in my post, but good to know that this started so long ago. But Germany was not really Germany back then, so I’m not sure how much truth there is in anything you and I are saying. lol.
I am indeed surprised at how lost the German leaders seem to be at present. Most of my German friends are comfortable with the government and their leaders. Of course, all of them have cushy jobs, savings, and love to travel the globe without a care in the world. Very similar to the Americans that I know.
Thanks for the reply.
The time after 1848 is called: Biedermeyer Zeit (Biedermeyer period).
There are many books about that time, thou the time was relatively boring, if seen out of a German perspective.
And I am surprised, too, that lots of people in Germany are thinking that the government knows what it does and is allway honest. People tell themselves: The politians have given an oath to prevent harm to come to the people of Germany. And so they will act.
That there may be politians that simply do not care (and are uninformed) or are corrupt, does not come to mind. We call it “schön reden”: Sugercoating.
I meet once a month with my colleges and friends of my youth, from 35 years ago, and they are all not interested in what is going on around them. They believe the media, cause the media is only telling thuths and so on. No questions asked. A little like in the Biedermeyer time.
And I also travel a lot and made the same observation as you did. Good that I do not travel were the masses go. Were I go, I find real life and real personalities. To my surprise I often meet famous and or rich people from all around the world, that are also interested in the life that is lived in other countries (and to be treated as a normal person) instead of being at the beach. Sadly there are not many Americans among them.
Are they going to set Reichstag on fire anytime soon?
Oh no! There is no need: the people are already reduced to a flock of sheep, they’ll go along with whatever the “elite” decide.
What does he suggest when the state becomes its own enemy though?
What does the German Interior Minsister suggest when the state becomes its own enemy though?
Larry,
(The Russians are not scrounging for cat food to feed themselves.)
My parents lived through WWII in Western Europe and they mentioned roof-rabbit was considered a delicacy during the time. In English it translates to cat. Mice might have played to role of “starters”.
When a 70-year-old decides against joining an ice hockey game with 40-year-olds, that’s a sign of wisdom, not weakness.
Or Perhaps Putin thought that in the middle of the next phase of the war, and on the brink of WW3, it better if he lead the nation by focusing on real life and death matters. Also a sign of wisdom.
But no one has accused British leaders of wisdom in a long time.

mr. johnson- this came up while listening to another podcast. Gonzalo lira on his podcast sometimes indicates that certain powerful elements belonging to this branch of this ethnic group really have it in for russia based on events that happened before ww1.
Please review it before posting it as i do not want to cause any trouble on your forum.

Your comment misrepresents your link which is not Mr. Lira’s podcast, but a stereotypical anti-Zionist essay containing a combination of valid observations and extreme rhetoric from certain rabbis & Zionist advocates. You are welcome to make the argument, but not to misdirect readers.
the article i posted was not from mr. gonzalos podcast; it was another i came across. i apologize if this created any misconceptions.
On several podcasts where mr. lira was the host or the guest he has discussed the effects and why the generational hatred of russians by some powerful individuals . the latest is below. the discussion begins at the 2 hour and 20 minute mark when the panel is asked about the question of how ancestral hatred of russians plays into the ukraine conflict.

I think Putin postponed his annual conference – not canceled, mind, just postponed, because something military and major is about to happen/ in the works, and Putin didn’t want to say something he is not yet ready to say and he didn’t want to lie, since in such conferences Putin is usually pretty frank and conferences are going on for hours.
Smart comment, nice moves, you’re all over it matey.
Let’s leave the Skanky Cougars out of it.

Mr. johnson- these are totally off topic; am sending as i find them interesting and very pertinent . i believe our enemies are not russia or china; but are from within as per the below.
i listened to this podcast when it came out 21 months ago and from the data accumulated over the last 2 years it looks like everything mr. bigtree and mr. bossche talked about is coming true.

There is a risk here of drifting into overt nonsense. Yes, Pelosi is showing signs of geriatric irrelevantcy, but so is Biden. BoJo talks biased silliness, but so does Von der Leyen. Zelensky and Freeland? Macron and Marin? The equal opportunity list goes on. The collective West has lost its Mojo, and the responsibility for that is also collective. Neither gender nor ethnicity features in any meaningful way.
The gender thread and accompanying trolls is above I think. Maybe transplanted from Zero hedge. Hard to avoid without tough moderation as this blog grows in popularity.
A 70 year old man can’t take the ice this week and this is taken as a sure sign his physical condition is crumbling. I thought it was theoretically impossible, but The Narrative continues to get dummer.
How stupid can it get? I don’t know. You would think there has to be a stupidity ceiling, so to speak, but by all appearances, we don’t appear to be anywhere near it yet.
Here is Vladimir Putin by the way, showing off his skills at the age of 67. It seems the Russian President might be a bit of puck hog (at least based on this limited sample size :–), which is absolutely not in keeping with the tradition of the glorious Soviet hockey teams of the past, and their undying devotion to a tiki taka sharing of the rubber at all times,* but he does roof a backhand from in tight, which I admit, was impressive.

“Although questions are almost certainly usually vetted in advance … ”
I’m not sure what “almost certainly usually” means exactly, but I think the implication is, the questions are definitely possibly vetted, and shockingly, this vetting process is maybe done, in advance!
Imagine that, vetting something in advance.
No matter what you might think of the man, if you have a YouTube feed, in a matter of one minute you can find out for youself, that through the years, the current President of the Russian Federation has been more that willing to take on any and all questions in whatever form or direction on the planet they come from.
The evidence is voluminious, the man veritably thrives in unvetted question and answer situations.
What a clusterf*ck clownshow the Western world has become. Why Russia ever wanted to be a part of it is beyond me.
But the call of the neo-liberal is powerful (pleonexia!), and once you are gripped by it, it is hard to let go. Here’s to hoping the President of the Russian Federation, has finally let it go.
