Why is Ukraine’s Armed Forces Commander in Chief Zaluzhnyi doing a media blitz? That is the fascinating question given what he told a reporter for The Economist (UK), which was picked up and republished by Turkey’s Anadolu Agency:
The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said Thursday that there will be a new offensive against Ukraine’s capital by Russia.
“According to our estimates, they (Russia) have a reserve of 1.2-1.5 million people … the Russians are training about 200,000 new soldiers. I have no doubt that they will make another trip to Kyiv,” Valerii Zaluzhnyi told The Economist magazine.
Zaluzhnyi rejected claims that there are problems in Russia concerning a lack of will to fight. “Russian mobilization worked. It is not true that their problems are so serious that these people will not fight. They will,” said Zaluzhnyi. “I studied the history of the two Chechen wars — it was the same. They may not be as well equipped, but they are still a problem for us.””
Concerning the mobilization in Ukraine, Zaluzhnyi said that additional measures of this nature are not needed. The Ukrainian army has enough people, but not enough armored vehicles and ammunition.
Based on this, Zaluzhny actually made it clear about the next goal of the Ukrainian offensive – this is access to Melitopol to take control of the land corridor to the Crimea under fire control.
https://www.economist.com/zaluzhny-transcript

Count me surprised that Zaluzhnyi is not parroting the talking points commonly heard from President Zelennsky and much of the Western media. For instance, he acknowledges that Russia has a numerical advantage in the number of trained troops deployed to front-lines and rejects the repeated claims that Russians have no will to fight. Zaluzhnyi says NYET!
Zaluzhnyi also is paying attention to the build up of Russian forces in Belarus and was not shy in stating he fully expects the Russians to launch a new attack with ground forces on Kiev. Russia’s historical record of using deception to pin down enemy forces and attack the enemy where they least expect it faces new challenges in the modern era, which is define by extraordinary overhead imaging capability and electronic intelligence systems. It is nigh impossible to hide the movement of forces at the division level. If George S Patton were alive today, he would not be able to replicate the creation of a Ghost Army that was used to convince the German General Staff that the Allies were going to attack at Pas de Calais.
But Zaluzhnyi’s candor had its limits. He flat out lied about the number of Ukrainian reserves available to reinforce units in the field. But in doing so he accurately highlighted Ukraine’s desperate need for armor, artillery and ammunition. Ukraine cannot produce what it needs and the United States and NATO’s supplies are running low.
Then he insisted that Ukraine will attack Melitopol. That is delusional. With scant armor, limited fuel supplies, troubled lines of communication and no air power, Ukraine would enter a new slaughter house if it tried to launch such an operation because Russia has fortified its defenses around Melitopol.
A Ukrainian source published the the following account of the battles underway in the Donetsk:

I do not know if Zaluzhnyi’s remarks to The Economist represents a clear break with Zelensky and his Western advisors or if Zaluzhnyi was tasked with laying the foundation for a shift in the Ukrainian narrative. What do you think?
The Russian general Armageddon lives by his name. The Ukr trenches are full of mud and water, while the Russian artillery doesn’t stop night or day. At night the temperatures are now below O C, and if you make a fire to warm up you run into the danger to be found by heat finding kamikaze drones.
In the same time, the Russian missiles and drones destroy the heat, water and electricity in your home town/city/village, and your family is cold and hungry.
The Ukr economy is destroyed and the only thing Ukr can offer is demoralized soldiers, and donated Soviet or old NATO gear.
This is BEFORE any Russian winter or spring attack.
(but 300 tanks will fix the problem /s)
Honestly, this Zaluzhni guy is the same kind of puppet that Elensky is. I have to admit that at this point I don’t take anything seeiously what comes out of those lying mouths. “I can beat this enemy”, “The enemy gathere troops beyond the Urals like in WW2…”, this is all a big show. Above all, most likely Zaluzhnys forefathers were part of exactly those Russian armies he now calls proudly “the enemy” for the WSJ or the Economist or one of those shytin-papers. Just a military version of Zelensky who likes to wear Swastika stuff.
Can someone please tell me what planet this guy lives on?
Sullivan: “It is not yet time for Ukraine to negotiate with Russia.” According to Sullivan, Ukraine has won a series of battles, “repelled the Russian invaders from most of the country,” and is now “fighting to reclaim the remaining land.”
Silly-van lives in the ziosphere
Maybe he’s just a real soldier of Ukraine.
He starts by being true to his honor and duty by delivering a real assessment; the Russians are a motivated and formidable foe. They enjoy numerical superiority and they are about to attack. That is real trouble for Ukraine. Take it seriously.
Then his duty to Ukraine, for sure, but we don’t know if he believes it or not himself – if we don’t receive more guns and ammo, we really might be done for when the Russians jump off this big offensive.
Then, purely to leave no doubt his loyalty and usefulness, and in further desperate attempt to secure guns and ammo (and troops?) from the stupid US/NATO, despite the above unpleasant, albeit honest, assessment, he tosses in the Zelensky/US fantasy propaganda about advancing on the Crimea.
Then again, maybe I’m just waxing romantic. Perhaps he’s 100% in on the scam and nothing more and wants more US-$ and guns and ammo to siphon off and build a nice post-Ukraine exile retirement exile in some more sunny location, like Zelensky. So he’s merely trying to scare the west over the coming Russian attack and the lack of resources to stop it.
Never met the man
We don’t know if Zelensky approved the interview. Assume he did. If not, then Zelesnky is in trouble. But did Zelensky approve everything that was said? We don’t know. The part about the real threat posed by Russia could have been off-script.
Never knew your secret desire was to be an airport writer.
Pretty good but obviously based on nonsense.
Don’t press our readers credibility too far.
You’re contribution made no sense whatsoever.
Casual Observer,
More absolutism black/white thinking. Some German Nazi Generals were tremendous professional soldiers and definitely possessed a strong sense of honor and duty to their country and even the Nazi cause.
I don’t get this “if it isn’t perfect and on my side then it’s totally evil and without an iota of redeeming qualities” thinking.
There are common criminals who might hijack trucks or con people out of money; maybe even kill men in an organized crime situation, but they still have standards. For example, it may be that they would never hurt a child or hit a woman. If they encounter someone who harms women and children they’d even go out of their way to put an end to that person – much farther than likely you’d go. No one is pure. Not you, not me. I’m never impressed by gratuitous moral posturing.
Also things can serve more than one purpose. They can even be a hedge against two dichotomous outcomes.
It is entirely possible that the General is a murderous Nazi, yet feels duty bound to offer clues as to how bad the situation is, while still covering for his government and while begging for arms and munitions to keep fighting and possibly to sell for profit if he sees the cause becomes hopeless and he needs to make some exile money.
That’s, generally, how successful people think. In my experience, less successful people are linear, absolutist thinkers. I thought we all admired 4D chess players. Well?
Eric Newhill says:
Well?
Well, aren’t you the proto-Existentialist, wrapped in a cocoon of his own gobbledegook of an honor code.
In my book, the worst evil of all is to wrap yourself in a mantle of righteousness and then use every manipulation known to man to revel in your righteousness before your public, while now free to go about your evil ways unecumbered by accountability.
don’t be so cynical. Even crooks can still be men with a sense of honor in other areas of life.
Sense of honor…yeah, sure. Let’s go round up some more dissidents protesting our fascist coup d’etat and burn them alive.
Sir you are so right. There is nothing pure good/evil in this world.
Yes it’s odd to suddenly get a military interview like this. I wonder if a change of regime is up next.
We’re gonna have to start calling him Aluni soon
I think Zelensky is done for.
Does he just take his wife and sacks of money and fly to his mansion in Miami – or is sacrificed in some kind of false flag?
Zelensky knows too much to simply allow him to retire in Miami (or anywhere for that matter). I don’t know, obviously, but if I had to bet, I’d say he will become a martyr somehow to continue the emotional tug on Ukraine supporters….and his $ billion stash can then be stolen (although it will be reported by the lying media as “missing”).
I think I ran across a Ukrainian at a busy intersection today, holding up a handwritten cardboard sign “Two-timing veteran needs your help. Family about to be evicted for non-payment of rent, heating, water and light bills. Give what you can even if you can’t, then give again and don’t forget, I kept you free – from something I think. Now ante up.”
he is exactly as Elenski, he ask more $ and more weapons and lies about reality on the ground + he is a swastika lover as well… my opinion is t5hat the west prepare us 4 a military coup in Ukraine… all Telegrams Chanels from Russia and Ukraine are full of rumors abnout Elenski is about to get ride of Zaluzhni SO….who knows maybe MSM try to make us accepting him….
Oh, that ring of his? That was just an ancient Buddhist symbol for peace and love. All the Ukrainians have them.
Hi Larry. I think that this is clearly option two; laying the foundation for a shift in the narrative. As I said before about Avril Haines, this is just an actor reading a script. There is no way on Earth that this sort of information would be hitting the headlines unless it was scrubbed clean and given a nice haircut by the people who are actually in charge, and none of them call Kiev home.
That second quote, about the battles in Bakhmut, came from the Kiev Independent, for goodness sake, and when you consider how the Ukraine government has shut down every media outlet that has shown even a whisper of dissent, and many that were totally on side, there is no other explanation.
