The Biden Administration is not good at logic. Watch Biden’s National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, insist that Ukraine is doing swell and that the United States must send cluster bombs because both Ukraine and the United States have run out of conventional 155mm shells. What?
The Biden Administration, in keeping with its established track record, performed another policy making back flip by agreeing to send illegal cluster bombs to Ukraine. The real news in Sullivan’s malevolent cheerleading for the destruction of Ukraine is his admission that the United States has depleted its stock of 155 military shells and now, out of desperation, signed on to provide a banned munition that he hopes will break the morale and the defense of the Russians. Any chance that the cocaine found in the White House library belongs to Sullivan? Just asking.
The next video encapsulates the reality Russia confronts — this is not just a crazy policy advocated by Biden, it is bipartisan insanity. The Republicans want more cow bell. Biden tells Fareed Zakharia that he will not support bringing Ukraine into NATO while the war rages in Ukraine because that would mean war with Russia. Give Dementia Joe some credit — he is right. It is the Republicans, with Lindsey Graham leading the charge, demanding that Ukraine be fast tracked to NATO membership. There is no voice of sanity in Washington calling for an end to U.S. provocations that risk a war with Russia.
In another moment of unusual clarity, Biden admits that NATO is divided and there is no consensus to support anointing Ukraine with NATO membership. Thank you Captain Obvious.
I am not sure how long Putin will be able to resist pressure from the Russian military to intensify the war and increase the targeting U.S. assets, such as the Global Hawk, that are facilitating the deaths of hundreds of Russian civilians. Can you imagine the outrage that would consume America if Russian supplied munitions were being used to kill U.S. citizens along the border with Mexico?
The absence of honest press coverage in the United States about the true state of the war in Ukraine is allowing Republicans and Democrats to embrace false narratives about Ukraine’s “success” on the ground. Russia’s only option is to step up its attacks on decision making centers and troop assembly sites in Ukraine. If the deaths of hundreds of foreign mercenaries start being reported in their home countries then the Western media may finally be compelled to do some honest reporting. I recall that it was the reporting by U.S. correspondents on the ground in Vietnam that played a vital role in awakening the American public to the futility of the war in Vietnam. A similar dose of truth is needed now to awake the American people from their slumber of delusion.
At this point, I’m hoping for the Rapture….assuming it’s true!
Rapture?
Wikipedia say: Democracy … is a form of government in which THE PEOPLE HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DELIBERATE AND DECIDE LEGISLATION (“direct democracy”) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy
“We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.” – Abraham Lincoln https://www.rutherford.org/publications_resources/john_whiteheads_commentary/overthrow_the_government_all_the_ways_in_which_our_rights_have_been_usurped_short
The USA people. WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?
Okay, good one. I laughed.
Your leadership….
Your bureaucracy.
“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. ”
~Declaration of Independence
We in the US have not yet reached an intolerable level of suffering. Tick-tock.
I believe a little serious reading of history concerning Abraham Lincoln might be in order.
I suspect you are referring to how he gutted the constitution and destroyed the original intent of a republic of free and independent states.
En ningun pais hay democracia.
solo pueblos adormecidos por los medios de comuniccion.
This is the most common myth in the West. We live in totalitarian states that pretend to embrace and rule by democracy but it’s all a pathetic and evil charade. The Deep State in the USA has been rigging elections for decades and blaming it on anyone but themselves. They assassinated JFK because he wanted more peace in the world. Then the Ameican public elected the CIA director who had Kennedy assassinated to the Presidency and his dimwitted son as well. Does this sound like democracy or a bad third world dictatorship?
Yeah. After all, that’s one reason why you have the right to bear arms – so you can overthrow an ‘overweening government’. And if any government is ‘overweening’ it surely is the Biden drugocracy. Let’s see the old NRA go for it. Get yer guns out boys.
Wo bleibt die Revolte…?
It happens when you die.
At this point I’m hoping for five (5) 25-megaton nukes to be dropped on Washington, DC. One each upon the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, the US Capitol Building (formerly known as “the People’s House”), and the White House. That’s all the rapture I need.
What a irresponsible thing to write. 125-mega ton in total would surely hurt the whole world.
Some, mostly young and foolish, think dropping a nuke is no big deal without consequences.
Here is how you know when you will die if a nuke is detonated near you.
If you hear it, you will die within 24 hours at most assuming you are as far away as possible and still can hear it. If you could only see it, you will die in two weeks a slow and painful death. I would choose to die without delay.
I hope this will keep you from wishing for hell on earth.
Sim. Me parece que o mundo caminha para o abismo, através de uma conflagração nuclear. Como brasileiro e colonizado, o que sinto pelos EUA é nojo.
Don’t forget Silicon Valley!
FWIW I think the megatonnage you’re suggesting would be overkill. If you hit each of those targets with precision, a few kilotons each would suffice.
Five 25-megaton weapons would incinerate all the surrounding counties and most of their inhabitants… including hundreds of thousands of immigrants (mostly illegal, I grant you) who only came to El Norte for a better life.
I think precision strikes using smaller tactical-nuke payloads would spare their lives … but also give them an object lesson in why they made a BIG mistake coming here.
If one has been paying attention one would know that the Russians have the ability to deliver precision strikes that would achieve the same effect without the use of nuclear weapons.
That, right there, was where the game changed and the Anglo-Zionist strategy had a terminal impact with reality
You guys are sick in the head with talk like this. This is a serious discussion site not some place to play WW3 scenarios and the death of billions of people.
To WWIIDaughter7: There’s no “rapture” like the Baptist Church says, and the word itself is not used in the Bible. BUT…
Yes, Jesus Christ is indeed coming back to Earth at some point, for He says so Himself. (And all those who don’t believe He’s coming back like Jesus Himself says… they essentially call the sinless Son-of-God a liar.)
That said, Bible prophecy does indeed point to the time frame… proven by the Bible itself matched up with verifiable history. Not to be a spoiler, but I’ve read the proof… it will occur in 1 of 3 given years between 2450 AD and 2700 AD. The years themselves are known, but which one it will be is not known. If interested (because I’m not going to mention the years here), see http://www.worldwarnings.com
For those who disagree, you’re not disagreeing with me. I’m simply telling you what Jesus said about His Return (that He WILL return), and what Bible prophecy says. And for those who think we’re not allowed to know the time, ask yourself: Is knowing 3 different years within a 250-year time frame “knowing the time” ? No.
So anyway, WWIIDaughter7, if you’re hoping for Christ to come back soon, you might just prepare yourself now to meet your Maker. That way, when you fall asleep (die), you can take a long easy rest in the grave, and the first thing you’ll see when you wake up is Christ coming back to take you to Heaven. Amen ? Amen.
ROFLMAO!!! ….I gotta sick sense of humor too friend.
Now that I’m done laughing I must say it’s a valid point.
Well, we already have the ‘Rupture’!
I just read this headline and I was crushed. Ohhhh…my Snickers & M & Ms!! Nothing more to live for now! JK! “American Candy Makers Mars, M&M’s Under Russian Lens for ‘Funding’ Ukraine Army amid War”
Junk food. Russia will be thanking them for the opportunity to bid them farewell.
Trust me, Russia has plenty of their own junk food. Snickers type of bars (that are amazing, real sugar).
I saw this and it brought on more disgust. What is this? It damn sure isn’t trying to win. Someone let me know. If what I have heard about these munitions is true its just plain nauseating. Doubt they could make an overwhelming difference.
It’s like they’re seeing what it will take to push Russia into a once-and-for-all drive that will end it. Maybe not intentional and just some Freudian thing, but I have this uneasy feeling that the cluster bombs may be the straw that gets Russia to say “enough” and get nasty.
Maybe drop a few cluster bombs on Vilnius. This whole thing is looking like a bad “B” movie on our side while Russia is playing for keeps.
Bombs need aircraft, aircraft cannot survive in the Rooskie AD environment, cluster artillery rounds will very rapidly cause artillery systems to become the Lancet target of choice. NATO cannot win this, its very likely the US Empire and, risible Rules Based Order, cannot survive in its present form while simultaneously engaged in the Ukraine, threatening war with China and BRICS de-dollarisation of world trade.
Points to note – 1). Amateurs discuss Wonder Waffen fantasies, 2)Pros deliver log support to and planning for their forces, its not usual to see General Staffs engaged in 1.
Have you seen all the Patriot missile systems Germany has sent to Vilnius, I heard it was 12 patriots plus many other air defence systems to protect all of the NATO leaders. Would be great time to send a hypersonic missile or two to let them know first hand that the Patriot missiles can’t stop Russian Missiles and convince whoever is left to make peace
Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl:
Re: Biden’s decision to supply anti-civilian personnel cluster munitions….“The worst thing for civilians in Ukraine is for Russia to win the war. And so it’s important that they don’t.”
(IOW: We’ll accept the civilian casualties, how noble of us. Besides…..it fits right in with Ukraine’s desire to cleanse these terrorist civilians (as they’ve called them) from their precious Ukraine.)
However, he added: “Kiev had promised not to use cluster munitions in civilian-populated urban areas and to keep records of where the weapons are deployed to make future de-mining efforts easier.”
Kiev has promised! Kiev makes lots of promises, never keeps a one. Interesting how this latest tranche of the war began because Ukraine had been shelling civilian areas since 2014. But they promised not to any more. Well, OK then. Meanwhile, they don’t even keep track of their own mines. The man lives in another universe. I’ll leave you to describe who inhabits that place.
