I suppose it should not surprise anyone that the failure to understand the challenges Ukraine faces in trying to launch a counter offensive is a consequence of the fact that most Western politicians and media have zero experience serving in a military organization. That lack of experience means there is little understanding of the importance of training and the logistics chain that must be in place to support that training. Once of the biggest problems confronting Ukraine, in my view, is the complete lack of uniformity.
The strength of any army is the principle of uniformity. Here is a Captain Obvious moment — the reason that a military organization sports a uniform is to ensure that troops in the heat of battle can easily identify their fellow fighters. Can you imagine an army that would grant each soldier or sailor or Marine the option to choose their own wardrobe? While you might get some fabulous fashion choices, allowing such diversity would undermine the operational effectiveness of that organization in combat.
The concept of uniform in the military extends beyond what men and women wear. How about training? An effective military organization relies on standard operating procedures in order to ensure that even the least mentally competent member of a unit knows the policies, procedures and tactics he or she must perform under stress. One of the critical objectives in basic training is to teach new recruits how to communicate and how to act on orders. If a military organization incorporates different units with different methods of communicating the odds of confusion on the battlefield increase dramatically.
So look at Ukraine’s problem. Ukrainian soldiers are not being instructed at Ukrainian bases on Ukrainian soil by Ukrainian officers. Nope. Ukrainian troops are being trained in the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, France and Italy. Would you be surprised to learn that each of those countries employ different methods for teaching everything from marksmanship, marching, unit maneuvers and personal hygiene? I am not suggesting that the respective NATO countries are doing a poor job of training the Ukrainian units under their care. However, once those Ukrainian troops return home and are deployed to the front lines it is highly likely that a unit trained in the United Kingdom will operate differently from a unit trained in France. In other words, lack of uniformity. That creates a command and control challenge.
Lack of uniformity also is a problem because of the variety of weapons issued to Ukrainian troops. Anti-tank weapons illustrates the dilemma. The photos below show a British NLAW and a U.S. Javelin missile. Both are designed to kill a tank, but the procedures a soldier must follow to fire a NLAW differs from a Javelin. The Javelin, for example, is equipped with an optic, the NLAW is not. I am not saying that a soldier cannot be trained to use both. Of course they can. But the reality is that these anti-tank weapons are being delivered to Ukrainian troops who have not had the opportunity to go through a training regimen to make them proficient in either or both.

We see the same discord when it comes to the tanks, vehicles and planes that have been or will be supplied to Ukraine. This diversity adds another level of complexity because of the various maintenance requirements for these systems. It means you need an ample supply of spare parts and, most importantly, trained technicians who know how to do the mechanical work maintain or repair the vehicle or aircraft.
We know from the classified documents ostensibly leaked by Jack Teixeira that the Ukrainian brigades slated to spearhead the counter offensive are not being trained and organized in the same fashion. Ukraine is training three Brigades and the U.S. and NATO partners are training (or have trained) nine brigades. And there is no guarantee that a Brigade trained in the U.K. will operate to the same level of competence as a Brigade trained in Germany or France.
It does not matter how brave or committed the Ukrainian troops are who will carry out the attack on Russian positions if the offensive is launched. If it comes, they will start with a deficit because they have been trained in different ways. More troubling is that the 12 brigades have not conducted a joint exercise where they have learned to carry out coordinated operations with the other units. Their task is made even more difficult because the attacking force will not have the close air support from combat jet and rotary wing aircraft. The Ukrainian units also are unlikely to have mobile air defense systems to fend off Russian aerial counter attacks. Ditto for mobile artillery.
The only hope for the Ukrainian troops tasked with this mission is that NATO intelligence has identified a weak point in the Russian defenses that can be exploited by the attacking force. If such a location exists, it is probably in an area with no significant population or urban centers. That means Ukraine will be capturing fields and forests and that will accomplish nothing that changes the tactical or strategic face of the war.
The German Wehrmacht, a much more powerful and well trained force than anything Ukraine can put on the battlefield, learned to their chagrin that lack of logistics and combat air support during the last days of Operation Barbarossa (which was launched in the summer of 1941) deprived them of victory. While the Nazis succeeded in driving to the suburbs of Moscow, they literally ran out of the fuel, supplies and reinforcements needed to maintain the momentum of their offensive.
Instead of executing a viable military strategy, Ukraine’s military is being asked to perform a political charade to satisfy Western expectations. Whatever success Ukraine achieves in the initial phase of its counter offensive, it lacks the depth in terms of reserves and materiel to sustain an attack. This is not a desperate gamble. This is forced suicide.
For whom? Certainly not for the likes of Lloyd Austin and the Raytheon board of directors. They’ll make more money the more equipment is sent to Ukranazistan to “achieve victory”.
Not for Elensky and his cabal, who get the opportunity to steal more the longer this goes on.
Who else on the nazi side matters? Nobody. The working class conscripts slaughtered in suicide offensives are of no concern to NATO or Elensky. The nazi units are only of importance in so far as they can be motivated by racial and ideological hatred to attack Russia instead of couping Elensky. Neither they nor the conscripts are going to benefit even from a Ukranazi “victory”, let alone the disaster that’s coming.
Like Ernie Pyle, I’m concerned for the soldiers being sacrificed needlessly.
Assised fratricide – would be the appropriate term.
It is Schwabians killing Prussians, Iowans killing Ohioans – in the interest of the the (((noodlemans))).
`cos tikkun olam.
They speak about this openly. What is so complicated here?
That is one issue. Human lives don’t matter at all to the decision-makers. But from a military point of view, the other question is: “Why do such a senseless thing?”. I can’t imagine the West sending so many people to their deaths just for PR and for profit. You don’t win a war with PR alone. And the failure of Western military technology is damaging to business.
One can only speculate. Are the Ukrainian victims supposed to give the West reason to do anything in particular? At least in the psychotic brains of the West?
The old satanic, hegemonistic, and strategic goal of the USA, and now NATO, to smash Russia and to plunder the Siberian mineral resources will lead to the downfall of the USA/ NATO.
NATO is but an extension of an US empire in free fall
It is not senseless if the goal is the destruction of #Christendom.
Sure, it would be better for the neocons if the Uke’s destroyed Russians, but barring that , the Uke’s being destroyed is a win for the evil ones.
FUSA has taken sides, and it is not on the side of #Christendom.
It’s not about destruction of #Christendom, but about the destruction of Orthodox Christianity. Even Pope can confirm that. Not to mention all those Bible-thumping Muricans that were gleefully supplying C-4 for that purpose all this time (in the Balkans, and Middle East, and Northern Africa). One of the US politicians even said it in public, that the real enemy is Othodoxy. I’ve seen the video, but can’t find it right now, because I forgot the name of the bastard.
Original aim was to conquer the Heartland and control the World Island (see: NS2, keep Germans down; Germany still occupied).
Secondary aim is to seize resources: oil, coal, grainfields (see: Blackrock, Monsanto). This requires genocide/ethnic cleansing of current occupants. Burisma was hoping for this also.
If resources cannot be taken by force, they can be taken by lawfare. Hence Lend Lease, ?signed by Z?, putting Ukraine on the bar bill hook for all US costs and “contributions”.
It’s loansharking on a planetary scale. Every price-marked-up Patriot that Ukraine destroys is another county’s-worth of grainfields they owe US in the future.
Fertilized by US bloodmeal soil-enrichment program.
Nemanja,
All wars have many faces and especially the part of the civil war full of hatred where one part tries to hit the other in every way. Including in faith even when they practice the same faith. But the conflict in Ukraine is not a religious conflict. It’s not even Ukraine’s conflict. What is at stake in Ukraine is an existential war for Russia and an economic war for the US. A war for hegemony. And Biden immediately warned what was coming when the first promise he made after the election was that China would not exceed the US in its shift! I also think that there is a lot of racism in Russophobia but overall it is not about any race war either. The US today simply cannot live with the idea of not being number one and dominating the whole world. Where Russia was also supposed to continue under the dictates of the US as with Yeltsin. Which has cost many lives in recent years. Including Serbia to isolate Russia but it was also the first big energy war. The most expensive US overseas base since Vietnam in Camp Bondsteel owes its birth to vital energy corridors such as the Central Asian pipelines and Caspian oil, notably the large investment in the Trans-Balkan pipeline (AMBO). And the region will warm up again in the coming months.

