World War III has started. I hope that more Americans are starting to understand that the war in Ukraine is not a battle between the forces of Kiev and the forces of Moscow. Ukraine is a mere proxy. Russia is fighting NATO and Russia fully understands this. Russia realizes it confronts an existential threat and is conducting itself accordingly. It appears that most Western leaders think Russia is bluffing and, if faced with enough international pressure, will back down. It is that kind of stupidity that makes global war a looming possibility.
Up to this point, Russia has confined its military response to hitting Ukrainian targets and engaging Ukrainian and foreign mercernaries on the battlefield. But recent decisions by the U.S. and NATO countries to send more weapons and vehicles to Ukraine in a desperate bid to stave off Ukraine’s defeat on the battlefield risks a dramatic expansion of the conflict beyond the borders of Ukraine.
As Helmholtz Smith notes in his latest post, the United States and Europe are scrambling to provide a new batch of weapons and vehicles (depleting their own resources in the process). It carries an air of desperation and the progress of Russia in the Donbas during the last weak is exacerbating their fears. I think Putin and his team of military leaders understand precisely what is at stake and are taking very visible steps to show they are preparing for the worst. The Hal Turner radio show posted this headline today:
Russia Installing “PANTSIR-S” Air Defenses on Roofs of MoD and Gov’t Buildings in Moscow
The PANTSIR is surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system. Russia has several models, with the PANTSIR SM the most capable deployed system in its inventory. Russia is prepared for the possibility that Ukraine, with the encouragement of the U.S. and NATO, will launch an attack on Moscow with missiles or drones supplied by the West. If that happens, then that will mark a terrible watershed for an escalation in this war.
If or when a US or European munition hits a target in Crimea or Moscow, Russia will ratchet things up and will likely go after US or European targets in Ukraine. Depending on the severity of the attack, I believe that Russia would be ready to hit bases in Poland or Germany being used to train Ukrainian forces. Before they do that, however, I believe they would shutter the Embassies in DC, London and Germany and ensure that the West cannot take Russia’s diplomats and intelligence officers hostage. Worst case, we hit Moscow and Moscow hits DC. This could get out of hand very rapidly.
I am not trying to frighten you, but the way the West is reacting is not rational and certainly is not based on any strategic vision. Russia clearly realizes this is a hot war. The West still labors under the delusion that the U.S. and NATO are not combatants. Nope, they are just providing the tools, intelligence and planning that Ukraine needs to kill Russians. If this was a murder case, the U.S. and NATO could be charged as accessories.
I would ask those politicians and pundits in Washington, DC who are agitating for pouring more weapons into Ukraine how the United States would react if Russia was arming Mexican drug cartels with weapons that were killing American citizens? You know the answer. The American public would be howling in rage and demand retaliation. If you think that Russians, whose history is written in the blood of centuries of invaders, do not care about the threat that NATO presents on its western border then you know nothing of Russia’s tenacity in beating back such threats. These are very dangerous times.
I don’t know why Russia still bothers to have diplomatic relations with the NATOnazi cabal. None of them is an independent country; all are colonies of the Imperialist States. There is no point having separate diplomatic relations with a colony, since it can have no independent voice. There is also no point in diplomatic relations with the Imperialist States itself, since it is openly an enemy. There’s a hotline between Warshington and Moscow; use it for absolutely essential business. Apart from that there is nothing to discuss.
Well, I mean, exactly for the reasons explained above: The closure of diplomatic missions would be seen as a signal and possibly misconstrued …
WWIII has been ongoing for years. And Larry’s analysis is certainly a possibility.
But while the US State Department is crazy — I doubt the Pentagon is. They are not going to start a way that they would most certainly lose.
Politicians posture and pontificate. But they are also risk adverse. Lose a war and that is the end of your career.
Rather, the US will likely provide surplus obsolete or unusable weaponry.
The Russians will take all of southern Ukraine, now that the Bakmuht/ Soledar defense line is compromised. Then the East bank of the Dniepr. Before that the Zelensky regime will likely be overthrown. Cracks are already appearing.
Western Ukraine is depopulating fast. The Western Ukrainians are ethnically cleansing themselves. Will the Russians give Galicia to the Poles? They might. They don’t regard it as part of Novorossiya. But they would want a quid pro quo. Which would break NATO. The Russians can wipe out every base in Europe in a hour or two. The time they have taken with this SMO has allowed them to substantially upgrade readiness for a European action if necessary. As I have written elsewhere, the US and Canada is really one big island. Russian submarines no doubt are already waiting offshore.
As I wrote in this article: https://julianmacfarlane.substack.com/p/soledar-and-bakhmut-about-to-fall…
“As the Americans are always saying, “We have to fight them over there so we don’t fight them here”. They dimly understand their vulnerability. If the Russians take out NATO (US) military bases in Europe, the war would suddenly be very much “over here”.Russia submarines off the coast of Washington DC could launch nuclear or non-nuclear strikes before the US had even begun warming up its missiles in their silos.A hypersonic missile takes 30 seconds to cover 100 km.
A US nuclear launch takes 15 minutes from the time the President makes his decision. In Biden’s case, it would be longer. He would need a few PowerPoint sessions first and someone to remind him where the nuclear keys are and how to use them.Unlike the Russians, the US has no credible anti-missile defenses to protect them at home.
How many Americans really want to die for Zelensky?”
The real question is not how many want to die for Elensky but for the bankers.
What’s the difference?K.WW
What’s the difference?
“A US nuclear launch takes 15 minutes from the time the President makes his decision.”
Only if the “enemy” has decided to attack us from half a world away, which is the least likely scenario on the game board should an “enemy” decide to attack using nuclear weapons.
What will happen, is Russian submarines will their fire their payloads from close range, and US decision makers will have three to four minutes to make up their minds as to what to do, before the of the first targets start getting vaporized.
And this is assuming that these decision makers are swift of mind and preternaturaly calm under existential pressures, and their early detection systems are working perfectly, otherwise they will have less time … or no time at all.
Same scenario holds for the Russians on the other end of course, should the US decide to strike first. In a first strike scenario, neither the President of the Russian Federation, or of the United States, will have the time necessary to make any decisions whatsoever, other than how fast to run up the steps of their getaway planes.
If they are lucky.
“.A hypersonic missile takes 30 seconds to cover 100 km.”
In a nuclear exchange, 99% of all nuclear missiles engaged, whether they have been fired by the Brits, the French, the Russians, the Americans, the Chinese, and so on, will be traveling at hypersonic speeds, and their warheads will descend from space in their terminal phase at speeds that would make the Zircon blush.
Russian hypersonics like the Zircon are basically just extra fast cruise missiles. Now don’t get me wrong, they are the Ferrari of this irrelevant weapons class at the moment, but nuclear wars are not fought with cruise missiles, at least not yet.
To win a nuclear war, submarine launched ballistic missiles, which reach speeds of Mach 18 two minutes after launch, and Mach 22 to 24 at the time of detonation (depending on which altituded they are programmed for, could be ground, could 70 miles up), have to decide the fate of the battle in an instant.
This strike must reduce the enemy’s retaliatory capability to the Zero Bound with one salvo, otherwise the game ends in draw, and the only life we know of in the univerise* gets estinguished.
*I for one do not believe the aliens are here, as to hold such a belief, is to accept the status that we humans are to them, as a single celled organism is to me. Call me conceited, but no thanks.
Thanks for the perspective!
I think it’s best to keep in mind that Putin once publicly stated well before the launch of the SMO, that if conflict is inevitable, it’s best to get the first punch in. He’s had the tactical advantage of not growing up in a country overflowing with assault chasing lawyers that have taught us in the west to wait for at least an attempted first punch, lest one be charged with assault and a hefty lawsuit.
Of course, what was Maidan if not a fascist coup piggybacked on a wider demonstration. An initial blow (on democracy itself btw).
If we all manage to survive this, I assume some future bards may one day be singing the ballad of Nuland the madwoman of chaillot, who launched a thousand nukes. (pardon the mixed metaphors)
AFAIK, you left out the main advantage of Zircon. It’s not just about speed here, it’s mostly about the fact that Zircon is maneuverable in flight. While an ICBM can reach higher speeds, its trajectory and destination are predictable once it enters the unpowered part of its flight. Therefore, with appropriate systems, ICBMs can be intercepted before reaching their target. In contrast, a 3M22 Zircon can not only travel at Mach9, but also change its trajectory in the process, making it virtually impossible to intercept. In addition, the Zircon is primarily designed as an anti-ship missile, making the US Navy’s impressive aircraft carriers pretty worthless here. Two 3M22 Zirkon at a unit price of about $1 million and the 10 billion dollar aircraft carrier is on its way to the bottom of the ocean.
The USAF deployed a Mach 10 “Sprint” hypersonic missile in 1975, but later got rid of them. I’ve always thought the US Navy should adopt these as anti-ship missiles. Just the impact would devastate a ship.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvZGaMt7UgQ
How old are our nukes? I doubt they would make it out of their bunkers. Ok…
The decision makers in DC and Moscow will be toast, but the surviving designated leaders will have the relative luxury of time to retaliate from the various airborne command posts designed to deal with this problem. Just to be technical, it’s the re-entry vehicles that reach hypersonic speed.
“And this is assuming that these decision makers are swift of mind and preternaturaly calm under existential pressures, and their early detection systems are working perfectly, otherwise they will have less time … or no time at all.”
This seems most likely to me. And if the decision makers are the 1st targets, then I think it’s it’s over.
Some US nukes will reach their target but far from all. Russia is the only nation that has the means to take them out, long before they can do any harm.
US on the other hand has no such counter measures. They know that at least those in military positions do and they are still taking to their Russian counterparts so…
Then of course there are the low-speed alternatives. One wonders what damage would occur if Belgorod were to send a Poseidon into San Francisco Bay and detonate it within spitting distance of the San Andreas Fault….
What will happen, is Russian submarines will their fire their payloads from close range, and US decision makers will have three to four minutes to make up their minds as to what to do
Well, we’re toast then because it takes Biden at least 5 minutes to decide whether to push or pull on a door. Only God can imagine what he’d do with a button.
That is all well and good, but perhaps one should familiarize oneself with the idea that the Russians do not want all this? And from this, of course, consequences arise for an action that is only too readily understood as error-ridden again and again. And I’m sorry – where even the wiser see mistakes, I see options, probabilities, alternative actions – i.e. many plans embedded in a strategy to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term goals – connected with, what I would call a “basic ethos” …
“But while the US State Department is crazy — I doubt the Pentagon is. They are not going to start a way that they would most certainly lose.”
It isn’t the Pentagon that makes these decisions.
It won’t be the Pentagon that makes the tragic miscalculations.
It will be the White House and the State Department.
They will make a decision based on a fundamental miscalculation regarding Russian resolve to see this through.
They will then tell the Pentagon what to do, and the Pentagon will do it.
I mean, honestly, when was the last US General who resigned their commission on a matter of principle? How long ago was it?
” I mean, honestly, when was the last US General who resigned their commission on a matter of principle? How long ago was it?”
I think it was Neverember 32nd, but I’m pretty sure they would not want themselves and their families to be vaporized with the rest of us. Most generals are all mouth. I can envision a mutiny if it came to that.
The WH and state dept. (as well as congress and the media) are only fronts for the deep state / shadow government. The majority of intel agencies staff are corporate contractors. The Pentagon may have a few intelligent people but I highly doubt that they are in positions powerful enough to derail 80+ years of entrenched systemic greed and corruption.
Well this time it wont be poor Black Brown or white people getting slughtered for the poloticians and generals and Riathon Billionaries no this time their families children and grandchildren and all of the Elite are in the soup they all die or live just long enough to wish that they had died.
If you’ll remember Mark Milley brags about short circuiting the National Command Authority system and about being foresworn concerning conventional action viz-a-viz the ChiCom’s, and not a single serving flag officer of any branch has called him on it, most notably not one of the Joint Chiefs.
In my mind it’s a coin toss as to whether nuke strike orders would be carried out or not; however, I am reasonably certain the flag officer corps would rather take the nuke option than a full-on multi-theater conventional war with a near peer adversary. They have built careers around the certainty that they would never be called upon to demonstrate any capacity whatsoever in that regard and have prepared accordingly.
Putin might be wise just to call up Milley and negotiate a nice retirement package for the Joint Chiefs. I think by Russian Oligarch standards they would sell out rather cheap, even with an extra 10% for the “Big Guy” (after all they only have to outbid Raytheon et.al.).
Some will say I’m being overly flippant or cynical. I just recognize the fact that, by its own admission, we have a post-honor officer corp.
Biden is a puppet. He makes no real decisions. Ron Klain is probably the actual executive, and he takes his orders from elsewhere.
Like I said in an earlier article. Biden is Uncle Junior from the sopranos.
American voters prefer to elect DRAFT DODGERS……..last US President with military experience/combat was George H W Bush
Biden had 5 Deferments
Trump dodged
Clinton dodged
Eisenhower did not rush into war – and neither did JFK
The US, if it did something to trigger such a drastic escalation, would know what it did and should know what is coming home to it. The closure of the embassies, one would hope, would require a change of Biden’s diapers.
Spot on. I have dozens of times posted that Russia (and China) should stop all negotiations with the the sock puppets and wet ragsmof the Coĺe tive West. Only talk directly with the Satanist Talmudist AshkeNAZI 300 in London-NewYork/Wahington-Yerushalayim. If they don’t want to talk, send them back to where they came from: HELL.
Excellent points, PB, there is indeed no reason for talking to people one cannot trust.
They need diplomatic relations with US colonies in order to enable some of them to switch sides when the time comes, like Saudi Arabia did.
There is no diplomatic relations. The west don’t conduct diplomacy. CIA man Burns met Sergey Naryshkin, but I imagine it is was only to warn America what will happen if they cross the redlines.
However they are continually pushing them, very worrying.
It will be the end of us all and I don’t think the American government can understand this.
Russia like the Soviet Union does not ever give up
The problem with the hotline is that the man picking up at the Washington end is non compos mentis. There could not be a worse time for this to be the case.
Because it allows GRU officers to operate inside NATO countries
You have such a simplistic view of the world
Well this is one solution to the Wests financial problems.
I can remember watching a video years ago by Gerald Celente. His thesis was that when it all goes to shit they take us to war.
At the time I thought he was merely ranting. Now? I’m starting to think he was right.
Lord help us.
Admirals in drag, soldiers in red heels and southern white men not signing up for duty. Open boarders, trillions in debt, Chinese ladies tidying up in the garage. What could possibly go wrong!
Just type…
“Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party.”
Insert “Republic,” if you love your country.
Russia already has and they have the DNA of Stalingrad in their veins. If the Russian Army has to fight, it’s all the way to the bunker, no stopping, no more mister nice guy only Mr Nasty.
Why not! this shit show has gone on for long enough.
Thank you Mr Johnson for your careful monitoring of these developments and for sharing your thoughts daily with us.
It is very late indeed to stop this nonsense, as the people now in charge in the whole West appear to be led by a delusional group think, and they moreover lack the individual ability to personal responsibility and judgment.
What big rallies can achieve even in such critical circumstances is tragically limited, we have experienced that again and again, for example in 2003. The growing nuclear fear will neither make the folks more clearminded nor more determined than they otherwise are. We can only expect a thicker cloud or fog of disinformation blurring the landscape, making it more difficult for the concerned and cool-headed themselves to get to the facts.
We will not give up, though.
The UNSC is still functioning, many nations are watching this confrontation, and some of them may take initiatives or clever actions to push down the risk of escalation. I hope so.
Correct, and as Putin has said, ‘if there is no Russia, then there’s no world ‘.
…and that is the most important thing Putin has ever said that was completely ignored by the West. Russians do not bluff and there is no doubt in my mind, nor the minds of the Russian leaders that the ‘dead hand’ will fall if necessary.
Powerfully-expressed!
At least, it shall never be said that people like you didn’t give ample warnings!
To be honest, the scariest thing is to see the Collective West led by people with absolutely no sense of self-awareness, and with absolutely no knowledge of history, geography, economics, military science etc.
True to tell, I don’t see any leader in the West who strikes me as one with ability to generate any original thoughts!
I did not know that I will live to see the West in its current pathetic state!
This is definitely the case in Canada. If this was not so serious it would be a scene out of Pawn Stars, “For Canada can we have a diplomate and a statesman?”
“I’m afraid not, best I can give you is a drama teacher, good luck.”
I live in Canada currently and I’m leaving. Such a shame as in many ways it’s the perfect country but the trucker protests opened my eyes that its perhaps not the kind of place I want to be.
If we see the United States’ federal government begin to vacate the District of Columbia you will know that it is going to get REALLY HOT! Frankly it might get their attention to have to do this. Besides, the capital city has become such a symbol of the fascist nature of the US government, that it would be a sort of satisfying image to see the whole fucking place incinerated.
Yeah. And don’t own a house near Mt Weather, right Larr?
First on Russia’s target list in Europe is the new, massive, glassy headquarters building in Brussels. If I worked there, I’d take a very long vacation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_headquarters#/media/File:Brussels_NATO_Headquarters.jpg
An inviting target. People who work in glass offices shouldn’t throw insults
This is the summary of a report in the WaPo today: “CIA director William Burns secretly visited Kiev last week and told Zelensky about Russia’s military plans for the coming weeks and months.
“They also discussed US military assistance to Kiev. The director of the CIA acknowledged that at some point the supply of weapons could be reduced due to a decrease in the level of support for Ukraine among Americans.
“According to WP sources, it is assumed that the support of Ukraine by the White House, despite the transition of the House of Representatives of Congress to the leadership of the Republicans, will last at least until July or August.”
Two things spring to mind. How does Burns know enough about Russia’s plans to lay it out for Zelensky? Seriously. Is that just guesswork or does the CIA have a mole in the Russian General Staff, because no one else seems to be able to predict where and when the shoe is going to drop?
Maybe Burns just said: “Well Z, here it is. You’re going to get an even worse arse-kicking for the next six months or until the Russians get tired of it. Then you surrender.”
Second, how do they expect to carry on sending money and weapons until July or August? Why then? Why not say it all ends next week? More guesswork? Seeing as the WaPo is the CIA’s in-house mouthpiece you really have to wonder what is going on. Over to you Larry; I can ask the questions but I can’t even guess at the answers.
The Ukrainian telegram channels that I read – Легитимный, Резидент, Картель (Legitimate, Resident, Cartel) – report daily in Russian “secret” information according to Mi6 intelligence about the plans of the Russian General Staff -))).
For 11 months, a certain “mole” in the Kremlin has been regularly informing London, Washington, Berlin about what was obvious to any Internet user yesterday, about fait accompli.
Funny.
And how do you know that information is accurate?
@Biggus — Perhaps I had an inaccurate translation that did not allow you to catch the sarcasm in my message.
I do not consider public information about the plans of the General Staff accurate. It is clear that this is disinformation.
Exactly! Why believe ANYTHING in WaPo?
Larry:
There are so many analysts seeing this escalation, do you see any specific catalyst that would result in Russia hitting NATO headquarters (with conventional weapons)?? (Some think attack on Crimea)
Next question: Is there any resolution that West will settle & back off?
Thanks
It’s an old trick, designed to sow distrust within the opposition’s general staff. Probably goes back 5000 years.
July /August is all they need. Didn’t you hear Ben Hodges on Time Radio.
He emphatically said that Ukraine will retake Crimea by the summer.
If Russian sinks a few US aircraft carriers with and Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic missiles, it could really throw a wrench into DC’s plans regarding Taiwan.
The American government is run by madmen.
“The American government is run by madmen.”
I just “contacted the White House” and said you’ve all lost their minds if you’re now taking marching orders from the likes of Eliot Cohen. No salutation, not even a “Dearest Darkest Brandon”.
Though I imagine it’s nothing but NSC/DOJ staffers wading through the e-mails to ferret out White Supreeemacist dissidents and Green Shirt skeptics.
you’ve all lost *your* minds
Chinese have invested a lot in anti-ship missiles, and US knows that. We won’t be watching another aircraft carrier standoff there.
One problem is that those pushing for escalation in Washington do not anticipate ever experiencing the consequences of their actions, isolated from their enemy by two oceans and largely untouched by their many wars.
When faced with a group of opponents, it is advisable to throw one’s first punch at the mouth of the group – the followers may be reluctant to join in when the leader is struck down.
A sensible Russian response to Western escalation would be a decapitating strike on the continental US and see how brave the poodles in Europe are without the bully-in-chief.
As reported by Southfront, the executive director of the George W Bush Institute states ” since the return of Crimea and other territories to Kiev’s control is in the interests of Washington. According to him, concerns about escalation, including the use of tactical nuclear weapons, should not deter the West.”
https://southfront.org/global-war-is-not-an-obstacle-for-golden-billion/
These guys are nuts!
Greed, pure greed. From years of planning, NATO so had its heart set on evicting the Black Sea fleet from Crimea and claiming it for itself that it saw it as the golden keystone and coveted it so much that even a forceful yanking out of Russia’s hands became an obsession. We all know what happens when you yank a keystone out of its place in a structure.
re “These guys are nuts!” — unfortunately, this literally is one of the major issues we have. It is a well-known and widely documented fact that 25% to 40% of Ashkenazi jews have severe psychiatric disorders due to centuries of inbreeding (part of their culture and tabu for jews to marry “untetermench”, aka “goyim” — good jewish girls only marry good jews boys, none of that “gentile” blood tainting, only inbreeding).
The most widespread issues among jews are schizophrenia, bi-polar disorders, and manic-depression. Add to this an absolutely animalistic hatred they have towards Russians and Slavs in general (going back to the destroyed Jewish Khazar kingdom) and you have a recipe for an absolutely irrational, psychotic hatred.
And why their being psycho matters?
Because Ashkenazi jews have been in charge of the so-called “US gov” for decades. Initially, they ruled from behind (billionaires picked pocket “presidents” and “senators” — with gullible plebes successfully duped to believe they are the ones who “elect” their rulers — you know, “democracy”, “constitution”, blah, blah, blah).
Interestingly in the last 15-20 years Ashkenazi have now openly taken over the key political offices, especially State Dpt, AG, all sorts of “advisers” to the “president”, etc. And now look who is driving the world straight into the nuclear quagmire: Nuland (Nudelman, with her hubby Kagan), omnipresent Georgie Soros, Blinkin, Madeline Allbright (before the bitch kicked the bucket), Kissinger, Merrick Garland (Russian hoax anyone?!), and scores of others. All of them are Ashkenzi jews.
And the chances are all of them are schizophrenic, bi-polar, maniacal, or likely all of the above.
So, yes, “Nuts” is a good description of those who are leading the world into the nuclear end.
I’m from Poland, I’m regularly here because we have total censorship at home. Included in your comment is the real reason for the actions of the US government.
You have allowed the Khazarian clique to take over your rule, and they are now doing the same thing to you Americans as they did to the Russians until 1953.
They hate us Slavs and especially Russians. They hate Russia , because General Zhukov sent his troops to the headquarters of the Jewish NKVD and had them slaughtered,
Estimates vary from 2 – 4 thousand officers. He himself at the time went to a meeting of the Politburo and shot Beria. Roja was executed but the US was conquered.
An American Zhukov is needed to finally bring peace to the world.

