Following two months of provocations and threats from the United States, Vladimir Putin announced a major policy change regarding intermediate-range missiles that pushes the world to the brink of nuclear war. While the mainstream media has largely ignored Russia’s announcement that it would no longer abide by the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), a few podcasters — e.g., Danny Davis and Alexander Mercouris — recognized both the importance and danger inherent in this decision and discussed this at length during their respective shows. This is not Russia going rogue. Putin’s decision was an unambiguous response to a series of foolish and reckless actions by the United States since June 1st of this year.
The Spiderweb attack on Russia’s strategic bomber force on June 1st, using drones deployed from hidden compartments in semi-trucks, was a dangerous provocation, although little damage was inflicted. Twelve days later, Israel launched a decapitation attack on Iran — that too thankfully failed — using the same drone tactic employed in Russia just weeks earlier. In mid-July the Russians listened in shock to General Christopher Donahue, Commander of US European Command (USEUCOM) describe how NATO has tested plans to quickly overrun and capture Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave. At the same time, Trump re-deployed B61-12 nuclear gravity bombs to at least six airfields in Europe, including the UK’s Lakenfield. Lastly, Trump brashly announced the deployment of two nuclear submarines with the specific mission of being in position to strike Russia. [NOTE: This was most likely a symbolic statement because submarines with that mission were already on station.]
The Trump administration also has announced that it will begin deploying intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBMs) and other long-range fire capabilities in Europe starting in 2026, with Germany as the initial host country for these systems. This deployment specifically includes advanced missile systems such as the Typhoon and Dark Eagle, which have been referenced in recent official communications and news reports. The Typhon Missile System (Mid-Range Capability) is a mobile, ground-launched system that fires multiple missile types (not a missile itself, but a multi-missile platform). It can fire the Tomahawk Land Attack Missile, which has a range of 1,500–2,500 km, or the SM-6, which has a range of 320 km. The Dark Eagle is a Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon, aka LRHW, with a range of 2,775 km. The Dark Eagle hypersonic missile, after several failed attempts from 2021–2023, has been successfully tested. The system achieved its first successful end-to-end flight test in June 2024, followed by a second successful test in December 2024.
It is worth reviewing the INF Treaty that Donald Trump cancelled in 2018:
Major Points of the INF Treaty
- Elimination of Intermediate- and Shorter-Range Missiles:
- The treaty required the US and Soviet Union to eliminate all ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges between 500 and 5,500 kilometers (approximately 300–3,400 miles), including both nuclear and conventional variants.
- Intermediate-range (1,000–5,500 km) and shorter-range (500–1,000 km) missiles were targeted, covering systems like the US Pershing II and Soviet SS-20 Saber.
- By June 1, 1991, both parties were to complete the destruction of these missiles and their launchers, resulting in the elimination of 2,692 missiles (1,846 Soviet, 846 US).
- Prohibition on Production and Testing:
- The treaty banned the production, flight-testing, or possession of ground-launched intermediate- and shorter-range missiles after the elimination deadline.
- This applied to both nuclear and conventional missiles within the specified range, ensuring no new systems could replace those destroyed.
- Scope and Exclusions:
- The treaty covered ground-launched missiles only, excluding air-launched and sea-launched systems (e.g., submarine- or ship-based missiles like the US Tomahawk).
- It applied to missiles regardless of warhead type (nuclear or conventional), making it comprehensive within its range category.
- Support structures, such as launchers and associated equipment, were also to be destroyed or rendered unusable.
- Verification and Inspection:
- The treaty established a robust verification regime, including on-site inspections, data exchanges, and continuous monitoring of missile production facilities to ensure compliance.
- A Special Verification Commission was created to resolve compliance disputes, with inspections continuing for 13 years after 1991 (until 2001).
- Both sides provided detailed inventories of their missile systems and destruction sites.
- Indefinite Duration:
- The treaty was of unlimited duration, meaning it remained in force until a party withdrew (as the US did in 2019, citing Russian non-compliance with the 9M729 missile).
- Either party could withdraw with six months notice if they believed their supreme interests were jeopardized.
- Global Application:
- The treaty prohibited deploying covered missiles anywhere in the world, not just in Europe, addressing concerns about Soviet SS-20s targeting Asia and US Pershing IIs in Europe.
- It applied to missiles stationed in allied territories (e.g., US missiles in NATO countries, Soviet missiles in Warsaw Pact states).
That treaty has prevented nuclear war in Europe for 37 years. Now, with Trump’s nuclear sabre rattling, Putin has put Trump on notice… Any IRBMs introduced to Europe will be destroyed. When that happens — mind you, I don’t say “if” — we will be at the very threshold of a nuclear nightmare. I don’t think Trump will get a Nobel Peace Prize out of this.

We need to examine some root causes as to how and why the American people have actually elected an incompetent, bellicose, arrogant, ignorant buffoon who actually accused migrants of eating pigeons and cats and dogs in Springfield IL during his campaign rallies and still got elected. During his first term with his inept handling of the Covid pandemic he, on TV, advised people to ‘drink bleach’. It is the American population who are in sync with this abomination of a president. It is the American people who are ill educated, ill informed, war mongering and badly brought up just like Trump is. You in the US get your news segregated out by state and region. For a nightly across the country news channel you get biased half hour marshmallow fluff news. NBC, ABC etc. Then you get extreme right wing idiotic Fox news and CNN. Your DNA is still slaughtering and exterminating Native American tribes – even as late as the 1950s when you eliminated the Siletz Tribe. (Source: Virgin Music ‘Sacred Spirit’ CD flyer). You brought about the starvation of the German people after WWI with your atrocious Treaty of Versailles which over burdened the German people with reparations of cash only to the US. Churchill argued for exchange of goods and services but you the US were having none of it. The Germans had to crash their currency with Adolf Hitler at the helm and literally rise the country out of desperation. Whatever happened after that the Jews wanted to do first in their Zionist genocidal mandate against the citizens of Palestine which pre-dates that of Adolf Hitler’s by several decades. It was the jews themselves who first mandated a holocaust against the Palestinians. One can only surmise that Hitler read one of the many Zionist pamphlet and presumed to commit genocide was acceptable behaviour. It is not but it is not stopping the jews nor has it done for over 80 years. So let’s all get educated, informed and stop with your utterly stupid senators, members of congress, cabinet, president and your inability to accept that other countries in the world exist with equal rights and without the expectation of having the US declare physical war, coups or economic war. We’re sick of you because you’re not fit to be the policemen of the world. Your country is only 250 years old.
Greetings, Larry and friends from all over the world.
Larry has touched on the subject of the nuclear threat looming over the world, primarily due to the reckless actions of the US government. The empire refuses to give up; it wants to maintain world domination by any means necessary. They think: If we don’t win the game, then we’ll kick the table and everyone will lose. But they still hold onto hope that in their bunkers, which they’ve been preparing for many years, they can emerge unscathed and later go out to rebuild the world they themselves destroyed.
A supremely evil person prefers to destroy everything rather than lose the game. This is how they behave; they have no turning back. They also know that when the tables are turned, the entire world will turn against them for the many crimes they have spread across the planet, filling humanity with misery. This isn’t the first time, although official history doesn’t recognize or accept it.
Civilizations before ours self-destructed by straying from their path and using all the science and technology they possessed for domination, ambition, power, and world conquest. Atlantis wasn’t destroyed by a nuclear cataclysm, but Lemuria, a precursor in time, was. At that time, they also discovered nuclear energy, but they used it so terribly to build deadly weapons that that civilization self-destructed first by a nuclear war and then by the geological consequences caused by it, which unleashed volcanoes, earthquakes, and gigantic floods.
Today, only a few vestiges remain, such as islands in the Pacific Ocean and a few other places, archaeological remains that modern science is unable to locate. The intense volcanic and seismic activity that persists on the Pacific Plate today corresponds to those distant origins. This area and its surroundings are home to the highest altitude (Mount Everest, 8,848 m) and deepest (Mariana Trench, 11,034 m) on the planet. It’s no coincidence that it’s the most active and largest plate on Earth.
Remains scattered here and there, which archaeologists and scientists are unable to pinpoint, bear witness to a glorious past that ended in disaster.
The problem with current science is that it doesn’t recognize (because it isn’t interested) the existence of civilizations prior to ours that enjoyed a high degree of scientific and technological development. Numerous discoveries around the world challenge and continue to challenge the official version, as silent witnesses to a distant past that no one remembers anymore.
Humanity was given the knowledge of atomic energy not to build weapons, not to divert the entire process toward nuclear fission, instead of nuclear fussion. They are two opposite ways of obtaining energy from the atom: one is correct, appropriate, and beneficial; the other is wrong, mistaken, and extremely harmful.
Why did everything move toward fission and not fusion? Because the dark ones who plan evil against humanity intentionally diverted the original project, stemming from Einstein’s theories, to give it a different and very horrible twist.
The film Openheimer should have been titled something like this: “The dark criminal who made the destruction of planet Earth and humanity possible.”
From then on, Pandora’s Box was opened (although it had been open for millennia) because, according to Greek legend, Prometheus stole the Fire of the Gods (knowledge) and brought it to humans. But by misusing that knowledge, all the disasters contained in Pandora’s Box came about. Curiously, when all the evils had finally emerged from the box to spread throughout the Earth to torment the human beings who had made such a grave mistake, the last thing to emerge from the box was… Hope!
Apparently, “Indra’s dart,” of which accounts remain in ancient Indian texts, albeit distorted, is a Lemurian nuclear weapon, recounted, for example, in the Bhisma Parva (Mahabharata), which also mentions flying ships, flying “spears” to shoot down ships and attack positions, and the “weapons of Agni” that “devastated the earth, turned nations into dust and the ground into molten glass.” The famous Vimanas also recount some of the technological splendor of the past.
Legends, fantasy, imagination?
The truth is that a moral can be drawn from this: if human beings misuse knowledge, they destroy themselves and the world around them.
We see, for example, that with the so-called Industrial Revolution that occurred after Watt’s invention of the steam engine, humanity could have been enormously liberated by finally being able to delegate so many tasks to machines, achieving a much better quality of life, working a few hours a day, and devoting the rest of their time to developing fully as human beings without the enslavement of an abusive workday. We could undoubtedly have made this world a paradise. But it wasn’t to be. One is astonished by the conditions to which the magnates and powerful subjected the English population, where even children worked in the factories, exploiting them and stealing their childhood, because from a young age they were turned into a kind of robot slaves, automatons who only had to worry about the operation of the machines.
In other words, instead of harnessing that impulse to liberate, we use that impulse to further enslave humanity. As I think it was Gandhi, the Earth has enough for everyone, but it will never have enough for a small group of powerful people who monopolize everything.
Humanity’s problem has always been the same, yesterday and today! The ruthless selfishness of a few and their ambition for power, and on the other hand, the passivity and ignorance of the multitudes who are unable to throw off that yoke.
So, instead of using this gift from God, the immense amount of energy stored in the nucleus of the atom, for positive purposes, we have once again seized the fire of the gods to misuse knowledge. Will we complain later when Pandora’s box is opened, when it was we ourselves who caused so much disaster?
Ryan Dawson has written an opinion piece about what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I recommend reading it. Larry posted the link here on S21.
I assure you, friends, that everyone who participated in the launching of an atomic bomb (which was even unnecessary, as Bryan explains), everyone who participated in the development of the Manhattan Project, were beings of darkness who had those intentions and those goals, some consciously and others not. Oppenheimer’s supposed remorse is the enormous karma those beings accumulate for committing such an aberrant and horrific use of science. They will be the ones who, later on, will go through the terrible experience of being victims of a nuclear explosion, so they will learn without hesitation that everything you do to others, you do to yourself.
But… it’s logical to assume that despite such terrible destruction as a nuclear war, we won’t get there… right? Well no, the logical assumption is quite the opposite. Given the events and the so-called “Cold War,” it’s likely that we’re heading toward that fatal and dark moment: nuclear war.
World leaders, and specifically Western leaders, influenced and trapped by the dark side, continually direct us toward this, without us knowing how to avoid it.
All conscious people know the real and true risk of this happening. These are not fantasies of the imagination or conspiracy theories; they are real facts that, step by step, are shortening the time remaining to avoid it.
Scott Ritter asks the following question: What would you do if you were six months away from a nuclear war? What would you do to avoid it? That is a very interesting question that reflects the reality of the danger that looms over us. And I ask you, friend of the world… if you knew the world was going to be destroyed, what would you try to do to avoid it today?
We who have hope are convinced that there can be no better or more effective way to save the world than by bringing out from each of us the most beautiful, the best, the most beautiful, the noblest, and the highest, the strong courage to collaborate. Thus, through our thoughts, feelings, and actions, we can spread light throughout the entire world to counteract so much darkness.
The greatest danger is this: Those who dominate the world prefer to destroy it rather than lose their dominion. Everything that is happening today at the geopolitical level has to do with this: the fall of the American empire, and the aspirations of others to take its place and also become an empire, but with a facelift.
Some think that the point of no return occurred around the 1990s, and that disaster will inevitably occur given all subsequent developments and up to today, 2025.
It is as if previous civilizations are shouting at us from time immemorial: Stop, stop continuing like this, the same thing happened to us, and we will self-destruct! Look, now we are nothing but ashes and legends!
Despite all that has been said, and despite the bleak outlook before our eyes, there is hope. Always remember that the last thing to come out of Pandora’s box was Hope!
Why hope?
Well, God knows a lot about nuclear wars and how humanity is capable of annihilating itself by deviating so greatly from its course, and that is precisely why He has everything planned and calculated. What would that God be if He didn’t know all the secrets of the atom? Of course He does, because He created them!
So, there is a plan. We are not alone, we never were. The destruction of planet Earth is not permitted due to certain events related to our Messiah, who managed to save the world from total destruction. A great and terrible event will manifest itself that will be the final point of this civilization and will give rise to the birth of a new humanity, now free from all tyranny or oppression. In that great event, the wheat will be separated from the chaff, meaning the righteous people will remain, and the evil people who refused to rectify their ways will leave.
The clock keeps ticking and approaches midnight… will we be able to stop the clock, which is just seconds away from reaching midnight?
If anything could save the world, it would be the love of our united hearts, the love of millions of people around the world who will achieve the miracle. Shall we try? I believe it’s worth every effort.
I Am the Light of God, illuminating, guiding, and protecting all humanity on planet Earth and all its inhabitants.