*I used to watch those CCCP teams as kid and think, “These red commie bastards would rather pass than score! They clearly are not only willing to share the puck, but desperately want to, and the result is creating the most beautiful hockey ever played.”
“So why is it again, I am required to root against such artistry with the passion of thousand suns?”
I remember as a kid in Canada they stopped class and had us all in the gym watching the 1972 series. I didn’t really catch on until later how warped the reporting of that series was. Our squad looked like the guys from Slapshot and we basically had to beat them up to “win” the series, including Bobby Clark slashing and breaking their top player’s ankle. Nevertheless, I was programmed to believe it was a miraculous victory for Canada. It makes me realize how effective indoctrination is on young people.
Buffalo lad here, so, due to growing up in a hockey environment, proximity, and my Dad having been born in Canada, I always considered myself to be a one-fifth Canadian nationalist!
I was 12 when the ’72 series went off, and I remember my Dad and my Uncle arguing as the series progressed. My Dad’s point was that Team Canada wasn’t in shape, that’s why they were struggling, and my Uncle firing back, “Jack, if the refs were square the Russians would crush this team, in season, out-of-season, anywhere, anytime.”
Watching the series unfold, it was then that I started to develope one of the first of my many conspiracy theories, that there was such a thing as the Canadian mafia.
Dude, if you stayed a Sabres fan through that, my hat is off.
One day we will make the playoffs again!
No around town believes this of course. I tell everyone, hey, think on the bright side, it is good to be long suffering, it builds character, and the usual reply is along the lines of, “Well then, we must have a lot of f*cking character.”
That can not be true, right? no way the West with it technological advance and glorious economy can not outlast the gasoline station posing as a country, right? No ay, the whole west industrial output can not outproduce that wretched land named Russia, right? i mean US tank and MLRS can easily pulverize the Russian counterpart, this we can see from US newspapers, no way they will lie to us about Us military supremacy, right? Hell the ISS is a US construct and without USA, the Ruskie can not maintain that station alone, right? oh and Ukraine is on the way to kick Russian asses out of their country, the Ruskie is losing up to 1000 man a day, right? jk, there are many people who think like this…. truth to be told I wish to have some of that hopium for myself.
At this stage of the conflict, the only event that would dramatically change its fate would be the sudden death or incapacitation of Putin.
In my opinion, the “UK’ intelligence” has the – somewhat childish – purpose of provoking Putin’ appearance in public, thus exposing him to an attack that the Russian secret services probably have find of.
But Putin is too smart to fall into such trap. Hence, he’s canceled all public appearances.
i think its more to do with the flu epidemic especially the swine flu and bird flu being reported around the world. both Russia and China are a bit paranoid about biological warfare.
[B]oth Russia and China are a bit paranoid about biological warfare. — masr
For good reason… it’s not really paranoia if they are really out to get you.
“there is no remedy for political impotence other than reality”
Yes there is. It’s turning on your own dependents. Kicking the dog. Beating your spouse and/or kids. Attacking your own citizens who dare to speak up.
That’s what bullies do. That’s what is to come here in the US.
We saw glimpses of it on Jan 6. I fear we ain’t seen nothing yet.
Yes, the cultivated dehumanization will be turned upon us here in the Former United States of America. Diversity is not our strength, and that’s why it is being thrust upon us at breakneck speed. Don’t know if y’all have noticed, but the Othering that always precedes a genocide of both cultures and peoples is well under way. The Great Replacement is real.
Packing the military or the security forces with aliens to our culture, traditions, and mores is moving right along. All part of the plan, along with constant denigration of all three of those aforementioned.
Spiteful mutants are everywhere in positions of power. Bad moon rising.
We might be encouraged by the news out of Whitehall this morning. Rishi Sunak has called for an ‘assessment’ of the situation in Ukraine. Maybe he has come to realise that he is surrounded by a pack of delusional, diversified and inclusive ‘yes-people’. Some accuse him of back-pedalling but perhaps common sense may be given a chance. We can hope.
I believe you omitted a “not”.
I don’t know what to believe. The Fog of War runs deep on this one. The deepest ever? I don’t know. And part of me no longer cares. In 2023 I am going to back off these sites, turn the computer off, and live my life. And, for as much as possible, do my own thing. My resolution. If the truth was so important you would just say it. Wouldn’t you?
Are we in a war? Yes. Most definitely. The US has done nothing but encroach ever further and ever farther upon Russia’s borders, the way one would surround an enemy, when they said they wouldn’t. The US lied. The US always lie, hence “The Empire of Lies.” And now there is no coming back from the lies. Nobody can trust the United States. If the US can treat Russia like this, then the whole world is next. And God help us all if the United States succeeds, conquers Russia and China, and all its enemies. Total World Domination is a fate worse than death.
You don’t blow up $20 billion in critical civilian infrastructure, desperately needed by your allies, and then not take responsibility for it. The destruction of Nord Stream 1 and (most of) 2 was both an act of terror and an act of war.
Essentially, somebody, just declared war on Germany. But who cares? Germany has no friends. We know that. You don’t come back from some things. Sexy uniforms, fashion excellence, cool U-boats and tanks, the “Wunderwaffen,” Nazi secret gold. Doesn’t matter. You were still a bunch of Nazis. Once a Nazi always a Nazi. Some things you don’t come back from. But neither does the rest of Europe. “Fuck the EU.”
Sanctions are an act of war. Confiscation of private property by one nation of another nation is an act of war. If you are a nation and you no longer have security in your persons, property or possessions then how close are you from a concentration camp? A proxy war is an act of war. “Rules for thee but none for me,” is an act of war. Regime change is an act of war. And on and on. Thuggery in any form or fashion, by anyone, is still thuggery.
