If you are still wondering why the United States failed to prevail in Iraq and Afghanistan, especially Afghanistan, all you need to do is watch today’s press conference of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Brussels, Belgium. What a veritable clown show! The remarks by Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley revealed two guys with an iron grip on delusion and a total lack of self-awareness.
The audacity of these two failed military leaders to pretend they are qualified to offer advice to Ukraine on how to fight a first world military when their own dismal military records show they failed to defeat a bunch of goat herders and tribesmen that had no combat air, no helicopters and no artillery is the definition of chutzpah. It would be funny were it not for the slaughter underway in Ukraine.
Here are some of the lowlights from Austin’s opening remarks:
He accuses Russia of deliberating targeting civilians (a lie) and ignores the last eight years of Ukraine killing its own civilians in the Donbas.
He accuses Putin of causing world chaos, even though the shortages of food and oil along with collapsing economies in Europe were self-inflicted wounds by NATO. NATO did that, not Putin.
Austin pledges to support Ukraine for the long haul by PROMISING more HIMARS ammo, heavy machine guns, 181 MRAPs and 2000 Anti-Tank Guided Missiles plus an additional $1.75 billion for air defense systems. He failed to mention that none of that materiel will be arriving any time soon because U.S. and European stockpiles are almost depleted.
Along with providing more Cow Bell, Austin insists that the Contact Group will be synchronizing donations into an integrated training plan. Oh yeah, almost forgot, Ukraine will be getting more tanks and air defense systems (which will not arrive for months). He skipped over the tiny, insignificant detail of the lack of logistics support for these systems and the months of training required for Ukrainian troops to be minimally proficient with those systems.
Good speech, Lloyd.
Next up, General Milley. At least he did not mis-pronoun anyone:
NATO and this Coalition has never been stronger and Russia is now a global pariah.
I am surprised no one laughed at this blatantly ridiculous claim. Poland is carping at Germany. Turkey told Sweden no deal on entering NATO. Hungary is expressing grave reservations. Meanwhile, Putin has forged closer ties with China, India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Brazil. Time for the Princess Bride:
Russia has lost, they’ve lost strategically operationally and tactically and they are paying an enormous price on the battlefield.
Hey Mark. Losing is when you abandon Afghanistan with desperate souls hanging on to the wheels and wings of departing U.S. aircraft and falling to their deaths. Losing is when the army you trained failed to hold against the Taliban. Losing is when you abandon Afghan allies who put their trust in you. Russia swept the Ukrainians from Mariupol and is in the process of doing the same thing in the Donbas. Exactly how is Russia losing strategically, operationally and tactically? Just because you say it does not make it true.
The nation of Ukraine is united for one single purpose — to expel the Russian forces from their territory and to defend themselves.
At the outset of the Special Military Operation Ukraine had a larger army in the field than Russia. That is no longer the case. Russia destroyed Ukraine’s tank brigades and now Ukraine is begging desperately for replacements. Ukraine’s Army has been decimated by the Russian tactic of using artillery to attack and destroy fixed entrenchments. Even if NATO decided to mobilize and send its own troops to reinforce Ukraine, that would not be enough to “expel” Russian forces. Russia is fighting for its homeland.
The Russian military has paid tremendous costs in their war of aggression and now they’ve resorted to sending conscripts and prisoners to imminent death.
It would appear that Milley got confused about the briefing he received on Ukrainian casualties. Russia’s so-called “conscripts” are military reservists, plus an estimated 100,000 volunteers who signed up. Ukraine, by contrast, is kidnapping 16 year old boys and 60 year old men off the streets in places like Kiev and Odessa. I find it hard to believe that Milley really believes the crap he is spewing. If he does then the United States military is in grave danger with a moron like that in charge.
Countries have pledged tanks 22 have pledged infantry Fighting Vehicle, 16 pledged artillery and Munitions and nine more pledged Air Defense Artillery. The group is focused focused on delivering the capabilities committed and efficiently providing the training the spare parts the sustainment logistics necessary for the Full Employment of these systems. Training, maintaining and sustaining Ukraine remains key for Ukraine to prevail.
It is guys like Milley that are the bread and butter of casinos around the world. He keeps doubling down and betting money he does not have in hopes of turning up a Royal Flush. A man with his experience should understand that even if the West can pony up the new weapons and vehicles and tanks, Ukraine is many months away from being able to use them effectively on the battlefield. Ukraine does not have the luxury of time.
Russia by contrast is waging a very costly war of attrition while Ukraine is effectively leveraging their asymmetric advantages in order to defend itself and the most important asymmetric Advantage they have is courage, resilience and tactical skill.
This is a real head scratch-er. Apparently Milley believes the Ukrainians have the same magical military skills of the Taliban and will be able, somehow, to defeat the Russian military just as the U.S. was vanquished from Afghanistan. Russia enjoys advantages in personnel, tanks, artillery, ammunition, electronic warfare, combat aircraft, helicopters and hyper sonic missiles. There is zero evidence that Ukraine has more courage, resilience or tactical skill than the Russians. In fact, the real asymmetry is that Russia has more trained soldiers than Ukraine by a vast margin.
It’s to uphold the rules-based international order in order that rejects the idea that big strong powerful Nations can attack other smaller countries that borders shall not change.
Hypocrisy, thy name is Milley. This is the quintessential pot calling the kettle black moment from this presser. The list of small countries that the United States and NATO have attacked is long — Afghanistan, Iraq (twice), Syria, Libya, the Balkans, Panama, Dominican Republic, Vietnam, etc. Since 1990, Russia has fought Georgia and now Ukraine. Their military operations in Syria came at the request of the recognized government. I wish that NATO would live up to the ideal of a “rules-based international order.” But the rules that Milley has in mind are house rules. It is a crooked casino.
We’re going to continue to work with Ukraine to address Ukraine’s most pressing needs again you know they’re contemplating an offensive in uh in the spring and that’s just weeks away and so we have a lot to get done so if you think about the numbers of systems that we’re bringing together: Bradley’s Strikers Marders CB 90s, 113s yeah artillery in the list goes on and on. It’s a Monumental task to bring a those systems together, get the troops trained on those platforms and make sure we have sustainment for that for for all of those systems and get those systems into the fight. So that’s that’s really the focus of our our of our conversation today.
Von Clausewitz he ain’t. What General worth a cup of warm spit announces in advance when a “contemplated” offensive will take place. How about keeping your cards close to your vest and not tipping off your opponent what you are going to do?
Looks like NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Mark Milley are not on the same page. Jens made this uncomfortable (but truthful) admission yesterday:
“It is clear that we are in a race of logistics,” he said. “The war in Ukraine is consuming an enormous amount of munitions and depleting allied stockpiles.”