SONAR has turned into a philosophical forum for prima donnas
what a hoot
Greetings, friend Old Ironsides!
Iron is strong, but don’t be so harsh, please.
Understand that people want to express themselves. There will be comments you like more or less, but you can avoid reading the ones you don’t like and only pay attention to the ones you do.
Besides, we all learn from each other, that’s the idea… don’t you think?
You can also, if you think there’s a low intellectual or philosophical level here, broadly present the ones you believe to be correct, explain them, demonstrate them, and make them known. This way, you’ll help those who don’t know to learn.
Also, I ask you… who learns more, the teacher or the student? Who learns more, the one who teaches or the one who learns?
Please be kinder and more polite to the people on this forum. Don’t make people think you’re one of the internet-connected monkeys with wires on their heads seen in the latest Superman movie, because Lex Luthor put them there to continually hate, troll, attack, and assault our favorite hero.
Have you seen the movie? You can’t deny that scene with the monkeys trolling and hating is cute, ha ha ha !!!
Please, I beg you, don’t be angry with me.
Thank you very much.
A hug to you, friend.
Love from Spain

Let me buy you a cheap scotch at the VFW Bingo night….
Trump’s war is not against Russia, it’s against the EU and the globalist bankers. The war in Ukraine provided the means to cut off EU energy supplies, drain its economy, de-industrialize it, loot the remain of the industrial base, shift industrial capital to the US, and create a captive market in EU for anything the US can export. Destroying Russia or overthrowing Putin not only do not push this plan forward, they would damage severely, because it would no longer be possible to isolate EU from the energy sources and world trade system it and the globalist bankers depend on. No churn, no earn. The globalist bankers have been in control of the US and the rest of the west for quite some time, and the Deep State is their tool. For Trump to ‘drain the swamp’ requires cutting it from supply and reinforcement- and that means wrecking the bankers, and that means wrecking the global trade system. For a man without an army, he’s doing a pretty good job of that.
Tariffs and saber-rattling are part of the kayfabe. They keep the rubes in a state of incipient panic and they provide cover for surprise attacks on Trump’s real enemies in the banking system. It’s about building Fortress America, not overthrowing Putin.
It’s tiresome that so many people call him an idiot because they don’t understand what he’s doing. Either Trump’s team or Trump himself are damned smart and they are achieving more against their domestic enemies than I would have thought possible. I don’t think Trump is going to usher in a new Golden Age for America or the world, but I don’t think he has any desire to destroy either. Could he leave this country worse off than when he regained the White House? Possibly, but it was due to be considerably worse off than it was by 2030 anyway.
Believe that BS if you wish, It is a miscule possibility, BUT too many billionaire globalists are zionists residing in the USA and you really think the zionists don’t want to destroy Russia and control their resources, same for China and other countries.
Fairy tales, make believe and USA soap operas were never to my liking, but if it entertains you, go for it Bubba.. YOU really think if Trump was really working against the globalist he would still be talking and breathing? They assassinated all others that didn’t do what they wanted. Zionists are so confident they have printed many of their ideas and plans, and they are still posted on USA RAND, Brookings and other institute sites.
“Trump’s war is not against Russia, it’s against the EU and the globalist bankers.”
Who was in charge when nord stream was destroyed?
This is: Trump is not the enemy of the EU. The US are.
But the war IS against Russia, for dog’s sake.
US would like to take the big prize (Russia) with all its resources.
Because they cannot, they squeeze the weak and servile lackeys. Much easier.
Their real enemy is Russia.
“For Trump to ‘drain the swamp’”
Trump is just ANOTHER toad, in the swamp, pleaaaaase.
You don’t think you are not tiresome?
You repeat again and again the same, and you think you aren’t?
‘wrecking the global trade system’?
BRICS are getting bigger and bigger. US/the west is shrinking.
US cannot wreck anything.
There are so many flaws in your reasoning ..
You must have got the same batch of koolaid Tom Luongo & Alex Krainer did.
Who do you think paid Epstein all that money for the kompromat he produced? It wasn’t for Israel, it was for the group that created & controls Israel & America & UK & EU.
The same group that bailed out Trump when he was bankrupt.
The same group that took out JFK.
And you imagine Trump is going against them?
Enjoy your delusion along with Alex & Tom.
You mean the group that was given the License to control U.S. Money, ie, Federal Reserve Notes. The same group that can create money/credit directly, without the usual deposits/equity backing.
The group that has Congress in its pocket and can claim “Too Big To Fail” to tap the American Taxpayer and get the Federal Reserve to create more money from nothing.
Say it ain’t so.
Thousands of Russians have died.
US dreams to steal Russia resources ..
But ey, the main goal is Europe
🤯
Luongo and Krainer are the dummies and you have got it all figured out
OK
What stupid reasoning is that?
Do you think that those 2 guys are the only 2 experts?
He’s a jackass. Attacks other people in the comments section all the time. Don’t feed the troll, and eventually he will bugger off.
Oh do keep up. When he first came here, he was on the attack. But once he got his bearings, he began to make incisive comments on a wide variety of subjects.
Larry set up this comments section so he could hear from all shades of opinion, not just snooty little twerps who think themselves above everybody else.
If you don’t like what Old Ironsides says, give him a counter-argument which will bring out the best in you both.
Yes and no. You are absolutely correct that what’s really going on is an economic battle between Europe and the US. Let’s not argue about who is controlling who because this banking cabal is global and has no allegiance to any country or even region. They exist on both shores. What I doubt is whether Trump actually intends to take it all down or not. I get the impression that he wants to take it over. It’s either that or he is being played by his handlers to have temper tantrums to speed up their planned destruction.
+1
The best case scenario I see is Trump, the Billionaire , being humbled by God , repenting, and taking all due justice upon himself (and his brothers and sisters in Christ, who will take on his burden with him) and renouncing the evil he has embraced.
The “evil he/she has embraced, rejecting it, rebuking it, renouncing it , is what Christendom is.
Trump must, and we the entire globe is witnessing this in real time…Trump must decide who he serves.
Everything Trump is going through is what every Catholic/Human must go through in order to submit him/herself to the Moral Law, that is to say God.
Trump’s soul is in the balance.
Please pray for him.
The economic battle is between US and Europe?
Or between US and the rest of the world???
Trump is working to get england off america’s back
evidently people think the Council on Foreign Relations is a benign “think tank”
Try reading Foreign Affairs, their quarterly pub. i cancelled my description in dismay when i realized that it promotes a one-world government, derides nationalism or any form of pariotism, and is basically a globalist technocratic forum.
found this little jewel on Wikipedia: “Foreign Affairs is a successor publication of the Journal of International Relations (which ran from 1910 to 1922), which in turn was a successor to the Journal of Race Development (which ran from 1911 to 1919, the title reflecting concerns about race tensions and race “mixing” in a period when empires were beginning to be in question).[9]
globalists, malthusian eugenicists with a strong tendency toward technocratic socialism
this is the organization that US government routinely draws its appointees and candidates for cabinet positions and the National Security Council from
CFR was created as the american pendant to the RIIA Royal Inst of international Affairs, created by Cecil Rhodes and today known as Chatham House
This is fucking british monkey on our backs that Lyndon LaRouche went to jail for warning americans about, and then having the gall to run for president
EVERYBODY who is anybody in government today is connected to or a member of the CFR.
Including Tulsi Gabbard
Putin has put Trump on notice… “Any IRBMs introduced to Europe will be destroyed”.
What is this remark based on? I can’t see a reference in the text. Not that I object to the proposal – Russia at some point actually has to draw a real ‘red line’ as opposed to all the multiple previous wrongly attributed ones, and give the west a swift punch on the nose to sober them up.
If they do anything before Ukraine falls they risk snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
defeat by whom?
You?
I can’t help but think that the US is going to end up like the Soviet Union. The west doesn’t have the economic strength to compete with Russia and China, and will bankrupt themselves in the process.
Indeed yet here we are. You should add the contention between Europe and the US to the mix as well. Both so called ‘western’ sides of the Atlantic are engaged in a covert economic battle over who will outlive the other. This is why I believe Germany has gone completely gung-ho and wants everyone to believe it is planning a war against Russia. Without this Germany would never be able to borrow from the future like it is planning to do now. It’s theater but has to be convincing because if only the US can add on unlimited amounts of debt Europe will go bust first. Germany has better debt and deficit levels than the US and could endure a debt race. Obviously both sides have gone completely mad and are chaining us all to a destitute future and inevitable credit events but I guess that’s the kind of stubbornness and stupidity we are stuck with for now.
once again, don’t believe ANYTHING politicians say
these assholes know as well as anybody that neither the EU nor germany has the funds to create a significant military within 5 years
Maybe we’d have a chance if our whole military-industrial complex wasn’t such a corrupt and wasteful disgrace, but it is. We can’t build ships, we can’t produce weapons equal those arrayed against us. It’s all bluster and bullshit and has been for as long as I can remember, and I’m 76.
Subject matter:Putin Subtly Puts the US on Notice… Russia is Locked and Loaded
Then an intergalactic self made, locked and loaded (?) economics punter, pops up and hogs the board (bored with him?).
He is not the only one. Is there a way of blocking such individuals? Genuine question.
The topic clue is in the title. Life is too short to sift out the deliberately spurious input.
the whole article is a joke
nothing has changed, just more propaganda on both sides
Putin simply reminds us that Mr. Oreshnik is now in the chat
no reason to get one’s panties wadded up
The “brink of nuclear war”? I doubt it. Witkoff and Putin had talks about Ukraine, and economic cooperation. There will be no nuclear war between Russia and the US. Lots of posturing and chest puffing. We’re getting more tabloid style lines here, and after a while they all evaporate. This will be one more.
The nuclear subs one was nothing – they’re always in position, so nothing really changed there. The UK got some bombs they have no means to deliver, so nothing there as well. It’s all for show to trigger all those who fall for such things.
You don’t discuss economic cooperation and nuclear war with each other at the same time, so obviously there’s lots of back-channel clarification on all this. It’s still really about China and BRICS. Despite the sensational rhetoric, Trump would like solid relations with Russia as a wedge against China. I believe his thinking is to have something attractive enough to draw Russia out of BRICS. He will likely be disappointed there. I believe Russia is open to better relations as there could be trade advantages and ultimately getting sanctions lifted. The best way for that is get the war over and done quickly, and normalize after that. Ironically Trump, who’s going after those who wronged him, seems to think Putin should forget the past and just make a deal. Not likely. However it plays out there will be no nuclear war between Russia and the US unless Europe manages to get it started somehow.
Big Jump in Oil price in the coming days.
More money for RUSSIA
More funds for the SMO
A spending Bill is passed in the Duma and the votes that pass the bill create the roubles. The votes fund the spending.
They don’t even speak to the treasury to see how many taxes they have collected.
That would be an absurd notion and a stupid state of affairs when they can create the roubles at will.
They are no longer on the gold standard or use fixed exchange rates.
Way to clever to every try to adopt the Euro. Lose that ability to create roubles from thin air completely.
They are no longer on the gold standard or use fixed exchange rates.–you are obviously talking about the USA and how it has financed everything since 73
That’s a lie! A blatant and peremptory lie!
The budget in Russia is formed as follows:
1. Preparation of forecasts. At this stage, the economic situation is analyzed and income is roughly calculated.
2. Formation of budget requests. All ministries and departments submit estimates for financing their programs.
3. Discussion and correction of proposals. The Ministry of Finance analyzes the needs of various departments and determines which ones to meet.
4. Approval of the draft budget by the Government of the Russian Federation. After internal approvals, the project is submitted to the government for consideration.
The development and execution of the state budget is a complex and multifaceted process. It begins one year before the start of the planned budget period.
No later than October 1, it develops and submits to the State Duma a draft document for the next year.
Next, this plan goes through three readings in the lower house of parliament.:
1. At the first stage, the main parameters are approved.
2. At the second stage, a section plan is adopted.
3. At the third stage, the draft budget bill is being discussed as a whole.
After the adoption of the federal budget in the State Duma, the plan is sent to the Federation Council. And then the president signs it.
When the law has passed all the approvals, it begins to be implemented, which is also closely monitored. The State authorities responsible for the execution must allocate funds according to the approved articles and ensure that they are used for their intended purpose. They monitor all expenses through regular reports, audits, and inspections.
The federal budget is not just dry figures. This is a strategic document. The economic stability and social well-being of the state depend on its competent compilation and effective execution.
👏👏👏
Nope Russia is not in the Eurozone and doesn’t use the Euro.
It creates the rouble at will using an index finger and computer keyboard.
The amount of roubles Russia can create is not tied to oil revenues or any other taxes.
The constraints on how many roubles Russia can create are
a) What people ( skills ) It has
b) What real resources it has
c) The productive capacity of the nation. What it does with those skills and real resources.
Inflation is the constraint. Not how many taxes it collects. Taxes destroy roubles and takes them out of the system. Fund absolutely nothing.
gee..that’s exactly how the Fed creates US dollars
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You meant to say that oil is not a source of income?
Why in the heck does Russia sell oil, then?
Just to show the world they have oil?
I heard a lot about comunists reapearing in the scene, and now we got them here at this forum.
Comunism and his kissing cousin Socialism (both the system of the lazy) was the reason the Soviet Union vanished from earth.
You are an expert, no doubt.

