Russia and Ukraine have been slugging it out in Bakhmut, a strategic location vital to Ukraine’s ability to remain in the western part of the Donetsk Republic, and it is evoking alarm among Ukraine’s western allies as Russia grinds on with devastating effect.
A Dallas Morning news opinion piece by Hollie McKay, who clearly sides with Ukraine, admitted some uncomfortable truths:
A victory for the Russians, even one that resembles the apocalypse, is a very real and very jarring possibility. For the Kremlin, securing Bakhmut — one of the few places it is not in retreat — represents the frenzied feat needed to change the narrative of their losing “special military operation.”. . .
I watch helplessly as missiles whirl above and slam into civilian infrastructure. Certainly, Moscow’s targeting of non-combatant dwellings has been well-documented throughout the war. However, what I also observe is that Ukraine’s military often sets up posts directly outside humanitarian headquarters, hospitals and homes. It is for self-protection or because there are no longer conventional sandbagged frontlines and delineations between the armed and the unarmed. Nevertheless, it makes the scenario uncomfortable and makes every inch a pronounced target.

Holly indulges the fantasy that Russia is mostly retreating. That is a lie. Russia is moving on a broad front in Donetsk and the Ukrainians are paying a terrible price. Not my opinion. It is the judgment of a neo-Nazi Ukrainian commander:
The commander of the neo-Nazi Svoboda battalion, Petro Kuzik, whose unit is trying to hold Bakhmut, told Western media that the fields and forests around are littered with the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers, and they have to defend themselves in extreme cold and knee-deep in water.
“They [the Russians] sensed a weakness in our defenses because there are units that are less motivated than ours. And yesterday they slightly weakened our defenses in the area immediately around Bakhmut. Some units could not withstand this artillery onslaught and retreated.”
Asked how serious the loss of life is, he said: “They are colossal. We don’t even count the bodies.”

Pictures and videos are worth a thousand words. The following will give you an appreciation of the horror unfolding in Bakhmut.
Pay close attention to the 36 second mark in the following video. You will see a massive fireball in the upper right hand corner of the image.
The troubles for the Ukrainian troops are not confined to the basements, schools and hospitals occupied by Ukrainian troops. Russian MRLS rockets are wreaking havoc as well in the trenches:
And then there are the Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, probably US supplied Javelins, being used against Ukrainian troops hunkered down in a forest:
I recently took a Trauma Combat Casualty Care course offered by a retired Delta Force operator. Terrific training by Bob Keller. U.S. military forces learned a lot about how to treat combat casualties with massive hemorrhages. Notice the photo below. The Ukrainian casualty is wrapped in a space blanket. That’s good, right? Nope. Before taking this training I assumed that the appropriate way to warm a casualty was to use a space blanket. If a wounded soldier has some major bleeders the first step is to apply a tourniquet. One consequence of a large bleed is hypothermia. Wrapping someone in a space blanket, so I discovered in the class, is like wrapping an ice cube with aluminum foil. It appears that critical piece of treatment protocol has not been taught to the Ukrainians. I wonder if the Russians make the same mistake?

There is no denying the bravery of the Ukrainian soldiers. But Ukraine cannot sustain losses like this for much longer. They are outnumbered by Russia and, even with Western volunteers being used as replacements, the Ukrainian losses are mounting.
Sounds to me like Holly is admitting that Ukrainian forces are in violations of the Geneva convention rules.
I’ll hope this tragedy ends soon.
It’s not reaaly the first time… There was a report a couple of months ago, by the Red Cross I think or Amnesty International, that stated the same thing. Ukrainian government went mad…
Still, back in March or April, there was a NYT article where one of the Red Cross member stated the exact same thing… Will try a post the link if I can find it again.
“There was a report a couple of months ago, by the Red Cross I think or Amnesty International, ”
It was Amnesty and UA got hysterical, Amnesty apologised BUT DID NOT DENY their report.
The report:

Ukrainian government went mad…
They went mad years ago.
Yes, Holly is admitting that the Ukranazis are using civilian homes and humanitarian centres as human shields.
We’ve been hearing about Bakhmut for so long that I’m pretty sure it has been empty or near empty of civilians for some time. Much like a lot of the other towns Russia has crushed. Like Kherson city now.
The Ukrainian forces’ war crimes and crimes against humanity are flagrant. Westerners know what is happening or has happened since 2014 but don’t care.
Neither the Nazis nor many Westerners regard “the Enemy” as human– so it doesn’t matter. In the end, it is a kind of mass psychopathy.
“Well-meaning, decent people will condemn the behavior of a Ted Bundy, while they’re walking past a magazine rack full of the very kinds of things that send young kids down the road to be Ted Bundys.” That’s what Ted Bundy said.
Monsters are banal. Heidegger called it “forgetfulness of being”. But some of us remember.
Let us hope that Volo Zelensky will someday be tried as Eichmann was.

Regarding war crimes trials – NATO general officers will be likely tried for command responsibility of units under their direction or having trained.
The case of General Yamashita is the best known example.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomoyuki_Yamashita
Also note – NATO civilian leaders are also likely to be tried for war crimes – the case of Hirota is the precedence
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kōki_Hirota
WWII war crime trials were corrupt A F. Torturing confessions followed by hanging is not justice.
War crimes like the Dresden firestorms that immolated children and civilians in a city with no military value was never mentioned as a war crime.
As many as 9 million German civilians died as a result of mass expulsions, mass rapes and then there were the Rhine Meadows camps where POWs were ringed in barb wire, no cover, no food, no water and thousands died in the open air after 5-6 months of exposure.
War is hell, but the Neo-Zion Cons seem determined to add Ukraine to their unbroken list of sordid defeats and unaccountable corruption. Let’s hope they don’t start a nuclear war.

The intransigence and rank ignorance of millions of Americans is the reason Media & the DC Grifters get away with the Ukraine narrative.
Talk about weapons grade hypocrisy.
In 2020 we have Antifa and other leftist neo-Marxist morons burning down minority owned and other businesses, in the name of “fighting fascism”…
Two years later there is a massive swell of “RA RA UKRAINE” when Russia “invades” (…after ten years of telling U.S. and the E.U. not to create military alignments in the Russian border) after repeatedly warning Kyiv to deal with neo-nazi terror campaigns in the Donbas) and these very same people are supporting ACTUAL NAZIS!
I see arrogant stupidity in my own family who are so caught up watching sports that they think the Ukraine conflict began in 2022.
When you believe that NPR – PBS provide reliable news, you become stupid and believe in your own moral superiority.

