History does not repeat exactly. The current set-up pits Russia against most of Europe (except Serbia and Hungary) and the United States. If the tensions along the border of Serbia and Kosovo erupt into a shooting war, it will reinforce Moscow’s belief that the West is hell bent on destroying Russia and will make negotiations for peace impossible.
I was interviewed last week by Alex Pavic, a Serb, and our exchange has been broadcast on two separate shows in Serbia. Here is the first (it starts at the 1:26:49 mark):
Here’s the rest of the interview, which aired December 25 in Serbia. It starts at the 2:35:53 mark.
I don’t know about you, but I wake each day with a sick pit in my stomach. There are no adults leading the Western governments who have labored under the delusion that they have Russia cornered and reduce it to a pauper. I believe we are witnessing the end of Pax Americana. Americans are pretty parochial and certainly do not see themselves as an imperial power intent on ruling the world. But the political class that infests Washington, DC certainly believes it has the sole right to impose its will on the world. The wake up call that will come with the collapse of Pax Americana will shake the United States to its core and a new world order will emerge. I hope it does not come from a massive bed of smoldering embers.
With what troops? We cried after 4K in Iraq. Imagine now. In a recession they cant even fill billets let alone when dying starts. I don’t worry about this so much. Mostly guys are in for GI bill and jobs program it’s quite another thing to die for this neoliberal woke country.
You make the error of relying on facts Steve. Just read this on the BBC website:
“ Ben Hodges, former commanding general, United States Army Europe
It’s too early to plan a victory parade in Kyiv but all the momentum is with Ukraine now and there is no doubt in my mind that they will win this war, probably in 2023.”
Does he really believe this? I wonder what facts these people are using to derive these conclusions. If he is using the same facts that Larry is, then he must be either frighteningly delusional or wilfully misleading us (because the combatants both know the truth). In either case, is this a positive indicator of fitness for office?
Patrick Armstrong says
Hodges was the guy behind this.
“”This reality was on display – for those who could see – in the “Dragoon Ride” of 2015. Intended “to assure those allies that live closest to the Bear that we are here“, it was a parade of light armoured vehicles armed with heavy machine guns. Although breathlessly covered in the US media (“Show the world some of the firepower the United States and its NATO partners have in Eastern Europe“), it is unlikely that any watcher who had served in a Warsaw Pact army was impressed by what was in effect a couple of dozen BTR-50s. And neither was the US Army when it thought about it: a rush program was put into effect to give the vehicles a bigger weapon. The first one was delivered a year later. So now the US Army has a few lightly armoured vehicles with cannons. Something like the Soviet BTR-80 of the 1980s. Meanwhile, the Russians have the Bumerang-BM turret. Years of kicking in doors and patrolling roads hoping there are no IEDs are poor preparation for a real war.”
Not as tightly connected as he might be.
Rob Rhodes says
Glad to find you here Mr Armstrong, I hope we will find you back at RO soon, I check regularly!
They have learnt from that. American involvement is now covert and coffins are not greeted and numbers of Americans dying in Ukraine are not reported. If Americans go in in larger numbers it will be as NATO troops with NATO casualties.

America is the biggest experiment in cuckoldry I have ever seen. There is no other way to explain it other than the constant dumbing down of children and young adults. This happened via public school and universities over a long time period; coupled with a constant mind numbing of mainstream media and Hollywood movies…including porn. American addiction to drugs by communists flooding the US through porous border give us no will to ever take this country back. There will be no rebellion unless a bunch of old ass Gen X and older think they can pull it off. I doubt that though.
We would get our ass handed to us in a conventional war. The scum in Washington D.C. are pulling their last hail Mary and then getting the hell out of here before the communist takeover. This is what Brazil is about if you have been watching. The army their ARE NOT going to do shit! That country is gone and Jair Bolsonaro will be in jail soon. The bastards will be turning their guns on us next.
Now back to Russia…..they better kick ass and soon or else their timing will become their enemy.

You are very welcome! I served my country. Solutions please? My family and friends have worked hard to try and turn this thing around for most of my adult life and have raised our children contrarians. So, if you can offer up what we need please elaborate, otherwise go away. We don’t need your type.
Also, we lost two family members to drugs (fetanyl) and have done my research of what is happening and why it is coming in here. If you are too lazy to do your research STFU and don’t comment on what you don’t know.
What do you even mean “I served my country”? What, you invaded Iraq or something? Some service.
This virtue signalling “served my country”, and the nauseating “Thank you for your service” are stomach churning, self-righteous, wanks.
As CC says, how is invading Iraq, or Afghanistan, or Grenada (LOL) serving anything other than big oil/big MIC/big finance?
A “career” in the military is for losers that can’t get real jobs, they know it but hide behind the “valour” of “serving” country.
It is all bullshit.

UA is a fked up society, run by fked up ppl, & they’re committing crimes against humanity, but we’re not going to pull support for them cuz this war isn’t about them, it’s about “global norms”, which makes it a just war. According to jingofried lunatics like Milburn.
Anybody know what this ‘global norm’ stuff is? I punched it into my search engine and it sent back a bunch of chuckling emojis.
bordering on madness says
If the UA is committing crimes against humanity now, it stands to reason that they were committing crimes against humanity ever since 2014, which were actually documented in copious ‘white papers’ the RF collected and published.
So, if these ‘crimes against humanity’ were being committed by the UA since 2014, then these ‘global norms’ this drunken sot speaks of have just justified Russia’s SMO as an R2P intervention.
I’m surprised this Milburn character can walk and chew gum at the same time, drunk or sober. Where do these people come from?
HELMHOLTZ SMITH says
I dunno. If you watch the whole video he says he still thinks it’s a good cause because guys like Putin can’t just be allowed to get away with it.
I propose a hypothesis. At the beginning, Milburn believed 1) Ukraine was not routinely committing atrocities and was not a fucked up place and 2) that helping Ukraine fight off Putin was a just cause.
He’s starting to doubt, in other words, but he hasn’t fully worked it out yet. We may be seeing him in the middle of the thought process.

