Let me start with the good news and then I will turn to the darker stuff. Sy decided to give an interview to the War Nerd podcast. War Nerd is Mark Ames. He is mentioned in Sy’s recent memoir. Sy did a terrific but unwelcome investigation on Gulf and Western. Sy writes, “I’ll let another voice discuss the outcome of our Gulf and Western work. Mark Ames, a freelance journalist who did much admirable work in Moscow, analyzed the G&W series and its impact in 2015 for an online journal. His finding was brutal, but pretty much on the mark.“
Hersh’s massive Gulf & Western exposé was…13,000 words long, in three parts, revealing a private labyrinth of corporate fraud, abuse, tax avoidance schemes, and mobbed-up malfeasance. And yet—in spite of all the pre-publication hype, the story landed with a whimper. Something Hersh wasn’t at all used to. For one thing, the article’s language was unusually cautious and dull for a Hersh scoop. As New York magazine quipped, [T]he general reaction has been a big yawn. [U]nlike Hersh’s stories going after the CIA and the military, the Times was far more afraid, and careful, of the consequences of taking on a powerful private company…and getting sued out of existence….[T]he Times saddled Hersh with a team of editors and lawyers to vet his reporting, sucking the life out of the piece until it was almost unreadable. Among other things, the Times cut out all the colorful anonymous quotes that made his muckraking bombshells on the CIA…such memorable reads.”
Excerpt From Reporter by Seymour M. Hersh
Ame’s support of Sy’s work on Gulf & Western earned him the following interview. If you’ve never heard an extended conversation with Sy, this is the genuine deal.
Now for the bad news. The Biden Administration and our European allies either are preparing for a major military action in the Ukraine war or they know something bad is going to happen soon, probably in Belarus, because warnings were just issued for foreign citizens to bug out of Belarus and Russia:
The French Foreign Ministry urged its citizens to leave Belarus without delay.
Canada urges its citizens to leave Belarus immediately because of the risk of arbitrary application of local laws and hostilities in Ukraine — Canadian Foreign Ministry.
The U.S. on Monday issued a top-level advisory telling American citizens to leave Russia immediately and cease travel to the country as Russia’s war against neighboring Ukraine continues, citing risks of harassment and wrongful detention for Americans specifically.
“Do not travel to Russia due to the unpredictable consequences of the unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces, the potential for harassment and the singling out of U.S. citizens for detention by Russian government security officials, the arbitrary enforcement of local law, limited flights into and out of Russia, the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, and the possibility of terrorism,” reads the alert.
I do not believe in coincidence. This is a coordinated action and signals the situation in Russia and Belarus is going to turn dangerous in the near future. Maybe it has something to do with the United States training Islamic radicals to carry out terrorist attacks in Russia and Belarus:
Russia‘s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has claimed it received inputs that the United States (US) is grooming Islamic terrorists to attack targets in Russia and the former Soviet Union, Reuters reported.
It further alleged that the US recruited as many as 60 militants from outfits affiliated with the Islamic State and al Qaeda and is training them at its military base in Syria.
https://www.newsbytesapp.com/news/world/us-fostering-islamic-terrorists-for-attack-russian-spy-service/story
When you have the United States under the control of a feeble Joe Biden, who authorized blowing up the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, you must entertain the possibility he will do something just as bad or worse. Stay frosty.
Another possibility is of cider that Russia is going to launch an offensive out of Belarus into Northern Ukranazistan, and this time for keeps.
The clue here is this “…the possibility of terrorism”.
Of course if Russia suffers from a terrorist attack that means of course that their enemies did it. But only enquiring minds two and two together.
Indeed….saving the ‘best’ for last, the operative condition.
During the Chechen wars, any suspected American input either directly or by Middle Eastern proxy was always murky under the ‘plausible deniability doctrine’ but any such terror attacks now will be blamed directly on the US, guilty or not….with ‘plausible deniability’ a long lost convenience of another era.
The consequences are anyone’s guess.
PS: Ex-Defense Secretary Mark Esper had an interesting conversation with ‘Poroshenko’ (Vovan & Lexus) recently, discussing direct strikes on Russian facilities. I’m quite sure that terrorist strikes would be encouraged, if not directly planned as well be the Esper crowd.
The saga continues ratcheting up, and we don’t build ratchets like we used to.
*of course, not of cider
The US is fighting for the survival of the US dollar on behalf of International bankers. As long as they can print the war will go on. Expect false flags to keep the war drums beating. A Multipolar world means dealing with other countries with respect. The US has to get used to this. So do the globallist bankers whose dreams will be shattered. No more global printing press!
That’s certainly a strange instance of autocorrect. LOL
Drink enough hard cider and you’ll see all kinds of possibilities.
Of cider you will.
Well, Jake Sullivan did tell John Kerry that Al Qaeda was “on our side”. Sullivan is a demon and he has Biden’s ear.
Al Qaeda on our side?? I can’t imagine that is the case, after all the US has messed with, manipulated, & betrayed just about everyone & every religion in that part of the world.
If Al Quaeda were not wholly owned by Western Intelligence agencies, they would have put Davos out of our misery years ago.
Thank you, that hadn’t occurred to me, and putting Davos out of our misery is a wonderful image…
John McCain’s ISIS friends in Syria are available.
No wait. Russia killed them.
So, all that’s left is for the same for McCain’s podium buddies Tyahnybok and Parubiy, the lurking Ihors and their Frankenstein Svoboda social-nationalist party.
Why have all those nazi-saluting Ihors disappeared from google searches, I wonder. They were so inspiring.
al CIAda will do as they are told.
What a thoroughly sick thing to say. Can’t the CDC just quarantine such people in a sick ward?
Will no Americans call for Biden to be taken to account for his act of war against Germany and his utmost to start WW3?
Some have but none of the leaders.
Let us stop the advance of evil by a date — March 11 sounds great (diametrally opposed to 9/11)
Lets go to the streets of cities and towns with a clear message — NO MORE SUPPORT FOR THIS ILLEGAL WAR!
Cheers, JaKo
February 19th in Washington, DC at the Lincoln Memorial, there will be an anti-war rally. It’s called Rage Against The War Machine. You can go to the website to check it out. There will be other rallies around the country. Anyone who can, go there, or find others nearby. Also, you can do your own anti-war rallies. Whatever you can do, please do.
Thanks for pointing out the rally, Dalton. Gonna try to make it.
need riots, protests, not one a off “rally” complete w music and celeberties. vomit.
nothing and nobody will stop anything…I cant be alone in not giving a shit about any of this.
this world needs a cleansing fire.
lets get it on ( i dont care about your kids or family, not every life is special, out of nearly 9 billion, 99.999% are competely worthless and meaningless).
I believe it is ‘highly likely’, in the very near future, the following collective emotions will finally rise up and bubble over in Germany: shock, indignation, shame, anger followed quickly by rage. It will be felt at all levels, and directed towards Biden, the USA, NATO and the EU.
Then we might see defiance and revenge.
I personally would not be suprised if there is a coup in Germany and the USA is booted out. If Scholz survives, will he continue to endorse the admission of Norway and Sweden into NATO? It is clear NATO doesn’t have Grermany’s back. Germany should align with Russia and China. Up until now it has been –
Keep the Germans down, keep the Russians out and keep the US in.
Will it soon be…
The Germans stand up, the Russians come back and they invite the Chinese in?
7+ decades is a long time to be militarily occupied.
I would very much like to agree and I see some signs of this in the protests in various cities in Germany and I note that AfD and Der Linke are beginning to find their voice on the matter of overt German support for 404. I get the impression though that these few with the critical thinking and the testicular fortitude to reject the official narrative represent a minority of the population and most Germans will compliantly go along and do what ever they’re told and swallow what ever bovine excrement they’re told to believe by the sock puppets who pretend to be leaders.
Sadly, that’s not an exclusively German afflication. I can count on one hand the number of people I know who even question the version of the story being flogged daily by the fake news and the gubbermint spokespuppets.
On NATO, I gather you’re referring to Finland and Sweden’s admission into NATO; Norway was a founding member in April 1949 and hosts the Joint Warfare Centre which is the ‘headshed’ for training support.
If my scepticism proves unfounded and the Germans do start looking to their own national interest, I would expect it to manifest once the EU and NATO collapse (or perhaps be the cause of it) and it might take the form of a Russian friendly trade and mutual defense agreement between Germany and Hungary, possibly Austria and perhaps also including Serbia and Bulgaria, but that would require public sentiment in all candidates except Hungary turning into kicking their globalist puppet governments out and voting in a representative government. No doubt the red white and blue flags further west would soil themselves were it to happen and the fake news would be full of scary fortune tellers lamenting the reformation of the 1939 Axis or the 1914 Central Powers; especially if Italy were to join that family.
Unfortunately, I believe things have to get a lot harder and a lot uglier for the population at large before they’ll be motivated to break out the pitchforks and demand government that represents them and their interests properly, but I do expect it’s coming, perhaps by the end of this decade.
…If the senile old coot in DC hasn’t seen to it that most of us are vapourized before then.
Germany, always trying to pull itself by its boot straps, but the Anglo-saxon mediocrity and treachery can’t allow the German genius to shine for too long. Germans need to rise up before another strong man takes them over the cliff.
Don’t expect a German revolution. Elections in Berlin last weekend. Greens, leftists and social democratic party still over 50 percent. The German people are good believers. The single source of truth is the government.
And the german neocons CDU went from 18% to 28%.
Do you think they are any better?
(Do you remember what Merkel said about Minks agreements?)
These people are capable of anything… look at Ukraine and all the propaganda and lies. Look at covid and all the propaganda and lies. Really, does there come any good of it?
Evil at heart, they tell, you what to think and try to cancel you when you refuse. So either they manipulate voting by all the indoctrination and propaganda… (AND) or falsify the results. Because they control the counting and (dis)information about the results. Why would they not cancel the ‘wrong’ votes, they have the arrogance and traits of a psychopath/narcissist. They are not capable of normal, live and let live. Only lie and lie.
There is no democracy. Voting is useless in a corrupt system, it’s only legitimizing these clowns and nothing else.
All good that was left was driven out by corrupt and evil. In the West it’s systemic corruption. A cartel of clowns and jokers, gaslighting everyone in (and out of) their way. No sane person can survive in there and stay mentally and emotionally well.
I’m assuming you’re German.
Stop voting for their FAKE democracy. Don’t expect this time you can vote them away. The next politician will be worse than the prior. Is voting once every 1461 days democracy? Did you vote for association with Ukraine? Did you vote for war with Russia? Did you vote for any war with another nation? Did you vote for mask mandates, lockdowns and forced ‘vaccinations’? Did you vote against transparency of government? Did you vote for their crazy climate -people- control schemes? Did you vote for NATO occupation? Did you vote for patent induced monopolies? Did you vote GMO food? Did you vote for limitless use of all the chemical insecticides and herbicides? Did you vote for the euro? Did you vote for democratic theatre in your country and Brussels — with all the bad clowns? Did you vote for mass immigration totally out of balance and with different cultures? Did you ever vote against privacy and freedom?
Screw their democracy. Their hypocrisy. Total bullshit. It’s their game, their rules and they only play false. We will never win when we keep going to them for their approval… to get something fixed at the cost of some one else… favors. Divide and rule.