Putin asked then President Bill Clinton if Russia could join NATO. Clinton said “No.” Why? Because a global hegemon needs its enemy.
The truth is you cannot have a country based upon endless war and endless warmongering. The people go insane. Same thing with how you cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet. You end up running out of everything. Same thing.
Since 1945, the United States basically picked-up where Germany left off, treating Russia and the Russian people as sub-humans, undeserving of sovereignty, inalienable rights, but primarily all those huge and vast resources of natural gas, oil, coal, minerals and rare earths which Russia has in “shameful abundance.” Resources the entire West is running out of, and desperately needs to survive.
An advanced, first world economy either has a plentiful supply of cheap energy or it collapses. That is where the US is and has been since 1975. You can only live this way for so long. That hockey puck moment. That tipping point. The west has to do something. Something soon. Time is running out. The west somehow has to get “moar.”
Something is going to happen. When? We will never know. With our famously free press here in the west we may never find out anything, one way or another. Same thing with the “what?” Same thing for the “when.” For all we know something has already happened. Chernobyl? Fukushima? Maybe all those years and decades of unrestricted testing of nuclear warheads. Maybe the years of shitting where we eat has finally caught up with us. Maybe the pandemic was just a cover story. The west lives for lording it over the truth.
These are just the simple truths. And even in this I could be wrong. And quite frankly, I don’t give a shit anymore. Tired of giving the same old answers to the same old questions. It’s getting old, man.
” … you cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet.”
Indeed, and this Fundamental Law of Reality is even more troubling when considers our collective growth is not only infinite it has become of late,* exponential, and the planet in question that is being drained at lightening speed, is unfortunately, a rather small one in the grander scheme.
Epic comment, thanks for it.
*Of late, as in, dozens of exponential curves related to human survival begin roughly around the time of the discovery of oil in Pennsylvania, in 1859. I do not think this is coincidence.
Here’s the thing: the growth anomalies begin as coal comes onto the scene about 200 years back, followed by oil, then fertilizer. If we’re going for degrowth (visit Cuba for a test drive) then all the shenanigans of the Davos crowd (borrowing from Luongo there) make sense. Preemptive Malthusianism to keep “the right people” in control seems to be the playbook.
I don’t believe in forced dichotomous views but in a nutshell, what’s the alternative to voluntary Malthusianism? Waiting for it to come about naturally? Certainly you can’t believe the vector is toward clean abundant fusion. Can you imagine the damage humans would do if there was unlimited energy?
The whole problem with sustainability is that it goes against our instincts and the prisoner’s dilemma rewards the most unsustainable practice with productivity.
“Can you imagine the damage humans would do if there was unlimited energy?”
Damage? With such technologies, we could spread freedom and democracy to the stars!
re: “Preemptive Malthusianism” and “shenanigans”
There does seem to be bit of both going on at the moment.
“I don’t believe in forced dichotomies … ”
Speaking of which, I for one believe that if humans want to maintain an indefinite presence in the universe, they must have global governance (Star Trek style?), yet I’ve spent most of my 15 years on the internet demanding that all nation-states give up the neo-liberal nonsense, and retake their sovereignty now!
Before it’s too late!
And yes, even if it requires them to engage in an existential proxie war to the death in order to do it, it must be done.
its not the growth of humans thats the problem . Human population growth ebbs and rises. Right now in many countries its getting negative growth. which is ok.
The problem is the economic system in most of the world only rewards growth it doesnt reward profitability.
The stock market and the incorporated entities were always tools of exploitation. they first appeared to spread the risk of colonial exploitation accross the rich elite of europe. Those who were not kings and rulers could get into the act of subduing other peoples while the king took a cut and provided the fall back power.
It continues to this day. Any system which is based on finding more growth to make it profitable to hold stock is bound to hit a wall. this happened long back thus came fictional investment and growth in form of derivatives.
its time for a reality check.
That was a fantastic comment! I was reading it while nodding enthusiastically. Thanks.
Arguing with entities that go to war in support of secessionists and fifteen years later go to war to negate other secessionists is like punching air. An exercise in futility.
Let God sort them out on the battlefield.
I have come to the conclusion that humans are an invasive species and a blight upon the planet, so Nature is now in the process of excising the infection. Unfortunately, most of the beautiful flora and fauna will have to die along with us. Another dinosaur, another evolutionary experiment gone awry. Human hubris made us think wrongly we control Nature. Nature may try to start over after the planet has dissipated and cleared all the pollution and deadly radiation humans created and spewed out. Just another very different paleolithic layer, or maybe the last. I don’t fret about it because all will be reintegrated into the cosmic stuff of the universe.

Oh man Larry just had to bring up ice hockey. Putin taking time off to watch Alexander Ovechkin dominate the NHL maybe. Hard to believe Canada has not banned Ovechkin. Can you imagine the national butthurt if this guy ever overtakes the great Gretzky in goal scoring? Would that make a Russian the greatest hockey player ever? Heads will explode in Canada. If one is old enough to remember the great 1972 Summit Series between Canada and the USSR you really witnessed a true clash of ideals. How about the Lake Placid Olympics when the USA beat the USSR in 1980? The Miracle on Ice it was deemed. Seems the west is hoping for another miracle of sorts.
In fact, we should admit that part of the success of North American teams is due the unvaluable art of Russian emigree trainers and their mastery technics….
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZcUcw7rDuw
The Red Army hockey team was all business and training off season was something new to North American hockey. Hated those commie bastards but damn they changed the game forever.
Ovie is very popular in canada and if he overtakes gretzky in 150 more games ( 2 nhl seasons) from know at the rate he is scoring and if he stays healthy he will be cheered in canada. Ovie conducts himself in a way that does not offend hockey fans. there are over 50 russian players playing in the league and unless their is an overt war i think they will be left alone.