They are all in on the Ukraine project to regime change Putin and carve up Russia and eventually steal her gas, oil, precious metals resources. We even find out that the crazy withdrawal and billions in equipment abandonment was all because of the big conflict instigation with Russia in Ukraine.
From the destabilizing 1999/2000 Chechen conflict to the to the 2004/2005 Orange Revolution 2008 Georgian uprising to the 2013/2014 Maidan Revolution with the coup to remove democratically-elected Yanukovich with oligarch Poroshenko to Poroshenko’s replacement with Zelensky in 2019 by Ukrainian oligarch (and Israeli citizen) Igor Kolomoisky, who owns Ukraine’s largest bank and 70% of Ukraine’s media who saw to it that Zelensky would be Ukraine’s president with Volodymyr Groysman as his prime minister.

Does anybody remember when Tucker had Bobulinski on his show BEFORE the 2020 election? This guy personally met Joe Biden and Hunter at some swank Beverly Hills bar (The Peninsula?) and discussed business dealings in China, Ukraine etc. He had emails and texts and the FBI had had Hunter’s laptop for over a year. They knew the contents were authentic, yet the 17 intelligence agency heads announced that the laptop looked like classic “Russian dis-information”. They all lied in order to protect Biden against Trump.
And due to the burying of the NY Post story on the laptop, Biden apparently “won” the election. The latest polling is that 20% of the electorate would have changed their votes away from Biden to Trump had the MSM and the intelligence agencies told the truth.
Now it has been revealed by Musk/Taibbi that the FBI/CIA was all over Twitter and Facebook keeping truths from the American people.
Musk has labeled Twitter “a crime scene”!
Yet here we are. Practically no public reaction of outrage from the American public. We just keep our noses in our phones, take the “safe and effective” jabs and apparently are keeping up the classic American mantra of “who knows?, who cares?, why bother?”.
The USS Liberty was attacked by Israel as all the eyewitness survivors have stated. Tucker tells us a reliable CIA source told him the CIA had a hand in assassinating JFK. Many books/videos have been produced detailing how the Warren Commission was a lie. RFK, MLK, Malcolm X. Does anybody still believe the 9/11 story of 19 Arabs with box cutters?! An event which spawned the “Global War on Terror”? And now the US is sending $100 billion in weapons and cash to the most corrupt country in Europe with NO accounting with these weapons being sold on the black market to God only knows which terrorists? Our southern border wide open with thousands of “got aways” coming through every day! Could any be terrorists or drug dealers? And a potential global nuclear war?!
Yet we see no uprising by the American public? The Democrats slink through the midterms with nary a backlash?
I see the American public as being under some strange hypnotic spell. And personally I think, if tonight on every news channel and all over the internet and in the NYT and WaPo, the TRUTH of the vile corruption of our government were to be spelled out in detail, the spell would still not be broken.
Those of us who have done all the hard research digging for truth over the years, would just shake our heads knowing that even major truth revelations would not be enough to “wake up” the public.
There must be something very soothing and pacifying from all the lies.
How do we break the spell everyone appears to be under?
Doug Lewis says
Starvation. Starvation will certainly wake US up. If what I have researched comes to past, panic will set in quickly. Surprising most who have depended upon the MSM and their government to tell the truth. Puts a pit feeling in your stomach.

As far as I have been able to figure out from the bill, I think Zelensky and friends are getting something like $13B. The rest is going to US defense contractors, government bureaucrats, and to refill the CIAs depleted multi billion dollar slush fund. (No way to tell how much of that slush fund is ending up with Z and friends in addition to the open $13B allocation)
I’m not so sure that the Afghanistan withdrawal was a plan to help support Ukraine. Sounds plausible after the fact, but I’d be more convinced if they had transferred the equipment to Kiev via Poland instead of wasting it. At another time I’d have guessed it was wasted so it could be re-ordered to increase profits, but the MIC currently has more orders than it can fill.

There is something I don’t understand, maybe a more enlighted spirit can help: Why are the Russians still doing business with the Americans (Uranium) or the Dutch (it seems that they have more than 100 exceptions for the sanctions to still continuing business with the Russians) and other Western countries? It is now obious that it is a ideological and irrational war and that victory for the West is reached when Putin, Lavrov or Shoigu are hanging from a lantern post. Why dealing with people who will kill you? That makes no sense. It looks like weakness to me.

