I did two interviews today in response to the news that Ukraine attacked the Kremlin in Moscow with two drones. Russian air defense disabled/destroyed those drones but the symbolic image of the attempted attack has ignited a firestorm of rage in Russia. One was with Judge Napolitano and the other with Mike Krupa. Both are posted below.
In terms of the tactical consequences of the drone attack, it was a nothing-burger. Yet, in the same way that the 9-11 attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C. enraged Americans and temporarily erased the partisan divide, this attack has had a similar effect in Russia.
Former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who has established a reputation for heated rhetoric, commented:
After today’s terrorist attack, there are no options left except for the physical elimination of Zelensky and his clique
https://t.me/Zornkrieger/35160
Medvedev was not alone. Russian Deputies of the State Duma howled in outrage over the Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin:
SR leader Mironov
This is a real casus belli – a casus belli. To eliminate the terrorist elite of Ukraine. We have something to hit on their bunkers.Deputy Sheremet
It’s time to launch a missile attack on Zelensky’s residence in Kiev. Ready to transfer the coordinates – Bankovaya street, 11. Zelensky should start to be afraid.Deputy Shkhagoshev
On the part of Russia, the answer will be quite tough. It’s not a red line anymore, it’s a stoplight.Deputy Zhuravlev
It is necessary to aim at the center of Kiev. Destroy the president’s office, destroy the Verkhovna Rada, the General Staff, and the buildings housing the Ukrainian special services to the ground.MP Belik
If they think that they have long arms, then let them know: we have something to shorten these arms.
My favorite was Deputy Shkhagoshev’s statement that “It’s not a red line anymore, it’s a stoplight.”
Russia is going to play this to the hilt. Note that it waited almost 24 hours before announcing the attack. However, Putin and his General staff are not going to be driven by emotion. They have a war plan and will continue to follow it until circumstances on the ground require a change.
Some believe that Russia will now take off the gloves and attack the Ukrainian Executive, Legislative and military headquarters in Kiev. I believe that the Russians are not in a hurry to do this. Why? I believe they have intelligence assets, i.e., human spies, embedded in the Ukrainian General Staff and in Zelensky’s cabinet. Hitting those key Ukrainian government facilities when they are filled with workers would run the risk of destroying critical human sources. Just something to think about.
I cover this in my conversations with the Judge and Mike.
And here is Mike Krupa.
There are two ways this drone attack could have happened:
1. It could have been launched from Ukranazistan or by Ukranazi groups who penetrated a short distance across the Belgorod frontier.
2. It could have been launched from inside Moscow or its suburbs, either by Ukranazi strike groups in civilian clothing and false IDs or by Russians sympathetic to the nazis and/or paid by them.
1. would indicate a failure of air defences on the level of the Mathias Rust landing in Red Square; utterly unforgivable and an indicator of total incompetence. However, the small size of the drone in the videos makes it extremely unlikely that it could have flown 50-60 km, let alone 500-600. Also, relying on the enemy’s incompetence to conduct a successful strike is not a generally winning strategy.
2. is worrying on a different level: just because the drone failed, do you think the nazis or their stooges will give up? Of course not. There may or may not be more drones. There may be improvised landmines, booby traps, attacks on planes taking off from Sheremetyevo. Government officials may be sniped. If there are Ukranazis or their slaves working in and around Moscow, either Russia has to put its internal security on a war footing now or it will be forced to later.That the drone attack failed is immaterial. At a time when, after the imminent loss of Artëmovsk and the almost guaranteed failure of Ye Olde Greate Springe Offensive – assuming it’s ever launched – nazi morale is going to crumble, symbolic, even if ineffective, strikes like this are imperative to keep spirits up to keep Elensky’s war going.
Either way, anyone dismissing this attack as immaterial does so at Russia’s peril.
I agree with a lot of your points. It is very odd that it was intercepted SO close. It seems to have been hit within 100 m of the structure. The only explanations are that it was launched very nearby or it was fake. Otherwise a slow moving joke of a drone never would have got that close. If it was a real threat, that shoot-down was breathtakingly close. Something doesn’t add up.
To launch something within Moscow is egg on the face of counterintelligence. To launch something that crude from afar is a big error on the part of Russian air defense.
I am certainly not pro Ukrainian but that has a false flag feel. If it were, the timing is right to create the conditions for a massive retaliation to disrupt the momentum of the much vaunted Ukrainian “offensive”. I certainly would not be shocked to see some heavy handed reprisals to deflate any Ukrainian momentum building.
These types of “false flags” are usually what the americans do. Make no mistake, I’m not saying that the russians are beyond the use of such tactics, but at this point they simply don’t need it.
SkyNews: the attack on the Kremlin was most likely done by Russia.
Air Vice-Marshall Sean Bell and ‘Military Analyst Extraordinaire’:
“Russia will be pushed back by Ukraine in the spring offensive and therefore some sort of false flag operation within Russia would justify pulling their military resources back to the motherland to defend the Russian population.”
PS: Please check out my Gofundme page. I’ve a great money making idea for a chain of food stands across the UK.
“Shit on a Stick”. It’s a guaranteed winner!
Really, Brits. Do you really pay monthly fees to view this stuff?
That was part of a new game show on Sky News:
“Who can come up with the goofiest explanation for Russia attacking itself.”
Mr. Bell rang the bell and earned the 20 shekel grand prize.
I agree, but I don’t think we will have any real inkling of whether this was a false flag or not until a little time has passed. If Russia doesn’t take any extreme action any time soon (such as attacks on the heart of Kiev, trying to take out the UkraNazi leadership), I think it will be pretty clear that calmer heads (like Putin’s) have prevailed, and that this was not a false flag staged by the Russians. If they respond like members of the Duma are demanding, and do so rather quickly, then it probably will mean that the attacks were staged, in order create a justification for such actions in the eyes of the BRICs and other non-NATO countries.
At this point, I suspect Putin no longer gives a damn what the NATO countries think, however.
Big mistake to rule completely out a false flag. I generally do not believe that Russia is in the false flag business, unlike the champion USA.
That said, any comprehensive analysis, should not categorically rule it out.
Who clearly in the west now knows what is going on in Russia vis-a-vis the government and the population.
I met a 20 something year old Russian girl in a sea side town on the southern Turkish coast just last fall. I have been interested to engage just about anyone from Russia to get feedback on this Ukraine War.
She was poised but direct in that she was appalled by her country’s action there and went deeper to say that poverty was rampant in Russia and painted an impelling picture of societal misery. I was somewhat shocked and taken aback. I tried to go deeper but I sensed that she suspected that I was just trying to hit on her, which was not the case.
She was attractive and one thing occurred to me that there are many young attractive young Russian girls in Turkey since the war began that sell themselves because of genuine need. She could have come from a lower class family or area that has economic problems, hence her heavy criticism of the situation.
Why she didn’t further hit up on me, a wealthy appearing foreigner?
I didn’t fit her, nothing more.
Meh. I’m a westerner living in Russia. Maybe there’s some legit poverty somewhere, but I don’t see it. I tell you what I don’t see, homeless drug addicts. Also – I’ve never been anywhere where social cohesion is so high. I think she was just playing up what you wanted to hear.