Interesting quote from Ted Bundy. Many in the west like to pretend that no other society has gone down this path of widespread acceptance of amoral filth, yet this might be the first time it’s been packaged as the moral high ground referred to as “unity”. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so sinister.
The have always outnumbered the Russians, Wagner and militias by a factor of 3 to 1 since the start of this war. That may be changing now but even still, the Ukrainians out number the Russias. Russia has always had the advantages because they have escalation dominance.
This war started when the CIA overthrew the elected government
of Ukraine in 2014 and installed a coalition of 3 Neo-Nazi parties
to run the country.
The moment the Neo-Nazis grabbed power, they started genocide
against millions of ethnic Russia Ukrainianss.
Despite all the allegations of war crimes and targeting civilians, people seem incapable of asking themselves seemingly simple logical questions, such as:
[1] Russia fires 100 cruise missiles, 1 persons dies (probably from Air Defense debris).
–How many people could Russia kill with 100 of these 500kg warheads if they were targeting civilians?
[2] Russia fires 80 missiles, but only manages to hit transformers and grid switching gear?
–Why don’t they just put a bomb on the generators or down the cooling towers, not even once? The damage would be unrecoverable and permanent.
All true , there can be only 1 reason they have not destroyed the generators and boilers etc which could not be recovered from within 2 years at least if ever is the Russians fully intend to occupy the whole country , make it part of Russia , and then repair the damage including power plants which are essential . Remember Russian has massive heavy industry , which the west seems to have forgotten ! and is the only country in Europe who would have those very large Transformers in stock .
Yes.
Boilers and turbines take a lot longer to replace and either have to be demolished or rebuilt adjacent to the original.
Transformers are a lot easier to remove and can use the original foundations. Even though large high voltage, mega-volt-amp transformers take a fair while to build, six to nine months as they use special steel for the magnetic circuits and they don’t have fast assembly lines to build them like for small substation tranny’s. But if the Russians are disabling transformers using special munitions to short their lines out the transformers may not be damaged beyond repair such that repair can be affected on site.
The other issue is that destroying a power station can cause a lot of deaths as they have quite a few people operating them. Transformers don’t usually have people close to them as they are operated remotely, they are usually fenced to keep people out. But power station control rooms are manned 24/7 and are often within only tens of meters from a boiler or turbine or both.
Another issue is that disabling a power station without considerable destruction is not possible. So if you only want to disable the power for a relatively short time damaging a power stations boiler or turbines is a bad idea. You will likely end up with a massive fire from hot turbine oil which will ignite plastic covered cables and wiring and the large rubber conveyors in the case of coal fired stations.
A giant cluster fuck.
Months ago a western news crue in Ukraine, can’t remember where, were recording when a marked ambulance pulled up and disgorged soldiers in uniform that’s definitely a war crime, one of many.
One hopes the Russians will finish this part soon, to end the long drawn-out suffering, make it impossible for the Rear Echelon Motherf___ers who drive this idiocy to keep feeding the meat grinder. One has to also recognize that the N Az is will reconstitute elsewhere on the continent and likely rise up again to bring more of this. And Russia’s security people will have to be on their toes 24=7 for all the forlorn-hope terror attacks that will blossom in this rich soil.
What hope is there for people who just want to get along? Of course many of those ordinary people end up buying into the propaganda and political adventurism and opportunism and just can’t wait to start killing some other “enemy.” Or sending others off to do it. Or making a tidy profit “investing in” the war machinery.
It’s the US government and your tax dollars that made this madness possible. The war would have been finished long time ago. Victoria Nulland while in Kiev yesterday vowed to keep Ukrainian bleeding going until Russia is defeated! Just as forecast, to the last Ukrainian. Sickening. That’s the face of Evil if there ever was one.
How much of “the Ukrainians” are actually not Ukrainians?
All those from Galician.
First, it seems to me, you need to define what a ‘Ukrainian’ is.
if you dont know by now you will never never know.
I wonder how many NATO troops are fighting with Ukrainian patches.
I wish Pelosi, who “won’t accept anything but victory,” Lindsey Graham, who will “fight till the last Ukrainian” and any other sleaze who waltzed in and out of Kyiv to collect their tribute would be stuck in these trenches, filled with icy mud and had artillery shells flying over their heads before they open their mouths! For a war, one must vote with own flesh and blood or their family’s, or shut up!
Just their own flesh and blood. Most are psychopaths and wouldn’t bat an eye over anyone else’s suffering, even a family member’s.
Hmm. Sounds like Lindsey could take advantage of this suggestion of yours to indicate that perhaps those nasty rumors circulating in DC aren’t true after all. Together with Nancy, he could set up the Pelosi Patrol and advertise the unit as The Fiercest Freaks East of the Dnieper. Of course, Lindsey would have an ace up his sleeve as well: the mere sight of the battle-axe from San Francisco would be enough to deflate the cojones of even the most seasoned warriors. This might also detract from the reputation of The Wagner Group and give Zelenskyy a propaganda win when he most needs it.
They are paid shills for the war industry (and a bunch of others). Goes to show that there is no substantive difference between the two parties.
Best Congress money can buy…
Ownership of both parties and the media — a stranglehold over political access to elected office — how do we, the people, compete with that?
Can we call for a no confidence vote? What does our electoral consent mean, if we cannot say NO! to elite governance?
A big part of what drives all this, is the fact Ukraine became the largest “Laundromat” on earth for American politician cash gotten by grift or corruption.
BOTH Ds and Rs have a lot to hide in Ukraine.
Think about it… how does Zelensky have so much influence, that he get’s whatever he wants?
If there wasn’t so much “wag the dog” mileage out of Ukraine, to divert attention from the Covid Operation crimes against humanity, Zelensky would have already been whacked by The Company
Every time I see this kind of carnage I think about Biden sitting comfortably in his office while all these terrible things are taking place that were instigated mainly by him, and I wish evil things to happen to him. The only satisfaction I can see out of this is that all of Biden’s riches he earned doing evil deeds will do him no good once he is dead. And that couldn’t come soon enough for me. If the Bible is true, then Biden will end up just like the rich man who allowed Lazarus to suffer right outside his gate. Biden and Clinton and Bush and Obama are all cut from this same cloth.
Larry, the Russians won’t do house-to-house fighting the way we did in Iraq for 10 years, will they? Hope not, I see the results of that down at the VA here in Boston.
Also, per the vids you posted, it seems to me that the hits are so pinpoint, the kills pretty much are vaporized, as in unrecoverable. Leads me to believe the KIA for those gents is far higher than 100,000. These TOS-1, 1A rockets accomplish same, except over a far larger area than simple artillery. I can’t believe we’re going to continue to push this disaster. Victoria Nuland is the long-term driver in all this. She goes down as the worst we’ve seen since Madeline Albright (“500,000 dead Iraqi children was worth Clinton’s sanctions”).
I hope all this comes to pass pretty quickly. I want the full faith and credit to go to the Democrat House, Senate and White House before the Republicans are seated in January (although they own it too). Add another strategic failure to Biden’s gang’s tab.
When it comes to foreign policy, the Republicans are simply the other side of the same coin.
two cheeks of the same arse.
Yep
You’re absolutely right. I am no longer a member of the Republican Party because I’ve seen enough trash from them, like re-electing GrandGrandGrandpa Rich and many voting for Democrat bills that serve no purpose for the majority of Americans. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and the uniparty “ain’t” doing squat for the majority while pushing legislation after legislation for the very few.
In the west we fail to realize that the Central government in Kiev has been fighting an “insurgency” for many years and built massive defensive positions in the Donbas in the breakaway regions….these positions are not hastily built earthworks but reinforced positions in depth. Case in point was Mariupol where about 3500 survivors surrendered from an original force ten times that….it was centered on a multi leveled nuclear bunker complex tied in with several layers of defensive positions.. I suspect the slow but methodical grinding of these positions is to minimize Russian casualties but also to bleed the West….. NATO countries are currently short on munitions because of Ukrainian expenditure….which is about one tenth of Russia’s. The last fortifications will fall….the deep penetration will occur when the ground freezes and the last Ukrainian forces will be surrounded…. Z will go back to Israel….Poland will enter Western Ukraine and I still think U S will come in from Romania. Horrible mess anyways and I hope there is a Nuremberg 2.0
Realistic depictions of destruction and casualties are horrifying in any war … I think it would be the same if we could look in on the Peloponnesian War. Although my political sympathies are with Russia, I would have no soldiers on either side suffer this way.
But politicians who send men to useless deaths should earn the hatred of the civilized members of our troubled species.
I refer you to the house to house, shed to shed and shit house to shit house combat in the early days by the Russian Chechen special forces in the Donbas. Also the Russian Cossacks and local lads of the region.
Another doozy …the, down in the trenches, close quarter grenade tossing competitions.
The video’s are all there to see …BUT everything in America that’s the truth shall be hidden from the people as with elections, laptops, kiddy island and DC crypto fraud.
I do not blame you for not knowing. (The videos are also all full of inappropriate non commercial musical playing in the background. Share, subscribe and donate for a video copied, misappropriated and pasted for blood money. Ukraine or Russian it’s obscene. )
Unfortunately we have not seen this war start yet. Nor has Germany or Poland, they will get millions of desperate and entitled 🏳️🌈🇺🇦Nazis.
PS
when will America give 🇺🇸vets the medical care to match their sacrifice?
Ive never seen any chechen videos- are they on telegram?
Lots of combat videos on Telegram, Odysee, Bitchute …
Yes. TG. Reached its peak in Mariupol. They’re a lot less prolific with posting since then. Kadyrov’s TG channel probably has most of them.
Go to bitchute and search for this bloke’s videos: December1991 Simplicius76
He has been posting since Feb/March; many vids of close quarter combat with Chechens when liberating Mariupol.
The Chechens are certainly a cheerful lot, big wide smiles and fearless.
If ever the Chechens and Hizbollah joined together in a battalion it would be unbeatable.

