Let’s give the Ukrainian Government of Volodomyr Zelensky credit for one thing — they are world class liars. Yesterday I wrote about the attempted attack on the Russian ship, the Ivan Khurs, by three maritime drones and simply acknowledged that there was a video that claimed to show one of the drones hitting a ship. It was implied that the ship was the Ivan Khurs but there was no identifying information to corroborate the claim.
Today we know the truth. Ukraine lied. The Ivan Khurs pulled into port in the Black Sea on its own power with no visible damage.
This is a consistent pattern for Ukraine. Remember the Ghost of Kiev? That intrepid Ukrainian ace that allegedly shot down six Russian combat aircraft during the first month of the Special Military Operation? Turns out that was footage lifted from a video game and most of the Western media, not to mention several gullible politicians, gobbled up the lie and exulted over Ukraine’s faux victory.
Normally a person or institution regularly exposed as a prevaricator would be denounced and ignored. But not Ukraine. Zelensky and company insisted a year ago that Russia had not taken Mariupol despite conclusive video evidence of the remnants of Ukraine’s neo-Nazi AZOV battalion surrendering to the Russian Chechens as they limped out of the Azovstal steel plant.
Rinse and repeat with Bakhmut. Russia’s Wagner Group was busy hoisting victory flags over the fallen city while Ukrainian political and military leaders continued to insist that their boys were still in the fight. Nope, they were dead, captured or retreating. It was only today that a Ukrainian official, ex-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, finally conceded that Bakhmut was kaput.
The lies and self-delusion are not restricted to Ukraine. In the United States a bi-partisan group of legislators called on Dementia Joe to send Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Ukraine:
Yesterday, members of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the U.S. Helsinki Commission, Chairman Representative Joe Wilson (SC-02), Ranking Member Representative Steve Cohen (TN-09) and Commissioner Representative Victoria Spartz (IN-05) sent a letter to President Biden, requesting he grants the transfer of MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) to Ukraine.
In the letter, Commissioners thank the Administration for its beginning steps on getting F-16s to Ukrainian defenders and emphasize the importance of ATACMS on targeting Russian frontlines in occupied Ukraine as well as pushing back Russian supply chain systems which fuel their genocidal war. During the Commissioners’ recent trip to Ukraine and meeting with President Zelensky, ATACMS were requested for an immediate battlefield advantage. These powerful weapons could provide the advantage Ukraine needs to secure its freedom, and the only remaining hurdle to their delivery is the President’s approval.
This should put Russia and China on notice that it is not just Joe Biden and his inept National Security team that are intent on escalating the war in Ukraine. There also is a vocal, bipartisan group of legislators who are pressing to expand the war and are oblivious to the risk inherent in their proposal of Russian retaliation. The Washington Establishment is still willing to bet the lives of Ukrainians on their illusory vision that Russia is teetering towards defeat and their belief that Ukraine is just one Wunderwaffen miracle weapon from total victory.
I am sad to report to those of you who live outside of the Untied States that most Americans are clueless about the implications of the United States apparent strategy of escalation. Most assume that if Russia can bomb Ukrainian cities then fair play dictates that Ukraine should be able to do the same. The point they miss is that Ukraine is incapable of such attacks without the help of the United States and other NATO countries. Increasing Ukraine’s ability to strike further inside Russian territory will inevitably lead Russia to retaliate against those responsible for making those attacks possible. That means an inevitable clash with NATO. I believe that the United States should be doing everything in its power to avoid that. But it is doing the exact opposite and the potential for something terrible looms larger with each passing day.
The Ukrainian government demonstrably lies, but there again so does our media, a marriage made in heaven as the latter can cite the former asserting credibility with those ignorant of reality.
Things are happening outside the war in Ukraine that our media also lies about, we are living in an alternative reality. One group espouses a lie then the rest give it life by quoting the former as the authoritive source, and round and round it goes.
Where does it all end? With a larger war or is fear like the pandemic to be used to herd us into our pens? The black hats are running the West lock, stock and barrel, let’s hope the other side really are what they proclaim to be.
Oceania was at war with Eurasia; therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia.
🙂 Until it starts a war with another block, then Oceania will/was always been at war with that other block. Sadly, but true, this people’s model for our future come from nightmarish dystopian fiction books.
The joke is: Mention Big Brother to the average westerner and they will think of….. The “Reality TV” show! They do not know (?) about 1984, even though it is mentioned continuously. Now, a Conspiracy Theorist would say that the whole IDEA of the TV show is to take away what people understood about Big Brother…..
Gave a copy to my 15 year old grandson. Happy to report that he actually read it, and talked with me a bit about it. Maybe not all is lost yet.
As the reply chain ends with JVC, I use your comment to reply to him.
@JVC: Don’t forget to tell your grandson that “1984” was written by a MI-6 stooge who was in Burma, and in Catalonia as a British spy on the rebel anarchist movement. It is important that he learns in his age how deep the deception goes in the west, and how fudged biographies of writers on wiki and such use to be.
The message of this depressing book is “resistance is futile”. But as we now realize, to resist and to refute NOW is the only way out of the technocracy the deep state that took over the west in the last hundred+ years want to put on the world. So “1984” is talking about times absolutely a must to be avoided, and btw., as most what Orwell has written, very depressing and disturbing literature.
I preferred Pohl/Kornbluth, “The Space Merchants”, 1952. It also shows the trap very better the west is moving into, without being such a depressive quest into suicide Orwell’s books use to be.
Yes! … The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible.
Eurasia was Soviet-led Europe. Oceania was US-led Americans + Landstrip 1 (UK).
East Asia was China-led Asia.
Winston Smith has a new job – to go through all back copies of The Times to replace all references of Eurasia with Eastasia (the job now would be much easier with a Google search algorithm and Facebook shadow banning). To demonstrate that Eastasia had always represented absolute evil.
At least in 1984 they cut a deal with Eurasia so they could focus on the new enemy. Now (or probably around 2014) Eurasia and Eastasia did the deal and now work together.
Ukraine is run by a TV Production Company called Kvartal95 owned by Zelinsky who put his production team in key positions.
They are masters of Green Screen and CGI and what more do Western media companies really wish for ?
They have for years shown “prepared packages” from various lobby groups whether Gates Foundation or WEF or WWF or Greenpeace or Unit 8200 and spliced them into their “News” output without attribution – what is so different now ?
Journalists are Lobbyists and Propagandists – they are not Reporters of Fact
Westerners cannot see they are caught up in Class War – this is how the Moneyed Elite manipulates the agenda – foreign distractions and domestic ‘Panem et circenses’
The one thing YOU must not do is to question private jets, luxury homes, ostentatious spending, egregious wealth, destruction of privacy, increasing control over everyday existence………….
You are given colour-coded badges of “Hate Him, Support Them” and slogans to match – you get wall-to-wall advertising to promote the brand on TV and repeated slogans from the Puppets – Nolan Bushnell’s Pizzatime Theater on Capitol Hill
”Normally a person who is regularly exposed as a prevaricator would be denounced and ignored”.
Larry you are way too soft with your selection of the word (prevaricator).
The word Prevaricate means that the person is not purposely lying.
The word Equivocate means that the person is deliberately using words that have more than one meaning as a way to conceal the truth.