An American Zhukov is needed to finally bring peace to the world.
Closest man I can think of is Doug MacGregor.
Thanks for that contribution to the discussion, Rocktime. If we get through this current period, I hope that Russia’s citizens and leadership will have had all eyes opened about the risk posed to their society and lives by that troublesome minority. First in 1919, then in 1991, and now in the current crisis!
Surely Rzeszów is the place to defenestrate ? It is where US weapons supplies land, it is where the 14 Challenger 2 tanks have been since Jul 2022.
How Poland can transport heavy goods into Ukraine without being destroyed is unclear.
Once Russia has Odessa it has those tunnels into Romania
@Greenwood – there are tunnels from Poland to Western Ukraine.
I meant to mention in my previous comment that a couple of days after William Burns visited Kiev the Interior Minister and his colleagues met their death by helicopter. Rumours abound that it was an assassination, the result of feuding within the Ukraine leadership, but who could give the green light for such an obvious takedown? You’d think they’d more likely have poisoned him and then blamed it on Putin. Or just settled for a bullet in the brain. It seems like a terrible waste of a perfectly good helicopter.
How deep is the alignment between Russia and China? Will China just look and stare when the USA and Russia will start direct confrontation? Does China prepare for a nuclear escalation?
The possible war between NATO and Russia concerns the whole world. A nuclear warfare would not stop at the boundary of China, or whatever other country.
Any voices from others on this planet?
At this point in time, it can be safely assumed that Russia and China have comprehensive joint defense treaties in place and ready to go: To expect anything less would be pure folly, but then again, the collective west has been intellectually degraded to such a degree that even such expectancies will probably not deter them from attacking Russia directly in order to find out.
Both Russia and America are Pacific Ocean powers, and any war in Europe would automatically spill over into Asia and the Pacific Ocean. Whether China and Japan would be dragged into it is a good question, but when the shooting war is on your own border, it’s likely you will join in.
There will be a well established US military plan for the event of a nuclear exchange between the US and Russia.
It is almost inconceivable that the plan would allow for the US being heavily damaged with China sitting out to pick up the pieces. Any nuclear exchange between the US and Russia probably automatically includes the US targeting China — and all relevant parties understand that.
Interesting question is whether it stops there. In that situation does China plan to lob some nukes at Japan and India, so they can’t take advantage of any devastation it suffers.
Western political leaders, and their military servants, still think they can dictate world events to their advantage. This has largely been the case for the developmental time of these generations, but it has passed. Not entirely perhaps, but the Sino-Russian axis has already drawn much of the world to its ranks, it does so because it offers hope for the future, something association with the depraved of the US, Britain and Europe cannot do. The danger is as Larry points out, will western leaders foment a situation that leads to a nuclear exchange, I hope not, but cannot be sure. If it does I hope to die immediately along with those I love.
In Germany, all MSM and also the “alternative” media like Achgut and Tichy are promoting the war. Also all but far left anf far right parties in the parlament. And the Government consits of uneducated and dumb people.
Therefore, what could go wrong?
I just read an article by Eliot Cohen (co-founder of the Project for the New American Century) in The Atlantic that advocates for sending Ukraine more weapon systems that can hit and “decisively defeat” Russia. The article is entitled “Western Aid to Ukraine Is Still Not Enough”, and subtitled “Any result other than a victory for Kyiv will make the world a more dangerous place for all of us”. One can almost see Cohen spreading his arms wide, so as to include the common benighted American in this stellar effort. I joked with my son that Anne Applebaum does it better, in that the puppeteer’s strings are slightly less apparent.
America will not survive in any viable form with these warmongering neocons at the helm. It’s time they be called out and frankly, purged for the good of the nation.
Perhaps there’s a way to avoid military launches …
If some of those munitions lost in the nazukies’ black market happened to boomerang — “bringing the war back home,” (Vietnam War tune) — and here, start flying in the windows of Hollywood moviemakers or cable news HQs or national msm newspapers …
Breaking News.
This just in from Kiev.
BOOM!
… then the whole gawdammed shut-in America media narrative just might stop the dumb-and-dumber schtick pretty damn quick.
I’m sure diplomatic staff understand the nature of their business enough to know that their lives and liberty are always in danger in case of war. If they are lucky and the timing is right, they can be allowed to leave the country safely – otherwise….
Madmen and the criminally insane can not be reasonably dealt with – they will carry on until they are physically stopped – unfortunately, many must die and suffer great loss until that happens.
Excellent. Maybe depopulation will be faster with a huge global conflict than mere Covid injections (Covid countermeasures undertaken by the DoD now proven).
Isn’t this just dandy? Over 350 years of central banks creating “fairy dust” magic money out of nothing and their death cult warfare model knocks on our door to pay up again.
Note Japan rearming at the behest of their US masters. Noted US F16s being redirected into Japan. Japan commits billions to build their military to “fight China” for their Anglo-American protectorates. Thanks Japan, well done. No Bushido balls left in Japan. Japan’s PM Kishida was in Washington confirming missile deals with Raytheon for $1.4 billion.
Now we get to see if Russia’s new military hardware really works. I sometimes wonder if Russia at the highest levels of their banking, corporate and government/intelligence structures aren’t cutting Freemason deals to cause another round of world war type of mass killing? Hmmm…
Or maybe the Chabad Lubativitch (Rebbe Schneerson & Co.) with their networked death cult set up in most countries are causing all the problems here? Hmmm….
Let the war commence…
Japan which already over leveraged and it’s economy hanging by a thread. Completely dependent on oil and gas from Russia and OPEC. Transported through ships mind you.
You think Russia will sit idle while this happens?
What will happen to japans economy when it’s main market US and EU are no longer solvent?
Don’t worry about Japan it’s been on life support for decades.
“Don’t worry about Japan it’s been on life support for decades.”
That was a major consequence of and reason for the alchemy of turning gold into paper in 1971, and partly why representatives of Mitsui-Mitsubishi asked for and attended meetings with The Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union in 1973 and The Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation in 1993, to explore possibilities of using alchemised paper (US bonds), to finance materials required for creating/upgrading rail transportation network from Osaka via Hokkaido then by bridge/tunnel to Nahodka, then by rail via the Trans-Siberian Railway until Rava Ruska where a larger than presently existing transit dual guage facilities would be developed for onward transport on standard guages via Przemsyl, Silesia, Czechoslovakia and Saxony to East Berlin, the Soviet Union/Russian Federation investment portion consisting of energy and other materials to Japan.
In 1973 The Academy of Sciences were ordered by the Politburo to decline the offer and due to the perceived “China threat” and the Amur “war” concentrate on the Baikal Amur Railway (BAM), in 1993 The Academy of Science explained to representatives of The Mitsuibishi Foundation that the time was inopportune, but that the time will change as proved to be the case.
Japan is a colony of the U.S. and is a subservient to the U.S. The Japanese government and industry play off of the U.S. and Russia, knowing full well that the U.S. bases in Japan are prime strike targets for nuclear weapons. Russia will drop Japan to its knees simply by nuclear strikes on U.S. military bases. At that point, Japan will have to seriously consider if they want to confront Russia or not.
“Japan is a colony of the U.S. and is a subservient to the U.S.”
That is a widely held belief/myth.
“The Japanese government and industry play off of the U.S. and Russia”
No the banks which are incorporated within the zaibatsu networks tried to,
but industries within the zaibatsu did not/do not since they remember internment of Japanese “Us” citizens from 1942, the alchemy of 1971 and that Russian people and organisations are more culturally aware than “The United States of America” and most of their people
The Japanese government increasingly acts for and on behalf of the zaibatsu whilst appearing to be close bosom friends of “The United States of America” which they understand does not have long term viability, and which has consistently held them in contempt since the Meiji “restoration”.
Much of life in Japan continues to be informed by and lived through, aikido and kabuki.
Perhaps you relied on bar girls too much as sources of information ?
Still think the best course of action before Moscow hit DC and DC hit Moscow would be for China – Iran – Russia to close off the Suez Canal, Bab el Mendab, Hormuz and Malacca straits. That way the counterfeit Petrodollar reserve currency will be dead for good. Then destroy all of US/NATO military basis in Diego Garcia, Qatar base …, sink US/UK aircraft carriers in the region as a prelude before commencing a full-fledged nuclear war against NATO members, starting from Europe ending in N. America. However, most likely before all that happen, the very big Head of the Anglozionst family situated in the City of London will try arrange a man-to-man meeting with Russia. A smart crafty messenger like H. Kissinger representing the western elites may organize such a meeting, carrying in his pockets goodies like cash, yacht, mansion in the Riviera and of course 70 young virgins …
I think that man is loving all of this craziness, him and his predecessors are masters of this game. But, like all despot families throughout history, their time runs out.
I think that man is loving all of this craziness, him and his predecessors are masters of this game. Masters of what game everywhere America has tried to play the GAME it has got its shit kicked out and run away home
(him and his predecessors are masters of this game) Fek them/him never bet on any horse that he/they choose anyway they dont do the horses they like sure things like Wars where the arms industries pay them winnings in the tens of millions just look at exprime minister Tony Blair had no real money then along came Bush who said hey Tony fancy a war now Tony has well over a hundred million if you count all his propertys and of course his multi millionare childrens properties. Oh and parts of the middle east and Africa are devestated.
(him and his predecessors are masters of this game) A game you think the millions dead and mained and driven insane are all about a game no my friend its all about MONEY lots and lots of MONEY ask Zelensky if you can get the wee c u next tuesday in a room on his own a few towels and a large bucket of water oh and of course a toothbrush and a razor you know all purely for his abultions. I think I dislike them.
You mean to say the Russian officials of the Russian govt which owns multiple Tasrist palaces for use of their president and other officials are just looking for some taky hovels in reveria?
And a yatch? Russia stretches across 11 time zones. Plenty of wealth there and plenty of beautiful women.
And pray where will the jewery procure it’s virgins from? Saudi Arabia?
Back in Autumn 2021, it occured to me that Russian demands about their own security would never meet any attention from the West safe a dramatic, military show of force on their part. I didn’t figure out that it might be something of the scope of their “special operation” though. But dramatic as it is, it proved insufficient by any means, and Russian initial restraint in conducting war was interpreted as weakness and lack of resolution by the American hawks who readily upped the ante again and again in their support of Kiev, having finally obtained what they initially dreamed for : a slow-burning conflict that would ultimately drain FR’s forces and antagonize it against the rest of the world. Didn’t turn out exactly as they wished, especially regarding the economic theatre, but they have no plan B anyway, no alternative prospect for a world that they would not rule by themselves. Washington leads the posse, those-who-own-everything-or-at-least-work-hard-on-it aka the deep state pull the ropes and European leaders turn out to act as mere shills, henchmen vetted by Washington to administer their colonies. I bet the former live in total delusion of grandeur, bask in their own hubris, while the latter know better but lack the will or the strenght to change courses. Besides, EU works as an American leash in which European politicians conveniently put their neck, trading the illusion of power for their soul and the good of their own people.
Russia doesnt bluff – bluffing is an American strength! Only NATO EU 5-Eyes and Davos are not expecting Russian triumph in the SMO during 2023….. I have noticed in the past 3 years that the week after each Davos meeting brings changes in narratives and hikes in gas & diesel prices at the pumps so we should expect to see signs next week whether we get a new round of doubling down against Russia or if Brandon is now securely framed as the fall guy. Probabilities of keeping NATO whole are looking increasingly unlikely when the world learns of the magnitude of NATO forces that will be killed or captured around Bahkmut as Russian forces pour through the gap and roll up and down Ukranian lines from behind. Ordinary Swedish people I know do not wish to join NATO nor do they want to hand over kurdish neighbours to Turkey let alone join the NATO war against Russia so it would be a popular SMO ending demand for all western politicians & lobbyists behind NATO war on Russia are handed over to Russia for a new Nuremberg trial for funding & cheerleading genocide of slavic peoples since 2014
These psychopaths know exactly what they’re doing.