GAS is a source of income
Oil is just a store of wealth
Trump’s firing of Erika McEntarfer, the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, has been widely seen as a tantrum caused by disastrous job numbers. That’s true, up to a point, but the truth of the matter is that Trump is just plain a blithering idiot.
You see, Trump hates the very concept of numbers. Why? Because he completely sucks at math. And all other subjects that require thinking. Brutally.
In fact, math might be his worst subject, and that includes geography (he believes there is an African country called Nambia) and history (he believes the British had airports during the Revolutionary War).
Since Trump has spent over half a century in the business world, you might expect him to be good with numbers; but since he had to file for bankruptcy six times, apparently not. He flunked his way through that just like he flunked his way through school. Daddy bought him a degree in economics from Wharton just like he bought him a failed business career.
One of his Warton professors, the Dean of the school of economics, has been quoted as saying Trump was “the stupidest damned student I ever had”.
Trump’s staggering math stupidity again revealed itself speaking to members of Congress last month, where Trump boasted, “This is something that nobody else can do. We’re gonna get the drug prices down. Not 30 or 40% which would be great, not 50 or 60, no. We’re gonna get ‘em down 1,000%, 600%, 500%, 1,500%.”
That is, in fact, something that nobody can do—because it’s mathematically impossible. Let’s do a little calculation, shall we?
The price of a month’s worth of Ozempic is about $1000. 1500% of that would be $15,000. So if Trump reduced the cost by that amount, the makers of Ozempic would have to pay the customer $14,000!
No wonder Trump fired the Labor Statistics boss: thinking makes his head hurt.
Molly Ivins’s quote about baby-faced imbecile Dan Quayle applies equally well to Donald Trump: “If you put that man’s brain in a bumblebee, it would fly backwards.”

Why are mathematicians often such conceited fools, contemptuous of all outside their artificial language? Bill Gates, Jeffrey Epstein, Sergey Brin, Peter Thiel. Not a group to take pride in. I can understand why American students don’t excel at maths. They take one look at those who do, and run like hell.
Spain belongs to BRICS.
there are some examples …
(Another moron asks you how it is that you are not the president.
As if only one quality (intelligence?) could determine one’s destiny. 🤦♂️)
so what you’re saying is that Donald Trump is dumb
You, OTOH are a genius
I can’t understand why YOU are not president! You could fix “all the problems”
Trump derangement syndrome, anybody.
Half a page to say you dont like the President.
👎
No. Half a page to point out that he is an imbecile. Possibly just this quote would have done, as it is perfect:
Molly Ivins’s quote about baby-faced imbecile Dan Quayle applies equally well to Donald Trump: “If you put that man’s brain in a bumblebee, it would fly backwards.”
Touchè I am sure the Donald will not sleep well tonight

Brilliant. I’ll try to remember that one!