Again the gods chosen people from zion bring humanity to the abyss
Now call me antizionist..
Nearly every republicanRAT voted to fund Ukraine. McConnell is exactly like Schumer. Expect nothing positive from the new congress, they are exactly like the old congress.
When the Ukrainian stables have been cleaned & the new multipolar world is up & running, & the US/EU/UK rump is simmering by the cesspit it dug for itself, I wonder if Amerika will even then own up to it’s sins of hubris & the damaged so caused……………? I bet not.
It’s the Kaganites vs the Reaganites.
Instead of a space blanket, Russians would of course use a vatnik. If not for physical warmth, it warms up their calloused soul! 🙂
Better then not having one at all…..
Why ?
Because a calloused soul itself begs redemption and will eventually heal, and be the better for it.
A complete lack of a soul is exactly that. No redemption possible for that which never existed.
Russia didn’t want this war. The US and EU did, else they would have forced compliance to Minsk II. (It was oh, so simple, wasn’t it?). Their choice, now to hell with them. They reap what they sow.
Well said.
A very interesting piece.
Hollie McKay’s comments prove Andrei Martyanov’s argument that many in the West are simply not accustomed to what real warfare is, and that we have been desensitised to its reality.
She writes, ‘A victory for the Russians, even one that resembles the apocalypse, is a very real and very jarring possibility.’
What does young Hollie think warfare is? Something different to the apocalypse? Does she think it can be waged in any other way? If so, she doesn’t tell us.
The Russians don’t want war. They’ve never wanted war in Ukraine. They know full well that waging war is a nasty, cruel business. After all, unlike us in the West they know full well the deadly nature of warfare.
However if required and as the Ukrainian military is discovering 24/7, the Russians will wage war with unrelenting focus. They are superb at it, too – but they also go overboard to adhere to the laws of warfare, and to minimise innocent death and injury.
Which brings us to another point. Hollie has this bizarre blindness about the western record in warfare. Like many in the west, she seems to have no idea that the way the Russians are waging war in Ukraine is in fact far more humane than the way Americans have conducted military campaigns in the last 25 years.
Apart from their illegal wars, in particular Iraq, American military campaigns have involved indiscriminate mass murder of innocent civilians (or as they call it ‘collateral damage’), illegal torture, cover ups, and use of proxies that engage in warfare which has little respect for recognised laws of war.
It’s truly amazing how westerners and in particular naive ‘journalists’ have a wilful blindness about western war crimes, while so easily accusing others of them, often using lies to do so.
I would think that American military campaigns have “involved indiscriminate mass murder of innocent civilians…” far far longer than 25 years. For instance, Vietnam in the 1970’s, bombings of Japan during WWII after Pearl Harbor & the lies/propaganda to draw the American public into the war, etc. MSM still rejects the notion that certain politicians knew beforehand of the attack…
US military atrocities go way back in the past; 250 years and more.
As for the UK, add a few more centuries.
I agree completely, I would have mentioned those as well but was reeling from an intense article I was in the process of reading & took a break from it, came here, & then went back to finish the article.
Yes. You’re correct
“Andrei Martyanov’s argument that many in the West are simply not accustomed to what real warfare is”. Martyanov should use the term “high intensity warfare” instead of “real warfare”. His term is pernicious in that it suggests that anything less than all out, full scale, high intensity war with the latest technology is not real war. Tell that to all those who suffered and died in those conflicts that aren’t “real” in Martyanov’s vocabulary.
I use those terms. Martyanov doesn’t.
But please. ‘High intensity warfare’.
Give me a break.
War is war, or it isn’t .
Speak to villagers in Afghanistan or Iraq about what happened when the Americans came to town.
A reminder – America’s invasion of Iraq was a disgusting, despicable war crime. It was based on a lie. Millions died.
America is worse than the Nazi regime. It’s true. It’s been able to get away with it because it’s been #1 and a hegemon. That’s all finished now, though.
Martyanov simply makes the point that in Russia they know as a nation and culture what it’s like to suffer from actual warfare and in the West, we don’t. He is 100% correct.
Imagine if America had lost 27 million citizens in WW2. You think Korea, Vietnam or Iraq would have happened? No chance.
Maybe “full spectrum war” is the most appropriate description of “real war”!
Guess she has never watched Apocalypse Now. Anyone who thinks war is clinical and clean is ignorant beyond belief.
Excellent comment. Very well written.
Thank you,
Dog
Human monstrosity has something woven into it, and even worse it is part of human enjoyment. After Hitler left, as a synonym for evil, evil just appeared and that without any need. 14 cities of Germany were burned, containing only civilians, 36 cities of Japan were burned, containing only civilians, with the atomic burning of the two cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, containing only civilians. Then the USA destroyed 39 nations and countries until today, without need, and mostly civilians women and children died there. So more than tens of millions of civilians killed. The monstrosity of man is inherent only to him and to no other being. Jesus was without this monstrosity in his being, therefore he tried as a savior to change this monstrosity, but they killed him in a terrible way, which only a man is capable of. Therefore, for the reason that Jesus brought people into a relationship with each other so that the opposites of opposites and enemies of enemies would be connected by almost eternal memories and hold each other, so that man would be spared from any harm. When a person sees the horror of war once, it shouldn’t happen again, that’s why reason was created to condemn what is unreasonable, when it fails, tragedies arise. Somehow, without Jesus, we can never be the people we should be.
Amen, brother.
When the people that speak for EU countries come out and say “we are sorry for our russophobia and would like to pursue diplomatic and trade agendas to get everyone back on track”. Then we may have a chance at peace. But many nations of Europe have huge rivalries that appear to be based upon hatred rather than footy. Immigration is out of control and the general ambiance is vaffanculo or worse.
Those words are going to need to be said and then the follow up has to be real or it all starts up again. Or Russia could just wait until the Euro zone give ziggy every last crossbow, catapult and trebuchet to show those darn Russkies. This is embarrassing.
And the story comes out about a UFO that passes a US nuke sub at mac 1+. In the water. This was in the 1990’s. We live in a satire, a farce, a sit com.
“In war, one side loses. The other side loses more”
Every killed and maimed soldier has at least 10 friends and relatives who will for a very long time hate the other side.
The Tragedy multiplies and endures
So what’s your explanation for Chechnya? A cruel and horrible war the Russians lost, followed by another cruel and horrible war. But a decade or two later Chechens are 100% on side.
Actually, Patrick, Yeltsin threw away Chechen War 1 as soon as he’d “won” the (CIA fixed) “election” of 1996 and no requirement to keep fighting for territorial integrity. Otherwise there would have been no Chechen War 2, no second round of devastation, and no decade long insurgency.
When are you going to start writing on your blog again, by the way?
I second waiting for your writing, PA, again.
Writing crimethink on my blog? Would you?