With 250 Western PR firms involved in creating the reality that Ukraine was only one offensive away from total victory there is a fair bit or work yet to be done. The narrative has been running for so long and has been so deeply embedded in the collective West that to turn it around is going to take more than just a few chosen experts speaking on cable TV. I’m looking forward to watching heads explode in Washington as they try.
…. There is no way on Earth that this sort of information would be hitting the headlines unless it was scrubbed clean and given a nice haircut by the people who are actually in charge, and none of them call Kiev home…..
This
I agree. If they have figured out that Zelensky is now a tired brand they can roll out this tough looking guy who they can sell as a soldier’s soldier. If needed they can develop New Coca Cola if they need a bifurcation. This can provide alternate reality for either good cop/bad cop or some version of bad/worse outcomes. If his brand is a hit on social media he can be a safety net if negotiating goes bad (claiming he wanted to save soldier’s lives). In the very extreme if Zelensky hops on a helicopter to Tel Aviv, it would make sense to have a general take over of civil government is in total disarray.
BTW: a Berlin daily launches a wire about polands chief of police is going to Kiew, gets a gift by an ukrainian high-ranking policemen, droves back to poland, the gift, a parcel, explodes, chief of police is wounded, stays alive.
https://www.tagesspiegel.de/internationales/nach-besuch-in-der-ukraine-ukrainisches-paket-explodiert–polens-polizeichef-leicht-verletzt-9042193.html
Think, its about who is in charge next spring…
Turns out it was a rocket launcher that he decided to press the trigger in his office
Come on. Really? He didn’t know what a loaded rocket launcher looks like? He doesn’t know to not press the trigger in his office? I find that incredible. It’s a weird cover story.
Poles and Ukrainians are together covered by a weird mantel of sado-masochistic tendencies. Now, THAT’S a story.
Grenade launcher.
Previously Ukrainian media had reported that Zelensky intended to remove Zaluzhny in Aug-Sept. That didn’t happen. There were also rumours of a possible military coup. Perhaps Zelensky was gunning for Zaluzhny but the western backers wouldn’t let it happen.
Obviously there are differing factions in the Ukraine and I suspect the two men are not pals.
We may be looking at Zaluzhny positioning himself to be the more capable realistic leader and to pin the blame for the coming winter disaster on Zelensky.
^^^this^^^
….and who will then pin the blame on the coming spring disaster for Zaluzhny?
The poor devils look like Police Academy 5 discovers a cheap military set.
Neither Z is worth anything. President or crew cut Napoleon.
They lie.
Get to the negotiating table and stop this bloodshed.
Very interesting. I take this as a message to Moscow: ‘I respect you and also disagree with Kiev’s tactics. I’m your man.’
This guy isn’t a fool. He knows the weapons he says are needed are never coming. He knows Ukraine will never take Melitopol or Crimea. It’s likely that Kiev is giving him orders against his recommendations. I think he’s had it.
Why he mentions Melitopol and Crimea, who knows, although it allows him to at least look 100% loyal to Kiev.
The General is being careful, as he must. If he goes too far, he risks being removed and/or shot in the current circumstances. But I don’t think he has any time anymore for Zelensky, or the West.
If I remember correctly, the general is born in Odessa and when to military school there.
Also, Odessa is on to do list, for Russia, to cut Urk access to any/Black sea ports. Next they will move against Romania and Bulgaria.
However, BOTH countries are so sick of being war pawns that will switch sides in a breath
He mentions Melitopol and Crimea because they are on the current checklist of talking points. Last month it was Kherson, and next one it will be something else. Nothing new to see here.
Russia could also pull a SLOW one. They’ll attack, but in 2024 or 2025 or 2026. Until then everything stays at it is, with the idea to empty Ukr to the world, for the next 2-3 years.
They are already hated by the ‘collective west’ so what’s the point of hurry up? 2-3 more winters will soften the meat.
Thinking the slow grind, with just enough progress to keep the homefront & international allies onside, and to keep NATO from overreacting.
Give Europe a full year without Russian energy, inflation, food scarcity, deindustrialization, growing deficits, austerity, falling Euro, more inflation, financial institutions need bailing, more borrowing at higher interest rates. Petrodollar transactions & dollar as reserve currency, West as safe haven for Global South capital, all continue to decline….
To be honest at the beginning of this non-sense (why would two Orthodox white people kill each-other), Putin asked for 6 months to switch the Russian economy to a post economic sanctions to new war economy.
I was skeptic and scared that it can be done, but Russia fires now what it produces the month before.
We are now 10 months later, so I’m assuming that switch has been done
Ukraine is not run by Ortodox people, quite the contrary. As we speak, churches are being raided and priests arrested. Calling Slavs white is also not accurate. Slavs were the main victim of most well known white supremacists group ever (and still are). Killing Slavic Ortodox people is the main reason behind this war (and Yugoslav wars too).
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has fallen out of favor with Kyiv because it is a self-governing church within the Moscow patriarchate.
Because they hate everything Russian the Orthodox Church of Ukraine is now the favored religion.

Poison Frog (cool handle)
Yes, but, that doesn’t fit with the US electoral schedule.
I would expect a NATO escalation on the mistaken belief that Russia wouldn’t dare to attack NATO (polish) forces protecting “innocent civilians” or equivalent story, in west Ukraine.
Since NATO leaks like a sieve (, ie., Russia supports HUMINT), this likely would force Russia to secure the Ukrainian western border in advance.
He sounds like a defeatist, this Zaluzhni fellow. I think President Zelensky should fire his ass.
“It seems to me we are on the edge,” warns General Zaluzhny. More big attacks could completely disable the grid. “That is when soldiers’ wives and children start freezing,” he says. “What kind of mood will the fighters be in? Without water, light and heat, can we talk about preparing reserves to keep fighting?”
But …
“It is not yet time to appeal to Ukrainian soldiers in the way that Mannerheim appealed to Finnish soldiers.” He is referring to a speech which Finland’s top general delivered to troops in 1940 after a harsh peace deal which ceded land to the Soviet Union.
Kidding about Zelensky. I don’t think Little Big Z has the power to fire anyone. He’s the puppet whose strings are being pulled by all the other puppets.
It was a weird article, which is in keeping with this weird, weird war. It was half cold admission the war lost, and half we are going to win this war, because if you wish hard enough upon a Nato star, fairy tales – and Abrahms tanks – do come true.
Just weird. I mean, in a war in which numbers large and small are picked randomly out of hat, what are to make of this sentence from the authors of the piece?
“Ukraine has enough men under arms—more than 700,000 in uniform, in one form or another, of whom more than 200,000 are trained for combat. ”
As our own Helmholtz Smith asked in the Moon of Alabama comment section:
“So what are the other 500K — just targets to use up Russian ammunition?”
Indeed. Why train for combat when you’re only role as a soldier is to die in a ditch for no good reason?
I did find it interesting that Zaluzhnyi thinks the target of the coming Russian offensives will be Kiev, and he would know better than anyone outside the Pentagon. And, as I keep pointing out, the Russian Army, last we saw of them, surrounded the place rather easily back in March, with a force strength more fit for the parade ground.
Surround it, build dual lined fortifications in the style of Julius Casaer, and lay seige to the capitol city until enemy leadership, whomever or wherever they happen to be, gives you everything your little Rooskie heart desires.
Everywhere else, just continue doing what you’re doing, use you proxie militias and private military contractors to press on with the mission of demilitarizing the entire Western world.
The best solution for Ze is to fire ALL the analysts military, economics, financial, so on. ALL of them, that will solve 1/3 of the headaches
Then Ze should fire anybody initiated in the art of war, they are just annoying when they say they need that many troops, artillery, and cover for that region. Gone
Then Ze should fire all the political adversary – done that was easy
Then Ze should fire the Orthodox Church, Journalism, walking, so on – done that was easy
After that the victory is written in stone … for Russia :]
My understanding is that Russia voluntarily removed troops surrounding Kyiv to facilitate the peace agreement being worked out in Istanbul , which both parties basically agreed upon. Russia probably removed the troops so it would not later said Ukraine signed peace treaty under duress. But once Russia withdraw, Ukraine shouted “we won,” staged Bucha and refused to negotiate.
“Russia withdraw” … and … “Ukraine shouted “we won” ….”
Lmao … That’s pretty much the way it went down.
Of all the idiotic Western narratives of this war so far, and there’s been hundreds, that one might take the cake. One minute the Russians are there in force, and the next, they’ve slipped away like ghosts in the night, but we were expected to believe it was a series of full-throttle Ukraine counter-offensives that forced the Russian Army … to run for their lives!
The Miracle of Kiev!
Can anyone point to a major – or minor, for that matter – military engagement that transpired in that time and place, that compelled the “inglorious” Russian “retreat?” No they can not.
As for Bucha, I’d love to know who did that one. Was the peace hatin’ Death Ridin’ UkoNazis? Was it an independent CIA/MI-6 operation, the two fine intelligence gathering organizations stirring up the pot because that’s what they like to do (they saw an opportunity and they took it!), or did orders come down from the top? From the White House?
Assuming the White House is the top, of course.
Supposedly the Ukranian Safari Unit who moved in on “collaborators” as Russia rolled out. Given the level of curation of info from searches on this, it seems more true than not. Almost nothing near the top includes “ukraine Safari Unit Bucha” even though I know it’s out there in quantity.