Mr. Stoltenberg said Ukrainian troops are expending ammo at “many times higher” than the current rate of production for NATO members. The situation is putting pressure on allied defense industries.
He said the waiting time for large caliber ammunition — such as shells for the 155mm howitzers sent by the U.S. — has increased from 12 to 28 months, on average.
“Orders placed today would only be delivered 2½ years later. So we need to ramp up production and invest in our production capacity,” Mr. Stoltenberg told reporters at NATO headquarters.
Ukraine, with the help of the West, is sleep walking into the slaughterhouse. Ukraine and NATO’s refusal to wake up and grasp the reality of what is happening is likely to lead to the destruction of both.
What did Milley get all those rows of ribbons for?
By the way, his left sleeve chevrons are in the exact colours of the blueyellow Ukranazi rag. It’s that a coincidence, anyone know?
It’s a coincidence. Top blue tab says “Special Forces” and yellow tab says “Ranger” and both signify that he graduated those schools.
I researched this once and did not find where he went through the entire training to earn a Green Beret! Don’t know about Ranger School.
The ribbons? Take a look at the brown stain on his nose.
As for the blue and yellow chevrons. That is not the US military copying the Ukrainians — it is the Ukrainians copying the US military.
Snarks aside, Larry is pointing to the high level of institutional incompetency in the US military hierarchy – and indeed to most, if not all American institutional bureaucracies.
The Ukraine is a slave state. Actually, less than that. It is a lifestock state. The cows are herded into the slaughterhouse. Happily. The same can be said for most of Europe and also Japan where I am. Moo. Moo. America=McDonalds. Cheap burgers to cull the masses.
I do voiceovers for SouthFront. My last one sourced a WSJ article, which noted that US Defense Industries lack the resources to replenish the dwindling supplies of US weapons. The industrial base has been hollowed out. Of course, the “defense” companies were howling for more funding but I note from own research that their profitability has remained constant over decade and increased despite slow production. And stock prices are up!
Yet, should the Chinese cut off rare earths, the US defense industry would no longer be to produce anything. Of course, the US is desperately looking for other sources–so far unsuccessfully–the Chinese dominate the market.
So, naturally — what does the US do?
a.) lie about their losing ways against Russia
b.) lie about their losing ways against China
c.) lie about the competence of the Biden admin
d.) invent a war on balloons and UFOs
Next war? The Little Green Men from outerspace. Now, however, the US is saying that the Chinese balloon flew over the US accidentally — as weather balloon are want to. So spend a couple of millions shooting down balloons. Don’t buy your kid a balloon. You and he/she/it might get zapped by HIMARS.
https://julianmacfarlane.substack.com/p/the-war-on-balloons
As to the ribbons, six of the seven topmost ribbons are end-of-tour decorations for senior officers (Lt Col. – General), to be sure, a few of them might be given to enlisted troops, but not many. In the middle, there are the Afghanistan, Iraq, and armed forces expeditionary medals, (been there, done that frippery, with him, probably most at the mid-rank grades, but up to general ranks.) The red and yellow ribbon in the middle of the pack is given for breathing, as in, everyone in uniform gets one. When it first came out in the sixties, we called it the fire-watch ribbon, and when we were in Arlington, we christened it as the Shirley highway expeditionary medal. As to the rest, just the usual stuff most people get. The ones on the other side are
unit-type commendation ribbons. There are no hero medals, (represented here by ribbons) like
medals of honor, silver stars, bronze stars, or purple hearts. All in all, just the usual, a bit on the low end for an army dude of his rank, and as the highest-ranking officer in the armed forces.
If one is interested in Generals that have been in the shite, the cohort that served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam combined top the list. below is a link to one of them. General Abrams, who replaced that tennis-playing piece-of-shite Westmoreland said of general Raymond G. Davis, “He has no peers.” What he did in Korea’s Chosin Reservoir is absolutely mind-boggling. Check out his “hero” medals.
https://www.usni.org/magazines/proceedings/2003/november/interview-general-raymond-g-davis-usmc-ret-they-never-faltered
So, to summarize, today’s crop of generals, are, to my mind, mostly trash, having been sent, by even more garbage-like presidents, to far-off shitholes, in order to lose wars, Afghanistan being the biggest humiliation in history.
So, back to Milley-Vanilly, he is mostly an asshole, while he has probably done some worthwhile stuff, you don’t rise to his level without kissing beaucoup ass and staying out of the limelight, and not making waves. Hell, he has only one more ribbon than I had, with a much longer career, plus, I was enlisted, also with no hero medals.
Superb article about U.S. Marine General Raymond Davis. Had never heard of him before. Thank you for the link. (Well worth the reading for gaining an understanding of the things that make for an outstanding general officer.)
Its not only the USA that has a problem.
General Surovikin; A traitor, or totally incompetent.
The Russian General Surovikin (and associates) organized the withdrawal from Kherson (Ukraine).
The main reason Surovikin ordered Russian forces to withdraw was that the Russians had just comprehensively stopped the Ukrainian offensive. All was relatively quiet. Any counter-offensive would have punched a hole right through the Ukrainian lines, their forces would have been encircled, and destroyed. It was imperative that the Russians were pulled back before the precarious state of the Ukrainian forces became known.
At this time the Ukrainians were way overextended and were not able to fight this two front war. One front had to be closed down. As the front east of the Dnieper river was by far the stronger, Surovikin had the Russians abandon the front west of the Dnieper. To make sure that the Russians could not easily reopen this front, Surovikin had the southern bridges over the Dnieper blown up. That’s right, Surovikin blew up the bridges useful to the Russians. Surovikin never touched the bridges that were of vital importance to the Ukrainians. In fact, the northern bridges over the Dnieper are all still standing.
Surovikin claims that the 30,000 Russian soldiers west of Kherson could not be supplied with the necessary ammunition, etc. This of course is total garbage, considering that they had just done exactly this in stopping the Ukrainian Kherson offensive. Surovikin’s claim is simply a lie. Remember, back in February the whole 30,000 man army, with all its equipment, had crossed to Kherson within a couple of days. Similarly, when they withdrew. Thus in the weeks where the civilians were pulled out of Kherson, the 30,000 man army could have been heavily reinforced, and supplied with enough equipment to smash the Ukrainian forces, but, of course, this was not wanted.
Since there were no good excuses for pulling out of Kherson, Surovikin had to grasp at straws, suggesting that artillery/missile strikes could cause the sudden breaking of the Kakhovka dam, which would wash away the bridges, and trap the 30,000 man army west of the Dnieper. Of course, even thousands of hits on the dam would not result in catastrophic failure. A gradual uncontrolled leakage of water may have occurred, resulting in a short-term flooding of some areas but nothing that would wash away bridges. (And even if the bridges were lost it would be easy enough to resupply the men by landing craft, ferries, and other boats. Resupply by aircraft would likely be too dangerous.)