Well, looks can be deceiving. You don’t fight dumb/crazy people by getting on their level, because they will beat you with experience. You just keep calm and carry on.
Do you know that pipelines trough Ukraine have been working all this time? Zelensky have been getting transit fees from Putin, while acting like he does. Why? Because money. Ukraine never declared war on Russia, because that would mean that they could no longer get that sweet cash. He wants other countries to declare war, though.
Mature leaders run countries on calculations, not emotions. Just look at Erdogan and Orban. Turks and Hungarians never liked Russians, quite the contrary. In spite of that, their leaders are capable of doing basic math, and buying chep oil and gas. Poles are doing the opposite.
Being the “adult in the room” is the essence of Russian foreign policy, and is making some US allies changing sides. I don’t think Saudi Arabia would change side to one that looks weaker to them.
“Why are the Russians still doing business with the Americans (Uranium) or the Dutch (it seems that they have more than 100 exceptions for the sanctions to still continuing business with the Russians) and other Western countries?”
Simple, in ancient Japan there was the notion of misunderstandings in which people died, but since it wasn’t war the opposing sides would still be scrupulously polite and correct with each other officially. They didn’t necessarily want total war because neither side had absolute dominance, so misunderstandings happened. Hence Ukraine is just a terrible misunderstanding, soldiers will die but its the job of soldiers to die. But since its not total warfare, normal trade and relations can continue, meanwhile both sides will try and jockey for advantage with the various uncommitted parties out there, as well as trying to disrupt relations between the enemy and its allies while trying to cultivate more allies at the same time.
Where Russia differs from ancient Japan is that ancient Japanese considered war to be a normal part of human existence and so if once side had the advantage that side would launch an all out all or nothing attack on the other side. The terrible misunderstandings were just if the opposing sides were balanced, and continued up until one side was able to gain a decisive advantage at which point total war broke out. Since just before 2020, some say earlier, Russia has had an outright advantage in both nuclear and conventional war (land) but is not using that advantage, preferring the misunderstandings game.
You will find that Russian defence minister Shoigu is an ardent admirer of ancient Japan, and has a large collection of ancient samurai swords, amongst other eastern bladed weaponry.

You seem to be confused — business here is just business.
1. If they don’t sell to the Americans, someone else will just act as a proxy and sell to the Americans afterwards (this is also why sanctions are bs).
2. Russia in exchange for this trade can receive other benefits/commodities/resources/etc that it may need instead (look up comparative advantage).
3. Trade, by definition, is a win-win scenario when all sides voluntarily agree to an exchange (another reason why sanctions are bs — two even innocent individuals are prohibited from pursuing economic partnership).

I believe Zelensky already banished Kolomoisky from Ukraine and stole from him what Kolomoisky stole before him, and it was a lot.
….and I’m sure they both hold serious kompromat over the Biden’s, so they’re home free, on that front anyway. They’ll have to spend the rest of their lives like Gordon Liddey did, with a shiv under his prison pillow but them’s the cards they played.
I’m “okay” by now with idiots on top spewing garbage, they’re bought and that’s who they are. I’m most shocked when regular Americans say garbage like, ” you can’t negotiate with a man without a soul”. Really? Last time I checked Bible, every human has a soul, including Putin. To my educated American friends I said, to set their minds at ease, ” If someone attacks America ( China, Russia, etc.), I’ll be fighting for America, I’m an American citizen, it’s home to me, but I reserve the right to tell the truth about the BS Americans are fed about Russia and St. Ukraine and brainwashed into WWIII!
Do psychopaths have souls??
As for the bible: 1. consider the parable of the tares and the wheat. 2. What of those possessed by demons? Are not their souls suborned by the demon(s)? So I submit these categories exist. Also, Jesus does not seem very active in casting demons out these days, though I’d be happy to be corrected on this..
That said, I see no evidence V. V. Putin is in one of these categories, if anything the opposite; and, at this point, I’m happy to give him the benefit of any doubt.
I am also American, and a veteran, and despite my age and dislike of conflict in general, (not to mention conflicts of choice) I will defend if America is attacked (to the extent I am still able).
IMHO, and that of Fr. Jose Antonio Fortea, Demons have free will and thus a soul. They do not have a body.
Please we do not need to spread MSM and Hollywood lies about demons, who see God as the oppressor of their freedom.

The real question is how to defend America against the actual enemy, the DC swamp, without the country devolving into civil war. I say, guard our borders and leave the world to its own devices other than diplomatic negotiations regarding the international commons (space, the oceans, etc.).

The US won’t exist as a country after its empire collapsed. Their hegemony relies largely on the USD-based financial system that maintains the lavish spending on your military. Once the USD gets collapsed, you won’t have anything to fulfill the real needs of your population and they will riot, leading to a civil war and secession.
Take a look at the ECB interest rates and their balance sheet too. The FED is doing a number on the offshore capital markets and that is causing real problems in the EU because of their decade’s long addition to zero interest financing. The catastrophic structing of the EU’s energy systems is exacerbating the de-industrialization of the member states and the destruction of what remains of the ‘middle classes’ due to the sanctions Brussels imposed on the Russian Federation. (UK/PL/UA destruction of Nord stream 2 pipelines at least keep the Germans from defecting from the sanction-based self-destruction, for now)
BTW the civil war that the euros keep promoting always seems, like the walls closing in on your favorite president, just once more crisis away.