The word Lie means that the person is intentionally dishonest.
In the case of the War propaganda coming out of Kiev, Washington, London, Brussels and every western Mainstream media, the word Lies is the appropriate word to use, because they are intentionally dishonest, in order to mislead the Western population.
The US is now escalating toward World war III with Russia:

The 1st US Airborne division deployed in Romania.
The USS George W.H Bush (nuclear powered) deployed in the Adriatic Sea.
The USS Gerald Ford /nuclear powered) deployed in the strait of Skagerrak.
The US accepting F-16 delivery to Ukraine.

The best anti-recruitment line from Country Joe was:
“be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box”.
I made a few of my kids’ friends who were thinking about submitting to the recruiter’s scam decide living for one’s country was better than dying for the Banksters and lying politicians.
The attack was in the news. End of story for the Americans.
Amen Larry, well said. This insane thinking on the part of the administration and our legislators has to stop now or we are heading towards an escalation that no sane person would willingly do.
True – they seem oblivious to the fact they’re being played. Russia is content to not escalate and keep destroying NATO equipment at a leisurely pace, while dramatically expanding their military production capabilities. They’re in for the long haul, understanding what’s at stake, while the combined “west” is stuck on a century old idea:

As he states, failure is not an option, but it’s inevitable. That’s the conundrum we’re seeing play out.
An engineer buddy calls it the fake green screen war.
Pipelines and Great Reset prototype?
We have never been at war with Eurasia…until now.
Oh….your history is just so flawed……..
China remembers how Westerners burned their historic cities and occupied their territory………they KNOW how the Hong Hong Lease came about
Russia remembers Crimean War, invasion by Poles, Swedes, Germans……….and Americans 1918 and Japanese 1918, 1939, …….and British and French………and
Look at what EURASIA is and why they KNOW what US really is
Who’s gonna sign a rendition in the end ? The ones winning on the TV or the ones winning on the ground ? It’s like doping a cyclist , he can win the tour de France on screen but not being the one on the podium’s top in the end cause his piss is blue …
The Kiev thieving clique are all actors and video producers. Really the perfect background for any politician. It’s been deadly and effective. At the very beginning I sort of believed Russia was killing civilians just like I thought the video yesterday was possibly real. But I was able to by pass the truth blockade of the West and found videos like Lancasters that can’t be faked and show Russians to be a mundane disciplined army. Also there is a video of Ukrainians shooting bound Russians and gouging out the eyes of an old man the sounds could not be faked. They have the bad evil actors.
I’ve absolutely no doubt Ukrainians did the Bucha killings but what a good cover up! The NYT recently came out with “comprehensive” proof of it over a year late. Why them? Why no autopsies immediately after? (and a 100 other things). What conceivable motive would Russia have to do this and then artfully arrange the bodies to be found. It is so stupid. But it worked the first thing out of western politician mouths is Bucha.
They fooled the Pope and now that dumb Italian PM Meloni. (she is a complete dud).
Follow the flechettes. They tell the whole story – that’s why they never did and they never will.
It was the same with Katchanovski’s work on the Maidan slaughter.
And on and on…..
They know. They know some of us know, and as long as they can control the narrative, they don’t give a damn. This must be what it was like to live in Germany in the late 1930’s.
Ukraine and UN never produced even the list of people who were killed in Bucha, no matter how times Russia asked for it. I mean wth not?
UN: “We support an international investigation. However, Ukraine must be in the lead, as it occurred on their territory.”
Sound familiar?
With time inflation, rising interest rates and the government debt will collapse the war machine, NATO and the EU.
However will the cabal currently in charge let that happen without a fight ie WW3?
As you, Mick, mentioned, there is an obvious doubt: Is the cabal running “the west” really willing to sacrifice the majority of humanity in WWIII nuclear Armageddon, or are they just bluffing???
Sooner or later the “defensive” installations in Romania and Poland, a few satellites and several US/NATO UAV’s etc. will get annihilated, and the response of the “Joe Biden” entity will determine the outcome / answer to that question.
OTOH, the Russians could just wait until “the west” declares bankruptcy and then take all the offending systems / structures out, by whatever means…
(Me thinks the latter proposed outcome will become reality soon)
Cheers, JaKo
I don’t think so…
I guess a desperate move from the current US government, before collapsing.
Unfortunately, this US-Helsinki Commission and like minded folks are leaving the RF with only one option, a total collapse of the UA government and military – and even more unfortunately, the option has to now include collapse of government and the economy, in part or whole, of the US and EU. It’s the goal the West has set for the RF and it leaves the RF no choice but to do its best to retaliate in kind. I have to slap myself at least once a day to make sure I’m awake and not in a never ending nightmare.
We will be witnessing this fiasco unfolding for years to come and that’s if we’re lucky. If not, it’ll all be over in a flash.
It is starting to dawn on the Western elites what is happening,

So, the more they escalate the worse it gets. Glen Greenwald devoted about a third of his Friday 5/26/2023 show to this speech. FYI
I saw right through it. Idk where that footage is from, but this is too good to be true. And too clear perhaps, I might add. Under the circumstances, of course.
Which event would be suitable to cut the permanent lines of brainwashing and fogging in the heads of western madmen, so that these and the lemmings following them finally wake up from their madness? When can the tipping point come where they’re naked, exposed and ridiculous for everyone to see? Is there a morphological field that can do this? Without the western world going into the abyss economically and humanely?
“Normally a person or institution regularly exposed as a prevaricator would be denounced and ignored. But not Ukraine” And neither the WHO, the CDC, The White House spokestards, Fauci, Trump, Phizer, Murderna, J&J, and the WEF. And many more.
Trump lies far less than Biden, Schumer, McConnell, Pelosi, Schiff, Ryan, Wray, Comey, et al. And yet you include him in your list and not them. You apparently choose to believe the lies about him by the paid liars in the media and the deep state.
You appear to be very selective about your liars.
I fear the West can only learn the hard way. They have become too used to the ways of Empire, having complete say and entirely their way for the past 200 years.
Russia understands this also. The best outcome is that the collapse comes from within with enough steady external pressure. Russia needs to keep the conflict going as long as the US and NATO continue to double down on stupid.
I came across this official briefing from Maria Zakharova, on the active black market organ harvesting trade on the Ukrainian front – the fate of the new conscripts and those injured on the battle field.
https://mid.ru/en/foreign_policy/news/1872168/
The article “Bloody Squad of Elisabeth Debru” was published in the March edition of the Serbian weekly Pečat. This is the name of a doctor from the Netherlands who arrived in the vicinity of Artyomovsk shortly before that. Previously, operations to remove organs of Ukrainian servicemen who died or were seriously wounded in Donbass were mentioned in a testimony by a former member of the Ukrainian security service…
This is not the first time illegal transplantology in this region came into focus of journalists’ investigations…
We are all perfectly aware of the fact that this harrowing bloody “business” wouldn’t exist without patrons at the highest state level. This is no coincidence. The problem of human trafficking in Ukraine has existed for a long time now and has repeatedly come to the attention not only of our country, which has brought everyone’s attention to it, but, most importantly, international organisations, in particular, the UN bodies which deal with human rights…
The illegal transplantologists’ activities in the warfare area have become a separate issue now. Even the first head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, noted that he saw corpses with open stomachs and chests and had information about illegal seizures by Ukrainian nationalists of anatomical materials of prisoners, local residents and wounded soldiers from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, these chilling finds are not uncommon…
Against this background, the real reasons behind the Ukrainian side using field crematoria remain unknown to the general public.