I would take anything a 20 something year old person from ANY country said about poverty in their country with a large dose of salt. IMO having been to Russia, I can say it seems to me the US has more poverty as a percentage of population. Russians are tough people who can survive on very little materially.
20 years old
Ah, the wealthy foreigner walking on water scooping up the waifs complex. Haven’t seen you in a while.
I was very annoyed by your interlocutor. How shameless! I could refute everything she told you, but I don’t want to do that.
I will make only one remark. Last year, trips to Turkey were very expensive. I chose a tour and refused this idea, because the offers were clearly not worth the money that was asked for average quality hotels. Your interlocutor in her 20s could not earn that kind of money herself. So her parents sponsored her. There is no need for young girls in Russia to sell themselves. If they do it, they do it according to their inclinations.
“ conditions for a massive retaliation to disrupt the momentum of the much vaunted Ukrainian “offensive”. ”
I don’t get it. Why would Russia need an excuse to apply whichever military measures they considered necessary to deal with the AFU? And if there was any reason wasn’t the bombing of the Crimean bridge iconic enough, and the daily shelling of civilians sufficient?
CC says
In theory, yes. The Russians just have a flair for the theatrical. Stanislavsky School I believe.
And don’t forget, the West has talked Ukraine into setting the stage for a Theater of the Absurd enactment, so one must be ready to adapt.
Zelensky is getting set up.
Zelenskyy’s reaction should tell you what you need to know. He’s staying away from Kiev. That means he believes the threat is in Kiev. The rest is theatre designed to manipulate.
Or: the russians simply allowed the ukrainian drone to hit the Kremlin (Putin was somewhere else when it happened). So it could be something like a “half-false flag”. It is very unlikely that the russians are able to shoot down drones in Crimea but not in Moskow.
Here we are continuing to burn our Adrinal glands and our psyche with who and how? What can get us above the Crisis/Reaction/Solution confusion and the ensuing despair? It is the answer to the Why question. Please try it out.
So what was the most significant and historical event that occured in the last few days?
China stepped into European affairs and began building a framework for peace and to firmly establish its reputation as a peace and prosperity maker and the adult in world affairs and for the first time European affairs. Right? Well guess who must have gotten poed?
So Why the attack on the Kremlin by Ukrainians? Is it plausible someone is manipulating Russian public opinion to demand an emotional response to this insult on a historic day, as Larry posited on his podcast with the Judge (good point Larry and thank you.) In turn, to get Russians to refuse any peace initiative with these Nazi Ukrainians? Is it plausible instead of calling it an aimless act.
Why was Elensky sent to Finland? We know he can’t go anywhere without Putin’s permission, was it to make him look guilty (Thanks Alex of the Duran)? We know Elensky came on TV and as scared as he was, he made sense for the first time, by indicating he did not have enough weapons to waste on such a useless poke of the Bear.
Answering the Why? is where we gain control of the narrative, because AI is watching every post we write.
Case in point, when the internet continued to be bogged down with Who and How of NS1&2 even after Hersh’s expose, they attempted to distract and exhaust us with how a SS Ukraine with a couple of onboard divers are to be blamed. It was abandoned only when the Internet Community laughed it off, convinced it was Biden who ordered it.
The Why is a better use of our energy and after you answer it the Who is easy and we might never know how.
Peace.
Excellent!!!!
Well said!!!
The drone attack could be launched by Ukrainian NAZIs hoping a Russian retaliation would kill Zelensky.
The drone attack could be launched by the US hoping that Russian retaliation would kill Zelensky for negotiating peace with Xi
It could be launched by NATO operatives to collapse the Government of Ukraine and thus ending war without NATO becoming directly involved.
There are in fact so many possibilities that speculation at this time is futile.
The drone attack on Kremlin is a minor incident, and Putin will respond accordingly.
The attack will not change the Russian military operation in Ukraine significantly, other that the already ramped up destruction of Ukrainian Infrastructure and Military.
However, executing an attack during a war and denying the credit for it, is a shure sign that the US, NATO, Kiev Alliance has entered the stage of internal rebellion amongst its ranks.
“would indicate a failure of air defences on the level of the Mathias Rust landing in Red Square; utterly unforgivable and an indicator of total incompetence.”
Way too harsh a criticism. It was a small drone, likely launched at close range by Ukrainian agents, and with pre-set coordinates making electronic counter measures ineffective. The downside of pre-set coordinates is that it will be less accurate.
How does one defend against drones of this nature?
My favorite proposal, build a land based AI system that uses cameras to monitor the sky that directs the fire of either a machine gun or laser. There are places where you can setup a zone where you know that nothing, and I mean nothing the size of a drone belongs there. So the AI system just needs to see movement, calculate size, then aim its gun at the drone.
How does one build a better small drone for attack?
Instead of using pre-set coordinates, code an onboard AI system that uses a camera to detect its target to make EW ineffective. The AI system just has to be smart enough to detect, ‘truck’ or ‘people carrying guns’
Drones are cutting edge for new development because of their low cost and availability of powerful CPU’s and cameras.
IMO, Ukraine has no chance of carrying out the counter-offensive. Every time they move forces they pay dearly! Ukrainian forces always had only two options: to die slower in the trenches or faster in the open field! And to be honest since February 24th. Except for the famous Kharkov hype that never went beyond that, a US intel hype that found that Russia was withdrawing forces. Hype they paid dearly but the bill no longer made headlines in MSM! In an essentially propaganda war since February 24th.
The US never thought or said that Ukraine could defeat Russia! Neither Jack Devine. The plan was to kill as many Russians as possible in order to destabilize Russian society. Which was even more united around the President as is usually the case in countries at war! Even opposition in Russia is amplified in western MSM but it is almost non-existent in Russia! And the ratio of KIAs is what we know!
A psyops conflict like now with the comedian’s digression diversionary maneuver to try to overshadow the victory day in Moscow and the total annihilation of the AFU! While the collapse of the Western economies is going on, which no one is talking about either. And Putin himself cannot leave Russia because of the infamous ICC sentence! Or today the hysteria that works very well on the web with two drones that were even shot down over the Kremlin! As we can see in this video already with security guards on the roof!
%22mimeType%22%3A%22video%2Fmp4%22%2C%22fileName%22%3A%22telegram-cloud-document-2-5372975366849702533.mp4%22%7D
P.S. Tomorrow they take a Kinzhal in Kiev and the comedian announces 100k Russian KIAs and the slaughter of 2 Kinzhal! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Only stupid people use emojis.
@ the blame-e
Give it a rest. So he used emojis. No biggie! Read the comment, challenge the facts therein or be quiet. Everyone here is coming from their own unique perspective in this world. I doubt English is his first language but he still puts his point across forcefully. Calling him stupid because he used emojis is just childish/immature.
Only childish people don’t like emojis and lols. 🙂
This Bud Light is for you.
Any trampling deaths from that Pub Flight is on you.
Are there any pubs left in the UK? I thought they all went belly up.