Norway is in NATO
It is Finland and Sweden trying to get into NATO. Norway is already a member.
Do not expect Germany to do anything to change direction. No politician will dare as he will be put in the tin hat corner. Or the Putin-loving corner. Or any other devil worshiping corner.
The populace are sheep and will follow the one who pretends to bring security and keep the system running. The Germans do not like or understand change, not when they are involved directly. I live here and have worked here with them for 40 years.
Tell them any opposition will :
1. Take their cars away and bring in a speed limit
2. Cut their high (LOL) standard of living
3. Bring in improvements to make society better for all (leveling)
4. Regulate the banks
5. Tell them any change for the better is like East Germany 2.0
and they will run to the ruling crowd because they are basically a frightened and bullied people who jump at their own shadow. Not having been enabled to come to terms with their past (WWI and WWII) they also have a permanent guilty conscience to be played upon regularly. They have been told Russia is evil and the USA is the savior nation since 1918 none stop up to today so don´t expect any form of uprising. They will not move to save their lives. The young do but are vilified from the onset.
Not to forget if it should come to the crunch, there is always the “Rent-A-Terrorist” option to create a direct threat (lorries in Christmas Markets etc.) and all come to heal so quickly any dog trainer would die from jealousy.
If you find the spelling mistakes you may keep them. 🙂
Silly and uninformed. Norway has been a founding member of NATO since 1948
(” admission of Norway and Sweden into NATO”). You obviously confuse Norway with Finland, a former region of Sweden and then Russia.
Exactly. For example, Scholz is a dog that licks Uncle Sam’s feet.
Feet?
Maybe also the ass.
OK, have it your way…hooves.
Hooves?
Hooves?
Of course. That was what Theophilus was implying. was it not?
If not, I stand corrected but I’m pretty good at cyphering.
Larry,
You may have forgotten Daegel’s prediction of the population of the world by 2025.
The US less than 90 million.
While he has passed; he was rarely wrong. Go back and review his prediction if you saved a copy. It has been wiped from the web.