The fact that the US and its puppets have lost all credibility is very well known to people who are informed and mostly those outside the western matrix. Thanks to the Neocons, the west is today one giant bubble of financial corruption which hopefully will soon disintegrate. It’s expected that Russia-China + allies will further push dedollarization process. Last week, Iran-Indonesia reached a deal using their own currencies. Those that stay in the dollar zone would suffer tremendously since they are the ones paying the US’ debts at the end of the day.
Dear Sir, thanks again for your words, as the Ecclesiastes 9/17 say
“…quiet words of wisdom are more powerful than weapons of war…”
Unfortunately the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine already exceeded the military capabilities of Ukraine.
Now the inevitable war confrontation will be between Russia and NATO.
A tactical exchange of nuclear warheads between the two will lead to a sort of mutual partial destruction but also a total obliteration of some cities in northern and central Europe.
For the health of the human race and the survival of the planet, we pray God
that the USA should not participate in a nuclear cataclysm !
A tactical exchange of nuclear warheads between the two
Sorry, you seem deluded…………
Russia has stated that Europe is irrelevant……….the Puppetmaster is USA
Therefore any tactical exchange of nuclear warheads as such will involve Continental US targets NOT European
Russia is the MOST powerful military force on the European Continent bar none
I absolutely agree with your comment, why would Russia crush the Tail of the NATO Snake in Europe when you would go to the source of all this chaos, the Head of the poisonous snake which is America & cut off its head? The US arrogantly thinks that after all this is over, it can just slink back & retreat to its splendid isolation, protected by the Pacific Ocean on one side & the Atlantic on the other but this wouldn’t matter a damn if this goes Nuclear, which I believe will happen unless the dangerous Neocons in the US are removed from power, from both Parties? It’s just one provocation after another & surely Russia must be nearing the end of its tether & patience with the evil US Empire! Enough is enough!
You are delusional if you imagine Europe will avoid nuclear strikes in a nuclear exchange.
Brussels and London at minimum.
Likely also Rammstein and some Polish locations with NATO troop accumulations.
None of those targets require nuclear attack……….conventional weapons work just as well…….
Ramstein is only important as a drone command centre as is the one in Sicily……..
London – all you need is to knock out power supply and telco/Internet links and probably satellites used by Goldman Sachs and other banks
“….For the health of the human race and the survival of the planet, we pray God
that the USA should not participate in a nuclear cataclysm !….”
I don’t think that this time round you will be as lucky as in WW2.
If nukes fly towards Russia from any NATO country they will fly towards the mainland USA in return. That is a given – Russia knows who is running the show.
The USA is no longer exceptional – by it’s own doing.
Of course, correct that this is widely believed: “Most assume that if Russia can bomb Ukrainian cities then fair play dictates that Ukraine should be able to do the same.”
but what’s good for the goose also would be good for the gander. Will US cities be bombed (the wealthy neighborhoods – the poor neighborhoods already appear well bombed out) before the NATO-Russian war is over?
Although I have lived in the US for 46 of my 69 years on earth, I never, ever realized until recently, the effectiveness of the press’s suppression of facts from the American people. They know full well that they can count on a community of hundreds of millions of “headline readers” and utterly clueless simpletons.
I thought most modern Americans were smart enough to double check info they get on issues of importance to the nation, in view of the tidal wave of fake news we are innundated by, daily. I also never realized how, in spite of this practice going back over a century and a half, people still don’t seem aware of it and continue to “scarf” down everything they see and read in the news media.
It is almost the same behavior Americans display, when it comes to religion, i.e., they go to church, sing hymns, pray, listen to a sermon and go home, their religious duty fulfilled, hip, hip, hurray…, so too, they tune into their favorite channel, watch the news… never mind if what they heard jives with reality and truthfulness or not!
Since that was never lost in the enemies’ perception of Americans’ utter, abject gullibility, they upped the ante and “normalized” criminality, like the practice of stealing elections, calling the God-fearing and the law-abiding, family-oriented “domestic terrorists”, making DJT into “enemy numero uno” and the nation cheered and clapped.
I am sure, for example, that after the Arizona judge in Kary Lakes’ lawsuit tossed it out, even after an appeals court remanded that the issue of 250,000 ballots, whose voter’s signatures did not match (she lost by 17,000 votes or .67%), be examined… and that sounded just fine by the people, because the overwhelming majority never bothered to look a single “millimeter” beyond what they heard on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC…
What can be said, in the face of Americans having allowed their nation to reach the status of “triple banana republic”, thanks to their utter laziness and idiocy?
My experience was yours but in reverse. Almost 60 years ago, I lived in Spain for a long time. As I read Spanish newspapers (under Franco, mind you!), I came to understand that the great unwashed American public was totally bamboozled about Washington’s war on Vietnam. That was my first lesson concerning the abysmal ignorance of my countrymen about matters outside their borders (and almost as often, I learned later on, about matters inside those same borders). Since then, things have only gotten worse and the chuckleheads who rule us even more brazen in their mendacity, Clinton (BJ Billy), Bush ( the cretin from Crawford), Obama (the fake law prof at Harvard), Trump (he of the burgeoning mRNA jab disaster), and now the demented Delaware grifter who presides over a sexual freak show on Pennsylvania Avenue. And we wonder why the world looks askance as we proclaim this pathetic circus to be the greatest country on Earth?!?!
OT: or is it?
Simplicius has a great update on the culture war:

Victoria Spartz is Ukrainian as many others in the US government are
Many have roots in old Khazaria like the other Victoria 🤔
So be sure Atacms will be delivered soon to Ukraine because their grand dream is the destruction of Russia
There is no more a serious possibility of deescalation
If Atacms won’t do the job they will send more of the goodies
Eventually Russia has to either escalate and hit Nato hard or give up…
Le later I don’t think will happen
So we all know how this will end.
The only way this insanity could be stopped at this point is a military coup in the US and in Germany.
I doubt this will happen
Both the US and the German military are part of this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMvziOb4lJc
Listen carefully: Generalleutnant der Luftwaffe Ingo Gerhartz suggested the Air Defender in 2018 (!) …
A military coup? Miserere nobis …
Benjamin Fulford today said that the billionaire leader of Wagner is in cahoots with Zelinski.
True, who can say for sure other than the bad actors? We have these legislators calling for sending more weapons. Seems to me we need to clean our own house one way or the other and soon. If we sit and do nothing aren’t we in essence giving the approval of the American people? Yes, I do realize that we have lefties and then the folks in zombie land. We also have 180 million Americans that know pretty much the truth. Sure hope our white hats are actually on this or this could turn into real shit soup fast.
Why would you start your comment with such a garbage statement from a Canadian university puppet?
Was this not also an attack on core Turkish infrastructure? Coupled with another attack on the Lira to coincide with the election process?
Assuming Erdogan wins, I can see some kind of retaliation coming from Ankara soon.