“Wars” depend on what each potential interlocutor thinks – not what one thinks.
Your notion that “WESTERN ESCALATION THREATENS TO WIDEN WORLD WAR III” is incorrect.
A number of potential interlocutors hold that this is the third phase of a war which started in 1914 or 1870 and never ended as intended by The Treaty of Versailles in 1919 in facilitation of the expanding “American Empire” through the tool of internal ethnic nationalism, but merely presented in different forms.
The core and continuing thread throughout has been the attempts of some interlocutors to control others by various means including but not limited to destroying their cultures.
The purpose of some interlocutors is to transcend coercive social relationships by social relationships based on mutual co-operation for mutual benefit; not differential benefit as is the case in relationships of co-operation by coercion.
One of the interlocutors the self-misrepresented “The United States of America” have used “sub-contractors” represented as allies as preparers of battlefields which “The United States of America” has entered when they assessed it as appropriate, the energy embargo on the Japanese Empire in 1941 achieving the desired outcome on 7th December 1941.
This was understood by some by 1969 and was/is a component part of the ongoing transcendence of “The Soviet Union” by the Russian Federation as are semi-independently through changing contexts the developments of the PRC from 1949 onwards.
This informed the notices of intent issued by The Russian Federation and The People’s Republic of China in December 2021 which “The United States of America” in fear not in confidence, chose to interpret as ultimata since such undermined the continuation of coercive social relations by which they were/are facilitated, and sought to use updates of old playbooks to sustain the coercive social relations upon which they are facilitated.
In skeleton form this was understood by some in 1969 and was/is a factor in the ongoing transcendence of “The Soviet Union” by The Russian Federation and part of why 2022 not 2014 was chosen for direct intervention , whilst other interlocutors chose to “understand” little if anything in public.
Some interlocutors from at least 1919 have sought to undermine rational thought by resort to emotion including hatred in hope of furtherance of sustaining coercive social relations upon which they are facilitated, whilst increasingly from 1968 other interlocutors have followed the advice of Mr. W.C.Fields and resolved to take the bull by the tail and face the situation – then act upon it accordingly.
None of the interlocutors of “The Unted States of America” are joking and have illustrated their resolve ; in the case of The Russian Federation this includes but is not limited to Presidential decree number 355 of 3rd June 2020.
Some interlocutors understand that their options are not limited to the nuclear, and that outwith professionals the spectrum from disgust to hatred of “The United States of America” is quite pronounced even with “sub-contractors”, hence the example of the Jewish lady welcoming people into their own homes and forgetting the salt, and in a previous thread, some taking coffee and cognac with members of the industrial nomenklatura in 1991/2 to persuade them not to and continue not to arrange the demises of “their American advisors” who came to explain to them how their lives to date had been “wasted” and offer them salvation, and ship the coffined “advisors” in the cargo holds of the Delta flights from Sheremetovo to Newark, New Jersey.
However it is also understood that “The United States of America” can attempt to commit suicide by attempting a first strike nuclear attack instead of facing the “ignominy” of not being “exceptional” by having company, and that all humans die at some point.
Another example that many will find implausible/unbelievable is this.
From 1969 onwards it was understood that the deaths of too many people would be counter-productive whose deleterious half-lives would be extensive thereby precluding/inhibiting the purpose of transcending coercive social relations by co-operative social relations based upon mutual benefit.
From 1969 onwards it was also understood that “The United States of America” were not only blinded by hubris, but also deemed the roles of “their” populations to be food sources and human shields, and that outwith professionals hatred of “The United States of America” was pronounced but dampened by lack of opportunity of resolution, and that some form of differentiation and perhaps protection of some of the population of “The United States of America” may be required, or at the very least they should be informed of the reasons of why they may die prematurely as a matter of good manners.
Mr. Martyanov may be able to to relate to you in restricted detail how his fellow submariners on various ocassions decided not to lauch nuclear weapons on “Us” targets and facilitate nuclear war, the motivations of which you may mis-interpret through projection.
Unfortunately the US, UK and NATO decision to send more weapon to Ukraine or Zelensky is will the last straw in this war with Russia. Therefore, the last resort for the Russian Arm Forces will be the total destruction of the Ukrainian country or perhaps the US, UK and EU will have to start sending the military air force to fight the Russians, which will be a disastrous war in the air space for EU and US. Hopefully, China will intervene as nuclear power and stop this destruction to come. Thanks Larry
“Therefore, the last resort for the Russian Arm Forces ”
If you want to live longer, stop speculating on scopes and things of which you have no inkling , and instead rigorously study the Presidential decree number 355 with updates of The Russian Federation of 3rd June 2020, and the texts of the notices of intent delivered to “The United States of America” and their component part “NATO” simultaneously by The People’s Republic of China and The Russian Federation in December 2021, and stop trying to rely on hopes as was the case until almost the last moment as many Jewish and other people did entering the gas chambers of Treblinka, partly facilitated by ethnic nationalisms contingent upon The Treaty of Versailles in 1919 in facilitation of the “American Empire”, as was Mr.Taylor’s Scientific Management.
I doubt Russia targets training bases which have minimal effect since they are highly dispersed all over the world. If you’re gonna attack NATO territory/assets, make it count… I would look for Russia to target ISR assets first which is by far more impactful. To include Satellites, Global Hawk Drones, AWACS, and radar sites in neighboring Romania and Poland. This would blind West in it’s war against Russia. Couldn’t see troop movements and Russia could execute a full bombing campaign and wrap this up pretty quickly. West can not fight blind.
I’ve been waiting for one of those big drones flying over Black Sea to suddenly lose contact with the base from unknown reasons.
It’s time for a Russian Shock and Awe show in Eukraine to let the DC Neocons know that their expensive homes might become no more if they keep it up.
My concern is an EMP attack, has no fallout and would send us into the a dark age.
@k.talaat – Don’t forget the garages!:-)
Since October 2022 I have been documenting steps that have been taken on the escalation ladder:
https://kwharbaugh.blogspot.com/2022/10/we-are-rapidly-climbing-escalation.html
World War III
Stage 1: Proxy War (Neo Nazi Ukie).
Stage 2: Direct and Conventional Warfare.
Stage 3: Nuclear.
For what it’s worth, here are my 0.02€uros.
The deep state is losing control. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you must but there was a grande plan to take total control of western countries and in insert a iron clad control grid for it’s citizens. Digitize everything and make everything and everyone depend on the electric grid and internet, i.e. make everyone 100% dependent on the system that we control.
Everything was set in motion, Hillary was to start a war with Russia, EU would join, using the ‘wartime emergency powers’ private gun ownership was to be abolished, digital ID’s with face recognition was to become the norm and cash would be outlawed. All in the name of “not aiding the enemy and making hard for opposing factions”. Anyone opposing any of this would have been declared an enemy of the state(s).
Then something came up that no-one in the deep state saw coming. Trump. This man literally fucked up the plan, that’s why every man and his dog in the establishment on both sides of the pond went apeshit. Media was set on overdrive bashing Trump 24/7 and all possible means were used to take him out. And still are.
I dunno if Covid was a plan B or a supplement to the original plan but it sure as hell tried to achieve pretty much the same thing.
I believe the profound hatred towards Putin and Russia is based on this plan, if they don’t manage a regime change in Russia and have them tag a long with the plan, Russia becomes a land of refuge. Not optimal but still leaps and bounds better than digital enslavement and tyranny of the WEF likes.
Now everything is going to shits. Truth is spreading on Twitter, Ukraine is losing despite MASSIVE disinformation campaign launched by the collective media, the covid-op went tits up, they couldn’t usher in the digi-IDs and vaccine passports in time, now there’s a race to try usher in the CDBCs before the fiat-system implodes but people are not having any of it anymore. People are starting to realize a handful of these WEF psychopaths are trying to control billions of people. And people are starting to see all ‘climate and health’ related BS is actually a stepping stone in this grande plan. Do you think they really care if your gas stove is causing this and that? NO! But they really hate the idea that gas and gas stoves can be stored, moved and used off the grid!
And all this planning, decades of it, dreams of their new world order is now going up in smoke. And not only that, ALL their lies are about to be exposed. Ukraine being a major one. If and when Ukraine falls, NATO has lost. Against Russia. People can’t even fathom how major blow to the deep state this is. Literally every politician, media talking head, armchair analyst, military spokes person will lose ALL of their face, forever! And this makes the situation extremely dangerous. Wounded deep state is trashing like a wild animal. And politicians usually prefer burning everything to ground that they can’t have. And in this case it’s the planet Earth.
Everything you said I think is true. Sadly enough!
But don’t forget. The goal behind all this is to reduce mankind to that ominous 500 millions to safe the planet. In their own mind the are the good doers who about to save mankind. And I am not talking about the banker, militaries, politicans and so on. I frankly admit that I don’t know the people behind this monstrous plan. But they are real and they planned and prepared for this for generations. And now they seem to think is the time.
And in their last desperation I am afraid they will risk everything they see neccesary to achieve their goal.
“Ukraine being a major one.”
A more major one was the conditional surrender between Mr. Karl Woolf representing the SS and Mr. Allen Dulles allegedly representing no one in particular, in the Bolzano region on or about 4th May 1945 in modulation/rectification of The Treaty of Versailles of 1919.
Terve Petri. Well, one couldn’t have a more Finnish name than yours, so I am justified to assume you may be Finnish. If so, then I’d like to ask wth has happened to Finland! Some of my best friends have always been Finnish, but they have all dumped me when I disagreed with them about the Finnish government’s decision to join NATO. Can’t we agree to disagree? Perkele!
It might be time to assess one’s proximity to US military installations, update the family’s survival kit, and formulate a plan to vacate if necessary to safer pastures, wherever one judges those to be.