In the Russian-speaking segment of the Internet, when disputes arise, a very unpleasant tendency is often found among trolls: when the arguments run out, they begin to look for grammatical and spelling errors in the opponent.
In the English-speaking segment, catching fleas among emoticons is used as the last argument that is murderous for the opponent?
Beh, In general I like that Alex Christoforou guy except 1) that he repeats everything that Mercouris just said twice, just to fill his own air time and 2) he keeps saying ‘me and xxxxx’ making two basic grammatical faux pas at once and making me grind my teeth.
It’s bad enough that Mercouris repeats himself multiple times with a pregnant pause between every third word, no need for Alex to add to the repetition. Our minds work faster than that.
Guys, pay no mind. I still luv y’a.
Excellent video Larry. As usual. I’m also pretty sure the US can’t destabilize Moscow or the SMO for the 100th attempt! Most likely some response will exist due to internal pressure from Russia.
do we know for sure this wasn’t a US/NATO directed effort to induce retaliation and permanenet silencing of Ukraine leadership?
(.. and, now Europe is successfully economically destroyed, allow ending the Ukraine distraction and permit US concentrating on making a fool of itself with China and destroying Taiwan)
I saw images of Blinken denying any knowledge about the drone. If someone can have an über guilty expression, that was it.
Garland Nixon made an astute point, now everybody has carte blanche to kill Elensky and blame the bloodthirsty ruskies. The bastard is in panic mode flying from one NATO country to another, probably sniffing his soul out of that white powder.
Yep, Flying High.
My guess Russia in late summer or fall will push to Dnieper river. With all the US equipment & soldiers currently in Poland and Romania and grapevine talk of more deploying, I pray as an Army retiree that the DOD/Pentagon are not so reckless to deploy them into Ukraine!
I hope they do. The only way there will be relative peace in the world is for the US military to be massacred. Totally wiped out as a force.
Not enough. As long as proxy military forces can be financed everywhere there will be no peace.
The dollar has to go.
Agree. The fighting stops when the dollar is weakened substantially. The dollar doesn’t even have to be totally removed as a reserve currency. Cut the holdings outside the US in half and its all over for the MIC, and unfortunately a lot of US wealth. That’s what is in the works as we speak.
Wealth? I’m pretty sure that “money” was taken and not earned.
Russia has warned Washington not to use their “currency” as a weapon. The US (of course) did not listen and did it anyway. Now they pay the price for not listening.
But I’m pretty sure whatever happens, the US will simply print more and more, because that is the only way, they know of, to solve “their” problems. And we all know how this will end.
a few Sarmat MIRV units into the DC beltway would have the same effect. They wouldn’t even have to be nukes, just hypersonic, ya gotta strike the root.
Sadly i agree with Grr.An irrefutable,undeniable destruction of the vaunted U.S. military will wake us dumb ass Americans to reality.
These are our sons, brothers and now daughters too. They didn’t make this mess.
Texas panhandle and northern Maine, two relatively safe areas in the US from the pending nuclear holocaust we’re so anxious to bring upon ourselves.

Re the Nap discussion, US pentagor budget…
The $800+B is only the “official for public consumption” number and we can be confident it’s a lie. I’ve seen it pegged as more like $2T in all. So split the difference, whatever.
And as for aid to Ukraine, I think it was Macgregor, pointing out that much of the aid was NOT on the books as $$$ because it was in kind, and that in kind amounted to something like $300B. It will show up when it has to be replaced.
I don’t know if the alternative numbers I suggest are correct and I’d love to hear from someone with a better understanding than I.
No big deal, perhaps, there will be even more money to be spent/wasted/lost in our upcoming war with China.
Do you remember that uber-hawk Lindsay Graham publically revealing these fugures:
Spent on Vietham — $1 Trillion.
Spent on Afghanistan — $2 Trillion
Earmarked for destroying Russia over the next 10 years — $6 Trillion.
And then his closing quote was: “And that $6 Trillion sounds like good value for money to me”.
So there you have it … the US’s big vision budget for carrying out the Rand /Rumsfeld Dream.
Lend-Lease Law says wheaty Ukraine is on the hook to cover US expenses. Loansharking at its finest. I don’t know how much of the $120B is covered under LLL.
Within 5 years Ukraine will be begging for Russian incorporation to escape the American bill collectors.
Ah, if only it were so.
Knowing them, they’ll be demanding money from Europe to pay America’s debt and money from America to pay Europe’s debt.
Reminds me of the old wive’s tale: ‘What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine.’
Russia has been very careful to keep the BRICS onboard by behaving with restraint.
One might speculate that after an attack like this it might untie their hands and allow them to progress their aims more forcefully.
False flag?
That’s the trouble with speculating, one can speculate anything.
YES, it is easy to speculate and I also postulated a false flag. One weakness to the false flag narrative is that this was quite a pathetic effort. If you were going to run a false flag, you would typically shoot for something dramatic with a school or orphanage getting hit. The roofing renovations required to remediate this effort will be trivial.
I think it was an alien spaceship that got lost and threw up a flare for the mother ship’s rescue team.
Simplicius has made the point that this could indeed be intended to act as an obvious provocation preparatory to a false flag – it would go well with the announcement that radiation detectors had been installed around the country. The idea would presumably be to set off a small “dirty bomb” and blame the Russians as a justification for NATO intervention. As you have previously noted, though, it is a puzzle WHAT NATO might do to intervene, given that it is running low on weapons and ammunition and dead bodies would presumably not be a good look in a looming US election. I fear though, that rationality is not the West’s strong suit….
The west doesn’t have strong suits, unless you consider strait jackets to be in that class.
Let’s indulge for a moment in this conspiracy theory – what if the forces inside the Ukrainian government opposing Zelensky, did a coup by launching this attack on Kremlin in his absence to prevent him from returning to Ukraine? Remember how Zelensky begged Bennett to get Putin’s word that he won’t kill Zelensky? Only after Bennett got such a guarantee, Zelensky got out of the bunker where he was hiding in the first weeks of war and went on TV to “lead the nation” I find it hard to believe that Zelensky would jeopardize his own life, knowing well that a tit for tat would be the most likely outcome of an attack on Kremlin. Now, if Zelensky is afraid to return back to Ukraine, he can legit stay with a “reason” abroad and someone (the conspirators) can take the power in Ukraine. Just saying…
And who needs to become the president of Ukraine now? This is a deadly position. Zelensky must answer for everything he has done.
In due time Gera. Zelensky is a miserable puppet with a lot of strings but Russia still won’t cut any. Russia, in addition to Ukraine, is engaged in a much larger transformation of the world and it’s not alone! And both the Zelensky tour and the drones aim at the same goal: to put Russia and Putin down and try to provoke some emotional reaction from Russia like geniuses like Strelkov promote. Putin who also cannot be present at the BRICS Summit in South Africa because of the ICC sentence! What Reznikov also remembered to clear Ukraine from drone attacks! Two psychops that intelligent people understand only show the desperation of the West in Ukraine who would love to cancel the Victory Day celebrations in Red Square! But bothe psyops work in West as anti-Russia propaganda also works in the current World Order! Especially on the internet, where intelligence was never a requirement! In a fair world the ICC could never have condemned Putin after all the US wars! We have to be patient. The unipolar world and the hegemony of the US dollar are in the last days! Ukraine has always been just a tool of the Empire of lies! All the best.