https://hillmd.substack.com/p/deagelcom-predicts-up-to-80-population
Please note that nukes are not predicted, but economic collapse is predicted due to the truth coming out about our false GDP reporting.
I watch everyday about the death of the dollar based trade and how we have abused our ability to do good – meaning leaving all alone unless they called for emergency aid – to sticking our fingers in every pie to control all.
This done for the few to feel powerful and what happened was all waited for the king to show weakness and now all of the agieved will feast on his bones.
Here is the link to their 2014 country-by-country GDP and population forecast:
https://archive.is/nAHJK
US population projected to decrease from 326 million down to 100 million.
US GDP – to decrease from $19 trillion down to $2.4 trillion.
Most European countries are forecast to undergo a similar fate (GDP collapse and population reduction by 70% or more).
The explanation for such a devastation:
1) US gov GDP data is BS (very similar to what many others with more than just a few brain cells concluded long ago). And its utterly de-industrialized, with more of the GDP being “vaporware” — things like hyper-inflated banking, finance, real-estate sales, insurance, etc. And healthcare that is 3x to 10x more expensive per capita than in any other “developed” country.
Deagel writes:
“For example, several years ago Dagong, the Chinese ratings agency, published a report analyzing the physical economy of the States comparing it with those of China, Germany and Japan. The conclusion was that the US GDP was something between $5 to $10 trillion instead of $15 trillion as officially reported by the USG”
“By the way, no pandemic or nuclear war is included in the forecast.”
“The key element to understand the process that the USA will enter in the upcoming decade is migration”
…and here is the core assumption for the migration of the population due to the collapse of the US / Western hyper-financialized economy:
“The collapse of the Western financial system will wipe out the standard of living of its population while ending ponzi schemes such as the stock exchange and the pension funds. The population will be hit so badly by a full array of bubbles and ponzi schemes that the migration engine will start to work in reverse accelerating itself due to ripple effects thus leading to the demise of the States. This unseen situation for the States will develop itself in a cascade pattern with unprecedented and devastating effects for the economy. Jobs offshoring will surely end with many American Corporations relocating overseas thus becoming foreign Corporations!!!! We see a significant part of the American population migrating to Latin America and Asia while migration to Europe – suffering a similar illness – won’t be relevant. Nevertheless the death toll will be horrible. Take into account that the Soviet Union’s population was poorer than the Americans nowadays or even then. The ex-Soviets suffered during the following struggle in the 1990s with a significant death toll and the loss of national pride. Might we say “Twice the pride, double the fall”? Nope. The American standard of living is one of the highest, far more than double of the Soviets while having added a services economy that will be gone along with the financial system. When pensioners see their retirement disappear in front of their eyes and there are no servicing jobs you can imagine what is going to happen next. At least younger people can migrate. Never in human history were so many elders among the population. In past centuries people were lucky to get to their 30s or 40s. The American downfall is set to be far worse than the Soviet Union’s one. A confluence of crisis with a devastating result.”
Larry, my sincere apologies (in advance) for this super-long comment! Maybe there is a better format to communicate this information on Deagel’s forecast (it seems drastic enough to warrant your blog’s readers’ attention)…
Apparently, in 2020 Deagel made an update to their 2014 (2012?) forecast. They have not changed the population numbers for the US and Europe: still a wipe out of 50-70% for the US (70%), Europe (50-70%), Japan, and S. Korea.
But they did modify the “why”.
Deagel is forecasting a Nuclear War with the US and Europe on one side and Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea on the other side (see a FULL detailed 2020 forecast update below).
My first thought was that any intelligent person should ask: “How is it possible that someone changes the explanation as to “WHY” for their forecasted outcome, but not the outcome itself?!”
After a bit of research I came across this explanation on “Metallicman”, which describes itself as: “We are just a group of retired spooks that discuss things that you’ll not find anywhere else. It makes us unique”.
A v-e-e-e-e-e-ry long article on Metallicman (https://metallicman.com/the-shocking-2025-deagel-forecast-and-remote-viewing-the-future/) explains that the most likely approach to predicting the future (population and economic devastation) that Deagel used was what is known among spooks as Remote Viewing (RV). They use specially trained people with psychic abilities who do that type of thing (apparently both US and Russia have been investing in this type of capabilities for decades). When these psychics “peek” into the future, they might see what they call “mountain peaks” (i.e. the “WHATS”, some big outcomes of certain events), but not necessarily the events that will have lead to such outcomes (i.e. the “WHYs”). Hence Deagel’s prediction stays the same, but the hypotheses on how the world might get there is now different.
Deagel 2020 revision to the original 2012 Deagel Forecast:
In 2014 we published a disclaimer about the forecast. In six years the scenario has changed dramatically.
This new disclaimer is meant to single out the situation from 2020 on-wards.
Talking about the United States and the European Union as separated entities no longer makes sense. Both are the Western block, keep printing money and will share the same fate.
After COVID we can draw two major conclusions:
[1] The Western world success model has been built over societies with no resilience that can barely withstand any hardship, even a low intensity one. It was assumed but now we’ve got the full hard confirmation beyond any doubt.
[2] The COVID crisis will be used to extend the life of this dying economic system through the so called “Great Reset.”
The Great Reset; like the climate change, extinction rebellion, planetary crisis, green revolution, shale oil (…) hoaxes promoted by the system; is another attempt to slow down dramatically the consumption of natural resources and therefore extend the lifetime of the current system.
It can be effective for awhile but finally won’t address the bottom-line problem and will only delay the inevitable.
The core ruling elites hope to stay in power which is in effect the only thing that really worries them.
The collapse of the Western financial system – and ultimately the Western civilization – has been the major driver in the 2012 forecast along with a confluence of crisis with a devastating outcome.
As COVID has proven Western societies embracing multiculturalism and extreme liberalism are unable to deal with any real hardship.
The Spanish flu one century ago represented the death of 40-50 million people.
Today the world’s population is four times greater with air travel in full swing which is by definition a super spreader.
The death casualties in today’s World would represent 160 to 200 million in relative terms but more likely 300-400 million taking into consideration the air travel factor that did not exist one century ago.
So far, COVID death toll is roughly 1 million people.
It is quite likely that the economic crisis due to the lock-downs will cause more deaths than the virus worldwide.
The Soviet system was less able to deliver goodies to the people than the Western one. Nevertheless Soviet society was more compact and resilient under an authoritarian regime. That in mind, the collapse of the Soviet system wiped out 10 percent of the population.
The stark reality of diverse and multicultural Western societies is that a collapse will have a toll of 50 to 80 percent depending on several factors.
But in general terms the most diverse, multicultural, indebted and wealthy (highest standard of living) will suffer the highest toll.
The only glue that keeps united such aberrant collage from falling apart is over-consumption with heavy doses of bottomless degeneracy disguised as virtue.
Nevertheless the widespread censorship, hate laws and contradictory signals mean that even that glue is not working any more.
Not everybody has to die.
Migration can also play a positive role in this.
The formerly (known as) second and third world nations are an unknown at this point. Their fate will depend upon the decisions they take in the future.
Western powers are not going to take over them as they did in the past because these (Western) countries won’t be able to control their very own cities let alone those countries that are far away.
If they remain tied to the former World Order they will go down along with the Western powers. However, they won’t experience the same kind of brutal decline that the Western powers will experience so brazenly. This is partially because they are poorer and (obviously) not diverse enough. Instead they are stronger than the Western powers because they are actually quite homogeneous. This is their advantage. And that they are used to deal with some sort of hardship. Though, not precisely the one that is coming.
If they switch to China they can get a chance to stabilize but will need to depend upon the management of their own resources.
We expected this situation to unfold and actually is unfolding right now.
With the November election triggering a major bomb if Trump is re-elected. (Did not happen.)
If Biden is elected there will be very bad consequences as well.
There is a lot of bad blood in the Western societies and the protests, demonstrations, rioting and looting are only the first symptoms of what is coming.
However a new trend is taking place overshadowing this one.
The situation between the three great powers has changed dramatically.
The only relevant achievement of the Western powers during the past decade has been the formation of a strategic alliance, both military and economic, between Russia and China.
Right now the potential partnership between Russia and the European Union (EU) is dead with Russia turning definitively towards China. That was from the beginning the most likely outcome.
Airbus never tried to establish a real partnership but rather a strategy to fade away the Russian aerospace industry.
Actually Russia and China have formed a new alliance to build a long haul airliner.
Western Europe (not to mention the United States) was never interested in the development of Russia or forming anything other than a master slave relationship with Russia providing raw materials and toeing the line of the West.
It was clear then and today is a fact.
Russia has been preparing for a major war since 2008 and China has been increasing her military capabilities for the last 20 years. Today China is not a second tier power compared with the United States. Both in military and economic terms China is at the same level and in some specific areas are far ahead.
In the domain of high-tech 5G has been a success in the commercial realm but the Type 055 destroyer is also another breakthrough with the US gaining a similar capability (DDG 51 Flight IIII) by mid of this decade (more likely by 2030).
Nanchang, the lead ship of the Type 055 class, was commissioned amid the pandemic and lockdown in China.
Six years ago the likelihood of a major war was tiny.
Since then it has grown steadily and dramatically and today is by far the most likely major event in the 2020s.
The ultimate conflict can come from two ways.
[1] A conventional conflict involving at least two major powers that escalates into an open nuclear war.
[2] A second scenario is possible in the 2025-2030 time-frame. A Russian sneak first strike against the United States and its allies with the new S-500, strategic missile defenses, Yasen-M submarines, INF Zircon and Kalibr missiles and some new space asset playing the key role.
The sneaky first strike would involve all Russian missile strategic forces branches (bombers and ground-based missiles) at the different stages of such attack that would be strategic translation of what was seen in Syria in November 2015.
There was no report that the Russian had such a capability of launching a high precision, multiple, combined arms attack at targets 2,000+ kilometers away.
Western intelligence had no clue.
The irony is that since the end of the Cold War the United States has been maneuvering through NATO to achieve a position to be able to execute a first strike (nuclear) over Russia and now it seems that the first strike may still occur but the country finished would be the United States.
Another particularity of the Western system is that its individuals have been brainwashed to the point that the majority accept their moral high ground and technological edge as a given.
This has given the rise of the supremacy of the emotional arguments over the rational ones which are ignored or deprecated.
That mindset can play a key role in the upcoming catastrophic events.
At least in the Soviet system the silent majority of the people were aware of the fallacies they were fed up.
We can see the United States claims about 5G being stolen from them by China or hypersonic technology being stolen by Russia as the evidence that the Western elites are also infected by that hubris.
Over the next decade it will become obvious that the West is falling behind the Russia-China block and the malaise might grow into desperation.
Going to war might seem a quick and easy solution to restore the lost hegemony to finally find them into a France 1940 moment. Back then France did not have nuclear weapons to turn a defeat into a victory. The West might try that swap because the unpleasant prospect of not being Mars and Venus but rather a bully and his dirty bitch running away in fear while the rest of the world is laughing at them.
If there is not a dramatic change of course the world is going to witness the first nuclear war.
The Western block collapse may come before, during or after the war.
It does not matter.
A nuclear war is a game with billions of casualties and the collapse plays in the hundreds of millions.
@RockTime
I frequent Deagel as its coverage of military eqpt, specs, purchase contracts, distribution/usage details, and general overviews of the global armaments industry is both comprehensive and easily navigated.
Its predictions were likewise comprehensive, and included GDP, GDP-PPP, population, and a number of other categories for ~150 countries.
Prior to 2014, Deagel had forecast the 2025 US population at 50M, but doubled the projection during the “pandemic”. A few years ago I dumped their data into a spread sheet to see if I could see any obvious patterns, and indeed the collective West dominates the top 50 Population/GDP losers.
FWIW, here are Deagel’s top 5 population losers:
Pop. in Millions, Current / Proj. / % drop
UK 65 / 14 / -78.5%
IE 5.2 / 1.3 / -75.0%
US 332 / 99 / -70.2%
LU 0.6 / 0.2 / -66.7%
DE 80 / 28 / -65.0%
Deagel’s statement that the principle losses in the West will be due to migration don’t stack up. Their projected numbers indicate that the population gains in the positive gain countries come nowhere near compensating for the losses. The net effect is that the world’s population drops by 10%.
Interestingly, Russia is projected to lose 3.4%, while China loses 2.3%. I suspect that the former is wildly off the mark.
Wrong Deagal.
Deagal .com is a military site and issued their reports in 2014 and updated it in 2020. The reports are no longer available on their site however there are copies floating about.
In the 2014 report the US and most western nations were predicted to have massive population reductions although they speculated as to the causes. The 2020 report confirmed their “suspicions” as to what was to happen to the west in the near future.
Maybe Daegel’s prediction deserved to be forgotten. L. Ron Hubbard worthy.
Mind you, I don’t dispute a pending contraction but short of a nuclear war, that prediction is simply ridiculous.
Many of us do it constantly…..
Hold him to account how? Like when hundreds of thousands of us marched against the Iraq War?
It could even be that they’re deliberately provoking the Russians to hit that camp.
Could it be that the State Dept is thinking of the ultimate escalation – nuclear war – and this is the reason why they want their citizens out of Russia and Belorossiya? The way the situation is unfolding seems that anything is now possible and given the level of psychosis being displayed by the leadership of your country gives weight to that fear. It appears that the US leadership and state apparatus are totally out of control.
I hope not. If the West chooses that route then it will be the end of America and Europe and Russia will survive.
A real Nuclear war would violate Nietzsche’s Law: ~Beware anyone who makes a living fighting and enemy because they have a vested interest in keeping that enemy alive” Nuclear war would stop the profits – no more enemy, no more industrial base.
However, the threat of nuclear war is a money maker. A tactical or smaller nuke blamed on Russia-is-losing-and-desperate might happen, but that excuse is fast becoming unsupportable. Remember “1984”‘s eternal wars and and terrorists.
You underestimate the depth of their stupidity – the idiots think they’d survive the nuclear war, bunkers and such. Remember how in the EU they began to build a $12 shelter for these brain-dead?
No offense to you, but I calculate that you are overestimating their stupidity. Yes the front men are useful idiots for our real rulers, but our real rulers have never lost – never. However, in the Ukraine war case, I think they underestimated the Russians and over estimated the Ukrainians. But that does not mean they will be stupid enough to start an actual nuclear war. The are not stupid enough to want to live in a bunker for years, to have their whole society destroyed – they are not fanatics. They are just greedy
One faction of the ruling class ARE fanatics: the neocons. They are ideologues.
Only this time there is no Stalin to deploy the icepick.
Lika… I tend to agree with James. They can’t charge interest from a bunker and a decimated planet. However, James might be underestimating that our “true leaders” might be fooled in the end by the Master Coordinator of evil and his goal tobdestroy mankind. Remember, how easy it is to start such a conflict today.
It’s a MAD world for sure Larry
But when it comes to ‘mutually assured destruction’ all things are not equal.
Apparently the West has way way more to lose than they can possibly know.
You of course know.
https://www.thesiriusreport.com/analysis-opinion/op-ed-the-mad-reality-mutual-assured-destruction-by-no-means-assures-mutual-proportional-destruction/?utm_source=pocket_saves
I speculated about that decades ago. Americans would mostly be killing each other over twinkies, while a good chunk of the Russian population would simply revert back to back-woods survivalist mode. It’s a tough crowd over there.
Well, that seems odd since Biden & the creeps behind him sure have been doing just about everything possible to demonstrate they don’t give a lick about US citizens. Must be some other reason for that warning.
I have a difficult time with the belief that anyone in Washington gives two iota of crap about any American citizen.
No one in the DC swamp would bat an eye about vaporizing Americans, even military members.
If they said that you can bet your last nickel that there is another motive.
They don’t want to vaporize themselves.
What’s more terrifying is Biden truly isn’t in control of much, is he? He certainly is not running the USA (empire).
As long as Biden is in the White House, the Ukraine war will continue – just as the Viet Nam war continued until they got Nixon out of there. I see that this really is the job of the US President, and probably why the establishment hates Trump so much; he is not reliable in that way.
The US pulled out of Vietnam (aside from the embassy in Saigon) in 1973. Nixon resigned in 1974.
Fall of Saigon in 1973 or 1975…?
This seems to be another side to your story, Larry – America vs America!
https://strategic-culture.org/news/2023/02/13/endgame-for-ukraine-america-vs-america/
How this will end? THANK YOU!