I don’t think the US will be wiped out
I don’t think Russia or Belarus will be wiped out.
I DO think Proxy-Europe WILL be wiped out!
Remember, it’s America Uber Alles!
And you think, Russia will deal with a nuclear contaminated Western-Europe at its doorstep, including its own western regions, while the US is happily preparing for the next superbowl?
Scott Ritter was highly effective in describing Russian capabilities in conventional warfare and comparing NATO and US capabilities. It is obvious that zero discussion happens on this topic realistically with the Trump administration. Where is Tulsi Gabbard? The way things are going a nuclear war is very likely and how important is one’s career if one is dead? But while there is no doubt that the US conventional forces will be defeated I realize there is a real gap in discussions of the air defense capabilities of Russia against a nuclear attack…..
Tulsi had a CFR meeting and couldn’t make it today
Tulsi Gabbard has been bought by AIPAC.
Well, why should she be an exception to the rule?
World Donkey Emperor and “I hear phone calls with Putin in my head while I’m on the Golden Throne in the Gilded Bathroom” Donald J Trump, has now said if Witkoff doesn’t come back from Moscow with Putin’s signed acquiescence to his super-detailed five-second brainstorms for saving the world and ending the Ukraine war, he will be “furious”. Apart from the fact/rumour/whatever-the-hell that Trumpie baby had cancelled Witkoff’s trip, it seems it’s back on again. I bet the Russians are all tingling with anticipation at a new bullsh!t proposal. As in , not.
So let the stupid fecker be furious. Who gives a sheet? Russia couldn’t care less what Donnie “thinks”. They screwed up Ze and the Ukies last night by setting a natural gas metering station ablaze outside Odessa. That station was backfeeding gas into Ukraine from Europe. And that was needed because the stupid Ukies themselves blew up the gas transfer station on the border of the Kursk region — if anyone here remembers while talking crap about “economics” and currencies and generally not impressing me much with gobbledeegook. Yeah, shooting yourself in the foot is about as bright as Zelensky ever got, so with his gas now cut off from the West as well, Ze is hopping mad. Stupid twit accused Russia of hitting “strategic” targets! No sh!t, Sherlock. There’s a war on. Ukraine is in an effing mess, and you have only yourself to blame for it. Considering the supposed advanced hacking some of your countrymen have displayed, I’d be checking my personal offshore banking accounts every few hours, too. Easy come, easy go.
Trump can apparently wander through life ignorant of almost everything, yet consider himself a genius. Zelensky is of the same ilk. They will lose just by being themselves. What the deployment of IRBMs will do to make the world less safe than the parlous state it is in now, I fail to comprehend.
fecker?
sheet?
sh!t
effing???
what is wrong with you?
Zelensky’s money is safely stored with the Rothschilds. This makes it easier for them to take it back after Zelensky has an unfortunate accident.
👍
Good post. You put the finger on where this is all heading. Countries are getting not only scared but repugnant by what Trump is doing and want nothing to do with it. Dealing with the US has become a risk that is now over-weighing the wish to conduct trade.
👍
Can a sociopathic narcissist like Trump actual find ego satisfaction in destroying a whole planet? How can he chase a Nobel Peace Prize when supporting a genocide? This is someone quite divorced from reality.
yes you are but there is help available
have you tried SSRIs?
I couldn’t say. He seems quite adamant at destroying the US so why not the rest?
Just the US government will do, thanks. (You could take the EU and UK governments too – please).
👍
“Following two months of pushing the world to the brink of nuclear war, from the US, Vladimir Putin announced a major policy change regarding the survival chances of the arsonists.”
There you go, just to clear up the distribution of responsibilities.
Not that your compatriots keep indulging in the misconception of being the victims here.
Putin and Lavrov would say: “Remember, very much depends on a precise language!”
bla bla bla “brink of nuclear war”
I have been hearing that bullshit for longer than most of you here have been alive
The US dollar is losing importance in the global economy – but there is really nothing to see in that fact
Here:
https://billmitchell.org/blog/?p=62619
There everybody can calm down and stop being stuck in the 1960’s.
De-Dollarization” is happening, but it doesn’t have the effect the way sound money types might think it does.
The only way the rest of the world can rid themselves of $’s is to exchange them for goods and services sold in $’s or invest those $’s into the United States.
We actually saw that happening when Trump removed the oil export ban. The US is generally now considered as a net exporter of oil. It reached 5 million barrels a day. Which is HUGE.
Countries can’t just drop their $ holdings. That’s conversion theory that no longer applies today we use exchange theory.
If China wanted to get rid of all their US treasury holdings. They would let them expire or sell them back to the FED. All that means is those $’s would sit at the FED as a reserve balance instead of a treasury security balance.
If they then exchanged this reserve balance with the UK or France or Japan or Australia or with all four countries. All that happens is those 4 countries now hold the $ reserve balance instead of China.
In short the $’s don’t actually go anywhere they are just shuffled about between different owners.
Until they are either spent on US goods and services or invested in the US to produce goods and services.
Then the $’s are eradicated via income taxes or any other type of tax. It is taxes that destroy the $ and take it out of the system.
The only way the world $ holdings can be reduced is by giving them back to who issue those $’s in the first place. The US government and that is by taxes.
Let’s now pretend that is happening what would actually happen to the $ then.
1. It would make the $ stronger not weaker.
If countries start handing back their $’s back by spending them or investing them and thus getting taxed out of the system. There would be less $’s. A hell of a lot less $’s and that would strengthen the $ not weaken it.
2. This would also shrink the US trade deficit.
All these countries spending their $’s would shrink the trade deficit which is also bullish for the $.
It’s hilarious really because what Trumps policies will do will actually strengthen the $ Over the longer term.
That works directly against what he is trying to achieve over the longer term and that is increase US exports.
Which shows he hasn’t any clue regarding his economic policies.
1. If countries start to return their dollars by spending or investing in the United States, there will be an oversupply of money.
And this is the downside – the danger of inflationary processes developing. An overabundance of money increases the demand for goods, prices rise, and the purchasing power of the national currency decreases. One of the methods to combat it is to increase the discount rate. This increases the cost of loans and causes an increase in deposit rates. Excess money accumulates in bank accounts and is withdrawn from circulation. That’s the only way, and nothing else.
You propose to withdraw the money supply through taxes. I understand the additional excise taxes on goods and services. Bravo! No one has ever ripped off Americans like that!
2. A trade deficit occurs when a country’s imports exceed its exports, resulting in a negative trade balance. The United States has been experiencing a consistent trade deficit for several decades. This means that the United States buys more goods and services than it produces. Today, almost 80% of American GDP is made up of the services market: finance, trade, and communications. And the economic growth of the United States has long been determined not by industry, but by innovative development. The United States has nothing (nothing at all!) to offer to encourage other countries to spend their dollars, except a baton. Therefore, Trump, in the style of a gangster, is rolling around the world with this baton and threatening duties, tariffs, sanctions or war.
I’ve got it all figured out, please don’t get into a discussion with me.
two-edged sword
you get cheap goods produced by others
can’t compete with foreign companies due to high living standards and wages
lose your economic power AND your industry
what does england produce these days besides cod and halibut? bad wine?
broke aircraft carriers?
tax havens?
👍🙏
Countries holding US trade dollars need to spend them internally or engage in funding foreign projects. China, for example, is buying commodities and gold and silver and funding infrastructure projects in friendly countries. The idea is to spend them while they still buy something…..
I agree 100%.
That’s how you get rid of them you have to spend them. Then taxes get rid of them.
But they won’t be spending $’s in friendly countries. They are hording friendly countries currencies so spend them.
THE US IS STEALING ME OIL, it’s not the property of the US, WE STEAL IT!
Have you thought of opening your own blog?
Bonus – you can insult all and sundry, and they can ignore your blog.
agree, I sense “Derek” is someone in the chat that’s been here before
“Sun of Alabama” has been beaten half to death at moa. Too bad he brought his show here. A lot of scrolling to get past his “truth”.
Nope
the saker , still on moon of Alabama and now spreading the truth here.
Never been here before. saw the comment section and thought the truths need to be told.
“truths” need to be told🤣🤣🤣
What’s “truth” in your mind has little relation to reality.
And yet Sun of Alabama, who constantly goes on about mmt, quoted you verbatim at moa the other day.
I’m just writing the truth. Trying to clean things up. Rather than listen to Chinese ideological whispers from the sound money brigade.
1. You want to believe in myths fine – stay uneducated.
2. If you disagree with me in a civilised society then attempt to refute my claims. By actually debating what I have written.. There’s plenty of paragraphs to choose from.
Since you have done neither 1 or 2.
Then you are trying to cancel me, then pretending to believe in free speech?
I’m not interested in ideological sound bites or ideological memes.
I want cold hard facts using the assets and liabilities of a real world balance sheets.
What do you want facts or fiction ?
I don’t do GROUPTHINK!
Honestly, you cannot be this ignorant. The world neither needs nor wants the $ unless they want to have business with the US. Ask yourself why the US has openly admitted it is now engaged in ‘yield curve control’ or ‘UST buybacks’.
This is the whole reason behind Trump’s tariff policy and sanctions threats against BRICS etc. Trump is actually making the dedollarization to speed up. Go on with all your theoretical acrobatics but it’s not going to change reality.
Nothing you have said refutes anything I have posted.
“yield curve control’ or ‘UST buybacks’.”
Doesn’t mean what you think they mean either.
Let’s put your money where your mouth is rather than just using ideological sound bites. Or ideological memes.
Explain to me why you think yield curve control’ or ‘UST buybacks’. Is a recipe of doom for the US ?
Then please allow me to disect your response paragraph by paragraph to show why you fail to understand how it works today.
I”ll Use real world data to prove it.
Deal ?
Derek, you don’t understand
this is a forum for emoting
most of the “articles” are just filler because nothing important is going on except bombing palestinians and blowing up ukrainians… there is not a whole hell of a lot we can do about either so:
let’s just do our two minutes of Trump hate and get on with our meager little lives
don’t expect any intellectual discussion here
and take note of how often you hear “another escalation towards nuclear destruction.”
by my count we should have all been incinerated back in april or so
Yield curve control is to obfuscate market forces, obviously. UST buybacks is a way to legitimize blackholing underperforming debt instruments. Again an attempt to legitimize the manipulation of market forces. Both of these expose the need or wish to curtail what is really already going on – dumping of USTs on the world market stage. You can see this by observing how US CDS rates keep rising even though the ESF is working feverishly to halt it.
Let the Fed buy it ALL
then we can default and leave the leeches holding the bag
we should also bring all the Fed members up on RICO charges
“Yield curve control is to obfuscate market forces, “
Yet another ideological sound bite.
The $ is a monopoly and monopoly rules apply.
How many times have we been through the inverted yield curve nonsense ?How many times have they been wrong ?
Let’s debate it.
The FED has the monopoly to set interest rates – Period.
That there itself is yield curve control – Period.
So it is yield curve from inception. There’s no” ohhhh they are starting to do yield curve control nonsense. ”
This is not a new thing. They have a monopoly on setting the rate.
What is the yield curve ?
The yield curve is a reflection of FED policy over the term. As you go out over the curve 2 year, 5 year, 10 year, 30 year etc. Those maturities are going to reflect the expectation of monetary policy over that period.
So when the FED says it’s going to hold rates where they are using their monopoly power they have. The 30 year is not going deviate very far from the rate.
If the FED came out tomorrow and said we are going to set the rate at 0% permanently. Using its monopoly power.
What do you think would happen?
All the entire curve would drop to zero right. The FED wouldn’t even have to anything. Everybody would be jumping ahead of that knowing that the FED had the power to do that.
Would you call that yield curve control ? Or just standard practice from the monopolist. They would buy securities to push the whole curve down to zero. Standard practice to what they do to keep the current rate bouncing around the rate.
Saying that ” oh my God they have just started yield curve control”
Is a fiction , pure ideological dogma of nonsense.
It’s how it has always worked from inception as they are the monopolist and set the rate.
Here:
Educate yourself on how the system actually works.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tHHNsTyY_Hs
It’s not the Eurozone where bond vigilantes actually exist if the ECB stops buying individual Euro using nation state bonds. Like they threaten to buy Italian bonds for example.
Different market rules apply.
The difference with the past is that US authorities are now openly admitting how they are manipulating the markets. That in and by itself is a form of capitulation IMO. My take on this is that they have given up trying to reverse this since there are no foreign purchases of US debt anymore. Without foreign demand for US debt the USD is doomed. This btw is in contrast to Japan which predominantly rely on domestic purchases of their government debt. Japan does not rely on their currency being used for global trade.
Nope everybody understood they set the rate.
only the sound money types ever believed in bond vigilantes.
Japan isn’t a special case it works the exact same way in the US.
Hold on. You actually don’t know that the FED cannot ‘set’ yields. They determine lending rates but if they want to affect yields they have to directly intervene in the markets. I guess you didn’t know that. Read up on yields, auctions and coupons please.
The Fed determines interbank rates
the reserve requirements determine how much new money is magically “created” out of thin air
Warning:
Japan all by itself destroys EVERYTHING you are going to post. Because you are stuck in the 1960’s.
What with their 240% debt to GDP ratios.
Their quadrillion yen upon quadrillion deficits for years now.
Who buy most of the debt themselves.
And yet
Have interest rates at 0.5%
Inflation rates at 3.3%
And an unemployment rate of 2.5% that other countries can only dream of.
But go on anyway. Let’s see what you have to say about yield curve control’ or ‘UST buybacks’.”
Let me see your ” sound money ” nonsense in writing.
Good Lord, Japan is a lost and dying society and has been since the crash in the ’90’s which started all of the economic control of the JCB that you espouse. That is not a trade-off that is a sacrifice of the people to a parasitic banker elite.
Ideological drivel.
According to what you are going to post hungin- a- munin.
Japan would have been bankrupt years ago.
Because you are stuck in the 1960’s and have never understood modern money.
Bank of Japan research refutes the main predictions made by economists about the impacts of large bond-buying programs
https://billmitchell.org/blog/?p=62277
What you stupidly call treasury buy backs.
What do you think a repo or a reverse repo is?
Never mind the government just buying back its own tresuries.
All it tells you is the treasuries shouldn’t have been issued in the first place. Because it is a left over from the old gold standard, fixed exchange rate regime. Utterly pointless excercise.
yes but economists are ALL full of shit
they can lecture you for hours about what happened yesterday or last year. or in 1926
but they have no clue what will happen tomorrow
and they will lie straight to your face because that is what they get paid to do
Economics is not a science, it is a superstition
‘Modern money’? Is that in any way like ‘modern morality? If so, it’s a crock of shit. Furthermore, money is money – it has always worked in the same way – it is a means of exchange, and if it is not that it is a meaningless game. I don’t doubt that you will pour scorn on this ‘outdated’ idea, but futures, bond trading and anything else you want to introduce are just crooked ways of skimming off the real economy, (which is real goods made by real people).
‘Insurance’and other financial sleights of hand are not real things, and if the US GDP was estimated for physical goods output (even including real scientific innovations, effective patents, etc.) it would be far below its current status.
👍
And Japan is the second or third largest owner of US Treasuries. But none are owned by the JCB, they are owned by banks and business because the Japanese bonds are junk.
Never said it was.
Do you have point.?
or just ideological nonsense.?
Not sure if you were addressing this to me or not.
btw. Here is a description of Hugin and Munin which are Odin’s two ravens flying around the world each morning collecting all the news back to him :
https://norse-mythology.org/gods-and-creatures/others/hugin-and-munin/
Let’s go over how it really works to show clearly your ideological sound bite
Here goes :
The amount of US treasuries out there in any given time is a decided by the US treasury and the FED.
Where the treasury as the decision ex ante and the FED had the decision ex post.
So what the US treasury starts the FED finishes.
For example :
If the FED decides it wants more 30 year bonds in circulation. It has 2 options
1. Is to sell bonds that it owns.
2. Ask the treasury to issue more 30 year bonds.
Now if the treasury only issued 30 year bonds and didn’t issue anything else.
Then the FED the day after the treasury issued them replaced half them with cash.
This is EXACTLY the same as if the treasury issued only cash. Then the FED the next day replaced half with 30 year bonds.
What this clearly shows without question and is a 100% fact. Is it doesn’t matter what the treasury issues to fund its spending. What actually matters is what the FED decides to leave in the economy after the fact.
The treasury has the decision ex ante and the FED had the decision ex post.
You understand this yes ?
It’s not rocket science at all very simple to understand at this point.? I”m sure you understand this so far.
Now let’s cover this buy back nonsense now that you understand it thus far.
Let’s say the treasury has been monitoring its spending and knows it needs an extra $20 billion for next month. What does it do ?
The treasury says to the FED we are going to issue an extra $ 20 billion treasury bonds next month.
The FED says hang on a minute we have a nice balance between reserves and treasuries at the moment that allows us to hit out overnight interest rate. We need to keep that balance.
If you sell those $20 billion bonds it will take $20 billion of reserves out of our balance.
So the FED says to the treasury what we are going to do an hour before the auction is we are going to buy up $20 billion of treasuries that are already in circulation.
So we will create an extra $20 billion in reserves for your auction tomorrow.
So the FED does that purchase and might even be a REPO. The private sector gets a,sweetheart deal a few basis points for doing it. Primary dealers hub by law is to make sure that oppertunity exists.
The treasury auction comes around
The treasury sells their $ 20 billion treasuries.
The FED created the extra $20 billion in reserves that was used to buy the treasuries.
If you stop the clock right here.
The treasury has the $ 20 billion it needed
The private sector is in the same position it was in before the auction plus a little sweetener of a few basis points in interest. The FED holds $20 billion of bonds.
Now start the clock again.
The treasury spends the $ 20 billion.
That creates an extra $20 billion of reserves
The FED now through the earlier REPO purchase now sells the $ 20 billion of treasuries. Unwind the earlier deal they did with the primary dealers.
Stop the clock.
The treasury got what it wanted.
The FED is back to the original mix of reserves and treasuries it had.
The private sector ( The primary dealers have extra treasuries)
Just looking at from the outside you would say “ah the treasury sold $20 billion to the primary dealers to fund its spending. ”
You wouldn’t even know what the FED has done or the REPO or the role it played.
Even though it bought back treasuries and still ended up where it started.
When the reality is the FED is stepping in all the time and doing buy backs to maintain the reserve and treasuries balance in its balance sheet so it can hit its overnight interest rate target.
Which is no concern whstsoever. As clearly described above.
Apart from ideologues who point at the buy backs and think they are something to worry about.
I rest my case your honour.
thank you now put a sock in it, please
You seem confused. The Treasury schedules auctions that accredited banks participate in. The FED buys USTs on the open markets which is how excess liquidity is provided to these banks. Note that while coupon rates are set during these auctions by the Treasury the yield rates are determined by the market.
I get now why you don’t have any concern with ‘yield curve control’ or even the Treasury conducting ‘UST buybacks’ since you don’t seem to grasp that this is a direct meddling in the markets making yields more or less irrelevant. Perhaps to you this is fine but market participants surely don’t enjoy being played like this and it does away completely with what has always been an economic bellwether indicator.
I’ve addressed it fully above.
There’s no – ” oh they have just started yield curve control”
They are the monopolist have monopoly control over the rate they set. From inception it IS yield curve control.IS
There’s no moving to YTC. It already works that way.
Why did everybody lose their shirts on the Japanese widow maker trade ?
They didn’t understand the BOJ was the monopolist how has monopoly power and set the rate anywhere it likes.
This is not the Eurozone.
“Don’t fight the FED.”
I agree, nobody wants to fight the FED and nobody outside the US wants to touch US debt anymore. What the US decides to do is for Americans to decide but that also applies to everyone else. Sure the US can isolate itself and not trade with anyone. It will require countries to pivot away from the US and look for other trading partners but I don’t see a problem with that.
I agree 100%
but it doesn’t refute anything I say.