The list of additional trouble against Russia is depleted. Taiwan, Iran and finally Kosovo. It doesn’t look as if this really helped the West. It just looks optically as if the West still can stir up revolts, but it will not be successful as the Arab spring Revolution in Egypt.
When will the Russians have weakened the Ukraine so much that the killing will stop? Any ideas? Will it be soon?
To answer the million dollar question”when will Russia”, Now before I get started, let me say this is my own take on Russia finally kicking Ukraines Arse, which should be when the ground finally freezes over and the tanks can roll in. Right now Putins forces are hammering the Electric/Water and other main stays that keep things going in Ukraine, he will keep hammering them until the ground is frozen and 90 percent of Ukraine , that isn’t occupied by Russia is weakened, then he will roll in the big armor and completely flatten the rest of the Ukrainian forces, then the ball will be in our illegitimate governments hands and lets hope and pray they don’t resort to the Nuclear option, anybodies guess on that, especially when these idiots are backed into a corner and the wheels are coming off the bus.
I honestly don’t see a reason for an offensive since Ukrainians need to throw as troops into fire to please western masters.
Gets them out in the open instead of garrisoning in schools and hospitals in cities.
Kill rates are about 10-1 and Ukrainian will run out of men way before Russian.
Resolution helps West more. Trade, they need, can normalize.
Honestly I bet Putin wishes this takes 10 years from a pure maths standpoint. EU will be back in caves. No men left of Ukraine and whole world will be leaning Eurasian.

The issue here is that both sides seem content to uphold a long-running military quagmire:
1) US/NATO politicians get a convenient long-running money laundry disguised as the “Ukraine war effort” with all kinds of kickbacks included as well
2) Russia gets to take things slowly in Ukraine to “buy itself even more time” for all of its general BRICS/other/etc geopolitical/military/economic ambitions (instead of having to throw its army against the largest fully-fledged land/air/sea incursion that NATO and all its troops/forces everywhere in the world can possibly muster)….

As for how long the conflict may last, the ball is in the court of the regime and Washington, which stands behind it. They can stop this meaningless resistance at any moment. The enemy is well aware of our proposals concerning demilitarisation and denazification of the territories controlled by the regime and elimination of threats to Russia’s security coming from these territories, including our new territories ‒ the DPR, LPR, and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. There is not much left to be done. All they need to do is fulfil these proposals of their own volition. Otherwise, the issue will be resolved by the Russian Army.
Russia is hitting the smaller transformers that power the rail network among many other things. They could take out the entire Ukraine grid by hitting the larger transformers any time they choose and it would take fewer missiles to do so. The larger transformers are hard to source (ie. spares are few), they take significant time to manufacture, and are heavy and difficult to transport. So if/when they do this the ENTIRE Ukraine grid will be down for at least as long as they want it down.. I think the reason they haven’t done this is that would be difficult even for THEM to fix after a Ukraine surrender.
Minor corrections; Ali’s rope-a-dope strategy was implemented against Foreman in Zaire, and it was Erich von Manstein who led the relief efforts of Stalingrad, not Walter Model.
The Column of Infamy, the one the Russians plopped so rudely into place to the west of Kiev in the beginning of the war, was a biggun, wasn’t it? Lmao … I remember Nancy Pelosi trying to make her position clear to the media that yes, she would love to bomb the hell out of it, but she had been informed by some folks in the Pentagon that the Russians have these thingy dingies that come up from the ground that can do terrible things to our bombers.
Then she made some vague -and drunken? – hand gestures, in which one hand intersected the other above her head.
Third in line to the Presidency at the time, old Nancy.
Larry, you are exactly correct sir, if one goes back and looks at what the Russians did in the first three or four weeks of this war, with specific attention being paid to the massive and UNTOUCHED Column of Mystery that appeared for a time, and then disappeared, there is only one conclusion to be drawn, if or when the Russians decide to launch offensives with the intent on winning a war in Ukraine, they will smash the hell of the place.
What became of the Column of Nebulous Intentions is a question I’ve been asking from the moment it withdrew – or was beaten back ignominiously, depending on viewpoint – to its starting positions?
I think it is still up there in the “north” somewhere, just waiting for the green light to make a reappearance, along with several other brother columns of similar strengths and lengths.
I am on record (! ;–), that nobody will bother studying the Column that Did Nothing except for a few nerdy quartermasters, but the operations that spiderwebbed their way the to eastern suburbs of Kiev, after surrounding, holding in place, and then bypassing forces in Karkov, Sumy, and Chernihiv, will be studied till the end of time.
Those weren’t BTGs flying down all those roadways as they headed toward Kiev, mostly it was just motorized companies racing pell mell through enemy territory, isolated, without air cover, without anything but a tank or two and a dozen or so armored vehicles, trying to reach objectives that were far beyond their logistical tether.
Never seen anything like it. Even Ghengis, the master of dividing his forces in the face of a superior enemy, would ever consider subdividing his armies into little bits and pieces, and then order them all to zip past the enemy and meet him at the objective.
But that’s what those stodgy and conservative Rooskies did.
The Russian’s can only fight as Montgomery did, slow and methodical?
Bullshit. After all, who invented modern, combined arms blitzgreig warfare? The Soviets did, in the late 1920s. They called it Deep Battle, and after some fits and starts against their students in the beginning, they rather quickly, reasserted their mastery.

From what I have read those early units primarily went to areas that had US/Ukraine biolabs. That is how Russia was able to garner information on the labs in such detail. See their presentations to the UN for details, the presentations are also on the Russian govt website.
I wonder if a bioweapon release into Russia may have been part of the US/Ukraine plan in the early days along with the Ukraine troop buildup along the Donbas border. Which is why the rush to these lab locations.
I wonder if a bioweapon release into Russia may have been part of the US/Ukraine plan in the early days along with the Ukraine troop buildup along the Donbas border. Which is why the rush to these lab locations.
Knowing the western Ukrainians, I wouldn’t doubt it for a minute. Knowing the neocons, maybe even less.
You are not far from the truth, I think.
In the first months of the war, the most important tasks were solved: the blocking of biological laboratories and the Zaporozhye NPP, the disabling of most of the air defense and the violation of the general anti-air defense system of Ukraine, the destruction of a critical part of weapons located on the territory of Ukraine until February 24, as well as ammunition and fuel depots.
There was no such task to occupy the cities.
If the NATO countries had not intervened, everything would have been over by the beginning of summer.
Here, for example, are the statistics of the destruction of weapons of Ukraine:
on May 1, 2022, it was destroyed:
146 aircraft, 112 helicopters, 690 UAVs, 285 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2760 tanks and armored vehicles, 316 multiple rocket launchers, 1246 artillery and mortar guns, 2578 military vehicles;
as of December 29, 2022:
354 aircraft, 194 helicopters, 2741 UAVs, 399 anti-aircraft missile systems, tanks and armored vehicles 7296, 953 multiple rocket launchers, 3742 artillery and mortar guns, 7810 military vehicles.