Lubica, thanks for that link. An interesting excerpt from the article:
But that is not what is happening. Victoria Nuland – who has been ‘capo’ in Kiev for a decade – is overseeing a purge: Unreliables are ‘out’, and pro-American radical Ukrainian hawks are ‘in’. It is a make-over of the Kiev mafia, which leaves Zelensky without friends – and wholly dependent on Washington. It looks to be preparation for the U.S. to attempt a double-down in Ukraine.
“Capo” is an appropriate term the war criminal in charge of Kaganistan.
This article by Larry is simply great.
\The strategic culture article by Cooke adds extra context supporting Larry’s analysis I think . In a situation like this, we cannot expect rational decison-making on the part of the US and its slave states. Cooke’s article quotes my comments on the Western Wunderwafffen, the Abrams tank in particular.
https://julianmacfarlane.substack.com/p/much-ado-about-nothing-western-wunderwaffen.
Although this article was meant to be humorous, it was based on serious facts.
The US and NATO do not have the means to intervene militarily in Ukraine so they doing what they do best — making up stories–trying to pretend they have a technological edge, which they don’t, using F22s to shootdown balloons, two of which were probably of American origin as Moon of Alabama says.
https://julianmacfarlane.substack.com/p/the-war-on-balloons
The pronouncements about Belarus might actually be a way of deterring the Poles from trying to carve off a chunk of Ukraine, with this pseudo-state disintegrating.
Pronouncements against Russian “terrorism” is clearly to obfuscate their own program of terror inside Russia and its new territories in Ukraine. Behind this the real problem is the State of the Union. What is its state? Just look at Joe Biden. Something has to give.
As Larry says, it’s a clownshow.
Since most of the “aid” to the Ukraine might never leave the States, doesn’t it look like the scorched earth plan for Europe was to strip it’s manufacturing and retreat across the Atlantic to regroup? I’m guessing after the sanctions did not crack Russia, cutting bait was always the plan.
The plan for China, IMO, will always be about posturing. I predict a slow political occupation of Taiwan by China (with regular pressure and offers to make it seem inevitable)with the US deepening ties to Phil. The next domino in the US ring fence may be Singapore where there is a bit of goodwill toward China. Japan and Korea hate China so they are staying vassals for a while.
So in response to your timely post: I agree a lot of this is about 2024.
A hot war with China feels far off. The posturing is for domestic consumption.
It’s truly evil if the US is training terrorists to attack people in Russia. Insane and callous towards US citizens’ safety, too.
Interesting that just a couple days before the earthquake in Turkey, a similar warning was issued:
Turkey: No evidence from Western nations after consulate closures
Earlier this week nine Western nations either closed down their consulates in Istanbul or issued travel warnings to citizens visiting Turkey, citing security threats.
The measures angered Turkey, which on Thursday summoned the countries’ ambassadors in protest. The interior minister accused the countries of waging “psychological warfare” and attempting to wreck Turkey’s tourism industry.
“They say there is a terror threat … But when we ask what the source of information was and who the perpetrators of such attacks might be, they did not share any information with our intelligence and security authorities,” [Foreign Minister Mevlut] Cavusoglu said.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/turkey-no-evidence-from-western-nations-after-consulate-closures/ar-AA174n9o
We know that Turkey was not in lockstep with NATO and was perhaps getting too cozy with Russia…just sayin’…
In other news, Samantha Power is in Hungary. Biden (sic) continues doubling down.
I couldn’t believe that when I read it on The American Conservative. Why Orban let that monster into the country is completely beyond me. I remarked to my son when forwarding the video clip: “so much psychopathy in one face”.
Honestly, the thing looks like it just escaped from a mental asylum.
Well, since the State Department our “ally and friend” sent this neocon witch Samantha Power to Budapest, our previously lukewarm disgust will turn to hatred. The average Hungarian person knew until now that the sending of the openly homosexual ambassador Pressman to Hungary was intended as an atrocity by our “friend” against our family-friendly policy! But maybe it will have the same effect as when Andropov of the KGB was sent to us in 1956. Our country has a long tradition of dealing with hostile superpowers, we have experience with Nazi Germany, which took the Hungarian Governor’s son hostage, then they staged a coup in our country, and then the Jewish deportations began. Then later we were accused of being Nazis ! In 1956, handcuffs were brought to our people with Soviet tanks! And now another Gauleiter has arrived from the USA under the name of Samantha Power, are you going to kidnap one of Orbán’s sons as well, repeating what Otto Skorzeny did in 1944 , so that you can bring the “Color Revolution” to us as well ? Then the Christian deportations also begin ?
Countries have option to reject appointment of ambassadors they don’t like.
I wonder why Hungary didn’t make the choice.
John Dolan aka Gary Brecher is the war nerd. Mark Ames is his sidekick.
Oh my gowd! Please let it be this (whatever) and not the nuclear war!
OTOH, that “this” may be just warning for rather unpleasant situation developing for the residents of “unfriendly nations”…
I can downgrade (my view) of the RFAF offensive to no more than their standard of combined operations advance (AKA meatgrinder moving forward at ever increasing pace and efficiency), while the empire is in awe of learning new (to her) stuff…
I’m old enough to say that I lived my life and I don’t really care if I die tomorrow; however, I see life around me and my family to see things otherwise. There is a motion in Czechia about a March 11 demonstration against what is going on — say, let it be a world-wide event and say NO MORE to the global cabal!
Cheers, JaKo
Agreed. Several points to ponder:
1) https://tass.com/politics/1575305
Putin “praises Marines” – with all going on in Bakhmut? Think veiled warning. Think more going on in those oceans than we know…He knows DC plans.
2) All the Embassy closures in Turkey right b4 “Earthquake”.
3) Putin 2-21 address
4) Biden in Poland 2-20 thru 2-22
5) UNSC “Nordstream” by Russia meeting 2-17 (thereabout)
6) UNGA 2-24 to vote on Zelenskyy 10 point peace plan, more Sanctions
7) China refuses to bankroll USA anymore- Debt ceiling vote…
Agree Larry … bumpy month ahead, rather months ahead…
I snorted when I read “unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian…”, if I had had any liquid in my mouth my laptop would have gotten a shower.
I know things could go south pretty quickly (which wouldn’t go well for us “peons”), once the US empire does its deep dive into history’s garbage heap of failed empires, but at least the chances of the US screwing up other countries would hopefully go down dramatically… What the??? training Islamic radicals, making the same bad choices & wondering why they blow up in their faces? Evil idjits.
Larry, on a side note, I don’t know if you’ve seen this or not, but you got mentioned in an article today on Gateway Pundit.. Awesome!
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/02/jerome-corsi-part-ii-general-flynn-sidney-powell-used-brady-rule-expose-obama-coup-detat-co-conspirators-traitors/
I snorted when I read “unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian….”
So did I. I thought it should read: illegal, unprovoked, brutal, full scale invasion of Ukraine….
That’s cute. Standup comedy your schtick?
Going by the rule of projection the US empire, which for so many decades has denounced “terrorism” (which it always took the lead in creating) and waged a “war on terror” and slapped the label “state sponsor of terrorism” on other countries, is about to radically escalate its own status as the most extreme and aggressive terrorist state of all. Of course with acts like the MH-17 shootdown and Nordstream bombing the US already is history’s worst practitioner of terrorism.
It also sounds like the empire and lackeys are about to step up the persecution of Russians and Belarussians living within imperial domains. (Although if the US does launch a terrorist campaign inside Russia, Russia will have every right and imperative to make sure about westerners living in Russia.)
Nuland , Inc. aren’t packing up and going home. They’ve got something planned.
A night on bald mountain perhaps?
I have said this all along – this is an existential fight for the West. It did not have to be this way but they went into it head first – sanctions, lies about RFA’s incompetence and 404 winning, lies about domestic issues (inflation falling, employment numbers growing, economy growing) etc. etc. The red lines keep getting crossed – Crimean bridge, Nordstream, guiding HiMARS rockets onto Russian targets, Darya Dugina murder (right in the middle of Moscow – don’t tell me 3-letter agency didn’t know about that). These gamblers have (what they think are) limitless lines of credit so they keep doubling down.
It is looking increasingly clear that Putin has been preparing for this for at least since 2007. I think at some point in time he decided to keep talking to the west, keep making money, keep growing the military, keep tightening security, keep making friends with everyone else and keep stockpiling guns. I am not sure that 2022 was the year he would have picked but it looks like he did enough to be able to come out on top.
I expect the worst – the west has lost its moral compass and it is out of control.
Incidentally, do you know what the establishment’s biggest fear is? That the average American male starts seeing Putin as a president with balls who cares about his people.
I agree. I never understood the demonization of Putin. It is nonsensical when you consider what kind of leader he is and what he has done in Russia over the past 20 years. They went from being a bankrupt, literally defaulting on debt in 1998, nation to a military power that is destroying a NATO army with relative ease. All the while improving the standard of living for the Russian people. They have enough financial reserves to pay off their debts and the top income tax rate is 13%.
Well, I don’t think Putin was fully prepared and it’s unclear, to me at least, that enough has been invested to decisively come out on top. Anything less than decisive is an invitation for NATO to keep on coming. I hope the Russians have finally smartened-up and gotten their act together enough to make the big offensive and do it right (i.e. shock and awe) and finish this quickly – hoping it’s not too late.
Not caring about time (ridiculous) has permitted deranged NATO to get its ducks in a row and to prepare some kind of hideous escalation(s). Be kind to your enemies and be cruel to yourself.
Eric, you have repeated the same premise here – that RF not doing shock and awe shows weakness and that’s dangerous because it “invites” NATO to be bolder and bolder. To me that’s like saying a person walking down the street quietly is inviting someone to rob them because they are not rampaging and breaking street lights while walking. Russia is moving at its own pace and adjusting to conditions on the ground. If NATO wasn’t involved, RFA would have been on the Dnieper by now a long time ago. But, NATO got involved, mercenaries are on the ground, HiMARS was delivered, so were many more Soviet time jets, tanks etc., VSU is at its 6th mobilization wave and now snatching people from the streets to put them in uniform. 404 has effectively been depopulated and most of the men that stayed are dead, wounded forever or on the way there. NATO escalating is NATO’s problem – the more they escalate, the more the rest of the world sees them for what they are and if you noticed, USA does not have ATACMs to share, Stoltenberg is publicly admitting that they have no more ammo to share, instead of Leopard 2s, 404 is now looking at Leopard 1s. People in the UK are publicly admitting that UK could only fight a full scale war for 1 day. What does this all say? That RF’s approach is working.
At the same time, more and more people in America are looking at Putin as the only president in the world with cojones, that took his country from ruin to prosperity in 20 years. Meanwhile they look at USA (Biden and Trump and myriad of other losers) and see a country in huge decline over the same 20 years. Now that’s scary.
Russian should have known NATO would escalate, at first by supporting the Ukrainians just as it has, mercenaries and all. Even I knew they would. Pretty much a no brainer. Had Russia gone in big, NATO would not have had time to assist the Ukrainians b/c the Ukrainians would have all been wiped out.
Yes, in certain neighborhoods if you walk around looking like prey, you will be victimized. Don’t enter those neighborhoods unless you look tough. Not nice/not fair, but such is life.
I don’t believe Ukraine is depopulated and down to a few teenagers and old men scooped up from the streets. They are holding Russia back and making Russia fight for every square yard. Old men and teenagers can do that? If so, Russia has some very big problems.
If the Ukrainian forces really do become totally depleted, then NATO will step in with combat troops; mostly Poles and Americans. If Russia is struggling to take ground now, they are going to find it exponentially more difficult when facing Poles and Americans. Americans will arrive with combined arms. They’ve been building for that and the Russians have given them time. Kill enough Americans, and the Russians will be facing tactical nukes.
This should have been a Russian fait accompli by last May.
Still keeping this at a very simple level, Oddo, the Ukrainian alleged teenagers and old men are defending a frontline that is something like a 1,000KM long (Zelensky says it’s more like 2,500KM). Not only do they have enough troops to defend that line, they also seem to be able to move troops from quiet spots to hot spots without getting wiped out. That is revealing. Many Ukrainian conscripts are being trained in NATOland. A quick finish to the war would have prevented that. I read people making excuses for Russia by noting that the Ukrainians have had 8 years to create a defense in depth. Ok. An attacking force encountering a defense in depth is hardly a new thing in the annals of warfare. The Russians have had 8 years to understand every square inch of that defense system and should have been prepared to defeat it. On that note, why are thermobarics not raining down on the Ukrainian fortress on the heights of Ugledar, where Russian forces were hit hard and forced to retreat the other day? Thermobarics are exactly the tool for cracking a tough nut like that.
These are very basics questions aimed at very real situations on the ground, situations that we can all agree exist. Sorry, the Russians are facing grave challenges and their slow progress is not some advanced strategy. It is an attacking army that is a bit on the lite side to accomplish its mission and who’s biggest baddest weapons have been largely neutralized by enemy counters.
Maybe Macgregor and Ritter are right and a huge offensive is coming and the Russians are going to go to all out no mercy warfare with all of those forces. We’ll see. 50/50 that will happen, IMHO. Those forces might be waiting as a quick reaction force only to be introduced into combat if those doing the fighting now come under more severe NATO pressure, which will happen if the Russians manage to punch through the line of defense they are currently attacking.
Again, IMHO, Russia should have done the Macgregor plan back in May or June, at the latest.
Eric, I don’t think you understand the Russian/Slavic mindset. I think RF purposefully avoided and is still avoiding civilian casualties. A lot of the places they want, have population that is Russian. 404 is and has been using that fact skillfully. As for thermobarics, they are being used a lot but just like NATO, resources are not unlimited. They also have to maintain a strategic reserve, in case NATO does join the fray.
You keep saying 404 has plenty of men but then say that if the men run out, NATO/Poland will join. Well, if 404 does run out of men and needs Poles and Americans to step in, well, then the Russian strategy worked and you proved me correct 😉
As for Americans, they will not join the fray because they are not stupid. They would not last 15 minutes in 404 in continental/trench warfare. If you thought Russians are human life loss averse, think about what the Americans are. It would be a very tough sell here if they start coming back dismembered etc. from thermobarics and heavy artillery bombardments. You talk of RF facing tactical nukes as if NATO/USA is in some kind of an advantage there.( It is not. )
I would say USA/NATO would be facing Kinzhals and Zirkons and that would be one of those life altering experiences for the “combined arms” West. Finally, if the West was so sure about its strength, why is it resorting to terrorist acts a-la pipeline blasts? Why is it not already in the fight directly?
We shall see. All speculation.
“If the Ukrainian forces really do become totally depleted, then NATO will step in with combat troops; mostly Poles and Americans.”
Plenty of Americans have fought and died in misbegotten wars, but ostensibly in service to their country. Never have they fought under the banner of NATO. How many would be willing to do so in Ukraine? Alongside Poles and mercenaries? Maybe even commanded by foreigners?
If the US tried large-scale intervention wearing a NATO mask, it’s likely resistance from within its forces in Ukraine would be like nothing ever seen before in US military history.
The war in the Balkans was a NATO operation.
Korea was also a NATO police action.
Both Iraq invasions were at least quasi-NATO.
Somalia was NATO.
Oddo,
“Slavic mindset”. You’re really reaching. The Ukrainians are slavs. They seem to have no problem hitting civilians.
Why would civilians be hanging around Ukro-supply lines and staging areas? Are there civilians on the Ugledar heights?
Eric,
404 are Slavic only in name. They are convinced that they are members of EU and have all “european values”, whatever that is. In fact, most 404 are probably ashamed of being Slavic and would be embarrassed to say they are Slavic. In essence, they have been brainwashed. I see the same thing “back home” in former Yugoslavia. Most western occupied areas of ex-Yu are all banging about europe and America while essentially becoming protectorates with no say. They all whine about Tito’s “communist rule” but at least in Tito’s time we were independent and pretty powerful as a country and we had everything we wanted. The same thing is happening to 404 now, they have drank from the fountain of western propaganda, abandoned all of their history as part of Soviet Union and are all convinced that they are British or French or most likely German. There are plenty of videos online of them hitting medics and clearly wounded soldiers, using human shields, executing POWs and hitting civilians in places like Donetsk.
I think you are the one who is reaching. I used to enjoy the debate but at this point it is childish. I don’t even understand your argument – is it that NATO is escalating because of perceived RFA weakness and you are claiming RFA is actually weak? But, consider the fact that in all of this – Russians have never resorted to international terro*ism, never resorted to underhanded crap, have always allowed 404 to collect their wounded and have never executed POWs. Russia has always done the SMO on its own timetable and refused to be goaded into knee-jerk reactions and escalation (even after low-life s*it like Darya Dugina), unless it is of her own choosing. On the other hand, the West has done all of the above underhanded stuff – all of which is showing desperation. If you follow all the Russian Telegram channels like Slavyangrad, Rybar etc. – they don’t really lie and are plenty critical of the RFA and Kremlin. Do you see the same in the States and EU? If 404 was really winning, why are they on their 6th wave of mobilization and begging for jets and tanks and ammo and everything else? Why are they trying to desperately involve Poland, Romania and NATO into the fight? Why are CNN/NBC/WAPO/NYT/etc all lying?
Who is goading who, I wonder. Who is the cat and who is the mouse?

