I just want to reiterate to all who take time to comment, even the trolls, how much I appreciate the intelligent, informed comments. So many of you bring new insights and depth to the discussion. Best of all, we have a great international community. I’m humbled by your generosity of taking the time to offer your views and questions. Thank you.

Good morning Larry. I would also like to thank you for your very good and factual analysis. I thank God that I happened to find your blog a few weeks ago and thanks also for the many international comments. Thanks.
I wish you happiness, success and health.

Good morning and dobro jutro from this retired IC (DIA, CIFA, AFOSI and others) ex-pat now living in Croatia! I really enjoy considering your takes on current issues, and chuckle at your comments about wishing you could get back in a SCIF and fire up your JWICS to see what’s really happening! If only. As old birds who have flown the nest, it’s all about reading the entrails and making intelligent guesses based on previous skills, training and experience now. And you are right most of the time – proving that, though people change seats, the monster stays the same.
Femi Akomolafe says
I rather feel grateful for your taking the time to consistently write very intelligent, well-reasoned and well-articulated articles.
I learn a lot by coming to your blog, for which I am most grateful.
Thanks for sharing your expertise and critical work Larry.
I . unable to make a donation on your donation page – I get the comment, “Donations to this recipient aren’t supported in this country.”
I am in India. Appreciate if this can be fixed.
With best wishes.

I’ve signed up for “Buy Me a Coffee”. Hopefully that will help.
One large latte and a truth donut. Eat here or take away?
We appreciate the education. Just wish we could have a Tip Jar like the excellent Wiper ad blocker on Apple store.
I often pop some money in it after enjoying the internet without all the ad crap. Apple helps with their ‘stop ad tracking.’
Try his tip jar. After one of your throughly enlightened reads, hell I would pay for a coffee. (Your old mate the “Salty Bear” may have to down size to beer.)
Keep it up, Larry. You offer many insights into the war and military perspectives. This is so refreshing in a sea of propaganda which we must face each day.
Many thanks to you.
I am in the UK and I start every day by reading your text. It’s my daily dose of reality and wisdom.
Also, by the evening I will have read and seen everything but still, I start the day with your text.
Thank you for sharing the precious expertise and for the concise writing.

I’m very appreciative of you taking the time to read and comment.
Welcome from Aotearoan NZ, keep up the good work Larry. There’s more of us here who appreciate honesty, read your comments and get called Putin trolls and similar. Chin up, truth hurts, more like you and America can be honourable again.

New Zealand is a place I long to visit. Your wines are incredible.
John Q. Publick says
You might enjoy the “humor” in knowing that Ron Hansen was my mentor as a young Warrant Officer out of OB-LA. That bastard was responsible for a lot of dead Chinese sources. He was plugged into every important op that was going on…
“America can be honourable again.”
If you define “America” as being the land mass from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego you are likely correct.
If you mean the misrepresented coercive relations self-designated “The United States of America”, again cannot happen since “The United States of America” by design has never been honourable.
That was/is also the case of “The Soviet Union” and all social relations based upon coercion and why they require ongoing lateral processes of transcendence not “reform” is a form of iteration, and why the complicities of useful fools are useful as “force multipliers”.
Blue Thunder says
Thanks Larry, you run a first class blog!
didnt you get ran over by a train ??
G’day from downunder Larry.
You are a voice of reason in a western swamp of insanity. You’re my go to each morning for what is really going on.
You’re also a reminder of how great America and Americans can be.
Please keep up your very important work.
Your blog is a chunk of light in an increasingly grey world.
Thank you for the time and daily effort you put into it.

ogni giorno leggo molto volentieri i tuoi commenti: qui in Italia con la stampa completamente allineata non è possibile.
Larry you’re an oasis of truth and reliable info in a wasteland of corrupted propaganda.
We owe you a lot.
I’m in Western Europe and you wouldn’t believe the amount of crap we’re forced to swallow here.
Thank you, Larry, from a Norwegian ex-soldier. Your blog is the first I open i the morning, allways apriciating your analysis. Keep it up!
One of the facilitators is the transcendence of “my blog” by agoras in “reflection” of the ongoing transcendence of coercive social relations by social relations of mutual co-operation, rendering “my blogs” opportunities of “white noise” and useful foolery based upon the “exceptionalism” of I know bestness.
All thanks to you Larry. It is nice to read more realistic news and analisys, than you can find in any MSM outlet these days.
Real refreshment in the time of propaganda.
I am happy to have found your blog
I wait for new posts every day
Pozdrav iz Podgorice
Larry. Thank you from another Aussie. I lived in the United States for 10 years 35 years ago my wife is Californian I have many relatives there and many many fine friends all of whom are hard-working genuine honest people. I loved the United States as a Geographic entity. From sea to shiny sea. However the so-called United States has never been United. And I have hated it’s war like foreign policy, it’s hegemony and it’s complete disregard for men women and children of countries that do not agree with its enforced commercial view of the world. I was in anti Vietnam War marches in Australia in the 60s and my disgust of American foreign policy has only increased since then. The murder of Innocent Men Women children and grandparents in Hiroshima and Nagasaki was inexcusable and it could have been avoided. The continuing Diplomacy using a boy from Kansas sitting in an armchair at 30,000 feet pushing a button is appalling. I have been to Russia twice as a tourist the last time in the wonderful Kamchatka. Russia is our only hope to destroy the thieves in the banking community in wall street and London and return the world to a true Commonwealth of Nations instead of a unipolar banking hegemony stealing every possible resource including human lives from every corner of the planet. Brittney Griner and Julian Assange are pawns in this war. I hope that Russia asks for a swap.Thank you for your wonderful blog.
Having found your blog only a couple of weeks ago I am fascinated by its shining a bit of light into some rather shady corners. Expertise has become a rare commodity these days. Thanks, Larry.