Instead of reversing the mistakes of globalization where they divested of the material economy in favour of the FIRE economy, here they are turning it to a Spinal Tap 11 and neglecting what they consider to be an obsolete physical fight with Russia. Instead they are moving toward biological warfare, cyber warfare and psychological warfare (and continuing to fund paramilitaries) and only putting up a token effort at physical warfare. They clearly believe after the Russians reach high water with physical force, they will retaliate with their weapons that pass through the Russian front lines. Russia is wise not to stumble into any biological booby traps set by the numerous labs run by the US there.
‘I continue to urge people to stop assuming the ones at the top are stupid. Once you see they are cruel and have zero concern for the pain they cause, you can see what they are up to.”
Absolutely – Cruel, yes, to an unbelievable degree. But stupid, no.
That depends on who “the ones at the top” actually are. The ones that you can see are not at the top; and in two well-known cases the real “ones at the top” have managed to place an actor and a drama teacher.
The real “ones at the top” have been writing the scripts for centuries, if not millennia; I don’t think they are going to go public any time soon.

I think the forward thinkers in the US appartus may have already had this in mind when they insisted the Serb-majority Mitrovica remain within Kosovo and lulled the Serbs into acquiescence with the bogus UNSC Res 1244, much as they did with Res 2202 and Minsk II.
The empire of lies and all their lapdogs are losing this war, the question is whether they are insane enough to go nuclear, that might be the end of the USSA .
I believe we are witnessing the end of Pax Americana.
Was there ever really a ‘Pax Americana’?
What we may be seeing is in actuality a chameleon’s inadvertent transition from a Pax American to a Pox Americana. History will judge.

Maybe no “wars” in the 30ies however the criminal US military certainly wasn’t sitting around:

1932 El Salvador Naval forces intervene.
1933 Cuba Naval forces deployed.

And most probably other illegal acts we don’t know of.

After that servile display of veneration of Zelenskyy by the US Congress, the Russians must know that there will be no negotiations with America.
The only outcome of the war in the Ukraine is one party will dictate terms of surrender to the other.
That display was especially galling in light of the fact that Zelensky was elected in 2019 on a platform fo implementing Minsk II and starting negotiations with Russia with a mandate of 70% of the popular vote.

The pentagon still seems to hold enough sanity to stop Brandon pushing the button(well i hope so if they don’t then it doesn’t really matter what we say here). Assuming that wont happen the solidity of Russia and China, combined with trying to do deals in the global south where everyone makes money stops the world from descending into the stone age. USA is a continent wide country with a host of natural wealth they’ll be back in 10-20 years hopefully having learnt their lesson and playing nice. Europe well good luck with that. Best hope would be a Russian Marshall plan(What has to happen for the Russians to do that? Do they want a failed state like that on their borders?). Otherwise rampant economic/social collapse.
Yes, very likely, and after amassing about 30,000 troops in Central and East Europe by late october (lets recall 101st Airborne Division)and the bootlickers poles also doing the same, chances are very high, and also considering Zelensky, the great cocaine men last visit to the US (preparing his great escape? rumour has it he went to confirm his American citizenship, bank account and property in Florida) and the second attack on Engels airfield (another provocation but also in my opinion another Decapitation Strike Test), all of them are symptoms that the first war is about to be over, then comes the next one: direct confrontation russian vs nato forces. Its just a matter of when.
At some point Russia will have to strike back directly to the US or Mr. Putin will be in trouble.

Aktuelnosti are probably the only TV show in Europe on national frequency that shows realistic picture of what is happening in the Ukraine and background (BRICS, fall of petro-dollar, rise of multipolar world). They have tree commentators every night, like generals, people who escaped from Nazi Ukraine in 2014, economists, political analysts, historians etc. Like you participated they have short reports from journalist reporting live from Donbas, people are reporting about devastating sanctions from all over Europe. It is very, very popular show on territory of all ex-Yugoslavia.