If the US was concerned with the safety of US citizens, the US would have universal healthcare. It is only propaganda, quite ridiculous as usual.
Travel Advisory: Russia – Do Not Travel: Russia may refuse to acknowledge dual nationals’ U.S. citizenship, deny their access to U.S. consular assistance, subject them to mobilization, prevent their departure from Russia, and/or conscript them.
If the U.S. was concerned about the safety of its citizens, the LAST thing our government would foist upon its people would be totalitarianism Marxist Socialist Universal Health Care. (Obama Care and all other such socialist programs are an abomination to all God and self-reliant, Freedom loving Americans.)
LOL free health care for all is an abomination? Just, WOW!
define “free”, someone is paying for it somewhere, some how, Experience shows free means rationed and unaccountably politicised.
Just wait until you or someone you know really needs healthcare, not some cosmetic stuff. What are you going to do? A “self reliant” GoFundMe begging webpage as it is the norm in the US now?
Why is it so great to die younger while paying more than double in GDP than the commies ?
Explain yourself !
Russia may refuse to acknowledge dual nationals’ U.S. citizenship, deny their access to U.S. consular assistance, subject them to mobilization, prevent their departure from Russia, and/or conscript them.
Well, of course if they have dual citizenship with RF, they’re subject to Russian law while in Russia.
How many expats would that be then, one out of a hundred? Sounds like something some pencil pusher at State decided would sound ‘concerning’ enough fer govermint werk.
Actually, Larry, Mark Ames is not the War Nerd; one of his supporting cast is a gentleman named Gary Bercher (?) whose nom de plume is the War Nerd. They published together at the Exile, a sometimes raunchy but often brilliant magazine Mark (and Matt Taibbi) ran as an expat living in Russia. Sort of like the original Saturday Night Live being a hotbed of creative comedic talent, there was something in the water at that place…there were some fine journalists who got their start there. And I’m speaking from memory, hope I’m not mis-stating anything.
It feels that we are living in the last days preceding the catching away of the body of Christ, Maranatha!
From what I see, the people in charge are getting to the point where, if they can’t run the world, then they don’t want anyone to have. Your thoughts?
…”unprovoked” “full-scale” invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces…
These liars take advantage of every opportunity to insert their double speak.
It’s been ‘provoked’ with growing intensity for 25 years to be exact and a full scale invasion would be a million+ men.
Funny thing about provocations. Like speeding tickets and insults, they’re cumulative.
Since the beginning of SMO, the play of the ‘west’ was to try to get the Russian leadership and military out their comfort zone, into the frying pan of ‘western’ PR, media, credit trap, economic over-extension, and other well designed mechanisms to steal wealth. Russia saw most if not all these traps, and worked the SMO rhythm to her advantage.
If you followed the (military) analysts from BOTH West and East, most of them were WRONG, about what kind of war Russia should follow. None of them said in January, February or March 2022, that Russia should wage a WW1 type of war.
One year into SMO the attrition type of war seems to be the most appropriate one for the Russian interests. They have now a trained, intact military, with enough military industry behind them, while they demilitarized not only Ukraine but also most of the NATO.
This is what the ‘west’ realized in the last few months, and the attrition war is the LAST thing they want from Russia. They want some actions, fireworks, pictures in the news, blood on the street, not artillery war from 10-20 km away, for couple more years. Thus, they will do anything to provoke Russia out of this slow grinding.
The last provocation with ME terrorists is nothing but another step in the same routine (blowing up NS 1&2, long range missiles, blowing up the Crimean bridge, all the international dance of the coke president, so on. )
So far Russia took the blows without flinching, and continued with the plan to send daily 500-1000 combatants to Bandera
I’ll leave you with what Wagner’s chief told us about the duration of the war
*Luhanks and Donetsk oblasts, 1.5 to 2 years,
*3 years if it’s to advance to the Dnieper River, and
*Prigozhin mentions “La Manche”, which is the French term for the English Channel. He quips that he has a plan to get there too.