Another reason that the Russians were ordered out of Kherson is that the Ukrainians had no way to stop a determined advance toward Odessa. Without Kherson as a staging area the Russians would no longer have this option. If the Russians had tried to advance on Odessa they would have met minimal resistance. The reason the Ukrainians have to continually tell you how strong their forces are, is because they are not strong.
It is clear that as long as Surovikin (and associates) are in charge, there will be no Russian attempt to cut Ukrainian supply lines as the Ukrainian army would collapse in short time. The talk of a winter offensive to cut the supply lines is just talk. It will not happen as it would quickly lead to a Ukrainian defeat.
Surovikin will continue to claim that attacking into the teeth of the Ukrainian defenses is the only way to save Russian lives. As the Ukrainians sit in their concrete bunkers and mow down any exposed Russian forces, Surovikin will tell us that things have to be done this way, to save Russian lives. Any talk of finding one of the thousands of weak spots in the Ukrainian line, breaking through the line there, and attacking the concrete bunkers from the back, will be taboo. Since frontal attacks require wasting huge quantities of ammunition such attacks will probably continue till the Russians exhaust their supplies. The best tactic for destroying fortified positions will never be allowed.
And then Putin will give Surovikin a medal.
This last section was written before the Wagner group did actually seek out weak spots in the Ukrainian line, and broke through there, with the intention of encircling their enemy, and, if necessary, attack from the back.
It is now clear that the winter offensive, with all its advantages, will not occur. The Russian high command is clearly waiting for Ukrainian side to receive thousands more anti-tank weapons before any major offensive to cut supply.
So, where have we seen the withdrawal of an army just after they had won the battle, so that they ended up losing. Yes, when Hitler ordered Manstein to withdraw just after he had broken through the southern front, and essentially won the world war two battle of Kursk. About that battle, Field Marshal Erich von Manstein, the commander of Army Group South said;
“Speaking for my own Army Group, I pointed out (to Hitler) that the battle was now at its culminating point, and that to break it off at this moment would be tantamount to throwing a victory away.”
I saw the comment about Surovikin posted on https://www.moonofalabama.org/ but it was deleted.
Anyone know why moonofalabama.org deleted it?
Thanks, my pleasure!
In comparison, RUssia’s generals lead from the front. Taking fire.
Look closer… Multiple bronze stars.
Julian:
My congratulations for your work in South Front. I keep track of your videos. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you Julian. Truth, honesty and insight are refreshing.
I’ll guess I’ll have to pass on vacationing in Albuquerque, NM for their annual balloon festival!!!
The first thing to note is that since 1945, with the exceptions of Suez, Aden, Algeria and Malaya, the US military has been present at every shit show where one or more NATO powers took to having a kick-about with a third world adversary or guerilla movement, so there is plenty of scope for the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to have scored campaigns by showing up for some of those kick abouts. As an aside, I’ve heard such mobilizations derogatorily referred to on occassion as ‘the throng for a gong’, or in reference to deployment bonuses, ‘the dash for cash’; usually by service members who missed out on deployment.
I’ve been told that in the US military you get a ribbon to sew on your chest for courses, just like boy scout’s patches; somewhere on his chest then will be the patch to let you know which recruit course Gen Milley finished (in fairness, this information comes from ‘O’s serving or retired from Commonwealth militaries, who after a lifetime of service will have far fewer decorations to show since ribbons correspond to medals awarded for conspicuous gallantry under fire, service above the call of duty, long service, etc, and campaigns; so it may be/probably is an exageration).
Flippantly, I wonder in today’s world of cow bell whether there’s a pink or rainbow patch to let you know the General completed a diversity and equity course, or a tutorial on white rage.
To be fair to the General, above all the ribbons on the left breast he’s wearing a Combat Infantryman’s Badge which means at some point before being promoted higher than the rank of Colonel, he was an infantry or special forces soldier, assigned to an infantry or special forces unit while it was engaged in active combat and that he participated in that combat. The shoulder flashes on Gen Milley’s left shoulder denote service in the Special Forces and Rangers, (a coincidence that they appear the same colours as the piss and tears banners that were ‘the current thing’ last year).
So fair play to the General, there are plenty of decorations on his chest and shoulders that will have been earned the hard way.
We called them Gedunk campaign ribbons in the US Navy circa ’68. They have an Idi Amin flashy-ness, and damned sure impresses the young ladies back home!
Participation trophies, everyone in the military gets an award for showing up. Be OK at your job, don’t have an alcohol related incident & keep your pants zipped, award.
Probably the same place John Kerry got his ‘Purple Heart’.
Milly the moron!
The biggest lies are those we tell ourselves. It takes the fervour of religious faith and ideological self-blinding to believe it. This is not going to end well for the IS and NATO.
*US and NATO.
Given their idealistic monomanias – money and heaven – are we sure the US and IS are not cut from the same cloth?
Looks like a lot of people are going to be disappointed … can;t take the money with you, and Heaven Can Wait
https://redshoe.com/theology/heaven-can-wait.html
No surprise from this administration. From day 1 and the campaign they would spew garbage and when called on it would never show proof but double down. It’s in everything they do.
The intended audience for all this nonsense is, and has always been, the poor rubes in the ranks of the Ukr army.
It’s designed to give them hope so they hang on until they are killed and do not surrender or mutiny
I don’t reckon the Ukie frontline soldiers would be watching any television. Especially with English speaking talking heads.
The intended audience is us, the brain dead telly watching citizens of the “West”.
They want to give hope so we don’t complain about the billions being squandered on the MIC while our infrastructure fails and our taxes rise.
Hang on a minute Steve, I’m disposed to referring to the idiot box as ‘the telly’; does this mean that I am a rumpled old fart who isn’t conversant with the lingo used by the cool kids or that I’m a thumb sucking baby who should grow up and talk properly?
…I also frequently refer to the idiot box as ‘the gobbley box’, borrowing my Dad’s name for it, because it generally displays a procession of turkeys imparting the intellectual equivalent of “gobble, gobble, gobble…” on the audience. I gather I should wash my thumb before sucking it.
I do agree with the main point you’ve both made on who is the intended audience for all this kabuki theatre. It’s not anyone in 404.
With reference to the Ukrops in the field, there was a video shared on Telegram yesterday of a PoW asking his Russian captors for a ‘goodbye smoke’ since he was quite convinced there was an ‘Orc’ bullet with his name on it, chambered and waiting for an imminent appointment. The bewildered Russian soldiers asked “what goodbye? we’re not saying ‘goodbye’ to anyone around here…”
With that in mind, it would be better for everyone if Ukrops had been watching Lloyd Auston and Mark Milley on the telly instead of what ever bullshit they’ve been getting programmed with over the last eight years.