@Paulo Guerra
I’m not trying to deny any of that, but add an important aspect that often goes unnoticed. Orthodoxy is incompatible with “western values”, and has to be destroyed in order to colonize/enslave/destroy Slavs completly (and take oil, land, etc.). Efforts towards that have been going on for centuries. It is not talked about in the West because almost everyone there approves it, either loudly or silently.
I am saying all of this as an atheist of Orthodox heritage. Church that I have been baptized as a baby, may or may have not been destroyed in the meantime, in the name of “western values”. Orthodoxy is not just faith in some “invisible man on the sky”, but much more. It’s a non non-materialistic life philosophy, and a set of traditional values than include solidarity and a societal organization with a family at its core. All those values are older than Christianity itself, and have shaped “original Christianity” into what we have now (just like western values have shaped same “original Christianity” into whatever it became now in the west). This is cultural war, in addition to material aspects of it. Slavs were supposed to share destiny of Native Americans, but there is something in the way:

Have been asking myself the same “Why” questions, especially when you put the Ukraine war in context with all the additional catastrophe’s happening on the world ie; .pandemics, economics, food supplies,Moral decay.
I just started reading” The Fourth Reich ‘ – by author Jim Marr, a noted historical who manipulates who research author ( my descriptor). Just the introduction provided the answer about the WHY, the additional chapters are the fine details of where we are headed!
You nailed it Larry. How ironic. On Memorial Day we were supposed to remember sacrifice. Some sacrifice has meaning. There is not meaning in the needless sacrifice of thousands of people, military and civilian. For what? Pride? Certainly. But as you point out greed especially. So Lloyd Austin can buy a new summer home? . So the Raytheon board can vote themselves a pay raise? So Joe Biden can get a new face lift? So Gen. Brown can get a cushy job with General Dynamics in the near future? And Zelly can buy yet another mansion in Beverley Hills?
Hopefully there will be enough Ukie troops left to strung Zelly up.
Hopefully Zelly can’t escape Ukraine and there will be some Ukrainian Conscripts left to string Zelly up.
Brandon will be gone in January of 2025, and Austin, Blinken, Nuland, Sullivan et al, will go back to collecting cushy checks from their lobbyist/consultant/hedge fund gigs, while their victims rot in their graves.
We are all, but “what is Russia to do” is the perspective I like to keep. I’m sure the Russians don’t even like killing non-Nazi Ukie conscripts, at least the hope that they wouldn’t be *too* rebellious to Russia after the SMO is over.
But truly, this is all the West’s fault for forcing NATO up to Russia’s front porch, no matter how many times they were warned.
And we can figure out that the West will give Russia no other choice than to have to eventually take over ALL of Ukraine (except the portions they give to Poland or Hungary if they’re feeling generous)… and maybe Transnistria too if NATO gets uppity.
So in the long run from Russia’s perspective, the fewer Nazi or regime-oriented males that are left, the easier it will be to rule over those who remain. And if other conscripted Ukies are “just following orders” to kill Russians in the meantime, sadly they too might have to be killed.
Most normal people DO hate all the death, but truly, what choice does Russia have… other than to let the West run them over ? None. All this sadness and death was started by the US, and they will reap the whirlwind from it, even as they are now. It’s actually hard to believe how far down the US has come in such a short period of time, with plenty more room to fall, sadly.
(As always, LJ, thanks for you always thought-provoking articles !)
You’ve summed up the matter quite well: What exactly was/is Russia supposed to do, forgo protecting its national interests entirely? Submit to the tender mercies of dimwit ideological bimbos like Nuland and Baerbock? I go further than asserting Putin had no other choice but invasion available to him in Feb 2022; I believe he had a positive obligation to do so given the preceding actions, the many broken promises, official agreements, and understandings by NATO. anything less would have constituted a serious dereliction of duty.
“West will give Russia no other choice than to have to eventually take over ALL of Ukraine…”
I was hoping for a truncated version of Ukraine, dividing the Ukrainian & Russian speakers, to prevent a recurrence of hostilities.
The new country would not be called Ukraine (too many bad memories) but “NULAND”, which is more forward sounding and hopeful, like the “New World”.
In addition many old names would be retired; Kiev would be renamed Biden and the Dnieper would be renamed Blinken.
This would give the Western press an advantage in case of any future Russian aggression, as they could write headlines like: “Russians cross Blinken, to attack Biden, putting pressure on Nuland.” …drawing the ire of many Americans.
The world has a long history of naming countries after the founders, which should not be forgotten. IMHO
Transnistria have been waiting for a while, and Gagauzia have shown interest too. US controlled Moldovan politicians are itching for a beating.
I used to worry about and pity such (misused) soldiers and the like, but later I recognized that most of them are destined to do so because most of them bring their own wickedness to serve the wicked. There is enough information for us and all of them.
This has been my main concern from start.
The West really doesn’t care about the Ukrainians. From the most left wing to the most right wing on the political .
They approach this as a video game. Think of the mothers girlfriends and relatives of all those young Ukrainians.
I think Lindsay Graham actually said the quiet part out loud. We want to kill Mongols, sorry I meant to say Russians but lack the guts to do it ourselves, so we have enlisted a bunch of Nazi’s to do it for us. If they get killed in the process so be it.
It is so cynical and morally despicable
After the Ukra. Nazis pass away, their cowardly patrons will experience the same. I assure you.
Tim, do you think limp wristed Lindsay Graham is on the right? Most people on the right are against “invade the world/invite the world”. Neocons are buddy buddy with the left. They came from there and only shifted to the conservative label with the whole refusenik movement.
Alex the left hates Russia the right hates China it is a uni party. Look at our history both parties live for war if Trump wins or any other R we pivot to China. 1984
The whole system is run by the corporate state thank to raygun and billy boy
Leaders of The West don’t care about their own people. Foreigners are almost like cattle being sent to slaughterhouse. Almost, because there are efforts for improvement of treatment of cattle. I guess wars are considered vegan.
As Kissinger stated (‘military men etc…are just a bunch of stupid animals to be used as pawns.’..)
this seems to be generally how the likes of Jewlensky, Victoria Jewland, Blinken, the head of CDC etc look at the rest of us
it’s foundation of their individual and ‘cultural’ pathology/psychopathy
The introduction to author Jim Marr’s ” The Fourth Reich ” puts the entire current World disorder in context IMOH.
I’ve read his prior books, just got around to starting this one – boy, it totally answered the Why…history truly does repeat!
The Fourth Reich and the Fourth Internationale seem to have kissed and made up.
Uh oh. If accurate, better buckle up. Rough road ahead.
Sources in Kiev said that as a result of a strike on a military facility on Rybalsky Island, one of the control centers was hit. With the beginning of the air raid, the personnel of the center descended into the shelter, but the Russian Aerospace Forces used a missile with a penetrating warhead, which pierced through the building, penetrated the foundation and exploded, destroying the shelter, where at that moment there were up to a hundred officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilian personnel, including twenty foreign military from the USA and Great Britain, who interacted between the Center and similar Western headquarters. A rescue operation was immediately launched. Its results are unknown, but, according to the call center of the Kiev “Ambulance”, more than ten cars were immediately pulled there and about thirty flights were made. On the same evening, two helicopters urgently took off from Kiev towards the border with Poland.
Well it gets hot in the kitchen.
Forced suicide for the combatants and civilians who die, resulting from Ukraine’s forced suicide counteroffensive.
Now some there are saying it’ll be a late summer offensive. Can’t attack until the F-16s arrive.
Wonder what’ll be left by then.
Wonder what’ll be left after they arrive.
So many wonders to behold in Wonderland.
I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Ukrainian Nazis (and Zelensky’s race) like to send Russian and other minorities (including Hungarians) to the front line, i.e. to certain death ! Of course, this does not excite the citizens of the USA in the least, I have not yet seen a demonstration anywhere in the USA so that the Ukrainian minorities were not sent to the front line by the Nazis ! I’ll stick that metaphor in my mouth a little more, the Nazis supported by the USA, isn’t it strange ? Although, from time to time, it turns out that the USA supported it, and maybe even created ISIS and countless other murderous organizations ! Is it still vivid in my memory how ISIS wore beautiful uniforms and marched in a sea of identical white color Toyota SUVs ? Can I remember who was the lucky Toyota dealer who was assigned to deliver the sea of off-road vehicles ? You didn’t receive a sanction from the US government, did you ? 🙂