Also very suspicious, I didn’t get the usual excluded terms warning. “Safari Unit” is toxic to their narrative, and they know it.
Aside: threatening the world’s largest nuclear nation with war crimes trials all the time might not be the smartest idea.
The soldiers’ wives will bugger off to the EU, where they will use their womanly wiles to find a barely-solvent, hunchbacked and overjoyed westerner to park their parkas with, followed by dear john letters by the sackful and mass surrenders to the enemy.
Don’t kid yourselves. Women have started and ended wars throughout history. It’s a powerful breed.
Seems to me like Zelensky is about to be replaced.
That’s actually best for him, if he has any expectation of living a long life.
Have you seen Saakashvili’s leaked prison CCTV surveillance?
https://www.bitchute.com/video/va08Bllr5MEl/
Not a pretty fate awaits western castaways.
Zaluzhny can’t parrot the dribble du jour about rusty Russian tanks and untrained Russian soldiers, because he’d be asked if their equipment is so bad and moral so low how come Ursula talks about 100,000 killed Ukrainian soldiers and why you constantly beg for weapons – where are the ones you had prior and got from the West? Ukraine and West were painting Russia as a paper tiger and now facing Bakhmut defeat, lies don’t cover the dire situation. I think they constantly talk about Crimea because NATO drools on Sebastopol and Olena Zelenska has an estate in Crimea , in Livadia, where Russian Tsars used to have summer homes, and which she wants back. So Zaluzhny nod at Crimea serves both, NATO and Zelensky.
I think he is being set up to replace Zelensky.
Yes. Prepare media with new name familiarity — how to speak and spell it — before removing old brand name.
New puppet tries for truth to build credibility but can’t fully mouth how bad his situation is.
My question is simple to the Ukr generals.
Do you love your country? if yes, how come you don’t do what’s the best for your country, get talking with the Russians and remove the NATO/NAZI cancer from your country.
YOU as an UKR general, how come you are content that this Christmas scores of young Ukr young men will die in remote fields, instead of having a beer and a vodka with friends and family.
Talk to the Russians, it’s your duty to protect the people of Ukr.
What I find curious is the Roman Catholic thread in all this. Hitler, of course, was Catholic. The Ustache in Croatia was founded by a Roman Catholic priest and, of course, they murdered 700,000 Serbs during World War II. And of course, most of the anti-russian sentiment as well as the Bandera-ites come from Ukrainian Catholic Lviv.
What’s going on here? Eastern Orthodox hatred, even though theologically it’s essentially the same? Trying to conquer more Orthodox turf for the pope? Trying to acquire more territory for the reestablishment of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, known today as the European Union? For the Pope?
Any other theories?
“Hitler, of course, was Catholic”, and his followers put copies of Mein Kampf in churches. (Shirer, in “The Rise and Fall of…”, as I recall.) So what did Hitler, the alleged Catholic, do to have those removed? The presence of that book was surely blaphemous according to the ethics of any faithful Catholic. Not even Old Man Joe, an obvious heretic, would have tolerated such secular intrusion into the church.
Your comment about Catholics is otherwise apt, I think. Bandera was himself Catholic, though probably Dmytro Dontsov was not. (He came from a Cossack family, and the Cossacks are usual Orthodox.) Papists have been waging brutal war against much of the world since before the time of Charlemagne and his “Saxon Wars”, which were mostly against heretics and infidels. They’ve looked down their noses upon the east for more than 1,000 years and still grind their teeth in anger when any bishop refuses to bow and scrape before Peter. They will never deserve to be known for humility, which is interesting given how they are always lecturing and scolding the world about pride. Still, we can look a little deeper for explanations about this war.
Recall, for instance, the occasional accusations against Charlemange that he was “anti-Semitic”. There had been Jews in Aachen for centuries. Were they, too, massacred during Charlemange’s war to rid n.w. Evrope of heretics and infidels? Not according to what I’ve read of the subject. Instead, Charlemange obtained his doctor(s) from the Jews. Some of his advisors were Jews, and he sent Jewish envoys to the Mediterranean and Muhammadists. He or underlings even welcomed Jewish migrations into n.w. Evrope, to expand and multiply their colonies.
Something else to consider is that Israel, the nation, no longer needs Trinitarianism in Evrope. Israel has been restored to state power and has significant influence over Natoland politicians and militaries. Most of the so called West is well in hand now, but a large area of the east is recidivist. So it must be conquered and brought to heel. It stands as impediment to the federation of the continents, which will have its capital and “the Supreme Court of Mankind” (Ben-Gurion, Jan. 1962) in Jerusalem. Of course, people such as Nancy Pelosi, Donald Trump, and Papa Joe Biden have made it clear that the capital of the USA is, for practical purposes, already a faithful servant of Tsion.
Probably you know already that Trump and Biden were in the bag before reaching the White House, but you may have some reservations about classifying Pelosi as a golem. I will provide video evidence if you wish. What she said, to an audience of Jews if I’m not mistaken, is that even if the City Washington were destroyed, Jerusalem would remain a top priority.
You’re appealing to a brick wall…..of manure & straw bricks to be exact.
The Big Switcharoos has started. (?)
General Armageddon will have the details and the time line on a clipboard.
When a fight is over, it’s over: or a shallow grave outside the bunker.
Question is, who will be in it?
I have been wrong more than a tad in the passed but still believe it’s over by Christmas. No cease fire with cigars and whiskey but a General Armistice. The beating can continue but the slaughter must stop.
This Ukrainian General has the class and courage to bring it to and end and his soldiers out of the WW1 trenches. General Armageddon is a professional staff officer with a pedigree. He makes the military decisions. Putin will take his advice and dust off the plans for Poland, if those idiots want war, then war they shall get and Norway. Yes ! General Stolenburger , take note, that’s your country.

Christmas
in Ritual and Tradition
Christian and Pagan
By Clement A. Miles
London: Adelphi Terrace
T. Fisher Unwin
1912
Republished by Gale Research Company, Book Tower, Detroit, 1968
=============
The book includes a considerable amount text in French, German, Spanish, and Latin, but translations are provided for most of that. One of the author’s aims, as explained in Conclusion, is to give “some idea of the manner in which Christmas is, and has been, kept throughout Europe.” There is a whole chapter about “The Yule Log”, he mentions the fire superstition in Russia, and he mentions “the King of Glory in the stable”, which implies a lack of detachment from the subject matter.
The book was published in Detroit, which was very papist at the time. In Michigan, Protestants have historically been strong in the western part of the province, which is famous for its Dutch settlers along Lake Michigan. Of course we had our share of such people in Detroit, too, back in those days (1968). I haven’t read the book closely enough to say what sect the author preferred, but it seems that the publishing company was founded by a Protestant, a guy named Frederick Gale Ruffner, Jr., whose memorial service was at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church (Presbyterian) in Grosse Pointe Farms (as in the movie Grosse Pointe Blank).
The pro-Russian West fawns over Zaluzhni just like the anti-Russian west fawns over Zelenski. After 100 years of Hollywood movies the Western public automatically believes that if there’s a bad guy somewhere, then there must also be a good guy just around the corner.
But there is no evidence that Zalushni is anywhere near being a good guy. He’s the general of a Bandera army and gives orders to slaughter Donetsk civilians every day. When his social media account was hacked and his love for fast cars and hookers was exposed he simply answered “Kill all orcs!” (orcs == Russians).
That’s your guy.
He does have great taste in nazi-inspired jewelry thought.
Russia is poorly equipped. Ukraine is running out of vehicles and ammo.
Can he hear himself?
it’s safe to assume that the Economist (controlled by Rottenchild) is not at all attempting to introduce clarity or honestly into the public domain to clarify what is happening, let alone to predict the future or to reveal anything useful.
The same lying predatory democidal psychopaths who control this and most other western me(r)dia outlets control the Covid Democide Program, WEF, Bad Pharma, Pedowood and all other gaslighting outlets and loudest megaphones of modern day MORDOR of 5 Eyes.
As they always do they are probably trying to draw attention from something important/real/true towards the domain of PR, lies, staging, fraud and other crimes against reality they generate/control so to be able to act behind the scenes as they always do. Nothing they say or do is as it seems – there are always hidden agendas – psychopaths cannot be any other way even if they wanted to.
Helping anyone understand what is happening, shedding light, promoting reality – is as far away from their intentions as possible. Kind of like garlic is to vampires (and the very concept of vampires has probably been invented as a good metaphor to represent this kind of predatory, lying, democidal psychopaths).
What Economist publishes is probably consistent/equivalent to Mosad’s moto : through deception we wage war. Nothing more.
US/Nato und Ukies simply don’t know what Russia is up to next. Ukies get their ass handed to them every time they provoke death shelling peaceful settlements. That interview is in my opinion meaningless. Assumptions backed up by acknowledging some realities shows that they simply don’t know what is really coming next. Announcing publicly an offensive on a Russian liberated area is utter BS too. You don’t give that info to your “enemy” in advance.
Hence my statement, this whole interview is meaningless and probably some sort of a tryout to provoke a reaction. Same as the rumors about sending in troops into west Ukraine or Transnistria. All bluffs.