Drawing a longer bow, it would have been better yet if instead of watch the telly, they’d been reading the works of ‘Roger Mellie the man on telly’ instead, then everyone could be sitting around a butyl of vodka or piva comparing notes from the ‘Profanisaurus’ and finding suitable Angleski adjectives for the clown show in Brussels and Washington.
I think the audience are the rubes in the NATO countries so they are onboard with sending more money down this rat hole.
“The intended audience for all this nonsense is, and has always been, the poor rubes in the ranks of the Ukr army”…maybe, but also the poor rubes in the United States of America who religiously believe everything the Government and Media tell them.
I already posted message but I can’t edit this what I meant to say.
These lunatics are going to kill us all. Russia has already won. And I for one am happy they have.
Yeah, but it’ll have to be on guard from these freaks for decades.
Anyone notice the people who believe the official tv -DC narrative concerning all things Ukraine also believe, still, all things covid-Fauci ?
You’d think Austin at least would have been able to add a dance to that song.
Take that however you want, but White Men Can’t Dance wasn’t just a movie. Exceptions of course there are, like me 😉
It’s to uphold the rules-based international order in order that rejects the idea that big strong powerful Nations can attack other smaller countries that borders shall not change.
Most of us can have awkward moments when speaking without benefit of script, but good lord, this is beyond awkward. It sounds like English-as-a-4th-language delivered by a parrot with a speech defect. I hope General Milley is better at warfare than he is at verbalizing … no, actually I don’t.
Uh-oh. Now I’m reading that the Secretary of Confusion and General Anesthesia were talking from scripts. If those are accurate transcripts then not only did the Kings for a Day sound like dunces but their speech writing staffers are sub-literate. My brain hurts.
He’s where he is because he’s diverse. He might also be gay, and self-flagellates, or has someone or a machine do it for him. In short, he fills a niche, that in a normal country, (does that even exist) needs no filling.
mr. Johnson – these 2 gentlemen if yu can call them that remind me of these arrogant officers in the babylon 5 orgin movie. it is quite telling. this is my favourite sci-fi series of all time. made it through 20 minutes of their vid and it was enough.
Babylon 5 – Londo: “Arrogance and Stupidity”

As far as our capabilities for industrial war production; we are know in the same position reversed as japan was to the usa going into ww2. When yu look at the link below the usa-eu are know japan and russia-china are know the usa.
http://www.combinedfleet.com/economic.htm
we are also in the same position i believe to effectively intervene with us – nato forces in the ukraine as the japanese were in a position to invade hawai which is essentially very low odds in our favor.

Ralph, Great stuff. Thank you.
Londo was the greatest character in SciFi history. Tragi-comic yet insightful.
Thanks for the reminder.
From the greatest sci-fi series in history, hands down. Goes to show that a low budget, crap special effects, and cheesy music can’t get in the way of a good story. The writers of Star Trek should take note.
That being said, the show is getting a reboot. Keep your fingers crossed that they don’t ruin it.
I bet the woke film industry will doing just that.
According to this guy who is a total critic of wokeness; the last season of picard which reunites the star trek next generation cast is well worth watching. he got fairly emotional during the vid about it

As allways I enjoyed your post very much.
Thank you for the links, there is a lot I have to watch now.
i hope yu are doing well. i wish they would have made movies or miniseries of these 4 books which would have completed the entire story arc from the beginning to the death of sheridan on film.
mostly about londo and vircotto on centauri prime until londos death- 3 books
https://www.amazon.ca/Legions-Fire-Babylon-Centauri-Trilogy/dp/0739414852/ref=lp_959218_1_2
they could have done a miniseries on the psicorps war and finished it off when girabaldi finally gets his hands on bester

Wow, Larry. Another grand slam home run. As always, thank you so much for your amazing, always fact-based insights and work. (Astounding you know more about what’s really happening in Ukraine than all of those Zelensky-applauding, D.C. clapping clowns put together.)
Yep.
And yet the great unwashed believe this crap. Now the US and EU are telling their citizens to leave Russia and Belaruss so they won’t be picked on just like the US did to the ethnic Japanese during WW2. Hypocrisy writ large.
What the Us did to the Japanese was far kinder than what the Japanese would have done to Americans.
Japanese spies in Pearl.
Japanese spies and collaborators from 7 December 1941 along the British Malay peninsular.
Japanese with blood on their bayonets from civilians.
Not for no reason are the Japanese the most hated (yes, hated) of WW2.
Maybe the one needing a great wash is….. You !!!
Hypocrisy writ large …. You !
You’re confusing Japanese soldiers with ethnic Japanese US citizens and residents. They were unfairly targeted by US govt. and imprisoned for the duration of the war due to their ethnicity. Germans weren’t, Italians weren’t.
The Japanese military brutalised their soldiers and they then in turn became acted brutally to civilians (even their own).
Japanese civilians did not and do not have those traits.
I think we should try to RESPECT the platform that allows us to read top-rate insightful analysis by not resorting to gutter languages in our reply!
Insults are not good substitutes for reasoned arguments!
Indeed, you’re confused to your breaking point and shedding your skin, revealing your true self.
You were played. Ha.
Why is stuff like this not deleted.
It seems like you’ve got a typical American hater on your heels, grr. Following you everywhere. I assume you’re way too smart to stoop to his level. Let’s hope Larry takes care of him.
Damn, I went away and it seems there was a shit storm. I missed all the fun.
i think you are far away from reality even you pretend you are not….and i fell sorry for you… US did some of the most vicious war crimes in WW2..remember Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, if you want i can go on and on..let me know..I DO NOT dnay what Japan and Germany did in WW2 but to compare 2 things like that, but all were WAR crimes….and if we look on why Japan attracted US…you have to read more about the disabled US president who beat the stick through the fence for years until Japan had no other option and attacked..but I do not excuse Japan’s attack..but let’s not deny the heinous crimes of the US
After what Nazi Germany did to the Soviet Union, its amazing to see the restraint and humanity by the Soviet soldiers when they occupied Germany. The Germsns ciyld have been wiped out as a batikn, but the impoverished Soviets managed the best they could to look after the German soldiers. Open your eyes man.
You forgot to add slava ukraine at the end.
Calling you a disgusting human being would be an insult to human beings.