Ukie offensive is all hat and no cattle.
Actually there is no NATO member with experience of this kind of warfare on a 1000km front. They cannot train soldiers to fight wars the instructors have never fought.
They are learning basics – very basics – and in U.K. are using AK firearms because they cannot clean weapons sufficiently to keep NATO small arms functional.
They are learning close combat or counter-insurgence type stuff Not trench warfare or dodge-the-drone or avoid Whizzbangs
These soldiers are being prepped as small unit abandoned by officers type of clusters with firefly life-expectancy.
No forces in Scandinavia or Canada have real exposure and U.K. has never deployed major forces since 1983 in Falklands which was really a naval expeditionary force
Not even Germany with its deskbound generals has the experience of Manstein and even that would be irrelevant in Russian shape-morphing military organisation from BRG to Division structures and forces like Chechens and Wagner snd Russian Airborne is much heavier armed than in NATO
It is tokenism and a way to embed a few more NATO soldiers into Ukrainian units – I wonder how roll-call works in the Britidh Army with all those „training accidents“ on secondment ?
Ukrainian mechanized troops will not need any maintenance. They will most likely head out to the front and will be destroyed there at first sight.
I don’t think the west is counting on any miracles anymore. They do the offensive just to spite the Russians and make them kill more Ukrainians. Why? Because they can.
They insist that Russia has to withdraw and all that other baloney because they know those utter insane and mostly idiotic conditions will never materialize and they are meant for the sheep at home to make them believe the west or Ukraine is in some sort of a position of power. Utter nonsense to support their narrative of “we are wining” and therefore we make the rules.
By now Russia has ran out of missiles a year ago and Ukraine has retaken Crimea and the other parts. That was the BS prediction from last year. Now they fantasize about some counter-offensive that will never happen, like everything else they had their delusions about. Ukraine is a huge pain in the ass for the US and the EU. Let them idiots pay for that broken country. That will hurt them more than the total defeat they faced long time ago. Ukraine lost, the west just hasn’t accepted it and is pretending otherwise. It means they somehow need that conflict to drag on, even if they have to pay for it dearly and see one defeat after another.
Wrong – Simplicus reports that most of the Strykers are non-functional and need maintenance if they are to actually get out of the door. I place high value on this point as it is consistent with the recent German Puma fiasco (see link below), where a division could not be fielded, and other readiness reports that suggest much of NATO hardware is unready for battle without significant maintenance work first. I have also seen low readiness levels for US aircraft – I assume decades of sandstorm damage were never fixed as there are no big kickbacks to the MICC compared to the profit of say a new (useless) Patriot system or more (useless) ATACAMs.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/dec/19/germany-pauses-buying-puma-tanks-after-mass-breakdown
Most expensive health care system and worst outcomes… US
Most expensive military system and ……
Thanks Larry!
I’m not talking about the crappy equipment they get. If so, the Ukies are being screwed by their supporters and that is a whole another story.
“They do the offensive just to spite the Russians and make them kill more Ukrainians. Why? Because they can.”
No.
It is a “strategy”of preparing future opportunities of divide and rule facilitated in hope of mutating the amalga/emphases of previous methods of control from occupation/coercion/direct rule into nodal control in areas such as finance as has been the case with “The United States of America” since the 1900’s, emulated by “The British Empire”, “The French Empire, and “The Portuguese Empire” in various degrees since “1943/1947 rendering through time their further integration into “The United States of America”
The western cabal was trying to weaken Russia, it was not even a secret. Best case scenario was even to find military weaknesses and use them to even destroy/take over Russia. They miscalculated hugely and now they double down, wasting more lives because it just the dumb “Ukies” and they are pretty expendable. The west tires to run the world, creates their own institutions only they control and forces others to participate in a rigged system that only benefits one side. Every time someone tries to play by their own rules, the west invents some crisis and sends in their armies to break that resistance. Russia is simply not just some county. Russia is capable to destroy the west military, but they don’t want that. A united world will force the west to give up on their long established rigged system … hopefully. Is totally up to the west how this mess will end.
Ukies are just pawns in a game for “who will run the world”. They are being used for western interests and for that because the west can “do it”. The support is not some act of heart, it is a cold-blooded strategy and the Ukies have been brainwashed into that since 2014.
“Ukies are just pawns in a game for “who will run the world”.”
For those believing that they are and will continue to be the one “who will run the world” everyone except themselves have been and remain food sources and human shields.
” it is a cold-blooded strategy”
All strategies attempt to be unemotional since emotion precludes perspective as is the case with those self-deemed to be food sources and human shields.
The opponents laughingly self-designated as “The United States of America” as a function of their purpose of attempting to reduce the velocity of time through coercion of various presentations, believe that they have “a cold-blooded “strategy” fit for purpose primarily as a function of their emotion fear, but de facto they have a self-defeating collection of hopes and wishes, and hence the observation of many practitioners that “The United States of America”, where systemic alienation precludes unity devoid of coercion, are not only agreement incapable, but strategically incapable as a function of their purpose.
Consequently “The United States of America” should be thanked for their services in complicity of their own transcendence, in addition to the merriments derived from observing their practices.
Read today about harvesting organ’s of Ukraine injured. Man can this war get anymore cynical?
At a certain point it becomes clear the government and military of the US want the US to fail. Talk about a domestic enemy, we’d be safer to give our country to Russia then let those in charge continue down this road!
Classic Putin, “no thanks, we got enough trouble”.
…. give our country to Russia …
Excuse me, what country do you want to give to Russia?
If in all honesty, then Ukraine is not needed either – not with money, not without money.
We are forced to take Ukraine in parts in order to move the line of contact.
If the rest of Ukraine is hosted by NATO, training saboteurs and terrorists, then it is more profitable to inflict periodic dagger strikes on decision-making centers than to finance the territory, the Russophobic population and pay debts for Ukraine.
It will not be superfluous to repeat:
Putin’s classic expression: “No thanks, we’ve got enough problems already.”
The uniformity and counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army?
The uniformity of an army you mentioned is undoubtedly very important, but fighting morale is even more important, although even it can be broken under certain circumstances.
For example, even at the beginning of the war, Bosniaks in many places were able to fight back the well-equipped, armed (Bosnian) Serbs commanded by educated army officers, although they had neither uniforms, nor appropriate weapons, nor an appropriate cadre of officers, but in jeans, sneakers, sometimes even with hunting rifles or without rifles; partially led by brave/ resolute persons without any military education.
The problem is not that most Western politicians (who at least have expert advisors) and media, have no experience of serving in a military organization, but the deliberate and malicious dissemination of propaganda by the politicians (and their ultra-rich commanders from the background).
Many U.S. and NATO politicians, as well as high-ranking military officials, have publicly stated, “WE (not the Ukrainians) want to win this war.” For that, they are more than willing to send the last Ukrainian to his death (and also to lose many of their own funds, weapons, and soldiers) just to harm the Russians resp. to smash Russia (and plunder Siberian mineral resources), which is completely futile because the Russians are invincible.
If the Ukrainian (and partly present NATO) armies had something to oppose the Russians, they would not have lost in Bakhmut of an uneducated “buffoon” and “hot dog seller” and his “Wagner-Group” (which, after all, was supported by Putin).
I also post here a text written earlier with the indication of a few sources, which are certainly known to you, but not to all readers:

The Ukrainians are now fighting for a part of their country increasingly owned by Blackrock. If the war ended tomorrow they would find much of their country’s wealth has already been siphoned off via the Lend/Lease Racket.
Ironically, their territory would be far more likely to be preserved by Russia than Western vultures.
You are right.
I’d be hilarious if in response to Blinken’s “spy plane-jet” incident shows need for dialogue China said ‘solve your Ukraine problem first’
They are fighting in order to become slaves. Victory would mean working their lives off, on foreign owned land (or foreign owned factories), for minimal wages, in order to pay debt for all the weaponry they have been sent. This level of brain washing makes sucidal bombers sound reasonable. Some of them actually belive that USA will just forgive them their debts, and give them fair wages. When was the last time USA did that?
Those people in Bosnia and Herzegovina are prototype for Ukraine. They were killing each other because of some western promises of independence and progress and who-knows-what, only to end up as a shithole colony. I wonder how many of them still love NATO/USA/EU.
No, you didn’t get that because some of them also use that excuse.
Both the USA and the EU were against their war and against disintegration into 7 states, not out of love, but because they could control, dominate and manipulate a unified state much easier than the 7 states.
Among the people of Balkan at that time, the old enmities, debts, and hatreds were awakened, excessive nationalism, chauvinism, and the like. That was the main reason.
That was the main reason.
Warren Zimmerman 1992: ‘Well, if you don’t like the EU brokered agreement you signed to stop the war in its tracks, Pres. Izetbegovic, then by all means – tear it up!’
Trouble’s brewing in Serbia over Kosovo.
Should Vucic start a European tour demanding military, financial, political support and sanctions on the aggressor, so Serbia can recover its occupied territory, you know……like what’s his face?
Oh, no…I forgot. The EU can’t sanction itself.
Huh? Why not? It already did with Russian energy and other stuff.
Well, see….that’s the rub.
I have problem following you. Are you saying that USA was against Yugoslav wars? That they did not want to divide and conquer, as empires do? The essence of foreing policy of British Empire was to make locals fight each other, and rule them all with ease. USA Empire has continued doing the same thing all around the world. Hatred in Ukraine was awakend by USA in order to start this war (and excessive nationalism, chauvinism, and the like).
US sought to break up Yugoslavia by goading anti-Serb nationalism and pick up the pieces for NATO, period.
Sure as the sun sets in the West. (hmm, double entendre? Maybe)
Slick Willie, the chaos-monger of the era, could have easily and correctly insisted that Mitrovica stay within Serbian boundaries but why miss an opportunity to maintain justification for a KFOR/NATO presence in perpetuity and leverage future conflict to its ends? Welcome to today.
It is not valid in every geopolitical situation. E.g. “divide and conquer” always applied to Germany and Russia; and the USA & GB always prevented that, because these two countries, especially because of Russian self-awareness (+ German’s technology and Russian’s mineral resources together) … that would have made these two countries too strong for the USA/ GB and not easy to control, dominate, colonize.
Small YU republics are dwarfs. It would be easier to impose the will of the USA/GB on a unified Yugoslavia than on 7 small sovereign republics, some of which tend to Russia, others to the West.
So, the USA can also dominate the EU more easily, with from them installed von der Leyen, Borrell, Baerbock & Co. than 30 sovereign states/ governments, which have different tendencies/ inclinations/ interests.
To make ONE negotiating partner obedient costs less money, time, and energy than 30 different ones.
You use collective term for EU and USA as if they are not consisted of elites which have various individuals with differing ideas. There obviously existed several views on what to do with Yugoslavia even within USA and Germany itself. In january 1991 and in january 1992 situation was enormously different in so many aspects (not least of which in the fact that in january 1991 USSR still existed). Also do not listen just to what they said in those times (of course they would publically give conciliatory remarks) but what they did. Here’s my theory how it went down
I commented somewhere so I might as well translate it here because I have seen a similar comment before. It connects Geopolitics of UKUS vs Germany, USSR and Russia but also Yugoslavia:
(as reply to some comment saying how small countries are utterly at the mercy of Great powers)…
Even some of the big countries are assambled and dissasembled and are led to do stupid things once again by wish of other Greater powers. Germans are one example though they have dug their grave mostly on their own with just a little bit of nudging from the side. They have contributed considerably to the fact that alliance with Russia and connection of high technology and vast industry and resources never materialised even though it would have benefited both.
Whenever they raised their heads they were smacked. I even have a theory that British-American interference in the Balkans during 1990s and later expansion of EU and NATO towards the east might have been aimed more against the Germans than against Russia, or at least in equal measure. Especially once it was noticed that newly united Germany can gain as puppet states nearly entire Eastern Europe. In the early 1990s German economic influence on that transitional region was the main one, and deutchmark was a de facto reserve currency in nearly all of those countries.
In Slovenia and Croatia Germans had decisive influence on their seccession in 1991, funneling of weapons into them via Hungary and rapid recognition and squashing of any kind of compromise solution. Through them German sphere expanded onto the Adriatic and they were well on the way
to in revanchistic crusade become a major power and nearly renew their sphere of influence from the time of Reich. They succeeded in this because during 1991 UK-US empire was focused on ensuring USSR fallout „going how it should“ according to them.
However, once that was done they immediately noticed what Germans were doing. It can be seen in the fact that suddenly they put all their resources into war in Bosnia going ahead so there would be a need for their pressence. While during 1991 USA called multiple times for restraint and recognized Croatia and Slovenia relatively lately, for Bosnia they were in a hurry even when others suggested caution and there was a functional peace treaty signed in early 1992 that pre-empted the war. US ambassador Zimmerman practically crushed that peace deal by one call to Alija Izetbegović who retracted his signature and ensured war.
One can be seen that there were two competing concepts on who to use for restraining german influence. One was to work via some kind of rump Yugoslavia for which the tracks were set up in advance (organization of Federal Republic Yugoslavia in the end turned out to be weird, grotesque even with only Serbia and Montenegro inside, however with another 2 republics it would have made some sense) and they have sent that Panić guy to be the prime-minister which is a similar thing they did in much of Eastern Europe, sending a diaspora member from America.
What in the end turned them to support Muslims in the end was the fact that they needed to wash out a bit the media image about themselves in the islamic world after attack on Iraq, because muslims were crucially important for further planned weakening of Russia. Another aim was that from the inside through takeover of aid and training of Croat army even Croatia would be taken away from the hands of Germans. By direct interventions in 1995 and 1999 against the Serbs Americans and British got open millitary pressence and took over undoubtedly the main role in the region.
As for the Germans another lever of power was knocked out of their hands by introduction of euro which they no longer controlled on their own, then through various reforms of EU and their further expansions their voice meant less and less and they couldn’t reach many decisions independently because smaller countries now more tied to oversea empire could outvote them. In same way by inducting eastern-european countries into NATO practically all of them got a new master, while without american meddling they would have likely been under primary influence of Germans. In contrast to that today Poland and Romania and although not in NATO, Ukraine also are used to cut any sort of ties between Germany and Russia.
Some of this diversity existed before, but is slowly being completely wiped out.
The New World Order is created and dictated/imposed by the dark circles from the shadows/background: Rockefeller’s, Rothischild’s, new-rich & Co. who have taken power over UNO, WHO, WEF, IMF, World Bank etc.
You can read here https://stopworldcontrol.com/ how they want to uniformize this whole world and bring it under their “satanic” rule.
Haven’t you already noticed that the EU is a USA colony and slavishly serves only its hegemonistic interests?
(Apart from only two presidents of two EU states)

NATO must have addressed the problem of synchronising their forces so they can get everybody singing from the same song sheet. Or have they.
Is it an issue NATO have successfully overcome. I’m starting to see more than just an inability for NATO to manufacture cannon shells in the right quantities.