I think more and more that the war in Ukraine has another purpose, besides the destruction of Russia. It is a kind of sociological experiment, which aims to establish where is the limit of lies and craziness that the MSM can insert into the brain of an ordinary person, without the person suspecting that they are lying to him.
Among all that idiocy, my personal favorite is the old Ukrainian woman who shot down a Russian drone from her window with a jar of tomatoes. The story appeared at the beginning of the war at a time when the Ukrainians were suffering defeat after defeat, so I had a little empathy for them trying to raise the morale of the population and the defeated army.
Then, in his New Year’s message, Volodymyr Zelensky called on Ukrainians to be inspired by the Ukrainian woman who shot down a Russian drone with a jar of tomatoes.
However, the highlight is the performance of his wife, Miss Vogue, Olena Zelensky, on MSNBC. You have to watch this short video, the reaction of Hillary Clinton and the TV host is hilarious.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pPc5tGH7u8&t=47s
Journalist Graham Phillips posted a 5 minute video showing proof that Bakhmut has been captured and YouTube gave him a strike and banned the video. He then posted it on rumble and I can’t see any reason why it should be deleted. See for your self: https://rumble.com/v2pj806-artemovsk-a-champagne-victory-video-removed-by-youtube.html
Now Ukraine claims that they still hold Bakhmut and only conclusion one can come to is that he is going against that Ukrainian narrative.
His Telegram story on the matter: https://t.me/grahamwphillips/880
Graham is an emblematic hate figure in the UK. He has an unforgivable habit of telling the truth and it doesn’t go down well with the clapping seal fraternity.
“That means an inevitable clash with NATO. I believe that the United States should be doing everything in its power to avoid that. But it is doing the exact opposite and the potential for something terrible looms larger with each passing day.”
Which to my mind is precisely what the US is playing for – a new European war that will harm both Russia and Europe, leaving the US as the dominant player with only China to deal with in its hegemonic plans to rule the world. The only way i see out of this continuing escalation on the part of the USA is to execute a serious strike on US assets – like a carrier group, or a US military base – in a show of strength that will hopefully bring some sense to the US leadership – like slapping a hysterical person. Many would of course claim that the US might well retaliate with nukes, but I doubt that – the political pressure not to do so would be too great.
ATACAMS is almost useless – huge missile flying at ballistic projectory is something that nearly cannot be missed. Only choice this kind of weapon has of inflicting serious damage if it is a part of massive saturation strikes which is unlikely for UKR to ever provide in sufficient volumes, and even then, those bigger high flying missiles would probably be the priority targets, so this makes it only big and expensive target.
F16-s generally have more sense than that, and they are almost useless as well, because they can fly very low (thus hide from detection) and raise up in order to shoot long range missiles at RU aircraft, which will result in F16’s destruction, but will at least have some chance to hit something important, even if that would mean suicide mission… ATACAMS on the other hand would only telegraph location of their launchers with very little chance to actually hit anything…
“Let’s give the Ukrainian Government of Volodomyr Zelensky credit for one thing — they are world class liars.”
No try to remember the observation of Mr. Chomsky –
My country doesn’t tell lies, because to tell lies you need to know the truth.
The “Ukrainian” Government of Volodomyr Zelensky are inept in so far as they exist, but not quite as inept as “The United States of America” with whom they co-inhabit linear paradigms which are not resorted to throughout the world thereby rendering comparatives ultra vires and iterations of it-was-not-me-it-was-my-sister necessary.
“I am sad to report to those of you who live outside of the Untied [sic!] States that most Americans are clueless …”
Actually, Larry, we knew that already. 🙂 As for Untied States, a sequel to Django Unchained, perchance? 🙂 🙂
“… about the implications of the United States apparent strategy of escalation.”
Ok, facetiousness aside, I can report from the happy imperial satrapy wherein I live, folks round here are no different. Media-fuelled, government-sactioned, head-in-the-sand (or is it head-up-the-ass?) clueless, sky-falls, lemming groupthink – actually no-think. The only uncertainty is which is the bigger enemy, Russia or China? For reasons historical, cultural and bigoted, probably China.
Alas, JFK’s sage, sane advice is ignored:
“Nuclear powers must avert those confrontations which bring an adversary to a choice of either a humiliating retreat or a nuclear war. To adopt that kind of course in the nuclear age would be evidence only of the bankruptcy of our policy — or of a collective death-wish for the world.”
Ukrainian Nazis cannot attack/ start anything because they were defeated after a few days. Even their, US installed, president, a Jew, wears clothes with Nazi symbols

NATO will still launch many actions in U, but won’t have much time to regret it⬇️

For every action they will be punished accordingly/ severely, so, until their downfall, which Putin and Xi will bring about – this very year.
Medvedev: “This will not be forgiven to them”.
They all = Nazi-Bastards will be destroyed
I used to think that the American establishment and it’s various mouthpieces were playing a very sophisticated and complex psyops on the world population by saying something but meaning the absolute opposite,of a superior level of disinformation designed to make everyone look in the opposite direction of where the actual action was happening – But sadly it’s become really clear that they really do believe what they are saying which means there’s no chance to either do a course correction or a hard stoppage before this train wreck of a nation completely derails and burn itself into the ground – Kind of feel sad for the ordinary people though
SO UKRAINE LIED that they sank the ship… what a surprise. NEVER believe a word that comes out Ukraine govt. Russian MOD is more trustworthy, than any US + UK NEWS outlets too.
If deception and deceit were bullets and bombs, Mrs. Elenskyy’s kid would be presiding over the Kremlin now and Chubby Nuland would have Marya Zakharova’s position in Moscow.
Where were the drones launched from?
The Russians will know from satellite coverage.
Odessa is a long way from the position where the attack occurred which leaves Romania and Bulgaria; both NATO members.
Is NATO now an official belligerent?
Do Romania and Bulgaria want the “Ukraine treatment”, as administered by the Russian Military?
“Wo ist Wenk?”
Zaluzhny videos appear with a silent person who has managed to change the colour of his eyes from bright blue to brown. Why didn’t the producers of this fake notice this?
What the official Ukraine, USA, EU, NATO & Co. claim is not worth reading.
Those who have not yet understood that cannot be helped.
Every so often, I pull up the BBC, CNN or whoever to glimpse the headlines of the day. Just the headlines, mind you. They tell all.
Today’s featured trope at the BBC is that ‘Ukraine is pumped for its offensive and raring to go. The time is ripe, an opportunity not to be missed!’.
Well?
https://taskandpurpose.com/news/navy-rust-ships-constant-deployments/
Note how the Russian ship looks. No rust. A Burke destroyer came into port the other day, and it was bright orange from rust. You know why? The transgender cupcakes of the US Navy no longer scrape and paint. That is done by a “contractor”. Who has a fix in with the Pentagon. And his Congressional handler.
Just another sign of how the corrupt Pentagon money machine works. The other day the Pentagon admitted it cannot find 85 Million of F35 parts. And admits the number is probably higher. But since the Pentagon is not audited, who knows.
We will lose the next big war. And actually. the Pentagon knows that. That is Ukraine. Find a cocaine cowboy proxy and use him to fight your war. Because you can’t. My question is, how long till you run out of fools. I know if I lived in Taiwan, and was looking at pictures of Ukraine? I know who I would be voting for in the next election.