Russia destroyed 80% ..nearly…of the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front…about 3 million German prisoners taken and under 400,000 German and axis POW died in NKVD camps….and western allied took 3 million German prisoners and about a million of them died in U.S and French internment camps after the war…being classified as Disarmed Enemy Forces by Eisenhower….devoid of convention protection….slow deaths by starvation and illness. Other Losses by James Bacque details it and other authors refer to Patton’s dismissal from command as a direct result of him releasing German POW in his sector instead of internment and his subsequent assassination
Rheinwiesenlager anybody?
https://allthatsinteresting.com/rheinwiesenlager/3
This is just one of the heinous war crimes o the US
I think more German soldiers died after the war then during the war
The plan was to finish of Germany forever
They almost succeeded
Now is the endgame running finishing of Germany for good
My nation is done so be it
Please explain to everyone why Japanese Americans were not ‘detained’ in Hawaii, where presumably they would pose the largest threat. Oh that’s right, you can’t.
We’re Americans. We have rights. End of story.
I have erased Another Steve. He is History now.
Well that sure makes my comments look awkward now!
Good riddance. Nothing of value was lost.
Larry, I never bother authors. I don’t complain about people. You can call me a motherhumper and I will not respond. “Police work was good training for that”. But thank you for getting rid of that jackwagon. Your work is fabulous, and you have an awesome group of commentators who make me read every damn comment lol. And he was my deeply deep sigh. Thanks!!!
You’re not a bother. His initial comments on the site were fine. Then he descended into the personal attacks and juvenile behavior.
Sandy K,
Maybe the Russians have uncovered a spy ring consisting of US/Russia dual citizens – and the US is warning others to get out before they are swept up in Russian investigations.
Could very well be. When I was there in the 90’s, I was hired as a consultant for a short time by what I subsequently became pretty convinced was a CIA cutout. We were touring half-shut in metallurgical enterprises and actually welcomed. Wasn’t such a big deal back then, as western military types were cutting, or trying to, all sorts of commercial deals with Russian military types (remember the synthetic diamond JV in Fl, I think it was) on a regular basis but still, ….that’s all I’ll say.
Mh, would it? Would it not be a great thing for the propaganda to report the arrests of innocent civilians by the evil Russians?
Just thinking
Thank you sir for such astute analysis.
Wrong Larry! According to Forbes latest article Russia has lost 270,000 men and Ukraine, 90,000!🤣Amazing! The Russians have lost more 180,000 than the original 190,000 put in! The Ghost of Kiev must be working overtime!🤣
That’s good ol US military tradition. To make shure, kill every enemy at least twice.
Remember Vietnam. Statistically during the war they killed more NVC soldiers they ever had. Every tyranny ever went down winning. So, just buisiness as usual.
It’s the Brits leading the agitprop before the withdrawal: “Well, we gave them a bully good beating with our Ukrainian allies. Now it’s time to tend to the homefront.”
Brits are world leaders in hubristic humbug. Always were, always will be.
Mh, sounds like last time I heard of the Ukrainian government that they shot down 61 of the 71 Russian missiles that were shot at them. Then Russia reported that 90 missiles had hit their targets.
Very insighfull
“Ukraine, with the help of the West, is sleep walking into the slaughterhouse. Ukraine and NATO’s refusal to wake up and grasp the reality of what is happening is likely to lead to the destruction of both.”
A well thought out referral of the western mindset.
It likely will not happen fast enough to save hundreds of thousands.
Blessed be the scappers.
Borrowing parts of a comment I made on the “Hersh Speaks” thread…
For Milley, “the world” consists of an echo chamber containing the USA, its satraps and a few hangers-on. In that world, US/NATO’s success is undeniable.
The US now owns Europe outright, the Germans no longer run it, and the possibility of Russia’s joining have been dashed forever. The US’ “Global Hegemony” dreams may have been reduced to ruling supreme over the ashes of the West, but maybe that’s as good as it gets.
The 80% that comprise the rest of the world are background noise that might as well be coming from the interstellar ether.
Audacity and hypocrisy be damned !
Until there is accountability for these lowlifes nothing will change.
.
Larry’s list: “The list of small countries that the United States and NATO have attacked is long — Afghanistan, Iraq (twice), Syria, Libya, the Balkans, Panama, Dominican Republic, Vietnam”
The only conflict US leaders have been held to account for by its people is the last, Vietnam, fifty years ago.
It takes a lot for the inward looking US populace to take an interest in overseas affairs, viz. WW1 and WW2.
Ukraine ? Not very sexy, at least Vietnam had palm trees.
Not that many palm trees, plenty of bamboo, however. “Nui Cay Tre,” means bamboo mountain, not an idle moniker.
The appropriate movie reference is “Downfall”, Bruno Ganz was brilliant in his portrayal of der Fuehrer in the bunker. All the delusion from leaders of the “collective west” warrant a study of this film.
Yes,…..Milley wants General Steiner to attack……But there is no army, just a phantom chess piece on a map.
I can’t believe that these men don’t understand the truth of the situation. The head scratcher is what they hope to accomplish by lying through their teeth. Of course, they know that no matter what, there won’t be any consequences for them.
They also know that the vast majority of Americans don’t even know where is Ukraine, or give a crap about it. They’re too busy trying to find a dozen eggs that cost less that $10.
More $ for the MIC. That’s the whole plan in a nutshell, just like it’s always been.
As Major General Smedley Butler observed, “War is a Racket”.
….The head scratcher is what they hope to accomplish by lying through their teeth. Of course, they know that no matter what, there won’t be any consequences for them……
The War Party has been telling outrageous lies for at least 30 years, why would the War Party believe this time is different ?
Reflect on the Afghanistan debacle – did anyone responsible resign ? did anyone get fired ? Has anyone decided to retire to his farm and STFU ?
That’s the most illuminating tell we have
Like everything that’s covered by US media, the people being recorded are actors. Some pretends to be politicians, some pretend to be generals, etc. The things they say and their expressions are from the script for that particular segment. It’s all fiction. Usually the script writers simply reverse the state of the actual facts on the grounds, but at other times their think tanks provide imaginative new narratives that they simply pull out of their *ss. It’s theater, people, you know, aka make-believe. Don’t take any of it seriously.
Facts explained in unambiguous black and white terms. Can’t be more focussed than that! 😉
These two clowns know that they are spouting bullshit. My question is who do they think the intended audience is? It sure the hell isn’t me.
JK- I think Milley knows for sure, look at the bags under his eyes – they’re are getting bigger and bigger, I bet he’s drinking much later. He did try, remember his, ” Ukraine has gone as far as it could and now it’s time for settlement?” But Austin is a true useful idiot, I really think he’s slow witted, remember how he was blurting, ” we want to bleed Russia.” Between the two of them, Milley is smarter even if the bar set so low.
Possible another discourse is held behind closed doors , but what can be told to the general public anyway ? If they admit more openly they defeat, what will the rest of the World think about the so called “rules based international order” ?