Why shouldn’t Putin go to South Africa? This will be the end of ICC.
Poroshenko would’ve handled this whole invasion thingy in 3 days.
If Elensky is killed, Putin and Xi will ask, who’s next?
Then they will ask is he interested in serious Peace or continued fuckery?
If he is interested in Peace, then China and Russia will come in with peace and prosperity to tebuild the Ukraine without the Nazis. Why? Ukraine is an integral part of the One Belt One Road initiative which China continues to invest into it heavily.
If he is interested in resuming hostility, then all of Ukraine will become Russian and Polish and the Belt and Road project will continue leading to more fuckery from the European Elites and despair in Europe as their Energy and Food dwindles according to the WEF’s reset.
And of course, Russia can do nothing. Except proceed with the plan that is working very well right now. What is interesting about this is that these actions do nothing except unify Russia. Look at 9/11 and the resurgence of “patriotism”. I imagine trash talking Putin in a Moscow bar tonight would be a very good way to get a ass whooping.
But just like a shit testing woman, Ukraine will up the ante with CIA/NSA assistance. As Ukraine loses any pretense of effective military action, the terrorist actions will ramp up. Which ensures that Russia has to go all the way to the Polish border. Can they allow a haven of CIA financed terrorists right across the Dnieper? Of course not.
And every day Russia continues, the West weakens. Our military recruitment falling off a cliff. Interest rates rose to 5.25% today. Military armories empty with no quick replenishment due to Pentagon mismanagement and waste. 32 Trillion in debt and adding at least another 2 Trillion this year. While most regional banks will fail due to their overstated commercial real estate books. Riots in France and Germany inflation at 7%. And winter comes. And Europe may not luck out this time.
The idiotic trade war with China that Trump started is leading to the hot war over Taiwan. But in any case, we have effectively ended trade with China and Russia. Which will lead to long standing inflation due to supply constraints. And of course, our country is walking up to another Biden/Trump election. Can the State of the Union not be better reflected by the fact these two are our “choice”? And Biden will certainly win. When the Democrats took the Wisconsin Supreme Court that question was settled.
Evil always wins. But evil always pays. My country murdered 11 million people AFTER World War 2. One million in Iraq alone. While we cheered the torture chambers of Abu Ghraib. Karma has turned her slow-motion gaze upon the USA. The reckoning is upon us.
Just as somebody said: “We haven’t even started yet. The reckoning has not even begun. World War III is a reckoning by the whole world. Delivered in unison, in many voices, and all at once.
It very much looks like a provocative action (MI6 ?)
The way Blinken yesterday eluded to answer the journalist’s question was also very telling. Either felt guilty (?) or did not wish to disclose anything inadvertently that might “harm our close allies and friends”.
Someone tested a mystery drone over Tucson last year. I wonder if this could be the same model used in Russia?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbTVpmegaDQ
I am inclined to an RF FF ops. Likely to be the first made by Russia, and a good one too: no collateral damages, high plausible deniability rate, reunite the Nation after the ambiguous Wagner’s head words, make the Zelensky life a bit more uncomfortable.
Naogi- really? On the eve of May 9, the victory in WWII parade to stage an attack on Putin’s residence is RF’s FF? You are not on any serious medication, are you? The brainiacs like you still believe that NS are RF FF or the “6 men and a dog” on Andromeda. You are the pride, hope and joy of WEF.
It’s only heaven, more than the Kremlin for Russians since the beginning of time, it will be like that forever. You are right, Lara, Russia will not react with emotions, but as always with the mind and its great Spirit.
The Russian and Ukrainian peoples are interwoven in a way that makes the SMO a civil war in many respects.
It hurts deeply and it hurts both ways.
The attacker who succeeded in blowing up Darya Dugina’s car was able to go around unnoticed, this is neither surprising nor a security failure, since many Ukrainians look, behave, sound (etc) just like the RF citizen next door.
Therefore, such attacks might happen again and again.
In my view this specific action smells of desperation = of the Kyev regime trying any trick designed to involve NATO more into the war. (With a possible “helping” hand of the MI6 in order to make the waters more muddy.)
I remember that the Rwanda mass murders (1994) were planned and prepared in advance but triggered by the downing of the president’s plane, himself being killed in the “accident”. It’s not above the Bandera extremists to push such a scenario and organize a provocation in order to have Z. effectively eliminated. I trust the political wisdom of the Kremlin to not play along this emotional game.
Try this…from Zerohedge:

Larry, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, buy a new microphone. The sound is horrendous and is horrendous with everyone you interview with.
Is just impossible that all your interviewers have internet/connection problems.
I am frankly exasperated because, of all the people interviewed on these topics, YOU have a lot of substantive things to say.
Thank you.
I am working on it. Going back to the headset.
Your broadband is still getting bottlenecked too. Spectrum, no doubt.
Whoever did this was a party in NATO-Jukraine camp. Don’t believe Russia will respond with tactical nukes but instead – in cooperation with its allies- would speed up the international war on the US dollar. That should put additional pressure on western the financial- banking sector which is currently on verge of spectacular collapse as we saw happen to the First Republic Bank and others, recently. Basically the US and their European lackeys are toast, without even the use of nukes. They’ll end up packing their military basis around the world starting from the Middle East, back to their oil/gas-poor corners of the world. A new Eurasian World Order and its Heartland under the control of the regional countries led by Russia-China-India is emerging..
Most likely to me is false flag from within Russia, maybe even oligarchs against/for Putin. Not from Ukraine. Sure Kiev is provoking the Kremlin at every opportunity, but to fly a small drone from Ukrainian territory seems far fetched.
It had the desired effect of uniting the Russian population to go all out if necessary to destroy Ukraine in any way Kremlin seems fit. Putin has a free pass to do anything he wants now with full support.
Putin has a free pass to do anything
He had that from day one. Don’t forget, the Russians knew how the banderites unleashed terror shelling on Donbass civilians for 8 years while the West just hummed and hawed and declared ‘nothing to see here.’
This, after 15 years earlier, NATO had unleashed a major bombing campaign on Yugo over a mere dozen or so alleged civilians but most likely combatants in a trench in Racak, announced to the world by a former US ‘ambassador’ to El Salvador whose main function had been to cover up war crimes by the Salvadoran US proxy military. To top it all off, the Yugo bombing morphed into purposely targeting civilian infrastructure and the civilians within by its second month, also a war crime in an undeclared war and this AFTER Milosevic had agreed to a cease fire, to withdraw troops and allow UN peacekeepers in, but Nuland’s mentor Albright would have none of that. They wanted Yugoslavia in pieces, so NATO could pick up the pieces at its leisure.
Lethal hypocrisy can’t get much more transparent than that, for those who care to look.
As I’ve previously opined, we are moving inexorably toward WWIII. What choice is left to the U.S./Western elites?