Official Moscow repeated a number of times in 2021 and early 2022 that Moscow would respond to attacks on Russia with counter-attacks on those ‚giving the orders‘
I take this to mean NATO command and control centers such as Ramstein Airbase or geez even the Pentagon.

The situation for the United States will become a stalemate: The condition for a turning point in the special operation in Ukraine is named
Expert Shurygin: “The West in Ukraine makes a bet: either all or nothing”
On the air of Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, Igor Vittel and Ivan Pankin discussed the situation around Ukraine with a military expert, a member of the Izborsk Club Vladislav Shurygin.
– Washington is pushing Ukraine to escalate – has the US stopped being afraid of tactical nuclear strikes?
– They understand that Russia, most likely, will not resort to them. Firstly, a tactical blow will have to be delivered not one, or even ten. Secondly, the use of tactical ammunition in the current conditions will fulfill the main dream of the Americans – it will make Russia a pariah country for decades. Even our allies cannot justify us as the country that used nuclear weapons for the first time since 1945 – against a country that does not have nuclear weapons.
– That is, they are not pushing for a tough escalation?
Escalation isn’t quite the right word. Each side is trying to achieve its goals. It is desirable for the Americans to force Moscow to admit defeat and withdraw its troops. It is unlikely that they will try to influence the territory of Russia. But they will be satisfied with the “Desert Storm” option, when Iraq, which the Americans lured to Kuwait, received a military defeat and was forced to withdraw its troops. It was not occupied, but became a pariah for the next ten years while the Americans prepared for a second campaign in which they occupied Iraq.
– Does the fate of Iraq seem like a tracing paper to them in relation to Russia?
– Yes, but the difference is that then the Americans themselves fought, together with the allies. Now they use a proxy army – the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Which has to be armed as much as possible, because victory is not yet visible over Russia. Now the Americans and their allies are betting on a spring-summer offensive. At first they hoped that during the winter they would be able to defeat the Russians. In Kyiv, they promised to take Melitopol by the New Year, go to the Crimea, and by February 24, go to the line that was at the time the NWO began. These plans have now been rescheduled for spring.
– Do they understand that Russia is also strengthening its forces?
– They understand, but do their best to form a group. Two corps are formed, dozens of tanks are given, at least a brigade set. New brigades are being formed, similar to the Stryker ones, and weapons are provided for this.
They make a bet: either all or nothing. And they perfectly understand that if the next offensive attempt does not end with the defeat of the Russians, then further prospects for Ukraine become very vague.
– Do we need to hurry?
– Undoubtedly. We are now redoing everything from the wheels. We started with a compact professional army, which turned out to be small for such a NVO. Now we are building up powerful forces, building up industry. If by the summer we reach a level of military supplies that exceeds everything that the West can give Ukraine, then this will turn the situation into a stalemate for the United States. Russia will then begin to digest the territories, moving further and further inland. And it will become important for the United States to simply stop the Russians and negotiate, even with the loss of reputation for themselves.
– What’s the other option?
– If we do not agree with anyone and continue to digest Ukraine for another year, when Ukraine will remain, at best, a stub that has no strategic significance. And the entire Black Sea coast, the entire left bank of the Dnieper will turn out to be the Ukraine that is controlled by us.
– Zelensky demands security guarantees from NATO – is this a formality?
– It does not matter. What guarantees can be given to him? They give him tanks, artillery – these are the best guarantees that they can give him. Nobody will fight for him.
– But the Poles said they were ready to enter.
– The Poles never said that they were going to fight with Russia. They can come in when Ukraine is falling apart to take back their Lvov and a couple of western regions. But the Poles do not plan to seriously fight with Russia.
The Poles would end up fighting w/ Russia b/c
1. The US would probably bribe them to do it
2. Poland = NATO and having a real and hostile NATO member in Ukraine is at least as bad as having a de facto and hostile Zelensky regime in Ukraine (from Russia’s perspective
3. Stereotypes usually exist for a reason (e.g. block headed and stubborn)
A short piece, but going to the core of what’s likely to come if the cooler heads fail to prevail in the Republic, hopefully the military, the fighting phylum of the Armed Forces, not the political clowns at the top, thank you Mr. Johnson.
The Bolsheviks would have never deployed nukes, not even in retaliation, they knew of the communist system fragility, it would have collapsed within days if not hours, exactly what happened, no single group of people, no individual, no institution, not even the KGB the only functional entity with real power, stood up for it in 1991.
Contemporary Russia will not hesitate to to deploy nuclear missiles, Putin will push the red button because the vast majority of the Russian unwashed are behind him, it’s this that matters in the end, it’s something one can hardly say about the Western plebeians who’ve had enough of woke progressiveness.
” The Bolsheviks would have never deployed nukes, not even in retaliationthey knew of the communist system fragility”
The “Bolsheviks” who were always mensheviks until the mensheviks were disposed of to prove a point, knew that they did not have a communist system/country, but they had a system of coercive social relations of varying intensities and scope which some held was from the Party Conference of 1903, initially convened in Amsterdam then reconvened in London (What is to be done by Mr. Lenin refers which is a good indication of how the “Bolsheviks” perceived the narod/people) whilst other “Bolsheviks” in confirmation found the attempted assassination of Mr. Lenin by Ms. Kaplan being a more plausable belief as the catalyst of “Red Terror”.
That the system was not co-opertative/communal to achieve mutual benefit was understood by increasing numbers of the population from when the RSDP(B) faction in the Petrograd “Soviet” voted to increase their own food rations in time of increasing hunger in December 1917 if memory serves – the evidence being in the archives of The Russian Federation which are under the control of The Office of The President of The Russian Federation and no longer freely available, and in due course this facilitated/facilitates the ongoing transcendence of “The Soviet Union” by The Russian Federation.
Nuclear weapons were not an option until 1945 and The Soviet Union (Bolsheviks) through co-operation had built and deployed a limited number – 4 if memory serves – by 1947 although some believe 1949. The nuclear doctrine of “The Soviet Union”(Bolsheviks) and The Russian Federation has always been deterrent never first strike.
“Putin will push the red button ”
You know nothing of the nuclear doctrine of The Russian Federation including but not limited to that manual pushing of a button is not required to launch any counter-strike, and that the system does not require the usage of micro chips from washing machines to be operational.
Mr. Putin as a representative of a collected leadership de jure has the authority to launch a counter-strike, but de facto may not have the opportunity of doing so and hence the system not based on micro chips from washing machines
“exactly what happened, no single group of people, no individual, no institution, not even the KGB the only functional entity with real power, stood up for it in 1991.”
Very few “stood up” for “The Soviet Union” because in myriad ways they had been busy undermining it for at least 20 years, including by remembering to take string bags to work just in case they saw something interesting in the market to take home.
@ MIRROGAZERS:
The USSR didn’t have nukes in 1947, it’s first test of an atomic bomb by the Soviets took place in August, 1949, no delivery system though, google for it.
“The USSR didn’t have nukes in 1947”
Thank you for gobbling the hook with limited bait.
“The Soviet Union” had all of the necessary designs and materials including test data from the Manhattan project in 1947, but they were busy fighting a war with proxies of “The United States of America” and “Great Britain and Northern Ireland” simultaneously in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine and Poland mostly achieved to an acceptable level by 1947, did not have access to “The Marshall Plan”, and hence much of areas invaded by the “Greater Reich” were undergoing reconstruction partly with the help of “Axis” prisoners of war – one example being the city of Minsk whose centre was well built primarily by Austrians and Germans as can still be seen today, and so the process in respect of the Soviet atomic bomb was delayed by more significant immediate concerns, then returning concentration to other matters and “going public” in 1949.
The unnecessary bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 was largely to act as a warning to “The Soviet Union” which had recently largely defeated “The Axis Powers except Japan” although the “allies” had agreed that “the Soviet Union” would participate in that defeat primarily through invading Manchuria which they did successfully.
It didn’t scare “The Soviet Union” but that the “United States of America” believed that it did was useful in facilitation of other matters as was the “Star Wars” kabuki.
This may not be what google says, but that in skelton is what the archives which used to be more accessable say, which possibly informed the notices of intent delivered by The People’s Republic of China and The Russian Federation to “The United States of America” and it subset “NATO” in December 2021, which “The United States of America” sought to misrepresent as ultimata despite their corroboated ignorance in matters diplomatic, perhaps to “stir their (possessive case) populations”.
Look on the bright side – you can believe that you broached the secrets of “The Soviet Union” since when in the shit, after a while even Mr. Stalin told the truth despite being prone to oscillations with his “allies” after the March 1943 Meeting of the Imperial General Staff with “guests” excluding Russians who did not receive an official notification, but did receive information from some friends.
A few years ago Google photoshopped the attendees of the March 1943 Meeting of the Imperial General Staff with “guests” and included some “Russians” whether that remains the case is likely as significant then as it is now.
It’s not about balancing losing or winning. No one threatens the West with genocide to steal their land and wealth like the conquest. The Western world should only demobilize the international robbery gangs, forget about global looting and get to work honestly living off their own efforts. Without using trickery or bribes.
esattamente! tutti a casa.
The best thing russia now can do, is pour cold water over the western leaders, pull its ambassadors out of west european countries. Call up more reservists and make an open statement that russia is preparing for retaliatory strikes. And that If escalation continues. Nato soldiers will go home in body bags. And actually prepare for war with nato, and let the Russian army take offensive positions along the border with Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
And defensive positions on the border with poland.
But actually let rusdia openly prepare for military action against nato countries.
And send the west a actual diplomatic message they can not mis understand.
Tell them straight out that russia is willing and able to start military operations against nato in a matter of hours if it further escalates.
But make absolutely sure they can not explain it differently or misunderstand it.
As you have to understand that western leaders are like todlers. You have to tell em straight out that if they stay naughty, “the toddler” will receive punishment.
And that if they want to gave a world War. It can start today
Earth to Larry, since when has the Biden Administration appeared rational to you? One only need look at the Asistant Secretary to Health to know insanity reigns in DC. I thought the theft of Russian assets was bad. Then I was amazed when they blew up Nordstream. Everything they are doing is counter productive and weakening NATO and the US’s standing in the world. I’m on board with the weakening and destruction of NATO. I’m sad that my country is in the hands of lizard people who have zero interest in peace and prosperity for Americans or anyone else except the lizard people.

LUGANSK, January 20. /TASS/. Two out of three soldiers injured in the zone of the special military operation succumb to their injuries in Ukrainian hospitals because they did not receive medical assistance in time, a Lugansk military expert told TASS on Friday.
“According to intercepted information, coming from Ukrainian military doctors, only one out of three injured servicemen survives. Approximately 25% of all survivors are disabled [for life],” said Andrey Marochko, a military expert and a retired officer of the Lugansk People’s Republic’s (LPR) People’s Militia.
He said that between January 16 and 20, around 1,500 injured servicemen were admitted to Ukrainian hospitals from the operative zone of the Second Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces.
“The majority of patients died as a result of untimely medical aid, blood loss, unhygienic conditions, disrupted logistics and other negative factors,” he added.
In other words, Ukraine’s losses are colossal.
We already know what our ‘gubmint’ is ‘doing’ while our country is being invaded and destroyed by the cartel’s, they are helping them.
I wrote a book titled “End Game: The Coming Geopolitical Realignments” in 2007 and published in 2015. The book explains the emerging geopolitical scenarios in great detail. There will be no WW3 until certain aspects of the global realignments come to pass.
Russia will prevail in this war.
Europe will bifurcate into two parts – Periphery Europe and Euroland.
USA and the periphery Europe will merge into a new supranational entity – a reformed North Atlantic Alliance.
Russia and the Eurasian nations, including China, India and Iran (possibly) Middle east (minus Israel) and the Levant will consolidate the emergence of the Eurasian supranational entity under the aegis of Eurasian Economic Union, SCO and BRICS.
Interesting times ahead.
Placing AA in a city center is a very bad idea as the 404 forces demonstrated again recently. This is not shifting gears , this is a message. It reads “we know you are desperate , if you dare shoot at us , it will fail and have unintended consequences.”