None wants to walks in this guys shoes right now, line-walking while everyone is throwing things at you can only last so far … I’m resigned for people send to the meat-grinder while it last , I can only pray for them. It’s not much but it’s honest job 🙂
Larry, I’m not sure that “rules based international order” are any better than casino rules. Remember that these are like rules a mafia boss imposes on his domain, not compatible to UN ones that are agreed to by everyone for common benefit.
I’m sure the neocons have secret gatherings where they swear undying loyalty to ‘our thing’.
We’ll just wait until the Russians are at the gates of Kiev. Let’s see what they have to say at that point.
They will say: “If Steiner attacks, everything will be alright”.
https://youtu.be/xBWmkwaTQ0k?t=24
Inconceivable, as Larry cites Princess Bride. Here is the German film Stalingrad from 1993: https://youtu.be/VnJJQxZ0hu8
Why Kiev ? Why not Berlin ? The former Eastern Bloc will clear the way for them as liberators.
Berlin’s useless. What do you expect from someone who did not even say anything when his gas pipe was cut by someone he knows?
YouTube pushed a CNN video down my throat today. The CNN YouTube channel has over 17 million subscribers. Those subscribers would eat up what Milley says.
There is nothing “untied” about current Ukraine. There is Zelensky’s Nazi junta which subjugated any kind of dissent by brutal force, purges and cleanings. Why do you think in Mykolaev, the purgerers were going door to door with searchers, scrutinizing the residents’ cellphones, only a ding can’t see that if such en masse measures taken, it means the locals are against the regime and fight by all means available, at the expense of own life and safety. 70+% of Ukrainians elected this Judas Zelensky on his peace in Donbas platform. I pray Zelensky, Austin, Milley and the rest of the Politburo of Evil burn in Hell for their lies, crimes and for what they did to Ukraine.
I don’t think it is incompetence. I think CoG (Continuity of Government) has taken the real government underground and this explains the “incompetence” and rapid deterioration of the US military.
Note: The male Naval aviators were swapped out for female pilots who did a fly over at the Super Bowl 57 professional football entertainment show. Somebody explain to me how female pilots would possibly endure Russian missiles fired at them over Ukrainian territory if it ever came down to that?
It’s all Hollywood show.
Everything reminds me of the German propaganda Goebbels in 1945. The Russian was already at the Oder and the radios told about “miracle weapons” and “final victory”. Quite a few people in Germany believed that. But what can be behind all the propaganda today? Surely mankind can’t believe that Mordor would be finished so quickly? I am a little perplexed.
Who governs in reality? Surely not politicians and the military? Is it not the Rothschild’s, Rockefeller’s & Co? Are these powerful people as stupid as their politicians and other errand boys, or is their agenda failing because of incompetent degenerate personnel? I am at a loss.
I am very concerned that the use of biological and/or nuclear weapons may occur after all. Be it out of desperation or calculation. No matter.
I would like to put the question here to the experts. What is the probability of this?
Biological weapons are being used by Ukrainian solders against Russian solders. Redacted talked to Scott Ritter about it a couple of days ago. The video Redacted had shows dozens of weapons being put together by Ukrainian solders. There is a video of Russians dying from those weapons. I didn’t look for it but it is out there somewhere. The most disgusting part about the whole mess is no one is speaking out against their use- not the US, not NATO and not the (P)EE-YEW. Silence=permission. Those warmongers in WARshington district of corruption better hope Putin stays alive; I certainly do. I cannot believe the level of restraint that man has shown since 2014. The ones who would replace him would not hold back and have all of us “heading for the hills.”
“Ukraine and NATO’s refusal to wake up and grasp the reality of what is happening is likely to lead to the destruction of both”
There’s plenty to like right there.
Long winded, obfuscating, reeking with false confidence, undertones of doubt, rationalizations galore, even a sprinkling of feeble lie attempts as to who is winning and losses. Thats all I heard here. This didn’t sound like the strength, or problem solving you would here from someone who knows how to make a course correction. It didn’t sound like confidence at all. It sounded like someone making excuses for a massive miscalculation, but disguising their excuses under a veil of all the great things they are gonna do, in the near future. As though those efforts are not too late at all. Everybody in that room is just wishing. When a general “wishes” he has to cover it up with a big pile of stuff he’s doing or gonna do. Like long lists of this and that equipment followed by the word ‘etcetera’ of course at the end of the sentences just so everybody knows he’s really on top of it. And of course between each list of what he’ll do, he has to add “this is very very hard to do”. Deep down these guys know they are gonna lose this conventional battle. They know so much backfired, talking a generals talk now seems pathetic. Deep down they no longer are even in denial of the outcome, thats why you can see right through all their long winded talk at a press conference, its no longer genuine.
‘Ukraine and NATO’s refusal to wake up and grasp the reality of what is happening is likely to lead to the destruction of both”
There’s plenty to like right there.
the world definitely does not need another Steve.”you will lose when you argue with a fool,he will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.”
Steve, you need a new handle. How about “desperate for a response”?
What terrifies me is the prospect that trained U.S. and NATO personnel will man these systems and maintain them, bringing WWIII closer.
Would be interested in peoples’ thoughts in that regard.
It hurts my body seeing the uncalled by god lost of life on the Ukrainian (and Russian) side.
The young people dying in the mud hole for what? So, Soros and his ilk will make another billion. He’s 93-year old for god sake. ( Hope hell has a special place fro people like him )
Nobody gives a shit about the common people from that region. Most of them are generations of miners, tough hardworking men who are now dying in crap and mud for a coke user. They are miners not good in debating, but exceptional workers if you don’t make fun of them
As fast Russia gets this nightmare away, the better
Dante’s inferno – the ninth circle of hell includes those who have betrayed their country – they will join the panoply of US luminaries, including but not limited to, those passed such as Albright, the elite families, the psycho-sociopathic federal reserve bank owners as well as the multiplicity of prospective candidates. According to Dante, the Ninth Circle is not fire and brimstone. Rather, its inhabitants, including Satan, are frozen in a pool of ice thus rendering them impotent. The artistic renderings of the ninth circle illustrate its horrors.
Musing what might be the proportion of US traitors to the US Constitution to other countries’ traitors – countries who appear centuries earlier than ours on a global timeline, I realized that the proportion would require adjustments for global population growth; shifted borders; regime changes and more – so the inquiry became too complicated. Suffice to opine that Satan may have to enlarge the ninth circle’s borders to accommodate US traitors.
Thank you for your insights. Treason to a nation’s highest Christian ideals ought to be (must be) a damnable crime in Triune God’s sight. Liberalism is truly the ideology of the insane.
No need to enlarge hell, they will all fit in very well. Cause the rules of threedimensional space do not apply to the kinds of places like hell, I think. Also our human brains are not made to comprehend that. But that is philosophy off course.
Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.”
These guys are real Sararimen as Japanese way of saying salarymen. Receive extra bonuses too when they talk the way big bankers would like to hear. It’s good for their overall business scheme.