We’re on the precipice of financial ruin. To expect that they will admit they’ve screwed up everything they’ve touched and rescind our stated doctrine of “full spectrum dominance” is horribly naive. Their wealth and power are wedded to it. Without the U.S. standing atop the global order unchallenged, they’re finished and they know it.
If indeed there was an attack on the Kremlin, you can bet the U.S. gave the green light. It’s desperation time. Ukraine is teetering along with the west. All out war – even if it goes nuclear – is preferable to our “leaders” than admitting defeat and all that that implies. Their insane neocon doctrine demands the breakup of Russia and crushing China. The U.S. cannot and will not tolerate a world where we aren’t its undisputed master. It’s the only thing that allows Americans to live as we do. We are 5% of the world’s population consuming half of its resources. We are the only nation that can spend without limits because everyone else is left holding the bag.
As Dick Cheney famously said, “The American way of life isn’t negotiable.”
And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall.
“If indeed there was an attack on the Kremlin, you can bet the U.S. gave the green light.”
I wouldn’t be so sure. The US has reportedly kaboshed similar attacks in the past. It could well have been a frustrated Jukie faction lashing out while the Puppet King was out of town.
I couldn`t agree more: on all current evidence, the ukraine conflict is going to escalate into a fully-fledged nuclear conflagration between russia and/or china and NATO. why? because that is the game plan.
anybody who believes that NATO isn`t prepared to go all the way and doesn`t have all the necessary ways and means (troops, weaponry) at its disposal has to be naïve beyond belief: we would all do well not to underestimate the perfidy and cunning of our own western masters.
They are certainly crazy (and desperate) enough to go all-in; indeed, many of them are itching for it.
This is Game of Thrones level shit.

@Juan Valdez
As Dick Cheney famously said, “The American way of life isn’t negotiable.”
Here the guy talks total rubbish, he doesn’t even know what that is. I’m guessing the guy is from “upper middle class or even upper class” and not from “gutter or lower class”. This only applies to people who have made it to the top with hard work, diligence and perseverance, etc., etc. from the bottom.
But he doesn’t belong. So he doesn’t even know what that means as he’s never been down or descended from down there. He belongs more or less to “money aristocracy”.
Is just my personal opinion.
Bankovaya, well this is like fighting with fists after the fight finished. Can you see this image? Looks stupid.
Good for the Kremlin and Duma, they said an opinion. Now do us, the ones this attack is for.
What do I mean? Don’t you know or don’t you think about us enough? Well it’s not about President Putin but about removing him. They can’t do that without help. Our help.
Anyway we know finally who was involved in your “Twin Tower*. There’s your answer.
A few thoughts on “show business.”
Terrorist attacks, even more so against civilian targets in Russia, are insignificant for the outcome of the war. This “cabaret piece” about these drones over the Kremlin is in the same vein. But if I take a reserved part in the current speculations, this action has another intention than just to achieve dissatisfaction in the Russian population with Putin and their leadership.
I love to scribble. So let’s imagine for a brief moment a pristine white sheet of paper and a pen. Now let’s start brainstorming by scribbling keywords in the upper left corner without thinking too much.
Ukraine, West, war, Russia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Africa, Europe, vassals, Latin America, Asia, resistance commodities, energy, money, debt, exclamation point, Great Reset, trade, nuclear war, US elections.
There, that’s enough for now.
For each word, we make a dot on the sheet. Then we connect each dot to another one that we think there is a connection between these respective two. I, at least, come to the conclusion that every single point is connected to all the others.
Let us now make a mental arc. The “Great Reset” is no longer globally enforceable. We are watching the process of individual countries and their national oligarchs gradually having to choose sides. Either as part of the U.S. empire and the “Great Reset” or for the expanding economic power of Eurasia. Certainly a development whose outcome depends on which side is more successful politically, economically and militarily.
I, at least, recognize the growing weakness of the West. This is manifested more and more in the fact that the West has more and more difficulties to compete with China and other economic rivals and even technologically the West is losing ground. So it is increasingly resorting to various forms of violence. Be it military threats, coups, color revolutions, economic terror, blackmail, etc…, which of course makes the West more and more unpopular in the world. At this point, the progress or setbacks of the BRICS and SCO and EAWU are crucial. We are currently at this point in the process.
If, and I don’t doubt it for a moment, the aforementioned alliances will succeed, then the Great Reset would only be enforceable behind the sky-high wall of the West. But while mankind would then prosper outside the “Great Reset” and participate in its gigantic economic projects like e.g. the BRI, at least the West outside North America would be cut off from raw materials and energy sources or would have to obtain them at least very expensively, which would make it uncompetitive outside its isolated world. In addition, the impoverished populations in the West, deprived of all rights, would have to be kept under control, and it has been sufficiently described by the Great Reset-employees of the upper 0, 1%, in which slavery we would then find ourselves. Dystopian would be a strong understatement to that. A gigantic concentration camp would describe it rather.
But at the same time some of the vassals would change sides. Like e.g. South Korea, Japan, Philippines, …. . The shirt there is closer to the oligarchs than the pants and still applies, business is business.
What does all this have to do with the drone circus over the Kremlin? I am speculating again.
The Western nuclear campaign is ramping up again. DU munitions, Russia would shell the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya where it sits itself, constant unsubstantiated claims Russia wants to use nuclear weapons in Nazi Ukraine, and now nuclear sensors are being installed en masse in Ukraine to supposedly know immediately if Russia has used a nuclear weapon.
I fear a nuclear false flag by the West in Ukraine.
The “Kremlin drones” are mainly intended to provoke Russia’s leadership into spontaneous and spectacular reactions, which can be integrated into this false flag package by the media.
If the West goes this far, it shows that it sees itself losing.
As I said, all just speculative and thinking out loud.
“I fear a nuclear false flag by the West.”
I would like to believe you can’t false flag some things. Nuclear War being one. The extinction of all human life on the planet being another. Creating biological weapons on your own doorstep being another. Because nobody is stupid enough to create spike proteins on their own front doorstep. “It got loose. It turned on them. Game Over.”
You never know what all this manmade shit is going to mutate into.
But you can hope.
Yes they are. Look up the Fort Detrick shutdown.
Also see, possibly, EVALI.
This was done a week before the Victory Day parade. Meant to spook the leadership – they won’t be too secure standing atop the mausoleum now, keeping one eye on the sky the whole time.
“Spook the leadership.” Maybe. But whose leadership?
Interesting how somebody is always keeping enough of one eye on the sky to make sure the other eye brings a camera with them, just so they can film what we are being led to believe are important historical events, like drones attacking the Kremlin.
Like The Reichstag Fire in 1933, they will be replaying this footage 90-years from now. All you end up with is a Reichstag building that looks pretty beat up. A hollowed-out shell, like all symbols of government
I think that the Russian leaders are not craven cowards like ours.
Imagine the Russian response if they were to actually attack the May parades, they are ready to launch and although they do not seem to want to I think there would be a violent response
They have a problem. Millions of Ukrainians entered the RF in the last year. Have they all been vetted properly? Hell no. Are there sleepers among them? You figure the odds.
The potential for a May 9th ‘event’ is high. It should be shut down.