They know very well what Russia is up to next. Half a year ago they said that phase one has ended, and that they are going to do phase two by the book. Russian “by the book” approach is war of attrition. Recently Surovikin said clearly that he will grind them down. They know very well what is coming next, but can’t do much about it.
This “interview” is just yet another “send moar weapons” piece for western taxpayers.
I didn’t mean it in terms of the goals. So far US and Nato are stepping up, escalating things more and more. But they never did it without spreading it in MSM before. They always wanna see what Russia will announce then or how they wanna react to that. Now they saw what Russia did in regards to continuous Ukie terrorist attacks on now Russian territories. But I think they still don’t get it. Probing and announcing is what I see. So therefore my conclusion US and Nato are clueless.
Interesting to compare this with the Russian perspective on ‘the terrible interview of the Beast commander’ in the Economist https://www.kp.ru/daily/27485.5/4693737/
The Beast Commander of Ukraine gave a terrible interview: Russian mobilization, hope for a world war and plans for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

A huge, pretentious and scandalous interview to the respectable (as it seemed before) magazine The Economist was given by the commander of the Ukrainian troops, General Valery Zaluzhny , from which, as it is believed, the West is preparing a possible successor to Vladimir Zelensky in the presidential chair.
The interview is also quite candid. Because some tough, even cruel – beyond the bounds of human humanism phrases that are sometimes capable of the military, but not politicians or diplomats, have not been censored by the editors of the British magazine.
It turns out that such phrases are becoming acceptable for British and Western society in general. Or even desirable?
How do you like this confession of General Zaluzhny:
– For us, the military, it all started back in 2014. Eight years of struggle went on until 2022… Everything that happened on February 24 was an increase in scale. Before that, we had a front of 403 kilometers. And on February 24, this front grew to 2,500 kilometers … All we did was apply our knowledge and experience, which we have already had since then. And the most important experience, which we professed almost like a religion, is that Russians and any other enemies must be killed, just killed, and most importantly, not be afraid to do it. And that’s what we do.
Just curious, but if Zaluzhny instead of “kill Russians” said “kill Jews” or “kill blacks” – would the British print it just as calmly?
“I WOULD DO THE SAME”
Further, Zaluzhny admits that “since the beginning of the conflict, he has already fired ten Ukrainian generals, another shot himself.”
The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says that the Russian troops correctly planned the start of the special operation, but they had limited resources:
– I think they had the resources for three months to reach their goals, – says Zaluzny. – They wanted to take Kyiv. Militarily, it was the right decision – the easiest way to achieve their goal. I would do the same.
HARNESSING THE TROOPS
About today’s battles and the alignment of forces, the Ukrainian military leader says this:
– The situation in Donbas is not easy… They (the Russian troops) need time to gather resources and build new capabilities to continue achieving their goals. But they are working on another task in parallel, doing everything possible to prevent us from regrouping and striking. They pin down our troops to prevent us from regrouping. The fact that they are now stubbornly fighting is, of course, very bad. This wears down the Ukrainian armed forces.
SOLDIERS IN THE TRENCHES HAVE BEEN LEFT TO THE SLAUGHTER
Zaluzhny says even more amazing things about the tactics and condition of the Ukrainian troops. He openly admits that he is leaving soldiers to be slaughtered, and is not currently providing assistance to those who are still holding back the Russian offensive in the Donbass. And at the same time, he is preparing fresh reserves for his future offensive in February. Just take a look at this:
– The next task that we have is to hold the frontier and not lose positions anymore. Because it is ten to fifteen times harder to release than not to surrender. Our troops are now bleeding.
But, forgive me, the soldiers in the trenches, it’s more important now to focus on accumulating resources for the longer, harder battles that could begin next year.
Our second strategic task is to prepare for the development of the conflict, which may occur in February. To be able to fight with fresh forces and reserves.
This can happen in February, at best in March, at worst – at the end of January.
PLAN FOR THE APPROACH TO MELITOPOL
The British magazine asks Zaluzhny about the “offensive on the Crimea”, which is promised in Kyiv. And he answers, in fact, revealing a probable plan to capture Melitopol, to take the Crimea in a fire blockade:
– To get to the borders of the Crimea, today we need to overcome the distance of 84 km to Melitopol, – says the Ukrainian general. – By the way, this is enough for us, because Melitopol would give us full fire control of the land corridor (to the Crimea), because from Melitopol we can already fire on the Crimean Isthmus, with the same HIMARS and so on.
Surely these Napoleonic-zaluzhny plans are known to the Russian General Staff and he knows how to thwart them. Otherwise, the Ukrainian general would not have blurted them out so easily to journalists.
BALANCING ON THE EDGE
Zaluzhny also admits that the energy system of Ukraine is balancing “on a fine line”:
– I am not an energy specialist, but it seems to me that we are on the verge. We are balancing on a fine line. And if (the power grid) is destroyed … Without water, light and heat, can we talk about preparing reserves for the continuation of hostilities?
ALL CALCULATIONS ARE MADE BY NATO
The Ukrainian commander tells a British magazine that he has “enough men, enough for me. I don’t need hundreds of thousands more.” But Zaluzhny asks for weapons and equipment: “We need tanks, we need armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles. And we need ammo. I’m not talking about the F-16 now.”
The air defense also asks, recognizing that NATO does all the calculations for the Ukrainians: “NATO specialists know everything, absolutely everything, to the smallest detail. Calculations are made. We already have several NASAMS (Norwegian-American air defense systems). IRIS-T (German air defense system) is already in use. But we need dozens of these.”
The general is asked: “Have the Russian troops adapted to HIMARS (American multiple launch rocket launchers)?
“Yes,” Zaluzhny replies. – They went to a distance unattainable for HIMARS. And we don’t have anything long-range.
THE WEST FALLS OUT OF Kyiv’S REQUESTS
There were also complaints about the greed of the West. Zaluzhny, judging by his words, wants to inflate a conflict on the scale of the First World War in Europe. And the West “faints” from such a prospect.
– We are talking about the scale of the First World War. This was told to me by Anthony Radakin (commander of the British troops), – Zaluzny flaunts. – But when I told him that the British army fired a million shells in the First World War, and so far they have sent us only 50 thousand, he replied: “We will lose Europe. We will have nothing to live on if you launch so many shells. When they talk about 50,000 shells, people who count money faint!
But with such resources, I can’t carry out new large operations, although we are currently working on one, – Zaluzhny mysteriously intrigues. – She (operation) is on the way, but you don’t see her yet.
I need resources. I need 300 tanks, 600-700 infantry fighting vehicles, 500 howitzers, – the general calls specific numbers and promises, if he is given all this, “to reach the lines on February 23.” – But I get less than I need. And we need to capture a lot more territory.
“RUSSIAN MOBILIZATION WORKED”
Well, in the end, The Economist asked Zaluzhny – what does he think about partial mobilization in Russia?
– Russian mobilization worked, – the Ukrainian general is forced to admit. – It is not true that their problems are terrible, that these people will not fight. They will. They present a problem for us.
I think that the British would give a damn if he woukld had said that they must kill Jews, by the simple fact this interview is published by The Economist, which makes The Rothschilds, in case there was any doubt, part of this conflict..
These people are not caring but about their money, and their only goal is preserving their financial interests in the City if London, financial interests which will grow exponentially by lending and investing in a devastated Europe, as happened during the past great wars in which they had no little part.
Anitsemitism and religious persecution runs rampant in Ukraine, as it did even before WWII when the Ukrainian nazionalists started already collaborating with the nazis in Germany, giving place ot the pogroms of Petliura to whom monuments are bieng built in Ukraine right now under Zelensky regime.
Recently a Chavad Lubavitch rabbi settled in Kherson through thirteen years, had to exile to Germany once the Ukrainians recovered the city and started harassing him acussing him of being pro-Russian for having taking part in the delivery of humanitarian aid while the Russian were there and having allowed some Russian Jew soldiers praying at his synagogue.
Then, the President of Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security ( JISS ), Efraim Inbar, wrote recently an analysis titled “It is in the best interest of the US to end the war in Ukraine”, where he affirms that the war will not end with the restitution of Ukrainian territory like he requires Zelensky. He finds also quite unexpectable that eventhough NATO supporting Ukraine the war ends in a Russian defeat, deems this war a burden getting in the way of other strategic objectives of the West and finds quite unlikely that Crimea or Donbass, inhabited by ethnic Russians for generations would any time return to Ukraine. He deems also unwise and counter-productive trying to humiliate Russia and definitely states that the so propagandized Ukrainian victory will not take place. He defines this war a one of high intensity which we thought as of the past consuming huge ammounts of military assets and munition..

C: Somebody send this clown a hotlink to a suicide hotline.
Q: Which clown?
A: Both. Make the one for the Brit in English and the one for the Uke in Ukrish.
Can someone answer this question: Acc. to some critical Russian channels the Russians seemed to have or still have (here and there) problems with the fact, that their artillery is good for grinding down huge numbers of foes, because the mass of artillery widens the statistical spectrum of hits, but it’s a problem to fight counterbattery-battles against those S-holes who shell Donetsk all the time – because the Russians need much more artillery to counter them (they need less since they are so accurate) and at the moment most of the artillery systems are near Bakhmut.
Is this true?
Do the Russians really don’t have something with a similar accuracy as the Western artillery?