The USA is a beautiful country and millions of very nice people are guaranteed to live in it. But my experience is that we in the world are fed up with its imperial ambitions. Let’s take culture as an example. In Germany, I no longer turn on a car radio or TV. It is unbearable. I love various music from the USA. But it’s not normal that the German listens 24 hours almost only to English. There are so many good artists who sing in our mother tongue. On TV, US Americans incessantly save mankind from evil. The evil is always the Arab, the Russian and the Chinese. Every shit that exists here comes from the USA. I can give only a few examples. The list is very long. Woke, Chancel Culture, LGBTQ+ and the mutilation of my language. Halloween is not a German tradition and culture. Friday for Future and “the last generation”. American Football. …… Privatization of the most sensitive things in society. For example, nursing homes for the elderly, hospitals, waterworks, etc. The consequences for the people are often cruel. …….
And always war!!!
European hustlers have been domesticated to perfection since 1945. I think I am somewhat misunderstood. We speak abroad in a shortened way of the “Yanks” or of the “USA”. But we do not mean the us-American people. We mean the us-American oligarchy or the US empire. It is a linguistic abbreviation that can be misunderstood.
This empire sets the rules in the world and every country and nation must follow those rules or be destroyed. I don’t think I need to enumerate the long list of the empire’s crimes. This empire takes advantage of national accomplices. For this purpose it distributes privileges to them.
What we are witnessing now is the final struggle against the empire. Never in the history of mankind was it about religion, democracy or any values. The driving force or the source of all developments was always the greed for money and power. The richest and most powerful people had created this US empire.
It is a system that must fall. I strongly believe that Russia is the only country that could exist self-sufficiently. It is the only country that can develop a counter-model to the existing system and inspire humanity with it. Not China. It must be a system that works in the interest of all people. Whether Russia will create that we do not know. Two factors are important for this: freedom and a decent life.
It is the same here in Norway..
I want to eliminate a second misunderstanding. Every person should live as he wants. If he does not cause harm to other people. In my list I also wrote about LGBTQ+. This campaign and others are used to destroy traditions, history, cultures, language and ways of life of societies. It serves to weaken the collective power of society. All the way down to the family. The initiators of these campaigns do not want to do any good. A very good article on this:

Yep, the Russians are “4D chess” playing their way into a disaster. Every minute they screw around and don’t finish off Ukraine, the west’s plan B schemes to destroy Russia grow stronger. Russia is going to find itself in multiple fights simultaneously and will soon be overwhelmed. This is what I’ve been saying for months to all of the Russia fan boys who say silly things like “Russia doesn’t care about territory” and “Russia is doing fine slow grinding the Ukrainians – why attack? Let the enemy come to them” and “Russia is in no hurry. Quick victory is a stupid American concept. The Russians could let this go on for years”. and “Russia doesn’t care about the western propaganda war or how they appear to the west”
BS. As I’ve been saying for months, Russia’s inability/unwillingness to bring Ukraine to a speedy military victory has encouraged the west. The west thinks Russia is weak and incompetent and no way/no how can handle another conflict or two in its realm. Those will surely be the straws that break the camel’s back. So the west is off to stir up trouble in other countries that Russia must attend to. Russia has played very bad chess (chew on that Martyanov) and afforded the west the opportunity to create chaos on its borders.
Russia had better finish off Ukraine, consolidate their position there, build up their defenses, call up a couple million or more troops and get factories cranking out their best weapons systems 24/7/365.
This renewed talk of “negotiations” by Putin is just more stupid bad chess playing as it is being interpreted by the west as more Russian weakness. The words “negotiation” and “peace” should never come out of Putin’s mouth. Does he not understand that the west will not give up, ever? Is he dense? Peace will only come when one side is completely ground into the dust – and that, unfortunately, might mean nuclear war. More hopefully, it would mean the people of the west, including the US, rising up and getting rid of the maniacs the are running the show; a 180 of what the west wants to pull off in Russia.
Didn’t a shaman wearing a Bison hat already try to rise up and lead a revolution to overthrow the maniacs?