I have always wondered if false flags even matter anymore. They are either a distraction event or a re-focusing event. Choice is not an option.
The British setting fire to the White House during the War of 1812? All part of the “Sixty Years’ War.” The Reichstag fire of 1933, which solidified Hitler’s rise to Der Fuhrer? Just the most efficient way possible to bring in the new Nazis and get rid of the old. The 9/11 attack on the twin towers? The third tower that fell down all by itself was just . . . what? A distraction by issuing bonus points?
All of these events were inside jobs. If we have learned anything it’s that conspiracy theories are all conspiracy facts.
The Russians droned their own Kremlin.
Striking the Kremlin is the same as if “somebody” droned the White House and the U.S. Capitol Building all in the same night.
The White House has been torched before. No biggie. Until it is. Maybe. Maybe not.
“What doesn’t kill you just makes you stranger.”
Welcome to the clown show.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhfSQ7WaOa0
Hopefully this will put an end to the absurd “walkabout” charades, where The Strip Bar Manager gets to pose with washed-up Western politicians and Hollywood Z-listers?
We can but hope!
I have come to see drones and drone attacks as just exploding party favors.
At least the small ones.
A voice of reason. I see it similar to the master of this weblog.
The point is: mirror-image reactions often have the unpleasant consequence of plunging into the ethical abyss from which the opponent acts.
The plan could be something like: Tighten the thumbscrews until the regime dismantles itself.
Whether this is the plan, and if so, whether it works … we shall see …
And Medvedev – this is the voice for the people, but above all the omen for Western “civilization”, whose roughly 500-year history ends here and now …
Ukraine has been referred to as the “Heartland” of Europe for decades now after Zbigniew Brezinski probably coined the term in the 1970s. In the minds of Brezinski’s ideological offspring which are the helm of power in the West, who controls Ukraine controls not just Europe but the entire Eurasian land mass which extends all the way to the Pacific, China included. The prize is just too big and the fighters involved will not simply throw in the towel after a short left jab to head. Only a massive upper-cut to the jaw followed by an explosive hook will put the opponent down on the mat to say “no mas..no mas…”
This “drone” strike has the same effect as a boxer spitting on his opponents face. It servers no tactical purpose but only as an “antagonizer”, an instigator. I see Russia acting like a Nicolino Locche or Willy Pep in the ring, wearing out your opponent using outstanding defensive manoeuvres, a connection of stinging jabs then masterfully evading all counter punches left and right until your opponent has no gas left and this arms drop to his side. The US, GB and friends are the worn out and floored boxer’s corner crew who think they will then enter the ring and avenge him. Big mistake!
the “heartland theory” was coined by british geographer and geostrategist halford mackinder in the very early 20th century, not by zbigniev brzezinski (sic). mackinder`s theory has effectively formed the basis of anglo-saxon geostrategy ever since: anglo-saxon sabotage of germany`s nordstream pipelines is literally the cherry on top of the collective west`s contnued adherence to mackinder`s grand geostrategic plan.
worst of all, in view of germany`s (and with it europe`s) current economic and geopolitical predicament, mackinder`s concepts seem to have worked out most excellently for the anglo-saxon ruling class!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Geographical_Pivot_of_History
Thanks for the exactitude and in fact, I dare say it is highly more compatible with the deluded Anglo-Saxon mental framework than the rantings of a former Polish noble .
The Military Summary
https://rumble.com/c/c-1613003
about a week ago reported a number of drones found around Moscow – SE area. Curious to say the least. Drones were armed but had run out of fuel. The commentator – don’t know his name, said his team had discussed this. Their only conclusion was they were ‘hunting someone’. Now this.
if this was not a russian “false flag” to rally the population, then what were the two guards doing on the roof of the kremlin at the precise moment that the drone was approaching? apparently, a physical presence of personnel on the kremlin roof is not something that is otherwise seen, ever.
the question therefore becomes: was the kremlin forewarned about an incoming flying object and if so, why?
There were two drones. Ever think that maybe the first gave a warning for an armed roof presence to appear and pos. deal with the second? No? Didn’t think so.
Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to listen to the stream in the article in translation (the neural network will learn to translate this in a day or two). I can judge the content of the conversation only by the comments.
My assessment of the incident (the drone attack on the Kremlin) and the reaction to it in general terms coincides with the opinion of political scientist Alexander Asafov.
The attack on the Kremlin is, first of all, an information-psychological operation.
Those who call:
– immediately respond with Kinzhal or Sarmat missiles at Zelensky and / or the government building in Kyiv;
– respond “properly” to the transition of certain “red lines”;
– with the requirement of military courts over those who allowed / missed it – to reward the uninvolved, to punish the innocent 🙂 –
they reacted to the provocation in the way that the enemies of Russia expected from them, that is, with hysteria and panic, and devoured the conclusion that was presented to us on a silver platter – eat, Muscovites, do not slop.
No, that will not do. It is necessary to maintain patience, endurance, a cold mind and sound logic.
The drone attack seems to have been launched from inside of Russia, given the size and range of the drones, so that’s why no air defence recognition. Given the news last night about Bidet and a whistleblower leading to the FBI being subpoenaed to appear before Marjorie Taylor Greene, I wonder is this an MI6\CIA operation that hopes to bump off Elensky and blame it on Russia, given the outrage in Moscow from everyone bar President Putin.
The last thing Bidet and co need is a greedy, soft actor sailing off into exile with hundreds of millions, if not billions, of US taxpayers money, or worse still if he was captured or kidnapped by the Russians.
Let’s ask ourselves one fundamental question. Would Russia really have to go to such a poor staging to remove Zalensky from the world of the living??? They could have done it at any other convenient time. One well placed Х-47М2 (Kinjal) was enough. Would there be any obstacles? That this clown is still alive may be due to Russian graciousness. Perhaps more useful for Moscow is Zelensky alive. Who knows?
When the two drones were being directed towards the Kremlin, president Zelensky appeared in Helsinki, Finland, far away from Kiev. Today he made his appearance in the Netherlands
https://russian.rt.com/world/news/1144362-niderlandy-vstrecha-politik
The leader of the Dutch party van der Plas refused to meet with Zelensky
Caroline van der Plas, leader of the right-wing Dutch Farmer-Civil Movement party, called the visit of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to the Netherlands inappropriate and refused to attend a meeting with him.
She noted that May 4 is the Day of Remembrance for the Dutch victims of World War II.
“This is what should be the focus of May 4th. Not Zelensky. I think his visit is very inappropriate,” she wrote on Twitter .
Van der Plas said that she had notified the chairman of the country’s House of Representatives about her absence from the meeting with Zelensky.
Earlier, Politico reported that Zelensky had arrived in the Netherlands , where he would meet with Prime Minister Mark Rutte, as well as with Foreign and Defense Ministers Wopke Hoekstra and Kaisa Ollongren.