Expect lots of provocations to prevent this schedule
Agreed – the War Party needs the Ukrainian Civil War to end PDQ, at least the hot part. Moscow wants this Civil War to Continue at the current pace until de-dollarization forces a insolvent Washington to back off.
De-dollarization might take 3-7 years – between 2025-2030.
Therefore, the War Party must change-up the dynamics of this Civil War.
Prigozhin likes playing cat and mouse. There is no ‘schedule’ to prevent beyond Ukraine itself.
The guy’s a smart cookie, no denying it. I wonder how his chess game is.
Mr. Johnson – i have 2 questions. i just listened to the audio yu did with joses

Near the end; yu said;
1) If war with china; the usa may lose hawai..My question is what do yu think this would this mean for australia and new zealand.
2) Yu also said that the usa may lose alaska to china or russia. My question is what would do you think that would mean for canada.
best regards,

They will be under China’s control.
Canada? Well before it comes under Chinese control expect a visit from more than “paid protesters” to the Trans Mountain Pipeline. Canada sure has problems selling hydro carbons unless it flows south. Lets quit pretending Canada was ever a sovereign country.
From 1997 to 2008, Mark Ames and Matt Taibbi co-edited eXile Magazine, a sort of acerbic hipster tabloid aimed at the expatriate community in Moscow. Their schtick was a combination of whimsical shock-jock journalism with a sprinkling of serious news and commentary. Then they both moved on to focus on more adult forms of journalism.
I used to enjoy reading eXile in Moscow in the 90’s. Also enjoyed Kukli and free porn on late night TV, along with the female reporters’ ‘naked news’ channel.
Western versions’d all be nice to see in the States and ESPECIALLY Kukli. Boy, that’d be juicy. Wish they’d resurrect MAD Magazine too but alas, they don’t allow such affronts to the status quo in totalitarian societies.
Why not consider the most obvious thing ?
They have concluded that all those forces siting north of Kharkov and in Belarus are about to move South ?
If they do – a lot of Western body bags will be coming home – and they do not want that.
Escalation against Russia at the feared level is understandable from the point of view of logic. BRICS+, SOC and EAWU increase the pace. The window of opportunity is closing faster and faster for the empire. My guess has always been that the biggest threat to the US as a world power is not from the Russian military, but from the battle of currencies and over control of raw materials. The Russian military “only” flanks this.
If bad terrorist attacks against civilians are actually activated in Russia, then the mood in the Russian population will explode. I have been following this since 2014. It started with astonishment and incomprehension. Now there are more and more voices calling for immediate massive bombing of the West and the US. Especially with nuclear weapons. Regarding the USA, “Poseidon” is always mentioned. Of course, I cannot know how representative these voices are.
Putin has actually been trying to keep the lid on things in Russian society.
For them Russia population is increasingly calling for escalation against the combined Western Alliance. There are many close to Putin who are not nearly as patient with the deliberate provocations of Europe and U.S. If Medvedev for example were in Putin’s position I suspect NATO would have long since been annihilated.
I don’t know why Medvedev is making such a ruckus. Possibly because he can do what Putin, as president, is not allowed to do. One can speculate. Progoschin, the boss of Wagner, wiped the floor with German presstitutes. I had to laugh heartily.
https://de.rt.com/international/162883-spiegel-legt-sich-mit-prigoschin-an/
I still think Seymour Hersch is running cover for the commercial empire.
What will become of Hersh’s current investigation into the “US sabotaging pipelines?” Anything earth shattering?
There are secret negotiations going on all the time and all we see is the public face of what is going on.
How many people know that Russia is still pumping natural gas into Ukraine through the EU member state Bulgaria? Who did that deal and why? Russian gas still flows through Ukrainian resident pipelines into EU markets. Look, you guys can destroy the place and kill each other but the pipelines are off limits.
Russia planned into the construction of the Nord Stream pipelines redundant emergency systems just in case – just in case they were sabotaged.
The EU immediately responded after big remote detonated C4 BOOMS went off under the Baltic Sea by saying “the EU vows to protect energy infrastructure.” We are still waiting for an EU “robust response” post blast.
Nord Stream 2 is domiciled in Switzerland. Who met in secret negotiations and what was negotiated pre-BOOM? Who are the investors in Nord Stream and where are their portfolios kept?
The German Munich Re and syndicates within the Lloyd’s of London market are among the major underwriters for Nord Stream 1, the pipeline bringing gas to Europe under the Baltic Sea. Swiss insurer Zurich, also had insurance exposure to Nord Stream 1. Who is liable for the claims? We are talking about hundreds of millions of dollars in exposure.
Prove who was responsible for the big C4 blasts and that is who is going to get tagged for the insurance payout. If not the taxpayers are going to get left holding the bill.
All sanctions do is rearrange shipping agreements on gas, not ending them. BlackRock under Fink created the “energy crisis” to make rearrangements more profitable for investors. BLACKROCK IS INVESTED IN GAZPROM. Figure that angle out and you win a big cigar.
Nope, Hersh doesn’t hack it.
Covered under force majeure or acts of war. No insurance payout!
the only exception to the “acts of war”clause was the WTC destruction.
“BLACKROCK IS INVESTED IN GAZPROM.”
Yup, at the start of th war, BlackRock was the largest of the private investors in Gazprom (which is, in theory, 51% state owned ), followed closely by Citygroup and Vanguard. The other big boys, Lukoil and Rosneft, which are both privately owned (Russia can go fuck itself!), are basically the playhouses of the usual cast of characters, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, Wells Fargo and so on.
President Putin keeps stating that the Russian Federation needs to continue on with its privatization agenda, in order to meet its economic goals, which to me is very strange thing to say when you are supposedly fighting an existential war to the multi-politarity.
Advocating for the continued sell-off Russia’s most important assets to western banks is in the best interests of mother Russia? This is a concept I struggle with.
Again just to be clear. I am a holder of Blackrock Asset Managements Russian ETF. That is an thing called an exchange traded fund. It has been seized by western governments. Skin in the game. Good job discovering this info but your a year late to the game. I’m still waiting on my money from Larry Fink. So here is the concept you need to understand. Americans are thieves at the highest levels. But of course some shmuck is going to take this fact and rally around some fictitious parody of liberty and pursuit of happiness and go on a profanity laden tirade of how I am some commie fruitcake. Generally what happens when children find out Santa Claus is not real. But children still believe in “free” markets and all that nonsense. And then sit in anticipation of what the “fed” will do with interest rates. At least I can admit I have been conned. The only honest boomer you will find these days. Insert Laugh track.
Maybe the buyers have promised Putin protection for a favorable deal. Kind of a shake-down, but with Vasoline involved. Putin would be an idiot to go for it.
La Grande Conspiracion!! ….. Bien joué
The US has no scruples and uses the enemy of my enemy is my friend principle which has come back to screw them I’m 9/11 and countless other scenarios. But they never learn so yes terrorism is coming to mainland Brlarus and Russia. However two can play at that game and the US may wish it hadn’t let that genie out of the bottle. In the meantime Russia crushes 100% od Ukraine and shows NATO to be a big fat loser and good for nothing except selling its weapons to its own members.
Well people prepare.Load up with food, water, ammo, get a portable solar panel to charge your electronics and a short wave radio. Short Wave Radios will make a come back when the internet fails.Get a folding bike. There may be some gas some diesel . But your electric car will be hard to charge. check your car tires, battery, coolant, engine oil levels . Be ready to move.Plan for your families needs.Get your teeth checked. You have no control of what is going to happen. But you can take care of yourself. Your family. A saying I picked up in the Army. If you hear the bullets .Your ok .You are still alive. If you do not hear the bullets .You are dead and it does not matter. There really is nothing we can do . It is out of our control,
The MSM is now pumping the hysteria level to new highs to prepare us for war. Balloons, UFOs’ we are being attacked – it is happening and it happened before. The big smash is coming as predicted astrologically for March/April 2023.
There have been four fires reported in Russia over the past 5 days. Acts of terrorism… Highly likely.
1) In the north-east of Moscow, a car service is on fire – the fire has been assigned the second rank of danger.
2) In Myshkin, Yaroslavl Region, an explosion occurred on the reserve line of the main gas pipeline.
3) A warehouse caught fire in Krasnoyarsk.
4) Evolution tower under construction in Moscow. The insulation and building materials on the 4th floor caught fire.
In other news (timeline would be just before the fires breaking out in Russia)…
ZEROHEDGE ARTICLE: The Ohio freight car “accident” whereby five of the freight cars which contained pressurized vinyl chloride, a highly flammable carcinogenic gas, has received little coverage. Phosgene in particular is a highly toxic gas that can cause vomiting and respiratory trouble. The toxicity of phosgene gas is so potent that it was previously used as a chemical weapon during the First World War. Animals and fish are reportedly dying in the area.
Accident? or a retaliatory measure by Russian operatives as a warning against supplying the Kiev regime with chemical weapons? Possibly a message to Washington and/or the Pentagon that they have means and ways of waging “war” on US soil without missiles.
Recently a video was released by the Ukrainian side showing what was said to be canisters filled with a chemical substance. Moscow reported that Kiev was using chemical weapons. Canisters dropped by drones. One of their soldiers died and the others are hospitalised with burns and respiratory problems. They have subsequently requested a meeting with the OSCE to address this issue.
May be just a conspiracy theory on my part… but seems oddly coincidental.
“Fascinating, captain.” ~ Spock
That’s done pre-emptively here to get out ahead of the curve in case they find the need to say that Russia is terrorizing America already. You’re dreaming if you think the RF has the capability to pull off acts like that inside the US. They can’t even arrange an invasion of Ukraine.

Live Updates: All Victims in Michigan State Shooting Were Students, Police Say.
Three students were killed and five others are in critical condition after the shooting on the university’s campus. The police said a caller’s tip led them to the gunman, who was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2023/02/14/us/michigan-state-shooting
I suppose you also believe that all the school and campus shootings of the last few years are done by lone nuts. Familiar with the Kent State shootings during the Vietnam war which shut down all the campuses nationwide across the US and was a critical factor in shutting down the war eventually? Guess what – there’s not going to be student protests now. I wonder why. This is domestic terrorism organized by the world (US) rulers and planned far in advance. And the yokels think it’s their 2nd Amendment rights being protected.
In other news, Bisexual Superman with gender changed lesbian ex-husband or wife Supergirl has reportedly saved America from nonexistent hoax Weather Baloon UFOs flying over Lake Huron!
@Pito from Mescalito: As soon as you said “You’re dreaming if you think the RF has the capability to pull off acts like that inside the US. THEY CAN’T EVEN PULL OFF AN INVASION”, — You lost all credibility. I’m not even going to read the rest of the dribble you’ve written.
I would suggest however that you take a look at the Ukrainian MOD territorial map outlining ground “events”. You will see shaded areas which are under Russian control. Territory the size of Belgium and the Netherlands combined. Russia is winning alone while EU/NATO are losing together!
“Maybe it’s just a conspiracy theory on my part… but it seems a strange coincidence.”
This is a 100% coincidence.
I do not and cannot prove this thesis, but I am convinced that the Russian special services will never commit such meanness as the use of chemical weapons against ordinary people and fauna. Even against the enemy army will not be used.
Remember Mariupol and Azovstal. There were suggestions from some people to use gas to smoke the Azov regiment out of the basements of Azovstal and save the lives of Russian soldiers. The Russian command did not go for it. I perfectly understand why this turned out to be unacceptable.
As a supplement for a better understanding of those standards that are firmly embedded in the collective unconscious of Russians. I was lucky enough to be born after the Second World War, but the memory of the brutality of the war was very, very strong among the people. I was a child and was afraid of a repeat of the war. I remember this fear, from which I cried for no reason before going to bed – I cried from sudden longing. But my mother did not forget to repeat: “We fought with the Nazis, but not with the German people. The German people are not to blame. We have defeated the Nazis, they are no more, so there will be no more war. There’s nothing to be afraid of anymore.”
I did not know about the plan codenamed “Unthinkable” attack on the USSR in August 1945, developed by Churchill, and no one knew.
The Russians used gas to take out Chechen terrorists from the Moscow theater. And that killed 170 “ordinary people”. Given bad enough circumstances I think that any culture will use whatever means they have access to.
@Gera: I have to admit, I do agree with you “that the Russian special services will never commit such meanness as the use of chemical weapons against ordinary people and fauna. Even against the enemy army will not be used.”
Putin is showing great restraint and seems to make decisions with integrity. He doesn’t appear to be a tit-for-tat person who plays dirty.
I was just watching a video on YT a little earlier this morning after I posted my comment, in which Tucker Carlson mentions that sabotage incidents have been happening quite often in the US on railway lines, not to mention critical infrastructure. In fact, a chemical disaster is not the first in recent years.
I’m now leaning towards “instant karma”. LOL
There’s been a lot of “boomerang” effects happening where the EU says or does something towards Russia and it hits them 10x worse. Cause and effect. With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Also, the Soviet Union had by far the world’s largest stockpile of chemical weapons. I doubt they kept it just for display… The following is from Federation of American Scientist, so it’s probably biased but Russia has never denied the Soviet Union’s enormous chemical weapons capacity:
“The Russian Federation is the home of the former Soviet stockpile of chemical weapons consisting of a declared stockpile of nearly 40,000 metric tons of chemical nerve, blister and choking agents. According to some reports, the total stockpile exceeds 50,000 tons, with an additional 32,300 ton stockpile of phosphorus agents.
During World War II, production of all types of chemical agents increased dramatically. Yperite alone was produced by 30 plants with a total capacity of 35,000 tons/year, and Lewisite was produced by 13 plants. Industrial production of sarin began in 1958-1959, production of soman began in 1967, and industrial production of V-agents began in 1972. In the early 1980’s special storage facilities were built at industrial sites in Volgograd, Novocheboksarsk, Zaporozhye, Pavlodar, Volsk, and a number of other cities.”