Not 100% onside. Some are fighting for Ukraine too, some ISIS.
Not all Chechens supported independence. That’s why it stabilised. The majority feel Russian.
The community is still divided. For now it’s stabilised. Kadyrov is a strong and can be a ruthless leader who sets the tone. He also wants to lead Russia in the future.
However Chechens have strong blood ties to other Russians, like Cossacks they are primarily of turkic decent. So it’s not clean-cut.
As for the war in Ukraine, everything up to now, including Bakhmut, is only the beginning. Here’s a recent comment from Dmitry Rogozin, Russia’s former Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the defence and space industries and former Director-General of Roscosmos: “When we say denazification – what do we mean? To be proud of the fact that 300 Ukrainian conscripts were killed in a day, or 1,000 were killed a day? This is a fight, this is a war. In fact, no one feels sorry for each other anymore. At least, Donetsk and Luhansk are not going to feel sorry for anyone. They are extremely serious. And so they will go exactly to the end.
“As for how it will all end. I am really deeply convinced that we will take Kiev, not liberate it. We are liberating the Donbass. Everything else we will take, just as we took Vienna, Berlin, Budapest. Because we can’t physically leave it to our children, our grandchildren. If we stop, we will have a huge potential on our western borders, pumped up with hatred and weapons, which calls into question the very fact of our existence. So it’s either us or them. ”
There it is, and the other side feels the same, so …
Russia is going to take the war to the Soros and Schwab stooges currently in power in the EU since they know they are dealing with psycopaths who are so bereft of any morality and humanity that they have even resorted to biological warfare and outright genocide against their own citizens. For Russia, this is a spiritual war, an existential war and all you need to do to understand this is listen to the statements made by leaders such as Ramzan Kadyrov and his brave Chechen soldiers not to mention the countless Russian servicemen on the front and at home.
Of course, the US and its ruling power elites, will be made to suffer too. The institution of US hegemony is needless to say under attack and will be check-mated or destroyed in due time by Russia and her allies. China, Iran, India, North Korea and a host of other countries will make sure to see it through.
Victoria Nuland, the neo-Pharisaic Talmudist, bears 100% responsibility for every conflict-related death and injury that has occurred on the territories of the Ukraine and the Russian Federation since 2014. Every single one. May she die a most painful death and then burn in hell for eternity.
Nuland is juat one underboss of a mafia gang financed by the likes of Soros whose Capo is Barack Hussein Obama.
Agree. The focus on her is out of sync with her authority,Blinken, Harris, Biden, Austin, CIA all bigger players than her. She is just more vocal about what they are actually thinking and doing.
Obama commmands as much as Biden. He just opted for an even dirtier kind of war. Killing thousands of innocents thousands of miles away with drones! He should have sat on the ICC a long time ago! But it’s the Nobel Peace Prize because it was going to close Guantanamo. Who is the capo? Next must be Zelensky. I just hope it buy Walesa a few bottles of vodka. Oslo loves puppets. It was good that at least once in a while they had the courage to reward a true pacifist who speaks the truth! Like Medea Benjamin, who never goes beyond the candidate list:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meIoJAslcm0
She’s married to Kagan. She’s had DoS appointments in every admin since Clinton II except Trump. She’s part of the inner circle.
One of the most twilight zone inducing aspects of Ukraine is how Nuland and Freeland are of a singular mind and purpose, whereas 50 years ago they’d have been mortal enemies.
It has been said the first casualty of war is the truth. Sadly , the people and organizations supporting the Ukraine make this true !
These people live in a hall of mirrors. My current goal is to isolate myself as best I can from any social contact with them and to look upon them as one might look at a diorama at the Museum of Natural History. (that part accomplished). My long term goal is to escape from their influence forever.
Whatever the actual casualty figures are of the Ukraine Army at present (and who f*ck knows right, what real numbers are, even in the approximate?), they could double in a heartbeat if the Russians decide to get serious.
Here is a Grad strike. This isn’t Russian howitzers and towed artillery methodically drone hunting squads of men, which what was this war has consisted mostly of so far, strikes like this can eliminate companies from the battlerolls in seconds, no matter deep the company digs in.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/W0i0GVuFoSml/
And they ain’t dug in deep, the Ukies, not in most spots along this 1,200 kilometer contact line. The myth of the magnificent trench system of the Ukraine Army is just that, a myth, and there is plenty of video of evidence prove it. In fact, what strikes me most as I’ve watched an endless, brutal series of Russian artillery hunts these past 9 months, is how pathetic the Ukraine defenses really are.
Shallow trenches and hastily dug foxholes out in the midde of nowhere are not the Maginot Line.
I wrote back in March that if the Russians get pissed off, or if enough civilians clear out of battlespace to free them up, and they start to use their real firepower, you could have a half a million Ukie casualities inside a month, if the Ukraine Army has the manpower that is, and refuses to surrender.
But I no longer think they have the manpower. That’s the good news.
Note: You know, I have yet to look at the cratered moonspaces of the various no man’s lands of Ukraine without thinking immediately, do the Ukrainians understand the Russians are only using their pea shooters?
You don’t have to be a forensic expert, just look at all those teeny weeny potholes.
Yep, the most powerful weapons have been used sparingly so far. And when they do use them it will probably be the largest number of casualties in a week since WWI.
Russia is deploying their self-propelled artillery Malka with 203mm rounds both guide dand unguided and their 240mm Tylupan (Tulip) self-propelled mortars. On the receiving end, hell has no comparison. Ukrainians are out gunned across the board. US weapons are not made to fight this war – breakdowns, rapid barrel wear, rate of fire issues contribute to an inability of Ukrainian forces to fight toe-to-toe with Russian firepower. No air cover and Russian Grads are another issue all together.
A myth that trapped Russian forces for months in Bakhmut and the same had already happened in Lugansk? Have you ever heard of defenses in depth with multiple lines? Or do you think that NATO engineers spent 8 years in Ukraine – which was never a NATO country – digging trenches like the trenches of the 1st war 100 years ago? That, as you say, the Russians now also opened up in hurry with machinery to defend some territories. Backhmut has lines with steel and concrete bunkers like Azovstal! Several azovstal! The region and not just the city! Some purpose built and others in a very industrial zone with nuclear bunkers. And the same for sure in Kramatorsk where the Ukrainians set up their HQ in Donbass!
What the Russian forces are doing in Donbass has never been done in the history of war and later on we will all realize it. That’s why I never believed in the myth of Russia’s big mistakes! Like an expeditionary force with very little infantry?! For what? To face the open chest bunkers with more casualties than the ukrop? No one knew better the in-depth defense that NATO built in Donbass than Russia. Which could only be undone behind artillery pieces. Donbass is an artillery war par excellence with a rate of fire the likes of which has never been seen in history. A slow meat grinder and there was no other way to annihilate the ukrop defense. Only at the bomb or through surrenders like in Azovstal! The infantry only appears after destroying the bunkers! Of course, there may have been surprises at the beginning as some Russian-affiliated Mayors were annihilated and hastily replaced by the SBU. But that was right at the beginning and has no relevant in the big picture of the conflict.
A mainly economic conflict that always had to arrive this winter for us to begin to see the first breaches in the western alliance. But also a propaganda conflict. With a disinformation campaign in the West like we’ve never seen before! Now, because of the insanity of the ceiling on the price of Russian oil, Bloomberg reiterated that the US never stopped buying Russian oil because American oil does not produce derivatives for the automotive fleet. Especially diesel for the distribution of foodstuffs. But also gasoline for the common citizen. And that many countries in Europe like Germany are buying Russian LNG like never before. Much more expensive to pay intermediaries and EU stupidity fee. And where do they store so much LNG? After the German civil protection already warned of power cuts from January…
Only lies 24/7! How Ukraine with the initial forces completely destroyed is winning the war. It also contributes a lot not to have transport to evacuate the wounded. A topic that Larry also deals with in this post. It is no coincidence that we are always reading reports of wounded ukrop abandoned in the open field and in the trenches. And how to evacuate them without helicopters or land vehicles? On the other hand, the first news begins to come out even in the West about the unrivaled performance in combat of the Russian Helis KA-50/52. The alligators who do it all. From carrying more than 2,000 kg of bombs, transporting a small detachment of fully equipped soldiers, support in the ground attack to this detachment given the high armor and at the end of the operation, evacuating the detachment of soldiers or or priority wounded. And war has always been the best fair for weapons of war!
It’s impossible to be able to read a war as it unfolds, but in my opinion asking more of Russian forces in a conflict where most analyzes don’t even consider half of the conflict’s aspects, was totally impossible. And I also still think it was very well planned. and I’m not sure there will be any changes in plans. The plan was never shock and awe starting with destroying the infrastructure. The plan was always to force negotiations that the West would not allow and to destroy Ukraine’s armed forces. It was the war that changed! Today the aim is to destroy NATO and EU forces and force negotiations. We are the ones who only get caught up in just one aspect many times. Which may not even be the most important thing. Russian operational art today as in WWII is very close to 5 stars!
Excellent comment. I totally agree. I live in the EU and I pray the Russians destroy the lunatics in charge in Brussels. Nothing less than total capitulation by Ursula and the rest.
Any European realizes that the quickest solution to the conflict is to break the EU. And that didn’t happen with full gas tanks. The problem is the suffering of Europeans. But I can’t say that many don’t deserve it. I know many who I’ve never heard express an opinion about Russia who suddenly hate Russia?! Completely alienated by the Russophobic campaign! Unfortunately we have to give credit to the Russophobic propaganda. When we all know that with some European leaders of the past this war would never started! Declaring war on our main energy supplier didn’t remenber neighter a mentally retarded person! On top of that, only with lies. Brussels knows very well who provoked the conflict! In a Europe that still remembers the Cuban Missile Crisis, where the US did not endure for 8 days what Russia has endured for 8 years. Not to mention the missile ramps in Poland and Romania.

Suburb Post
many thanks for your reliable commentary and your sterling efforts !..
however, on this one occasion, you have assumed that the casualty on the stretcher (in the photo) has a ‘major bleeder’ and that the use of a space blanket is inappropriate ?
Agreed, shock is defined as the loss of circulatory body fluid, the number one killer on the battle field, but the picture doesn’t really tell us anything other than the almost pure white bandages were not applied on the battlefield – I would suggest that this picture shows a medical facility transfer far from the front line.
The Ukrainians may as well tap out right now. It could cost them Kharkiv, Odessa and Mykolaiv in addition to the five oblasts they have already lost, but what choice do they have? The Russians are holding all the cards. It really is that simple.
Or they can go on, and this slaughter will continue.
Time to regroup, NATO. You chose this contest, and you have lost.
Problem is, Ukrainian losses are not of primary importance to Zelinski and NATO. Only strategic post war disposition of the region. Being forced to surrender because of terrible cost to Ukrainians is not the path to ending this, especially since the US NATO plan was switched in recent weeks to a long war bleed of Russia, like Afghanistan, but in the last few days, it is clear that the long war strategy is not viable at the loss levels being suffered now.
Now see the strategy switch to diversion of blame for the loss, and somehow to stop this regional war from metastasizing into a destruction of the western uni polar economic hegemony now underway due to the sanctions etc.
Cold bastards took away civilian access to antibiotics when they need it most. Heaven forbid their suffering spreads disease to the rest of us.