Good Morning All
Yes, VERY SAD that Russians are forced to kill many of their 1st Cousins. But that is 1 objective of the De-Populationists. Not only do war criminals like LG, VN, & HRC need to be brought to justice, but their masters, Schwab, Soros, Gates, et.al. as well.
That being said, once we rid ourselves of this pestilence in the USA, one thing is clear: mandatory firearms and military training beginning in High School for American Citizens. Haven’t made up my mind about non-citizen children of LEGAL permanent resident aliens.
In any case, NO Post-Secondary Education for ANYONE, until they have completed a REQUIRED period of National Service. Suggested Reporting Date: August 1st following either HS graduation or 18th birthday (we have to accommodate the inevitable HS drop-outs). All of us need to live in a barracks ( or forecastle) and eat “Shit on Shingles” – builds character.
First 6 months would be mandatory military training, Boot Camp for Everyone. Then 2 to 2-1/2 years of assignment, random selection (not really, children of celebrities, rich folks, & politicians would be assigned the worst jobs to humble them – well, their parents really!). The only way out of being assigned to a federal or state agency would be to join a branch of military service at LOWEST possible rank, with no chance of promotion during the mandatory service period. All living arrangements including food and clothing would be communal and uniform. None of this parking my Benz on campus crap! The idea is to build esprit-de-corps and empathy among Americans from different parts of the nation and defuse the identity politics imposed on us by our adversaries.
After work, classes on Theory of American Constitutional Republic (Judge Neapolitan in charge of this), federalism, inherent sovereignty of the individual, meritocracy, and free-market economics. Develop in each of our children a distaste for socialism, crony-capitalism, and the banksters. Recall the writings of Jefferson and Jackson on the topic of banking.
Aside from properly educating our young, the Great Benefit would be the inexorable removal from our humanities faculties of the totalitarian marxists who currently populate academia. Think about it.
Well, at least you are honest and forth right about your dictatorial impulses and intentions. But you are also a hypocrite: “inherent sovereignty” of the individual, my ass.
Deny him his rights, he’ll seek to deny you yours in return.
That’s not hypocrisy. That’s revenge, dude.
Yup.
Ol`Heinlein had some based ideas – and some, that are not so based…
Let the hunger games commence.
“mandatory military service” – to serve at the whim of people like of Jake Sullivan, Victoria Nuland and the geriatric puppet Joe Biden or the marxist Barack Obama?
F*** No!
You guys don’t get it
As Benjamin Franklin wisely observed, “We must all hang together, or surely we will all hang separately.”
What I hear from y’all is a lack of political courage. You spend your words complaining about our government, how the elections are all rigged (which they are), about the evil WEF/Davos people, yet you remain content to sit there locked in your basements while Dylan Mulvaney shills piss water.
Independence and Liberty REQUIRE Civic Virtue
BTW, the LAST thing I want is to rule over anyone. I’m an old man and will soon slip this mortal coil, so WTF, it really doesn’t matter to me
Well, your comments illustrate exactly HOW our enemies have destroyed us. Watch Dan Bongino’s podcast of 5/31. He shows a clip of some academic at Univ of Cincinnati. You geniuses sure fit this Woke puke’s stereotype.
Bottom line, you want a lot, give a little. Or are you afraid of your fellow Americans? Guys like you can’t take our country back, you don’t have the self-discipline
This war didnt start on this earth its been raging since the great plan of salvation was put fwd by God the Father in our pre-mortal reality, our mortals great adversary satan does not take prisoners. And more than physical death he wants you dead spiritually. Think about it all those who desire the death of a fellow human are indeed already spiritually dead. The results of the war in heaven cost give or take a third of the hosts of heaven, they lost the opportunity of earth life and a body, to fail in this life will cost the opportunity to live in the coming millenium of peace. There will be a rightful king on earth in that time His name is Jesus Christ. Don’t be distracted by all the grand deceptions that our adversary has been using from the beginning. Love wins in the end, it is better to die with a heart full of love than to have died already from hate. Our existance is more than this life, even president Putin acknowledges this truth. God knows the end from the beginning and He is not a loser, he intends to save the vast majority of mankind, we may inherit different gradients of salvation depending on our efforts at righteousness. Live accordingly.

Translation:
Larry, you’re being silly. Every kilometer gained by the Ukrainians in their offensive is of strategic importance. Are you already preparing your readers for the next defeat of the Russians and retreat to the positions seen from above? Stop writing to strengthen Russian hearts and the hearts of U.S. conservatives and be serious. Already the Russians were beaten in the Kharkiv region, in Kherson. The Ukrainians are firing on Moscow. Don’t write nonsense
I think he’s becoming increasingly panicked over the notion that bona fide American conservatives share far too many societal values with Russia for comfort.
Then when he delves a bit further into his panic-induced subconcious, he realizes that Poland’s majority too, along with Hungary – share the same societal values. Then the brain goes into hyperdrive trying to square that notion with how the US has promised Poland all the means to be the new European honcho on the block….as long as it remains its premiere chip off the new American wokeman’s block.
Such cognitive dissonance has driven entire nations mad and embarking on unintended self-destruction throughout history. Will Poland be next? Could even be the US first out of the gate, for all we know.
Too verbose? Yeah OK, nobody’s perfect.
I don’t think he is smoking anything. He is just inhaling the BS he gets on the Polish government media.
Poland wants to be America’s favorite vassal.