Putin has promised that in the event of a NATO attack on Russia, Russia will attack “the decision making centers,” meaning Washington, London, Paris, Berlin… And the intermediate range nuclear tipped missiles being sent to Belarus are not aimed at Ukraine, Russia want a radionuclide free Ukraine. They are aimed at Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Germany…
The cherry on the sundae this morning is the statement by the head of Ukraine’s spy agency that the assassination of Putin is a high priority task.
Vega bookies should be taking bets on the likelihood of a nuclear exchange this summer or fall. The odds must be in favor.
Why did your post provoke an image in my mind of BoJo on that high wire waving the union jack pic but with his lahegs cradling a flying nuke with a half size Zelensky sitting on his back monkey style and waving his yellow and blue, or maybe twirling a lasso to snare Putin, both headed on their merry way to Moscow?
Man, there are times I really, really wish I were a political cartoonist.
So, the HIMARS was the game-changer, then the PATRIOT. Russia seems to be able swat then pretty easily. No we have another game-changer? Another 30 year system that costs a million dollars a shot?
This is getting ridiculous.
They all changed the game, but not in the intended way.
I remember Ghost of Kiev “shooting” down 40 planes, not six. That’s what made it funny. Current Wikipedia claim of six is yet another lie, and can be easily verified by following links to articles by Forbes, BBC, AP, The Washington Post. Those links are provided as cited sources at the very beginning of the same Wikipedia page claiming it is six. George Orwell could not make this up.
In order to put those numbers in context, I’ll add that getting a title of a fighter ace requires shooting down five or more enemy aircraft during aerial combat. It’s extremely hard thing to achieve, but is doable by some, just like those challenges where people try to eat an enormous stake. Ghost of Kiev ate a whole cow, and people bought it.
I also remember the whole Hollywood-script-presented-as-news starting on day one. Brave Snake Island defenders told Russian warships to go f*** themselves, and then all died trying to fight them off with machine guns and hand grenades. There was even an accompanying audio recording of the conversation. Everyone bought it, including myself, because last stand stuff happens occasionally, and because no one should be dumb enough to make this shit up. All of them were instantly awarded posthumous medals, and became legends overnight.
Shortly after that, Russians published videos of unharmed prisoners, and claimed that they all surrendered without any resistance. After some time they were released, and that’s when the punchline of this real-life joke comes. They still recieved those medals. Giving out awards for things that did not happen is not uncommon, but Zelensky is the only one that handed posthumous medals to living people.
This farce did not end there, because the whole Ukraine-supporting World still pretends that it was all real. They made a postage stamp depicting soldier giving middle finger to a ship, and gazillion memes celebrating moral victory that never happened. It’s collective insanity that make Flat Earth people look reasonable.
“… try to eat an enormous stake.”
I meant an enormous steak, not stake, though I would not be surprised if such thing existed in some bar in San Francisco. 😉
From that distasteful video from the other day about the new and improved army’s hazing protocol, wouldn’t be surprised if it existed at Fort Bragg either.
Scary times. American politicians are convinced the US can beat Russia without getting a scratch and consequently are happy to pose as war hawks and push for an ultimate confrontation. This stupid ignorant bravado is leading us into a nuclear catastrophe. And Americans totally clueless. Look at the polls, Americans are concerned about inflation, Joe biden’s cognitive capacity but nothing about the nuclear threat looming.
Inflation and Mr. Biden’s cognitive decline are things that Americans see and experience daily. Nuclear exchange is something all have been convinced is not possible in a sane world. People tend to worry about immediate and concrete threats more than long-term – ‘sometime in the future, maybe’ problems.
Also, Americans may think that they can have some influence on policies affecting inflation, or getting a candidate who is mentally competent, but feel that they have no control or input into slide towards nuclear war.
Like I wrote yesterday, our country is led by loons who are a disgrace to humanity. I don’t consider FJB as our legitimate POTUS but a puppet of the WEF/IMF. The entire FJB Administration, the Neocons and Neolibs in Congress and the Chairman of Joint Chiefs to be insane, delusional and suicidal Nazretards.
NATO is a Suicide Pill the World and must be crushed. I believe Turkey is wising up and leaving the Loser Alliance.
There’s also the possibility that the Russians – or, more precisely, Putin – may decide to do what they’ve refused to do from the start: wage a war of invasion using the American method. That is, target cities and bury them under bombs. Kiev and Lvov would make very acceptable targets. But Putin, whatever the American-Otanian propaganda may say, is not a bloodthirsty madman. In fact, he’s no Bush Jr, Obama or Biden. And that’s all well and good for the world, but there will come a time when the whistle will have to blow and Russia will finally start the war it’s been accused of waging.
“Normally a person or institution regularly exposed as a prevaricator would be denounced and ignored.”
This is the norm for every single apparatchik talking head and institution in the West. The lies are constant. They are said, exposed, forgotten, repeat.
“[Ghost of Kiev] Turns out that was footage lifted from a video game and most of the Western media”
This is a pet peeve of mine. People have no idea how easy it is to fake combat footage. We have been producing first person, combat video games for 30yrs and our graphics for some scenarios are really good. You can fake combat footage with very little effort. If the govt ever funded specialized programs to do this, it would be very hard to tell the difference.
In 1940, it would be very hard to fake such footage. It would require an entire set.
“I am sad to report to those of you who live outside of the Untied States that most Americans are clueless about the implications of the United States apparent strategy of escalation.”
I feel like one of the few Americans who are fortunate enough (or is it unfortunate?) to understand the implications. That is why I hope to get out of the US before it’s too late.
Sadly, at the rate the US, UK and Ukes are going, I’m not going to make it out in time.
“the potential for something terrible looms larger with each passing day.”
Most of us here agree with that. But from my point of view, the only way the American people (and the Europeans) will wake to reality is when that something terrible actually happens. I hate to say it, but citizens and military personnel from the belligerent NATO countries, and their supporters, are going to have to die in sizeable numbers before common sense prevails. It could be further argued that the collective West as become so degenerate, corrupt and mentally ill that a severe dose of real warfare is the only likely cure.
And after that Russia needs to destroy the “west’s” media machine to ensure that the victors write the history.
There needs to be no doubt anywhere on the planet as to who started this, when, and why.
The liars must not be given any platform anywhere to spin their culpability away.
And then a Nuremburg 2; or rather a Saint Petersburg 1.
The last time the British tested their nuclear deterrent, a missile headed for California and had to be destroyed. ( under PM.May)
Britain’s nuclear deterrent is like Schrödinger’s cat; no one is sure if it actually exists. (Superglue holds the subs together, not bolts).
Britain has been behaving like a drunken thug in a public house, trying to pick a fight with someone. They will get their wish and severely regret it.
Well, the royal navy’s dept. of quality assurances and pronoun implementation was assured that the superglued head was just a visual check. Both surfaces were adequately tapped and threaded and it was the bolt’s threads doing the whole job.
Gives a whole new meaning to ‘hanging on by a thread’, doesn’t it?