Since before Jesus times, (which BTW they were washed out ideas of Buddha who lived roughly 500 years before Jesus – but that is another story for another time) the ‘bankers’ learned to lend money to both side of the front line, because people with money are stupid.
The 100,000+ European castles with all the three knights each and ten peasants were the perfect pray for small dicks with a vision. So everybody got a loan, small or big.
Nothing changed since Jesus times. Just the size of the loans.
You can’t blame the lenders for the shinny knights stupidity, can you?
Now, our shinny knights have bet everything, their armor, sword, and the protected underwear, PLUS they bet your and you kids too (and their kids)
But don’t worry they’ ll get back (someone sold the a scheme that can’t fail)
This was in year 23, 1023, and is the same in 2023
This time will be real fun, because the bet is countries .
Larry,
I thank you for the article. My opinion of your position is that you are correct.
I only lasted through the 7:00 minute mark with Austin in their video. No need to see more. He is full of crap. Two further points on it. First is I don´t think he wrote one word of that speech. He is reading, not expressing. Number two is that he knows that it is complete bullshit and is having problems even saying what he is reading. He knows in short order that everything stated will show up as pure trash. I didn´t listen to Milley but, I am sure he knows it too. They are on the payroll and they just have to spin the wheel. Two clowns. God help us.
Regards,
John
I an stunned. I made a comment on John Helmer’s blog ‘Dances with the Bear’ regarding his interview with retired Ltn General Shankar of India and then John Helmer deleted my comment.
General Shankar gave in his interview a very low assessment of Russia’s military strategy and tactics in its war with Nato, lead by the US, on the territory of the Ukraine. John Helmer didn’t comment or pushed back at some in my opinion inflated statements.
When I searched about general Shankar, I found out that he has a very pro-, even extreme pro-Western view. For instance, he wrote an article in the Taipei Times that the UN should accept Taiwan as a UN member.
Remarkably, John Helmer deleted my comment about the view of general Shankar. Giving me the impression that John Helmer doesn’t like criticism.
Well, Milley got me at “asymmetric advantage”. What an oxymoron from what a moron…
Failure must be it’s own reward in DC/Washington. But the Ukrainian people will pay the bill with their lives and DC’s puppet Zelensky will be whisked away in the end.
As I wrote elsewhere, when you dispose of meritocracy, Kolmogorov kicks in and you get nepotism -> mediocracy -> idiocracy -> implosion. I’m really curious to see how the West will manage to avoid implosion, unless of course in order to avoid implosion, it causes a nuclear explosion.
It is an empire in absolut decline. Hence its best and brightest are a bunch of clowns.
Elon Musks dog could have done better than these two big clowns!🤣
From an Empire of Lies to an Empire of Ashes. That’s where this is headed. What an absolute clusterf**k from a government in mental absentia.
Larry, great analysis. I am old enough to say that there has never been so much lies and propaganda in the history of any conflict. I’m trying to imagine how unhappy Goebbels must have been that he didn’t have today’s MSM. To make matters more incredible, the users of Goebbels propaganda had nowhere to find out the truth, while today’s lies of the MSM and the deep state can be debunked with a few clicks on the internet. So why are they lying? I think the reason is the dumbing down of people around the world who accept whatever is served to them.
“So why are they lying? I think the reason is the dumbing down of people around the world who accept whatever is served to them.”
Agreed BILY. I don’t know the exact % of people that hunt for facts instead of passively absorbing the MSM, but it must be less than 20%. Even 10% in some demographics.
I just watched an interesting movie, ‘Margin Call’, about an investment bank in 2008 that realized far too late that they had crossed the line of acceptable risk and their books were filled with crappy MBS, prompting their decision to unload all of it on their unsuspecting Wall Street colleagues before they figured out that the crash was upon them. Sure, there were going to be a lot of people who once trusted them who would lose everything and hate them for it, but in the end, it’s just business.
This is the kind of decision Austin/Milley are making. These guys are selling what they know are worthless assets before everyone else figures out it’s all going down the toilet. The unsuspecting buyers – Ukraine and Europe – are the ones who’ll be left holding the bag.
~~~~~
John Tuld: “So, what you’re telling me is that the music is about to stop, and we’re going to be left holding the biggest bag of odorous excrement ever assembled in the history of capitalism.”
~~~~~
Peter Sullivan: “Look at these people. Wandering around with absolutely no idea what’s about to happen.”
Along these same lines, I think the below quote can be extended to apply to more than just NATO/Milley and more than just US foreign policy. The entirety of the government, and to a large extent the private sector given how it uses government to seek and extract rents, is corrupt. People like Simon Black over at sovereignman.com and Doug Casey of international man.com have been telling people to have a Plan B and/or to get out while they still can. They started saying these things years ago after seeing the steady erosion of liberties and confiscation of capital by the US and other western governments, but now with the very real potential for this conflict to escalate, their advice seems even more prescient.
“I wish that NATO would live up to the ideal of a “rules-based international order.” But the rules that Milley has in mind are house rules. It is a crooked casino.”
For the people here, if your circumstances are such that getting a 2nd passport and relocating to a relatively safer jurisdiction (e.g., the Global South) is feasible, you may want to start considering it before it is too late. History doesn’t necessarily repeat, but it does rhyme. Expect more capital controls in the future as our government seeks to effectively lock us in to keep us from leaving. Fish in a barrel
Shouldn’t experts who purposely lie to their own country regarding their area of expertise, in order to cover up facts in the interests of some people who are making a lot of money, be tried for treason? They swore an oath to uphold the constitution, and not for upholding some private interests. I believe in China, Iran or North Korea, they will be sent to the firing squad but in USA such people receive applause and high positions.
I suspect the true purpose of those speeches was for the Russian soldiers in the Ukraine to laugh themselves to death.
There is nothing to add …
hELP!!!!!
I could not go past Ratheon LLoyd’s opening remark ‘its been a year since Russia invaded its peaceful neighbour…’
Has the world lost its mind. Does everyone not know what Ukraine have been up to since 2014? No they don’t!
We are doomed by the marriage of the presstitutes and the politicians.
These two automatons along with others like McChrystal are from the non Vietnam 1970’s era trained dope smoking military and it shows. The leftward tilt of the service academies and training staff began in that time period and continues today. Their post modern goal of military implosion has been met.
Contrast these loser wannabes with the Vietnam era combat vets who learned the hard way how many died due to high level incompetence such as this. At least there was a manufacturing base back then, now all gone since most favored nation status for China was passed by scum leaving power after 40 years in summer of 1994.
The draining of the strategic petroleum reserves while shutting down oil gas production cannot be overlooked in the current state of military affairs.