Putin is operating on a global scale, the war in Ukraine is one element of it but not the driving force.
For Putin wants to see regime change in the EU, ideally the death of the EU and a return to European nation’s autonomy, common sense and mutual trade.
He wants to end the dollar as the primary currency, to unite the global south in a mutually trading/investing consortium, to protect his people, these are just a few of his goals.
Think of Ukraine as his means to destroy the EU by their own insane sanctions, destroy NATO by wiping out their troops and inventory, destroy what was left of US credibility and perceived weaponry effectiveness.
If he ends the war and occupies Ukraine he is left with Afghanistan 2.0 and a US insurgency. If he keeps it the way it is, he controls the field, he sets the pace, he destroys an enemy that has no real ability to retaliate. He will run this war for years, as many as it takes, to accomplish his goals.
Yes, the US may release a dirty bomb in Ukraine, but why bother, for as long as they can launder money the US govt will be entirely content to run the war under Russian terms and brew up more trouble for Russia elsewhere.
Money isn’t the only thing they are laundering in Ukraine.
Putin’s peace statements are intended for domestic and BRICS/global south consumption. He has to appear as if he is a responsible world leader always striving for peace and only choosing war while the West is ignoring his calls for peace. This paints the West as the culprit because by now people in the global south understand that it is America/EU/UK pulling the strings behind Ukraine.
As for the West being encouraged by lack of Russian ambition to “get in and level the place” – I think there is a difference between official narrative and internal knowledge. I think internally (in Western governments) people know what is going on and how badly they are position to fight a war. However, the collective west is cornered by its own narrative and does not have a way out (which is what Putin keeps offering). Putin understands this – ever seen a gambler double down and double down until the family is gone, the house is gone, the car is gone? That’s what the West is doing and Putin (and everyone else) knows that someone with nothing to lose is a desperate opponent. I think Vladimir Vladimirovich is desperately trying to prevent that scenario and create a situation where the west is enticed to stop rather than double down and become desperate. It is not an easy task, obviously. There are other considerations; Putin has always known that it would be much better to do business with everyone and co-exist than to be at war. If you think he is happy about exchanging USA/EU/UK for China as main trading partners, you are mistaken – you can trust the Chinese as much as you can trust anyone else – which is not say – not much.
Eric Newhill says
I understand that Putin needs to appear righteous to the non-western world. However, by providing weakness appearing fodder to the west, the west becomes even more cornered by their own rhetoric. The opportunity for saner insiders to influence the outcome becomes diminished. If Putin thinks the west is going to stop if just offered the right circumstances, then he is delusional.
I agree with this. The West is gearing up to do something reckless because it feels Russia will never dare hurt NATO on its own territory. I.e. shying from the fight.
So Russia needs to conquer Ukraine faster so that the west doesn’t make a tragic mistake? It is Putin’s job to save the west from waltzing into a nuclear war because it perceives Russian behavior how it wants to perceive it.
It is actually Putin’s job to preserve enough force so that if the west does something really stupid he can respond. Your model would massively costly to Russia’s military force, it’s not like the west will step back and say, “whoa he kicked the shit out of Ukraine so we better be careful.” He’s now learned that the west won’t do the right or smart thing. What else is there to do but give it enough rope to hang itself with? The only other option is kicking the shit out of the US directly and that’s a nuclear war.
James K says
I have a feeling Putin might be “taking things slowly” from a slightly different angle — the plain ol’ “buying time for Russia + BRICS” (i.e., military/geopolitically) against a for-now superior NATO which itself appears to be “slowly crumbling under its own corruption — even if the “buying time” part isn’t exactly 100% efficient for Russia in the meantime either (Russia + BRICS nations all have their own internal corruption as well).
And meanwhile NATO is also rather content with this strategy on its own side too — it gets to pin the Russians down into a defensive little corner for just a few billions $$ with its own elites getting a source of long-term kickbacks $$ in the meantime as well.
Hence, don’t take Putin’s “peace, negotiation, rules, etc” rhetoric too seriously either — both sides seem to have agreed (for different reasons) to keep Ukraine as a long-term military quagmire, and it seems will likely keep it as such as well…
Ukraine really matters not at all, Eric, even if the Russians were to take over the whole of the country, however unlikely it may seem today, Russia’s security would not improve one bit, if anything she would be surrounded even more by NATO than before the invasion began (Sweden, Finland the new members), the Americans, firmly installed in Poland and Romania, would continue causing troubles, the unwashed of Ukraine, the west of the country in particular, would be unlikely to co-operate with the Putin’s installed puppet regime, the West would refuse credit to re-build the country, the Chinese, who have considerable interest in Ukraine, would not be happy either.
The only way for Putin to gain from the invasion is to confront the Americans and their NATO allies head on, he doesn’t have to win the confrontation, a draw would do, a draw that would compel the Americans to move out of Eastern Europe, or preferably out of Europe altogether.
That confrontation cannot be fought with conventional weapons, Russia’s manufacture of tanks, planes and AK-47s cannot beat the combined hardware capacity of the 27 NATO members, where Russia does excel however is in missiles both in the defensive and offensive categories (the S-range, the hypersonic ranges).
It may well be that what appears as signs of Russia’s military weakness is in reality a trap, a bait to get the Americans to lob a limited number of the Tomahawk missiles into Russia to ostensibly finish the Ukrainian agony, a sort of a warning of an adult to a child, look what I can do.
That would furnish a legitimate basis for Russia to hit the West with the RS-28 Sarmats or other advanced rocketry equipped with conventional not nuclear warheads, it’s enough for Russia to prove that the missiles or at least the majority of them could breach the Western defence systems.
The question is how would the West react? Would the NATO members retaliate knowing that they cannot stop a second wave of Sarmats equipped possibly with nuclear warheads, or will they sue for peace?
When talking about warmongers, neocons/neolibs etc. I think we are talking about the Jewish diaspora who are probably doing the bidding of the jewish central bankers in the City of London. in the present circumstances they are the main trouble-makers. That’s my theory.
Also in a way Americans were smart when they left behind all those weapons in afghanisthan. the afghans and pakis, for the most part are nothing but savage hordes who may use those weapons to kill/fight among themselves.
Be careful. You are not supposed to criticize or draw attention to Jewish power. Look what happened to “Ye.” Haven’t you learned your history? The Jews are always the victims and the goy are always the perps.

“There are no adults leading the Western governments”. — After the 1914 assassination attack in Sarajevo Gavrilo Princip was brought over to the newly built state prison in Theresienstadt, north of Prague. There he was chained inside an unheated cell to the wall like a wild beast. Soon Gavrilo contracted tuberculosis in the bones and died in 1918, in utter miserable solitude. After 1918 the new Czechoslovak government closed this inhuman institution of the Habsburg state. When thinking about ‘adults leading the Western governments’ the name of the Czechoslovak president Tomas Garrigue Masaryk comes to my mind. Soon after his death the fate of Czechoslovakia was decided upon in Munich.
During WWII the closed Habsburg state prison where Gavrilo Princip had been detained was reopened by the Gestapo. The old complex was converted into a political prison for people who were suspected of actively being anti-Nazi (during the war there were new buildings built within the compound). The nearby fortress town of Theresienstadt was turned into a Jewish ghetto, where people with the mark ‘Jewish’ in their passports were being collected and distributed to Vernichtungslagers like Auschwitz.
When president Masaryk rightly deserves the praise of being adult, perhaps the biggest contrast formed by someone leading the Western governments who was not adult at all is peculiar enough the victim of Gavrilo’s anarchist attack: Archduke Ferdinand d’Este. His place of living was the huge castle Konopiště (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konopi%C5%A1t%C4%9B). This luxurious residence is located not far from Theresienstadt. The archduke was a passionate hunter. When you visit the castle (turned into state property by the Czechoslovak government in 1921), you can admire his crazy ardor for collecting things. During his abruptly ended life archduke Ferdinand managed to shoot down more than 400.000 animals. This would mean that he killed about 3000 trophies during each day of his ‘adult’ life. Ferdinand d’Este deserves the title of the world’s first eco-terrorist. Apart from the world’s biggest antler collection Konopiště castle boasts the world’s biggest armour collection. Just like his German counterpart Kaiser Wilhelm II Archduke Ferdinand d’Este lacked adulthood.