Let me just add that it’s not just most Americans who are clueless about the consequences of an escalation in this conflict. I live in Europe and can assure you that the brainwashing machine has been working overtime since before even this conflict started, poisoning people’s minds with Russophobia. So in that respect we are no better off than people in the US, only that you guys are an ocean away from the action while we are right next to it…
Do you think people realize this and care about the consequences on them, their lives? Well think again, this is not even on their horizon! We are enthusiastically throwing gas on an ignited fire, like there was no tomorrow, but of course we could never get burned, it’s simply unthinkable. That’s how well the western propaganda has been working.
I live in a continent of zombified morrons who are like lemmings, desperately running towards the cliff without a clue of what is awaiting them if they don’t stop running.
I don’t blame the Russians one bit. If I was in their shoes I would go for the jugular, this sick game has been going on for too long and they need to put an end to it, no matter the price. Or it will just get even worse next time… You can’t deal with delusional people, there’s no point in arguing, you just need to knock them out for good.
US and EU, the Beavis and Butthead of international relations, slapping each other on the back, head, knees, groin to final completion of their slapstick tragicomedy.
Somebody, please send these conductors back to the caboose in leg irons because that friggin’ train is operating on meth fumes and I can’t get off!
Because our positions on Ukraine are in opposition I am denied discussion with my partner . She is smart and ( for a Canadian ) well informed . I am at a loss to understand her stance . Other than bloody-mindedness ( a possibiity ) I think that lifelong immersion in the evil-commie Russians , now evolved into the evil Putin ( still a commie ) who wants to expand the Russian empire – which propaganda is all encompasing even beyond the cold war era , must have brain washed her .
As you observe arguing doesnt work but I can’t knock her out .
My hope is that Russia prevails and over time sober analysis creeps in . However , given the span for that to happen – for example acceptance of Vietnam as a typical piece of US warmongering has taken > 40 years – I may get timed out before she changes her position .
News about the Kalashnikov AK-12 assault rifle https://russian.rt.com/russia/article/1154105-ak-12-modernizaciya-svo
Ergonomics, reliability and convenience: the Kalashnikov concern has finalized the AK-12 assault rifle, taking into account the experience of the SVO
The improved AK-12 assault rifle has become more reliable, ergonomic and convenient, said the president of the Kalashnikov concern, Alan Lushnikov. According to him, the modernization was carried out taking into account the recommendations of the military based on the results of combat experience in the use of these weapons in the NVO zone. According to the chief designer of the concern Sergey Urzhumtsev, the trigger mechanism, the diopter sight were improved in the machine gun, the forearm and handguard were strengthened, one of the firing modes was removed. Now the machine is undergoing a test cycle, after which it will be transferred to the troops. According to experts, the Kalashnikov designers managed to improve the performance of the AK-12 compared to the model that was put into service in 2018.
The combined-arms assault rifle AK-12 of the 2023 model has become more reliable, ergonomic and convenient, Alan Lushnikov, president of the Kalashnikov concern, told reporters at the enterprise’s shooting center in the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center. According to him, the weapon was modified taking into account the experience gained in the NVO zone.
“Speaking specifically about the AK-12, there are a lot of changes, but I can say two things. The new ergonomic buttstock is different, there are design features that allow you to shoot in a more comfortable way. And the translator of fire – before he was in three positions: single shot, double shot and automatic fire. According to the wishes of the fighters and the customer (Ministry of Defense), we removed the cutoff for two shots – this turned out to be unclaimed, ”said Lushnikov.
He noted that the specialists of the Kalashnikov concern are closely cooperating with the military, adapting weapons to their recommendations. The president of the concern said that the AK-12 will continue to improve, and one of its modifications may become smaller.
“The AK-12 has proven itself, it is extremely in demand. Everything that we supply to the Ministry of Defense, as far as I know, almost immediately ends up in the theater of operations, and this speaks for itself. Of course, any product requires constant improvement and development, so we do not stop, we constantly interact with users, with the customer, we understand their needs: how to change the design, what consumer qualities should be, ergonomics. We are constantly working in this direction, ”Lushnikov added in an interview with RT.
Recall that the AK-12 was adopted into service in 2018. Its basic version is available in 5.45 mm. The concern also produces a modification for the 7.62 mm caliber – AK-15. The weapons are supplied to the Ground Forces, the Airborne Forces and the Marine Corps of the Russian Federation.
The assault rifle was developed on the basis of the AK-74M by a team led by Sergei Urzhumtsev, who holds the position of chief designer of the concern. AK-12 is 54% unified with its predecessor, from which it inherited high reliability, non-failure operation and relatively low production cost. At the same time, the AK-12 is more accurate, more ergonomic and “hardier” in non-stop shooting than the AK-74M.
The weight of the AK-12/AK-15 with an unloaded magazine is 3.7 kg, the barrel length is 415 mm, the magazine capacity is 30 rounds, and the rate of fire is 700 rounds per minute.
Among the advantages of the machine is the ability to install a whole range of additional devices: sights, night vision devices, flashlights, target designators, as well as the principle of a suspended barrel, which made it possible to increase the accuracy of fire.
Structural reinforcement
As Sergey Urzhumtsev said at a meeting with journalists at the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center, deliveries of AK-12s to the troops began in 2019. During the operation, the military had certain comments and recommendations, which, along with the experience of the combat use of these weapons during the SVO, formed the basis of constructive changes.
In the machine gun of the 2023 model, the trigger mechanism was redesigned, in particular, the two-shot cut-off mode was excluded – due to the fact that it complicated maintenance and operation.
“We are returning to the standard scheme, when the trigger mechanism has three positions: the safety position, single and automatic fire. In addition to this option, we are introducing a two-way safety mechanism control,” explained the chief designer.
According to him, special levers are installed on both sides of the AK-12, which can be controlled without taking your hand off the pistol grip.
“Moreover, an additional part is now appearing inside the receiver, which blocks the movable system of the machine gun when the weapon is on the fuse. This is done so that there is no possibility of a large movement of the bolt frame under certain shock loads – when firing from an underbarrel grenade launcher, with some kind of blows, ”Urzhumtsev added.
The designer explained that the new technical solution would allow less deformation of the safety and trigger mechanisms, which were less resistant to loads in previous AK models.
Also, as Urzhumtsev said, the AK-12 of the 2023 model is equipped with a new fixed muzzle flash hider instead of a removable muzzle brake-compensator. This approach facilitates the installation of devices for silent shooting.
Along with this, the machine received an improved diopter sight, in which a flip rear sight appeared with holes of different diameters (1.8 mm and 4.5 mm) for ease of aiming at various distances, under different weather conditions and illumination. As the designer explained, a rear sight with a diameter of 4.5 mm is needed for effective shooting at distances of 100-150 m, in conditions of pollution, dust, in rain or low light. When shooting at long distances, you can switch to a diameter of 1.8 mm in one movement.
Commenting on the changes in the buttstock, Urzhumtsev said that the AK-12 began to be equipped with a removable “tactical cheek”, which makes it easier to work with the machine gun when installing various optoelectronic devices.
Improvements also touched the forearm and handguard. According to the designer, the military noted the lack of strength and increased heat transfer of the plastic from which these elements were made.
“In this case, the structure is reinforced by thickening individual elements. The lining now has additional attachment points… The lining no longer plays. Relative to it, the handguard is attached with additional attachment points, ”said the chief designer of the Kalashnikov concern.