Are you starting to figure out the truth yet hugin- a- munin?
We have to clear something up Larry.
All this ideological clap trap below in the comments regarding the $.
Normally from the ” sound money ” types that are stuck in the 1960’s and don’t have a clue what they are talking about. about
Like a game of ideological Chinese whispers. Echo nothing more than ideological sound bites passed down to them and expand the myths no end. Until they become non sensical.
1. First things first. The difference between conversion theory and exchange theoey. They use conversion theory that no longer applies.
Here:
https://new-wayland.com/blog/capital-flight/
Once people understand even the very basics of those two theories it is very clear what most say about the $ today is false. Ideological echoes of nonsense.
2. Once you move to a deeper understanding of an exchange transaction and study what actually happens.
Here:
https://new-wayland.com/blog/anatomy-of-an-fx-transaction/
Once people understand that. It is very clear what most say about the $ today is false. Ideological echoes of nonsense.
Now let’s get down to the facts Larry free from ideological dogma. Using a sound understanding of exchange theory.
There are two potential definitions of “reserve currency.”
The first is quantitative and weak: do other countries hold official foreign exchange reserves in that currency?
The second is qualitative and stronger: is the currency at the centre of global financial markets while other countries peg their currency to the reserve currency, necessitating large holdings of official reserves?
That is, the stronger definition implies that the reserve status affects economic behaviour beyond a basic fixed income portfolio allocation decision.
The U.S. dollar — along with other major developed currencies — qualify under the weaker, quantitative definition of reserve currency.
Other countries hold a lot of official reserves in USD — perhaps not entirely happily at this point — and only selective defaults may change that.
However, no foreigner in their right mind would want to peg to USD right now, and any pegs that exist are legacies of the pre-Trump era.
Whether USD qualified in 2024 under the stronger definition of “reserve currency” is debateable, but one could argue that USD dominance was still running on fumes at that point, and it could cause countries to attempt a peg strategy in the future.
Throwing in the towel on the strong definition of “reserve currency” has very limited real world effects. At most, it might get excited commentators to stop writing about the “demise of reserve currency status,” but that is unlikely. Like water fluoridation and the World Economic Forum, “reserve currency status” is cemented into the brains of conspiracy theorists around the world and across the political spectrum.
Courtesy of the World Bank (link), foreign official reserves holdings (including gold) as of 2023 are as follow for the top 10 holders (USD value in billions, rounded to nearest billion).
The first euro country is Germany (12th) with $323 billion, then Italy (13th) where holdings drop off to $248 billion.
What we see from the above is that the big reserve holders are mainly Asian export-led growth powerhouses, energy exporters, along with India with precautionary reserves, Switzerland due to its massive intervention to keep the franc stable versus the euro (not the dollar), and the U.S.’ legacy gold reserve position.
In other words, the only major reserve holders who conformed to the qualitative definition of “reserve currency” are energy exporters and the Asian export-led growth countries — who generally no longer truly peg their currencies to the USD. China uses CNY fixings as a policy variable, but the value of USDCNY is no longer stable enough to be considered a peg.
In other words, you need to dig down to small emerging markets and possibly energy exporters to find countries that are treating USD as a reserve currency as was the case in earlier currency schemes.
Although energy exporters are politically and strategically important, they are not a large weight in global economic output.
Reserve managers without a qualitative justification for holding USD reserves treat USD-denominated bond holdings like any other fixed income manager treats them: an asset class within a portfolio. They will wake up in the morning with a position report with the current weighting in the portfolio, and they will have a desired weighting.
It is a safe bet that reserve managers in aggregate are holding a lot more USD-denominated bonds than they would desire. However, it is also a safe bet that they know that a lot of other bond managers are in the same position. Reserve managers are by their nature cautious, and are unlikely to run screaming for the exit. Luckily, there is an escape valve to reduce USD bond weighting — USD dropping in value in foreign exchange markets.
U.S. Treasurys have a large capitalisation weight in useful global bond market indices (since we need to exclude markets that are non-investable for foreigners like China). There are also the large legacy reserve positions in Asia that would take a long time to unwind. The asymmetry between the euro and USD (euro countries have non-gold reserves, while the U.S. has none) means that USD portfolio weightings will be above capitalisations weight, in the absence of actions that make USD a no-go market for foreigners (e.g., “Mar-a-Lago Accord” forced exchange wackiness).
The problem with that theory is that 100% of bonds are owned by somebody 100% of the time. (If not, somebody needs to talk to the accountants or back office.) Foreign reserve managers normally park their liquidity portfolios at the front of the curve (although larger holders probably run part of their portfolios across the entire curve like an index fund). Why exactly are front end portfolios and index portfolios reducing term premia?
The ugly reality is that bond markets are boring most of the time. Analysts that cover them still need to come up with something to write about. The “who will buy the bonds?” stories that come out like clockwork are a great way of coming up with filler articles that are extremely popular with the great many readers who hate government bonds and want the market to collapse. The problem with continuously churning out nonsense is that you begin to believe the nonsense, and so we end up with people believing the logic “Big buyer of bonds = lower yields” without asking rudimentary questions like “why do we give a rat’s ass about change in holders’ weights in the first place?”
Of course, large holders doing something radical will effect prices in the short term. In particular, 30-year bonds are only very loosely tethered to the valuation magnet of the overnight rate, and are a thinly-traded segmented market. Foreigners dumping 30-years en masse would leave a mark. However, that does not say anything about the long-term effect of reserve holdings. Reserve managers are not idiots and try not to move the markets. Even if they increased the demand for ultra-long paper (unlikely), supply is not exogenous: debt management offices calibrate long end issuance to meet expected demand. To the extent that there is a persistent term premium in 30 years due to “supply and demand,” it is the result of debt management offices mismanaging their issuance weights.
An allied idea to “loss of reserve currency status” in the conspiracy mongers’ minds is the dreaded possibility of no longer denominating international oil prices in USD. Given that the U.S. is an energy exporter and Europe an energy importer, I do not see any reason for the energy markets to stop pricing in USD.
Nevertheless, this is a nothingburger. Forward currency markets are extremely deep and liquid — multibillion dollar issues are routinely swapped between random currencies all of the time. No matter what currency an invoice is denominated in, friendly bankers at even mid-sized banks are perfectly able to hedge that exposure into your local currency.
If you are an exporter, it makes perfect sense to issue debt in the currency of your export markets. Although there is an element of raw stupidity in these decisions — firms and individuals borrowing in a “hard” currency because the nominal interest rate is lower — borrowing in your invoice currency (scaled to your revenue exposure) is the optimal decision for firms with adequate risk management capabilities. For example, some Post-Keynesians have kittens about Canadian firms’ borrowing in USD, using it to prove some point about foreign bond vigilantes. However, these people never bother coming to grips with the fact that there has been a complete absence of firms going bankrupt due to currency mismatches, despite the volatility of USD-CAD. The firms that blow up due to foreign borrowing are the ones with inexperience with floating exchange rates, or worse yet, gulled into complacency by a currency peg (e.g., Asian Crisis).
The destruction of America’s trade partnerships will likely reduce imports into the U.S., reducing the need for issuing USD-denominated debt by foreign firms. The undermining of the rule of law may also dissuade foreign interest in issuance subject to American bankruptcy courts.
Since the currency liabilities of local firms are one of the factors determining the target weightings of reserve portfolios, if USD debt issuance by foreign firms drops, USD reserve weights would also decline.
The United States was the only country that stomached having distant foreign countries peg their currencies to the local currency as a means of pursuing export-led growth. (There are a variety of pegs to the euro, but those are on the European periphery.) The instability of the American regime means that such strategies are now a thing of the past. Instead, we are in a world of managed trade agreements, and trade imbalances are unlikely to get as extreme.
This means that countries will keep their official reserves as a means of fighting short-term instability, but the massive reserve growth by exporters is no longer going to be a feature of the system. (Switzerland did greatly expand its reserves, but that was entirely a financial markets phenomenon, and it is difficult to think of another country in a similar position.) USD official reserve holdings will have a large weighting — in an aggregate official reserve portfolio that is shrinking versus the size of the global economy.
It’s time these ideological morons who are stuck in the past stop this game of ideological Chinese whispers. Take the time to learn how modern money actually works.
Rather than not having the first clue how it works then try and convince others they know how to fix it.

We’ve been holding frequent meetings with Indian representatives. Yesterday, the ambassador held talks with our Deputy Minister of Defense. And yesterday, the National Security Advisor to the Indian Prime Minister arrived in Moscow.
All of this is happening against the backdrop of Trump’s constant threats against India. If Delhi had any intention of bending to the United States, it would have been as simple as Modi calling Putin to apologize, given their close relationship. However, the increased interactions at a lower level indicate that a common strategy is being developed. Judging by the status of the negotiators, it is not only an economic issue, but also a security issue.
With its pressure, the United States poses the eternal question to other countries: are they trembling creatures or do they have the right? And the answer is obvious to the big players (China, India, Brazil), especially given Washington’s arrogant rhetoric.
It seems that Trump is unknowingly working to create a multipolar world, which, ironically, he does not like at all.

Small point, but the UK airbase where US nukes are believed to have been redeployed is Lakenheath, not Lakenfield. It is called “RAF Lakenheath”, which is something of a misnomer, as it is actually used exclusively by US forces. It is home to the 48th Fighter Wing.
OK V.Fucci is back…..

FAS found the budget in 2023 :
I heard those bases in Poland and Romania already have intermediate missiles. Either way, Putin is bluffing per usual. Not worried.
I think Putin likes his people while our misleadership wish us dead anyway. That gives West a decided advantage in a game of Nuclear Chicken.
the bases in Poland and -Romania do not have intermediate range missiles, they are loaded with Tomahawk nuclear-capable cruise missiles that can hit Moscow very quickly.
they need to be taken – down, or out
Is that ‘bluffing’ like in2021, with the “non-ultimatum” ultimatum? How the ignoring of that worked out, we can watch on Ukrainian cemetries.
What is it, with you Cowboys, that makes you so resistant to listening, when adults talk?
You mean Trump is bluffing as usual.

This is bad.
American people have been “done” just like eg. the people of Ukraine with the Zelensky puppet harvesting the votes of a “policy platform of peace” then immediately implementing the war of his backers. As it seems to me.
What is it that uniquely makes the political powers-that-be in the US and Europe incapable of accepting, as we the 99.9…% would, that some plans just didn’t work-out and that is how it is?
Often explained here , e.g.

“I don’t think Trump will get a Nobel Peace Prize out of this.” Maybe that’s why he’s doing this. Obama got one without doing anything for it. Trump is going to hold the future of the world hostage until they give him one too. Somehow that seems to fit what I’ve seen for months.
I wonder what JFK would be saying to the Whitehouse right now.
he would be saying, “RFK should be living there, instead of the bonehead.”
And he would be right
On August 8, the deadline for Trump’s ultimatum is approaching, and the news agenda is becoming increasingly hysterical, but it is not the Russians who are panicking, as they are expected to face Trump’s wrath.
Moscow’s decision on medium – and short-range missiles is a reminder of global security issues, as usual.
Trump is engaging in a confrontation with India, attempting to demonstrate the severity of his intentions. India is perplexed, wondering what their interests are, as usual.
Europe is demonstrating its determination to support Ukraine, as usual.
Despite the panic in the media and the comments, none of the parties involved in the conflict is interested in escalating the situation.
Russia can, but doesn’t want to, and the United States wants to, but can’t.
Europe, India, China, and others are eager to be left alone.
Nothing significant will happen. There will be no nuclear war.
if you believe ANYTHING the news media puts out, well……..