The fact that Russia is deploying Pantsir AD systems on the roofs of buildings in Moscow means that they are expecting an attack. I think that the neocons will go for it.
If a missile is seen heading towards the Kremlin or the Russian MoD HQ, how are the Russians supposed to know what it is? It could be a nuke or a “dirty” bomb – they would have no way of knowing until it went off or was shot down and the debris examined. Seems like a good way for someone to get a nuke in return.
Here is a side splitter. Russia, who refuses to unmoor itself from tradition and sanity, needs help from the West in figuring out its future. The arrogance and stupidity of these people knows no bounds!
https://www.rt.com/news/570162-macron-west-russia-search-destiny/
Zelenski said that he thinks Putin is dead. He damn well better hope not because Medvedev won’t be pussy footing around.
The weapons shipments from thevUS, UK, Germany and Denmark will do absolutely nothing, its all the theater of the desperate.
I think many are starting to see that the act has gone too far.
It is becoming evident that people are dying for no legitimate reason. The Donbas has historically been Russian and even if Russian forces withdrew the Nazis would still be waging war against the Russians that live there until they are all annihilated.
Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the EU, made an emotional plea to EU leaders that they should give Kyiv any weapon that can be used there. In Germany thet are calling her Ursula von der Leichen, Ursula of the Cadavers.
US seems to be trying to destroy Europe as well as Russia, with Europes enthusiastic cooperation
Meanwhile, Washington has refused any peace negotiations and instructed Zelensky to fight to the last Ukrainian.
Zelenski is fast becoming a liability, for him, a penthouse in Miami or London, then he will have a peaceful heart attack in his sleep courtesy of the CIA before he starts getting chatty.
150,000 dead Ukrainians, for what?
This is beyond madness.
As I’ve been saying for months, The Russians are stupidly walking right into WW3 via their very own strategy of “slow grind” instead of “shock and awe” victory in Ukraine. All this pussy footing around has given NATO time to work itself into a false sense of confidence that Russia does have the military strength or competence to win decisively on the battlefield and that it can be bled dry over time; which, in turn, leads to all of the NATO doubling down and escalation.
A quick decisive victory would have been an intimidating fait accompli that NATO would have had to learn to live with; kind of like the “loss” of Crimea.
The longer this drags on, the higher the probability of WW3 with the scenarios you outline.
whoops. Should have written
“All this pussy footing around has given NATO time to work itself into a false sense of confidence that Russia does NOT have the military strength or competence to win decisively on the battlefield …”
A quick decisive victory like USA had in Afghanistan.
LOL, totally irrelevant except to prove that you are an overly sensitive, America hating, Russia fanboy. Is that you, Andrei M., in disguise?
Of course. I’m sure Andrei M. thinks about your sorry ass all the time. I assume it’s your ex boyfriend, and that you won his heart quick and decisively as usual.
Ok, Sonny boy, “A quick decisive victory like [Russia] had in Afghanistan?”
(huh?, you know…just saying, snarky no brain etc. etc.)
Was Afghanistan before or after Russians learned to be 5D chess masters? Thinking it must have been long after b/c alleged 5D chess playing in WW2 strategy is often cited as a baked in cultural – maybe even genetic – trait.
Russians were never into quick and decisive victories. That’s the whole point. Shock and awe is what USA did (and is still proud of, inspite of losing eventually). Nowdays USA shock and awe it probably some eufemism for compulsory drag show for children. Either way it’s exceptional.
So you’re saying that Russia didn’t lose in Afghanistan because, you know, Russians don’t care about timelines or territory? Like they just fell back to Russia to re-group and they’ll be back to Afghanistan to win the war?
Because otherwise, the 5D chess players definitely had their asses kicked by the muj after definitely invading that country to expand empire.
But sure, maybe they’ll go back and win. There’s always hope, huh?
America? Which part? Uraguay? Chile?
Ah, newhill, the foot in mouth gift that keeps on giving.
It seems to me that the the non-USA Americans finaly got fed up for not being counted as Americans, and decided that all of them should move to USA. God bless the American people, and their determination to become USA people.
USSR accepted a loss, and left the country in a better state than USA did. USA ran away Saigon style, left chaos, and still pretends that it’s a glorious victory (that you are proud of). You need to lay of the Kool-Aid for a bit, and clean your own backyard before talking shit about someone elses.
People like you are the reason most of humanity dislike USA citizens. Those chess playing Russians don’t have their coutry filled with illegal immigrants and sodomy. You do, in addition to many other great things like national debt, and biggest prison population in the World, and daily shootings of various kinds (with more civilian deaths than there is in Ukraine). I would say that their future is brighter than yours. You are mocking chess players while struggling with checkers.
Whose to say the shock and on isn’t on its way?
“Who’s to say” or “Who is to say” — not “Whose to say.” Man, learn your homonyms. This is not English 101.
Apparently it is English 101. But at my age you really don’t give 2 you know what’s. My sincere apologies. Do you feel better now?
Large number of people on the Internet do not have English as their first language (including myself). For some of them this is English 101 of sorts.
Just like Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam, it isn’t clear that we have defined objectives in Ukraine and that the objectives are remotely achievable.
The publicly stated objectives have been variously stated by different leaders as “Punishing Putin”, “stopping Russia from “invading Western Europe (which doesn’t even seem to be Russia’s plan)” , “going back to the pre-Feb 2022 lines”, and “going back to the pre-2014 lines”. This incoherence makes miscalculation highly likely.
This place is marvelous. Larry’s article is incredible. But the quality of comments? Jesus, they are great. I never know where to start. Russia won’t nuke over Crimea. They didn’t when the Kerch bridge was hit. If a missile came out of Ukraine, and hit Moscow? As long as it wasn’t a nuke. Russia won’t go nuke. And even then. They would nuke Kiev. Moscow has a lot more sense than we do. And as I said before. No big arrow offensive. Just that spreading ink blob World War 2 map. As it slowly, slowly, slowly grinds up Western military assets. As it kills every Ukrainian that can be drafted at gunpoint. As Ukrainian internal dissension grows. As the US economy falters, and people start bitching about the Billions going to Ukraine. As even the Pentagon starts shifting from “Hey more fraud and graft from military contracts to Holy Shit we are out of shit” mode. And our echo chamber aside? Note how mainstream articles about Ukraine are dying out. Moving off page 1. They will slowly back away from the debacle and carry on. Look at Covid? You know? The disease that would kill us all if we didn’t wear a paper mask? Just kinda goes away.
Curt,
I disagree. I think the “slow grind” gives the west time to concoct counters and a false sense of confidence in its ability to “bleed” Russia dry, which, in turn leads to escalation. The more doubling down the west does, the harder it is to one day simply throw up its collective hands and quit. One such counter would be to get the Poles all excited about moving into Ukraine.
The counters don’t need to be smart or ultimately effective. They just need to be perceived as “doing something” and giving Russia a headache. My theory hinges on the idea that the leadership in the west is corrupt and incompetent (reasonably safe assumption given the evidence).
I guess we’ll see in time which of us is the better soothsayer. I hope, for all our sakes, it is you.
Always a pleasure to read your comments Eric. As you say, time will tell. And of course, circumstances. It is funny how the “Butterfly Effect” ruins all of our plans.
Curt,
Likewise.
You know, Murphy’s Law is a factor too. The longer the situation drags on, the more opportunity for some random/unforeseen screw-up that “forces” escalation can occur.
Curt. I would be remiss in critiquing a possible error in your grammar. It is not ” kinda”. Do not want to upset the English Major on here. Apparently Kaz just might prefer you to use “kind of”. Sorry just trying to redeem my prior English mistake on an earlier thread.
The U.S. Deep State thinks it can win this upcoming nuclear war. WFH (work from home) is part of the nuclear war strategy.
STEM centers (AI and engineering businesses and labs) from Cambridge, Massachusetts to the Bay Area of San Fran lie vacant and these valuable cognitive assets have been distributed (WFM) so they’re not clustered and vulnerable to annihilation in a first wave of nuclear strikes.
I enjoy reading Larry’s posts.
On this one, I will have to say that there will be no WW3.
Russia will prevail over Ukraine.
This will result in bifurcation of Europe into periphery Europe and Euroland with the former join a new North Atlantic Alliance with USA/Canada and the former joining (out of necessity) Russia and the Eurasian community under the aegis of EurAsian Economic Union, SCO and BRICS.
(I wrot ethis in my book “End Game: The Coming Geopolitical Realignments” – written in 2007 and published in 2015.
My red flag for when the dookie hits the fan is when Moscow recalls all diplomats and families back to Russia. That will likely be the last, obvious warning that Russia sends to the West.
Russia has played their hand very, very well. Slowly grinding down the Ukraine forces and patiently waiting for the West to come to their senses. With the cancellation of those 23 treaties I believe Russia has signaled they no longer have political patience and therefore will not be displaying any military patience. Russia no longer feels they have any obligation to the West nor will they encourage any future interactions, financial or other wise with the West.
We can only hope that the first use of nuclear tactical weapons by Russia will waken up the Europeans and they will give the U.S. a farewell wave and take a wiser approach to working with Russia. It is a given at this point that Russia will not go to the West but the West will eventually go to Russia and for the first time in years listen to Russia.
Nope not WW3. Some more useful idiots will be offered up on the table. Correct me if I am wrong but did the Minsk Accords have a signatory on it by the US? If not let the spin begin. I smell an out and the dumbed down masses currently glued to Fox or CNN can easily be manipulated as per usual. If I am Germany I sure would not be that dummkopf to send one more tank. Maybe send that Mud Wizard fellow.
Apart from the Mexican cartel (the usual cliche), imagine if the Russians got hold of Canada. My God, it would be a million Bruce Willis’ infiltrating the USA as jackals aka his movie 1997. Heaven forbid. They would destroy the neocons, neoliberals, democrats, and republicans, and civilise the USA.
I disagree: event an attack on Moscow or St. Petersburg will not trigger a unilateral Russian attack on a NATO nation. Not unless the attack was launched FROM a NATO nation.
Putin and Lavrov understand very well the difference between a proxy’s attack vs. the principal attacking directly.
While Ukraine is a transparent proxy for NATO, it is still legally a proxy. There is zero motivation or benefit for Russia to test the rest of the world’s agreement on whether Ukrainian actions are a direct extension of NATO; it isn’t like China or Iran are going to send troops or attack NATO.
As Ukraine is not a NATO member I am in doubt of the “legal” status of the actions of the NATO countries much less that Ukraine as a legal status as a proxy. NATO has let its nose get stuck into this Ukraine/Russia conflict and thus far, all of Europe has lost and lost a lot.
With the termination of numerous Euro treaties with Russia, Russia has little interest in the legal status of Western Europe.
If and when the withdrawal of Russian diplomats and reciprocal closures of western embassies is the final warning, then the rest of us should be ready for nuclear Armageddon.
Opinions vary from pundit to pundit as to if we are in WWIII, I tend to think that we are but just do not know it. We will know we are in WWIII when the Russians do a “shock and awe” on the U.S. That shock and awe will be against a civilian target and not a military. Attacking a military ship(s), sub(s), base, etc. tends to annoy the Pentagon and they are very likely to escalate and strike back. The U.S. population, where the most of us strongly support our military will not bat an eye at our retaliatory strike on a foreign aggressor.
However, while a sinking of one of our naval carriers in a far away ocean will certainly irritate us, there is no shock and awe to that. Yes, we will be dismayed about the loss of approximately 5000 American lives but it is a limited strike by Russia on a carrier group that would certainly escalate to an out of proportion retaliatory strike by the U.S. and lead into the possibilities of world nuclear strikes. Not good for anyone.
The shock and awe, the event that will make America step back and take a look and think strongly about its world participation, will be a strike on an American city. A strike that quite frankly could come from the newer nuclear torpedoes in use by Russia. A detonation off the coast of New York City, the ensuing flood, and the devastation would sober up America pretty fast. For the first time, we get to feel the pain we have caused others. Personal pain never sets will with Americans.
That level of destruction with lower levels of radioactive fallout will force America to rethink its strategy. For the first time, we will understand that our country can be attacked and the destruction will be beyond imagination. We will ask ourselves do we really want to escalate or do we want to back off. We will finally understand that by our escalation we will only bring more pain to ourselves and that we are better off to back down and lick our wounds.
I see a scenario where once this shock and awe event takes place in the U.S., Europe will back down and do so almost immediately. They will realize they are next and the tenterhooks are sharp. Putin has no desire to “waste” Europe but understands the most straight forward way for Europe to regain its senses is to separate it from the United States. Once Europe removes the U.S. presence and NATO from its borders it will fare much better as nation of States and economically.
On August 12, 2000, the Kursk nuclear submarine was lost in the Barents Sea.
It was the most powerful, the most-the most at that time Russian submarine – our pride. 150 sailors died.
There were several versions. The version is closer to me that the strike on Kursk was inflicted by a torpedo (whose?).
It’s only been six months since Putin became President. He could not answer the question: what happened – except to say: “She drowned.”
It was a “shock and awe” for the Russian people.
Putin has not forgotten. Couldn’t forget.
22 years have passed….
I completely disagree with everything you write.
Sinking a US aircraft carrier is 100% a casus belli for war – and one of the few things that might trigger the US population to support full mobilization.
Shock and Awe is a stupid American term used to describe a 1st world military destroying a low 2nd to 3rd world nation. It is meaningless in either diplomatic or military terms.
@c1ue – Really? 100% reason for war and mobilization?
Well, then, before Russia attacks, the Pentagon itself will sink its own ship in order to have 100% reason to attack Russia. How it happened on 9/11.
On the other hand, I do not understand how general mobilization will help the United States if the theater of operations is on the other side of the Earth. Russia is not going to seize the territory of the United States in order to feed 300 million Americans later. It is easier to destroy the entire continent if Russia is not left alone.
Lower nations, you say? Read out the entire list of lower nations, please.
Alleged patrol boat torpedo attack on a lowly US destroyer – no damage done – was used as a cause for war in Vietnam. I too am very sure that an actual sinking of a pride of the fleet carrier would do the trick.
Those that want a war will start it without a cause. Those that want peace won’t start it even if they have one.
The current US federal administration is not only waging war against Russia via its NATO and Ukraine proxies but also against its own citizens via wokism and open borders policies. The latter has destroyed almost all patriotic allegiance that most Americans felt toward its government and now a large cohort of the country is more likely to side with Russia in this conflict. This is evident in the recruitment deficiency by all the US military services. No one wants to fight and die for Brandon.
Our government is now behaving recklessly and creating a real possibility of nuclear war with an peer adversary that strike back in equal measure. This insanity is fast approaching a clear & present danger to all Americans. Those of us who still think that voting harder and muddle-through mentality is a viable survival strategy are now also accessories to this madness. At some point, we are going to have to clean up our own house, one way or the other, before its too late.
Thank you for your analysis. Your point about the likely shuttering of embassies as a prelude to escalation makes complete sense. In light of the current insanity from the US and NATO I fully expect Russia to have as many of its strategic ducks lined up as possible before it moves to land a?knockout blow on the ground in Ukraine. We have already seen the launching of the Admiral Gorshkov hypersonic missile ship and the announcement that advanced torpedoes were being placed on the Belgorad submarine. Putin referred publicly to the production rate of air defense missiles dwarfing that of the US. One thing that has not occurred is the announcement that the Sarmat strategic ICBM has been deployed. That could occur at any time now.
Against this backdrop the NATO meeting with its weapons announcements and renewed belligerence creates the perfect pretext for Russia to drastically reduce diplomatic contacts just as it is withdrawing from its European Treaties. One wonders if NATO planners have a clue about how ominous this situation is.
Russia may well believe that the only hope of controlling the situation is to be make it crystal clear that they are prepared for any level of escalation in the hopes that a few sane players on the other side will restrain their more insane brethren. Advance positioning is probably the best way to do that.
After all can we not speculate all day that’s for sure?
And It really doesn’t matter what we think in the West.
While a good position could be made no one in the combined West is thinking at all.
What does matter, however is what Russia thinks about being constantly badgered by the combined West.
Russian is/has emerged as the dominant world superpower in absolutely in every aspect including basic human morality.
We have become a degenerate society allowing ourselves to be ruled by a brainless demonic horde of pedofile creeps. So then, who are we to even attempt estimating anything about anyone.
Some things can be wash clean and made usable once again. While others reach an impossible condition where only fire can cleanse.
I think Medvedev speaks quite clearly and for the most part articulates the position of the Russian Empire.
https://laroucheorganization.com/article/2022/12/26/medvedev-writes-west-incapable-negotiations-whence-danger-world-war-iii
“the Russian Empire.”
Since The Russian Federation is not as stupid as their opponents there will never be a Russian Empire although one did exist until 1917.
The Iron curtain?
What is Wagner doing in Africa and the MENA?
Cuba? Africa circa 1950 – current, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, non-Iron Curtain Europe, Latin America…..the F’ing Russians, as Soviets, were everywhere trying to spread their putrid ideology and influence so as to absorb more susceptible countries into their sphere. That’s not empire building? 1991 to current they were too f’ed up to have the power. Now they’re at it again as a kinder gentler Russia, the “victim” defending themselves in Ukraine. There is some truth to their outlook on Ukraine, but honestly, if succeed in not only ceasing Ukraine, but defeating NATO/US utterly, then Russia will be the new empire builder and all those hating on the US will switch to hating on Russia – old boss/new boss.
Russia does what is best for Russia. Good on them. That’s what they’re supposed to do. The US does what’s best for the US. Sadly, the US – along w/ Europe – has recently become incompetent and excessively corrupt at doing things.
All else is cartoon level assessment for dummies. Especially for social justice dummies with iPhones and the like, produced only due to slave labor in mineral mines in Africa. I bet there are Russia lovers/America haters on this very site w/ such phones. It’s all BS.
Oh fuck off and die newhill, you are an ignorant cnut. You have outlived you welcome. The only putrid ideology is the US exceptionalism that you champion and your war criminal thick son served.
I don’t know if Eric is trolling or not. I understand your frustration. Try to address him on substantive points. That said, I’ve responded to some trolls in the same way. I’m guilty as well of over reacting.
seem like someone took over ‘eric newhill’ account and posted constant nonsense.. it is obvious he is trolling people while pretending to see ‘so many russian haters’ in this forum..
never before i saw eric newhill’s posts like these , it is like a totally different person posting.. or maybe this is the REAL eric newhill and the previous eric newhill is just pretender
now that this troll showed his cards , time to discard everything he posted in here or everywhere else
Trying to address trolling on substantive points is commonly know as feeding the troll. We are all guilty of it, but it doesn’t solve the problem. Deleting all the junk does. People don’t come here to read nonsense, at least not too much of it. 🙂
Not trolling. We have already had a multi-polar world. That was the Soviet Union and USA 1945 – 1990. The Soviets lost out in the Cold War. They drove their own country and empire into poverty and ruin and then simply collapsed, allowing for criminal oligarchs to arise. What a mess. Hardly up to the quality of the founders of the USA. No 5D chess playing in Russia at that time.
But the facts are that the Soviet Russians were all over the globe trying to spread their ideology, selling weapons, fighting proxy wars, covertly trying to install governments of their liking, offering economic programs to developing nations, etc. The Soviets held most of Eastern Europe in an iron fist.
That’s history. Sorry if it doesn’t match your idealized myth of Russians as walk on water, 5D chess playing, pure white as the freshly fallen snow, saints.
Then again, I am certain that there are a lot of people here who are committed socialists who just don’t want the truth about their crappy ideology and current heroes (Russia + China) discussed. In which case it is they who can fuck off and die as far as I’m concerned.
But this is not my blog. I thought we wanted to discuss objective reality here. If not, I don’t want to be a bother and will merely read the articles without comment.
Discussing objective reality with a Liberal is impossible.
Buntalan,
It is the same me.
It is possible for me to see the terrible flaws in the US – which are growing and deeply disturbing – to see that Russia is winning in Ukraine and will win – and yet also see the flaws in Russia.
I despise socialism and other totalitarian systems. I am an American of the USA species. I love freedom. I think capitalism, while flawed, is the best system give the imperfection of humans and my love of freedom. I think the USA’s Constitution, which I swore to defend, is the best ever written. I am somewhat student of military and political history + human psychology (and a few other topics). I do not need to buy into any narrative hook, line and sinker b/c narratives are never 100% true; not even close. Lately I have become disappointed into the all or nothing, black/white thinking here. If we think Russia will prevail and the US and their lapdog Ukraine are corrupt, then Russia must be most excellent in all facets, is such a narrative. So is US military are all criminal murderers, but Russians, al qaeda, Taliban, etc are all righteous and their killing is approved by God on high. These are very silly perspectives and there are propagandists that want us to believe them. I will not be propagandized.
Note that I am capable of critiquing my country. When the subject of China comes up, you defend them tooth and claw and cannot admit their flaws. That is telling, to me at least. Same for Russia fan boys here re; Russia.
If there are IO accounts here, it is you and people like “grr”, though I think you are highly intelligent and grr is most likely just a low level fanatic dupe of the college coffee house socialist variety
” non-Iron Curtain Europe”
Oh Mr. Newhill, you are trying to be a rascal.
Even Mr. Churchill knew that iron curtains required two sides to exist and perform their designed purpose.
There was no such thing as non-iron curtain Europe or Iron curtain Europe only curtain width iron curtains from Stettin in the North to Trieste in the South.
Mr. Churchill was quite precise he meant that an Iron curtain of curtain width existed but he was not so good on geography or history or rhetoric but that is a separate subject – the soft belly of Nazi Germany was Italy ? – He did mention Stettin which is on the Baltic Sea and Trieste (which was the primary port of The Austrian Hungarian Empire) – two ports.
I admit he didn’t understand his mistake that since both ends of the Iron curtain abutted the sea, anybody could sail around them if they had access to ships, a very strange mistake since allegedly Britainnia ruled the waves, but then he was a land soldier spreading something or other for and on behalf of The British Empire, and like “The United States of America”, The British Empire was never united; Her/His Majesty’s Service was often at logger heads with The British Army which was largely made up of Africans, Indians and others fom the non-dominions, and of course as Her/His Majesty’s Service was/is well aware through experience, planet earth is roughly spherical.
I hope the above further enlighten your load or loads if such be the case.
Serious question, Buntalan
When the PI government kills members of Islamic groups in its ongoing fight against them, is the PI government criminal murders?
But when the US kills Islamic terrorists that attack us, our troops are murderous beasts.
See how that works?
Of course some propagandists are clever enough to see that problem. So, in order to get around it, they go on to concoct and disseminate conspiracy theories about how 9/11 was perpetrated by the US government itself (ignoring all of the other attacks by the same terrorist group). And susceptible dupes buy into the whole narrative b/c they have personal issues and are not good thinkers.
But the Philippine government and troops – murderers? yes or no? Shouldn’t they just let PI become Moro land again?
Oh, and I should add, for posterity sake, North Korea supplied with all that Soviet weaponry and training, including MiG fighters, for their attack on the South
Sorry if you want to revise history and I’m not buying it. You and your pals are idiots. It is funny that you criticize American propaganda so much and then come right back with equally delusional; crap to support your own fantasies.
Looking for your mom.
“The Iron curtain?”
The iron curtain was invented in the period of public gas lighting in theatres but not the cinema or television since they hadn’t been invented, to hang behind the front stage curtain behind the proscenium arch after a famous fire which caused many deaths.
The purpose of the iron curtain (which initially was made of iron but was found to be too heavy) was to delay fires in theatres long enough for the audiences to escape, unlike the Titanic which left on its maiden voyage with a fire in a coal bunker conveniently situated below the water line next to an incomplete, but important bulkhead, apparently to avoid Lord Imrays blushes – like Boeing it didn’t work.
“The United States of America” were initially loathe to make the necessary investments or legislation in respect of iron curtains, given that bars on windows in factories were not unknown, and many “threatre goers” and factory workers tended to be recently arrived immigrants, although later immigrants tended to be attracted to the “new” silent moving pictures” with no sound, since they were cheaper and easier to understand.
Mr. Churchill was a regular theatre goer in his younger days but ruomours had it thjat he attended more regularly the Music Halls where entertainment was to be had not limited to the stage , although sometimes in boxes over-looking the stage when the curtains of the boxes not of iron, were drawn aside.
Hence he apparently immitated his youthfullness of less than unbridled naughtiness, since that would be emulating his father with known adverse results unless you were wholly reliant on newspapers printed on white paper, and avoiding cruel assertion of “Like father like son”, by making reference to an iron curtain falling from Stettin in the North to Trieste in the South in some place called Miss ouri I heard in 1946 – possibly he felt piqued, not drunk though since he had plenty of practice in such matters, about losing the election in Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 1945 -whilst showing that he was a good student when his interest was piqued, but didn’t find chemistry so piquant but was attracted to alchemy, so throughout his premiership he relied on scientific advisors, whilst some scientific advisors had additional sources of income and interests.
I don’t want to overload you with more information, since I deem the above is sufficient for you to believe/feel that you are being taken seriously and shown the necessary considerations there upon, and perhaps if you are ever a participant in a television quizz show the above may prove useful if the sponsor agrees.
However I do want to take this opportunity to wish you every success in your endeavours including curious ones, and hope that the above information enlightens your load.
Noted that you think life under the Soviet Union was fun and games and generally seek to avoid talking about it because your narrative has massive fatal holes in it.
Thx though for proving my observations about some of the people commenting here
Just to reiterate my comments in Helmhotlz’ previous post…Ukraine’s fall/defeat will be the likely”casus belli” for some (but not all) NATO countries to enter into a direct conflict with Russia…there is too much at stake for the US hegemon to simply concede. It really will be interesting to see just how many NATO countries will actually join the US in a fight against Russia (UK, Poland and the Baltic States)…conversely, it would be interesting to see how many countries would join Russia (every US sanctioned country).
US/NATO escalation is indeed “irrational” and “dangerous”…but look who’s running the US and EU…dangerous and irrational politicians.
I have fought on three different continents…I’m glad to sit this one out…maybe I’ll run into Helmholtz or Larry at the liquor store…we can get drunk and watch “Rome” burn…I’m partial to tequila.
re: “the way the West is reacting is not rational and certainly is not based on any strategic vision”
I posted this on another thread but I think it’s worth repeating:
America is engaged in what Professor Alfred McCoy calls “micro-militarism”, which is completely irrational and a sure sign of its decline as it desperately tries to maintain its global empire in the face of a changing world order.
This is an excellent discussion with Chris Hedges and Professor McCoy from a couple years back on RT:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=WmYfqbFeS6o
There’s a chance I think Russia won’t do anything. If the West is escalating now by sending Patriots and soon to be F-15s, tanks and what not…
if Russia responds with an offensive and defeats those forces, then what? Going on to landlock Ukraine and link up Transniedstra?
That would be viewed as overreaching and easily ratchet up tensions for serious war across the world. Besides, Russia would have to administer a whole bunch of areas that just sucks away resources.
The other option- the slow grind and defensive operations seems to work better. At the end of it, there’ll be nothing left in the West but nukes- then what? A short armistice treaty, while Europe buys weapons from US for a next battle I guess, like the Minsk agreements.
In the interim, there’s a chance to save lives, change governments, build up international alliances and policies…
Besides, if the West were to really enter Russia proper- that would really put Russia on the moral side of offensive operations: to reclaim lost land. Similar to Ukraine’s narrative now.
I think Russia should stick to its objectives- liberation of the Donbass and defending the recently obtained territories.
–>”how the United States would react if Russia was arming Mexican drug cartels with weapons…”
I’ve said the same thing to any number of Americans, and the response is always, “well Ukraine is different, and Putin is a thug.” The sycophancy of the typical American is breathtaking.
Ditto. I get the same response as well. I think what disturbs me the most is the “Putin is a thug” responses come from some of the most intelligent, educated and professional people I know…people who apparently have spent too much time watching CNN.
“Educated” just means they have learnt to regurgitate what they have been told; similarly “professional” just means they get paid to behave in a certain way and play by “the rules” – whatever they are. As for “intelligent” – either they’re not as intelligent as they appear or their intelligence is very selective and limited to certain areas.
Same response I get from supposedly smart people.
But, you know, it goes both ways. It’s a weird aspect of typical human psychology. If people don’t like something or someone, for whatever reason, they tend to completely 100% demonize and assign all kinds of undesirable attributes. Whereas if they do like someone or something then they put it/them on a pedestal and it’s damn near perfect. People think in black/white all/nothing terms. They don’t do nuance well.
We have people here that actually believe Russia is constantly playing flawless 5D chess, will save the world, etc. and that the USA is a concept straight from hell and led by Satan himself and always has been. It’s ridiculous hyperbole on both sides (Russia haters and Russia lovers) and antithetical to sound analysis.
Back at the beginning of the conflict NATO shills, even President Biden himself, outlined goals including: weaken Russia, topple Putin, denuclearize Russia, and decolonize Russia. These all pose existential threats to the Russian state and fall under Russian nuclear doctrine. Instead of understanding basic nuclear deterrence, they called it “nuclear blackmail” in order to advocate endless escalation. During the Cold War, not being deterred by nuclear weapons was considered a madman scenario, something only religious zealots or political extremists could indulge in. I’ve felt this amounts to a guaranteed catastrophe ever since. Russia won’t simply go quietly to its own destruction. Little has changed for the better. Watching the parade of morons (Sanna Marin? Yikes) at Davos spout elementary school level platitudes about this war and try to out-do each other at further escalation was more of the same.
NATO has long asserted this conflict is existential for the alliance. There’s no good reason for this of course. But now it’s backed itself into a corner.
Interesting times
Does anyone care if DC becomes a target by Russia militarily? I’d hate to see our historical buildings destroyed, so perhaps a surprise hit by a neutron bomb, with secret warnings to our saner folks in DC to get out of there on time? Be nice if they got Brussels too. It would spare the rest of the world, no? Or is this a sick immoral idea? Talk me out of thinking like this if you think so. Just know, I never cried over Nazis killing themselves in the last days of their bunker.
Bombing the capitol of a nation, or its leading religious houses is usually a “no-go” for major nuclear powers and large nations. Those two targets will generally set off a strong patriotic response from the citizens. That response tends to lead to drastic and nasty actions. I expect that DC and Moscow would rather not go down that road as a start, might end up that way but not as a start. On the other hand, a rogue nation such as Ukraine is not beyond such action and can be expected. The Ukrainian leadership (if one dares to call it leadership) is so faulty in their thinking that nothing is beyond them.
The Pentagon is doing nothing to prepare. There has been no mobilization. Moreover, if the US military planned to do something, it would spend weeks evacuating its thousands of military family members in Europe because our massive military cities in Europe are a top target, and a massive waste of money.