Jen Psaki in 2022: “The use of cluster munitions could potentially be regarded as a war crime.”
So Jen: Your old boss is both a hypocrite AND a potential war criminal. Hmm, OK then. Thanks for sharing.
PS: Have we gone full fascist yet, Joe……or is there more to come?
Long live Democracy “ORDER BASED ON RULES” – JAJAJAJAJA
—-
“We the people” have been terrorized, traumatized, and tricked into a semi-permanent state of compliance by a government that cares nothing for our lives or our liberties.
The bogeyman’s names and faces have changed over time, but the end result remains the same: in the so-called name of national security, the Constitution has been steadily chipped away at, undermined, eroded, whittled down, and generally discarded with the support of Congress, the White House, and the courts.
What we are left with today is but a shadow of the robust document adopted more than two centuries ago. Sadly, most of the damage has been inflicted upon the Bill of Rights.
https://www.rutherford.org/publications_resources/john_whiteheads_commentary/overthrow_the_government_all_the_ways_in_which_our_rights_have_been_usurped_short
We will be with Ukraine all the way to the end.
Back at the WH oval office.
Victoria Nuland:
Ukraine needs more ammunition right now.
Biden:
Tell Zelensky that we have no more 155 Ammunition, but we will deliver 155 Cluster ammunition.
WH Legal counsel:
But Mr. President most Nations in Europe have banned the use of cluster ammunition, and will most likely down vote your suggestion before the NATO summit.
Biden:
Exactly.
WH legal Council:
But Mr. President how will you then keep your promise to Ukraine?
Hillary coming out behind the curtain in the oval office, screaming at the WH Council:
Oh Shut up you twit!! what difference does it make at this stage.
Biden:
Well I tried my best to keep my promise, but the Europeans are to blame that I won’t be able to fulfill it.
Has anybody watched these videos of all these Leopard tanks and Bradley M-2s trapped and blown up in a minefield. Has anybody seen the live drone footage of AFU forces stepping on mines and losing feet?
These cluster bombs are just mines on the cheap. If Russia is winning, then why the need for all these mines?
Because this is what war looks like. Only Lady Diana, squgglies and snuggies ask: “Why can’t we have a war without all this dying, all this maiming, and all this mutilating.”
This is called total war. Except World War 3 is a total undeclared war. Right now, we are having a real World War that nobody is taking responsibility for. Endless delusional thinking.
This is still very far indeed from being total war. Thankfully…
Driezen has a collection of them.
Biden is using scorched earth tactics. Cluster bombs kill more civilian than soldiers, mostly children.
The US used clusters in Iraq with devastating effect on Iraqi children.
Killing more civilians than soldiers is the essence of US way of war. That’s why all those experts can not grasp what Russians are doing. They think that war with this ratio of soldier/civilian casualties is something that can/should not exist, and they are doing their best to bring things back to “normal”.
Sullivan declares whatever it takes to secure the tribe’s “New Jerusalem” agenda
Is putin waiting till they send nuclear weapons to start this war? Why start a war you don’t intend to fight? No one is impressed with Russia’s half ass efforts so war will escalate until Armageddon. Shoulda came in hard and attacked those NATO ISR at least.
Saying this will just get you called a troll by the mouth breathing 5D Chess True Believers here and on Moon Of Alabama.
Ah, don’t look now, pal, but the “true believers” side is winning hands down. The “let’s bomb everything to hell with everything in Moscow’s arsenal” side, on the other hand, are little more than Lindsey Graham turned inside out, blustering buffoons. I’m very glad that true believers are in charge at the Kremlin.
Meanwhile in the real world, Prokopenko and the Mariupol Azov nazis have been released by Erdoğan and are back in Ukranazistan, already declaring their intention to go right back to the front. How many times is Putin going to be taken advantage of before the Putin Plays 55555D Chess cultists finally realise maybe he isn’t all that good at this?
The True Believers aren’t fighting, let alone winning. The True Believers are all keyboard warriors very, very far away from the scene of action. The people fighting and winning are not True Believers.
Russia lost. You can open champagne.
“… already declaring their intention to go right back to the front.”
That’s a real gamechanger. They really pulled a fast one on Putin. Russian soldiers are scared shitless.
What do you think is going to happen to those ubermensch on the frontline? Serious question. In Turkey they were safe. Now they might eat an Iskander at their favourite pizzeria behide the frontline, or a can of whoop-ass in the trenches. I am sure that unit they get in will recieve extra rations.
Puting Nazis on the frontline sounds good to me, but what do I know.
You need to make a blog, and show how it’s done.
When Putin gets the definitive signal that Ukraine will join NATO, he will leave nothing of Ukraine to join.
Only then does Putin go from Low-ranger, first gear into high-range overdrive.
After all Russia needs to shock and awe NATO by unfortunately punishing the monkey and letting the organ grinder go.
@Biswapriya Purkayastha —
It’s called “maintaining a low-grade conflict”, which is precisely Russia’s aims in the SMO anyway. A longstanding, but very “low-grade” conflict (a few firefights here and there, few casualties, etc…) — you get the point.
Or, as somewhat even more pessimistic folk than you would call it, “stalling for time”.
But, what exactly are you *expecting* from Russia? Do you actually expect Russia to make do on all its “fiery rhetoric” and all the “red lines” its politicians arbitrarily make up here and there? Hint — Russia, just like NATO, also has what is known as “propaganda for the masses”.
Chest-thumping pretending that NATO is just some paper tiger is part of the kool-aid the wide-eyed believers gleefully take up (especially among those who think that NATO has never heard of Sun Tzu’s old saying “look weak when you are strong” either).
If you want really Russia to actually “retaliate hard and strong” against the AFU, you’ll have to wait until the AFU crosses the “actual/real” red-lines for Russia
(however low they may actually be), and then see what Russia targets afterwards in its own so-called “retaliatory strikes” (might be quite a bit — when it actually happens. But yes, generally only on certain occasions — only when the “real” red-lines actually get crossed. So, you might have to wait — just like the rest of the more “hard-liner” Russian public, since revealing how “low” the “real” red-lines may be quite horrifying for the Russian public!).
But yes — the Russian government is prepared to “take on some losses” and concessions as well (hint — the incessant bombing and shelling of Donetsk, Belgorod, just for a small example!) all to maintain a low-grade (not “way too overly escalated”, even if it means a “long-running”) conflict as long as it means the amount of damage done against the Russians is “not too large” for the government to fix or cover up. Just only when the AFU “cross” that boundary (whether on purpose or accidentally), then, sure — then expect Russia to actually target important/critical infrastructure, ammo depots, and other juicy targets as well.
But, until then — understand that NATO is not a “paper tiger” for Russia to easily walk over and dominate. And also that the Russian government, despite their “fiery rhetoric” and “red lines” propaganda, also understands that as well. Russia does *not* want a full-scale war with US/NATO. But, given the state of its MIC, it is also *not* ready to take on the biggest military on the planet, and so has simply deferred to the strategy of “buying whatever time it can”.
This is also why NATO, and not so much Russia (as it would seem), is all about devising and throwing whatever new “wunderwaffen” it can into the fray. NATO is the side that wants to “end this as quickly as possible” (just, maybe not too expensively, though Ukrainian cannon fodder is cheap for them anyway). The Russian government, on the other hand, wants as “low-grade” conflict as possible, even if it means quite the long-running one. Time is on Russia’s side here (as its MIC, unlike NATO, has quite the new and up-and-coming potential to expand and grow).
But alas, none of this is something you can tell the likes of Prigozhin and possibly the greater Russian public and supporters, and expect any rapport from them in return anyway. So, my advice is simply just that — look at Russia’s actions, try to see what the “real/actual” red-lines are, and only then decide for yourself how well you think Russia can “actually” defend them (however low and/or hidden/obscure/etc those lines might actually be)…
This isn’t a war? Weird so many people dying from flying metal.
This not a war was started by the USA in 2014. Russia has correctly determined the west isn’t agreement worthy. If the goal is to kill nazis and they are willing to come to you then why attack?
This looks to me like political money laundering and money making gig for the MIC. A few billion here a few billion there.
Come work here Hunter Biden…you big oil man you.
Come visit us Nancy Pelosi…
Come visit us Rishi Sunak…
Come visit us …we help you see why to support us…
The stench is overwhelming to some of us.
When you are in charge, you will get to run the war the American Way: shock & awe to “victory” followed by 20 years of destruction, mayhem, starvation, then evacuation by helicopter off rooftops.
Not holding my breath waiting for you to be in charge, lol. Same goes for Bis below..
Victoria “Fuck the EU” Nuland’s idea, no doubt:
“The US is willing to offer Kiev a sort of security arrangement currently offered to Israel instead of membership in NATO, President Joe Biden told CNN in an interview previewed on Friday. ‘I don’t think it’s ready for membership in NATO,’
https://jamesburrillangell.substack.com/p/strange-diplomacy-victoria-fck-the
Doim,
Thank you very much for the reference.
https://jamesburrillangell.substack.com/p/strange-diplomacy-victoria-fck-the
It provided me with some great background.
Russia never learned bully 101. Punch him in the face, hit him with a bat, whatever he’ll go after an easier target. Instead Russia are slow walking us into WW3 with their attrition nonsense. Or Maybe Russia will quit.
If anybody learned bully 101 it’s Russia. Just check their history. They know they’re winning both economically and militarily as they drain NATO’s reserves. NATO is down to a few days worth of supplies for anything approaching a real conflict with Russia.