Already forgotten the SVR alert yesterday?
– The UK most definitely , as they say, wants Russia and USA to have a jolly little war.
However, the UK wants to stay out of the picture.
They can’t anymore – “Russiagate” goes to Court.
There definitely is panic in London.
Trump’s /America’s behaviour is indistinguishable from the murderous evil that is the zionist regime.
The good news, is that like Tel-Aviv being Persia’s bitch, so are NYC, DC, etc Russia’s…
This takeover by evil was described in Cattolica Civilitta back in the 1890’s. The root is the Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite of the French overthrow of the Monarchy. (The root of that is philosophical and I am not prepared to explain how)
This motto was the emblem behind which the Jews could hide and pretend to be one of us.
Doubt me? Try Liberte, Equalite, Fraternite on a Gazan….see how that goes over.
Now, do it to workaday Americans,
Or, do the recent interview with E.Michael Jones and Coffee and a Mike, where the host focuses on the evil that infests America.
This evil infests America, Palestine, Europe and other nations who recognize a moral law as binding on all humanity, Hungary, Russia, Persia, recognize it and what it intends to do to them.

A big 400-year cycle is coming to an end, during which we have all tried to live as if the question of God and the divine presence could be put aside. But it doesn’t work out that way. When this question is put aside, society falls apart. We have empirically proven that without faith, there is no trust. Over the past 400 years, we have tried to replace God with ideology, but ideology is an attempt to create a God without God, and the effectiveness of these ideologies has been declining. If in the 19th century, liberalism and progress were still believed in, then later, in communism and Nazism, after the Second World War, the efficiency became much lower, and the price much higher, after the Second World War, there was an attempt not to believe in anything. This is the world of postmodernism that has won. However, over the past 50 years, this has led to the suicide of civilization, and the previous 400-year cycle is coming to an end. For most people, this is happening intuitively, but only a few understand what is actually happening. Most people, even the decision-makers I’ve interacted with, have a sense of an earthquake. Somewhere deep within, an earthquake has occurred, and we are experiencing seismic shocks. They have no idea what happened or where it occurred. However, there is a sense of everything shaking, everything stopping, and a feeling of an approaching tsunami. This is how I perceive the overall picture.

Putin announces era of radical, revolutionary changes at Socchi Valdai 2024 .
As the Russian leader noted, the society gets “to not only comprehend, but be direct participants of the extremely complex processes”
As English Poet Shelley wrote Gigantic Shadows of Futurity.
The Oligarchy is baffled, incapable of understanding.
As Russian scientist Vernadsky noted, this transition to the Noösphere is not reversible, even with interruptions, and has the character of a ruthless struggle.

Putin obviously doesn’t say everything he thinks, but what he says always reflects what he thinks, and he always does what he says. I’ve observed this constant in him since he became President of the Russian Federation. Now I clearly remember the phrase:
“There will be no world without Russia.”
A few years before this quote, he said that Russia would never again allow the destruction and human losses it suffered in World War II.
I conclude from what he said that, firstly, Russia will do literally everything to ensure state sovereignty and security, and secondly, that Russia will not wait until enemy nuclear missiles or nuclear bombs are detonated in Russia. If aircraft, missiles, or cruise missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads fly toward Russian territory, Russian nuclear weapons will also be used on US territory. The idea of a limited nuclear war, the destruction of Russia, and the integrity of the United States is absurd. Russia will not allow this US plan to become a reality. Whether Russia will resort to preventive measures at a certain stage, I cannot say. But Russia has proven that it is also acting preventively with its SMO in Ukraine.
The US and the West are incapable of waging a prolonged war against powers like Russia and/or China. Only a “blitzkrieg” can haunt their shitty brains. They cannot sustain a prolonged war in any respect. Furthermore, the majority of Western populations despise their “elites.” What should they die for? For something like LGBTQXYZV + Woke + their broken social system and other bullshit? Their traditional values, traditions, and their cultural and religious heritage are being destroyed, and these populations are uprooted and divided, pitted against each other. In the event of war, a direct conflict, I assume the internet will be shut down to isolate the population from all outside information. But as soon as the grapevine reports of tens of thousands of its own soldiers slaughtered, conscription won’t help anymore. We would see the same scenes as in Ukraine.
One small point to add: Russia’s slow approach in Ukraine may also have a specific reason. The demographic catastrophes of World War II and the 1990s continue to affect Russian society today. Russia’s leadership is trying to avoid as many human casualties as possible.
👏👍

“For something like LGBTQXYZV + Woke + their broken social system and other bullshit?”
Yes, those are the biggest problems in Europe: LGBTQXYZV + Woke
Not that the rich are accumulating wealth non stop, neither low wages nor unemployment rates, not the housing problem … The main problems in Europe are LGBTQXYZV + Woke. Sure.
You do like your grandparents, don’t you? Repeat a lie 1000 times to try to make it true.
(Also: simplify concepts as much as possible, so the most ignorant ones can get it very quickly).
“Their traditional values, traditions, and their cultural and religious heritage are being destroyed,”
Another lie that people like you enjoy repeating non stop.
I can assure you that if tradions and cultural heritage are in danger in Spain it is because the overflow of tourists in some areas. That destroys lots of districts, now full of starfucks cafés and mcshits restaurants so the crowds of low wage tourists can spend their $/€/£.
There is absolutely no sign that traditions and cultural or religious heritage is being destroyed in Spain because of immigrants.
“The demographic catastrophes of World War II and the 1990s continue to affect Russian society today.”
Maybe the working conditions, the alcoholism .. of “now” … have something to do with the situation of “now”?
You cannot seriously blame WWII for the demographic situation of Russia nowadays, 80 years later. (I also doubt about the 1990s, but ok, I admit this can be debatable).
Any sociologist here?

Maybe the working conditions and alcoholism… of the “present” time… have something to do with the situation of the “present” time?”
Yes, yes…vodka, uchanka, a balalaika, and “Kalinka”.
You are quite knowledgeable about “present” Russia.
You should know that we have more fighting bears in Russia than alcoholics.
За рубежом традиционно больше знатоков России, чем в самой России.
I will recall other fateful words of Putin that Russia has exhausted the limit on revolutions in the 20th century, and that Russia will henceforth develop in an evolutionary way, but not in a revolutionary way.
While Trump, having announced the intention to make America great again, is rushing around the world, threatening everyone with great upheavals, including his own citizens, the great words of Stolypin come to mind: “You need great upheavals, and I need a great Russia.”
P.S. Stolypin was a statesman under the reign of Nicholas II.

Golden words!
If humanity and the writing of history still exist after the current era, then I am sure that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin will not only be described as the most important leader of all time in Russia, but also as the most important leader of his time worldwide. With personalities like him and Xi Jinping, humanity at least has the chance to survive. I wish him good health, strength and a long life.

We haven’t had a leader in the US of the caliber of Vladimir Putin in my lifetime with the possible exception of JFK. Our problem is that those whom we cannot mention who control our government won’t allow such a man to get into office. We need a Putin here in the US:

Indeed. AshkeNAZI salute-voting in the UN.
Ashkenazi refers to a group of Jewish people whose ancestors primarily lived in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in the Rhineland region of Germany and later spreading to Eastern Europe. The term “Ashkenazi” originates from the Hebrew word for Germany, “Ashkenaz”. Today, Ashkenazi Jews constitute a significant portion of the global Jewish population, with diverse cultural and linguistic traditions, including the use of Yiddish.
The name Ashkenazi derives from the biblical figure of Ashkenaz, the first son of Gomer, son of Japhet, son of Noah, and a Japhetic patriarch in the Table of Nations (Genesis 10). The name of Gomer has often been linked to the Cimmerians.
The Scythians, also known as the Pontic Scythians, were an ancient Eastern Iranic equestrian nomadic people who migrated during the 9th to 8th centuries BC from Central Asia to the Pontic Steppe in modern-day Ukraine and Southern Russia, where they remained until the 3rd century BC. The West seems determined to ensure that Putin takes back all the mouthy Baltics. He will have to, to create a sufficient buffer for this hard stuff, and it is likely he will need to move to full scale war from like now, to pre-empt western preparedness. That, or the Germans take back their country and join the RF. That way Putin gets these missiles!
I wonder if anyone in the Pentagon has properly gamed all this out.
China is willing to move on Taiwan to distract the US if it comes down to this. Putin must treat the declaration of intent to deploy these weapons in Germany from next year, as a declaration of war on Russia requiring whatever it requires for Russia to ensure its security.
Seriously, western citizens would be better off in every regard as members of the RF- a bloc that actually has valuable core resources as opposed to endless debt on debt.
Trump is currently mired in a FAFO policy.
No that’s fear mongering. Russia is not going to invade the Baltic states and China is not going to invade Taiwan. Why? Because they don’t have to. Once the US goes bankrupt NATO will be dissolved and the current leaders throughout Europe will be feathered and tarred and we (the European people) will install new leaders that work on peace instead of war. China doesn’t need to use military force to get Taiwan to join them as most people in Taiwan want anyway.
Americans don’t want to admit this but the reality is that all these wars are instigated and fueled by the US. When the US can no longer afford to wage war there won’t be many anymore.
👍
Eventually the world will clue in that the US likes war but prefers war in someone else’s back yard with someone else army .
That’s right and the longtime agenda to isolate especially Germany from Russia is more than obvious. Most Germans are starting to figure this out and eventually their ‘leaders’ will have to sever their master’s leash.
Maybe they need the war because of the loss of dollar hegemony?
Or, in E.M. Burlingame’s model, we are in step 7 of the Financialist Kill Chain, the destruction and looting via war.
Did you watch the video between Tucker and Richard Werner? If not, it will change the way you view the “West”.
A aghast Gen. Flynn tweeted on a segment of it, the part of the banks starting wars…
(2:03:55) The Link Between Central Banks and Warfare
https://x.com/TuckerCarlson/status/1949877681027166608
cordially
Richard Werner is famous for his belief that high street banks create money out of thin air like central banks do. Actually high street banks have deposits, and that’s what they lend.
Central banks do create money out of thin air, when the economy needs stimulating, and they ‘destroy’ it again when the economy is ‘overheating’. This went wrong after the financial crisis in 2008-9 and the created money couldn’t be destroyed without destroying the banks.
Not true
Lending creates deposits.
Werner was right .
Lending creates loans.period.Where the loans go is the business of the borrower.
Lending only ‘creates deposits’ because of double-entry bookkeeping. It’s not creating money out of thin air. Banks are dependent on their deposits, which is why they pay interest on them.
smoke and mirrors
Werner’s mistake was trying to control bank lending on the liability side of the balance sheet.
it was a mistake as you can have 100% reserve banking but it still won’t stop banks from lending. As loans creates deposits.
it has to be done on the asset side of the balance sheet. Then it works.

So yes Werner was right
https://new-wayland.com/blog/framework-of-a-basic-bank/
Thanks I didn’t see that one but will. I’ve read a lot on monetary control and how they always use war to extend and further their control. I think this is what we are witnessing, again.
+1
I look forward to your comments on it!
Richard Werner actually confirmed my conviction that banks create currency out of thin air and that all of this if it is for consumption and/or real estate transactions do nothing but fuel inflation. It’s the biggest fraud on earth.
Where does the money to pay interest come from?
Finally something we can agree on.
But Werner’s mistake was trying to control bank lending on the liability side of the balance sheet.