“Alas, poor Kasimir! I knew him once. ’tis true he’s always been a dunce.”
Oh shut off the television!
I just learned that the UkroNazis are committing brigades from the counter offensive force to plug holes in the line.
I believe Russia will continue to put enormous pressure on Ukie front line forces and to kill same on a daily basis to the point the Ukies must reinforce or with draw…
The Chechens have just received orders to the Donetsk Front.
Dima speculates the axis of the Russian advance will be WNW from between Marinka and Adeevka.
I also believe the Russians are waiting for the Ukies to commit, during which they will counter attack with some of the ~ 800 tanks assembled near the Oskol River.
INDY
The Russians will effectuate uniformity on Uckies & Nato in the form of mass, quite quiet dead corpses.
There are many ethnic-Russians in areas of Ukraine outside the Donbass. Lots left in the Donbass itself that Ukraine still controls. Knowing the extremely dark outlook of Zelensky’s regime, I bet a lot of the army war fodder they gang-press off the street are ethno-Russians. Imagine being caught in that hellish scenario. No wonder Russia hates to decimate the Ukrainian army. But they have no choice, because faraway evil NATO forces fund Zelensky to kill Russians, with the approval of sociopaths like Lindsey Graham and the Nuland/Kagan coterie, etc etc.
I can see the problem with non-uniform NATO training and equipment Ukraine faces. Good. Give ’em something extra to “worry” about, if they indeed do give a s**t. Their inhuman use of people to die for nothing is evil personified.
Follow the money…..
People who have never actually done anything (other than boss someone around) confuse their imaginations with reality. They never learn because in a position of power, others always pay the price for their combined arrogance & ignorance. So Russians & Ukrainians pay now with their lives, & Euros & Americans will pay a little later when our countries & communities collapse.
And the elite scum will go their merry way, & bully to death some new batch of slaves, doing the one thing they know how to do. Creating Hell on earth.
@Larry.Johnson — You mean,
“Diversity is not our strength”???
Who’da think it?
NATO tried to uniform. I gave them a headache. To put an example : the standard .22 NATO ammunition. The French where using exactly the same caliber with steel cartridge instead of brass one in the FAMAS , NATO rules out steel cartridges and forced all allied to use brass one (made in the emirates …and without quality controls) ; results ? Chamber explosions as brass cartridges didn’t hold pressure as steel ones does…
There is even worse , every tanks use Diesel fuel in NATO … but the US thought it was a great idea to make a tank with a turbine … using jet fuel. Can a turbine use diesel ? Most can, the T80’s one can, but unfortunately not the M1 ones … Then came desert storm with the Arabian sands eating the turbine blades , did the US learned and switched to a diesel M1 then ? No !!! They extended an overpriced maintenance program …
NATO can’t do standardization. First , ‘murica standards don’t works with tight budget and second , none can impose a rational standard to ‘murica .. the thing is deemed to fail.
Follow the money, so far it is very profitable for the deep state, selling arms and taking ownership of what is profitable in Ukraine. They, the deep state, will keep their puppets “Western leaders”, inflaming the situation as much as possible. So dead Ukrainians, nothing significant to them, dead Russians, a profit that satisfies their racist puppets. Does anyone not understand the amount of meat thrown into the grinders? And just seeing what’s left of the cities in the end, just scorched earth, that’s what the Russians are getting. Only when Russia begins to invade the territories that the deep state already takes possession of or is preparing to take, and the supply of weapons begins to become politically unviable, will be the transition from big profit to loss then peace negotiations begin .
Unfortunately, because probably none of us here are members of the Russian Ministry of Defense, we can know only what we are allowed to know by reading or listening to reports issued by it. All we can do is consume those reports, websites like Larry’s that have valuable information, do our own analysis and draw our own conclusions.
Because of past experience, absolutely anything that I read or hear from the West’s MSM (other than the prediction of a solar eclipse) I instinctively assume to be a bald-faced lie and my instinct almost always turns out to be correct. But there is still some value in knowing what the western microscopic percentages want their herds to think, because very often the truth is the exact opposite – for example, when the western MSM claims that what the US is doing at the moment is “spreading freedom and democracy”.
So after 15 months in, the goals of the SMO are still the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. I have to assume that that means that after a successful SMO there will be no Russia-threatening military or, how to put it, “politically active” Nazis living on the part of the earth delineated on a present map of the earth as Ukraine. Is that goal reachable? I think that we will have a pretty good estimate of the likelihood of that happening in a few months.
But most of us have the irresistible urge to speculate on the future of that region. (Call that urge Martyanov’s “Reminiscence of the Future”.) I’m going to stop resisting mine for a bit right now by asking a series of intentionally provocative questions.
Let’s face it, US-imposed obstacles on Russia’s path to reach its two major goals have already appeared, big time, and will no doubt increase as time marches on, leading to greater a greater destuction in/of Ukraine. Will the microscopic percentage of the population that constitutes “Ukraine” even exist within the present land area of Ukraine after the SMO is completed, or will the present “Ukraine” be magically moved to London and be officially recognized by the rest of the West as the government of Ukraine “in exile” (as they dutifully did the ridiculous government of Venezuela “in waiting” with Guaido as its internationally recognized president), and will whatever national government, if any, that remains within the land borders of Ukraine after the SMO be declared “illegitimate” by the West and, thereafter, be subjected to continual regime-change operations with the stated goal of moving the government in exile back into Ukraine, having full sovereign control of the eastern regions and Crimea, “at some point in the future”? Why not? After all, there is a literally infinite amount of money available at the Fed to pay for that quest (as long as someone is willing to buy $1.3 trillion and rising worth of US Treasuries from here to eternity). All it will take to make that quest an ongoing reality is a never-ending supply of mercenaries who will be desperate or brainwashed enough to kill and be killed for that money. But the mercenaries will have to be paid in money that can buy whatever they want. They won’t accept “play” money. How long will/can the USD continue to act as “real” money?
Back to the UK and BM “Rasheed Sanook”. Of course “the UK” can call any group of people living in the UK whatever it wants to call them – for example, the UK’s officially recognized government of Mars “in waiting” (it’d be pretty tough to label it “in exile”). What is important is how many other nations’ microscopic percentages will support the UK’s latest future insanity. How many “in waiting” or “in exile” governments are “the international community” going to tolerate?
Will a nation, a country or a microscopic percentage with the label Ukraine even exist after the SMO? If it doesn’t, Russia’s goal of demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine will either have to be modified to apply to the area of land that used to be labeled Ukraine, or it will have to be modified to apply to the new nation or multiple nations or autonomous regions or protectorates, etc. that come to exist on that area of land. My point in stating things this way is that I believe that what Russia wants is to have the area of land that is now called Ukraine not inhabited by people who are Nazis — people who also do not have a military force capable of threatening Russia, — regardless of the label that is placed on a map of that area of the earth’s surface.
Further, and more problematic, if a large part of what is now labeled “Ukraine” comes to be invaded/occupied/annexed/whatevered by “Poland”, will Russia then demand security guarantees (you know, no Nazis, a non-threatening military presence only) from the microscopic percentage that will then constitute “New Poland”………. or else maybe SMO 2? Will New Poland still be part of NATO and, if so, will the no doubt new and improved government of New Poland then be forced by other NATO members to rein in its new, still-Nazi-leaning population’s irresistible desire to keep shelling Russia-controlled areas from behind a new, much longer (perhaps even Maginot-style!) “line of contact, version 2”, which will then be called a “national border”? Is New Poland going to allow to happen on its newly acquired territory what it is today allowing to happen on Old Poland – US (“NATO”) military bases and a huge build-up of US (“NATO”) military forces?
What, if anything, will the microscopic percentage that constitutes “Russia” have to say about what may soon come to be called a New European Order (NEO)? Is Russia going to allow Poland to simply walk into the western part of Ukraine, plant its flag and declare that “this is Poland”, or is there going to be some kind of “negotiated settlement” between “Russia” and the US (AKA “Poland”) for that region? Negotiations between Russia and the West have gone so well lately that I think that this negotiation will be over and done with very quickly and cleanly, with all parties being very satisfied in the end.
While I’m typing, it’s now obvious, even to stone cold cadavers, that the microscopic percentage of the US population that constitutes “the US” is willing to fight the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to the death ………………….…………of every living Ukrainian, Pole, Fin, Dane, Swede, German, Italian, Frenchman, Turk, etc.. If all of these stupid, suicidal US dominoes eventually fall and Russia and China still stand tall, what rabbit will the magician US then pull out of its hat?
Oh,… these irresistible reminiscences of the future!
While I’m typing, if I were Mr. Putin today, I’d be issuing strong advice to the people living in Kiev, Odessa and other large cities in USA-East to, for their own self-preservation, immediately move themselves to locations outside of USA-East. No doubt “European”, Canadian, Australian, American, etc. leaders would welcome with open arms many more millions of Ukrainian immigrants.
Larry,
The equipment issue is absolutely a problem.
But there communications/coordination: isn’t that exactly what “NATO standard” is supposed to address?
And if, in addition, the training is for the hodgepodge of weapons – i.e. UK training for UK equipped brigade, Dutch training for Dutch equipped brigade, etc is the equipment issue lessened? Note this absolutely does not address the logistics problems but these are separate from skill of use problems.
Will “denazification” require “taking over” all of Ukraine and maybe some adjacent terrain, Finland and other “borderlands?” Pretty clear that the Nationalist disease already infects a lot of the West, and like shingles, the virus erupts painfully when resistance is low.
For Russia, at what point does the Russian Army cross that “bridge too far,” find its political economy strained beyond capacity to maintain a decent, homeostatic home nation, in stretching to reach the grand and laudable goals of demilitarization and deNazification, now of the whole of the Combined West, which may or may not fission into fecklessness and impotence? Given that other large structures, the supranational corporations and gatherings of filthy-rich individuals, are always circling with the clear intent to loot the blessings of the Russian continent? Given that the looting impulse, and insatiable greed, seem to be the most potent and durable motivations of human behavior?
Not even Russians know how far they will have to go. They do know that it’s a marathon, and not a sprint. That’s why they are pacing themselves, and keeping their strenght for what is to come.
There are more kinds of “uniforms” than you wear.
The US. In one state, if you perform an abortion? You are a brave woman exercising self-dominion, and we will hold a parade for you and your butchered fetus.
20 yards across the state line? You just committed murder, and you will be arrested.
As a 63-year-old white man in Oklahoma? If you try to car jack me, and I use my beloved Glock 43x to open you like a coconut? I get a brief investigation, there is a short TV spot. And I am home opening a non-Busch beer.
A white man defends himself in Kalifornia, or NYC? You will be arrested. You will be prosecuted. You will be found guilty regardless of the facts.
In one state, you can use any drug. And it is either legal or ignored. In another state, you are in prison.
A large portion of Americans are no longer Americans. “It” is a proud trans “it” of color. With no allegiance to anyone except the doctor that has a lifetime cash cow of pumping hormones and drugs into “it”.
You can call it Balkanization. You can call it disintegration. Entropy. Non uniformity. But we no longer have a cohesive country that can make any mutual decisions. Uniforms. They matter.
Correct.
I was in Montreal yesterday and everyone was speaking French. If that’s what they want to do, great. But I really had the feeling that they were in no way Canadian.
A common language, culture and religion binds a country. Destroy that, and all you have is a collection of people on a land mass.
Thanks for making Ukraine’s repression of language rights legitimate and Canada’s, the EUs, and the US’ lack of same not.
Larry, you wrongly assume the deep-state goal for Ukraine is to “win.” I believe no planner in the West is expecting that.
RATHER – the goal is to use Ukraine to bleed, hobble and extend Russia to the point something breaks, or changes in Russia. Presumably, the purpose is to “outlast” Putin and hope for his death, or a coup.
Once Ukraine’s main forces are completely destroyed, the West will move the war to guerrilla-style operations. “Uniformity” is not as relevant for such.
Our system rewards narcissists and psychopaths. Once in power, these misfits become experts at every subject and surround themselves with yesfolk.
Here in Canada, our healthcare is in disarray, ditto our military because we’ve elected a drama teacher and he has appointed as his deputy a Ukrainian woke journalist. We have money for Zelenskyy but not much for our vets…
Chrystia Freeland is a rabid Banderist loon who is not only Deputy PM but also controls the country’s purse strings as Minister of Finance. Her qualifications? Rhodes scholar, WEF young global leader, WEF Board member and author of books about Globalism/Soros. She’s also pals with Vicki Nuland and Hillary… And she attends every pride and woke event she possibly can. Liberal Democracy is in a race to the bottom with people like her making decisions.
Birds of feather need to Flock Off together
Absolutely, while Trudeau may be the Prime Minister, Freeland is running the show, a remote-control puppet of Soros and Schwab.
Because the Trudeau cabal is in a MINORITY position, Singh is the weak point in the WEF triad, and should the NDP grassroots ever wake up to the fact they have been duped AGAIN by Liberal party plants (Rae, Mulcaire), Singh will not be an MP ever again.
The bad part is that Trudeau is not legally obliged to call an election until 2025, unless the NDP backbenchers grow a pair and vote non-confidence with the Cons and the Bloc.
So Trudeau et.al. will continue supporting the US/UK/Rothschild war machine despite any logic or protest to the contrary.
Freeland is no doubt trying to show the world and herself that her ideals are nothing like her nazi grandpa that she denies ever had a mean thought or deed. Yet the more she tries, the closer to grandpa she gets.
Canada, a country run by charlatans. Your southern neighbor welcomes you with open arms.
I’ve only listened to Freelander once. It was with Hillary. Are there no madhouses in Canada?
If one wants to see a ‘uniformed’ and motivated front moving in unison on a clearly defined objective, take a look at: “The Fall of Berlin” (1945), a Soviet documentary following the Red Army as it crosses the Oder River enroute to the Reichstag. Zelensky/Ukraine /Nuland say their objective is the Crimea. What Ukranian offensive imaginable is going to put Sevstapool under seige and destroy Russia’s army. In my opinion, the two things Russia probably wouldn’t want would be to engage in patisan and urban street fighting in Western Ukraine. Had Zelkensky taken a defensive position – this might have forced a ‘stalemate’. As it is now, Ukraine army is getting piece milled. And at this point, an unnecessary tragedy.
She has an impeccable nazi pedigree. Her grandpa was the chief Ukrainian pro-Nazi propagandist.