It’s looking more like a bunch of face jabs that may soon be followed by a kick in the nuts. Russia plays the longer game, and to win. We play “shock and awe” but only against second tier opponents.
The problem is that the bully is a coward and not on the battlefield! You are the ones who maybe don’t understand Russia! But all have big plans for Russia to lose hundreds of thousands of men! Exactly what the US has want since the 24th of February! For now there are only two ways to advance on the battlefield as you intend. Killing thousands of Ukrainian civilians or killing thousands of Russian soldiers! And Moscow is not interested in any of those ways! Why not campaign for a peace plan in Europe instead?
You are totally missing a much bigger picture.
You are totally missing a much bigger picture.
The Nazification of America? Nope, haven’t missed it. McFaul is at it again, rolling out Stanford’s red carpet to the Azov dog and pony show.
The US is the bully who would do what you suggest but is scared shitless by Russia so who has the correct method to win this war. US DARE NOT go to war with Russia cowards through and through who can only sit 10’s of thousands of feet above their enemy and bomb the crap out of them without risking their troops. They couldn’t fight Russia on the ground any better than Ukraine after all they were trained by the Americans in ineffective ways to fight Russia and no one has seen a war like this one, it has been said by many that no one in the west could envision the methods Russia has used
Those damn Russians never do what others want them to. It’ all their fault.
For some reason this conflict was provoked with all the Western media in the pocket. With a disinformation campaign that I never thought possible in the West. Because one thing was the sanitization of the US wars until the disclosure of some war crimes by Assange, another thing is the Western media all concerted to lie about the war in Ukraine. Cluster bombing is a heinous war crime under the Geneva convention, regardless of who signed the convention:
“The Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM) is an international treaty that prohibits all use, transfer, production, and stockpiling of cluster munitions, a type of explosive weapon which scatters submunitions (“bomblets”) over an area.”
And its dispatch can only mean that Ukraine is winning the war, of course. Like all desperate US climbs to date. Including doing what he swore never to do 6 months ago. So once again it can only indicate that everything is going well in Ukraine for Kiev and Washington!
We are only witnessing the treachery of the US wars that have been going on for many years. And it only continues to happen for two reasons. Because the US has never been bombed as it has already bombed half the world and because it has never been condemned for these bombings, many of which are illegal. Like in Yugoslavia or Iraq! All US Presidents of the past 30 years should be in jail!
Finally, it’s even hard to believe the shameless lies of a clown like Sulivan who doesn’t have the face to take a punch in the nose! A weasel that someone should have taken off the planet by now. How is it even possible to mention the consideration of Kiev or the US for Ukrainians? When we know perfectly well that everything that US send to the battlefield, Russia has 10 times more countermeasures? Just this week in response to the Makeevka bombing hundreds probably died in the Ukrainian Army Academy in Lviv!
And it was always the US to escalate a conflict where they only aim to kill Russian soldiers! Instead of behaving like a great nation and stopping a war where they have already realized that they no longer achieve any objective! And what happened to DU shells will happen to cluster bombs! And the English are so cowardly that they even hide the shit from the Challengers! American colleagues here excuse me, but the perfidy of the Anglo-Saxon world is showing levels of human indignity that are difficult to accept.
“the US has never been bombed”. Right. Americans need to experience the true horrors of war before they will understand its true meaning.
The USA exchanges ‘printed paper’ for real wealth (raw material, manufactured goods, and services) — the almighty dollar!
Two essentials for peace: ditch the dollar and bomb America (Sarmat? Poseidon? Both?)
Banderist already have and used cluster ammo as do the Russians , come one , only half of grad rockets are frags ! Grads are also used to disperse PFM1 petal mines , there are a collections of anti tanks mines releasing shells used on booth sides , go looking at all the cluster rockets or clusters shell systems available on wikipedia… guess what ? A lots of companies sell those while being in a country having signed the relative conventions on their usage…
The front-lines are already littered with UXO since 2014 anyway. A good investor should spend some money on some efficient large scale de-mining technologies : there are lots of money to be made in that activity in the near future 🙂
“. . . the US has never been bombed . . . .”
And that is the only way these endless wars and endless warmongering by the United States is stopped — when war is brought to the United States.
Bombing Washington, DC would be the perfect wake up call for all these demented old codgers and biddies running this fully dysfunctional geriatric wing called a government.
Five (5) 25-megaton nukes dropped on the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, the US Capitol Building (formerly known as “the People’s House”), and the White House would melt the ice cream of these elected for life professional politicians nicely.
“The Biden Administration is not good at logic. ” They don’t have to be. The American public is so dumbed down at this point that many think Joe is a super hero. This is repugnant beyond belief..
I’ve said this before but this “illogic” is deliberate. It’s a loyalty test. The more bizarre and illogical the statement, the more the political culture members have to abandon rationality to embrace it. And they do.
“The American public is so dumbed down…”
I don’t know that the majority thinks that.
My observation is that NOBODY in US thinks they have any way of speaking, changing, or influencing these policies in the slightest way – short of picking up a gun and for now they are not willing to do that, esp where that would currently be an individual act. Shooting practice yes, buying more guns, yes.
They know it is pointless. What typical USians don’t have is a path to take down the beast. No big deal; the how will arise.
One possible “how” I find interesting: there is this “left” meme about getting rid of SCOTUS. I’m all onboard with that, because it means defederalizing. Then the parts of the beast can rip each other to bits. Hello the Confederacy. At best. I don’t think the “left” gets it.
All this is grossly painful to me, classic old-school anti-authoritarian, anti-corporate, populist lefty sort that I am. Oy! A pain in all the diodes up and down my left side!
How do Americans put up with these stupid liars as leaders?
I am filled with disgust by just watching Biden and his Sullivan tell blatant lies that can be easily debunked by anyone with an iota of brain cell!
The Russians must be thinking that they are dealing with epically insane people.
They know that they’re dealing with insane maniacs and I think that’s why they’re exercising caution in the the way they are persuing the SMO
Nobody wants wwIII and the u is so unhinged and frenzied- anything could happen and when it does the blame will inevitably be slopped all over Putin and Russia. They’re at least trying to be reasonable and sane
I totally agree but Larry is right, that is the media’s role in Democracy. Its the media that is fueling this war every day!
You are never going to arrive at real answers unless you are willing to ask the real questions. You are never going to arrive at real solutions until you are willing to face the real problems.
The United States doesn’t have a democracy. Nobody does. The United States has a Constitutional Republic with some — SOME — democratic principles which have all been revoked.
Look at the French government now calling their citizens “vermin.”
Look at the Dutch farmers and the Dutch government, who is attempting to remove the right of the Dutch people to own property. And if the Dutch professional politicians pull this off, civil forfeiture will take a big leap forward here in the United States, and throughout what is left of the West.
Look at how the Canadian government dealt with the trucker rebellion.
They are finding cocaine in the White House.
Democracy? The United States is out there “saving the world” for something that does not exist. Our foreign policy is like blowing up critical civilian infrastructure, while purposively ignoring the collateral damage of declaring war on our allies (Germany), and destroying our allies’ first world economies, and not taking responsibility for any of it. As Blinken said about the blowing up of Nord Stream pipeline: “We should consider this an opportunity.” The hegemon speaks.
In a real Democracy the people are the deciders. The people vote and vote all the time. In a republic the people vote for who the deciders will be. The deciders decide to remain in power and rule forever. They rig elections. They dismantle the Constitution. They buy themselves a fully owned, fully controlled, fully manipulated, and fully propagandized so-called “free press.” They take away the right of the people to bear arms. They bestow Authoritarian, Totalitarian, and Dictatorial power on American institutions, like the IRS, who then turn upon the people.
Look around.
We don’t have a democracy. In fact, we have become the very thing my grandparents fought against in World War II.
This is a 100% true statement. It amazes me that there are still Americans who believe they have any control over this authoritarian regime. The “vote” is just theater, it is a single party rule in DC, the donors create the policy and the people lose on every issue. We are truly stupid
I fully agree. They don’t, but they already have! The US was once a Democracy and once had great journalists and major newspapers that already stopped wars as says Larry! Journalism was bought by the oligarchs and those who study neoliberalism know that buying sources of knowledge is the last phase of neliberalism. The US today is a very evident plutocracy. Who also managed to buy/kill international law, if not he would have been condemned by the war in Iraq. Instead of this ridiculous condemnation of Putin in record time! It’s amazing how people don’t realize that Washington is controlled by big lobbies. Foreign policy is almost entirely driven by the gun lobby. For the big banks and investors who control the MIC! For some reason America is always at war! There is no Democracy without free and independent journalism and regulated financial markets – corrupt Clinton’s greatest crime!
Complete ignorance. The US has NEVER been a democracy.
The Russians must be thinking that they are dealing with epically insane people.
Not just the Russians.
Well, there are still a few billion of us who think so ! 🙂
At lease the world seems to be coming around the how insane the United States is.
What is this “big deal” with that “abhorrent” munition? Neither the US, nor 404 and nor even the RF are signatories of this convention, so why is it such an “important escalation?”
Russkies will eventually marginalize the 404 armed forces and sign on enough contractors (read mobilized and properly trained reservists) to facilitate a bunch of “Big Arrows” throughout the 404 w/o formal declaration of war, and those 155mm cluster-things will make no difference.
(The promised F16’s just make me laugh, USAF has never experienced Russkie AD in hostile action; they should, it is a lots of fun! You see, no body bags; whatever remains from the interaction just doesn’t fit that format…”)
Cheers, JaKo
Reading that just gave me my MDR of jollies.