I was wondering if you can give an in depth view on communism. And the differences between reality, and what we’ve been taught to believe in the west.
Appreciate everything you bring to the table.
the deep propaganda against communism in US should tell you something

Here in Portugal, we follow the bad information from the west, whether it be from Spain, England or even Portugal (a dwarf country and increasingly small). In another article I read, I think you asked who can we trust on the news. Well, in that respect, I trust in your good articles. All the best.
It’s a pleasure to read your blog too!
Please remember to take care of yourself as well =)
Your civility and hard work creating this blog are very much appreciated.
The relatively small amount of name-calling, insults and outright hatred I’ve experienced online trying to point out both sides of the story must pale in comparison to what you have to go through.
Have to say it only seems to get worse as time goes on…

Along with Andrei Martyanov and the two Alexanders (both Greek) and Gonzalo Lira with The Duran team, I have kept myself abreast of the situation vis a vis Ukraine and the collective West. I have very high regard for all of you and appreciate the very difficult tasks you have set yourselves in separating the chaff from the wheat. May you enjoy good mental and physical health and continue in education us those who follow you.

Really pleased I found you earlier this year. You cut through the BS and are my go-to source along with the AAA brigade: Alex, Alexander & Andrei.
On a side note, I started binge watching Jeff Bridges in “The Old Man” last night… have you seen it? No offense, but I can’t help but think of you as I watch Jeff dismantle anything in his way!
Cheers and keep up the great analysis. The world needs you at this critical moment.
After the precedent of the last two years of the Media and economic interests pushing an experimental gene therapy on a unsuspecting population…I began to question every media pushed narrative and here we are. As a former infanteer
…. watching a numerically superior Ukrainian army confined to static defensive positions in country perfect for mechanized operations get pounded to dust by Ukrainian militias from Donesk and Lugansk and Russian forces just reiterated my distrust of the oozing Information Psychological Special Operation. My very fear that I see no one speaking of is not economic collapse and a dark winter of hyper inflation induced hardships but a dark winter for a decade or so after a full scale thermonuclear war. The previous lockdown has made fear a virtue and now the fearful feel morally superior to the unafraid…..yet they fear the wrong things…..as they push for certain suicide. Anyhoo….you have a great edgy dry humor writing style that I relate to.
The content and style of your reporting and analyzing, along with your attitude toward encouraging readers to participate by commenting has created a highly welcoming, rather collegial, band of serious thinkers with an insatiable desire to be informed and learn.
Your blog is growing in popularity and is a pleasure to read. There is no substitute for unbiased information. That is the attraction.
Thank you Larry.
Looking forward to your coverage of stage three.
I thank you for your work, bringing great level of analysis. Here in Brazil, unfortunately, MSM dominates the reports on the crisis in Ukraine, with a totally pro-NATO bias. Thank you very much, Larry.
Well Done. A true independent journalist of the old school.

Hi Larry, warm greetings from our holiday place in the Czech Republic. Apart from your expert knowledge in the field of intelligence I want to express my huge admiration for your literary skills.
I am a reader from China. Thank you Larry. I read your article every day. I have nearly 2 million fans in China, and sometimes I mention you. Thank you again, thank you
I’ve been a faithful reader of your blog for several months — I think I found you through Martyanov. Keep up the good work. This is indispensable analysis.
Thank you, Larry, for giving us a platform and a voice. I link your articles to my blog as they pertain to events happening in Ukraine.
All the best. Stay safe.
Hope you don’t think of me as a troll. I consider your site a daily must visit. I have a similar background ancestry wise.
It made me feel really good learning that John Paul has somebody of your caliber watching his back after seeing you on The Duran.
And a big Thank You right back at you Larry for all your factual analysis.

Thanks ,Larry, for a solid fact based analysis! I thought I had lost you when you closed your previous blog, No Quarter USA. But I once again respect your writings, which I found through a link on Martyanov.
This is decidedly OT but I believe this is what we are all about here, respect for the Russian people, their pride and their courage: to that end, I wish to provide a link from Martyanov on the reopening of Saur Mogila:
Also provided is a link from wikipedia.org depicting the utter destruction of this shrine to Russian (Soviet) military in the Great Patriotic War (once in a while, wikipedia does it right).

I found out late in life how that’s maybe the most important foundation of your ego structure.
That said….i really appreciate you, and the effort you put into bringing light to hard subjects…we’re lucky that your extensive background is at the right road junction in time and life for all your readers.
I’m a refugee from a country (Venezuela) that lost a war and it’s soul without firing a single shot, or even putting any effort to resist….to an island (Cuba) that is at the bottom of the barrel in pretty much everything you can measure.
Now in Alaska, next to a large Russian village and presence, trying to get away from all the madness that mesmerized my country, and is now affecting my new country.
Funny, or maybe not so funny, that it was the voting machines that ushered in the new political era here, and they were from Venezuela….a Chavez product.
I don’t doubt in many circles, and at your old department and agency, there’s a bunch of hidden Voodoo dolls in your semblance with all kinds of pins in them….means you’re doing something right.
Keep up the good work, and a stiff upper lip….I, and all your readers owe you a big chunk of gratitude….don’t let anyone or anything smush out your light and your typing fingers…..thanks again
