But, tragically, the Conference ignored the ‘elephant in the room’ of illegal migration overwhelming cities. However, the Conference had a plenary session addressing domestic violent extremism. So who are the real extremists?
Francis Suarez, Miami’s Mayor, serves as President of the Conference. In May 2022, Suarez participated in WEF’s annual meeting in Davos. He’s a globalist at heart.
Unprecedented Federal Spending
Thanks to Biden spendthrift bills, the cities have blank checks for hundreds of billions to use towards those initiatives. Due to the windfall, they will behave like trust-fund babies funding progressive projects that will result in malinvestment, fraud, waste, and abuse – count on it. Political patronage will be rewarded. In addition, it will be a platform for promoting cultural in-groups.
Treasury’s Equity Advisory Committee
Last fall, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen announced an Advisory Committee on Racial Equity (AKA TACRE) to promote equity justice policies. The Committee’s scope is to “identify, monitor, and review aspects of the domestic economy that have directly and indirectly resulted in unfavorable conditions…for persons of color.” This will have a far-reaching impact on how municipalities deploy Federal grants. The goal is to create a permanent mechanism advancing discrimination to achieve collectivism.
PolicyLink’s CEO Michael McAfee anchors TACRE. PolicyLink, a fanatical nonprofit organization, promotes wealth redistribution and reparations. Partnering with USC Equity Research Institute created the National Equity Atlas model for municipalities to track, measure, and redistribute resources. Mr. McAfee describes the model as “a story platform…and tell narratives.” The concept is an affirmative action contrivance.
At the TACRE launch, panel member Ron Nirenberg, Mayor of San Antonio, boasted (45 sec. clip) the City’s prototype Equity Atlas as the best practice in advancing equity justice. It assigns equity scores by census tracts and then aggregates by districts. Census tracts can earn a favorable score based on the higher percentage of people of color, Spanish as a first language, high illiteracy, and below-median household income. Census tracts with high scores prioritize resource allocations—violating the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and Article 1 of the Texas Constitution.
ICLEI – Local Government for Sustainability
ICLEI (pronounced ick-ly) is a U.N.-sanctioned non-government organization (aka NGO) that helped write Agenda 21. It removed International from its name to mask foreign influence over American local governments. ICLEI provides training and the tools for cities and counties to carry out the local goals of U.N. Agenda 21. Over 600 U.S. municipalities are network members using tax dollars to support ICKEI. Check your city’s website if you are skeptical.
ICLEI promotes high-density urban development. ICLEI member cities use their general funds and infrastructure bonds to fund intercity and downtown projects depriving lower-density residential areas of infrastructure improvements and maintenance. ICLEI’s tactics, circumventing taxpayer approval, include redevelopment financing zones, eminent domain, conservation easements, habitat conservation, and strict zoning regulations. Ordinances eroding personal property rights.
ICLEI announced a six-year plan for sustainable urban development for the next six years, locally and globally. ICLEI designs regulations and policies, which cities implement without the public’s consent.
United Nations Agenda 2030
Agenda 2030 is an international action program for achieving sustainable development (17 goals) during the 21st century. Governments would control all land use for the “community’s good” while eliminating private property owners’ rights. The goal is to restrict human habitation to government-controlled centralized zones. However, “collectivism” is not entitled to individual rights protected under the U.S. Constitution.
The U.N.’s Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR2030) initiative is based on Sustainable Goal 11. There are over 1,485 cities that participate in the program. MCR2030 has stated its goal as follows:
“MCR2030 aims to ensure cities become inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable by 2030, contributing directly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG11) Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable, and other global frameworks including the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Paris Agreement, and the New Urban Agenda.”
Bloomberg’s C40 Initiative
Michael Bloomberg Philanthropies funds the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group initiative, a network of 941 world cities. Like most billionaires, Bloomberg uses his nonprofit as a form of tribute to cultural in-groups to avoid criticism of his pursuit of wealth.
C40 funds campaigns for urgent climate change action rooted in social and justice equity with a path to a zero-carbon future. Radical Mayor of London Sadiq Khan chairs C40.
GARE – Alliance on Race and Equity
The Local and Regional Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) is a pseudo-national organization that provides resources and workshops on racial equity. GARE has never legally organized, requiring the 350+ municipal governments to remit millions in membership dues (tribute) to the radical Race Forward. The lack of GARE financial disclosures raises the issue of how the funds were used. GARE is a puppet of Race Forward used to indoctrinate racial prejudice and promote equity justice within municipal governments.

“Equity justice” is the Neo-Marxist mantra, a euphemism for resource redistribution and reparations. A term not found in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Personal and economic freedom can lead to inequitable outcomes based on an individual’s abilities, intellect, deferred gratification, and motivation. I used to be proud to be a Progressive–a follower of Will Rogers, as expressed in “Bacon, Beans, and Limousines.” I still think that Rogers had it right but where all this other stuff came from I don’t know and I can’t buy into it. I still don’t meet a man I don’t like–but that feeling is subject to change. As to immigrants, I don’t understand why our State Department doesn’t spend less time overthrowing their governments and more time helping them making their countries livable while they are still there–or maybe I do understand.