Are we talking about M777 – I thought that this chunk has become more and more useless.
Is the Western artillery that accurate?
I read that the shelling of Donetsk of the past weeks was often performed by “stupid” Grad systems – I understand that.
Donetsk could be secured by carpet bombing Avdeevka to a hole in the ground. It is unconscionable that this has not yet been done, and once the “Ukrainian” (that is, American-in-Ukranazi-uniform-crewed) Patriots are in place around Avdeevka it will not be done. The Patriots may be useless against ballistic missiles and drones but they can certainly eliminate TU 95s flying straight and level on bombing runs over the battleground.
Why would you fly a carpet bombing mission at low or even medium altitude?
Because you’re flying aeroplanes with a service ceiling of approximately 13000 metres (and much less with a reasonable bomb load)?
A BM-21 has 40 rockets which it can fire off in half a minute. Then the truck moves. HIMARS similar. Pretty hard to do CB against that.
I am talking about the same solution the USAF found about the Cu Chi tunnels in 1968; if you can’t locate and destroy Viet Cong tunnels as fast as the Viet Cong can build them, carpet bomb the entire locality until there is nothing left.
Yesterday, or the hours preceding it there was a really big attack on Donetsks (and secondarily Luhansk) confirmed by local civil authorities.
I could nt reach out for details as yet.
But sounds like the will to ask why did the Kremlin and Putin carry out the referendums in the oblasts for.
From the beginning I have said that Zaluzhny is a highly competent professional officer with a WWII Red Army-esque streak of ruthlessness and willingness to sacrifice troops to achieve military objectives. He has done very well given his strategic problems, much better than the Russian commanders until the advent of Surovikin. It is my opinion that he will eventually replace Elensky as dictator of Ukranazistan. The only question is whether he will overthrow Elensky or take over after the former flees or is falseflagged by his Brutish SAS bodyguards/minders.
You really think Zaluzhny is commanding the Ukrainian army? C’mon!
ukraine has already lost this war will anything he says or thinks make a realistic change to this outcome?
at this point it appears the russian strategy is to drain away whats left of NATO’s ability to supply ukraine and ultimately to fight russia. the usa is to far away logistically to make much difference one way or the other if they are stupid enough to get directly into the fight on the ground in a way impossible to obfuscate in the msm.
nato and washington are the frogs being slow boiled………ukraine is just the pot.
After reading so many articles or reports from the Ukraine, EU, and USA media it’s hard to believed anything anymore. One thing is for sure, The EU and USA Leadership is laundering the taxpayer money through Elensky. Russia don’t revealed much of his military losses or victories. Like always very good information.
Perhaps people are getting wise to the possibility that the cocaine powered midget is Kremlin’s top man in Kiev. Ze has successfully destroyed his own country, reduced the male population to nothing, lost 20% of the territory that represents 80% of Ukr GDP and bled EU/USA/NATO dry of money, weaponry and credibility.
Ze is the perfect friend of Kremlin’s.
Perhaps (and I speculate here), he has been repeatedly pressed by Zaluzhny and other military officers to sign on the dotted line while there are men still left in the Ukr military and Ukr still has access to the Black Sea and he has refused. As the situation gets worse, people like Zaluzhny start thinking – “is he doing this on purpose?” as in – what is he getting out of this – and one option is that he works for the Russians….
My image of Zaluzhny is of a proper military general. I think he tried his best knowing he went into this fight with zero chance of winning, where a win (to begin with) would be not to keep your territory but to inflict as much damage on RFA as possible and slow them down as much as possible.
Anyway, I thought I throw this out there, in the spirit of maskirovka, Russian 5D chess etc. etc.
It seems its not that easy to wage an international PR war and a local war at the same times. You should ask abroad for more weapon to “win” (read : not loose) the war against “orks with sticks and stones” while telling the mothers of the deceased you were in charge of that they died honorably against a formidable foe for a good cause.
I’m not a good enough liar to manage the two at the same time so I won’t blame that general for trying his best and failing anyway.
What I noted about the guy was he was against the whole “Kherson counter-offensive” plan this summer and advocate for a “Sumy offensive” instead. Finally they did both , and we should consider than the guy was not totally wrong given the results of both missions.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi is one of the people the Russians plan on demilitarizing and de-Nazifying. Hell, as far as that goes, Zaluzhnyi is at the top of Russia’s list.
If you were a high ranking, top tier, Ukrainian military general, like Zaluzhnyi, what would you be trying to do at this point? The war is going badly. And not just the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, but between NATO and Russia. World War 3 is going badly.
If anybody should know it’s Zaluzhnyi. Zaluzhnyi does not want to be demilitarized or de-Nazified. Certainly not the way the Russians plan to do it.
Not that the Russians have very much control over the process themselves at this point.
Zaluzhnyi’s “media blitz” is just his way of trying to get out just ahead of the kind of death that awaits Nazis like Zaluzhnyi, and the whole western world.
In war, civilian deaths surpass those killed in action by huge factors. Some estimates say for every KIA there are between three (3) to five (5) civilians. I think those “experts” are being polite.
Some estimates say civilian deaths amount to between 55- and 75-percent. Since populations are concentrated in cities, and cities get it in war, I tend to lean towards the greater not lesser death.
Nobody knows for sure. And if they do know, the reality is just so stark and unpleasant that they are unwilling to talk about it. In a war, civilian deaths fall on the wrong side of propaganda for both sides.
It’s like asking how much crude oil World War 2 burned through. I am sure somebody knows. But if they do know they aren’t talking. I think, from a psychological standpoint, this is partly why the United States is burning through its Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). Twisted thinking says without oil there can be no World War 3.
Same thing with the number of civilian deaths in any military conflict. Think the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War was a one-off “oops my bad” event? If you just kill enough Vietnamese, you eventually — you have to — run out of Viet Cong. That’s why the answer a female marine gave to her first thoughts about being in Iraq were chilling. She had to resist the urge to kill them all, all Iraqis. Think about it. A woman said this. The gentler sex said this.
The world population in 1940 was approximately 2.3-billion people. Today that number is over 8-billion. In World War 2, millions of people died, but if it was just tens of millions or hundreds of millions, nobody is saying. The number of civilians can only be estimated. End of subject. This World War, World War 3, will easily take billions. It’s just simple math, death is.
The reality is so stark that Zaluzhnyi is trying to find a way out by trying to make himself a civilian and by disappearing into the crowd. Big mistake. Crowds will not die in World War 3, masses will. Whole masses. “I was a Nazi, but not anymore.” Think the Russians will buy that? Think the actuarial tables will buy that?
“The Ukrainian army has enough people, but not enough armored vehicles and ammunition.”
The Ukrainian army may have plenty of people, but it is about to run out of Ukrainians — even the forcibly conscripted women, children, and old people. They are all dead. KIA.
What the Ukrainian army has is plenty of western mercenaries, mercenaries from the United States (Americans), Brits (in the form of Royal Marines), and the rest. And Nazi sympathizers, like Germany, who has been depleting their arsenals of democracy hand over fist. Depleting arsenals for something that does not exist. Oh, the irony. And on so many levels. They are all going to be de-militarized and de-Nazified, too. That’s what happens to Nazi sympathizers.
Right now, the west is being referred to as being a bunch of “Anglo-Zionists.” Now, I don’t know what that means, but my bet is that it’s a euphemism for a Nazi. So, is the United States, and the UK (the empire that refuses to die).
You shall be known by who you associate yourself with.
The General says he has enough troops. Well riddle me this, going after 16 year olds now?
In UkroReikh, the delivery of subpoenas to 16-year-olds has begun
The summons came to a schoolboy from the Ternopil region, who was trained in the Azovets camp.
Just a carbon copy from the Hitler Youth and the Werewolf, Nazi Germany was especially noted for the use of children in the war, where, after ideological and special training, cold-blooded killers were made of them.
Ukrainian Nazis literally repeat their predecessors and no wonder they have the same creators
©Vsevolod
It would not be proper “UkroReikh” without Volkssturm, and Wunderwaffe, and Man of the Year award.
That this General is making bigger bank than Victor Bout. Zelensky is about to meet his fate and be dumped into Babi Yar. I don’t think being a member of the tribe is a good thing when surrounding yourself with Nasties. One would think by now the rank and file conscripts are hatching a plan to save their own asses at some point. So keep sending weapons. That would be collateral to bargain your way out of being blown up. Repent your sins and switch sides. They will be sharing a big bowl of borscht soon. Malanka is around the corner. Cabbage rolls and coffee.
The latter. Since the only thing we know for sure is “We don’t know Jacksh*t.” Also, The Economist is a mouthpiece for the usual suspects so whatever they write is subject to mind manipulation. One is better off not reading it.
Perhaps he’s angling for his boss’ job.

Sometimes the above site is questionable, like Gateway Pundit with its twisted around headline filler stories, but on the whole much unique perspective.
All I know is starting with 2014 Nazi nationalist have been firing on civilians resulting in civil war and Donbas, primarily civilians, have been shelled and killed close to a decade now. Even with the “SMO”, Donbas civilians continue to be killed in mass. Shelling continues. Nothing 10 months on has changed for those civilians. The SMO is one big fat failure… people die because “political” lens and gains.