As a warning .In the first punch wipe out Israel, City of London and Wall Street Bankers . Then US/Nato bases in Europe . Then if that does not do the job go all in with NBC weapons Europe and North America.. I will jump in my loaded prepared VW Campervan and head for my lay up place deep in the back country of BC to wait it all out. There goes the expensive Canadian housing market. Good thing is C.Freeland Trudeau OUN-B Banderite nazi captured Gov. of Canada failed to take the guns away from Canadians.
The Poles will be thrown directly at the bear first as a test. We are being lead by women of the kind that think manipulating weak “friends” into beating their faces against the fists of an enemy is a great show of power.
The U.S is advising Ukraine to pull out of Bahkmut to concentrate on Melitopol…which is a springboard for cutting off or invading Crimea. Poland will stream East while NATO /U.S streams out of Romania… concurrently to take Odessa and seize some coastal ports for the soon to be partitioned Ukraine and also to put pressure on Russian defence of Melitopol to aid the Ukrainian offensive
The Russians are just making sure what happened at Engles airbase twice, does not happen in Moscow.
If Ukraine wants to attack Moscow, it will do so and there is little Russia can do except try to defend. Of course it is goodbye to the Maidan square then, as well as many other places.
I’ll try again, as my posts don’t go through lately, don’t know if I got banned or not, but here goes:
Read Pepe Escobar’s latest article on The Cradle:
https://thecradle.co/article-view/20532/global-south-gold-backed-currencies-to-replace-the-us-dollar
The western BS banksters are in the same ‘existential’ crisis as Russia feels it is in. The difference being that the ROW of Asia and the Global South are on board for a new global financial trading system. And the BRICS+ are going to provide it. This is existential for the western banksters. They are done, and they know it. Even if they somehow prevail to keep the Nazis in power in 404. The future is without their garbage fiat currency. It is written in the stars.
Read Pepe, on the Glazyev/Pozsar vision of a future global currency plan. It WILL move forward, as the most of the global population wants/needs it. It WILL happen regardless of the filthy western banksters. It is truly game-on. As in, existentially, for the west: US/UK/NATO/Switzerland – all of the garbage money schemers that have been in charge for 75 years plus. They have lost, and this is their farewell. Or good riddance, as it really seems.
The war is economic and existential for the western elite. The shit is real now.
The end.
R5+ WILL be the future global currency, as the western scum will collapse, it’s just to see how many they will see killed before they are finally gone for good.

