The Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award goes to…

8 March 2023 by Bob Bishop 42 Comments

Each week, the famous 1960s comedy Laugh-In awarded an organization or someone who had earned the wrath and ridicule of the Laugh-In producers based on an outrageous claim or behavior. Sonar-21 has resurrected the award by bestowing it to the New York Times.

It had been over a month since investigative journalist Seymour Hirsch’s in-depth exposé on the U.S. blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines without a response from the Biden Administration. Enter the New York Times, known for its yellow journalism and everlasting support for “deep state” narratives. The Times reported in a non-plausible explanation that a pro-Ukrainian group sabotaged the Nord Stream Pipelines. But, unfortunately, the finger is pointed at the wrong suspects.

“U.S. officials declined to disclose the nature of the intelligence, how it was obtained or any details of the strength of the evidence it contains. They have said that there are no firm conclusions about it, leaving open the possibility that the operation might have been conducted off the books by a proxy force with connections to the Ukrainian government or its security services.”

“Officials who have reviewed the intelligence said they believed the saboteurs were most likely Ukrainian or Russian nationals, or some combination of the two. U.S. officials said no American or British nationals were involved.”

New York Times Column March 7, 2023

The explosion ripped 164 feet of underwater pipeline, hitting four places with over a half-ton of TNT. This requires an extremely sophisticated operation of highly skilled and trained deep-sea divers supported by a submarine or specialized ship. Unfortunately for the Times, Ukraine doesn’t possess the assets to carry out that operation.

Laugh-In had a classic parody exposing the creditability gap of news reporting. The sketch starts with a U.S. destroyer colliding and sinking a Russian fishing boat, injuring fifteen fishermen seventy-five miles off Labrador, Canada. After numerous re-writes, the story is twisted into a Russian submarine ramming a hapless U.S. fishing boat hurting fifteen American fishermen a mile off Boston’s harbor, and concern that Russia could start World War III. The irresponsible New York Times column is ‘life imitating art’ but is not a laughing matter.

    Headlines coming soon:

The ‘Nord Stream’ Truth is out!

It seems that, the Nord Stream was an unfortunate accident. Accordingly to numerous accounts, the night before the destruction, a group challenged a drunk about Nord Stream. The drunkard was agitated in the argument, and got angry, and stomped off saying he would take out the ‘damn thing’.

Multiple witnesses has seen him move towards the sea. Based on official calculations, they believe that he has swam to the Nord Stream and broke the pipes with his bare hands. He did so within 6 hours, and then was swept to a beach, forgetting all that he has done. This is the reason for the lack of information during these months, as it was near untraceable. Without the competence of the CIA, there is no way anyone could have solved this mystery of the ‘Nord Stream’.

I expect that the inquiry will result into Russian nationals who also are Nazi sympathisers as responsible for the destruction of Nord Stream. Some white Rex bloke, former MMA fighter and fashion designer and overt Nazi sympathiser will be made as the connection with the terror attack on the Nord Stream. Correctly interrogated, he’ll be confessing that he is a Russian asset, personally recruited by Putin, to start a war in Ukraine so he can conquer this country and proceed in his deed to rebuild the Soviet Empire.

I do not expect that this story has any connection with reality. I don’t even think it will go out that way. I has several huge advantages for the Western narrative that has me writing it.

First, it makes the Ukrainian government a victim of Nazis. Second, the Nazis in Ukraine are the product of a successful hybrid operation perpetrated by the evil Putin. Their mission, having Ukraine being conquered by Russia, almost killed Ukraine. Third, it explains away the annoying fact of a war action committed by the USA on an ally and put it on the evil character of Putin. Fourth, it reinforce and justify the reigning Russophobia. Fifth, it allows a face-saving way out of the defeat. It has been defeated because internal enemies made it weak. How it was made is yet to be created but I do not worry about that point. As long as the blame is on Russian spies controlled by Putin, it will do. Sixth, it will reinforce the idea that Russia has to be dismantled. It can’t be more than a gas station masquerading as a country. The US allies in Eastern Europe will be confirmed in their position.