In overall terms gretzky is the best hockey player of all time and everyone knows it. the antiwar fever against russia in canada has died down to a large extent as most people have other things to worry about like being able to aford rent and food.

I report that: “On Friday, throughout the day, the President worked at the joint headquarters of the armed forces involved in the special military operation
The head of state got acquainted with the work of the headquarters, heard a report on the progress of the SMO, and also held a conference and separate meetings with the commanders.”
https://t.me/intelslava/42596
The physical aspect of Putin looks very good. Also, a meeting lasting one whole day with the top military echelons, including general “Armageddon” who looks just on the right of Putin, might signal that something big is on the making. Or it is just disinformation…
You’re right, impotent frustration is written all over the Western actions and statements about Russia and its leader. If ordinary people are not so gullible some of the things that the West is publishing about Russia and its president should be treated as beneath notice.
Even as the mediocre British Ministry of Defence is talking about a pause in the operation on the front, the British international propaganda bullhorn, BBC, is carrying a headline of the Kiev puppet, Zelensky, crying about Russia’s readiness to launch more “heavy strikes”.
The confusion and the frustration of the collective West cannot no longer be hidden.
First of all the Question&Answers yearly event has not been suspended, but displaced to some date in the first month of the next year.
May be it is that slot of time the Russians deem necessary to end the war in Ukraine or at least secure what their territorial and military goals.
I can not see how a head of a nation submitted for already almost a year to a high intensity war against a military block like NATO could seat for as long as 4 hours to talk to their people.
There is a lot of extra work to do, related to analyse news from the front, state of affairs in enemy nations, especially in Europe, shape economy and military production to rearrange it for war times, and adjust developments goals to reduce former dependence of the West and turn foreign relations to the East and global south.
Regarding skating at 70, I left it at 50 after an excruciating complicated elbow fractrure which required not only having my elbow screwd but also a long recovery of 4 months….Even when not being a head of state but an average citizen, I decided I could not afford it, not to mention that such fractures´ recovery complicates as long as you age.
For the rest, falling through stairs enter in the possible anyone could suffer, especially Putin who usually walks very lively for his age.
Something that can be also very painful especially if you fall over your rib cage, eventhough not mediating fracture…Extremely painful to excruciating too….But nothing that could keep you from directing a country from your office.
A colon cancer could also enter into the possibilities at his age, but nothing that having been caught on time could avoid him developing his duties even for some a decade.
It is not a custom for Russian officials to abandon when ill or even deathly ill, the examples of Andropov and others come to mind. It is likely that Putin, with such character he has, would work to his very end too….
Thus, relying on all those inventions cuts your hopes short…sounds like they wish that man all those ills so that they could geto out of this with some dignity….Such mean people they are….
Where do we go with such evil and dumb people in charge?
My personal experience with Western impotence in trying to shut down opinions counter to the approved narrative: This spring I decided to purchase a “Z” shirt to show my support for the SMO. I went online to shop, found a website (I think it was in the merch section of English language RT), found the perfect shirt, but a red warning popped up saying I could not purchase the shirt – someone residing in the US, such as myself, was blocked from purchasing it! So very childish! I searched all over the internet and determined I literally could not buy a “Z” shirt online, although I had seen many photos of Russian citizens wearing such shirts. So I found a shop that custom-made T Shirts and had one made – a black t-shirt with a large white, blue, and red ‘Z’ on the front.
I met someone in Rome the other day with one, I asked him where he got it. The shop was out of my size.
I will say this again: the best anyone in USA/Canada/UK/EU can do is look for a way to move somewhere outside of the western world.
We are on a path of self-destruction where all the values have been turned upside down and politics is worse and of lower quality with each new generation. There is no man or woman today in USA that is of any “statesman” quality that will be allowed to unite the country because it is un-unitable.
Back in 2015 or so, I used to think collapse of western civilization is not going to happen for at least 30-40 years but now I am convinced that it will not be more than 5 years before people in USA are scavenging on a massive scale out of trash cans, raiding neighbor’s homes under threat of a gun etc. etc. – for food and basic necessities.
There is no way USA as a country can survive in its current form, I am convinced of it. I smell a violent split and it will make Bosnia look like a Hollywood romantic comedy because society in USA is super violent, mental illness is rampant, people are frustrated to the point of being at each other’s throats over nonsense on Facebook and everyone is armed to their teeth. If you can, you should get out, if not, start preparing and looking for like-minded friends and allies – communities of makers and do-ers who share the same predictions as you.
Maybe. I’ve been through this once around 2008 when I thought the End Was Nigh. Where are you going to go? I just got back from a trip that involved work in the barrios in Latin America -ouch. Lots of pros and cons when considering expat locations. I wish the answer were simple.
Prof. Michael Hudson’s last interview https://www.unz.com/mhudson/german-interview/ again elaborates on the theme that the collective West economically has turned into a ‘rentier’ system that thrives on ‘financial capitalism’, whereas the multilateral BRICS economies (China, Russia, India) are building up their economies on basis of sound ‘industrial capitalism’. Probably the best corroboration of the present difference between West and East is the way how war is being waged. The West has lost its industrial base and is running out of arms supplies at a ludicrous pace, whereas the Russian arms manufacturing industry has recently introduced a six day working week to step up its arms production. With all the bragging about a lend-lease program from the US to Ukraine the catastrophic failure to factually implement such an arms production program (as the US was still able during WWII) is becoming painfully apparent to the whole world. The unproductive ‘rentier’ West has become the laughingstock of the BRICS+ & OPEC+ countries. The only way the ‘rentier’ West knows to counter their being an emperor without clothes is hysterical rage. This reminds one of the fits that befell emperor Caligula or King Herod after the Wise Men of the East went home without paying him a visit. Impotent hysteria is the sign that notifies collapse.