You can take a Ukrainian out of Ukranaziland but you can never take the ukranazi out of him, her or whatever.
Your hypothesis doesn’t take into account the fact that Ukraine is winning.
And anyone who disagrees with me is a vile putting both who… oh I can’t be bothered to write the rest.
The entire facet of the west seems to be run simply be decree, from people who have no idea how anything actually works. Be that industry, energy, technology etc.
How we (the west) got to be the number one, is that the advancements were made by people who knew and were willing to take a risk.
It’s all just Fiat nowadays.
Have no idea what you’re babbling on about.
Are you Ukrainian? That would explain the babbledebook.
Putin’s immediate reason for striking into Ukraine was the same reason the U.S. gave for invading Libya. The U.S. media (the stenographers of the ruling class)exclaimed that reason the U.S. intervened into Libya was one that was humanitarian. Evidently, the nation was about to start slaughtering a rebellious ethnic minority; according to U.N. bylaws, we were obligated to save them from their fate. Of course, it was B.S.
Putin used the same U.N. bylaw to save ethnic Russian-speakers; in his case, he was actually following the spirit and letter of the law.
People tend to forget the two Minsk agreements agreed to byNATO-backed Ukraine; the agreements would allow the ethnic Russian areas of Ukraine political autonomy. NATO never followed through. Instead, the government in Kyiv continued bombarding the area while still sending in Neo-Nazi militias killing at least 14,000 ethnic Russians.
(We later found out NATO was using Minsk negotiations to build up and arm Ukrainian troops. They were negotiating in bad faith.)
One week before the invasion, the Ukrainian government dramatically stepped up their bombardment of the ethnic Russian’s civilian population. Thus putting this population at severe risk.
Good point. I’d always maintained Kosovo the best analog but Libya – rings true as well. Maybe it’s a boiler plate regime change thing at work.
Crimea is to Ukraine as Slovenia was to Yugoslavia.
Donbass is to Ukraine what Kosovo is to Serbia.
With provisos. Kosovar Albanians repressed Serbs in Kosovo for years before hostilities finally broke out. No such thing ever happened to Ukrainian speakers in Donbass.
And lest we not forget. Clinton ordered Belgrade’s bombing over a few dozen dead at Racak, that they claimed were civilians but the Serbs claimed were KLA combatants and no forensics ever performed. Donbass on the contrary suffered thousands of civilian dead under 8 years of Ukrainian shelling of civilian areas.
NATO, by its own admission, resorted to bombing Yugo’s civilian infrastructure, because they failed to rout their army.
Ukraine did and still does it for the same reasons, in spades. Failure, terrorism and spite.
Even Albright admitted that NATO’s war on Yugoslavia was illegal but ‘in her mind’ necessary. And this was years after Milosevic had agreed to withdraw troops from Kosovo and allow in UN peacekeepers but was refused.
So, the Senate wants to debate bringing war crimes charges against Russia, do they now?
It can never gain traction, since smarter entities than they know that they’ll be dragged over the coals themselves for their ‘illegal wars’. The Middle East and Global South already know that well enough, as their refusal to play along bears witness to. Not even the compromised ICC was willing to fully dance to their tune, agreeing only to some nonsense about removing children from a war zone as a war crime.
Indeed. All the dominoes are lining up and not in the west’s favor.
Basically what Larry says is that Ukraine no longer has an army. Which I completely agree with. But it already had and very well armed and trained! Weapons did not start arriving in Ukraine only in 2022! The weapons pipeline since 2022 informs that Russia destroyed the Ukraine/NATO army in the very first months of the conflict! When western propaganda said that Russia – which annexed 1/5 of Ukraine and more than 50% of its economy right away – had no military power and that Ukraine was decimating Russian forces… I’ll say it again, Ukraine started this conflict 15 months ago super-armed and has never had the same strength since. Both in terms of manpower and hardware, despite some fancy and expensive wunderwaffe. And despite the propaganda, this has been confirmed in Europe by several retired NATO Generals. The few who always denounced that it was the US and UK that provoked the conflict with the millions in weapons that they unloaded in Ukraine after the coup!
And has anyone also seen a nation complain that it is being invaded and not send soldiers to defend the border? I had never seen it! Because NATO is the real invader of Ukraine. And 80% of Ukrainians never wanted to join NATO before the coup according to NATO documents. Page 32:
https://www.nato-pa.int/document/2011-172-cdsdg-11-e-rev1-ukraine-malan-report
That said, its not Ukraine that has failed the most in the US plan. Kiev was especially important in the first act of the plan. To provoke Russia into war. Like in those movies where the main character loses strength throughout the film. Although we remain very focused on the theater of operations in Ukraine, where I no longer expect anything very relevant from Kiev’s forces, the most important part of the film already takes place outside Ukraine. Where the protagonist is already Budanov, who started almost as an extra. Washington has never attributed to Ukraine more than 10% of the protagonism for regime change in Moscow that it always wanted and the Ukrainian soldiers, more or less, are doing exactly what was asked of them. Die for the US. And kill as many ruskies as possible. As we saw it in the eyes of Graham’s psychopathic faggot. The US never thought that Ukraine could beat Russia in a war. What totally failed in the US plan were the economic sanctions with which they estimated to bring down the gas pump in a week. A failure of US intelligence with many faces. On the power of influence of the US and on the economic power and influence of Russia.
Weapons did not start arriving in Ukraine only in 2022!
Plenty of weapons arrived in Ukraine prior to 2022, both covertly and overtly, while they played the Minsk shams for all they were worth.