@Gog
It’s true.
The USSR accumulated all types of weapons after the war until 1991. Hungry people, mostly women, worked hard at defense factories.
27 million dead citizens in World War II, the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki hardly contributed to the carelessness of the authorities of the Soviet Union.
And how many Americans died in WWII?
I agree with you. They would pick a hardened military target to prove a point.
If this were not an accident like the dozens of food facilities and poultry facilities being burned, I’d look closer to home for the culprit.
We may have a dirty bomb coming. A ship with nuclear waste went to Poland (which doesn’t have nuclear power) a week or two ago. The cargo could now be ready for for further delivery by airmail to Moscow, Crimea or Donetsk.
There was a post the other day of a Swedish ship docking into a Polish port and the crew became sick possibly down to radiation. I can’t verify but the prospect of a dirty bomb to take out massive RF troops is still a slight possibly perhaps.
Dear Scotland;
If that were ever to happen, kiss all our asses goodbye because that’s when the silo doors pop.
Soltenberg tamper tantrum for ammo yesterday was worth watching. Anyway he won’t be NATO commander for long now , as his retirement was already scheduled and has been accepted.
What kind of nuts is NATO gonna choose next now the evil masterplan is derailing hard ? A Warmonger without ammunition or a peacemonger without any power ?
What kind of nuts is NATO gonna choose next now the evil masterplan is derailing hard ?
Freeland of course….and all meetings will begin with a stiff arm salute and a slava ukraini instead of a handshake. Covid rules, you know.
The neocons and their idiot puppet Biden are turning this country into an agent of evil. Their behavior is disgusting. Someone should send Victoria Nuland to her room without a box of sufganiyots.
One might also ponder if the craziness of the Biden Administration is why the Sy Hersh article came out. Some factions may be trying to undermine the looney tunes in power??
Too bad most Americans are too distracted by Rihanna’s sizable butt or cowering in fear of evil Chinese balloons.
“The Biden Administration and our European allies either are preparing for a major military action in the Ukraine war or they know something bad is going to happen soon, ”
Well they have a pretty good track record in predictions.
They knew Russia was going to invade Ukraine (even if they were probably still waiting for the false flag invasion to trigger the Ukrainian attack on Donbas – pity the Ukrainians weren’t defending their northern and southern borders).
And apparently everyone knew the Turkish/Syrian earth quake was about to happen:
https://www.voltairenet.org/article218842.htmlhttps://www.voltairenet.org/article218842.html
One minute before seismographers detected the earthquake, Turkish gas and oil pipelines were shut down (NB. This is the only allegation we were unable to verify).
24 hours before the earthquake, 10 Western countries recalled their ambassadors from Ankara.
5 days before the earthquake, several Western countries, including Romania, issued a travel warning to Turkey without providing a motivation.
Of course they knew it was going to happen. They spent years setting the stage for it, then doing everything they could to trigger it.
120,000 Nazi troops massing to invade the Donbass, massive increase of shelling the civilians in Dines and Luhansk, having their sawdust brained VP Harris blather on about Ukraine joining NATO, having the Cocaine Cowboy publicly state he wanted to host nuclear missiles.
All that with torpedoing a workable peace plan between Russia and Ukraine.
What the frack else did anyone expect to happen?
It’s not as crazy as you might think.
LBJ’s “Atoms For Peace” program in the 60s envisaged uses for nukes such as digging another Panama Canal – quickly and inexpensively- with the help of nukes. But they were discovered to cause earthquakes, so it wasn’t given approval at the time.
But think of all the advances since then in horizontal drilling as applied to fracking. And advances in material science, computing and weapon design.
Here’s an brief little book on the subject.

The West has truly gone batshit crazy
https://t.me/mod_russia_en/6141
Larry, I suggest you read yesterday’s post on Moon of Alabama.
Let’s see who loses from the Pipeline sabotage:
1. The US is definitely painted as a rogue terrorist nation, who’s allies can trust her, not to sacrifice them.
2. Germany’s People, industry and reputation as an occupied territory are hurting or exposed.
3. Russia and four partner nations in the pipeline venture lost a great deal of income and one estimate to repair the pipeline is $1.3 billion, some multiple times more.
Who benefits:
1. The Neocons as useful idiots.
2. Norway just opened their gas line to Poland.
3. The US gas suppliers.
4. And, most of all, the City of London and their RESET to save their Ponzi scheme from collapsing for all to see.
Now, with all due respect to Mr. Larry Johnson, with reference to this part of the article “… the United States under the control of a feeble Joe Biden, who authorized blowing up the Nord Stream 2 pipeline…), I have a question. When was the United States of America, the country we all love, under the control of a US President, going back, let’s say to 1913? Going back and looking at everything that was self inflicted on the US of A by its presidents’ decisions, a reasonable person would conclude, our presidents benefitted someone else not their People. Is it true today? Yes.
Could it just be that our government has always had two waring factions, one patriotic and another controlled?
If we entertain this possibility, so many issues would begin to make sense.
One of them would be, that the main beneficiaries of the destruction of Nordstream 1&2 are the Reset Group.
Peace, all I seek is the Truth.
The way I read it, Hillary was supposed to win in 2016. We would be in a nuclear war(uranium one was in there somewhere) and we were supposed to be defeated, constitution void along with the second amendment. As far as I can tell the plan continues to this day. The surprise is that Russia is so good and may be more prepared than us. Don’t underestimate Russian ingenuity. And they take The welfare of their people seriously as if there will be tomorrow as opposed to our open border, Chemtrails, vaccine madness and on and on.
A few odd things I noticed.
One Hersh questions that blowing up the pipeline might not be illegal because there is no treaty agreement that we will not blow up other peoples pipelines? That makes no sense. Vandalism of other people’s or country’s property is clearly a criminal act!
The other is the total lack of any mention of the US role in this. Russia clearly named “Anglo Saxons ” as the guilty party, clearly pointing the finger at the UK.
Liz Truss’s “It’s done” message one minute after the explosions is certainly not coincidence.
I am starting to think this whole story might be a limited hangout.
In no way do I think the US is in any way “innocent” here, but I have nagging doubts that this is the whole story.
Why would Nuland and Biden spill the beans to the world with their statements about ending Nordstream 2?
If they were trying to keep this a secret from Congress while planning the operation was in the planning stages, why clue anyone in?
I think this is Act II of the mystery but by no means the full story.
The idea that Britain is the one pulling our strings is not an uncommon one.
I would not be surprised at all if UK intelligence had thoroughly penetrated all levels of our government and thus knew about this op.
Yes, either way, I anxious await the unfolding of the whole story.
Sy really hasn’t told us anything we didn’t already know.
If you are truly interested in how the UK penetrated the US Foreign Service this is a must read book by Professor Carroll Quigley of Georgetown University.
He had access to all files.
He was an insider who wrote the book.
He stipulated it could not be published until his death to protect his family.
When it was 1st published the CIA bought out all the run of published books.
It goes back as far as Cecil Rhodes. It was during the WW2 that they made their big push on both the US and Canadian Governments.
It continues today. Who worked to take down and blunt President Trump?

I meant the UK not the US, seems MI-6 has penetrated my cell phone.
“…Al Qaida is on our side…”, dixit Mephistopheles Jake, and stupid me who believed that the evil organization blew up the towers on its volition! No, it appears that it still was giving fealty to its mentor and progenitor CIA from back in the olden Afghan days. Otherwise, why would it be on the side of the nation it proclaims publicly to be Satan incarnate? It just doesn’t add up no matter how you compute the sum of the parts. This declaration by the main natsec authority is proof that Al Qaida never broke its original fealty to its mentor the CIA but was acting all that time under its orders to carry out terrorist actions that culminated with the twin towers bombing on behalf of the Deep State. It is a necessary conclusion, 9/11 was engineered to induce, firstly, the reconfiguration of the American political map with the freedom-killer Patriot Act and, secondly, getting the citizenry to applaud the Iraq war followed by the implementation of the Neo-con grand-scheme to redraw the political map of MENA inherited from Sykes-Picot’s time. It’s all clear now; that’s what they meant by “the peace dividend” in the nineties.
Viewed from this perspective, Putin was right: the fall of the USSR was one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century. We’ve been paying the consequences ever since, and it’s far from over.
If Bin Laden was angry at someone in America betraying him, why the Pentagon on 911 and not the CIA? A question no one asked.
Norway reports this morning that the whole Russian Northern Fleet has put to sea.
And for the 1st time in 30 years all will be armed with nuclear missiles.
Putin gives his big Feb 21st speech on the state of the Federation.
Maybe a big announcement

No need for a Russian fleet Pearl Harbor? All hands on deck.
I think the interesting development will be when Germany sues the culprits for consequential damages. I am not sure how international law works but there must be some form of mechanism to do this.
The reason that Hersh left Britain out of the story is debatable but the “Its Done” comment by Truss to Blinken shortly after the explosion is indicative of their involvement.
I get the feeling when you look at Russia’s mobilisation plans that they are gearing up for a long protracted war that will last many years and might even be for perpetual war. Could it end up like the thirty years war that was ended by The Peace of Westphalia?
Germans shame and pain has been successfully internalised to mentally castrate them.
Used to be called buckbraking in slave days. It still works.
I pity the pool fools that attempt to terrorize the Russians inside of Russia. Perhaps a reminder about how Russia deals with terrorism and terrorists would be timely.