Russia is as disgusting & dishonest as the Nazi Ukies. They may have an “moral” upper hand, but in an “political “ level, they’re just as depraved. Either get in there and stop the shelling permanently or drop the pretext that Russia isn’t as guilty as US/UK on supplying weapon’s & manpower to keep proxie war going as long as possible while civilians continue to die .I’m completely sick and tired of this divide when both Nations are doing the same g-d thing and both sides are just causing people to die. The difference between this SMO and the Iraq/Syria/Libyas massacres, is that Russia could end the shelling of Donbas period, in 3 days, taking control of air, land & sea… yet they piddle around, a decade, if they’re “your people”… then protect them if not, get the hell out & let the slaughter go full bore instead of daily incremental deaths. It would be kinder than what Russia is doing to “their people” now. I’ve grown to hate all these mfing politicians.
Is this what they call “concerned trolling”, or just regular shitposting?
You seem to know it all. Go there and show them how is done then.
War always is ugly and lethal to many innocent civilians. Donbass and Luhansk have a future now. Ukies will pay for their crimes and so will US and Nato. This conflict is not easy and will not end on US/Nato or Ukie terms.
EU is already paying dearly. Germany is finished as the European powerhouse. US losing its currency and trade war. Pouring weapons to their proxy brought them nothing. The west is looking at a full economical and financial desaster.
I prognosticate that Russia will soon conduct a multi-pronged offensive; with one column striking north from Zaporizhzhya and another south from the Russian border east of Kiev. They will construct defense lines on the east bank of Dneiper River as they go and move very fast. This will become a blocking formation. In addition, another column coming from the east will take Kharkiv and then turn and press south rolling up the flank of main Ukrainian forces on the line of contact all the way to Donetsk. A fourth column will remain on station in western Belarus ready to interdict any NATO intrusion from Poland or Romania. After a week of hard fighting, Ukrainian soldiers will start surrendering in mass. Zelensky will flee the country or get assassinated.
The wild card is whether Brandon starts WW3 as a Hail Mary gambit.
I am just speculating, based on observations for the last months. I believe the General is stating a reality that is dawning on the entire regime. There is great concern about the shape they will be in by the last month of freezing cold. Several months ago the Azovs were called in to motivate soldiers to stay at the front. They picked maybe ten of the reluctants and shot them. Who knows what the morale and fighting ability will be as winter ends? But hope springs eternal and the capture of Melitopol and Crimea sounds good.
Ukraine conducted its last census in 2001. At that time, it counted 48 million people.
Let’s make a very rough guess at present population. It has outward migration of 300-400K every year. Its birth rate is among the lowest in Europe. It has lost 8-10 million in Crimea, Donbas. Another 7 million fled when the war started. More are leaving every day.
Rump Ukraine, at best, has 25 million people. Probably less.
So about 0.5% – 0.75% of Ukraine population so far has been killed. In major wars like US Civil war to WWII, anywhere from 2% of population to 15% of population (Russia) was killed.
So it seems Ukraine still has a lot of cannon fodder to supply to NATO’s sadistic schemes.
When it rains, it pours or when it snows, it’s a blizzard. Zelensky’s status took another big hit today. It has been announced that he is no longer the world’s shortest man. An Iranian man, Afshin Ghaderzadeh, who is 65.24 cm (2ft. 1 in.), has been certified as the shortest.
But Zelensky identifies as tall…
I read all this stuff and feel that the US and NATO are creating a mass of humanity that is really pissed at them. I hear it from Americans-fund Ukraine to fight; just don’t bring it here. I will not be surprised a major attack happens in Europe and US(nuke, germs, toxins) by people that are just pissed off. Give wokeness effecting the atitude of people hired to do key security jobs and the decline in quality of what people do overall, I feel the scenario is over 50% probability.
And the lights just went out again in Nazi land. The Russians who were “out” just spanked another 76 strikes in. No water in Kiev. No electricity in Kharkiv. 50% of entire grid down. And this is according to the UkroNazis. So Much Winning!
Well…this General has given a mea culpa, face saving strategy that preceeds the ultimate surrender, or at least a “come to terms” with Russia. By admitting to what is the current situation he has enabled all Ukraine pols and military to have a face saving way out. It is the “we gave it our all, fought against the odds, but in the end…” game plan.
While the surrender process is ongoing, Ukraine can use the press to garner warm feelings from the Western world. Well, warm feelings from the Western pols, the citizens while freezing their starving, hungry butts off will likely feel quite different about Ukraine.
Without electricity, heat and water, large numbers of civilians will be evacuating Ukraine just to survive the winter. The strategy of depending on the civilian population as a source of cannon fodder and human shields is unraveling. The narrative has collapsed.
How horrible for the ordinary person. I have small kids. If it was dark and freezing and we had to try to get out of our house and country to survive it would be horrific. Imagine if you have sick kids or elderly parents.
War is horrible. The looks on civilian faces as our truck goes past broken streets and these kids look up at you with fear and you look back maybe smile but the smell of fear and death are everywhere and you are the one holding the gun and you think wtf is this. Then you stop thinking because it’s better that way.
There is nothing good about modern wars. It is a case of necessary evil. Or just evil. No other case exists.
This comment may be be a bit off topic but gives I think a good idea way this war is taking place and why it won’t end as per Finn Cunningham interview of Richard Black Former Senator Virginia.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZouDrBd5pM
Given that the interviews were in a major Western publication, I would suppose the interviews were for messaging to Western people and supporters. If there is any message it seemed to be the West should open up the military stockpiles as the Ukrainian army was willing and able to defeat the Russians if only they got the stuff they are asking for.
However, the good leading general broke the narrative of the Russians being old drunken incompetent military which is still the favored narrative in the West.
Even the Pope is calling for people to spend less on Christmas gifts and have a “more humble Christmas.” Then send the extra money to Ukraine.
Zelensky’s wife could use it. She just spent $40, 000 on a recent European shopping trip.
The general is clever.
Put the blame of loss on the West not supplying weapons.
Remove the argument that Russians are incompetent and therefore a serious army therefore you need to get serious and supply us weapons.
His comments about Crimea appear to be an analogy, this is what we can do and will do if you just give us what we want.
He also holds door open for settlement, basically saying, if you don’t supply us what we need then we will be put in a position where we enter a bad settlement for peace. And the blame will be on you for failing us when we were ready to give everything. So get going bitches.
Good comment. It is the US that must live up to its promises.
….and we know western promises aren’t worth the toilet paper they’re wiped on, so there you go. Game over.
I am sure the Vatican will kick in some of their Trillions. The largest real estate owner in the world I believe. Art treasures and gold looted from every area of the world.
For the record: There is supposed to be an election in the Ukraine this spring. The general may be the only person that the nazis & the CIA/MI6 cannot assassinate. Right now, he can pick up his secure phone & call one his buddies from the old days; ‘Igor, this is Max, what are your terms’? There is something left of the Ukraine now, after the Russian offensive, nothing.
Zaluzhny is a legitimate military man who, I suspect, is quite tired of the Zelensky theatrics. Zaluzhny is responsible for his military, and the fact that Zelensky, Western political concerns, and US infiltration, prevent him from acting on what he would consider prudent military decisions, must be frustrating. Frankly, I’m surprised there hasn’t already been a military coup.
Yep…I am totally perplexed why there have been no military coup. My only best guess is that even the top military leaders are neo-nazi’s or, are being threatened by neo-nazi’s in their midst.
I cannot imagine any military officer of any competence, and concern about his troops, putting them into the mindless meat grinder that they have been put. I just can’t reason it unless someone had a gun at his head, or the heads of his family.
There’s nothing surprising about it. Ukraine is US run show. They do what they are told, when they are told. There will be military coup only when/if US says so. Current order is to fight Russians till the last Ukrainian.
Must be arts and crafts time @ Florence Supermax, Ted Cazynsky seems to be making letter bombs for Xmas.
The general is acknowledging some hard truths that can’t be denied.
But his main message is “WE NEED MORE WEAPONS.”
And implicit in that statement is “WE WILL LOSE” without those weapons.
This is for Western consumption.
But Nato countries simply don’t have the weapons, even if they wanted to send them.
The only good thing the general implicitly stated, “we don’t need more men, we have enough.”
This is good because that lessens the chance of Nato troops on the ground in Ukraine.
I won’t speculate about General Zaluzhnyi’s motives for giving that interview, but he shows signs of being an aware general. This makes him a danger to both the Russians and Natolanders. This brings me to some questions which I’ve had for a while:
Why haven’t the Russians decapitated Ukraine’s military by eliminating the highest ranks (generals, colonels, majors) of the officer corps? What are they afraid of? Or do they lack the ability? Those leaders are loyal to Natoland, so they would have to go away anyway. Striking the shepherds could shorten the war, reducing loss of life among Ukrainian grunts. It would also put Natoland in a terrible bind. If the military leadership were decapitated, NATO would have to choose immediately between the bad options of (i) appointing possibly unsuitable Ukrainian officers for senior positions and propping them up, (ii) putting Natoland officers in direct command in a way that can’t be disguised, (iii) abandoning the Ukrainian state to its fate sooner than expected and commencing with the next phase of the project to subvert Russia.