The ukes azov were the snipers at maiden and instigators on Jan 6 they and the evil vindman twins, neuland, and all other embedded ukes in us govt share in the responsibility for this. Rus Wagner are nat soc so there are zero good guys in this whole swirling toilet.
Just to put some proper context for Ukrainians claims of Russian KIA’s:
In 1943, the German Army and the Red Army were reasonable evenly matched. The Soviets had recovered from their disastrous start, were well equipped and trained, and their officers had gained experience. The Germans were being ground down, had lost the initiative, but were still well trained and well equipped, fully capable of mobile and offensive warfare, e.g., Kursk.
In 1943, out of an average strength of 6,389,200 soldiers, the Red Army lost 1,568,708 killed in combat plus 300,756 who died of wounds for a total of 1,869,464 killed in 1943.
This is a rate of 24.38 killed per 1,000 soldiers per month, 2.438% killed per month.
(1,869,464/12)/(6,389) = 24.38
Ukraine has claimed 139,770 Russian KIA (liquidated) to 15 Feb.
The size of the Russian Forces assigned directly and in support of the Ukrainian war is open to question, but it is certainly NOT the entirety of the Russian forces who maintain operational responsibilities unrelated to the war in the Far East, Siberia, and North West.
If we say 40% of the 1,000,000 Forces as of Feb 22 were engaged directly, or indirectly in support of the operation at the start, since then, 300,000 mobilised reservists and 100,000 volunteers bring the total to 800,000. From this I deduct (arbitrarily) 100,000 used to backfill positions required to support non-Ukraine war activities.
This then gives a total force of 700,000 including logistical support, training, etc.
The average over the year would be 524,038
Using this total to calc the KIA rate:
(139,770/11.5)/(524) = 23.19
Thus, the Ukrainians are claiming to be inflicting casualties on Russian forces at a rate comparable to Germany in 1943, despite the disparities in equipment, training, the static nature of the war, relative levels of ammunition expenditure, yada, yada, yada..
But it gets more exciting.
Ukr. claims of Russian KIAs are exponentially increasing at a rate of over 20% per month.
Their clains for January and February to date represent rates of 30.77 and 32.72 respectively, considerable exceeding Germany’s yearly average in 1943.
Given this context, the reader is better able to assess the credibility of Ukrainian claims.
It is certain someone in the Pentagon and the UK War Office (or whatever it’s called now) is fully aware of and has reported this context.
General Valuzchny (sp?) of Ukraine told the US secretary of defense that the Ukie army had 257,000 men killed when they met.
It’s Zaluzhny, with the “illegal” letter Z at the start, just like Zelensky. 🙂
Thanks, brain fart on my end!
Larry, thank you for a good honest comprehensive article! The impression from the performance of Austin / Millie is that they are not even managers, but simply extras of a low level, reading someone else’s text from a piece of paper. Austin, by the way, is a textured man, he really could act in Hollywood and play tough military men. He plays
but not in Hollywood )).
In my opinion, the main planetary risk now lies in the fact that Britain is manipulating the US and the EU by pitting them against China and Russia in order to weaken the competitive qualities of the rest and thereby strengthen itself. Great Britain creates conflict situations and manages conflicts of interests of other countries.
That’s why I think the NorthStream explosion –
the work of the Britons (perhaps with the help of the Poles). Their handwriting, their interests. It has always been so. So it will be. This is an old political game. They create wars by holed up on their island and then reap the rewards of other people’s blood and suffering.
I saw a few minutes of both
Couldn’t listen any longer to these delusional hipocrits as the painlevel was to high
I have no idea how this all will end but I don’t have a feeling that it will end good
The only way to stop the war is if the American people take out the Neocons by force and put them to trial and hang them all
Because If this war is over these same Neocons will bring us the next war and after that another one
And it will go on forever
Like the last 70 years
I guess we need to get used to this evil and live with it
If not defeated, evil will always consume itself.
But it will have destroyed a lot of good people before that happens.
At the end, there is be a do-over, a restart.
Just make sure (as best as you can) that this particular kind of evil never repeats.
What exactly do Western elite feed their people with that produced such hideously-uninformed, ignorant, zombified, and sheepish citizens?
What happened to make people accept barefaced palpable lies?
Whenever I encounter Westerners, most of them strike me like people who exist in a parallel universe!
Let’s not even consider what goes for journalism in the Collective West!
We’re not to Idi Admin’s diet of baby meat yet; nor the cannibal warlords’ of Liberia.
Imagine hordes of crazy zombies hacking a million neighbors to death with machetes.
At least they did the deed themselves. American Reich prefers to sit in the safe back and bomb people to the stone age, including millions.
Thank God African warlords don’t have the technology we do.
That’s some interesting pretzel logic you use to keep hating on America.
You are so right, Femi! Even family and friends of moderately high intelligence here in the US have only a superficial (and generally false) understanding of reality. They get their facts from the US government-affiliated media and they believe it all because any opposing viewpoint is deemed conspiracy theory. It’s bad, and it will get worse as artificial intelligence and deep fake videos proliferate. The Deep State runs US foreign policy, manipulating opinion to get the election results they want. The voting public is really only allowed to weigh in on minutiae like how much funding will be allocated to filling potholes.
You ask the right question.
I do not have an answer, sadly. But I noticed something. Many of my fellow human beings are taking their meal in the evening while watchin the news.
I consider this to be more than a bad habit. I ask myself: what is going on in their brains? They literally watch the bad news, probably pictures of suffering people, of violence and war. And they can eat while doing that? How emphatic can a person be, that does not even notice what this behavior does with him or her?
I just can’t grasp it.

Jeffrey D. Sachs: What Ukraine Needs to Learn from Afghanistan
The greatest enemy of economic development is war. If the world slips further into global conflict, our economic hopes and our very survival could go up in flames. The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists just moved the hands of the Doomsday Clock to a mere 90 seconds to midnight.
The world’s biggest economic loser in 2022 was Ukraine, where the economy collapsed by 35 percent according to the International Monetary Fund. The war in Ukraine could end soon, and economic recovery could begin, but this depends on Ukraine understanding its predicament as victim of a US-Russia proxy war that broke out in 2014.
The US has been heavily arming and funding Ukraine since 2014 with the goal of expanding NATO and weakening Russia. America’s proxy wars typically rage for years and even decades, leaving battleground countries like Ukraine in rubble.
Unless the proxy war ends soon, Ukraine faces a dire future. Ukraine needs to learn from the horrible experience of Afghanistan to avoid becoming a long-term disaster.

I suspect much of the “cannon fodder” being sent to the front lines are the “wrong” kinds of Ukrainians, many of whom would rather be fighting for Russia.
The Banderites are behind the lines shooting those who try to save themselves.
This is NATO colluding in ethnic cleansing. Shameful!