Melwani M. How war is spreading drug resistant superbugs across Ukraine and beyond BMJ 2022
…
“Fifteen year old Ana lost her family to a Russian rocket strike. She survived the attack, but ultimately lost her life to an invisible enemy: drug resistant bacteria.
When rockets fell from the sky on her home in eastern Ukraine—not far from the frontline—Ana was critically wounded and taken to a local hospital. Samples from her wounds were sent to the laboratory for culturing and an infection of a multidrug resistant strain of Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria was found.
Ana, whose name has been changed for privacy, was suffering from severe bleeding and shrapnel injuries—penetrating pelvic injuries and extreme soft tissue damage to the right thigh. “You can’t imagine the trauma. It was like half of her thigh was just broken,” Denis Surkov, one of the doctors who treated her, describes. The infection spread and sepsis set in. Soon, Ana would experience multiple organ failure, and spend six weeks in an intensive care unit (ICU).
After finally stabilising, she was transferred across the country to Surkov’s western Ukraine paediatric hospital, but the infection was uncontrollable. Septic shock set in again, and four days later Ana became another statistic of the war.
“We collect the most severe paediatric patients from eastern hospitals,” says Surkov, who is deputy medical director for anaesthesiology and intensive care at St Nicholas Children’s Hospital in Lviv. “At least two thirds of patients already have hospital acquired, multidrug resistant strains of bacteria. It’s a huge problem because of high mortality.”
The infection that killed Ana was resistant to all the antibiotics that the hospital had on hand, including imiprenum and menoprenum, often seen as a last resort for the most resistant bacteria.
…
In August 2022, the Ukrainian ministry of health implemented a new process where all patients are required to obtain a prescription from their doctor before buying antibiotics. This move was introduced to reduce abuse of antibiotics by patients, and is the first step to controlling the outbreak of drug resistant infections.”
Just yesterday morning I was telling my girlfriend that the situation for the Ukrainian military at Artëmovsk is so catastrophic that I would have felt sorry for them had I still had any ability to feel anything but hatred for the Ukranazis.
The problem was those who thought that Russia would destroy in a month what NATO took 8 years to build. It sent 1 Million infantry troops, which is the minimum for any force that wants to cross the Dnieper, not to mention other plans I read, they would faced strongholds like Bakhmut with an open chest, they had 500 000 casualties like Ukrop and worse, they went home with their tails between their legs. With EU gas tanks still full! Fortunately there are Military Academies in Russia!
Well…now I have to go wrap an ice cube in aluminum foil to see what you mean.
It delays its melting, insulating it from a higher outside temp.
It was one thing for the United States to be stirring up trouble in Asia and Middle Eastern countries; western civilization doesn’t share much in common with the Koreas, Vietnam, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan, and the rest. Oh, there is the embarrassing history of slave trading between Africa and the United States, but the buying and selling of human beings is a common practice throughout all facets of “American” society. And when the buying a selling of human beings doesn’t work, then there is the annihilation of Native Americans.
What is going on in the Ukraine is a war between various members of the same civilization. Western Civilization. A people who still share many common values, beliefs, social structures, and cultural traits are being forced to once again pick-up arms against each other. This war is being spread among all western countries by the United States. Russia is a member of western civilization, too. Remember: “There can be no Europe without Russia.”
This war is not just about chewing through Russian and Ukrainian forces, but all these western mercenaries as well. The war is becoming internecine. When the Ukraine runs out of both its own people, and all these western mercenaries, by then the war will have spread too far.
The United States thinks that losing the war in Ukraine still leaves it with two (2) options. The US can either go all in, come to the aid of “the Ukrainian martyrs,” or declare victory and go home. Except for one thing. This ain’t no Afghanistan.
Not possible. Not anymore. You don’t pull this crap, this shitting where you eat, and just walk away. This war will follow the United States home. This isn’t World War II. Two oceans will no longer protect the United States from a world conflict it started from reaching its shores. Not this time. This is World War III, with ICBMs, on many sides. And the United States has pissed them all off.
According to this article https://vz.ru/news/2022/12/2/1189352.html the supply of HIMARS to Ukraine allowed the Russian AD Forces to dramatically improve their performance:
“The problem was that we didn’t have enough HIMARS data loaded into our software before. Now we have managed to study in detail the flight parameters […] Now we have accumulated even more data about these American installations. With their help, it was possible to create a new program, which was added to other anti-aircraft missile systems. Now they work in automatic mode”.
It even looks like the Russians are eagerly awaiting more weapon supplies in order to increase their own AD capabilities further:
“The appearance in Ukraine of new types of weapons from the enemy, in particular, the GBU-39 bomb with the HIMARS engine, which is offered by Boeing, will lead to a new accumulation of information on them. We will work, monitor, study statistical databases. In the end, we will create new algorithms that will also be included in the software of our technology.”
Seems to me the Russians are not taking Bakhmut right now because they don’t want to. They will do so eventually when there is no more meat to grind. But as long as the Ukranians are willing to supply the meat, the Russians are willing to grind.
> “There is no denying the bravery of the Ukrainian soldiers”
when your strategy depends on the forced bravery of your solders, you know you lost and are wasting lives.
Jacob Dreizin wrote here about Ukranazistan forcing conscripts to fight on pain of being shot by an officer for refusing an order (any order).
https://thedreizinreport.com/2022/11/25/dreizin-retires/
Bet a lot of those soldiers had their lives ended while desperately trying to figure out how to get into a situation where they could surrender.
All the recent figuring about the actual number of dead and wounded subtracted from the total fail to include the tens of thousands of POWs. Bravery is often a choice of last resort.
I saw on Intel Slava Z a report of tank crews being welded inside the turret.
I stead of attacking, they turned the turret backwards & drove to the Russians, who freed them.
I wonder how many Ukrainians now wish Russia had succeeded in its high maneuver play for a knockout early in the war?
Now Ukraine will be slowly and methodically ground down into a rump state with less then half the population, devoid of industry, less territory and deeply impoverished for a generation a two . The west will be stuck having to pump money and resources into an open ulcerating sore of a nation that will never heal.
I believe it was the treatment of captured Russian soldiers that hardened Putin to the task of relentlessly grinding away and turning Ukraine into a paste of ruin.
And I’m sure the murder of Darya Dugina also figured in his calculations. This outrage certainly caught my attention back when it happened.
Gilbert Doctorow reported that many returned Russian POWs were “…castrated or otherwise disabled by their Ukrainian captors.”
After Aleppo and Mariupol, now Artemovsk, the pace of the small (though??) Stalingrad of the US proxies is accelerating with devastating effects on the reputation of the US army. At the same time 100 billion helicopter money monthly accelerate the fall of the crazy DC.
The Russians will move forward to secure the 4 oblasts they have just integrated. They will respond to the delivery of long-range artillery by preparing an advance westward by destroying what remains of the Ukrainian power grid. Millions of refugees will flood into Poland and Germany, which will ask Sweden and Finland to show solidarity. This is how the winter will end.
In order not to face another proxy war, in the Sahel or North Africa, for example, the Russians will keep the war going until summer 2024. The situation in the EU and the USA will mature for the US election campaign. What will be the credibility of the candidates who want a military victory over Russia? For the Russians it will be the perfect timing for an operation Bagration bis. Here we are.
Well said. Russia is selling its oil and gas. It has zero unemployment. It is building its gold reserves. Putin has 80% approval. On our side? Our leaders are getting ready to get thrown from office. Our armories are being drained dry. Russia is slowly and methodically destroying the Western Armies. And they are wisely doing it in the backdrop of elections and public sentiment. Secure the Donbas. That is where all the resources and industry of Ukraine are. Even if the West holds Kiev? It holds a festering Herpes sore that must be 100% financially supported. And the refugee situation cannot be understated. The EU is already broke with their self-inflicted energy costs. And here come the Ukrainian refugees. Just before the starving Sub-Saharan Africans from the food sanctions.
Interesting piece but I am drawn to the comments on Trauma Combat Casualty Care.
My feeling is that Ukrainian deaths are even higher than the 100k best guesses, simply because they are unlikely to be saving the seriously wounded.
After your course you can probably say more, but I would have thought: training, motivation, organisation, supplies, expert medics are all lacking.
Pretty sure that amongst all the dead bodies left lying there, quite a few would have been saveable.
Again, “war is not about who’s right but about who’s left”
“No denying the bravery of Ukrainian servicemen”. Why make this statement with every post? Really? What exactly is the point? They have Nazi in the rear formations ready to shoot them dead if they try to retreat. They don’t have a choice, other than to surrender if the situation permits.
Exactly. Somehow donning a uniform fighting for the oligarchs spun into some jingoistic bullshit of democracy and freedom is bravery. Thanks for your service. Now go pitch a tent on the freeway.
True. It occurs to me that the only authentic hero in WW III on the Axis side was Franz Jägerstätter.
It’s de rigueur amongst military men of any nation. My father, part of the 1st Marines landing on Guadalcanal was quoted something similar by the local town paper about the Japanese. “They just don’t give up”.
Do we have proof of the existence of these Nazi punishment squads? It sounds like the kinds of things the Russians are accused of.
And the true nightmare? Russia started off slow. It made mistakes. And that happens to everyone in all situations. But they are learning from their mistakes. They are finding the “Fighting” Generals. They are discovering what weapons systems work. They are expending old munitions and replacing them with new and proven ones. They are gaining intelligence and actual physical access to many of our “Wundewaffe”. And incidentally, finding out that many of our weapon systems are jokes. Adaption. Drones and missiles. It is no longer an Air Force world. Too many manpads. And what do we do? We unveil the ghastly expensive B21 “stealth” bomber. Which is still not flying. And which the Air Force will not even release a price tag on. And most importantly? The Russians are sustaining very low casualties. They have probably lost about 10K to Ukraine’s at least 100K. But their troops are now blooded. And here is a true story. All Armies have their SpecOps, Delta’s, etc. And they are good. But when the shit hits the fan, you run out of them. And the ordinary troops get thrown in. And there are casualties. But after a steep learning curve? Your average Joes are just as good as the elites. This shit ain’t rocket science. It is just a very brutal school. And Russia has LOT of graduates now. And we have woke warriors with transgender Admirals and Generals. Who are owned by Raytheon.
“We unveil the ghastly expensive B21 “stealth” bomber. Which is still not flying. And which the Air Force will not even release a price tag on.”
I was listening to Brian Berletic this morning while I was puttering around the kitchen, and I believe he tagged it at $500 million a pop, which sounds about right.
A TOTALLY obsolete weapons system long before it got anywhere near a drawing board. I’m willing to entertain arguments that fighters still have a role to play, if only so that obsolete aircract carriers have something to do, but this dead on arrival* monstrosity?
I don’t know man, I guess you just chuckle to yourself and simply add it to the ever expanding list of why it’s embarrassing to be an American at this moment in time.
*Actually, dead “before” arrival would be more accurate.
No accountability. Sickening. We deserve all the consequences we are about to get. That’s the real shit headed our way.
If, after being Nazis (How do you possibly top that?), Germany saw that it had no future except to commit suicide, what Fatum awaits the United States? I’m thinking these consequences are nuclear. The United States doesn’t have the natural resources to sustain another world war with conventional warfare. Nobody does.
There is a chance that old narratives are always replaced by new narratives. But, my God, what kind of stories do we want to keep telling ourselves?
We pull all this crap and then say: “See? Still here.”
” For the Kremlin, securing Bakhmut — one of the few places it is not in retreat — represents the frenzied feat needed to change the narrative of their losing “special military operation.”. ”
Petards are very useful not restricted to hoisting.
“they have to defend themselves in extreme cold and knee-deep in water.”
Whilst the “West” is enmazed in absolutes including snow/no snow, some practitioners utilise the seasons since lateral change is a constant.
What’s reported here matters not to the War Mongers cashing their checks from the MIC! In Austin’s Case, that’s RAYTHEON where he’s on the Board of Directors.
“US Defense Secretary Austin accuses Russia of brutality, says Moscow deliberately targeting civilians in Ukraine Russia is targeting civilians and civilian objects, Russian attacks have resulted in death of children, destruction of schools and hospitals” – IntelRepublic
Austin is one of the biggest, a BALD-FACED TRAITOROUS Lying Punk of the highest order, projecting what the Ukes are guilty of in spades! He’s destroyed our own Military for The THING in the White House, neither of whom could care less – our Country and the World be damned to the delight of their Globalist Masters!
Are black Americans going to pay reparations for what Powell, Obama, Harris and Austin have done to Iraq, Libya, Syria and Ukraine?
Is this the kind of blog whose administrator allows posts like yours to stay up?
“Pictures and videos are worth a thousand words.”
Not really, but useful if you believe so since this is an illusion of “American propaganda”.
The denominators are different so comparatives are ideological constructs based upon belief in constructed common denominators, whilst the boy cried wolf with immodest regularity in respect of “Pictures and videos”.
“Why make this statement with every post?”
Compassion towards the defeated …
Fathers, sons, brothers, friends …
The Ukrainian casualty rate per day along the ENTIRE Ukrainian front as reported by Russians is in the hundreds and the western media thinks that’s high. Consider that in 1942 – 43 on average 19,000 soldiers died every day in Stalingrad alone and on top of that you had desperate pitched battles at Rzhev NW of Moscow (the infamous Rzehv meat grinder so bloody the Russians buried the history out of embarrasment), all along the front between Moscow and Stalingrad fighting raged, fighting in the Caucasus for oil fields and the seige of Leningrad ongoing.
I think we are in for a taste of real war on the Russian steppe this winter … not the late war sweeping combined arms assaults of the late war but the grinding bloody battles of 1942 complete with rats, fleas, typhus, dysentry, gangrene, trenches built of frozen corpses and artillery churning up corpses and raining the gore down on the trenches. No one in the west has seen warfare like this since WW1.
The difference this time is the Russians are going to be the ones with overwhelming firepower. They have secure supply lines, lots of ammo, field kitchens, heated quarters, hot showers and you won’t see Russians advancing until the opposing guns are silent. Time is on their side this time.
I could be wrong … I really hope I am … but I fear we’ve opened a door that should have remained firmly bolted.
The Russian Army has … “secure supply lines, lots of ammo, field kitchens, heated quarters, hot showers and you won’t see Russians advancing until the opposing guns are silent. Time is on their side … ”
So a month ago there was all those train videos on YouTube of Russian military equipment heading toward the front, somewhere between 6 and 7 thousand pieces by my count, all the stuff you’d expect; tanks, BMPs, self-propelled guns, towed artillery, trucks and MLRS systems of all types, tons of digging equipment; but most impressively, mobile field kitchens, I saw 25 in total I think, with 12 on one train (for sure), all 12 looking brand spanking new, all the same model, and this particular model looked big enough, and modern enough, to easly handle three meals a day for a thousand men.
The Russians can do whatever they want in this theater of war, all options are open, including rolling over this enemy as if it wasn’t there, and leaving nothing but the dead behind.
“I fear we’ve opened a door that should have remained firmly bolted.”
Agree. Excellent comment.
Amateurs talk tactics. Professionals talk logistics.
“… but I fear we’ve opened a door that should have remained firmly bolted.”
Yep, a door to absolute hell on earth that should have stayed shut, but needed to be opened. Now it’s open the Russians will destroy everything evil inside and then firmly slam that door shut – forever.
Komsomolskaya Pravda today features an article on General Surovikin’s plan to make the RF advance along the whole frontline (- so not only at the Artemovsk/Bakhmut front -) in a well-coordinated manner. https://www.kp.ru/daily/27479.5/4687146/
Sergey Surovikin methodically knocks out the belief in revenge from NATO commanders in the NVO
Our troops begin to act as a single well-oiled mechanism of the military machine
Over the past week, the United Group of Troops (Forces) of Russia cleared several settlements of Ukrainian nationalists at once. The armed formations of the Kyiv regime were driven out of Pershe Travnya, Belogorovka, Andreevka, Kurdyumovka, in the main areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily suffers consistently large losses during unsuccessful attacks.
In the Bakhmut direction near Konstantinovka and Kupyansky near Kuzemovka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are no longer able to cope with the number of wounded. All the hospitals and schools in the rear were filled with “Three Hundreds”. There is a catastrophic shortage of medical personnel and medicines. Therefore, wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to amputate limbs as soon as possible in order to avoid blood poisoning. Many do not have time and they die from gangrene. As in the First World War, when the world did not yet know antibiotics.
Our soldiers, first of all, cut out everything foreign from the map of Ukraine. In a week, according to official data, the Ministry of Defense eliminated a dozen temporary points of foreign mercenaries and more than 400 foreigners with the help of high-precision missile strikes. Most of them were Poles.
Native artillery works more and more accurately, as air defense units began to more confidently intercept any American radio-controlled missiles and shells in flight, making it impossible for the Armed Forces to launch counterattacks.
All data transmission control channels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are under the control of our Orlan-10 and Moskit drones, which are constantly on duty high in the sky.
They paralyze even the communication centers of the command posts of the nationalists, which are located at a considerable distance from the front. This actually blocks the control system of the Ukrainian armed formations.
Along the entire line of contact, Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian nationalists and frustrating their attempts to launch counterattacks. In them, the armed formations of the Kyiv regime lose every day not only hundreds of wounded and killed, but also faith in the possibility of revenge.
The capture of Klescheevka already gives our troops the opportunity to advance to Chasov Yar and cut off the supply lines of the enemy who has settled there, and the loss of Kurdyumovka forces the Armed Forces of Ukraine to retreat to Dzerzhinsk (Toretsk). It is already more difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to shell Horlivka from it.
Military experts are sure that the new strategy of the commander of the OGVS, Sergei Surovikin , has already forced NATO generals to reconsider their plans for the supply of long-range weapons. They see that modern weapons do not help the Ukrainian military much. Sometimes they deliberately put it out of action so as not to attract the attention of Russian artillery and aviation, and in case of any minor injury, they flee from the battlefield.
In the rear of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where there were sharp interruptions in electricity and work at military enterprises, prostitution, trafficking in weapons, drugs and human organs have already flourished. They steal everything and everywhere. Do not disdain even neighboring diesel generators. Unknown people in the cities of Ukraine cut cables for kilometers, which are sometimes disconnected from electricity. Rent them for non-ferrous metal.
On crimes, many Ukrainians are trying to quickly earn more money in order to leave for Europe, where refugees have already begun to be denied material assistance. They know that there they will have to rely only on themselves.
Surovikin’s new strategy showed brilliant results. With a few precise blows, it was possible to unbalance not only the whole of Ukraine, but also to make the European Union think. While the Kyiv authorities are thinking about how to warm up their rear, General Surovikin is rebuilding the defensive line, which will soon allow the troops to launch a large-scale offensive along the entire front line.
There is a catastrophic shortage of medical personnel and medicines.
So, what they say then is true. Tens of billions of dollars being stolen. What else then could possibly explain the above?
Thank you Larry, and thank you to the remarkably good and insightful commenters here!
Those ATGMs are not Javelins, because of the trajectory and lack of “hot enough target” (unless they can guide themselvese onto body heat of soldiers :).
It was a SWAG on my part. Thanks.
“There is no denying the bravery of the Ukrainian soldiers.”
The Western layman is misled by the term “Ukrainian”. And in Donetsk / Luhansk, in your opinion, who are Russians or Ukrainians? The soldiers of Ukraine in the above videos speak and swear (and therefore think) in Russian in moments of danger. Who are they? In my opinion, Russian citizens of Ukraine by nationality are brainwashed.
There is no denying the bravery of Russians fighting between themselves , could be more accurate.
Brainwashing Russians into anti-Russains has been a long and systematic process. Creation of anti-Serbs from Serbs has been going on for centuries too. They also fought among themselves bravely for the benefit of the West.
The Western layman is misled by the term “Ukrainian”.