Everything is big deal in media war. ATACMS is next big deal.
I think if you check out USAF losses in Vietnam to Soviet AD, you’ll revise your opinion.
Larry, sadly, outside of blogs like yours, I doubt much will be reported until a carrier group sits on the seabed – France is on fire and a search of news + msnbc + france brings up crickets.
The koolaid has been drunk deep – illegal cluster munitions could only have a military effect (other than blood for their god, Gog and Magog), if Russia was on the verge of collapse – one wonders how far their heads are up their *sses to find such evidence.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but during Vietnam your media was not all owned by either Murdoch or the CIA.
Of course the Russian military has to compel Putin to allow it to step up attacks. Today it’s cluster munitions, tomorrow it’ll be ballistic missiles, day after tomorrow nerve gas. The longer this goes on the higher NATO raises the ante.
Putin continues to think they will come to their senses. He suffers a common fault of logical people. He does not understand they do not understand logic.
That was one thing being a police officer did for me. Even the Army had not prepared me for “people”. I have explained to people quite well what was going to happen. And they continue down the path of insanity. Of course, three marriages and an assorted 12 live in women sealed that fucking college level degree in people’s insanity.
Here is a story. Got a call. Homeless scumbag waving a knife at people. Me and another officer get there. He engages and I get a less lethal 12 gauge out with beanbag rounds. He starts to march toward us with the knife. I tell him to stop, etc. etc. Tell him I am going to whack him with the beanbag if one more step. One more step. Whack him with the first beanbag. He hesitates, and I yell stop again. Takes another step. Whack. This time he turns and runs into a Conex box behind him. We call the Sgt, etc. SOT actually comes. By now I am just watching the show from the perimeter. Negotiator is doing the come out, drop the knife, or.
It starts with a tear gas round into the Conex. He charges out with the knife and catches another 12 gauge beanbag. Back into the box. They get the full auto pepper ball gun, and zing about 300 of them into the Conex. He just screams threats. They break out the 40mm beanbag rotary launcher. He comes charging out again with the knife. Whack, whack, whack. Falls over. Handcuffs on.
I actually wound up transporting him to jail. He was not high, was fairly communicative, and seemed logical at that point. I’m like dude. All you had to do was drop the knife. Honestly, I doubt if we would have arrested you. His comment. “I know”.
Putin does not seem to get that he is not dealing with rational or logical people. This is a country that is encouraging children to lop their dicks off with gender transition before they even know what their favorite cereal is. These are not sane people.
Of course, does that make Putin right or wrong? Is he slow playing this so the crazy people with the nukes don’t kill us all? Or should he break out the 40mm and go whack whack whack?
At this point I’ll be damned if I know anymore. I know one thing. Outside of a few fun trips to Thailand, Asia is out for me now on retirement. These crazy fuckers are going after China next. I think South America is going to be safer for this old man.
I don’t think it’s a matter of Putin’s misunderstanding, Curt. He’s not an instant-gratification American. After spending 20 years to make Russia into what it is today, he understands things take time. When asked in the two-hour meeting with the press in June about the west using DU ammo, he just calmly replied, “we have DU ammo too.” And said what Sullivan said. The west is running out of the other ammo and went on to explain the west’s lack of capability to supply Ukraine because, “they are fading countries.” It was really impressive to watch him answer question after question from 20 or so reporters one right after the other. I’m sure the pressure is mounting on him to accelerate the war or even expanding attacks to decision-making centers outside of Ukraine but unless NATO makes unwise decisions next week, they’re just going to operate the methodical Russian way and bankrupt the west. (Martin Armstrong’s program, Socrates, is showing a panic cycle coming in gold for July 17 so I’m attributing that to some decision coming out of NATO’s meeting or maybe that the BRICS just reported they are developing a gold-backed currency.)
France is burning. Our recession is about to get worse. According to Colonel McGregor, Germany is on the verge of a depression. Cold fronts start coming in the end of next month. I worked in 25 below zero (F) weather. The cold will have a way of reminding the German people, “the damn Russians blew up the pipelines,” and they won’t quickly forget it either.
“Of course, does that make Putin right or wrong? Is he slow playing this so the crazy people with the nukes don’t kill us all? Or should he break out the 40mm and go whack whack whack?
At this point I’ll be damned if I know anymore.”
You never “knew” at any point, you only speculated adding to the noise/signal ratio.
Thank you for your service.
Good call on south America. When the nukes go off I seriously doubt SA or Africa will be targeted. Just the Northern hemi. They say nuclear winter can kill everyone but it’s just a hypothesis much like anthropogenic climate change so you may make it out alive to help dig elite survivors out of their bunkers and hang them.
I remember, as a teenager, hearing the news that a group of individuals in a small town in my country of Brazil, had come into possession of what they described as a “cannon-looking thing” and, as any curious bunch, proceeded to dismantle it, until they found a canister containing a glittering powder inside.
So, they went around, gleefully showing friends and family their exciting find. To their horror, they soon found out that what they thought to be an innocuous substance was Cesium 90, a highly radioactive isotope and that the cannon-looking thing was an X-ray machine someone had lifted from a dentist’s office.
As a result of these people’s utter recklessness and ignorance of what they were dealing with, they managed to contaminate the entire town and it became uninhabitable.
What the “turds” in DC and in positions of leadership in the EU and NATO states found was a canister containing a highly “glittery” and yet toxic and poisonous substance, called “lies” and they thought it so irresistible that they have been using and playing with it fast and loose, without realizing that it is now sending them and the rest of the world towards NUCLEAR ARMAGEDDON, ha!
Some signatures never appeared on the international treaties banning cluster weapons. USA, Russia and Ukraine being the most pertinent omissions.
The clips claim it’s ok for Ukraine to use them as they would be used on their territory.
As these munitions will have to travel through EU and/or NATO countries, the legalities of those movements are possibly questionable.
On a separate issue I am trying to find out what differentiates cluster munitions from the “Scatterable Family Of Mines” (FASCAM) that I only recently found existed. Is it no more than a ‘difference without distinction’ ?
Thanks DiggerUK…_
I do not know the details – failure rate, but Russia’s mines are reputed to be active for a pre-specified time. Since they plan to own the land they are mining, I tend to believe that they are. Given the US always leaves and has excellent care for its veterans (SNARK), apparently the cost of a 10 cent timer would hurt profits too much.
Latest system has all the bells and whistles:

The Ukrainians have been using cluster munitions for since 2014. As Mark Sleboda has remarked: this changes nothing. Cluster munitions are most effective against attackers — just like shotguns in a home invasion That said, there are many different kinds of cluster munitions. We associate them with the kind of bomblets used during the Vietnam war and which are still killing kids in Laos where I worked as a stringer during that war. There was nothing more heartbreaking for me to see the little gangs of kids in Laos missing feet, arms, sometimes complete legs, hands. That’s what caused these weapons to be banned. A workaround was to make bomblets self-destruct after a certain time, like scatterable mines. But there are always some that don’t. Probably 20%/
Some cluster munitions explode on impact. That’s the kind the Russians have been mostly using to this point, since they are immediately destructive.
A question then is what KIND of cluster munitions the US will supply.
I didn’t listen to Sleboda, whom I respect a lot. But he’s thinking wrong like Ritter. Because the online “team” defending Russia is so small, I assume that they also hear each other as normal and they talk a lot in a closed circuit. The idea of the cluster bombs is not to get the Russians out of the trenches while defending the UA counter-offensive! But to defend the Russian counterattack that US guess and very much fear. Which also tells us that the UA is almost out of reserves and that the propaganda that the big fist of the UA counter-offensive is still coming is yet another fake news!
@Paulo Guerra, exactly!!
apparently the same but 14% are duds(don’t explode) but these ar 30 years old the US is sending junk to the kiev regime
Seems to me the Russian math algorithm says slow attrition of Ukraine gives lower home death numbers than big arrow offensives.
What happens though if that math changes to we are losing too many soldiers or civilians via new weapons? Or is that what they are trying to provoke?
The problem is advances in weaponry, advances in ISR complex, terrain and the fact that both sides have been digging trenches and pouring concrete for 9 years means big arrow offensives by either sides are suicidal.
The real war … the strategic attritional war against the west … is being fought in factories in Russia and China. China and Russia can outproduce the west. Back in Feb 22, in the days prior to the Russian invasion a large Russian delegation went to China to iron out trade deals. Among the many deals they signed one that stood out was a deal with Huawei to “modernize, automate and network” Russian manufacturing … they didn’t say whether they were manufacturing toasters or missiles but given the timing it’s easy to guess.
Given that it was a deal with Huawei it’s safe to assume that they are networking with 5g technology or something better. That means direct links and coordination with engineers, suppliers and the factory floor across China and Russia … an engineer in Russia could download his design to a factory in China and even operate the machinery remotely using a cell phone connection … and this was just one of literally hundreds of deals signed that day.
If you follow Russian politics you know that this is a war that Russia has been preparing for since 2008. Russia and China along with the BRICs had plans in place to deal with Russian sanctions … they also have a plan to fight an attritional war with the west in the military sphere with the focus being to outproduce the west. They probably have other plans in place that will be revealed as things unfold.
“Given that it was a deal with Huawei it’s safe to assume that they are networking with 5g technology or something better. That means direct links and coordination with engineers, suppliers and the factory floor across China and Russia ”
Like Boeing – you have left some components behind.