I like your comment, but
The USA may stay afloat for an unknown time, we may not have enough time to wait/hope/expect/predict when they go bankrupt. And maybe the USA has a samsion option too, like Israel.
In the meanwhile we have to have a level of fear to prepare for anything that could happen. Sitting and waiting is not an option I feel
IMO there is little any of us can do because when the USD implodes nothing will be the same and none of us can imagine let alone prepare for it.
Rubbish
Nothing but ideological clap trap.
No, you’re the ignorant one.
Nope you are using conversion theory.
You simply refuse to see the buyers of $’s.
The US today rests on two pillars: military might, the dollar and nothing else. Or more precisely it relies on the rest of the world being afraid of the damage that US military might and a weaponised dollar can inflict. Economic sanctions can only work if the targeted country is dependent on the dollar for trade. As long as the US inspires fear, it will stand and will continue to dump its debt on the world by selling worthless treasury bonds to major countries. The US will go down if the EU goes bankrupt and BRICS dumps the dollar altogether for mutual transactions. The less dollars in international trade, the less appeal of US treasury bonds, the less export of US debt. All it takes is that the world overcomes fear.
👍👏

Gold standard, fixed exchange rate nonsense.
You have no idea how modern money works.
You are just repeating ideological sound bites passed down through the ages by a bunch of ideologues.
I really don’t give a darn hoot for modern money theories. Money has no intrinsic value, it is used to buy goods. For a currency to have worth, there must be goods on the market and the producer / owner of those goods must accept that currency in exchange for them. If the dollar ceases to be the world’s reserve currency, it becomes worthless. There is nothing that the US produces w/o which the world can’t do therefore there’s nothing that makes the dollar indispensable. Saint Ronald Regan and slick Willie Clinton have turned the US economy into a giant Ponzi + racket scheme. That was the price of achieving world hegemony. No clients, no Ponzi. No fear, no racket. Dump the $ and the US is toast.
👍
Nonsense you don’t understand money.
Taxes drive the currency and thus give it value.
Pay your taxes or go to jail.
Thank you for the good laugh. Btw, I have worked 20+ years as an IT consultant, of those 5-6 years in finance.
MMT founder Prof. Abba Lerner blurted out in 1971, “If Germany had accepted austerity, Hitler would not have been necessary”.
👍
The international institutions like the IMF and World Bank have dished out such hard medicine to a long list of countries demanding austerity etc. but now when the US is in an even worse condition it all of sudden is nothing but crickets. This is the typical double standard that the world is furious about. The US has been living off the rest of the world for such a long time that it now demands this. It’s preposterous and wrong. Trump is an almost perfect figure head slash cartoon character of this mindset. He appears to think that the US can demand obedience and subservience to a USD that is not only a weapon but gives the US a free ride on global trade. It’s so over the top arrogant that it boggles the mind.

It seems there’s still no clear understanding of who or what is managing everything. Though the various ‘ideas’ are still in the air, unresolved: Israel, oligarchs, deep state, the MIC, banded corporations, criminal globalists….
None eliminated, none proven.
So the narrative continues using ‘Trump is the one’ as the default. It is all Trump and Trump alone.
That seems to be the best we can do.
A bit amazing. The future of the world depending upon the whims of a man like that?
Well okay. If that’s it then where/when do we start to manipulate him?
His psychology is not so involved, so intricate, so mysterious, is it? That our best brains can’t figure out how to play him?
So how about we start playing him?
I don’t believe it. Any of it.
Okay, Trump is alone and all powerful with it, there are no ‘forces’ inside or outside of america influencing, ‘playing him’.
Okay. America is such a lunatic sh** hole I could believe that: a ragtag band of individual hedonistic self interested amoral pirates all seeking to fulfill the american dream of rising from nothing to untold wealth, fame and power.
Yep.. Nurtured on Hollywood and icrecream. I can believe it.
But the rest of the world?
Where reality and intelligence reigns so much in so many places?
The other 8 billion (and more) people? Spread across all their nations and enclaves and groups, cabals, associations… ?
They don’t have anything in train to manage this lunatic?
They are going to go down in the nuclear holocaust along with all the verbose self important egocentric talking heads that proliferate in all the alt media earnestly mouthing off for years on end and never doing the slightest sensible proactive thing to help anything?
The hard headed men and women of the rest of the world, that whole 8 billion (and more) they are as effete, stupid, useless, clueless, limp and futile as we are here?
To the point where they’ll let themselves be toasted in a nuclear exchange?
Nope. I don’t believe it.
I know damn well that if I had the power of a leader of even a tiny country you can bet your sweet bippie I’d be manoeuvring in the background to ensure my safety one way of the other.
It’d surprise me if they’re not tripping over each other like spies in a comedy.
It’s all under control. One way or the other. Somehow. This world is not about comedians like the western leaders, they just think it is.
Which I guess doesn’t guarantee any one of our western nations mightn’t be nuked even, or ‘taken out’ like a Syria. I could see that. At an extreme.
But global nuclear doom I cannot see. No way. I just cannot see 8 billion people not having any sound reasonable men within them without the power the will and knowledge to control buffoons like Trump, Starmer, Macron, Mertz, Von de Leyen, etc – they’re the stuff of sick comedy, not reality..
Not one country in the world, other than Yemen, is helping Palestinians. WANT TO KNOW WHO CONTROLS THE WORLD GOVTS, THERE’S YOUR ANSWER, jewish supramacy
thanks for getting that off your chest, feel better now????
Reminds me of the painter in Germany: everybody pointing at him, including those that where at least equally guilty. The population accepted it and didn’t question those who were behind and continued their operations and businesses. Maybe if we would have been more critical, we could had dismantled some of the organizations in the background (thinking of the power of the banks for instance and in general the power of money)

“The Power of Banks” , suddenly, while I am not fluent in American History, the early debates/fights over Banks back in the first American Republic.
Again, NATO’s war against Russia in Ukraine is failing. The US economy is starting to implode. It makes sense that the US starts huffing and puffing about nuclear war at this time. Imbecilic.

And for all Putin is doing to protect those 1.5 million Israel-Russian citizens who actually despise Russia, I see that a Russian diplomatic team was attacked by Israeli settlers. I wonder what Putin said to Bibi on that 2nd telephone call. Probably nothing to help the Gazans.
And despite all Putin’s efforts to protect 1.5 million Israeli and Russian citizens”
Don’t be ridiculous, please. Putin doesn’t give a damn about Israeli citizens. All he did out of mercy for Israeli citizens with dual citizenship was to offer to return to their homeland and even sent a couple of planes. There were few who wanted to return, and they were not even noticed in Russia. The rest chose their own destiny.
As for the residents of Gaza, Russia is not a fire truck to put out fires that are being set by others, as long as these fires are not occurring on our borders.
It’s a pity for the Palestinians, of course, but it’s just as pity for the Russians who died in the SVO zone and the Series. It’s not a pity for the Israelis.
👍
EVERY COUNTRY in the world CAN STOP EXPORTING AND IMPORTING from israel, something NEITHER RUSSIA OR CHINA HAS DONE
Do you think this will help the people of Gaza and bring Israel to its senses?
No! This is not how it works. An economic embargo fuels wars, but it does not end them.
Instead, a false narrative is spread to the public, and peace prizes are hypocritically awarded.
Agree.
There’s little Putin can do to stop the holocaust in Gaza. American is funding it, aiding it, collaborating in it.
I agree, unfortunately for the people of Gaza the starvation has reached the critical point of famine and “no-return”. The time to save them is long past. It’s now time to destroy the evil that caused it, and I mean the Zionist state of Isreal.
ZIONISM is a disease that needs to be eradicated, EVERYWHERE
👍
No it is not. For some, yes. But some are still hanging on via their community kitchens. When I last looked at it there were 500+ Gaza gofundme sites I picked a few of the largest because they seemed poised to do the most over time. With sizeable staffs, so redundancy if/when they lost members (Hani’s brother was targeted a few months after they started their first. It now supports 10 kitchens with 60 volunteers.)
As long as they are hanging on, I will do what I can. As will others.
👂🙏🙏🙏
And Ritter talked so much about everything he’s said before I had to shut it off. Saving the planet from Nuclear annihilation but zero about the children in Gaza. I can always respect a person even if I dislike them and I dislike Mr. Ritter very much. All his spouting about Iran seems to have gotten his Passport back in any event.
He definitely has an opinion about Gaza and surely has expressed his opinion.
But, however terrible and sad the dying of the children in Gaza is, and I feel like crying when seeing the inmense injustice done to the children, women and men, a nuclear war will possible result in the suffering of 2 billion or more, not 2 million people. Those calculations have to be made, unfortunately as The (pathetic) world ‘tries’ to do something about Gaza, people do protest, but the powerfull, with their armies, do not listen and often try to oppress the protesters.
“Donald Trump appeared on the roof of the White House. Passers by walking along Pennsylvania Avenue were heard to shout “jump you fat fucker”.
I’ve been listening to various podcasts interviewing the biographer of Trump (Michael Wolff). I’ve heard that Ryan Dawson wants to interview him. We’ll Wolff has been spilling the beans having spent 1,000 hours with Epstein and it’s TRUMP that looks like the bad guy compared to Epstein. Unbelievable info. and he hasn’t decided if he’s going to write a book. It’s been 10 years and no one was interested and he feels the media has actually been covering for Trump. Some juicy tidbits of Trump’s inner circle. And Melania detests DT and lives in her penthouse in NY. So maybe the story’s true of her getting $250,000 per appearance.
With these sypophants and illiterates I think we’re all doomed…the worst one being Trump himself, genocidal Israel firster Zionist that he is. (I heard the pentalty for boycotting Israeli products equals no FEMA assistance has been reversed. What a “tell”).
And how come no one has picked up the info that Trump himself is part owner of GHF.
But no need to worry for Israel because the United States has already be colonized by Israel firsters and Evangelical Zionists.

This only makes sense if the goal is to hermetically isolate The U.S. – completely – from the rest of the world. There are some serious questions arising from this, like “why?” And particularly: “What for?” And: “Who benefits from that?”
Well, who needs to be shielded when the dust settles? …I mean… …when control is so tight, that it can only be done with 5G or 6G surveillance and sensors/cameras everywhere (“Palabir”…”Palatick”… I can’t really recall…). When your behavior is so screened that the tiniest little deviation from prediction shows up on your social score-card (“Tavistick”)…
Who needs protection with conditions like that? Wouldn’t that be someone without a country? – someone who maybe donated (or were given) a lot of money to their puppets? Someone whose “public image” can’t really be improved…? And… …how many are we talking about…?
And… …what about the original population there…? There’s so much dust… … what’s the word… …”crownspiracy”…? … cough-cough…

Have you heard about the Israeli settlers’ attack on a vehicle belonging to the Representative office of the Russian Federation to Palestinian National Authority and Maria Zakharova’s reprimand yesterday? I have covered it in the update to my latest article on the Iranian National Defense Council, Netanyahu’s problems and the approaching fall of US global hegemony here: https://geopolitiq.substack.com/p/the-iranian-national-defense-council?r=25fc37It looks like Israel and Russia are now officially at loggerheads. I think the war fronts in Ukraine and the Middle East are slowly merging.
They’ve never not been merged. Those who stoked the Ukraine-Russia war are the same people committing a holocaust in Gaza. Demoness Nuland promised Russia some “nasty surprises” (before the Crocus City attack). https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7x0GX4OlyRc
I have twice heard the claim that Trump dumped the treaty so the US could place IRMs against China. These people in Washington are unspeakably reckless.

Nuclear war highly unlikely, because nobody wins? The Elites win of course, safe in their nuke-proof bunkers. All the subhumans get killed and the Elites emerge some time later in Australia. Didn’t you know?
Looked at the first 2 min, seeing the miltary in the plain and noticing the obedience of the people at lower ranks. I know ofc that the military is organized that way as well, cause you want nobody to question orders when you are fighting a war.
But then I thought, these soldiers equally could fight against the citizens of their own country… zum befehl. The same citizens that pays the salaries of the military.
Trump shows definite signs of dementia. So he needs to be taking coconut oil.
https://coconutoil.com/coconut-oil-research-alzheimers/
I just started. You need to start small, 2 to 3 teaspoons per day since it is a laxative, going up to 3 to 4 tablespoons per day. The link has many studies and testimonials. I do not make any money from this. The drug companies won’t fund trials for something they do not make trillions from.
So let’s send Trump cases of it. He was bad enough before his dementia.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdxkA_2qbHY
Jimmy, coconut oil will not protect you from dementia. Whole grains will.
Neurodegenerative disease is caused largely by autophagy failure. Autophagy is controlled by the manganese enzyme PP2A, whose activity is regulated by copper-dependent methylation. Modern meat-and-white-bread diets are very low in manganese and copper.
Thanks for helping me. The research and testimonials say coconut oil will protect and reverse dementia. Did you go to the site?
I am not saying autophagy is not good – it is! I fast 3 days a month, sometimes longer. I fast 18 hours per day.
But the research shows coconut oil works
Hi Jimmy, yes coconut oil contains antioxidants so it will work to some extent in some people. However it may increase iron absorption, which would not be good. Alzheimer brains have iron overload.
Effects of type of fat in the diet on iron bioavailability assessed in suckling and weanling rats – ScienceDirect
“… Pups dosed with a more saturated fat (coconut oil) had a higher % 59Fe in blood than those fed other fat sources…. Rats fed diets based on coconut oil (more saturated) had significantly higher % 59Fe retention (61.6 ± 1.4) than rats fed diets based on FF (49.8 ± 3.4). …”
Iron overload needs manganese

and copper, which is needed for iron efflux from cells.
Evidence for widespread, severe brain copper deficiency in Alzheimer’s dementia† | Metallomics | Oxford Academic
Show me the studies and testimonials that show coconut oil will not cure dementia, that it causes harm. Rats are not people.
Show me the studies where whatever you are advocating cures dementia
The testimonials I provided show COMPLETE cure of dementia
“To ensure that any potential treatment is safe and effective, it is tested in clinical trials. Clinical trials normally test safety first and then effectiveness on a very small group of people, before testing on a much larger group.
One small trial tested medium chain triglycerides – found in coconut oil – on 20 people living with Alzheimer’s disease. In commonly used memory and thinking tests, medium chain triglycerides (MCT) showed no benefit.
Other thinking tests did show benefits, but these tests are thought to be susceptible to participants getting better at them through repeated testing.
All other trials were either withdrawn, incomplete or only confirmed the safety of taking coconut oil or MCT and not tested its effectiveness.”