And how did King Herod respond to the snub?
Georgi Dimitrov, the famous communist (defended himself for the reichstag fire accusations and got acquitted) defined fascism as “the political manifestation of finance capitalism”. He said nothing about ethno-nationalism, but his splitting of capitalism is instructive. And as a communist he would have been very careful in using words like capitalism and fascism. That he made the point to say finance capitalism as opposed to just capitalism or even include industrial capitalism is important.
If one uses Dimitrov’s definition, the 21st century is shaping up to be a battle against fascism waged by the global south. They’ve been the prime victims of current fascism, but we people of the “west”, the little people, are victims too. The railroad workers who aren’t allowed to get a sick day because the president sides with railroad investors. The distortion of the housing market because black rock plays the housing market. The hollowing out of our industries and the loss of good paying jobs. Finance capitalism owns both American political parties. Ad nauseam examples. While thought and speech are limited to what serves the politics of finance capitalism.
Shortages of Viagra have been reported worldwide. Experts say that this was caused by the large amounts of it being shipped to Russia, in order to be used by the Russian Armed Forces in ongoing war crime effort. A little blue pill has a long history of use as a powerful tool of ruthless dictators against the peaceful population, in an attempt to rape them into submission.
Pfizer stated that they do not approve the use of their products in rape or other war crimes, but do understand that superior quality makes them a natural choice. The company stated that they did not end delivery of medicines to Russia, because that “would cause significant patient suffering and potential loss of life, particularly among children and elderly people”. They added that they hope to increase sales of their world renown COVID-19 vaccine in the future.

I’m guessing that unless they’re psycopaths the writers are mostly true believers recruited for their conformity by psycopaths higher up the foodchain, there seems to be no shortage of true believers unfortunately.
Anybody have input on the Treaty of Rapallo, secret Soviet/German agreement?

Whoever wrote that article that Putin has cancer has never seen an actual person ravaged by gastric or colon cancer. But people are dumb enough to believe it.
I’ve never heard of that site before, but it looks like top level of modern day western journalism. They actually made a “news” article about Putin shitting his pants (with a follow-up).
https://radaronline.com/p/vladimir-putin-health-question-falls-down-stairs-soils-himself-moscow/
https://radaronline.com/p/kremlin-denies-putin-fell-down-stairs-soiled-himself/
Article about 70 year old not playing a hockey game is intern-writer-level, compared to that.
In other front page news, kids banned from taking photos of pervert exposing himself in front of them.
https://radaronline.com/p/school-district-bans-students-photographing-transgender-teacher-breast-prosthetics/
I hope Putin does not forget to press that big red button before he dies of cancer tommorow.
The state has been able to convince a wide swath of society that men can be women (helped along by ‘laws’ & jail if you challenge that edict), ‘drag show grooming’ is ‘good’ for children and children can then decide independently to have the state chemically/surgically mutilate them.
Why is it so hard to believe anything else they tell people is ‘the truth’?????????????????????????????????
” … you cannot have infinite growth on a finite planet.”
No this is not a Fundamental Law of Reality. This is the thinking of Malthusians. That is if you’re talking about economic growth.
New technologies and products, unknown to us today, are not something that can be predicted. Like the discovery of oil replacing whale oil which was being depleted. If we really had authentic free markets, instead of oligarch corporations in bed with the state, food sources and energy would be cheap and abundant as well as cleaner. It can be done. You need to have enough economic development based on freedom, including ideas. The state is the problem.
https://mises.org/library/story-stuff
Actually it is one of the fundamental laws of reality. Everything is limited.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy
Free market, on the other hand, is as real as Santa Claus. Putting the word “authentic” in front of it makes it even less real.
You are an optimistic, “just saying”.
Trying to explain entropy to a bunch of guys living in the XVIII (18th) century.
(“We should have never given women the right to vote …”.
Amazing the public that Mr. Johnson has).
As a man of science, I just had to react to a claim that laws of physics aren’t fundamental laws of reality. It sounds like some kind of satire, but it’s not. Economic experts are really that dumb, hence my free market comment.
The voting thing looked like an obvious trolling to me. Everyone knows that all votes are equally worthless.
As far as comment section goes, this one is among the best I’ve seen on the Internet. I guess that says more about the others than this one.
And yet the planet’s resources are dwindling more and more, climate is changing more and more (more violent everything, more swings everything…), pollution is higher and higher, there is less and less to go around and there are more and more mouths to feed, all having bought into the “western abundance” lifestyle idea. Get out of here….
I really enjoy reading your commwnts here on this blog Oddo. For one who is skeptical of the Ujraine narrative, would you consider that MSM about climate is also biased and hysterical? Check out Watts up with That website. You may not agree with everything on there, but at least you get to find out names of scientists previously held in high regard until thwy dared to dissent from the Earth is Doomed narrative
Better example to destroy the fraud that Putin is on his last legs. Over at the Sakers Vineyard is a video of Putin speaking to about 100 delegates from all over the non Western, non decomposing world at an annual event in Moscow called the Valdai Discussion Club
The video is 4 hours long, as this near totally disabled dictator stood at a podium for 40 minutes speaking and then sat for another THREE HOURS fielding questions from the audience. And by the end, he DID look a little pained. But so would any man his age, especially one who may be taking treatments for cancer.
Meanwhile, his moral superior in Ukraine pops up from time to time in his tough guy costume .. either to demand more largesse from the USA, or hang out with Sean Penn or Bono, or in an attempt to start WW3. So, naturally, hes the Time’s Man of The Year
Ive done any number of satirical posts and parodies over the years, but I’ve now retired my poison pen. I cant keep up with reality anymore
The reference to Ali’s rope-a-dope strategy reminded me of Foreman’s words in a post-fight interview. They are as applicable to Russia and the collective West as they were to the Rumble in the Jungle.