What new weapons exactly? Cluster munitions, F-16, or ATACMS won’t change the equation. US “donating” aircraft carrier group with planes and crew won’t change the equation. Poland joining the fight could change things, and the activity in Belarus is done to counter that. Nuclear escalation would surely make a change, and we know how that wolud end.
From Counterpunch:
“The US is reportedly planning to send Dual-Purpose Improved Conventional Munition (DPICM) cluster munitions, which have dud rates of 6% or more. US law prohibits the transfer of weapons with dud rates over 1%”
The “or more” part” is important. In practice, as high as 40%.
Civilians will be stepping on Russian mines and American cluster bombs in Ukraine for decades after this war is over.
Nobody mentions why they are illegal in most nations. Historically, they kill or wound more civilians than soldiers. The basic 155mm round releases 72 small hand grenade type submuntions. It is less accurate as it air bursts high above the target and wind blows them off course and they can bounce down hills. High tech has reduced the failure to detonate to around 5% ( that is the official figure from the US Army).
So each round leaves around four of these little things hidden in the grass that often explode if kicked or stepped on or picked up by farmers or children. Four doesn’t sound bad, but in a war firing ten rounds at a target is common, or even 100, leaving an area polluted with 400 little mines that will remain a danger for decades. Many US military officers want them banned because their EOD experts are sometimes assigned to clear an area with these nasty things that are difficult to spot, and their own people get injured.
And these things are no danger to tanks and will not stop the Russian army.
It’s just unbelievable how they spew lies and lies by omission, and get away with it, at least in the MSM.
Where’s the evidence that Russia has used cluster munitions in UkroNaziStan? Where’s the acknowledgement of the war crimes committed by the UkroNazis in targeting civilians in Donbass for bombardment for 8 long yrs, and still doing it, to this day?
Oh and BTW, Ukraine ceased being a ‘democracy’ when the Zelensky regime outlawed all opposition political parties and media in his 1st yr in office.. and has recently cancelled the upcoming elections.
Outrageous and sickening bullshit indeed.
Independent journalists on the ground like Eva Bartlett have documented the use of cluster munitions by the UAF to dispense anti-personnel petal mines in and around Donetsk city targeting the civilian population. Sullivan’s assurances that the US supplied munitions will not be used against civilian targets rings hollow.
I, too, am outraged that the US is re-escalating a war of its own making. But this is a desperate move. As already mentioned, cluster munitions are sent in the absence of conventional ones, and the situation on the ground is bad for NATO. It seems that the “counter-offensive” definitely failed, even if it was called off. “Wonderful” western weapons, which were supposed to “change the game”, like Leopard and Bradley, are on fire, other weapons (F-16) will not even come to Ukraine to avoid public humiliation, the British Storm Shadow is on its way to Iran, where reverse engineering will be done. The Kiev junta is coming to the NATO summit in Vilnius empty-handed, they will not receive an invitation for membership there. Clown Zelenski is facing the revolt of the European public, he was humiliated in Bulgaria, he cried in Slovakia that he “doesn’t understand why there is so much pro-Russian sentiment among Slovaks”. Nevertheless, I think that Putin should raise the stake a little, intensify the attacks on the strategic objects of the Kiev junta, but so much as not to endanger the normal course of life in Russia. At least at this stage. Do not forget, the goal of the West is the destruction of Russia, and the battlefield in the former Ukraine is only one part of that strategy. It is equally important to preserve the stability of the economy.
in 6 months
“We have to support this genocide against slavs so that tanks may never roll up to our polish partners and natos expanding borders”
Russia likely has a lot more of these things than Ukraine. Meanwhile Ukraine’s new strategy is to send small infantry groups on foot due to the huge losses of machines.
It’s easy to see that this move will backfire and cause Ukraine more problems than it does Russia.
Another own goal!
As mentioned before, one good way of dealing with this relentless stupidity US and its allies( NATO) is to force the lqbtq+ axis pay double-triple… price for commodities especially oil and gas just before winter comes. The Neocons continue to display excessive pride as if they are the driver behind the wheel and everybody is their passenger. Their fake sense of confidence will quickly evaporate once they start paying 15-20-30 … dollars per gallon at the gas station.
US has enough oil to satisfy it’s local needs. All it needs to do is impose windfall profits tax and use it to subsidise the gas for the consumer. Or worst case cap prices or nationalise the oil industry.
Not that there is the slightest chance of any of that ever happening in USA
Well good point you brought it up. Again the US (Canada) have enough oil as you mentioned for their own domestic consumption during the next couple of years, but not enough or cheaply accessible enough to compete with OPEC+ countries. All the talks about US becoming a major exporter of oil or unleashing his strategic reserves are just propaganda aimed at diverting attentions. Anyway Europe is in dire situation. America can continue on playing its favorite hegemonic game for a while longer but Europe is going to be sacrificed in the process. All in all any further increase in prices of essential commodities would lead to economic upheavals and societal breakdowns in the western democratic-freedom-loving lgbtq+ axis countries. This is already happening in the US with over a million homeless people and around %60 of population below poverty line or with demonstrations happening now in France.
“this is not just a crazy policy advocated by Biden, it is bipartisan insanity.”
Evaluation is always a function of purpose and facility.
In war the suicide of opponents are always “force multipliers” as even “The United States of America” agrees facilitating “joint ventures/force multipliers”.
“facilitating “joint ventures/force multipliers”.
Well believing that your opponents are as stupid as you are is the 5th greatest weakness facilitating iterations of the greatest weakness, the second greatest weakness, the third greatest weakness, the fourth greatest weakness, the fifth greatest weakness – revolutions around fixed points sometimes known as here we go ’round the mulberry bush routine on a cold and frosty morning/mourning?
Could you make a list of weakness from greatest to smallest?
-Certainty…..
-Hope…
-Joint ventures….
-Reliance on precedents….
-Desire…..
Oh wait….Curiously, Mr. Medvedev, in his last tirade, mentionsm paraphrases Antón Chéjov…and, ultimately, relies on hope….what does it means?
“Dmitry Medvedev, Vice President of the Russian Security Council:
💬 The years 2022 and 2023 will go down in history as a time of great civilizational collapse, the height of humanity’s existential crisis in the 21st century. A direct consequence of this crisis was the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine. Russia was forced to do so to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity and the security of millions of citizens. Our nation, as you know, exercised its right to legitimate defense on the basis of Article 51 of the UN Charter.
What is happening now in the Ukraine and in the Donbass is not just a ‘regional conflict’, but something quite different. It is an all-out showdown between the West and the rest of the world. It is caused by completely opposite views on the further development of humanity. On the one hand, there are the Western countries, who do not want to accept that the world has radically changed, or lose their hegemony. The hybrid war they are now waging against us is their last chance to maintain a favorable status quo for themselves, and not lose their weakening power and influence. On the other side is not only Russia, but also the east and south of the planet. Their populations represent almost two-thirds of the globe. These are countries that continue to gain strength, gradually overcoming the economic and political consequences of their colonial past. They advocate the equitable development of all States. Without there being senior and junior partners. Without there being that cynical division into historically developed and underdeveloped countries, into ‘authentic’ democracies and ‘authoritarian regimes’, from the point of view of the West, of course.
This tectonic fault that was formed by the different ways of seeing the future is only going to get worse. You don’t have to be a seer to understand that the confrontation phase will be very long. The conflict will stretch for decades. One of the ways to solve it is to start the third world war. But that solution is obviously very bad, since it does not guarantee prosperity for the victors in the future, which happened after the previous world wars.
…
I want to point out one thing that politicians don’t like to admit: that apocalypse is not only possible, but quite probable. Because? There are at least two reasons:
The first is that the current confrontation in the world is much worse than the Cuban Missile Crisis, as our enemies aim to crush the biggest nuclear power, which is Russia. Without a doubt, they are bloody imbeciles, it is so. The second reason is quite prosaic: nuclear weapons have already been used, and we know who and where, so there is no taboo.
The second way to solve this total contradiction is to seek difficult compromises for an extended period. Form a respectful new world order based on the balance of the interests of all countries. Moreover, it is not the typical ‘rules-based balance’, which in any country that does not depend on the United States causes nothing but nausea. Yes, we will have to talk a lot, hold on, show firmness, get out of the negotiations and return to them, in order to finally draw the framework for an equitable and secure world of the 21st century. It will surely take years, or perhaps tens of years to achieve it. But it sure beats dying every day of the apocalypse.
…
I don’t know if we can take the path of compromise. I’m not sure. At the moment the degenerate western political class is trying to raise the stakes in this horror movie about killer clowns. Suffering from persistent dementia, he is pushing our tiny world towards a third world war, goading the drugged Kiev regime into waging war to every last Ukrainian. In other words, I’m not optimistic. No wonder Anton Chekhov said at the time: “Life itself is very simple, and one has to try very hard to spoil it.” But there is always hope.”
“Oh wait….Curiously, Mr. Medvedev, in his last tirade, mentionsm paraphrases Antón Chéjov…and, ultimately, relies on hope….what does it means?
Certainty, even in context and interpretation, remains the greatest weakness catalysed by hope; hope/optimism being the resort of those without agency and facility, precluding thought by belief and flexibility by fixity, leading to revolutions around fixed points, increasing frustration and stubborness/vindictiveness.
A likely component of “Why Biden is sending Them (Ukraine) Cluster munitions”.

It occurs to me another question, why Mr. Kyrienko is not a member of the RFSC?