***
Also Geert Wilders refused to meet him, while the ruling coalition parties try to make the war in Ukraine look like a Dutch event (because of MH17 having been hit by an UA BUK). But why is Zelensky staying far off his home in Kiev? Because when he comes back to Kiev he will meet with the Russian response. I also take into consideration that the drone attack on the Kremlin was a false flag. It is possible that Zelensky’s trip to Helsinki was cleverly made to coincide with a staged drone attack in Moscow. Zelensky knows that he has a big problem with him returning to Kiev. I wonder which country is next on his list of ‘friendly’ countries.
Washington has now issued concerns that Kiev’s Chinese Embassy…. uh, sorry – American Embassy might now be targeted.
Just a thought. If the motive for the Kremlin drone attack, being so small, was to inflame tensions in Russia rather than to do significant damage, the most likely culprits would be anyone on either side who wanted to do this, e.g. NATO supporters trying to push Russia into a hasty response, or Russian hardliners trying to push the Kremlin into a more aggressive response. It might have been an ‘official’ action, but not necessarily so. I agree with the idea that putting a target on Zelensky’s back might have been the motive!
Why did the drones reach the Kremlin? If the Kremlin is fortified, it might have been safer to let the drones reach it before destroying them. I guess that the professional security guys tracking enemy drones would be more concerned with public safety at the critical time than with the political optics.
A BBC Mi6 flunky was on the news earlier speculating it was a Russian false flag. That is certainly possible, but it’s hard to see what the point of it would be from Russia’s perspective.
We were also told that Russia blew up its own pipeline.
Next we will be told that Russia attacked itself with nuclear weapons.
Larry is right about assets within the Ukie government, but a missile into 11 Bankovaya Street would be unlikely to hurt any of them. Let Elenskyy find new digs. The message sent would be understood even by people as dull and fanatical as Sullivan, Nuland, and Bolton. Who knows, perhaps even Graham and Hannity might finally shed a bit of their insanity.
I consider it very doubtful that the Russians will attempt to take out Zelensky.
After all, if they did succeed then his replacement might be, you know, competent.
Alexander on the Duran made an interesting observation: that the drone which we see hitting the Kremlin was actually launched to destroy the Russian flag on the building.
What about, what appears to be, two figures moving up the dome on the left hand side when the drone comes in and explodes on the right side?
Alexander Mercouris’ phrase: “The Escalation Escalator”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Apocalypse Now”
Captain Willard:
Oh,
man, the bullshit piled up so fast
in Vietnam, you needed wings to
stay above it.
Judging by the fire on the dome and the presence of flammable liquid, the intent might have been to crash through a window or roof and start a major fire, which would have a significant impact before the May 9th Celebrations.
The more disturbing possibility is that there might have been coordination with someone inside the Kremlin who could provide information on the President’s exact location. Hence the talk of an assassination attempt.
We can be sure the investigation will be thorough, and the necessary measures will be taken to protect the Russian Government.
It reminds me of the biplane torpedo bombers launched off the Victorious against the Bismarck. The Bismarck had a tough time shooting them down, they were so slow. That’s another problem with the Ukrainians attacking Moscow with drones. It’s like a test of their air defences also. That may have always been the fancy of the west to have a test bed in a hostile state next to Russia where they could play war against Russia, profit their war industries and present a show and a face of boldness to the world of hypocrisy, with no concept of the risk of nuclear war.
@ Datcha42 (who was replying to Seleukas’s comment)
“Meh. I’m a westerner living in Russia. Maybe there’s some legit poverty somewhere, but I don’t see it. I tell you what I don’t see, homeless drug addicts. Also – I’ve never been anywhere where social cohesion is so high. I think she was just playing up what you wanted to hear.”
What part of Russia do you live in? And is it a larger city, smaller town, or rural?
Re: Seleukas’ comment immediately before yours, it was interesting, and it could be true, but it could also be an attempt at “cognitive infiltration” to support (and build support for) a particular narrative.
But then, so could anyone’s comments, including mine.
Someone comments in other blog : ” The hight and trajectory of the drone clearly shows that it would have missed the dome of the Kremlin completely had it followed it course.”
Interesting. Others points : two two men on the roof of the kremlin . A drone crossing Russia from Ukraine and being shot down right above the roof of the Kremlin. could be a false flag ? Maybe !
Larry, your second interview mentioned that the Kremlin attack was a sign of weakness, not strength. It was desperation and, to my mind, a temper tantrum, not tactical or strategic. Well said!
L. (the other Larry Johnson)
This is a general comment, one that I have not seen any contributor nor commentor express before on any website I am engaged with. Forget what you all call the neocons. They are only slaves to the real masters. Remember back in 1870 (approx) when Rothschild said “I don’t care who is in power. When you control the money you control the govt”. The family was worth ten billion then. When you own and control basically 60% or more of the government’s, resources and industry and you have extracted as much as possible from the current elite criminal system then you need to create a new system. Firstly you print lots of money and feed it into your institutions using any BS reasons you so desire to feed to the sheeple. As a finale you create a war that produces untold wealth for these same institutions. Your goal is to break the system completely. It matters not to you when you have unbelievable underground facilities with nuclear proof, clear air, water, food extra extra facilities. You and your elite all have similar facilities that would allow you to survive for years. This is the current play. They are destroying the USA, Europe and the western world. They summise that the majority of the remaining “civilised” world will succumb to a d as similar fate. I.e. economic destruction. A nuclear war is not something they are afraid of. In fact I believe this is their ultimate goal and who could ever pinpoint the blame to them when “them” is quite faceless. I do not believe the west (“them”) will stop with any kind of Russian victory. How could they possibly accept their
loss ? When you are masters of the universe and you have made your commitment to supreme annilation in respect to population reduction and total control, how could you possibly accept defeat ?
You may think I am way out there but who would have believed or accepted the Covid bs 10 years ago. Who saw what was happening with Ukraine since the 90’s and put 2 & 2 together with Iraq, lybia, balkans, financial crisis of 2008 and so many other events that all point to a final collapse of the current economic systems. Engineered of course.
Even when Putin invaded the Donbass after a proxy war within the Civil War, many commentators like Chomsky and others accuse him of a deplorable mistake and stupidity for invading, as if he is the fool and the criminal.
The excuse presented for not wiping out the Ukrainian government is that they need some form of leadership to negotiate with, not the many forms of chaos.
He is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. But imo the greatest reason Putin had for the invasion was the nuclear weapons threat on his borders, parallel to the Cuban Missile crisis. That is getting worse. Any type of tactical nuke could be employed the same way by drone. The threat environment for the Russians against nuclear strike is now times ten, either because the Americans can’t control their dog or its pack, and/or a dog is simply following its obedience training and trying to please their master.
Couldn’t this attack have been planned by an Ukrainian faction that’s antagonistic to Zelenski?
The reasoning being:
A. Zelenski is out of the country during the attack. Maybe he does not come back and his government collapses. OR
B. Zelenski comes back and Russia reacts with a decapitation strike. OR
C. Zelenski comes back, no Russian reaction and Russia wins the war but now it’s impossible for Zelenski to be a negotiator in the aftermath.
Any Ukrainian faction that wants Zelenski out would find any of the above scenarios very attractive.
Today NPR said the drone attack was a false flag and cited the Institute for the Study of War. Of course NPR is backing the neocons like all the corporate media. Keep up the great work Larry!