I was watching Tiffany Smiley vs. Patty Murray debate for a seat in Congress that Murray holds for about 30 years! Smiley’s officer husband lost his eyesight in Iraq when a desperate Iraqi suicide bomber detonated it, and I saw that Smiley pathologically couldn’t admit the truth – that her his life lost his eye for a lie, that we shouldn’t be in Iraq, there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, the horror of Albright’s statement that 500,000 dead Iraqi kids “were worth it”, that US talking democracy but thinking oil, and when her husband lost his eyesight, army tried to write him off just as most USA veterans, who were sacrificed all for some dubious goals. Smiley lost to Murray but I kept wondering that she could have won if she told it as it is …
My awakening came upon realizing someone very close was killed by a Vietnamese patriot fighting an invading army. That my country’s leaders were lying about the war. That the war itself was a lie.
There were no good old days — just days when we were too young and inexperienced to know our asses from a hole in the ground.
I suspect that most here are not old enough to remember the Vietnam war. That is the last war where the Pentagon allowed free roaming reporters and network newsmen unfettered access to the troops and battles. It was also the last war fought by draftees.
Every night the network news led off with the number of soldiers killed on both sides. The numbers were lopsided in favor of us, but the war ground on and on. Actual newsmen reported from the war. Americans saw the horrific images of our modern military machine against a peasant army.