In spite of the cloudy day, as it has been the tonic this summer so far, ( and dismantling the acojonante climate change and the “planet is burning and in the hall of hell” narrative…)I went to walk on the beach and swim a bit, since temperature is warm, 25ºC, being sea water at 22ºC….Although groundswell….While walking I was hearing to the music and just they broadcasted this one, well, remembered you….and The Orchestra….

The news that “Ukraine would be very careful with its cluster bombs and making good progress on mine clearing” was only improved by Jake’s very reassuring claim that “..only 2 to 3% of our cluster bombs are duds and anyway Russia is using them!”
Nice to know that such ethically sound and rational types are running this fiasco.
IS Russia using them? All I’ve seen so far is Ukraine using petal mines. (a cluster munition)
A bold PR move by Russia would be to announce: “In response to Washington’s decision to deploy ‘such and such’ cluster munitions, we have regrettably decided to deploy ‘such and such’ cluster munitions in kind.”
Patrick Lancaster did a film about these things last year. Little green butterfly bomblets all over Donetsk city, killing pets and maiming young children.
Let’s hope this – and the British DU weapons – will mark the end of the West claiming it has any kind of moral compass whatsoever. Indeed, it’s surely time to shut down all the “human rights” organisations that that the West has weaponised to preach to the rest of the world?
The West’s ‘moral compass’? Is that anything like pink unicorns?
The main problem with the Ukrainian mine clearing efforts is they’re clearing them by stepping/driving over them and blowing up soldiers and equipment. That approach doesn’t work very well as you run out of people and stuff to set off the mines.
In theory they use specialized mine clearing equipment, in practice this is how it’s going.
@Glasshopper,
reckoning is coming dear friend, doubt this delusional moaning about some non existent moral compass will do anyone any good! The whole structure is rotten to the core, people accustomed to an easy life with total disregard for the hardship that others have to go through, for them to afford that. But there are lots of people like Larry so there is yet hope. Wish you well Glasshopper. Them, that sowed a wind…will reap a whirlwind.
Action and reaction. Who acts in this game, and who reacts? It is the west who acts, and the Russians who react. Correct?
It still looks to me as if Russia hopes that the West will understand that it is better to stop the support of the Ukrainian army instead of continuing. But the West isn’t doing this.
What does the West fear? It seems that they fear nothing. Correct?
Russia expects West to support Ukraine for as long as it can. They are pacing themselves because they are expecting long war. China is also preparing for war, just in case. This will take a while.
If the US is supplying to Ukraine cluster weapons and NATO countries are facilitating the use of those weapons in Ukraine and disputed territories, how is that consistent with the obligations of NATO countries that have ratified the Convention on Cluster Munitions to “never under any circumstances:
* Use cluster munitions; or
* Develop, produce, otherwise acquire, stockpile, retain or transfer to anyone, directly or indirectly, cluster munitions; or
* Assist, encourage or induce anyone to engage in any activity prohibited to a State Party under this Convention.”?
Simple answer: It’s not.
Sullivan talking about Ukraine having every incentive to use the munitions in such a way as to not harm civilians because these civilians are Ukrainian made my skin crawl. Surely he knows that is EXACTLY what they have been doing since last year, intentionally targeting civilian areas in the Donbas precisely because they DON’T see these people as Ukrainian. They see them as ‘orks’. This man is odious, if not in fact evil.
Of course…Sullivan’s either a poor liar, a complete moron or both.
Ukraine shows NO, Zero, Nada, Zilch concern for civilians, on either side of this war. To hell with all of them.
If memory serves, Ukraine has been killing Donbass civilians since 2014, not just since last year. Ukraine claims the land but wants the people dead.
Nasty nation. Don’t know why Russia waited so long to hand them their heads in a basket.
“Don’t know why Russia waited so long to hand them their heads in a basket.”
They were not ready to take on the whole of USA/NATO/EU, like they are now. It’s devil’s math. I guess it’s impossible to prevent deaths of innocent people when you are fighting pure evil.
If memory serves, Ukraine has been killing Donbass civilians since 2014, not just since last year. Ukraine claims the land but want the people dead.
Nasty nation. Don’t know why Russia waited so long to hand them their heads in a basket.
Despite many years of protests, the war in Vietnam didn’t end until a decade passed with military defeat. The same here, cluster munitions, which Jan Psaki earlier called a war crime, are the new surge towards either defeat or escalating to nuclear exchange to enforce Manifest Destiny.
“. . . bringing Ukraine into NATO while the war rages in Ukraine because that would mean war with Russia.”
These same people have brought the United States, NATO, the UK, the EU, the Baltic states, Poland, and others into the Ukraine/Russo “conflict” and still no war with Russia. At least no declared war with Russia. The whole thing is like blowing up critical civilian infrastructure and not taking responsibility for any of it.
“Biden [admitted] that NATO is divided and there is no consensus to support anointing Ukraine with NATO membership.”
NATO is the United States. NATO membership consists of vassals, “Yes men and Yes women.” No consensus required. Ukraine has been a DeFacto NATO member since 2014.
Lindsey Graham… JAG officer. Yup, America will be saved by… Lawyers!
Too pathetic for serious consideration. Good thing I’m old.
Next Biden will be sending shovels and brooms.
I can’t wait for the White House to announce they are sending Mustard gas shells to Ukraine with the assurance “they won’t use them on civilians and besides, the Russians have already used it”.
You, like the majority of people in this country (US) think something reasonable from this senile shit, biden will ever come. It says something about the level of thinking of the population, in general.
Sending old cluster munitions is a clear indication that whatever the West’s geo-political end goal may have been, its middle game has failed and it’s never gonna get to an end game that stands a chance of achieving it.
They’re poisoning the wells while they figure out how they’re gonna spin up a narrative explaining their retreat. By hyper-escalating the propaganda side of the war, the trapper has trapped himself. Ouch.
I used to think the politicians were just lying about the war until I called my representative and spoke to her office guy (that’s as far as we can get to them after they’re elected). What he said blew me away and made me realize they aren’t faking stupidity — they really are that stupid: “M’am, we have to work with Ukraine in every way to stop Russia from taking over that country and all of Europe.” To his credit, he did agree to read a book I recommended for some background on the war — whether he actually will or not is anyone’s guess.
He was reading you a ‘script’ … spreading more propaganda … he knows that ‘all of Europe R US(A) …
He is telling it like it is. Pulling no punches. A Brit made of the Right Stuff.
Two resounding explosive reports in as many days.

Good piece. As you state ‘The absence of honest press coverage in the United States about the true state of the war in Ukraine is allowing Republicans and Democrats to embrace false narratives about Ukraine’s “success” on the ground.’ The proverbial ‘fourth estate’ (aka the ‘press’), supplying over 90% of ‘news’ to the American public, is owned by six large corporations: AT&T, CBS, Comcast, Disney, Newscorp and Viacom; market cap circa $430 billion. [See- The Big Six’s big media game. By Mira Nalbandian May 9, 2022; https://pwestpathfinder.com/2022/05/09/the-big-sixs-big-media-game/; The Future of Media Project; https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/futureofmedia/index-us-mainstream-media-ownership%5D. Thus, the interests of corporate media are closely aligned with those of other large corporations, and their owners, whose primary interests are to promote policies which increase corporate power and profits. Current US President Joe Biden, who can barely string 2 coherent sentences together, is little more than a figurehead, who speaks for prominent sections of the US ruling elite. No doubt, they do not want an encore performance of the rapid evacuation of American troops from Afghanistan in Aug of 2021, vividly demonstrating the limits of US military power. Biden has staked his entire presidency on his proxy war in Ukraine vs Russia and as a result, has effectively backed himself into the proverbial ‘corner’ with no good exit strategy, violating a fundamental tenet of Sun Tzu’s ‘The Art of War’. He is incapable of extricating the US from this conflict as doing so is an admission of failure and by extension, military weakness. Indeed, a NATO defeat in Ukraine may well call into question its survival. This also has implications for the dollar, which has served as world reserve currency since 1945 and a key pillar of US- post WWII power. [See: Trade without USD. BRICS currency (backed by gold) coming soon. By The Duran July 8, 2023;

I’ve read that American law dictates that cluster bombs have a dud rate no more than 1%. If true, Biden’s move is illegal under American law. Isn’t there a single person in Congress – Thomas Massie? – who could at least try to get this halted by the courts? Lack of standing? Lack of courage?
“…it was the reporting by U.S. correspondents on the ground in Vietnam that played a vital role in awakening the American public to the futility of the war in Vietnam.”
1.) Those days are gone forever – at least as far as the MSM/CIA “press” is concerned. The only news shows/reporters that are covering the war fairly are internet-based.
2.) The “American public” is only vaguely aware that there is a war. They don’t know any more about Ukraine than the dark side of the moon. Heck, we were in Afghanistan for 20 years and you would be hard pressed to find an American who could find it on a map – and we had soldiers there fighting and dying. In Ukraine, we have no one (publicly acknowledged, anyway).
” we had soldiers there fighting and dying.”

Russia needs to start hitting logistical unloading points, rail lines, etc. closer to Poland, why on earth are they not stopping munitions at the entry points? They know Ukraine can’t make its own ammunition, so it all has to be flowing through a few distribution points. That and command centers. And since cluster bombs are no longer prohibited apparently. Russia should start out by cluster bombing troops at the platoon and trench level, not citizens. To supplement paratroopers having to go in to clear trenches.