Related questions: How many civilian police forces have the Russians destroyed? Any in cities like Kiev and Lvov? Cops have the same job everywhere: To serve and protect the ruling class and petty organized criminals who have fallen out of favor with the ruling class. So administering a kill shot against the Ukrainian police is an obvious tactic for forcing the Ukrainian state to its knees. And isn’t the SBU still running around unmolested, more or less? What about Kyrylo Oleksiyovych Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine? He shouldn’t be allowed a single good night’s rest.
Some more questions: Have the Russians wrecked the entire telecommunications infrastructure of Ukraine? We’ve all head about Ukraine using Starlink, but it seems that soldiers, politicans, and regular civilians are still able to communicate via telephony with common handheld mobile devices. This usually requires mobile phone towers and telco CO’s (central offices), to which the mobile phone towers are connected. POTS (plain old telephone service), too, won’t work without those CO’s. And what about network POP’s (points of prescence) of Internet service providers? and backbone networks which connect the cities to each other and other countries? Have the Russians attacked and destroyed backup power generation systems which are often connected directly to telecoms network equipment?
Pardon me if these questions appear naive, but I don’t hear many commenters talking in detail about the subjects mentioned above. So it would be very interesting to read a report about what’s happening in each area.
Zaluzhnyi & Zelensky & co. are not in charge here. Killing them won’t change a thing, and will only make them look like heroes. Ukrainian military is run by NATO. Russians can’t decapitate NATO, because of WWIII stuff. AFU did lose a bunch of officers, and NATO is filling up the gaps as best as they can.
Ukraine was the most corrupt country in the Europe (they are probably going for World title now). You can imagine the state of it’s police. Ukrainian state has been on it’s knees for a while, but it’s being pushed forward by The West. The only parts of it that still function are military and SBU. SBU, being modern day equivalent of Gestapo, do what Gestapo does but with more wokeness.
Shooting at cell towers and generators would make even Russians run out of cruise missiles.
Telecommunications infrastructure is left mostly unharmed, for now. Everything they destroy, Russians will probably have to rebuild eventualy. Keeping destruction minimal makes sense in the long run. Even Putin recently said that this is going to take a while. That makes a lot of sense, considering that Russians are not fighting Ukraine but The West.
I expected responses like yours. Here are my rebuttals.
“Zaluzhnyi & Zelensky & co. are not in charge here”: Point conceded previously with my remark about loyalty to Natoland.
“Killing them [senior ranks of the military] won’t change a thing”, HOWEVER you added later that “The only parts of it [Ukraine] that still function are military”. Think about that for a few moments before you react again.
So, the RF ought not to cripple Ukraine’s military by eliminating the top ranks? The RF would be in great shape if they had no strategic obstructionists like you among them. Now, I can’t state for certain that the leadership and management is so crippled, but Putin’s years of appeasement suggests to me, at least, that such folks have been favored. Here, too, we find a hint that this war rhymes with the Union vs. the Confederacy in the USA. Each side’s military was led by men who knew enemy officers personally and who, in some cases, may have been friends of those enemy officers. The analogy is imperfect, of course, but my guess is the the RF’s military remains crippled by sentimentality biased in favor of officers.
“Killing them…will only make them look like heroes”: Ukraine has acquired hundreds of thousands of new military heroes this year. A few more won’t matter much, and getting the shepherds out of the way is a prerequisite to discrediting all of the leadership. Even you admit that the shepherds have some competency, which is just what you don’t want an enemy to have. And remember my remark about curtailing injuries and losses among the grunts.
“SBU, being modern day equivalent of Gestapo, do what Gestapo does but with more wokeness”: All the more reason to have destroyed the SBU long ago. The RF’s shortcomings here invite awkward questions about Putin’s mental fitness, and about some rot withing the RF’s other leaders. Emotional conflicts, perhaps?
“Telecommunications infrastructure is left mostly unharmed, for now”: Source(s)?
“Telecommunications infrastructure is left mostly unharmed, for now”: This greatly increases the effectiveness of the military, the SBU, and civilian logistics supporting the Ukrainian state. Surely it makes it easier to communicate with Ukraine’s supervisors and managers outside Ukraine, like when they solicit donations for money and weapons. If you are correct, the safety of the telecoms assets needs a better explanation than anything I’ve read or heard yet.
“Shooting at cell towers and generators would make even Russians run out of cruise missiles”: Destroying telecoms infrastructure would contribute greatly to management problems of the other public utilities upon which the Russians have expended many missles already. Also, the technology has advanced greatly. Swarms of cheap little drones, including ordinary copters, would destroy towers and bu generators by the score and entice Natoland’s Ukrainian military to expend their missiles in a hurry. Or to save them for the cruise missles as they are now.
“Everything they destroy, Russians will probably have to rebuild eventualy”: They are destroying a great deal of infrastructure already, and that is likely to be as difficult and more expensive to rebuild. Probably a better explanation is that the Russians are still clinging vainly to the hope that Ukrainians will cooperate in good faith by negotiating an armistice or truce.
“Keeping destruction minimal makes sense in the long run”: How did you type this one with a straight face? Have you not seen any videos of rubblized villages and towns?
“Even Putin recently said that this is going to take a while”: Well, he ought to know if he’s obstructing reasonable tactics and strategies to force Ukraine to its knees. “considering that Russians are not fighting Ukraine but The West”, this submission is a necessary condition of uprooting all of Natoland’s pests from the territory. Meanwhile his soldiers are taking more casualties than are necessary.
Now, it’s clear that the RF must avoid spooking so many of Natoland’s demons all at once that the demons overreact with a great mobilization for war. The RF is badly outnumbered. (China is almost worthless to the RF as an ally in any war against Natoland.) Maybe the choice of targets (e.g. power gen and distribution) is motivated by desire to make Ukrainian civilians experience suffering which they cultivated themselves when they turned a blind eye to—or actively assisted in—Natoland’s takeover of Ukraine. Still, everyone became conditioned months ago to the harshness of this war. So it looks like the RF is trying to avoid victory over Ukraine. Probably there is some fear about what must come next, namely, settling affairs with Natoland elsewhere in the eastern hemisphere.
I guess I was wrong thinking that you just wanted some answers to questions which you’ve had for a while. You, on the other hand, are wrong thinking that I was interested in arguing over Internet.
Just to clarify:
“Everything they…”: …Probably a better explanation is that the Russians are still clinging vainly to the hope that Ukrainians will cooperate in good faith by negotiating an armistice or truce. Telephones would be very useful to this end, so they decided to keep the lines in good working order. There will be much to discuss, even after an initial settlement. Another reason is that a telecoms infrastructure is needed after the fall of Ukraine so that Ukrainians themselves can coordinate their cooperation with the Russians.
it is becoming quite obvious to everyone that watches alt media that the war in the ukraine has taken a total turn in favour of russia. I think the general is just getting ahead of what is going to happen. in terms of a major offensive look up jan 12th, 1945 and check what happened on that day in ww2 history. i do not think that the russians are going to put up with the shelling of donets city too much longer before the full fury of their righteous indignation kicks in.

Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson looks at the economic reality and population loss in Ukraine.
Today’s lecture-broadcast deals again with the war in Ukraine, using the Russian and pro-Russian media as its main source of content.
This is because many of these sources are banned in Europe and shadow-banned in the USA. These media outlets are far more trustworthy than the west because they are often on the ground and are not being forced to ascribe to the west’s narrative.
The economy is now at fourth world levels while, in several areas, the population loss has been as high as 70 percent. The economic ramifications of this are immense, and this is the core of today’s talk.

So many are confused about why the the west (WEF psychos) want war. As always follow the money. Martin Armstrong has been warning about this for many years. Here is a link to a post from his public blog from today.

my comment – the real interesting part to me of this podcast was starting at the 49 minute mark where the male guest said that russia is a civilization state and the russia is trying to put the genie back in the bottle. this is a cultural war between russia and the usa . russia is trying to reestablish christianity and the usa is trying to destroy it. The usa could care less about ukraine. Russia and the USA have traded places. Russia is being used by God to chastize the west

We’ve seen this is the past whenever it appears ‘elensky’s nearing his used by date. If he moves to Florida and Zaluzhnyi takes over nothing much is going to change on the ground militarily beyond the suicidal offensive actions may stop.
Interesting question would ‘elensky be dropped so Zaluzhnyi would be told by the west to negotiate a settlement?
“Interesting question would ‘elensky be dropped so Zaluzhnyi would be told by the west to negotiate a settlement?”
Could be what this is all about for the US. Give yourself some off-ramp options.
President ‘elensky was perfectly acceptable to the Russian Federation back in April, but I think once he started calling the Russians sub-human Orcs and baby rapers and much worse things I blush to repeat in public, I believe he is now unwelcome to the folks in the Kremlin as the chief negotiator for the soon to be Ukraine rump state.
Because that is what Ukraine is going to be, a rump state, and the only question remaining in this post-referendum phase of this conlict, is how big of a rump will the Ukrainians be allowed to maintain.
I mean, it’s one thing to be an insignifcant rump state, it is quite another to be a landlocked one.
Odessa! All eyes turn to you, my beautiful crown jewel of the Black Sea!
Get out while you can Ukies, is my advice, for Putin will be happy to leave you Odessa, because that’s how the man rolls. Less than a year ago, despite all the blood that had already been shed, he was more than willing to give you back the two Donbas oblasts, almost begged you to take them, yet now he has been reluctantly forced, by you (!), to requisition four of your oblasts and sworn to defend each of them to the death.