a Quote from Alastair Crooke,
“The inability to admit losing force our elites to prefer the sacrifice of their own people, rather than having their illusions exposed…”
“…This conundrum, however, places a huge burden on the shoulders of Moscow and Beijing, who must manage the escalating war cautiously in the face of a West for whom losing is intolerable…”
i full agree Mr. Johnson. I think that ww3 was inevitable after 2014 but know it is. I hope there can be some type of regime change in the USA to prevent this; even the colonels and majors of the us armed forces intervening to prevent their own destruction.
Mr. Johnson; i hope you can appear again with Mr. Lira.

The great Gonzalo Lira is back again. In this awesome interview kindly share with us by George Galloway:
Kyiv installed three defensive lines but the Russians are gradually grinding through them, explains GonzaloLira.
Soledar, which has fallen, was the penultimate town of the penultimate defence line.
Interesting comments :
“1. Ukraine population has dropped from 31 million a year ago to a quarter of this number, with 16 million abroad (working and being absorbed) and 7 million annexed by Russia. Add to that 150K dead soldiers and about 450K permanently severly damaged more soldiers, and counting quickly. UA lost some 25K soldiers dead in Soledar alone from July 2022 till date. A similar number is being flanked en-route to encirclement in Bakhmut/Artyomovsk.
2. The Ukraine’s crisis in Donbass is primarily logistical, due to the Russian devastation of the Ukrainian electricity manufacturing and grid across the land halting the logistics.
3. The gas-pipeline named Druzhba (friendship) leading from Russia via Galicia and transcarpatia to Hungary, and from there via Austria to Serbia (Russia’s sister by all means and for all purposes) is going to come under Russian control with boots on the ground.
4. Since NATO confiscated about 650 Billion USD nearly a year ago from Russia, all Western properties in the Ukraine shall be confiscated by Russia.
5. The Russian contingency army including in Belarus is predominantly poised to deter and eventually stop NATO invasion to Kaliningrad, Balerus and other Russian territories. Many thousands of NATO troops have already perished in UA, including many poles, Americans and brits in particular. Also many Georgian (Caucasus) tropps died e.g. a brigade in Bakhmut/Oputne.
6. It is also claimed that UA bridges cannot hold the 66 upto 75 tonne heavy Western tanks.
7. Poland and Japan rely on Russian gas.”

Larry would love to hear your thoughts on the AWOL soldier killed in Ukraine according to times.com its all over Twitter just 30 mins ago.
It seems there is a measured incremental response by both sides….very incremental feeling around for the trip wire in the dark. NATO…in particular U.S armour is pouring into Europe still…the latest disembarking in the Netherlands recently…..it was operational units of the U.S army…not surplus units for Ukraine….. Canada sending a couple hundred …that we know of wheeled APC and another 39 super bison ACSV suggests the American bloc of NATO is pushing for escalation…..the donated Bradley and Stryker units as well as M109 SP howitzers will be actually be mixed with these U.S units to hide the fact it’s actually a boots on the ground escalation IMHO….the promised German tanks are needing refurbishing at the factory….needing a year minimum and the rest of European armies maybe excluding Poland seem not very eager for conflict on their continent….again.I believe Russia is very slowly advancing actually on purpose….a massive penetration would probably initiate a unpredictable and illogical response from a psychotic unpredictable U.S administration. While the last defensive positions built over the last 8 years falls piecemeal to Wagner light infantry units…..light Airborne units and Chechen Spetsnaz units…..where are all the Tank Armies hiding out. Pantsir and Tor units are very publicly being deployed all over Moscow to let the West see tangible escalation.
“… where are all the Tank Armies hiding out(?)”
The devil, it seems to me, resides in that detail. I’ve been trying to come to some sort of plausible answer to that question for some months now to no avail. We hear all sorts of numbers and see all sorts of videos from all sorts of sources, but nothing to pin a conclusion on.
As you say, we see lightly armoured assault teams disassembling UA’s Maginot Line brick by brick while we’re told that a mass of men and materiel ghosts around in the rear and another one ghosts around in Belarus.
One wonders if that mass is really there, or alternatively if it isn’t 2x the ~500k troops most pundits seem to think it is. Given Russia’s maskirovka doctrine, they and their eqpt may well have been dispersed through the Donbas and Belarus countryside to be brought together when the order comes down to attack. OTOH, they may be nothing more than that multi-km convoy that sat north of Kiev in the Spring without moving, and then vanished when whatever its purpose was had been fulfilled. I’ve read accounts saying that the convoy was in fact a line of empty trucks used to pin Kiev’s defenders in place.
One recalls all the snap drills the Russians are fond of pulling, where >100k men are activated without warning and drilled for days. One such drill helped mask Russia’s stealth reclamation of Crimea. Will a similar snap operation bring the 500k together overnight to go on a massed offensive while we’re all staring at Bakhmut, or Dnipro, or some other battle de jour?
As Sun Tzu said, “All war is based on deception.” The Soviets carried that forward into Deep Battle Doctrine, connoting the active shaping of the enemy’s forces and plans. That’s what we’re seeing in UA, and why we’ll all have to just wait and see.
Well said. In the modern day & age it’s impossible to move troops in secrecy and make a surpise attack. What’s still possible is to confuse the enemy by moving troops around. Russians have been constanly moving troops for more that a year. No one knows what they are actually doing, and I guess that’s the plan. If random people on the Internet can guess your next move, then you are a bad General.
The West have been constantly expecting big Russian offensive. I expect it to happen only after West stops expecting it. 🙂
Recently Russians made a surprise attack in Zaporozhie region. No one predicted it, and we still don’t know if it’s supposed to be a big push, or just misdirection. We’ll just have to wait and see.
P.S. If anyone is interested
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_military_deception
“Recently Russians made a surprise attack in Zaporozhie region.” The focus from both sides has been on the Soledar-Bakhmut-Seversk region, with the AFU stripping assets from all along the front line to hold those towns. When the tide turned there in Russia’s favour, the Russians started pressuring the entire Donbas line.
There’s a lot of discussion about what the Zaporozhie attack means, but standard Soviet battle doctrine calls for pressing the enemy all along the line contact, looking for a breakthrough. If/when some part of the enemy’s defence line yields, reserves and armour are poured in to secure the breach and then onwards in force into the enemy’s rear. IOW, it need not be a pre-planned offensive to become one on the fly.
The Russians haven’t forgotten that doctrine, so we’ll see if it fits with the more general plan to secure the 4 new regions.
I’ve only mentioned Zaporzhie events as an obvious example of “we wait and see” situation. Nothing special about them in any other way.
It’s not only that Russians haven’t forgotten their doctrine, but at the end of phase one of the SMO they announced that phase two will be done “by the book”. Ever since, most of “people on the Internet” have been expecting some Hollywood style offensive. I guess they haven’t read the book, but only watched the movie.
I assume this is BS as I think it’s Kiev TV, but it does fit with Russian Maskirovka doctrine.
Of course, hiding troops in tank cars makes no sense when they could outfit ordinary box cars quite comfortably enough for the journey.
https://t.me/RVvoenkor/36577
I don’t speak the language, but I understood that they claim that Russians are transporting troops in fuel/water tanks in order to hide them. It’s not like they could transport them in civilian clothes in regular cars. This is on “taking chips from washing machines” level. 🙂
Modern war is all about logistics. Troops require all kinds of vehicles to function. Hiding soldiers makes a little sense, since their number can be estimated by the number of vehicles deployed, and you can’t hide those in fuel/water tanks (though I have seen one Russian fuel tank truck masked as wood transport truck 🙂 ).
@just saying
Ooops.
Instead of “box cars” I should’ve used “boxcars”, namely the big enclosed wagons used for rail freight. I didn’t mean civilian automobiles which would be awkward indeed.
Troops normally go by rail, so disguising them as freight seems to make sense.
I know what you meant. I don’t think it’s worth the effort messing with freight cars instead of using regular passenger ones (with optional curtains over windows), or even those with beds (that must be very common on long distance routes that Russia has). All of those troops are mechanized, and would have their vehicles transported on some open train anyway.
It reminds me of Putin’s white trucks to supply the Donbass. At the beginning that was the extent of western denial of the state of war between eastern and western Ukraine from the beginning. Starve them, shell them, rocket them civilians, but that’s OK, because the greatest manifestation of Sun Tzu’s precept of the Art of Deception is that there is no war there at all, until Putin invaded.
Just finished listening to Col MacGregor interview and he thought that the Russian “invasion” would be between Jan 21st and Feb 8th which is when there is minimal night illumination…….
The elites’, due to their psychological profile will never destroy the world they wish to re-order and rule if it means personal sacrifice. Honour, duty, loyalty are just words that need to be erased, denigrated or used as manipulative tools, not principles to be personally upheld.
Governments are just stages where actors now fool the audience by performing stories written for them. Nuclear devastation and the concomitant destruction of wealth and power, that has taken decades to amass, is highly unlikely to be playing at a theatre nearby. Perhaps when they have perfected Ray Kurzweil’s`Singularity’ Is the time we should get really nervous.
Destroying the world is based on Carl Sagan’s nuclear winter scenario that is not actually accurate. No a full out nuclear exchange will kill off most of mankind in fireballs and subsequent collapse of society but the earth will be barely scratched….these elites actually believe in the scenario that they will survive and be a chosen remnant…. probably crawling out of their deep underground bases….the true expenditure of all those missing trillions of dollars
I guess the Ponzi scheme is coming to an end, and the mask is off, where the hell are the good guys
i found this interesting . references the article mr. johnson did above on how the leadership is being possibly forced into open war.
another good show on biden being maybe blackmailed to bring in world war 3
The Daily Nationalist: Is Biden Being Blackmailed? – DN 011923
Sven Longshanks and Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson look at the surprising media coverage of Biden’s possession of classified documents.
The Hunter Biden laptop contained far more compromising evidence than these documents, yet the media ignored that entirely.
Are they now highlighting the documents in an attempt to manipulate Biden into full military support for Ukraine?
Various reports are now surfacing showing concerns that without that further support, Ukraine will lose.

I just recognize the fact that, by its own admission, we have a post-honor officer corp.