George went down in the next round.
The collective West is a little slower than George Foreman, but it finds itself at a similarly revelatory moment. It’s going into the 9th Round (of sanctions) and it’s dawning on ’em that this war isn’t what they thought it was. George realized he’d made a strategic blunder and it was too late to develop an alternative. He’d exhausted his resources, and with the realization his will to fight on. Likewise, the West has seen its best shots parried and has exhausted its resources. Its will is visibly cracking. All it can do is wait for Russia to unleash the equivalent of Ali’s sudden flurry of punches that put Foreman down.
Foreman was bitter about his loss for years, but he eventually came ’round to realizing he’d lost to a legend and they became best friends. One expects worse than bitterness from the West, but one can hope that it will ultimately come ’round as graciously as Foreman did.
The West always publicly telegraphs their moves. Conceit and braggadocio. Heck, the press published satellite photos of Engels 3 days before the drone strike. They’re now telegraphing attacks on Crimea and Melitopol and Iran. They got some PR stuff planned in the coming 2-4 weeks. I don’t know if the Russians will ever truly take off the gloves but they’re extremely disciplined in resisting the West’s attempts at provoking a wider war.
What purpose is served by continuing to highlight insane Western propaganda? I stopped paying attention to such things a decade ago, and now only get exposed when reading articles such as this. Yes, Western political leadership is inept and corrupt, but we are not going to talk our way out of the mess we’re in. They will not stop lying no matter how many humiliating internet posts are published. And they will not be replaced either because vote rigging is now epidemic. Better is to focus on making oneself stronger and more resilient. As demonstrated by the Soviet Union in the early 90s, a dysfunctional government will eventually collapse. And it will start in Europe because the US has set them up to fail first. But collapse will come the US too.
What have we learned from the Soviet collapse into a new Russian state, and the resulting decade of misery in the 90s? Do not let the financial vultures into your new country. They must be expelled or extirpated with existential fervor. Imagine how different things would have been for Russia if 90s had not been wasted.
All true, TomA. As you have wisely observed in another venue, “Smarter, not harder”.
Dedicated to Zelensky and the west.

I’m on holiday in Italy for the rest of the year. Yesterday in St Mary’s Square in Venice I saw three folks, man with two women companions. My wife and I were taking selfish in front of the basilica when the man offered to take our photo.
I thanked him and after I offered the same.
One of the women wandered off, the man was calling her to pose for the shots.
He launched into a song, a beautiful melody and his voice was absolutely beautiful. The woman heard him and came back.
I noticed his phone had Cyrillic legends.
After the photos I asked him where they were from. The man looked down and said very warily “Russia ”
I smiled and told him inwas American and thrilled to meet them. We chatted for 10 minutes, they were professional singers in Venice for a show.
I told him that many in America wished Mr Putin was our president. He laughed, I told him it was true and they had more people on their side than they could ever imagine.
The man invited us to visit them in Moscow. I offered the same to them. He said “in better times ”
I told him that better times were coming.
I have mer Russians all over the world, from Paris to Singapore to Cambodia and the Philippines and I have found them to be the warmest, friendliness people by far of almost anyone from anywhere.
Oh and the two women were drop-dead gorgeous.
Nice, Alex. I used to socialize with quite a few Russian ex-pats in Las Vegas. After my friend died, I lost contact with them. And yes, very warm and cheerful people. I met the gymnast Vitaly Scherbo through them….I think he is from Belarus.
Sorry Larry, I don’t share your optimism that the west will snap out of their delusion and decide to do what’s right for their people and drop their Ukraine crusade. No, they will double down and send in their troops and if all else fails, resort to tactical nuclear weapons as they accused Russia of contemplating using, in one of their classic confession thru projection moments.
Short and sweet and correct Larry. The only question is do the impotent losers double down? Do they quietly slow the dialogue and just walk away ala Afghanistan? Or do they realize this would be the death knell if they fold? And how far are they willing to go? One thing that is never mentioned is that Russia is holding back a ton of resources. Because it might be a World War in a second. And they might need them. They are literally fighting with their “disposable” forces. Russia won’t start a war, but they have to be prepared to fight one. The future of the World is settled in the next and short future. I personally believe the US’s Western hegemony is done. As defeats mount, we retreat back and friend shore, etc., and live on our side of the world. But time will tell. Frank Sinatra had a great quote. “Regrets, I’ve had a few. But then again, too few to mention”. The USA is not able to use this quote.
“The Russians are sitting shivering in the dark of electricity deprived apartments. That is the European fate.”
I suspect that was meant to say “are NOT sitting…”?
I thought the remedy for political impotence was the little red pill.
Yesterday the RF conducted a massive missile & drone strike on Ukraine’s power grid. During the attack the UAF switched on four radar stations that are connected with an S300 air defense system. All four radar stations were destroyed https://www.vesti.ru/article/3103705 . Talking about hysteria, it is clear that these operators of the S300 were losing their mind, thinking that the enemy wouldn’t be able to locate their switched on radar. The same will happen with the Patriot battery. The only difference will be the nationality (US) of the operators.
I read an article the other day demonstrating how the Patriots phased array radar appears to synthetic apature radar used on space based recon platforms as a big X. Who knows if its true. The article has an image from space showing the location of several Patriot batteries deployed in the mideast all marked with an X artifact.
No idea if the article is true or not.
I do know that a Patriot battery setup is not all that mobile, taking many hours to pack up and move locations. Not a good quality.
The Genius of S400 is that it integrates AD weapons across the spectrum from long range, high altitude intercept to short range, quick response, low altitude defense.