Putin caused all this, because he agreed and does not oppose the great reset of the WEF and Globalization. The Russian people are not fighting heroically against this death wish for Russia, and to this death wish, Putin stretched the Special Operation like a ribbon. Where is General Surovukin, where is General Dumin, the two toughest hawks for a full offensive, where are they. Prigozhin asked a question but there is no answer, no answer is an answer. The Russian people cannot stand that. And now they will use cluster bombs to destroy civilians, which they have been doing since 2014, and the Russian people should drive Putin to the wall. And we need to look for an answer to the question of where is Suvorikin and where is Dumin, Putin is pushing the generals to the floor and that is what these two generals cannot tolerate.
I can confirm that this is genuine post, form a 100% Russian girl that loves her country and only wants good for everyone.
Unfortunately there appear to be shades of Gorbachev around Putin. He does not react to evil inherent in his adversaries. It is clear Israel needs to lose aircraft over Lebanon and U.S. needs to lose drones.
It is clear Syrian pilots need to challenge US planes in their airspace with Russian planes flying topside
It is time for German electric grid to malfunction
It is time for Kiev or Lvov to receive what Donbass City receives
“Unfortunately there appear to be shades of Gorbachev around Putin. He does not react to evil inherent in his adversaries.”
Ram Dass, in his Naropa lectures on the Gita, talks about how he put a photo of McNamara on his altar. He was training himself to separate the person from the acts. Of course the acts need to be stopped; if possible the person needs to be freed of the demon.
Putin’s unwillingness to react to the evil is a blessing for all of us.
None of that will ever happen.
When the zios got a Russian Il 20 surveillance place shot down by hiding their fighters in its radar shadow, Putin rushed to absolve Zionistan of blame even before contacting the families of the crew. Remember that?
Now that Erdoğan has released the Azov nazis and Prokopenko back to Ukranazistan, will Putin follow through on threats and finally terminate the grain deal (which Ukranazistan used as a channel to attack Russia)? I’m not holding my breath.
Biden says this is only a TEMPORARY deployment, to bridge the gap, until conventional 155 mm ammunition can be manufactured and supplied.
Let’s hope the United States gets the production lines up quickly, before it runs out of cluster munitions and has to use CHEMICAL munitions.
But that will also have an upside, as the United States only uses the most humane NERVE AGENTS, verses the gases that were deployed during the First World War.
(sigh)
“… I recall that it was the reporting by U.S. correspondents on the ground in Vietnam that played a vital role in awakening the American public to the futility of the war in Vietnam. …”
And this is precisely what led the DoD to implement the concept of embedding and to pass laws against the display of flag-draped coffins, etc. US Allies have followed suit legally or procedurally, so it simply isn’t even possible for the public to get the kind of view into this conflict that it was in Vietnam.
I would also note that this same process of embedding was one of the key foundation blocks in the process of turning the press from an adversarial role into the supportive partnership role that has basically gutted the utility of a free press in the US.
IMO there’s a psy ops operation in place to cover up actual loses of NATO merc personnel in Ukraine. Based on the vids there are simply too many US citizens involved for there not to be some kind of operational security in this respect. Its not something that they would have overlooked. I’m pretty sure something of that nature was in already place for high security level ops. Even Pres Hopeandchange was aware of the implications of publicity when his admin prohibited media coverage of remains returning from his wars.
Stupid and dangerous PR: NATO (some of whose member countries consider this weapon illegal) OKS the use of cluster munitions so the US and US proxies in Ukraine can continue to prosecute a losing war that promotes the the ideas, worldwide that the US is a progressive nation with ‘immoral rules based ‘viewpoints and that promotes the policy that Russians are substandard humans against whom any kind of weapon can be used. Kudos to the neocons and Biden. Great way to muster Russian public opinion to ‘harden up’. And China will pay attention.
Larry writes:
“A similar dose of truth is needed now to awake the American people from their slumber of delusion.”
I’m just wondering if it would make any practical difference if Americans remain in their slumber of delusion or they fully wake up.
Just for fun, let’s assume that the American people fully wake up TODAY from their slumber of delusion. What should/must they do poltically or socially between tomorrow and November, 2024 to, presumably, change “the way things are” in America today? Do the woke actually know how they want America to be? If they don’t, I think that that would be Job 1 before doing anything more forceful, don’t you?
Will these hundreds of millions of fully woke Americans once again vote Rs and Ds (doesn’t matter which) into power?
Will these hundreds of millions of fully woke Americans continue to invest in US treasuries and by so doing continue to fund the US’s perpetual wars of outright theft and oppression? (I know for sure that all of the people writing comments on this article sold their blood-stained treasurys a long time ago and invested in something, how to put it, more peaceful.)
Eso es todo USA. Sin hipocrecias.
Lo siguiente seran bombas quimicas y luego tacticas.
The winter/spring/summer UKR counter-offensive has fizzled.
The new WunderWaffe is now the illegal cluster bombs, the Russians are killing now 5,000 UKR soldiers a week ( https://t.me/fred33flint/1271 ), and the Neocon Nuland wants to start the ww3, in 3 days, on July 11th ( https://t.me/fred33flint/1266 )
Other-wise a nice weekend.
Why is Nuland still on .gov welfare checks at this point? Everyone knows why she and her psychotic colleagues are still gong ho about the carnage, they have ancient, decomposed skin in the game.
But what about the rest, since it’s not personal for them, how much money can the rip off from this war? And there will be a lot of payback for decades, so how will they profit from the cash if the whole country is becoming socio-politically and financially brittle?
Patrick Lancaster reported on a boy whose foot was blown off by a cluster ammunition sown into Donetsk by the AFU 3 months ago. The AFU must be running low on their own.

Tin-Foil Hat time: I’d propose that a major part of this decision to deliver the cluster munitions as an economic one. There is a wiki for the Dual-purpose improved conventional munition.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual-purpose_improved_conventional_munition
At the end of that was the description of a recycling procedure for these old shells.
*** “Faced with the need to dispose of thousands of Cold War era DPICM (Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munition) 155mm artillery shells (each one carrying 88 bomblets) and a demand for more 155mm practice shells, the U.S. Army came up with a novel and money-saving idea. The DPICM shells would be emptied of their bomblets and filled with high explosives. Not just any high explosives, but the new less sensitive stuff that is less likely to go off by accident. Recycling this way was cheaper than buying new practice shells.” ***
The US will save a ton of money by not having to expensively dismantle the old shells. The Military Industrial Complex will get to produce extremly costly NEW shells instead of having to diddle with low-profit shell recycling. And Biden gets to preen as a Real Man – a geriatric Horse’s Ass who is willing to spit in the eyes the Ruskies.
All kidding aside, there has been all kinds of time to have starting converting the dangerous old cluster shells to safer unitary types, but it hasn’t happened. Unless the current Pentagon is too incompetent to organize a one-float parade, what other reason besides the Money issue?
“All kidding aside, there has been all kinds of time to have starting converting the dangerous old cluster shells to safer unitary types, but it hasn’t happened. Unless the current Pentagon is too incompetent to organize a one-float parade, what other reason besides the Money issue?”
Why would you think they want “safer” types in the first place? Do you really think that they did not know how bad they are, when they made them? Think about napalm, white phosphorus, depleted uranium, Agent Orange, etc. Nowdays they are developing biological weapons exactly because of how “unsafe” they are. People renaming Pentagon to Pentagram is more than a wordplay.
How many times have I heard this will be over by Fall, spring, fall(again)? Kinda expect we will hear by Spring again around Thanksgiving. I am certain the people in charge of the USA don’ t want it to end if it cannot be framed as something to get their guy elected.
That guy is not Trump or RFK Jr.
I have zero confidence in anyone’s opinion of what is happening in Russia after the Wagner catering group’s mutiny. Sorry to be cynical.
I can’t dismiss it was orchestrated by both sides to some extent and no one got what they desired. I can’t tell if it is well played by Putin but he is still standing. Then again perhaps this is what he thought would happen. Biden thinks he is ….who knows…
Listening to Scott RItter on this subject yesterday I wrote down what I have outlined below and came to the same conclusion as you do Larry based on the size of the shells:
These shells are old from the 1980’s decade with a 21% failure rate. They are more likely to fail in greater percentages now given their lengthy storage. They are specifically designed for large infantry attacks on open fields which Russia does not do. That’s more what Ukraine does with its suicidal wave attacks. The US in sending them says they are to help Ukraine hit Russian trenches for which they are not designed for.
Given the trenches are often in forests or natural reserves unexploaded ordnance will later plague children and adults, wild animals, cows, not to mention farmers, for many many years to come. I think another reason for which they may be sending them is because of the NATO/Ukraine shortage of 155 mm shells since they are of the same calibre.
It will do nothing for Ukraine’s chances of winning the war – the counter offensive is an utter failure – it will cause more awareness that the US is an aggressor willing to use any inhumane means even if it threatens children’s lives, arms, and legs. It will also demonstrate to the world that the current administration has totally lost the plot in terms of having any form of moral compass left.
As they are old stock, these are sent on the cheap, and mainly about making it look like the White House is doing something for relection purposes.
Hi, can someone answer this question for me. The lying media claims that both sides are already using cluster bombs. Well that’s not really true!
I’m only aware of Ukrainians using them a handful of times. They have shelled Donbass cities with cluster bombs. They’ve also used Tochka missiles. They used a Tochka missile in Kramatorsk which the lugenpresse right now is still claiming was a Russian attack! Yeah, they attacked their own supporters! They’ve only used cluster bombs and Tochkas to attack civilian targets a handful of times.