Between the moment the “incident” occurs and it is recorded, and the moment the Russian side broadcasts it, a few hours pass. That time and that Russia was the source seems decisive in making the false flag attack less plausible. What objectives are they pursuing by showing themselves as a vulnerable victim of an attack on the symbolic center of Power?
Thanks, Larry!
If the White House was struck with a similar drone by Russian-backed proxies, one could only imagine the howls emanating from mass media. Instead their silence speaks volumes.
Since Russians tend to respond through decisive actions rather than a non-stop stream of harsh words, something big must be in the works. Recently, within the last year, the Russians have substantially upgraded air-dropped bombs like the FAB-250 with a wing kit and navigation system which converts it to a low cost precision munition with devastating effect. The guided bomb has a range of up 80km after being dropped by an SU-34 and with little or no risk from air defenses. Dozens of these upgraded bombs are being dropped on Kiev forces every day.
In view of the fact that the prevailing wisdom seems to point at the failure of the Ukrainian counter offensive, could the drone attacks on the Kremlin represent an attempt to goad the Russians into solving a western problem by eliminating Zelensky and his cronies?
Smells of perfidious albion (and the train derailments etc in Russia proper, classic British SF tactics).
Don’t really know, pure speculation but perhaps possible.
Great program. We are seeing the accelerating decline of late-stage American capitalism, that has progressed to the point where the survival of the American empire is dependent on endless money printing to support banks, financial markets and the military. US taxpayers have spent over $21 trillion on post-911 militarization, supporting conflicts (debacles?) in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Ukraine. After expending so much financial and human capital, the Pentagon is unable to extricate itself from these wars as doing so is an admission of defeat/failure and by definition military weakness.
“If ignorant both of your opponent and of yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril.” (Sun Tzu)
“Morale is to the material, as three is to one.” (Napoleon)
This attack on the Kremlin should not be underestimated, especially so close to the ” Great Patriotic War” rememberance in Russia. (Note: Having witnessed this event in Moscow a few years back, this is conducted with solemn religious intensity). IMO, in order to get a perspective from the Russian side, I have started to watch “The Unknown War” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Unknown_War_(TV_series. This documentary is about the Russian experience against the Nazis in WW II. (A USA TV series, written by Rod Mckuen and narrated by Burt Lancaster. It would be banned and burned in the US nowdays. My insight so far, , if one wants to trigger Russian patriotism, then attack Moscow.
The Medvedev’s tweet that the Drug Addict (DA) of Kiev and the rest of the cohort are now a legitimate target is the wrong message, if the Russians want to do it, they should get on with it without saying it, the tool box of a senior member of any administration should not contain an assassination, this is not the way to conduct international relations, it only implies the Russians deploy or could deploy barbaric means to achieve an objective.
However much the DA of Kiev is wrong on virtually any aspect of the war his response mentioning a tribunal was the correct one.
Russians don’t want to do it, and have no benefit in doing it. He tweeted that in order to scare the Drug Addict. Cocaine induced paranoia must be fun when combined with death threats by someone wielding a Kinzhal.
Very inspired by your input on geopol matters in these videos on May 2023-05-04.
What I’m really concerned about – being from the Montreal-Gatineau area in Canada – what is happening in the US. What and where are the geopol centers – if any – that are emerging in the US?
I want to see the Krain commemorative stamp of the FAIL.
Only the 51st CPUSA (D) state would commemorate failure.
You better not miss when you go to take out the king.
The “complete nothing-burger” suggests it could just be a false flag launched by the Kremlin itself just to stir up some support for Russia’s bogged-down military strategy in Ukraine.
“Russia’s bogged-down military strategy in Ukraine”
OMG another one repeating the FUD myth.
If the attrition of untold hundreds of thousands of men (and a few NAZI soldier bitches too), 10,000 armoured vehicles, and all the other Ukie weapons while making slow but sure westward gains and minimising your own casualties is bogged down then being ‘bogged down’ is a good place to be.
Please send my regards to newdill.
This Russian SMO distinguish itself from Western military adventures by having disproportionately very low civilian casualty ratio of 10,000 civilians against 200,000 combatants. 1:20, the reverse of which is likely true for other wars witnessed over the last century, as a result of indiscriminate carpet bombing. Which makes the SMO morally correct, in keeping with its original intent to save civilians in the Donbass from oppression of the Nazi-backed Ukrainian government. I don’t think this intent is lost in Putin even in the heat of raging battles & calls for revenge on terror attacks conducted within Russia. That is because Putin distinguish himself from Western leaders by being patient and measured in his response. And I believe there are enough Russians who share this attitude.
The lateness of the interception, the size of the drone(s) used, and the rather anaemic explosion suggests rather strongly that this was not a fully professional job. Drones of that size don’t carry enough energy storage to fly for long, and especially not if they’re carrying a usefully powerful warhead.
My own purely speculative guess is that the drone was released within a 20km radius, and that it may even have been some Russian anti-war / anti-Putin activists that released it, if not a Ukrainian sleeper cell within Russia. The intent seems to have been to say “Boo!” and gain bragging rights within their clique. I’d be surprised if a professional expected them to do anything strategically valuable if they got through the air defence. Riling up the Russian public for no good purpose is not what a professional is paid to do.
Ukraine has limited numbers of Soviet drones that can fly to Moscow from within its territory. The Soviet era TU-141 reconnaissance drone has >1000km range and can be modified to carry a large warhead. It is thought to be what hit the Engels and Dyagilevo air bases last December. A serious Ukrainian attack on the Kremlin would’ve used something similar.
Putin and his staff think consciously. They certainly know how did this attacks and as the author said, Putin will not answer by emotion. The responsible will be hunted and punished. After that, he will give to Zelenski and his monkeys a demonstration of what means to attack Moscow.
Regarding false flags, when did we hear that the Soviets or the Russians committed a crime in order to blame someone else towards establishing a policy or carrying out an action? That has been the speciality of the western criminal mafia for generations, specially since the WWII. Whoever gives s thought to such notion carries no credit.
Concerning Johnson’s remarks about the Vatican, and Napolitano’s suggestion of mediation, one can be sure that the judge will not bring this matter to Johnson again; he briefly outlined the age-old animosity of religious Rome against Orthodoxy, and the current criminal behaviour and persecution of Ukronazis against Orthodoxy in the country, as well as the hand of Rome behind it all (implied), as the reason why the Vatican should not be permitted to move a finger as an open agent – since she is a treacherous executor already.
Napolitano is a fanatical Roman catholic, to the point of choosing their Latin ceremonies – still a minority in that religion – over the vernacular (a turning back to Trento and the Roman Inquisition)
On the two drones over Kremlin: Baron reckons it wasn’t a false flag op, it was for real.
if it were a false flag op the Russians would have destroyed the two contraptions not minutes before the drones got to the target, but well before to demonstrate the 3-5 lines of defences around Moscow work, destroying the drones just before they hit is quite embarrassing, humiliating, suggesting the defences are porous, nobody would design a false flag op to result in humiliation of the false flag op designing party.