During the first several months of the Ukraine Special Military Operation (SMO) I thought Russia would surely go for a blitzkrieg type victory–they certainly have the capability and I was critical of Russian planners for not unleashing it. Admittedly, that line of flawed and biased thinking was due to my many years in the US military where “shock and awe” is really the only thing we are good at–believe me, the US military is really really good at breaking shit–quickly.
However, the more I assess Russia’s strategy (as I perceive it anyway) the more I am beginning to realize that they do not need a quick SMO victory…as mentioned in this article and many others, US-NATO is wearing thin, resources are low and at some point they will either “have to admit defeat or escalate” (I read that somewhere and it resonated).
Think about this…the Taliban’s (Afghanistan) strategy was basically to wait out and bleed the US led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). OK…so it took the Taliban 20 years but in fact ISAF forces vacated Afghanistan in one of the biggest Charlie Foxtrot military withdraws in history.
I am not saying that Russia intends to draw the SMO out for 20 years but it does appear that time is definitely on Russia’s side at least for the foreseeable future. Lesson learned…assessing Russia’s SMO operation through western eyes = failure
I agree with you. I made the same mistake early on. This war clearly has hurt NATO and made it weaker.
I don’t think you made a mistake Larry. I think the Russians when they headed to Kiev thought the Ukrainians would see the handwriting on the wall. And be reasonable. They forgot they are dealing with honest to God brainwashed Nazi’s. So, it was a cluster, and they started in the Donbas. I think after Mariupol they paused. And said to themselves. “Surely they see the end result”. And the Ukes and the West did not. This is like a church goer trying to reason with a Meth tweaker. There is no understanding on either side. So, the Russians keep grinding. And saying to themselves (probably in a rather amazed tone) “They don’t get it”! What the Russian strength has been is their ability to recognize mistakes, recalibrate, replan, and adjust. Something the US political machine has ZERO ability in.
Ironic, if so. We’ve long known that the publicly asserted reason for Natoland’s confrontation with the RF is to subvert it and to break it apart into pieces which can be managed more easily according to foreign interests. I’m sure that these ARE goals, but maybe there’s another reason, too. For example, who would benefit from weakening and degrading Natoland states? Who would not mind killing many of their inhabitants, esp. the whites who, forgive me, are showing off an ASTONISHING amount of street stupidity right now?
If I were a reckless gambler, I would place a large bet that there’s a plot to convert the RF into a new USA/Canada. During the conversion, large parts of Natoland and its eastern affiliates will be reduced to rubble. Later, the territory of the RF will be plundered aggressively for no good reason, which will rhyme a great deal with the behavior of white Tsionist Evropeans in North America. Regions like Kalmykia (historically “Buddhist”, in the Lower Volga) will eventually have their old ways wiped out and be replaced with authoritarians who are closer genetically or idealistically to the instigators.
After the transformation is complete, a renewed and dominant Federation will have emerged from the ruins of the old Russian empire. Large parts of Natoland will be in ruins, and Disorder will be lord. The chaos will be made all the more horrifying by the recent (past 60 yrs) influx of aliens, many of them hostile. Thus, this war is the bustout of western Evropean countries, the USA, and Canada. I am not a habitual gambler, however, so I’m not ready to place a large bet on this speculation. Yet.
Now, let’s look at the face and the right thumb of a famous hockey player: https://www.unz.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/olig-3OO-600×354.jpg
Does that hatless fellow in the middle appear to be a confident man who is in control of his surroundings and the people in it? It appears to me that hatless will be glorifed with a shrine like Charlemagne’s,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karlsschrein
and maybe, one day, a prize will be named after him, just like Karl has now. Like Karl’s Prize, Putinspreis will be administered and awarded by useful idiots.
https://www.karlspreis.de/en/
P.S. “The International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen 2023 will be awarded to H.E. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, and to the People of Ukraine.”
Exactly, unless that is all theater, and I doubt the Russians are capable of such long term emotional performance, simply, it does not fit with their character, that could be the most impressive evolution in an stateman I have witnessed.
You only have to read his tirades in TG to understand that you have been blessed and so will be with Putin´s longevity and his healthy moderate stance….
I think Putin, if not as result of his long stay in Germany, still oves Europe way too much…I mean European culture and people, of ocurse, not the current bunch of mediocrities and corrupts…
Quite fitting within this topic about Western hysteria: https://www.rt.com/news/568428-ufo-visit-us-pentagon/
Pentagon clarifies position on aliens
There’s currently no evidence of extraterrestrials landing or crashing on our planet, the undersecretary of defense says
A new body set up by the Pentagon to look into reported sightings of UFOs has so far not found any evidence of alien life, the US Department of Defense has said.
The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which was established this July to track unidentified objects in the sky, space, and underwater, and to assess any security threat these may pose, has received “several hundreds” of additional reports of unexplained phenomena, the head of the body, Dr Sean Kirkpatrick, told journalists on Friday.
However, according to undersecretary of defense for intelligence Ronald Moultrie, AARO experts “haven’t seen anything that would lead us to believe any of the objects we have seen are of alien origin.”
“I haven’t seen anything… to suggest there has been an alien visitation or alien crash,” Moultrie added.
The undersecretary also said that the US considers any “unauthorized system” in its airspace to be “a threat to safety.”
Both Kirkpatrick and Moultrie declined to reveal how many of the approximately 400 cases under investigation have already been identified. More detailed information is promised, to be released in a dedicated report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
Kirkpatrick also said that AARO has been working on expanding its ability to identify UFOs, including re-calibrating sensors, and coordinating with the Pentagon and the US intelligence community to get the signatures of American technology to de-conflict observations.
UFOs have been a hot topic in Washington in recent months, after the US Congress held its first hearing on the issue in more than half a century. The lawmakers expressed concerns that the unidentified objects could be aliens or some new technology operated by China, Russia or another potential adversary.