In addition, he spoke about simplifying the assembly and disassembly of the AK-12 model 2023, following the model of previous models.
Now the machine is undergoing a test cycle in order to confirm the feasibility of the changes made, said Urzhumtsev. Checking the updated weapons should be completed before mid-June. At the same time, in the near future, a batch of 100 units of modified AK-12s will be transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense for military operation.
“Reliability and convenience”
As experts interviewed by RT noted, the concern’s specialists did a great job of eliminating comments from the participants of the NWO and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. First of all, the performance of the AK-12 was improved.
“AK-12 has been tested in real combat conditions. It has always been normal practice to refine the adopted sample. In this case, we received an assault rifle of the 2023 model, in which technical solutions were implemented to improve the reliability and convenience of weapons. It can be seen that the concern’s specialists were attentive to the wishes of the military, ”said Alexander Butyrin, columnist for the Fire Frontier magazine.
In his opinion, the improved AK-12 has indeed become easier to operate, more ergonomic and even more convenient in terms of using additional devices – silencers, sights, target designators. The expert drew attention to the new diopter sight, which should improve the accuracy of shooting at short distances.
A similar point of view is shared by the founder of the MilitaryRussia portal Dmitry Kornev. In a conversation with RT, he drew attention to the fact that the creators of the AK-12 listened to complaints about the endurance of materials and individual components. For this reason, the forearm and handguard were reinforced. An important decision was the increase in the reliability of the firing mechanism.
“The announced design changes should not be taken critically. This is practically the same assault rifle that was put into service in 2018. Changes in terms of design can be called cosmetic, but this refinement is important for ease of use in real combat conditions, ”explained Kornev.
According to him, any combat experience always becomes an incentive to improve standard weapons and create new models. Kornev is sure that the AK-12 proved to be a worthy individual weapon in the SVO zone – mainly due to its good accuracy and adaptability to the installation of additional devices.
@Dr. George W Oprisko | May 27 2023 10:54 utc | 222
Yes, true, but it isn’t clear to me why the assembled troop strength was so low prior to the start of the SMO – unless they were hoping for some defections in the UAF – and why they didn’t reinforce the areas captured east and south of Kharkov and north of the Dnipr in Kherson when it was clear that insufficient forces to do this were deployed.
It is quite likely the decision to intervene was precipitated by events. I clearly remember the Russian Security Council meeting where Putin “demanded” a yay or nay from every participant. The vote was unanimous.. “we go”…
As for the size of the force deployed…. The Russians have a country to run…. a civilization to protect… To them the Ukrainian front was but one of many, with a population yet to come fully on board…. They went with what they had…. Only later…. after popular support came to be… did they mobilize 300,000 plus 100,000 volunteers… That mobilization had teething problems which took months to work out…
It must also be remembered that Russia thought they were engaging Ukraine…. only to discover they were in an existential conflict with NATO… That the Russian government was unsure Russia’s economy could with stand the strains imposed by NATO…. that the Russians were unsure of support from other countries, which eventuated from China, Iran, Venezuela, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, India, Myammar, Laos, Cambodia, Egypt, Sudan, and others…
It is important to remember that this is a war…. shit happens in wars… nothing is straight line…

“It must also be remembered that Russia thought they were engaging Ukraine…. only to discover they were in an existential conflict with NATO”
This has been said any times. I’m not so sure about that as it’s hard to believe Russia didn’t have the intel of the who, what, and why. We all knew it was a US/UK/NATO project so why wouldn’t have Russia known exactly what was happening on their doorstep?
I think that sentence is more about the degree of involment of NATO, which was lower at that point. Initial “cavalry charge” worked because of that.
We all knew it was a US/UK/NATO project, but we did not know if they will go “all in” with heavy weaponry, C4ISR, “volunteers”, and whatnot. They traditionaly do Stingers/ATGMs/training stuff with terrorists/proxies, and did it here on a higer level. I don’t think that even NATO planned to ramp up to HIMARS, Patriot, tanks, planes. Russians may or may not have expected it, but they sure did have some contingency plans for it. The ability to destroy/humiliate Patriot system was many years in the making.
Ukraine Watch Telegram Channel sums up UkroNazi losses from the Battle of Artyomovsk…..
https://t.me/ukraine_watch/3316
“What needs to be understood about AFU casualty figures in Artyomovsk.
1. The AFU suffered monstrous losses at Artyomovsk. The 72,000 Ukrainian (and not only) military personnel dead includes not only enlisted personnel, but all – tankers, artillerymen, reconnaissance personnel, signalers and all those who fought in this area and were liquidated. It is not yet clear how many of them are mercenaries, even approximately.
2. For the 72 thousand killed there are about 200 thousand wounded of varying degrees (with a ratio of one to three). Most of the wounded will never return to action, and therefore will not be able to increase the combat effectiveness of the AFU.
3. Ukraine’s entire pre-war army numbered about 230,000 men, and Artyomovsk destroyed its asset, its best personnel, which cannot be replenished in the foreseeable future.
4. Together with these cadres, the reserves that the AFU was preparing for an attack in the Donetsk direction were burned. Without a grouping of 200,000 men, no large-scale offensive is possible.
5. Now another problem has arisen: a shortage of junior and mid-level commanders, without whom combat management, even under current conditions, will be seriously hampered.”
This does not include losses incurred during the battle(s) of Mariupol, Luhansk, and elsewhere…”
Truly a catastrophe!

Regarding the recent TV program which showcased a fit and healthy Zalushny…
The Russians noticed the recent video is of a Zalushny with brown eyes….
While in the past he had blue eyes….
The Ukies are doing their best to hide his demise…
Won’t work…. he was the brains behind the brawn… his loss and losses of his subordinates including Syrski.. make coordination of complex operations impossible… Not to mention the morale issue…
INDY
Latest from the ukrobots is that Zaluzhny’s been in Europe the past few weeks overseeing training of his counter-offensive troops.
If he’s been dead or wounded, he’ll magically show up as such from the grand offensive if it bombs. If he’s not we’ll surely see him one way or another in one form or another, or maybe not.
Anyway, there are a dozen stories on either side to pick from and more in the wings. Pick your poison.
Something that terrifies me, is the new toy that the US military has: Mini nukes, smaller than traditional tactical nukes. I assume the thinking is ‘we just drop one of these on our ‘enemy du jour’, they’ll shake their heads & say “oh, the Americans are serious, we’ll fold our tents & go home”! Putin has said exactly what happens next! Remember, if we kill everybody four times over, nobody has to clean up!
Russia’s had mini nukes for decades. So, on and on we go. Where the damn thing stops, nobody’ll know.
It’s not a new toy. W54 warhead, and Davy Crockett delivery system (which everyone should google and imagine firing one), have been developed in late 1950s. Its lowest possible yield is comparable to biggest non-nuclear bombs, MOAB and FOAB. USA actually dropped MOAB in Afghanistan, but I don’t think they did it because they expected the enemy to fold their tents and go home. I belive they did it just because they can. They knew they will face no repercussions whatsoever. I also think that same logic was used when nuking Japanese. I doubt that those in Pentagon believe that they can small-nuke Russians and get away with it. Nuland probably does, but she does not have access to nukes, yet.