This was an era of political assassinations, riots in major cities, the fight for civil rights, cops cracking heads, and countercultural social upheaval. All of it was part of the televised landscape.
Such things were the subject of heated, open debates. Televised.
Post Vietnam the Pentagon learned two key lessons: Don’t draft soldiers and don’t ever again allow actual news reporters into war zones.
All of our wars since then have been fought by a “volunteer” force that has been fed increasingly sophisticated propaganda. The term “embedded reporter” was introduced, meaning that the news media, which was now fully co-opted into the MIC propaganda machine, only gave us rah rah reporting of staged events and the most we see of any war is video from a drone about to “precision” hit the enemy du jour.
We don’t see the coffins of dead soldiers being unloaded on the tarmac.
The reality of war has been carefully removed from the minds of the American people.
This is how the mass murdering psychopaths who rule us are able to do what they do. It’s all a formula now.
1.) Designate the current Hitler, apply 24/7 propaganda.
2.) Make sure the population is fully indoctrinated into the belief that our massive military machine is always a force for good, defending the innocent against (1.). Do this by militarizing the entire society via movies, television, video games, and military flyovers in mass sporting events.
3.) Make sure that anyone who speaks out against (1.) or (2.) is marginalized (“conspiracy theorist!”) and vilified.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
We’re living in a society that has no sense of history; a society that has been carefully split apart into alphabet soup with military grade propaganda and psychological operations so that we are focused only on our empty selves and hating the other and not looking at the murderers and thieves who rule us.
As Harold Pinter noted in his brilliant Nobel acceptance speech:
“The crimes of the United States have been systematic, constant, vicious, remorseless, but very few people have actually talked about them. You have to hand it to America. It has exercised a quite clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It’s a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis.”

May God help us find a way out of this hell.
zelensky needs to stand his army down and surrender himself to the russian authorities time to rally up, stack arms, and call it a war
This continuous, ongoing carnage is all on the West — and the foolish, immoral American politicians in particular — who pushed Ukraine into becoming part of NATO. Pat Buchanan had it right decades ago, when he wrote that “democracy” is an idol and a false god. America now has the blood of over 60 MILLION babies on its hands; recently depraved, reprobate “Republicans” voted to “codify” homosexual “marriage”; America is now $30 TRILLION in debt, a result of the Satan-inspired attempt by politicians to turn stones into bread (see Matthew 4: 3-4). American’s politicians have become a criminal class, and can anyone assert that Pat Buchanan was wrong? The West no longer recognizes the Lord Jesus Christ as the King and Ruler of this universe and our world. Therefore, the West is now doomed to die. Its people will be replaced by a different class of barbarians — the Marxist Socialist totalitarian kind, and with hordes of Christ-hating Mohammedans. The West’s ONLY hope is to repent of its madness and insanity (i.e, the religion of Liberalism), repent of its sins, and embrace the Triune God of the Bible (King James Version best) — Father, Son, Holy Spirit — as revealed in the holy Scriptures.

‘Mohameddans’ in fact revere Christ as a prophet. Sorry to disappoint you.
Every one of Larry Johnson’s fans — I count myself as one of them, for the truth, accuracy and clarity of his articles — should take the time to read Davy Crockett’s NOT YOURS TO GIVE. If American politicians thought like Crockett did, and were not the greedy, self-serving Marxist Socialists they are — this war would likely never have gotten started in the first place. Here’s the link:

American politicians are Marxists? What are they preaching in your church? Hold back part of your tithe ’til they hire a fact checker.
Thank you for this link; I printed the article out.
I truly love this site. Larry starts excellent conversations and the comments are enlightening. GDP. How does a nation like Russia compete with us in weapons production with a fraction of our GDP? I am no fan of government healthcare but our system is flawed. How much of our GDP is healthcare? The self licking ice cream cone. How much is the legal weed business? How much in Wall Street derivatives? You get my point. Now compare USA and Russia GDP in concrete “we made this shit and sold it” numbers. Different reality then. Our defense budget versus theirs for our 800 invasion bases spread all over the world. The numbers you see are the numbers they want you to see.
Meanwhile, here’s the extra building in the Moscow Metro — look at all the station s and lines built in the Putin era. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expansion_timeline_of_the_Moscow_Metro
They sure build a lot of nothing in Russia.
GDP comparisons are only worth taking note of when they cite PPP.
Most disgusting thing of all is seeing the western politicians feeding this massacre uselessly with money and weapons while pretending to care for Ukraine. What a bunch of ghastly worms.
total agree with you.
And Macron has just suggested to start negotations . Really the only way to get out of this.
And many politicians, especially also in germany, say: no , impossible.
… and Zelinsky sacks the Orthadox church.

There is no place to hide … non sanctuary for the common people. Pretty sad..none of it had to happen. Those who control NATO moved the missiles up… on purpose … for the confrontation. Just like Kennedy with the Cuba missile crisis. Shoe is on the other foot now. The plan was to Balkenize Russia… divide the spoils. Russia military still has one hand tied behind their back. The ground is about froze up…. RU military prospers in the freeze.
I confirm the above. I have an elderly family member in Pokrovsky Convent in Kyiv, it’s a heritage complex, where worshipers from all over the world come since medieval times, and which belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church since medieval times, and one of the Grand, Duchesses Romanov was a patron and a nun. The nuns are an international team from the former USSR republics, and it’s only women, mostly elderly. At the beginning of the war, Zelensky’s goons threatened them to explode the convent, forcing the priest to say, “Glory to Ukraine” to which he replied, “Glory is only to God,” trying to force them into the “designated and politically correct” religion.
I begged both of the Democratic senators of my state to stop it – the freedom of worship is a basic human right and – absolutely NOTHING!
I begged to not send more weapons to Ukraine – absolutely NOTHING!
How can the USA spread “democracy” when I don’t even know what is it we now have here, in the USA?
The CIA started a new branch of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine some time ago – anti-Russian, of course. I assume these measures are not aimed at them.