Ukrainian notices in Bakhmut: this house would be set on fire to set a smoke screen for defenders retreat. If you have anything of value – take it out of the building before that.
There is something a foot…..Wagner PMC seen in Belorussia….means the Russian swing into Odessa before NATO gets there is happening…You are all forgetting that mutually assured destruction only works when everyone involved wants no destruction. A typical State does what’s beneficial to it’s national interest because it has a vested interest in that Nation and it’s people…if a State is run by a group that does not reside in that Nation nor has any affection or loyalty to that Nation then policies will not beneficial to that Nation. What you are seeing is a death cult manipulating the world along a path to destruction…in accordance to ancient laid out plans….self fulfilling prophecy….the willful destruction of mankind and the Nations so they can rule the very small remnant left over from their new capital in a certain city…in a certain middle eastern country. They are playing out the word for word depiction of last book of the new testament…..the apocalypse of revelation and the simple minded will think it’s divine intervention and submit….just sayin
Larry, how about a little conspiracy. Earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Another earthquake in Romania. They are already approaching the combat zone. I don’t know of any significant turning points in Romania. Today, only Russia and the USA, and perhaps even China, can cause these natural disasters from the earth’s orbit. Why couldn’t the next earthquake be in Ukraine, for example in the vicinity of Chernobyl??? NATO’s plan is to blame it on Russia. This should ensure that NATO has access to eliminate the disaster and stop the fighting. NATO remains in Ukraine forever. Harsh but last resort for NATO to avert NATO defeat, stay in Eastern Europe and avert WWIII. So far my conspiracies have always worked. Now I hope I’m wrong. I would like to.
The more I listen to Hersh and re-read the article, the more I think he is being played.
The comment about Brexit being a national suicide pact was out of place, and makes no sense. The EU was slowly strangling the UK economy with stacks of moronic useless regulations and other rules.
The EU is the 4th Reich. Getting out was the smartest thing the UK has done in a long time.
Correct. I don’t buy Hersh’s story one bit.
You have not been paying attention. The UK is slowly headed back to the EC. Current leadership does not embrace Brexit.
We did not certainly need Hersh to tell us who the guilty party is. Only dim-wits and brainwashed individuals would not know it (it never was a question of suspicion, it was the knowledge of the criminal) It is of course useful that a prominent man expose the origen and nature of the crime, but it does not add any certainty to the case.
Regarding Brexit, the man shows he is intellectually and emotionally part of the ruling cabal, of the globalist beast. Brexit has been a chance for Britain and other slave countries to brake free from the European corporate-fascist mafia; of course, Britain is ruled by such a gang, but it now has the chance to do something about it, which it did not have as a slave to the fascist contraption.
Concerning the man himself; he is fully possessed by US propaganda regarding Russia, its economics and politics. He is bold and ignorant enough to call Gazprom an oligarch-owned enterprise – when it is a state-owned company; he mentions in passing the “oligarchs” and Putin – when all Russian oligarchs fled Russia soon after Putin came to power, because, of course, they were thoroughly stripped of their ability to run the political establishment in Russia (that’s precisely the difference between a banker or industrialist and an oligarch – the first two submit to the political power and obey the laws of the land; the third one owns the means of production and makes the laws and breaks them at will. Just consider the US economic/financial/political system; it is truly ruled by an oligarchical system of government)
doesn’t this make the u.s. an international terrorist?
and now, for the whole world to clearly see.
who really, secretly, runs this place?
get rid of them.
then the country can get better.
Have this tendency to over simplify messy stuff. So this pipe bomb is such an overwhelming example of an act of war. Aimed at Russia but mostly at Germany and her European allies who indirectly purchased energy from Russia as well.
So if there were any courageous warriors in this, they would have followed their act of war, with a declaration of such. Instead we get threatening bravado, followed by obfuscating shoulder shrugs, and heartfelt joy over the results of an unknown aggressor.
Not exactly the in your face, what you gonna do bout it, smirking growl we expect after decades of Hollywood brain washing. More like the sniveling, punk in the basement taunts, from an effete, internet troll, who got away with poisoning a bear at the zoo and is afraid to show its face, never mind fists.
So what is most revealing? These folks attacked both sides of the next world war they anticipate full profit from!
Oh by the way, the bear lived and trusts no one, any more.
We need a investigative journalist hero that isn’t so old.
Thanks for posting the Ames interview. But it was shit on Ames part. Ames barely asked about the story Hersh wrote and posted. Ames mostly asked about Hersh’s past stories and experience like he was some clueless student at Columbia. It seemed like Hersh was losing patience with Ames and just abruptly ended the interview.
I have read some pieces by Ames and some of his Tweeter posts. He comes off as decidedly anti-Putin and buying into Western anti-Russian tropes. Hersh even says at one point that his piece by extension might help Putin (as a point of attack on him). Ames to me obviously avoided talking about the pipeline story to avoid being smeared by his “secular Left” friends as Max Blumenthal calls them.
Taking into context Mr. Hersh’s subsequent German interview pointing out the confusion among the secret planners , post Nordstream expose’, and the finality of the US State Department’s dire warning;
“,b>Do not travel to Russia due to the unpredictable consequences of the unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces, the potential for harassment and the singling out of U.S. citizens for detention by Russian government security officials, the arbitrary enforcement of local law, limited flights into and out of Russia, the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, and the possibility of terrorism,”
one could draw the conclusion that these are desperate, reprehensible actors.
How are these Terrorists going to get into Russia and Belarus?
“(The West is)… preparing for a major military action in the Ukraine war or they know something bad is going to happen soon, probably in Belarus, because warnings were just issued for foreign citizens to bug out of Belarus and Russia”
In my travels through Telegram, I’ve come across more than a few Belarusian neo-Nazis fighting on the Ukrainian side as well as a much smaller number of Russians. I’ve no real idea how large that movement in Belarus really is, but it may be large enough to cause real trouble if funded and armed like the Uke versions. That there’s a fairly large Western backed “Leftist” movement is well known. Put the two together and a Maidan-in-Minsk becomes a genuine threat. Less so in Russia, but both St. Petersburg and Moscow could see some blood on the streets.
OTOH, perhaps NATO has in fact concluded that its Do-or-Die moment is at hand and decided to play the only non-nuke card they’ve got left, namely air power. If NATO has reconciled itself to large losses of pilots and aircraft, it may try a bluff in the hope that Russia will abort the “Winter Offensive” everyone seems to be sure is coming rather than escalate to the next level.
It’s starting to look like an obvious loss for NATO in Ukraine, and we see the side-show distractions like the balloons, and now the jets scrambled to “intercept” Russian planes “near” American airspace. More crazy narrative. Alaska shares a border with….;. Russia! Gee, maybe it would be fairly routine for Russian planes to fly in and near Russia. Just a thought.
The Empire is running low on narratives to dodge their way out of this mess and seems to be trying to buy time. I think it’s obvious enough they really don’t want to exchange nukes with Russia, a losing proposition to any sane person. And now it’s becoming clear they can’t support a conventional engagement with Russia in Europe, as they’re running out of munitions trying to support what is a pretty limited conflict. If it got big, Russia could blow all the way to Germany fairly quickly, as all the (limited and undersupplied) NATO forces are positioned east, mainly in Poland.
They’re in a pickle, and, as usual, haven’t thought anything through, still running on the notion that chest-pounding, bluff, bluster and BS can scare Russia. Shooting down balloons, travel advisories, scrambling jets and talking big about supporting Ukraine don’t matter when you don’t have the stuff to back it up. And then there’s China sitting back, waiting, knowing their time is coming soon.
It all reminds me of WWF tag-team wrestling, when the “bad guys” corner the “good guy” in their corner and take turns working him over. Between Russia and China, that’s what they’re doing militarily and economically, metaphorically kicking the crap out of a mentally impaired opponent. And dementia Joe is a good metaphor for NATO right now.
this may be a little controversial. i do not celebrate valentines day for the reason below . about as pagan as it gets in my opinion.

Sy Hersh mentioned the bombing of germany in ww2 in his interview for some reason. today is the 78th anniversary of one of the controversial days of ww2. i do not believe the bombing of dresden or tokyo were the allies finest hour. am sending not for any politcal views portrayed ; but for what happened when the war was basically over.

this is only superseded by the tokyo bombing a month later which if 16 square miles of buildings made mainly out of paper and wood went up; my opinion probably up to a million died- mainly women and children. They had nowwhere to run or hide and the buildings would have gone up like matchsticks.

this reminds of me of this classic clip from a clint eastwood movie. My opinion during ww1 and ww2 the world collectively lost its soul and has never gotten it back . May almighty God have mercy on our souls for with what looks like coming around the bend ; we all need it.

In a Sputnik article today, Scott Ritter suggests that the West scuttled the April negotiations and kept the war going so they could “… put the pieces in place to shut down Nord Stream 2, which was the objective”.
Scott has an interesting hypothesis as it raises the possibility that we might be looking at the whole war backwards. Hersh’s timeline has the Nordstream hit being planned some 2 mos before the war starts. If that is so, perhaps the primary purpose of the war itself was to provide context for the pipeline hit.
While Europe went all-in on the sanctions and media strategy to “weaken Russia”, the US was making its own plans for weakening Europe.
BTW, Mark Milley told a Brussels audience today that:
“Russia is now a global pariah and the world remains inspired by Ukrainian bravery and resilience. In short, Russia has lost — they’ve lost strategically, operationally, and tactically.”
For Milley, “the world” consists of an echo chamber containing the USA and its satraps. In that world, US/NATO’s success is undeniable: The US now owns Europe outright, the Germans are now unter-satraps, and Russia’s aspirations to satrapy have been dashed forever. Glory days.
Well, I’m about the 200th comment on this article, so I’m probably tossing a grain of sand onto the beach, but I’ll have my say anyway.
Have I got this right?…
Seymour Hersch is refusing to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson because he doesn’t like his conservative politics? He acknowledges that Carlson is absolutely right about the Ukranian War. Tucker Carlson has several million followers, but because they follow him, they don’t have the right politics either. No other major news outlet will touch his article except to trash it. But nevertheless, only the “right kind” of people should have access to this information?
Talk about shooting yourself in the left foot! There are a HUGE number of people in this country who are against this war and the military-industrial complex in general, but most likely the majority of them are populists and conservatives and (dare I even type his name?) Trump followers. You mention that to an anti-war activist and they just roll their eyes in frustration. I guess it’s better to be in the minority that to have the “wrong people” on your side. This is so disheartening! The deep state uniparty definitely has the right tactic — divide and conquer.
Your comment is much more than a grain of sand on a beach!
“This is so disheartening!”
First I’ve heard of it, but it’s almost unbelievable that Hersh would take such a stance. Not only does Tucker command the largest audience, he’s the only Western corporate media personality who’s given his article positive space on air.
That Hersh is denying him an interview while talking to Jacobin and Berliner Zeitung proves that ideology poisons everything.
i have to remind everyone that the motivation of hershs and his leakers are not exactly for the benefit of truth and mankind. it is most certainly they have nefarious deeds and mostly political aim to dethrone current administration and their supporters.. once these russophoic warmongers in current administration are replaced , then the new warmonger group will become the ruling elite and this time it is sinophobic warmongers.
that america is doomed practically shown by these silly political circus from both right and left .. the real american patriots do not have a voice in this m they are just along for the ride to wherever their neocon overlords drive ..
american govt did this because they are putting themselves as the empire of the world and it is the same behaviour like past empires they need to keep their leash and appearance in front of the world.. which already saw the american facade crumbling down.
the hatred many posted here are toward these american empire neocons and not to american people , but i saw many ‘posters’ or should i say ‘trolls/gatekeepers’ trying to stifle discussion by claiming ‘you hate america!!’ .. the same gatekeeping done by col pat lang the hypocrite oldman in SST..
“Canada…because of the risk of arbitrary application of local laws…”
Like its any different in canada?!?
An excellent interview with Hersh on Democracy Now:

Sending terrorists isn’t going to make the Russians quit in the Ukraine. It will only strengthen their resolve and then maybe blow up all electricity in the Ukraine for good measure.