I agree with nearly all of this, but…the US will not accept that it cannot continue to pour billions into Ukraine, or kill its economy, or ruin the lives of its citizens. For the simple reason that it does not care about America or Americans—it only cares about protecting its political and economic global empire by destroying whoever poses even the slightest threat to its dominance.
I just assume when the mainstream media refers to “Russian insiders” it’s code for Ukrainian intelligence made some shit up and passed it on to western intelligence as factual knowledge.
Kudos to Mr. Newhill. I am a woman and he is correct. Women have their own type of God-given wisdom, their own strengths, and their own important contributions to the good of society. But they are not designed by God to be the leaders of the family or society. Yes, women should never have been given the vote.
I am also a woman nad agree with some of Mr Newhills comments. I worked in mining for 15 years often as the geologist in charge of drilling and earthmoving crews. My view is that some women want the opportunities in tough leadership roles, but when the going gets tough they scream Sexism instead of accepting that if u are wrong you should listen to advice and just maybe learn something.
Mr. Johnson- yu have a great forum and i appreciate being able to comment . With your growing audience your articles and the comments people make here reach allot more people than a regular email list which is great. Also you allow people to comment as long as they do not cross established boundaries . i have know blown enough smoke for one day .
i checked out todays articles in zerohedge and found some to describe the hysteria that has hit the west and the consequences of it. Unless someone proves me wrong the leadership and militaries of the west have become like an angry swarm of bees who are impotent against the russian bear whose thick fur and hide they cannot sting through while he takes away their honey they have accumulated since 2014.

It is no coincidence that the US military today is dealing with some of the worst recruitment conditions they have ever seen in terms of people being physically and mentally incapable of finishing basic training. The Pentagon currently estimates that 77% of young Americans are unfit for recruitment without a waiver for obesity, drug use and mental health problems. Meaning, Gen Z is so unfit physically and mentally if there was a major war almost 80% of them would be erased from existence.

i just listened to this hour long program and it is the best i have seen in describing the technology behind the transhuman agenda. i have been researching this agenda for a couple of years and this is the one i think puts it all together in one complete package. in my opinion this is the biggest threat to all humanity there is out there. this may sound sci-fi to many of you; but as is shown in the video the technology is already out there and being used.

Hypothetical…
Supposing, the Ukraine war was just a smoke screen – let’s face it, it’s gone on long enough and nobody appears to be gaining anything…. Supposing Putin was in on it with Biden… As more and more weapons flood into Ukraine…. And then all those weapons are turned on Europe… Because, let’s face it, neither Putin or Biden like Europe…. Then after annihilating the entirety of Europe, Biden takes Western Europe and Putin Eastern Europe. Meanwhile, Little Britain, is taken by all those Muslim, pre-trained, troops, flooding in over the Channel.
And I should remind you, that Putin is a member of the WEF.
Just a thought.
I will comment on only one part of your drivel.
Putin is not, and has never been in the WEF young Leaders program. He was not young enough.
This is a lie that has been repeated ad nauseam and has now become a meme to the ignorant.
The “Russia is short of missiles” trope reminds me of the Nazi line during the battle of Stalingrad that they were “capturing the train station”, which they kept repeating.
I think a movie all of you might like is Tar, with Cate Blanchett as a symphony conductor in Berlin, and deals with women’s leadership, the battle between a heroic artist and rule by committee…certainly an Ayn Rand theme. Blanchett is wonderful, and the committee and mass movement attacking her work recalls the MSM and system destroying Trump. Also, a point is made that the current Woke culture is like the de-nazification rule enforced on postwar Germany. There’s a neat scene where she demolishes a mulatto musician who argues Bach is too white to study. There is a good review of it in countercurrents by Trevor Lynch, and it seems to be a good comment t on Germany, the west, artistic high culture versus vindictiveness. Cate also speaks good German as well.
I’m working on a review as well. Really, you Germans especially ought to see this.
Possibly the best movie of the year.
“like the de-nazification rule enforced on postwar Germany. ”
You are apparently ignorant of the “de-nazification” window dressings and related activities in Germany, which were facilitated under the negotiated cooperations from 4th May 1945 between Mr. Wolff and Mr. Dulles in respect of all of Europe.
“Blanchett is wonderful….certainly an Ayn Rand” is even more wonderful as a comfort blanket over many more years.
“The phrase, “British Intelligence,” should be entered in the Oxford English Dictionary as the exemplar of an oxymoron ” : Someone is trying hard to please the Frenchs there ^^.
Anyway , hysteria might not be the right word for the bunch of suckers spamming the panic button right now. Some, like Ursula, are still in /FullKaren mode with ‘Sanctions’ and so on, but most the rest are asking themselves how to flee the upcoming shitstorm before it’s too late.
The panic is still a fear ; some fights it , some embraces it , some denies it, some lives aside it. None tries to says : ok , we fuck the thing , our bad , we’re gonna be adults , resign and accept the trials and consequences. NONE. We’re leaded by a bunch of dirty brats.
The simplest possible explanation for President Putin’s annual Press Conference being cancelled is that the Red Army is going to do what it does Best- a Winter Blitzkrieg against European Nations that have Poked the Bear once too often.
General Armageddon has set up General Winter, by Turning Out the Lights in the ‘Kraine, leaving the Nazi’s to Freeze in the Dark.
Yep, MSM is right this time. It’s looking grim for the losing side. Unpopular feeble leader incapable of giving speeches or taking questions. Population confused by an avalanche of propaganda. Military & energy reserves depleted. Economy bruised by sanctions. Increasingly isolated from 70% of world population.
It’s the 4th quarter and I can hear Don (Armegeddon) Meredith already humming ‘turn out the lights….. the party’s over’. The European fat lady is warming up her voice.
Preparations under way for a New Year fireworks celebration…. on January 14.
All I have to say is, wait till the mud in ukraine freezes….