I spent two years working with OPTIMA, Oxford Project to Investigate Memory and Ageing. I read all the literature. The head of OPTIMA did not believe what I told him about manganese and copper. He does now.

Manganese and copper
The article you quote starts with, “There is currently a lack of evidence to show that coconut oil plays a role in preventing or treating dementia or its symptoms.”
No one will pay for clinical trials for coconut oil since they can not get a patent.
I am not doubting that manganese and copper are important. But you have shown NO evidence that coconut oil does not work. We have plenty or testimonials that it does
Yes, no one will pay for clinical trials, that’s the problem with Mn and Cu supplements, which I don’t think would be a good idea anyway. But there is research now showing whole grains do work against Alzheimer’s. Everybody thinks this is due to the fibre, because they know nothing about manganese or copper. Or magnesium, also important.
I just looked up ‘coconut oil autophagy’ and it seems this might be the way it works. What do you think?
Since I cannot run trials, I cannot “know”. What I do know is that many people have had there dementia reversed with it.
My iron is always at the low end of the scale. So somewhat higher iron for me won’t be problem. I will have it, my manganese and copper measured.
I have started the coconut oil, up to 2 tablespoons per day, will go higher. Will keep this board informed. My sleep has improved. Of course, I cannot prove it is due to the coconut oil.
Warm regards
Yes I understand.
The problem with the cures of course is that they might have been due to the placebo effect, which can be very powerful.
I’m sorry to come with more bad news. If your blood iron is low, it might actually mean iron overload. In inflammatory states, iron is withdrawn from the blood to avoid feeding microorganisms and cancer cells. The same applies to zinc, and lots of people think they have zinc deficiency when they don’t. At the same time, copper in the blood is increased, the purpose being to detoxify free iron. People then think they have copper overload when they probably have copper deficiency, which is difficult to diagnose.
Getting enough Mn and Cu is a problem. The amount of copper in British vegetables is only a quarter of what it was in 1940, according to government figures. This is no doubt due to the use of artificial fertilisers which contain only nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Manganese was not studied but I understand it’s very low in British soils. It will be the same in the US I expect.

Placebo effect for a person with advanced dementia to become fully aware again?
The article talks about alternative medicine claiming that placebo effect is still healing, but in realtiy placebo effects were only able to have minor positive effects when tested..
Do dementia sufferers ever spontenously come back? Some, for short time.
https://theconversation.com/terminal-lucidity-why-do-loved-ones-with-dementia-sometimes-come-back-before-death-202342
“It is estimated 43% of people who experience this brief lucidity die within 24 hours, and 84% within a week….But not all lucid episodes indicate death is imminent. One study found many people with advanced dementia will show brief glimmers of their old selves more than six months before death.”
I followed up on one of the stories on Coconutoil site, Kal Parmar. https://coconutoil.com/film-to-be-made-of-fathers-recovery-from-alzheimers-with-coconut-oil/“Within a month his mood completely changed,” said Rashi. “He became calmer and relaxed. He started shaving, then bathing on his own. Then one day he gave me a hug and said my name. It was the most emotional moment.” That was back in about 2007. There is now a film on Vimeo, https://vimeo.com/77281618 from 2013.
At any rate, I am doing 3 tablespoons a day. I was not in full blown dementia, but it seemed to me that my memory was not what it used to be. There are many benefits to coconut oil. I will watch my iron, manganese and copper levels and try to eat foods rich in the last two.
warm regards
Jimmy
I’m not sure that article on the placebo effect tells the whole story.
“…Dopamine and the endorphins have been clearly shown to be mediators of placebo effects. Brain imaging has demonstrated that placebos can mimic the effect of the active drugs and activate the same brain areas. …”
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15990450/
If you look up ‘dopamine dementia’ and ‘dopamine coconut oil’ you will find some interesting things.
Interesting. However, coconut oil was able to totally reverse dementia without L-dopa. No placebo effect was able to do that. The article on placebo effect said that alternative cures’ placebo effects were only able to do minimal changes for short periods. Therefore, I do not think that the placebo effect is in play with coconut oil.
Warm regards
So how does coconut oil do it? The story seems to be that it provides ‘energy’. It does contain antioxidants, which is much more plausible.
How do you know that the people who had their dementia reversed by coconut oil didn’t do other things as well? Like eating whole grains instead of refined ones?
Not knowing how does not mean it does not do it.
I do not know that the cured ones did not change their diet at the same time since I was not there. What I do know is that none their stories say they changed anything else.
Show me the testimonials that whole grain diet change completely cured demenita.
“Conclusions: Higher consumption of total and several common individual WG foods was strongly associated with a lower risk of all-cause dementia and AD dementia.”
High consumption of whole grain foods decreases the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease: Framingham Offspring Cohort – PubMed
33% and 40% reduction of dementia occurances over 12 years. Nothing about how severe the dementia was with and without the whole grains or if it reversed dementia. The Coconut oil takers had complete remission.
Do you know what proportion of coconut oil takers have complete remission? One in 100? One in 1000? Unless you have a study like the whole grains one, you cannot tell what is happening. And you do need a mechanism. I don’t see one unless it’s a combination of coconut oil boosting dopamine and the placebo effect boosting dopamine. I would have thought you’d be very satisfied with that explanation.
The placebo effect can be extraordinarily powerful. Some German doctors actually prescribe placebos, and they work. After clinical trials, many subjects who find out they were on the placebo ask to get them again.
There is only a 33% reduction in the onset of dementia with whole foods. There are no stories about any of them going from full blown dementia into remission. I searched for remission from dementia and gave you the link. None except for just before death, 6 months at the most.
There is no downside on taking coconut oil. There is only a 33% upside to whole grains.
There are plenty of remission stories with coconut oil, percentage or not,
No I do not need a mechanism, I need results
Well I certainly don’t want to discourage you from taking coconut oil. Best of luck with it.
Thank you, Jane. Best of luck to you, too. I’ll get my blood anaylsed the first of next year. I will send you the results here
Thanks. I have greatly enjoyed talking to you.

“Don’t Panic!”, but “It’s the economy, Stupid”. We have and continue to live in “1984”. TPTB do not want a nuclear war since that would be “game over”, no more profits. They do want endless proxy wars and a forever arms race.
BUT, Russia is winning these races while the US deficit is rising to stratospheric heights. When that bubble bursts, the US will be done. That will be the most dangerous time, but I still do not think they will go nuclear since they would lose that fight too, and the gravy train would not survive.
More evidence that the US is on a collision course with madness – think of it ***********************

Putin, by not taking out the Nazi’s in Kiev for 3-1/2 years and going, has brought the whole shit show upon himself and upon Russia. He will probably warn/threaten/retaliate by interview with Zarubin (sp.?) and that will be it from the blowhard.
Putin has too many uncritical fanboy-commentators in the West, and that includes –I am afraid– at least 50% of the names you mentioned in this article.
Wait, lets blame it on putin. Funny how you are doing the same what those effing warmonger elitte in the west is doing for many years…. Blame it on Putin😂😂😂
Your comment defies reality by blaming Putin for a shitshow owned and operated by the Americans and their European vassals.
How can you have a one-man boxing match? He is a judo master.
When the Ukrainian defectors defeated the Ukrainian army, he gave the victory away with the Minsk Accords. While Ukraine was rearming, he clung to the Minsk Accords.
When the Ukrainian army was ready to pounce, he defeated them in two weeks, then moved his troops back from Kiev as a confidence-building measure.
After the Bucha massacre had shown the Russian-leaning population what was in store for them, he dug in along the frontline, and only killed those brought to the front (i.e. the Russian-leaning remnant), rather than bombard the Azov units in the rear and the command centres in the west.
His cook produced a better army than his General Staff. Once Wagner was incorporated into the regular army, and the corrupt generals had been prosecuted, he began to win bigtime.
A million Ukrainians have been killed, and the dolts at NATO couldn’t care less. Why should they settle, when they’re rolling in the money? The war has not been brought home to them.
I take a jaundiced view because I have watched far too much Martyanov. He only ever talks about the Patriotic War army and the current army, never the Yeltsin army which he left to become a citizen of the country which was actively destroying his own. It is that army which we need to understand.
It is this army that we need to understand.”
You will not be able to understand the Russian army, judging by what you have written.
Fortunately, instead of Martyanov, who left his homeland and his native army in the most troubled and difficult times, Russians have Colonel Vladimir Trukhan and his streams, podcasts, and closed lectures, in which he explains everything, puts things in their place, and debunks misconceptions that are driven by a desire to discredit the Russian army in one way or another.
Whether or not he left, and for what reasons he left is immaterial, he is an invaluable source, and by far the best on military matters in the West. He and Trukhan seem to agree on just about everything, except for the cigarettes.
👍
Intermediate Nuclear Forces treaty has been disowned by US since 2019. Russia just said it is not abiding.
Look at DPRK. Japan and Korea are immaterial. DPRK could take out most US bases in West Pac today!
If Iran followed DPRK lead a small nuclear force could eliminate NATO bases in east Turkey and “obliterate: (Trump’s B-2 sorties!) Israel.
Theater nuclear war is a thing! Not so much for Washington!
The West believes theatre nuclear war is a thing – not Russia. If nukes are used against Russians, they will consider that an existential attack and will respond massively as a result.
The US wants us to believe that nuclear war can be confined to certain regions, like Europe, West Asia and the Far East – indeed, I believe they are positioning themselves for just a situation. However, they do not believe their own country, traditionally protected by two oceans and possessing thousands of nukes, would ever become such a victim. They might be right.
But they might be wrong.
👍 Exactly. Certain neocons have argued for a couple decades that the US could win a “limited” nuclear war. And flirting with it more & more, edging closer to the abyss.
They are definitely wrong. If you want to kill a snake, cut off its head.
But they might be wrong.
No “might” about it. If a nuke (even a small, tactical one) goes off anywhere near or in russian territory (which, BTW, includes Crimea, Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhie), russians will respond with everything they’ve got. And they won’t just target the launchers in Europe; they’ll launch against the decision-making centers in UK, USA, France, Germany, etc. It seems that the americans politicians didn’t get the memo that they’re no longer safe between two oceans – an ICBM or hypersonic will reach them.
👍
It’s true.
Just take out Langley, Foggy Bottom and the Utah data center. Leave the rest of us out of it (as if).

Better to express glee, than to go into depression because of the sheer stupidity of a relative few that do threaten society
Trump needs taken out! He’s a danger to all of us! God help us…
The raging orange ego has a god complex.
Too bad the midterms aren’t until 2026.
And now with the Democrats over their heads in Russiagate (Mike Benz thinks Brennan will take the fall), and covering for Biden’s senility, they could never be counted on to “do the right thing” and impeach Trump. He’ll never be removed by the 25th Amendment either. And Netanyahu has him by the….ummm….blackmail??
In my entire adult life I have never seen our country fall this low, especially the corruption and obvious subservience to Israel, even supporting genocide and the illegal war against Iran.
Now, I am seriously afraid Trump will destroy all life on this planet. Not exactly the way I planned on my family and me going out.
I feel nauseated at these thoughts.
Yup, similar to that of doctors. You know what the difference between God and a doctor is? God doesn’t think he’s a doctor…