I don’t understand how the term progressive can have such a negative connotation in the US! It’s actually a paradox. Progress in itself is never a negative thing. With left or right governments as they used to say. Contrary to what happened in America and much of the western world from the 1980s onwards – a real regression in the standard of living – when people were always moving backwards in all matters related to their life! From the loss of rights, to the freezing of wages and the loss of the very stable job that neoliberalism destroyed! Where we are all disposable collaborators! And it’s not worth wasting time with much smaller agendas with which, in my opinion, Americans waste a lot of time and even divide themselves a lot if not on the big issues for everyone’s lives like school, health, housing, employment and pension funds we have an answer or at least we manage to understand each other.

Now I’m even more confused. But where are Marxists and Communists in power in the US? Today or sometime? And if I may be allowed merely as an academic, this association of Marx with communism is profoundly wrong. Marx was appropriated by the Leninist or communist interpretation as they call him in Russia. A revolution that also only lasted 10 years. Stalin is was a nationalist, pure and hard. Marx limited himself to criticizing Industry during the Industrial Revolution when it was basically owned by Messrs. Feudal. All of Marx’s work is perfectly dated on the labor exploitation of the time and all appropriations and extrapolations are the responsibility of those who make them! All matters that have nothing to do with our time! Where even in Europe there are no Marxist or communist parties, let alone in power.

Quite simply, the rules are set for the rich to get very rich and the poor to stay poor. Poor people want to live. If they are thrown out of housing, they find somewhere to live. They move to towns or cities where they won’t starve. Or across borders.

You want the poor and the homeless to stop living on the streets? Make sure that there is affordable housing.

The mayors may be aboard that and similar silliness, but it’s the greedy elites and income inequality, not seen on such a scale since the Depression of the 1930s, that is responsible for most of our problems, because capitalists, the class who hated FDR and the NEW Deal, have been working to undo his reforms, that SAVED capitalism from going to terminal Stage 4 cancer! The repeal of Glass-Steagall was a HUGE mistake!

The mayors have lots of power. Just one form of it is controlling the education systems, which is control of the future. The top elites/Davos have less power than the grass roots. The people are many and Davos are few.
Something I have noticed among the socialists commenting here and elsewhere is that the seem to think that the people have no agency. Like they are just mass herds of stupid sheep easily controlled by some small cabal of conspiratorial all powerful evil geniuses. That is interesting. They never explain exactly how the small cabal manages that, They just know it’s true. I suspect it is because the socialists really don’t believe I power to the people and merely wish that they themselves were running the herd.

Equity is absolutely a Marxist concept by another name.
If class conflict is one of thee most central ideals of Marxism, then Marxism has been defeated. The central conflicts as defined by a group labeled as “liberals” and “progressives” is based on identity. Listen to modern feminists and they see history as nothing more than the subjugation of women and their struggle against patriarchy. CRT sees the central historical issue as white skin against black skin regardless of how many African tribes fueled European slavery. Class conflict? Nowhere to be found. Hillary Clinton is much a victim as Rosa Parks.
The way I see it, it seems to me that all this talk about “equity”, “inclusivism”, etc. it is a narrative construct that the elites at the top need to navigate the huge economic crisis resulting from the actual bursting of the derivatives bubble that has been growing exponentially since before 2008.
The wave of poverty and hunger that this will cause, which would naturally trigger a hunting season in those at the top organizing governments and the economy over the last few decades, those at the top believe they could prevent by offering the masses the goods of the middle-class to share with each other.
Thus, all this talk, together with the recruitment and loyalty of minorities of any kind, is aimed at provoking a sense among these minorities that they have the right to be assigned property belonging to others in exchange for their perpetual vote in favor of those in government who intend to perpetuate themselves there through the demonization and criminalization of any real opposition through self-coups or false flag events….
Just today I was reading the last analysis by The Saker on US elites, and by reading this excerpt on 9/11, made me think of the similarity with our current situation….

Now, they must continue to comply with the criminal mass they entered, to the point of ending their countries through sanctions that mainly affect them and now even risking nuclear vaporization.
The Covid event was necessary to build the consensus for the War against Russia, never in history was there such a consensus in Europe… Obviously, the most corrupt needed to have come to power in previous years to achieve this state of affairs in which we are now…..They infiltrated the entire political spectrum with impostors, so talking today about classic right and left makes little sense….until we clean the environment of real pollution….

Juts caught my attention a book on analysis of this work by Jünger announced in a web on geopolitics I use to read….It has been there for a while, but just today noticed it…I have not read the book yet, but it seems quite interesting…..

“The Ambush is an essay by Ernst Jünger published in 1951. It deals with the question: How do people behave before and during the catastrophe? As a “forest walker”, Jünger describes a person who is mentally independent of the surrounding society and is able to resist if the respective state is or becomes criminal.
The starting point is a consideration of an election conducted in such a way that there is no longer a real alternative and 98 percent approval is achieved. Some of the aspects cited, such as the uniformed poll workers, the state propaganda or the suggestive ballot papers, are reminiscent of fake elections in dictatorships, but Jünger does not explicitly limit the description to such. The two percent of people who vote NO are the would-be walkers in the woods. Literally all power systems do this. There is no state system–none–that is immune from “totalitarian” tendencies. Also, “progressivism” is a broad term. FDR was a progressive. So was Nixon. So was Eisenhower.
I think the author is confusing totalitarian humanism–which is the new elite religion that replaced the dominant cancel culture of the right wing 80s moral majority cult and tipper gore–with progressive economic policy. Dont do that. Wokeism has no relationship to the Left.