https://republicbroadcasting.org/news/us-marines-defeat-darpa-robot-by-hiding-under-a-cardboard-box/
With all the talk about nukes, I thought to have a quick look at how the US command system that authorizes a nuclear strike works. The primary points are:
– the POTUS has the sole authority to command a strike
– Strategic Command, the Joint Chiefs (Pentagon) and Congress are in “the chain of communication”, but they cannot overrule POTUS’ order, nor is there any mechanism to reverse the order once given.
https://sgp.fas.org/crs/natsec/IF10521.pdf
That’s rather alarming because there is no de facto POTUS. Or, more accurately, we don’t know who controls the 2G animatronic crash test dummy code-named “Biden” that’s occasionally been presented as POTUS to the public.
All we know is that:
– the dummy itself lacks assessment and decision making functions, and
– the mid-wit ideologues surrounding him don’t need no stinkin’ assessment before making a rash decision, but
– we don’t know if said mid-wits could emulate a POTUS command to launch
The upshot is that if a nuclear attack order issues from the nominal “Office of the POTUS”, it seems that all we can hope for is that some downstream commander, whether due to presence of mind or lack of discipline allows the the order to languish long enough for the crisis to pass or for cooler heads to prevail.
I don’t like the odds of that hope materializing.
Anyone can overrule and reverse Biden just by replacing his cheat sheet. 🙂
All the POTUSes I remember were puppets, with the only difference being comedic value. Even Putin said that he has noticed that, in his meetings with different presidents, those behind them stay the same. The first one I recall was sending Stinger missiles to terrorists, so that they could kill Russians. Here’s fotage of him in the White House (with nuke at the end):
https://youtu.be/Yq7FKO5DlV0?t=288
I don’t see anything specially alarming about the current puppet. One just need to learn to stop worrying and love the bomb (or whatever the name of the movie was).
“They’re all puppets” is too simple. Some POTUSs definitely had agency. The two most recent would be Obama & Trump.
An animatron has been placed in the POTUS position precisely because he has no agency. One naturally concludes that the “Deep State” put him there because they required that the President’s office be effectively vacant at this time.
How does the STRATCOM command structure work in the absence of a President? I have no idea, but it sure looks like they’ve taken it out of the hands of one man and have (presumably) set up a committee to make such decisions.
So as regards nukes, his placement is as likely to be a safety measure on the part of the Deep State as it is an indicator that they’re keeping open the possibility of a first strike.
Their agency was more “for show” than “for real”. Obama’s agency started this war in 2014 (and the one in Syria too), instead of closing Guantanamo Bay or whatever he was promising. His agency turned out to be full on “Deep State”. Trump’s agency continued all the wars (he even ordered missile attack on Sirya “because of suffering children”). He turned out to be nothing more that a distraction, and changed nothing (as expected).
I’m sure that “Deep State” would prefer someone that is not obvious animatronic, but they are stuck with this one and can’t just replace him over night (but it seems that they are working on it). The replacement would sign whatever they tell him/her/it to, just like all the others did. Would you feel more safe if they were to replace him with Kamala Harris, or whoever is next in line?
POTUS became an Imperial position long ago.
I’d submit that Obama’s moves in 2014 were in the Empire’s interests, just as the CIA’s sponsorship of the UA Nazis post WW2 was in the Empire’s interests (and in the Germany’s interests post WW1). Starting a civil war in a rival is what Empire’s do. That says agency to me.
Trump’s attack on Shayrat Airbase in Syria was political theatre for US allies and domestic US politics. The Empire and POTUS were seen to act, even if the punch was (rather obviously) pulled. Sometimes, a little theatre is what it takes, and Trump kept it in the theatrical domain. That says agency to me.
OTOH, it is not in the Empire’s interests to start a nuclear war with a nuclear peer. Under STRATCOM protocols, starting a nuclear war requires the decision of a single individual, the POTUS. I’m all but certain that both Obama and Trump would view it as neither in the Empire’s nor the nation’s interests and would decline a first strike.
What makes the situation dangerous is that Biden has no concept of any interest beyond (perhaps) his own. If the one man who can decide is mentally incapable of understanding what he’s doing, it suggests he can be persuaded to do anything at all. Unfortunately, we have little idea who controls him or what they think.
Mexican cartels don’t need weapons from Russia; they have enough money to buy weapons in stores in the US border states; It is the Mexican army that needs better weapons and better training and this is not provided by the USA despite the thousands of Americans killed by drugs.
“…despite the thousands of Americans killed by drugs.”
If they cared about that, they would have targeted pharmaceutical industry first.
WWIII might not involve nukes:

US and vassals wont be able to counter the russian retaliation if they escalate this into more than just proxy war. This is bad time economically in the western alliance and it is a divisive society inside US proper that wont be easily fooled into supporting a war that no one wants
#2
if there is escalation , it is highly probable for russia to use EMP detonations all over CONUS disabling US electricity and electronic devices thus rendering US as a nation ‘dead’. This is not a first strike (nuke) as they wont be destroying any cities , usually EMP detonation will preceed a nuke strike but i foresee this is the ‘low cost’ way to disable US as a nation without resorting to nuclear first strike.
after this EMP detonation the russian will monitor any launch of SLBM/ICBM and if they detect any will retaliate with their Nuclear strike into CONUS. EU will be spared if they dont launch against russia , though i foresee UK will be destroyed too because of US nuclear arsenal / SLBM forces there.
#3
IF the US do not retaliate from the EMP Attack then they will have a choiice of initiating a non nuke WW3 against russia along with their vassals. But in this day and age they will have severe problem trying to enact a military draft with capable and fit people.
It is best for USA to retreat back to their own borders and stop playing empire game , in the long run this will save US a nation.
alas i foresee the arrogance and the pride of the so called ‘leaders’ in US wont allow this to happen and they will seek revenge by military means including nuclear strike and this will led to total destruction of CONUS.
After that destruction , Russia + China + Free Europe will be the center of world stage and other nations will be roped into economic survival based on a real new world order (without US)
this is bad case scenario but i think the most probable due to the insanity of leaders in US led coalition
DISCLAIMER : THis is not a ‘hate america’ post , this is just an observation based on what transpired in the world today.
Your EMP theory has neglected all of the nuclear weapons on submarines. Also those in Europe – nuclear weapons that would certainly be fired at Russia following an EMP burst.
Maybe not an overt “hate America” post, but certainly an “Americans are stupid, vulnerable and easily destroyed by superior Russians” post. Something Andrei M would write in his bourbon induced lopsided hyper pro-Russia cockiness. If Russians actually think as you do, then it is they who would stupidly plunge the world into nuclear holocaust. Fortunately, I think real Russians – ones that actually live in Russia and run things – know better than that.
The fact is that no one knows how a nuclear escalation scenario would play out. The scenarios are very complex and any number of mechanical issues, process flow and human decision making aspects can go wrong in a myriad of ways. Even if they don’t go “wrong” responses to signals are still unpredictable. It is shame that we have to think about such matters.
IMO, which is not worth any more than yours, is that there would be no deliberate nuclear war until after US/NATO combat boots on the ground in Ukraine are soundly defeated/killed en masse. Those boots on the ground is a way off (this summer) and may well never happen. If they are introduced in theater, it will take months for the Russians to inflict large losses on them – the US problem would not be a superiority of Russians, but rather logistics/supply. The Russians may avoid doing that to the extent possible and the boots may only be used to protect Odessa and maybe Kiev. IMO, cooler heads would probably prevail on both sides in that – operative qualifier being “probably”. That said, there is always the risk of wild card decision making on either side and, more seriously, the risk of misinterpretation of signals with scant time to re-assess, resulting in a nuclear response to a non-nuclear attack.
“I don’t know if Eric is trolling or not. I understand your frustration. Try to address him on substantive points. That said, I’ve responded to some trolls in the same way. I’m guilty as well of over reacting.”
Yeah, point taken; sorry Larry. My bad.
Ignoramuses trigger me.
And you have arrived at this Great Guru of Perfect Unquestionable Knowledge status how exactly? Please, share with us your background; your experiences. Please tell me that it extends beyond selective YouTube and Google searches.
Well I will tell you what I have not done, which is something you have done.
I have not shacked up with a low rent crack whore and sired a piece of shit war criminal.
What I still find astounding is the popular Western rhetoric that Russia is having great difficulty in advancing, giving the speed of the advance as evidence, when Putin is on record as saying he considers Ukrainians his fellow Slavs and is consequently trying to meet his stated goals while minimising civilian losses.
The corollary of this is that he harbors no such brotherly love for other Europeans, or indeed Americans………
Brain teaser for Larry Johnson and followers.

“2014 Coup “Maidan”
Why the designation of “Independence Square” resplendent with an “angel” on a pedestal at the Kreshatik end adjacent to the entrance to the metro station and the post office, was designated Maidan is interesting.
Maidan was a designation given by various regimes in the Indian sub-continent, subsequently adopted by The British Empire in India (including Pakistan before that supposed accident of partition and hurried retreat caused apparently by lines on a map drawn by one with limited experience of India and maps , not as fast as the retreat of “The United States of America” from Afghanistan though but causing more “casualities/unexpected consequences since supposedly they meant well.
Some interpret Maidan as market or a large public space, whilst others want to encourage interpreting Maidan as agora, but these did not represent a large section of the congregation when the Jewish lady dispensed plain bulki to “locals” whilst forgetting the salt.
I’m afraid there were some less than complimentary remarks even with a racial bias including.
Another “middle aged lady” interpreted into English
Fuck me that is the first time a Zh*d gave me something and didn’t ask for the money –
uncouth but quite a popular conditioned response since anti-semitism did not end with The Pale of Settlement as some have understood with dismay and experience.
Too bad that there are no skill testing questions for nuclear war.
The art of deception here is that NATO was not lining up to take the shot after NATO expansion, for a nuclear first strike against Russia. The art of deception is that there was never any war there until Putin invaded Ukraine. The art of deception is that there was no war there and no deception on the part of NATO, and NATO expansion to Russia’s border was peace and light, and ABM missile bases in Rumania and Poland were a defence against Iran, and not for first strike against Russia. Missile bases in Ukraine, a racist anti Russian hostile state, would present no threat to Russia if Ukraine was admitted into the ever-loving North Atlantic Treaty, again the art of deception.
The art of deception is war, and it was Merkel, Macron and Poroshenko lying to Russia’s face at Minsk 2. If the art of deception is war, IT IS WAR!
The art of deception is that people totally accept the idea that NATO is not utterly hostile to Russia. But for some it is all for the money, and the arms trade. That’s why they all laugh and shake hands at these meetings, because the money is pouring in, and nuclear war is for sh-t-hole countries, not them, so they have deceived themselves, and are even at war against their own intelligence and conscience, which they have defeated, in their ignorance of nuclear war.
It’s more like the farts of deception because the smells should give it away, except people may so lack zinc and suffer COVID, that they have completely lost their sense of smell.
Larry is also incredibly right about the danger of a Ukrainian strike at Moscow, completely based on statements of the most rabid Russophobes, who spin off into la-la land, fantasizing about killing Putin.
It wouldn’t be so bad if Hollywood was on our side, and some production geniuses would produce speculative works about the real up to date costs of nuclear war based on the best science, as well as the illicit science of those dreamers that constantly dream up potential speculative first strike plans based the latest technological improvements. They did that in the 60s with “On The Beach”, “Dr. Strangelove” and numerous other productions, with iffy science, that probably grossly underestimated the worst case scenario, or based it on totally wrong premises. The consequences would have been vastly worse.
Stephen Spielberg and Michael Moore, where are you?
Maybe Larry doesn’t want to scare me, but his speculations are true to the form of all the USA regime change expertise practiced to date, and now these idiots think they can do it to Russia, a nuclear power, without burning up the world, or freezing it in a nuclear winter.
They might think Russia will turn the other cheek after a nuclear or conventional missile strike on Moscow by Ukraine? Putin would have to respond and the Russian public would demand a strong response. If he was killed, it would likely be worse.
I think I’ve mentioned Jacques Baud’s name here before. That in addition to knowing physically the theater of operations and its problems since EuroMaidan until the outbreak of war, where it served in NATO and OSCE roles – offers a much broader political picture of the conflict than mere military conflict. In the same way that I consider the economic analysis of someone like Michael Hudson fundamental for us to know what we are talking about when we talk about the conflict in Ukraine. Finally, Jeffrey Sachs himself, as a political economist for the US establishment at the UN and a consultant to several governments in the region – Russia, Ukraine and Poland – since the dissolution of the USSR, is a very interesting voice! Even in the way he blames the enlargement of NATO despite the connection to various US Administrations. It shouldn’t have been such a peacock! The three admit far beyond the purely military issue. Which I also think is not what worries the Kremlin the most. Otherwise this conflict would have ended a long time ago. Much to the chagrin of many Keyboard Generals.
Even if all the nukes fall in Russia humanity will be toast due to fallout, nuclear winter, no crops, no water, etc, etc. “The living will envy the dead”. If you believe nuclear war is winnable, think again. Russias know it, Americans not so much.
I agree that we’ve been in WWIII for a long time and I don’t even understand how this war that was from the beginning designed to involve the whole West on one side – even if it’s also to fuck Europe – can be seen in another way?! And just look at how the West is now more isolated than Russia, which it wanted to isolate, to realize that the whole world is involved in the conflict in Ukraine. Still with very own nuances.
Like Russia continuing to sell gas and thousands of barrels of oil and/or derivatives per day to the West through third parties like India, the big seller of Diesel to Europe and the US and with the hypocrisy that Larry mentioned – are we just supplying weapons?! How was this supply viewed by any of the contenders in WWII? On top of that, at a stage where they are supplying weapons that they swore they would never supply 6 months ago?! It really remains to know the scope of these weapons to understand the level to which we are going from WWIII! Where we shouldn’t continue to escalate for the good of our own species but this war is unfortunately not just existential for Russia and Ukraine. Which, to say the least, no longer exists.
The good news is that we stopped listening to the WEF greens warmongers in Germany with the arrival of the new Defense Minister! Who must be counting the Leopards now! With some beast tamer from the circus! And with a rally of wealthy ukies refugees who bribed border guards to flee Ukraine in their BMWs. And how useful they were at the front now. In the Great Patriotic War in Russia even the women counted!
Larry I have been saying the same thing for weeks – “why does the US feel invincible when Russia can bomb any US city in minutes and wreak holy hell down on North America and Europe?”. The idiots in North America, and I specifically mean the USA and Canada, not Mexico, are very reckless and may well be the Walking Dead. They are going to find out that taking on Russia with China fully supporting and cheering for Russia will be the end of the USA. This arrogance has to stop and I think it will only stop when the USA is attacked and punishwd in North America. No one can run and hide in the world nowadays based on distance.
Russia Holds Drills Focused On “Repelling Air Attacks” On Moscow

If you’re just looking at Ukraine you are not looking Strategically.
[Regrettably] –
On the Strategic Map Ukraine is an Operational Level Reconnaissance in Force.
The United States has been marching towards Moscow since the 1990s in the Balkans interventions.
On the Strategic Map the USA has crushed all NATO dissent, admittedly at the cost of exposing NATO and the EU as vassals and not sovereign, but the Europeans don’t seem to mind. On the same map America is re-industrializing at a rapid clip and in a few years Russia’s advantages of preparing and stockpiling for war over a decade will be overcome. This doesn’t save Ukraine, but this doesn’t matter to America.
Even on today’s map what is of vital importance to the United States – Germany and after that the UK, France and the other administrators is safe from Big Bad Bear.
If Germany keeps playing nice we might even let Germany re-industrialize again, at present what German firms survive are relocating to CONUS as are Taiwan industries, not just chip fabs but machine tool die manufacturers.
Re-Industrializing CONUS defangs MAGA and the populists of any cause they care about and consolidates our wealth in the core, as well as our industries being rebuilt in America. The luxuries of geography are indeed plentiful.
Now the only thing Russia can do to really reverse all this that Russia alone controls – again Ukraine is laughably irrelevant to America – the only thing Russia can do to end it’s long term plight today is really, sorry, MAD.
And as it happens Super-Fuses on the Trident Missile SLBM give USA the real first strike capability. Russia knows.
Super-Fuse allows SLBMs enough accuracy to take out the bulk of Russia’s nuclear forces, the land based missiles in hardened silos that Russia placed it’s bet on.
As the Sub Launched missiles are hitting in a mere few minutes, the Russians might lose most of their ICBMs before they could launch given their short warning.
Russia bet on ICBMs, we bet on SLBMs.
The above makes nuclear war a different proposition than MAD, a winnable, evil but possible option.
If I were to say something to the elites and they listened, I’d tell America’s elites you can have a shattered, poor and probably partially radioactive earth, but you give up space by choosing Earth.
[Regrettably and all of this is evil and psychopathic, and utterly unnecessary].