Isn’t the contemporary ‘Garden Eden’ taken care of by a technical capable, motherly feeling, multi-ethnical civilization with a ‘flame-sword, to become now worldwide ‘worked and taken care of?’

Ironic, but the Nazi logistics people were asked by Halder the chief of staff about the logistic issues of invading the Soviet Union. The logistians came back and said they could not supply the German army beyond 500 miles roughly, after which no ammo, fuel, or spare parts. Jonathan M. House says as far as he knows, the logistics people never spoke to Hitler and apparently neither did Halder tell Hitler. House said the logistics people were amazingly prescient. It seems NATO/US is simply repeating the mistakes of the Nazi high command. One of the best voices detailing the logistical issues for NATO/US in Ukraine has been Brian of TheNewAtlas.
It is simple logistics. Russia is there. They just throw some shit on a train. And it is there. And our rocket scientists are getting ready to replicate this debacle in Taiwan. Which is right next to fucking China. Even if we had a functional military and non-corrupt procurement system? You ain’t beating Russia in a land war. Ask Hitler and Napolean. And while the Chinese military is largely a joke of an Iron Rice Bowl system that would give the Pentagon a run for its money on corruption? It is right next door. You ain’t beating China on Taiwan.
Christ. I was only a E-5. I can understand this.
He fella….you might have “only been an E-5” but …
Even you MUST understand that good logistics is the key to winning a war. It’s that simple …
From Bullets Bombs Batteries Water Fuel Bandages & Beans right up to a country actually increasing its military manufacturing capacity within a very short period to not only keep pace with current expenditure – but to keep stocks of all battle winning natures topped up for the “next war”.
That is one of the KEY cornerstones to the Russian SMO in the Ukraine.
And be in NO DOUBT – despite what we were told whilst we drank our beer from the glass with a shilling in the bottom, the Russians have ALWAYS overmatched us in massed artillery, long range guided & unguided weapons & they have always been far ahead of us in the R&D & deployment of EW equipments across the entire EW/ Visual/ Aural spectrum….reason?
Because for the last 35 years or so we’ve been been cutting about in Russias supposedly “soft underbelly” transmitting with everything we have & they have been listening intently.
Nobody with big stars or stripes ever took a second to think about it.
Well…a few of us down the food chain would often sit around the fire pit at night in some godforsaken FOB (of absolutely no tactical or strategic significance) & remark about it.
I’m very sorry, but if you think the PLA is simply “a joke of an Iron Rice Bowl” then you’ve learned nothing either whilst you were in the Service, whilst you’ve been here or whilst you’ve been watching global events.
One look at a small scale map of China, the S China Sea, Taiwan & its proximity to the major landmasses nearby tells you all you need to know about how any FUKUS designs on Taiwan will end.
The Chinese are, just like their Russian partners, if anything, very long term thinkers, strategists & planners, unlike our sub optimal Military & Political midgets.
From a retired E-8 Door Kicker who was once at the Tip of the Spear.
The Chinese will surprise all who think they aren’t up to it.
China is not the same country that endured 100 years of humiliation due to their lack of military prowess and lack of centralised organisation.
So let’s just pretend for a minute that they are only 80% compared to the militaries of the ‘west’.
They will make the difference up (and more) with huge numbers of men (if needed they can equip millions), missiles, aircraft, and ships. And they have nukes too.
Larry makes a moot point here about uniformity & the interoperability of equipment from various manufacturers from across NATO.
I can say, with fairly certain conviction, that neither a “vanilla” M1 A1 Abrams, a Leopard 1 A(?) nor a Challenger 2 when fitted with their organic, original radio communications equipment, inside the vehicle electrical harness will be unable to communicate with each other.
The logistical nightmare of sourcing a suitable “off the shelf” secure, radio communications suite that will some how shoehorn into all 3 of these tanks & their pre existing electrical wiring systems would be very problematic.
Just the connection sockets alone – an absolute nightmare.
Don’t be surprised if you see tanks driving about with radios stuffed into day sacks on turret roofs, separated from the internal crew communications systems.
That makes “fighting the tanks” even harder”
I’ve seen situations like this before on real combined FUKUS Operations in Central Asia when we have been unable to talk to each other long ago & it was a clusterfuck back then.
But hey? What would I know?
Per Terram
Possibly the west views Ukrainians as Russians and a dead Ukrainian is one less Russian to fight later

All the Money & all the Weapons All the Weapons & All the Money of this world cannot prevent the final + worldwide destruction of all Fascists/ Nazis of the 21st century, incl. NATO & Co.
They will all be destroyed, this time worldwide and forever. Putin, Xi & Co. will settle this soon.
“High number of foreign mercenaries and NATO soldiers, respectively, already fight in Ukraine. See: 2:42 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wur4YRSrwIk
Ukrainian Nazis (and their military potential) were defeated in a few days, now NATO is fighting; apart from soldiers also with money, food, equipment, weapons, ammunition, satellite info etc.

Who controls the NATO? Is it the USA? No. Who does it then?
Both the US and NATO are controlled & directed by the Rockefeller’s, Rothschild’s and their ilk.
They have been joined by the Windsor’s (whose name was Saxe-Coburg; then they renamed themselves in Windsor in 1917, after the name of the building “Windsor Castle” built in the 11th c.) and the like, and many new-rich, who however sit in the second, third & fourth row.
They want to establish the satanic New World Order/ Domination/ Dictatorship over the whole world (through their people in the UNO, WHO, WEF, Bilderberg, IMF, World Bank … & NATO), and dispose of all natural resources (incl. Siberian) alone.
Satans want to rule over all people, incl. toddlers, and use & misuse them for their satanic purposes.

Whom they can buy (from presidents & government members), they buy. Those who don’t let themselves be bought (Putin & the like), they strive to remove or eliminate. Thus, Russia should be smashed.
NATO was founded by the USA in 1949. The USSR wanted to join NATO. When NATO refused, the USSR formed the Warsaw Pact six years later in 1955 – in response to that refusal. (The ideologies were different, but military alliances are another matter).

(The monstrous Stalin was not a Russian, but a Georgian, under whom the Russian people suffered the most & longest.)
Yeltsin and afterward Putin also wanted to lead Russia into NATO.
Putin to Clinton during Clinton’s visit to Moscow in 2000:
“What does America think about Russia joining NATO?”
Clinton’s response was (as Putin expressed it) “let’s say very cautious.”
Putin: “If you don’t want us as friends and allies, why are you making an enemy out of us”? (Putin knew exactly, why, but didn’t get an answer)

For every action the NATO & Co. will be punished accordingly/ severely, so, until their downfall, which Putin, Xi & Co. will bring about – this very year.

All Nazi-Bastards & their collaborators/ supporters (are also Nazi-Bastards who only call themselves something else) will be destroyed.
The Ukrainian Nazi-army and NATO were beaten in Bakhmut even by a “hot dog seller” (without any (military) education), Prigozhin, and his “Wagner Group”.
Why didn’t they keep Bakhmut/ Artyomovsk, the symbol of their resistance?