Two Brit jackasses braying into the wind. Could have been a Monty Python skit.
Agree. I just didn’t wait for the end to see what they were selling.
I know that Youtube channel. The owner, sitting to the right, is one of those smell-his-own-british-farts-because-british-farts-are-best-farts-in-the-world types. The guy on the left is probably his friend from special education class. They did an interview before he left (even less watchable than this one), and I genuinely though that he was dead. It turns out that he had more luck than brains, which doesn’s sound too hard for such a special bloke (according to his patches).
And more important for a European than the ukrop injured, two videos that portray well how Europe is being looted and humiliated by the US:

The accuracy of the heavy weapons both sides are using is clearly atrocious. The towns and fields look like they were hit by a huge flight of B-17’s in WWII. This has been true in every battle fought so far so not just something that is only happening in Bakhmut.
Bad news just in: Today is a difficult day for the Russian army aviation. Militants from the Buk air defense system shot down our Ka-52 attack helicopter.
Both crew members were killed. The crew of the “Beard” was the most productive crew of the group.
They were the best of the best.
Legendary.
6 Orders of Courage for two.
Today they are gone.
Both.
The crew was presented to the highest award and the highest rank of the Russian Federation.
To the golden stars of Heroes.
Posthumously. https://t.me/fighter_bomber/9770
good evening Larry,
yep the 1st time I pulled out the heating pad to “Taco up” a IED wounded troop in early war Iraq in 120 deg heat I got a few looks from the kid’s battle buddies….amazing how quickly the body core temp ( hypothermia starts affecting system functions at approx 94/93 dregs, death at 88) drops with blood loss….approx 1 deg per 3 min depending on wound bleed and loss body mass (legs/arms). Had to heat up the IV fluids (Hepta not NS or LR) also. The point made about Ukieland and their wounded is they die…..become missing in action….and do it very horribly…..there is No Ukie medical combat support, none. The sheer waste of human souls and the depravity of the AFU leadership is Biblical and is not going unnoticed by those of us who have walked in the Valley of death. The current US leadership should take notice , but I doubt it. GO’s rarely get blood on their pants or uniforms. Keep up the good work Larry, you are reaching many, many ppl in the truth of your words. May the Almighty Lord continue to bless you. CM. out.
Thanks brother. We always benefit from people with real experience sharing their knowledge.
Amen Brother
When you look at DNI’s asseessment of the Uko-Nazi – Russian sitution on the ground……..
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-intelligence-chief-predicts-reduced-tempo-waning-morale-russian-forces-entering
…… we find it generally backs-up the drivel pumped out by the MSM.
BTW, I do not think the Kremlin was looking at the possibility of wiping out NATO in the run-up to the SMO, however the Kremlin is on the verge of doing just that. A few years back Putin claimed that the Russian Armed Forces can reach Brussells in two weeks of war…… which is kinda looking quite feasible these days.
The strategic basis for the former presence in Kherson while Bahkmut is still being contested confuses my basic, linear, understanding. It is something like 500 km, east/west.
Saw this today

I really think they echoing the Ukrainian stance and not Russia’s.
The fascist lineage that is now resurfacing dates back to the 1930s.
NATO is no longer a defensive alliance. It is an offensive coalition in view of the future confrontation with China.
The provocation against Russia succeeded in producing war.
This is only an appetizer, a step to force the Europeans to cut themselves off from Russia, to align themselves, to vassalize themselves even more and lose all possibility of backtracking geopolitically.
The United States want to cleave irremediably without their allies having the possibility of leaving the bloc thus formed.
But it’s not a game of Nations as you might think, it’s a game of social class.
NOTE: You can only follow me if you know that the capitalist world is going through a serious existential crisis, a crisis that I have been analyzing for you, day after day, for several decades. If we do not observe this crisis, nothing is intelligible. If you accept it, everything makes sense.
Basically, we pick up the thread that was tied in the 1930s during the great fear of the very big owners, when the very big world bourgeoisie was afraid, with the terrible crisis and mass unemployment, of the rise of Bolshevism and that she financed the rise of fascism. Financing now well documented and has become unavoidable historical truth.
Continuing in French (easy to machine translate), too long otherwise to post here in full version in EN.

At this point what would crack the Ukrainian facade of so-called “winning?”
A 30, 000 man envelopment?
That could be what the Russians are driving for.
Western media and the “think tank” ecosystem could not deny the dire circumstances Ukraine and its military are in.
My sense is that Russia wants to accomplish something that does not give rise to any intervention (greater than now).
But sends an irrefutable message to the West the war is lost… don’t spend good money after bad.
That may or may not entail a sharp Eastern offensive to seal the message.
But if they encircle 30, 000 men… that might be enough.
Respectfully, I have to disagree. Money means nothing anymore. Nothing is enough anymore. You are dealing with a planet that now has 8-billion people. That is a lot of civilians that will have to die as armies fight their way towards each other.
In war, some estimates are that civilian deaths amount to as much as 54 to 74-present. That’s a lot of otherwise dead mothers, and daughters, and sons, and babies, and a lot of old people. What euphemistically used to be (so-called), non-combatants.
Some say this figure is more like 90-percent. That’s a lot of death, much of it going unreported for generations.
Try telling this to a planet that hasn’t seen real war in over 80-years.
Larry, any idea who the former USMC general officer commanding Wagner PMC’s British battalion might be?
I’ve seen the name but don’t know him. He’s commanding MOZART not WAGNER.
Former US Marine Corps general commands PMC Wagner foreign fighters
The businessman [Prigozhin] also said that the Finns were fighting in a British battalion of the PMC, the commander of which is a US citizen, a former Marine Corps general, Yevgeny Prigozhin’s press service said. — Pravda

Am aware a retired USMC Colonel (Milburn? Milbank?) founded Mozart, but this sounds like a different guy. Could be interesting next time he walks into the E Ring…
Sorry for the double post.

“However, what I also observe is that Ukraine’s military often sets up posts directly outside humanitarian headquarters, hospitals and homes”
That’s a stunning admission that both Ukrainian forces and Syrian “rebels”/terrorists were trained in urban combat by the same idiots : British soldiers or spooks.
Back in 2015 I remember European media telling us day after day that the “inhumane” Russian army was bombing schools and hospitals all over Syria.
Yup that’s because the Al-Nosra scum was hiding there, following instructions from their English-speaking minders.
It didn’t work in 2015 why should it work now (and it didn’t work either in Mariupol this Spring).
They did the same thing in Yugoslavia too. The more I learn about the “western world”, the more I hate it.
We know very little of what is going on. Perhaps the broad strokes. It seems certain the Russians are and will win. Of course we have to define winning and as each day goes by, I would guess the definition of winning must be changing and the win lines moves further west in Ukraine.
The Russians do seem to be trading fire power for the lives of their soldiers. But we don’t know what that means. The Russian military has always been very resistant to reform. Stories from the early 2000’s about the routine brutalization of the annual draft of conscripts were once common. Has any of that changed ?
Perhaps the way Russia is conducting the war now, is the only way they are capable of doing. I am still struck by the videos of the murdered Russian POW’s, wondering how they managed to be captured to begin with. What are the circumstances that leads to 1/3 of a platoon being left behind, or running out of ammo or being overrun ?
The attacks on the Russian airfields are inconsequential. I don’t buy that the damage was caused by drones being shot down. I dont even necessarily buy the drone story at all. If Ukraine has the ability to resist, they will resist. But this is hardly resistance. It’s shaking your fist. That Ukraine is reduced to these kinds of gestures needs to enter into their calculus about ultimate prospects in the war.
Russia still suffers from the effects of the collapse of the USSR, the “shock therapy” and waves of corruption and breakdown in society. Much has improved but Putin works within the system he has and that system is still an oligarchy of competing business and government interests. He appears to be a profound realist whose vision is that of a nationalist, but one who understands that politics is the art of the possible.
The pressure of war may help reshape Russia by mobilize people and discrediting the corrupt influences or make it all worse. It all remains to be seen.
In the meantime, Russia will win this war and the west will lose. What flows from that ? We have barely begun to imagine.
Never thought I’d see the day when the Dallas Morning News would spew such drivel.