Keep this behavior pattern up my Ukie friends, and you won’t even be an insignificant landlocked rump state, you won’t be anything all.

Where are the diplomats? Portions of the Maiden revolution were honest. It wasn’t all CIA… many peoples in the west Ukraine wanted to share an EU type of future. The Dombas region wanted to share a Russia type of future. NATO’s lies to Russia are so numerous with the arms treaties… it’s a wonder the Kremlin will even answer the phone from the west.
The empire of lies.
Russia insists on being paid in Money…while the US insists on paying in currency.

The bankers will sacrifice Germany, they will fight to the last Ukrainian..next they sacrifice the people of Poland… to nuclear war. All to protect the sole right to create currency…and the ability to print for natural resources and value added services.
If the western controllers could beat back the Russia military…they will just go to a full nuclear launch. A world with no Russia, is a destruction of the world. We all die together.
Listening to Macgregor on Redacted, based on weapons fielded and 600,000 combat men in starting blocks, Ukraine fixin’ to get savaged soon as ground freezes. I mean like Grozny leveling. This clown is preparing us for that and to sign surrender. Zelinsky will be in Israel on a beach.
Today, the Chairman of United Russia and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, clearly expressed the idea of the possibility of considering the hybrid war unleashed by NATO as an entry into a conflict. You have to understand that the main enemy is not in Kiev, Lvov, Chernigov, but in Britain, well, and behind a larger puddle. If we admit that the alliance has entered the war with us, then only a threat to the British, a preemptive strike will allow these figures to come to their senses. There is no other option.
Otherwise, they will not stop deliveries from the Americans, they will supply adjustable bombs, they will take the last MiG-29s from Slovakia, they will send F-16s, Eurofighters, and other weapons. Let’s admit that NATO is at war with us in Ukraine. We must acknowledge this, declare it, and only a real threat or a preemptive strike will make everyone think. Why are 200,000 Poles preparing reservists? When the Ukrainians run out, they will go, then all the rest of their friends. We need to prepare for these challenges, look at them realistically.
Does this Ukraine Z smoke from same crack pipe as the other Z?

Telling that Russia has 20+ million in reserves would make western public want to surrender now. He doesn’t want that. He just wants to scare them a bit, and make them send more weapons.
“The Economist”
Another propaganda rag , thus this ‘general’s statements are at the same level as ‘ghost of kiev’ nonsense
This is the same Zaluzhnyi who at the time of the Russian withdrawal from the Westbank bridgehead said that Russia still needed two more days to withdraw from Kherson. With all the calm in the world. What I don’t understand is how so many military experts now think they announce withdrawals on television like Russia did!?! Without casualties! Negotiations have been going on for a long time and Zakharova herself came right after the withdrawal to say that the ball was in Ukraine’s side. And I think Russia also negotiated the cession of Kinburn headland in the south but don’t ask me why. Now I believe that negotiations of this size cannot be closed in 24 hours and that both Ukraine and the US still have many problems to solve such was the propaganda campaign. Which has always been the only US strategy to try to overthrow Putin. Nobody thinks that the US military is so incompetent that they thought they were defeating Russia on its border! And the truth is that I hear more criticism of Putin on public television from the terrible Russian dictatorship than Biden – who provoked the conflict – on US private television. Except perhaps Fox with a very defined target that no longer makes anyone change their minds.
And don’t think that the US is going to leave Ukraine assuming defeat. Easier to see the old senile and corrupt Biden with a saint’s halo like a F1! And the change of protagonist in Ukraine that was always foreseen is also related to the way in which the spindoctors are working to publicize the “withdrawal” of the US. From what NATO has already begun to say, they will still say that they saved the world from WWIII and the nuclear abyss. That only they created it! Especially because Russia has never been in the propaganda business as we were always led to believe throughout the cold war. If we don’t think of the Cuban missile crisis, a Russian reaction 100% achieved that the world has always seen as a provocative action by Russia and a great defeat!! All because Kennedy got Khrushchev to keep the missiles in Turkey a secret for 50 years!!! Which was the only reason Russian missiles flew to Cuba. And after the agreement that the US lifted the missiles from Turkey, Russia, pragmatic as always, remained silent with the objective achieved. After years of trying to reach him through diplomatic channels. Even the story that it was a Russian dissident who told MI6 about the missiles in Cuba was just that… a story. A Russian dissident who never left Russia. It must still be the family of the spies that Putin poisons in Trafalgar Square!
And militarily, no one thinks this was a terrible defeat for the Washington establishment either. That emptied many warehouses of rubble that will have to be filled again. And what the lend lease law – dated before the 24th of February, such was the surprise for the US – says is that much of the arsenal sent to Ukraine is at the expense of the EU and not of bankrupt Ukraine! It will most likely be another 50 years of remittances from Europe to the US! And we’re still going to see how Europe’s relations with Russia are now that Scholz is also already changing the needle in a loud voice.
As for the protagonists, it is clear that Zelensky was discarded a long time ago, as was always foreseen. I don’t know if it was forced or premeditated with the missile that landed in Poland. But he fulfilled his role as an actor well during the allotted time. So I’m not surprised that an Oscar or even a Nobel like Walesa comes along. Incidentally, one of the things that most shocked me about this conflict was not exactly Churchill’s peacock in a t-shirt, but the total lack of credibility of all the NGOs in which, at one time or another in history, we deposit or have deposited some real hope. Like the UN itself without any credibility with reports of war crimes while the war is going on?!?!? Does anyone remember UN war crimes reports in the first year from Iraq or Afghanistan. Or in some US war? But the world urgently needs a strong UN!
I believe that Ukraine may even be having a lot of trouble convincing neo-Nazi nationalists and the US and EU having a lot of trouble convincing the West that it’s better to change the needle! Russia, on the other hand, is not in the mood to go ahead with the so-called offensive. Russia did not even respond to the attack on its strategic base which I consider the greatest damage Ukraine has inflicted on Russia in the entire conflict! Regardless of only taking out a bomber’s tail. For me the main intention of this mass of troops was always the same as the great mass of troops on the border of Ukraine in February. And the same for the attack on the electricity grid. Purely demobilizing! Purely psychological! Russia has been playing around with Ukraine’s electricity grid for a month. Blow up some transformers and some distribution centers, let the Ukrainians fix them and then destroy them again! And most likely it will be like this until the end.
Because Russia entered Ukraine just thinking about negotiations with the aim of causing as little damage as possible. To Ukraine and its troops. Russia wanted to consolidate Crimea and is just liberating Donbass with all the calm in the world. The denazification in my opinion was soon resolved in Mariupol. So much so that it even freed some Nazis. And much of what it will still achieve will never reach our ears. That’s exactly what peace agreements are for. As it was just now learned of the demand for a Russian member in the Security Council of Ukraine during the Istanbul negotiations. And the same can happen with the missiles in Poland and Romania, fundamental for Russia.
And this is where this Zaluzhnyi fits well for the US to say that it was Ukraine that wanted to surrender or a ceasefire and the US never wants to overrule Kiev’s will. What Zaluzhnyi has literally said in this interview and we pretend that we believe in the good will of the US. All that remains is to convince the rest of the population about which we in the West also never knew rigorously anything other than propaganda. And the truth is that it was even hidden from us that in 2014 the majority of the population of Ukraine never supported Maidan. And I don’t know who’s going to convince the nationalists or whether it’s still necessary to convince the nationalists. Maybe with the Odessa charter and the danger of a landlocked nation. Or maybe there aren’t even a relevant number of nationalists anymore. This conflict on our side only had one story: PROPAGANDA
“And the truth is that it was even hidden from us that in 2014 the majority of the population of Ukraine never supported Maidan.”
In fantasy lands of “perception management” and ball grabbing without consequence, acquiescence is interpreted as support whilst “We the people hold these truths to be self-evident”, and hence hiding is not deemed necessary as the target audience are averse to seeking, substituting wishing and hoping to avoid unpleasant bending, Mr. Rove’s observation of “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are the ones you should concentrate on” refers.
” This conflict on our side only had one story: PROPAGANDA”
It never was and still is not “our side” partly as a function of “We the people hold these truths to be self-evident.”
“The United States of America” from inception were/are networks of coercive social relations in hope of sustainability, not restricted to a “nation state” misrepresented as The United States of America which was never united or encompassed the Americas (plural) despite the “Monroe doctrine”, hence their priorities including but not limited to “defence budgets”.
“The United States of America” has always been at war with the world including themselves externally and internally through various vectors/forms including but not restricted to Russia or Ukraine, the continuing “crazed desire” being a function of their increasing perceptions that the rest of the world have increased the spectra of various vectors and resolve in cooperation to transcend “The United States of America” with the complicity of “The United States of America”.
All conflicts of “The United States of America” were and continue to be predicated on degrees of “perception management” and coercion through various vectors – minds and balls in interaction – decreases of opportunities of ball grabbing requiring an increase in “perception management” in increasing environments where familiarity breeds contempt limiting vectors and potency , simultaneously underming “perception management” and ball grabbing, thereby restricting the “target audience” primarily to themselves, increasing the reliance of “The United States of America” on mirror gazing in emulation of Mr. Rove.