These huge advantages have to be taken into consideration before rejecting the crap I wrote in my first paragraph. Since the entire Ukrainian SMO has started the February 24th 2022 and not a second before it, I believe that any incredible crap will do the trick. It worked with the 24th 2022 why not with my crap. The « Pro-Ukrainian Group » thing looks like a starting point of my scenario.

If « anonymous intelligence people » tell my crap to the NYT, I expect it to fly on the front page of it and repeated ad nauseam by the MSM. Think to Rachel Maddow and the Russiagate.

Laugh In and early Saturday Night Live. I was in Oklahoma, and I was drunk at a friend’s house. We were semi-comatose in front of the TV. And this chick came on Saturday Night Live singing. She had glazed eyes and had a skirt on that was exactly even with her privates. I listened to Blondie sing and came to the realization I had to get the fuck out of Oklahoma. There was a whole world out there. There were wild women, and drugs, and scary places. And I joined the US Army. And I found the world. Had some fine times. And did some truly bad things that I will pay for. But fuck it. I enjoyed every bit. And of all things, wound up back in Oklahoma. Thanks for the memories, Larry!

By the way. Reference the Ukraine, Russia, China, etc. You know why there is war? Because we fucking love it. I loved it. There is blood, and death, and testing yourself. And if you are unfortunate enough to survive? You grow a conscience. And my favorite quote of all time. “Soldiers live and wonder why”.

Hark, the truth; the love of killing and genocide; the blood and the children; the defenseless children and women – it is the Kill that those of ‘The Cult’ love.

Membership arises from fear and ignorance: It kills “Because we fucking love it’; Your children or mine, makes no difference; just kill:

My friend. I deserve to burn in “hell”. Even though I don’t believe in it. And you know the real horror? I’m not sure I would not do it again. Even though I regret so much. Because there is a level of “life” that only comes from closeness to death. So much of life is that way. I am a three-time loser in marriage. Much of it my fault. I know men that are happily married. They screwed one woman in their whole life. And they cut them off years ago. Men that literally have not used their dick as anything but to pee out of for decades. Am I or they, ahead? I’ve had it for free. I’ve paid for it. I’ve had women use me to get back at their husband. I don’t believe in an afterlife. I’ve seen too many dead bodies in both the military and police work. There aren’t any angels, and your observance of some “rite” ain’t going to save your ass. So. If it’s a one-way ride? Take every left turn. Go too fucking fast. Or sit under a tree, make sure not to step on the cricket and “om”. We all make our choices. But none of it matters in the end. We will all eventually be compost. And all our works and dreams and temporary guilt or joys will evaporate.

It’s interesting that you chose to conflate the self-espoused idea that your life has no meaning into a thesis that no one’s life has meaning. Perhaps they would have decided otherwise.

German state security has it called the Andromeda, a 15m or 50ft yacht.
I reckon someone in German state security wasn’t happy putting out this story so referenced a vessel too small for such an operation to discredit the story. Makes me wonder if someone who spends too much time watching American TV approved the story as he doesn’t understand how small a 15m yacht is.

It is known throughout RuNet that we have Petrov and Bashirov for such cases – they did it.

It is very strange that the version of the involvement of terrorists number 1 in the world is not considered. Perhaps it will appear in the media next week.

I like science fiction or Fantasy books quite a lot , but the NYT and Die Zeit are missing the points for a good fiction : some heroes you can identify to somehow, a detailed and realistic description of the environment and consistency in the narration.
A bit like in the recent Georgian thing ; writing some shit about popular engagement to permit foreign agents to corrupt your country with full impunity don’t make a good story , writing about Todd Robinson’s trip beginning by the Swamp briefing room to the deals with Soros NGO in the dark rooms from US embassy in Tbilisi and the long term riot preparations the years before the events will be a much better story. 🙂

Speaking of “blasts”…I wasn’t aware that the non-existent UKR Navy had deep sea demo qualified non-existent SEAL-like teams (sarcasm, sarcasm, sarcasm).

MSM critical thinking and reporting is also a thing of the “past”…I have not read or watched any MSM for several years now and feel all the smarter for it. The MSM is so far gone that Joe could admit that the US did in fact blow up NS2 and the MSM would still try to pin on someone else.

Blogs/forums like SONAR21 are a source of truth, accuracy and critical thinking…thanks for you contribution.