There is no upper limit to the magnitude and frequency of the media lies. I signed onto msn.com a couple of days ago, and was presented with a whole-screen page of boxes, each containing a “news” story headline and link, almost all of them devoted to the glorious victories of the Ukrainian forces, shoot-downs of Russian hypersonic missiles, the attack on the Russian ship in the Bosporus, various Russian atrocities, the utter defenselessness of Russia now that Ukraine or “Russian partisans” have penetrated its borders, Bakhmut hasn’t really fallen, and so ad nauseum. Any trusting soul viewing that web page could only conclude that Russia is falling apart and the Ukies are winning in every possible way, on every front — unless one considers that the actual job of the MSM is purely to serve as a propaganda outlet for the Oligarchy and that anything factual that undermines the Approved Narrative must and will be concealed at all costs.
Not to suggest you’ve lost your mind by signing on to msn.com is a clear sign of having lost your mind.
That’s not the worst part. Think about things that you and them agree about. Some of them are blatant lies too, but you don’t know which ones.
Western escalation will continue until there is a price (beyond dollars) to pay. Both sides calculate. For Russia, making the west pay a price entails 2 calculations: 1) Russia has to calculate if it really can defeat Nato in a fight limited to conventional weapons, 2) what will the diplomatic costs be for Russia’s, thus far successful, diplomatic efforts in the global south.
None of us really knows where Russia is in those calculations. But surely, as they see the trajectory of US actions and words, they must be sharpening their pencils.
I don’t really know what conditions are like in Russia and in Russian industry and how much more or less military potential Russian industry and people have. But I can imagine a point where Russia carefully prepares and ambush to exact a cost – probably from a Poland or Denmark like US vassal. Nicely calibrated to bump the line and see what happens
This is why I never believe Ukrainian claims. They proactively create fiction. The Russians do not create fiction. They leave out information, but that is to be expected. Watched the Russian updates on war and get bored with litany of unemotional reporting of destroyed tanks, etc–all of which can be confirmed. Anybody remember when Russian made claims about biolabs? Sounded far fetched until Frau Nuland unwittingly confirmed it.

Why all the great surprise at more Military Grade Propaganda? Yes, it’s vile, bad bad bad, obscene etc.
Covid Operations is a military and pentagon and NSA operation, and crime still in progress, as is this, and its next phase, come and see. . . .
Thank you Larry for cutting through as best you can the dirt and swill and filth our government and their media apostles constantly print, post online, and pollute all the airwaves with.
We should all be seriously, very seriously contemplating what we’ll do when the Internet is cut off, for maybe an hour a day or more. . . ditto TV and all radio communications. Cell phones inoperative and the like. This is where we’re heading, for better or worse.
Our beasts calling themselves political “leaders” want RF to attack something so these gangsters can declare state of extreme emergency, and try and scare the s h * t out of us. . . . and declare and TRY to enforce overt martial law. . . . So when the lights go out and Internet goes down, and. . . watch carefully. . . .Pay attention.
And/or, these beasts may more likely turn the stuff off and blame RF. . . . reflect on all of the above, something to think about. . . . Our political “leaders” are maniacs and criminally insane, and not just the NSA. . . .
” Our political “leaders” are maniacs and criminally insane”
One of the reasons Hitler and German military was so widely vilified was to deflect criticism of other ‘scum at the top’; the worse they made him look, the better they look.
Elensky is an actor, so what do you expect except lies?
Wikipedia finally admitted “Bakhmut” was fully captured by Russia but still claims the battle is “ongoing”.
(They now moved the goalposts so that the “battle of Bakhmut” includes the fighting to the west of Artëmovsk, just to avoid having to call it a Russian victory.)
Wikipedia has a list of approved sources, and banned ones. “They” are just copy-pasting BBC/CNN/NYT, and preventing anyone from writing anything that goes against.

Belarus gets nukes

“The Washington Establishment is still willing to bet the lives of Ukrainians…”
They are betting the lives of Americans and Europeans that at some point, the big bad bear wont strike back. When faced with a strong opponent, one must start with a king hit and retain the initiative until they cease to be a threat. You don’t give the other guy a chance to hit back.
The Western think tank war gamers model confrontations that start with conventional conflict that escalates through tactical nukes to all out strikes. This is the thinking of “rational” people who’ve never been in a street fight. From a fighters perspective, this kind of thinking is flawed.
If the decision is made to have a go, the only sensible strategy is to strike first at a time the opponent will be caught unaware and slow to react, say the very early hours of a Sunday morning, when the folks are sleeping off their Saturday night fun.
Such a strike would need to destroy the opponent’s strategic assets to reduce their retaliatory capability and probably also target a few key cities to create havoc on the home front and kill the decision-makers.
I think if the big bad bear decides to lash out, it will be all out, and we won’t see it coming. The Deagel forecasts look more and more probable as the military-technical solution in Ukraine progresses.

” You don’t give the other guy a chance to hit back.”
Change is a constant and hence certainty and/or perfection is unattainable.
Consequently “your” observation is self-defeating, but popular if the purpose is to attain status quo within acceptable tolerances by “stopping time” – the hope of Mr. Fukuyama and associates.
“I think”.
No – you believe as do ” The Deagel forecasts”.
What’s different between Ukraine und any of the terrorist groups that killed people in the US and Europe following our wars in the middle East?
Of terrorist attacks on “the aggressors territory” are justified, then surely people whose territory has been attacked by the US and/or NATO would be justified to take violence to the US and Europe? Whereas we’d have no right to “retaliate” against those attacks? We’d have no justification for the “War on terror”?
And of the war on terror, on those allegedly supporting the terrorists, was justified – wouldn’t that mean the Russia was perfectly within it’s rights to wage war against those supporting Ukraine?
1- US weapons are used tô kill Rússia. Population inside Ukraine since before Feb 24th 2022 and we do not see ANY Russian retaliation. That tells a lot about the fallacy of an “inevitable direct confrontation” with NATO (US).
2- Russian Military planners are extremely pragmatic and know how to turn things over when it fits their goals. They are the ultimate masters of Strategic Defense.
So you can bet that ANY escalation on the form of enhanced aerial warfare or ground troops deployment by the Russians can and will be used by NATO to justify even more money to laundry as weapons contractors that donate for republican and democrat parties congressman, senators, representatives alike.
3- Submarine warfare are the most active part of both parts on this global conflict and Russians are positioning their nuclear armed Submarine fleet to eventually checkmate every major command center on western world in the case of a major conflagration by their enemies.
“That tells a lot about the fallacy of an “inevitable direct confrontation” with NATO (US).”
Perhaps that tells a lot about your failure to understand that certainty is the greatest weakness, your scopes of analytical ineptitudes, your ignorance of what constitutes “inevitable direct confrontation”, your assumptions that others assign the significance to “The United States of America/NATO” that they seek to assign to themselves which you seek to emulate by default and/or design, and possible lateral interactions facilitated thereby/therefrom?
I wonder what would be an equivalent of “Azov” and “Tornado” there a toss the ocean? Salvatrucho? MS-13?
I think there are a lot of desperate guys, outnumbered and outgunned, leveling field for whom is a moral obligation for all the civilized nations…