Now, the lugenpresse insists that Russia has used cluster bombs in this war, but I don’t think they have. In fact, one pro-Russian ethnic Russian living in the US stated that Russia refuses to use cluster bombs because they think they’re evil. After all, these weapons are illegal and banned all over the world. In fact, he was complaining about the decision and he really wanted Russia to start using cluster bombs because he said it’s a very useful weapon.
It’s really strange to watch the Nazi Left and the Nazi liberals going crazy over cluster bombs. Over on Reddit Worldnews, there’s a Ukraine thread. It’s mostly liberal Democrats and they are the most slavering, debased Nazi scum you’ve ever seen. For one thing, all US liberals LOVE the military industrial complex now. They are praising arms manufacturers to the skies and saying the war is good for business, MI complex business! And most are calling for increasing the already insanely bloated military budget. Remember these liberals? The ones that opposed the Vietnam War. Look at them now. They’ve all gone full Nazi.
One thing I don’t get is that antifa anarchists (!) liberals, social democrats, progressives, centrists and conservatives in the US and Europe are all head over heels Nazi supporters. The only people against the Nazis are the Hard Left (good for them) and some rightwing nationalists who could almost be called fascists. The only people opposing the Nazis in the US are the Far Right MAGA’s which at this point are a fascist movement.
Only fascists, communists, and a few nationalists and Russia supporters (in Moldova, Bulgaria, and Serbia) are anti-Nazi. The commie and fascist anti-Nazis.
The entire rest of the spectrum, especially the liberal – progressive Left are wild Nazi supporters. The liberal – progressive – social democratic Nazi supporters. How does that make sense? What the Hell is the Nazi Left?!
I have never heard of one single instance in this entire war of Russia using cluster munitions. As the poster said, apparently they refuse to use them.
They used this shit argument for DU too. The US and UK decided to send their evil DU weapons to Ukraine, but the liberal Nazis all screamed that Russia has DU weapons too and they already use them. I believe Russia has them but apparently they don’t want to use them and they have refused to use them thus far in the war.
They do have Tochkas but these are decommissioned and not in use, phased out in 2019. This is the only cluster bomb weapon that Russia has to my knowledge.
You are right. Russians have not used cluster bombs. They do use stuff that can be classified as cluster munition, aka submunition. Both sides have been using remote mining, alongside regular one. Boths sides have also been using incendiary Grad rockets, that are filled with incendiary submunitions (they look a bit like fireworks). Russians also use “submunition” in the form of “surrender now” leaflets. Non of those are cluster bombs. They are smart enough not to destroy land they consider their own.
How does this ideological kerfuffle make sense?
It’s the enemy-of-an-enemy-being-friend thing. Everyone that hates Russia (or wants Russian resources) have buched up in one big pile of filth. They still hate each other, and plan on stabbing each other’s back once they finish off those pesky Russkies. This thing already happened in a way. Almost every European nation had “volunteers” fighting for Nazis on the Eastern Front in WWII. I’ve read somewhere that more French were on the Eastern Front than in the French Resistance. I have no idea if it’s true, but it surely seems plausible.
Your hatred for Agent Orange has made you delusional. You clearly don’t know what facisism means.
While I think US policy is a disaster and illogical except in the minds of the idiots making it in DC, I wonder if there is some residual logic in deciding to send cluster bombs, demonic as it is, and even with the Ukrainians’ and their NATO sponsors’ lack of any capability- whether with weapons, strategy, or operational systems – to carry on this war.
If cluster bombs are intended to cover a broad or at least broader range than single exploding shell, would they not have some lethal effect against an army advancing in divisional formations (as has been predicted for the Russian army after sufficiently degrading the Ukrainians). I’m not saying the Russians wouldn’t have countermeasures, or that it could have any lasting effect, but might not some in the US military believe it could delay a final massive offensive operation, and since delay as long as possible, while doing as much damage, seems to be the Administration agenda, in addition to getting rid of old inventory to be able to justify huge new military spending for the future.
Just a question.
There is logic. They have to send something to keep the war going. Storage is almost empty, but there are cluster bombs, and white phosphorus shells, and chemical weapon shells (that should have been destroyed long time ago). They must send something, so they choose cluster bombs.
UK sent DU rounds for Challenger tanks because they don’t have anything else. Those canons and ammo for them have been out of production for a while. They can not send tanks without ammo, so they send what they have.
Brian Berletic has an excellent review of the various weapons that are listed in the latest DOD announcement of weapons to be shipped to Ukraine, including the cluster munitions. (The DOD list is at: https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3451570/biden-administration-announces-additional-security-assistance-for-ukraine/
Brian Berletic’s weapon by weapon analysis is at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHS2zKV7bF8 )
I assume the white phosphorus and the chemical weapons are coming next, no? The US doesn’t seem to have any limits or any brake pedal. All they have is a gas pedal and the more they lose, the harder they stomp on it.
Ukraine has already undeniably used chemical weapons around Bakhmut. They’re murdered some Russian soldiers with these weapons. There are videos of this available. Nothing but silence from the Nazi West. They MUST endorse the use of those chemical weapons the Ukies are using, otherwise they probably would have said something or read them the riot act.
A submunition is not a cluster bomb. The whole problem with those damned things is they don’t all blow up! 20% fail to blow and only blow when some poor sod steps on them years later. The Jews (Israel) are so damned depraved that they used cluster bombs that look like children’s toys in Lebanon. A lot of curious kids picked those up. How’s that for demonic?
For one thing, Russian submunitions all blow up! A surrender now leaflet doesn’t seem like a very lethal weapon to me. Remote mining isn’t cluster bombs because none of them blow up! It’s really no different from laying a mine field. Also I understand that all Russian mines now are either programmed to stop working by some time. They can also supposedly turn them on and turn them off! The whole thing is electrical now and I believe that Russia can turn off a whole minefield with a flip of a switch.
The idea that cluster bombs can be gotten rid of by demining is false. In fact a lot in the US military want to ban cluster bombs because their sappers go out and try to blow them up and often they can’t find them somehow and they get blown up themselves. Why these guys can find mines but not these cluster bombs is beyond me.
Petal mines are not cluster bombs either. Those are the things that look like tree leaves lying on the ground. They’re different. They’re mines. They don’t blow up until you step on one! Those are antipersonnel mines and I believe that is also a banned, evil weapon by treaties. I understand that Russia refuses to use antipersonnel mines.
I like to call these idiots Nazis because that’s who they support. But there are a ton of Nazis who aren’t fighting Russia. They’re just fighting for the White race. The Nazi-lovers hate those Nazis. In fact, they think they are the worst thing on Earth.
But the Ukies and the rest of their East European Nazi brethren are different. Those are the good Nazis!
I think we just use Nazis as a tool the same way we used the Taliban, ISIS, and Al Qaeda. We’d use the Devil Himself if he had an army to fight our enemies. All of these groups are extremely terroristic too, and the use has always favored ultra-terrorists to enforce its rule: Fascist regimes, rightwing death squads, Nazis, mujahedin, headchopper Salafis. These groups are all so evil that they are terrifying and it is that terror that the US state finds very useful.
Bottom line is fascists, mujahedin headchopper Islamists, and Nazis are very, very good at one thing. Killing Leftists, socialists, and Communists. The Nazis, fascists, and Islamists are simply the greatest Commie-killers and exterminators of the Left that the world has ever seen. No one hates Commies more than Nazis and fascists. That’s almost their very reason for existence. Nazis hate Commies and the Left more than they hate Jews!
And there are different kinds of Nazis. There are “kill the Jews” Nazis and “kill the Russians” Nazis. There aren’t many Jews left to kill in those countries and the Jews who are left have made a bizarre Nazi-Jew alliance. So they’re not an issue.
The Nazis hated Russians and Slavs as much as they hated Jews. They killed 27 million Russians. That’s 4.5X the Holocaust total. For whatever reason, these East European Nazis could care less about Jews these days and all of their genocidal hatred is directed at Russians. It’s not “exterminate the Jews.” It’s “exterminate the Russians.” Remember Generalplan Ost. The Nazis did not have a happy future in store for the Russian people. 25% were to be killed outright, 50% were to be slowly starved and worked to the death, and the 25% with more Germanic blood would be turned into pseudo-Germanics and assimilated to Greater Germany.
In all fairness, I don’t think Nato is refusing Ukraine to avoid a war with Russia. They are refusing them to avoid the embarrassment of exposing themselves as paper tigers when they have to refuse to invoke any articles because of the fear of going to war with Russia and losing. Nato is like any bully, you pick on those much weaker than you and make horrible examples of them, which in turn will garner you support from other weaker hanger-oners to help strengthen your coalition against any opponents stronger than or equal to you on an individual basis. Nato has never passed on a war it knew it could win, and it is becoming blatantly obvious they are destined for defeat if they involve themselves. So they will continue to send Ukrainians to certain death until there are no Ukrainians left, or until some kind of battlefield miracle happens.
> I recall that it was the reporting by U.S. correspondents on the ground in Vietnam that played a vital role in awakening the American public to the futility of the war in Vietnam. A similar dose of truth is needed now to awake the American people from their slumber of delusion.
It feels like you fallen for the same fallacy like PCR did…
is needed…
Needed by whom? By America?
Surely, you and PCR loving America crave for her salvation.
But does Russia need it? Does Russia need to awaken America by foring truth down her throat (and suffering losses while doing it), to save America from self-eating, etc.
America does need it, albeit can not admit, but does Russia?