“We were transferred from Zhytomyr to Poland, from there to Great Britain. They took us to the shooting range, ran in twos and threes. But no one there told us anything, did not explain. Classes with us in Zhytomyr were more intense,” compares prisoner of war Yevgeny Krivlyy.
He says that after such “study” in the UK, the Ukrainian command threw them into position with the order to “defend”.
“Sent for an indefinite period without food and water. They didn’t even give us any weapons. We even threatened to drop our guns and leave, but they promised to sentence us to 5-7 years,” says Evgeny.
Ukrainian soldiers sometimes had to get out of the dugout to find some food.
“We were just sitting in the cold, hungry and waiting for something. It happened that in two days we had 100 grams of water per person. It was hard to get to the place where the food was delivered, because the machine gunner was working. If you managed to get there to the base, there was not always a product, because everything was immediately taken away by those whose units were closer. We got one dry ration for two. How cattle were treated with stones. As we say in Ukraine, they threw you for meat. That’s exactly what happened, ”recalls Yevgeny Krivlyy, a prisoner of war.
The captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that they had already wanted to shoot themselves with something in order to get to the hospital, but then the Russian military came.
“As soon as we saw the attack, we immediately laid down our arms, took off our ammunition and raised our hands. The guys brought us, spent the night on the fireplace, gave us water, the doctor gave us hot tea to drink,” says the prisoner of war.
“Please don’t come here, find yourself in exactly the same situation,” shouty addresses his fellow countrymen with tears in his eyes.
He says he does not understand why Ukrainians should fight Russian citizens and concludes: “I have relatives in Russia, a brother in Voronezh. We are fraternal peoples, we are Slavs, you are the same people as we are.”
Contain the battlefield to Eastern Ukraine.
That’s the best bet to avoid General European War.
It’s already a global war, Ukraine is a mere sideshow
A hybrid information & propaganda war with fighting in Eastern Ukraine and strategic/tactical attacks on Ukraine’s electrical system and other targets with sporadic attacks in Russia proper does not constitute, your characterization of “global war” in my opinion.
My definition of a General European War is a kinetic, military war with military targets inside Nato territory and targets inside Russia, proper, involving Nato soldiers acting as a constituted force (not “street clothes” advisors, which certainly are in Ukraine doing advising +.) attacking Russian targets without respect to borders of countries.
Ukraine is not a sideshow in my opinion.
I guess it all depends on your definition of the terms you employ to describe the situation.
I repeat, containment of the battlefield in Eastern Ukraine is the best bet to avoid a General European war, as I defined that term above.

Yes, I agree that Americans are pretty parochial and certainly do not see themselves as an imperial power intent on ruling the world. Unfortunately the run-of-the-mill American citizen could care less about the world, what being too busy attempting to pay off their debt while at the same time “being all they can be”.
The current Administration is just plain corrupt and evil, as is all of the government. The past Administration had a President that just plain did not then, nor now, know when to keep quite. The nonsense that comes out of the mouth of both of them is astounding. It seems that Americans are content to hear this drivel from our leaders. I simply do not understand that feeling of content.
As a kid in the late 1960’s I would read in the newspapers and magazines, of the future predictions as given by the Rand think tank and others. We are at where they predicted. It does not get any better at all for at least another five years. If we survive that long. Yes, there has been a long range plan, we were told about this plan but living the American dream was more important than understanding what we were being told, and by whom. I have never been a conspiracy theorist but when someone tells you that your future is going to hell in a hand basket and gives you the dates…I found it easy to connect the dots.
As an American and a veteran, I gave up on America years ago. When it became obvious that Americans as a whole were beyond redemption I lost hope. Her children are consumed by consumerism and ego, her politicians corrupt, and her God…no where to be found. If we manage to survive to the end of 2024 things will get better, but not much better. There is a very long path ahead for the American citizen, a path that will require the self seeking, narcissistic, debt ridden American to understand what is truly valuable.

I watch that show regulary, and would recommend it to anyone that can understand the language. Quality of guests does vary, but the good ones provide unique insight that I could not find anywhere else.
Larry, Thanks for posting the interview so we too could benefit from your assessment. Although only able to speak English, the other participants seemed level-headed and articulate. I am glad to see you and others who are speaking the truth get ever-wider exposure.
Looking forward to your appearance with John Kiriakou on Gonzalo Lira’s Round Table!
Thanks for the assessments and insights Mr Johnson.

Great article and incredible comments…
Give me a second to find and put on my armchair general/pundit/expert/diplomat/NCO/ philosopher/teacher/citizen….Hat,
Starting with the empire…what institution can be altered/modified/restrained/curved/de-funded/ended?….the State Dept? The CIA/ the NSA? The Pentagon? The ATF? Congress/Senate? NGOs? …..name any government agency, program or department you can name that can be fixed.
I can’t think of any….then add to that the media, schools, Universities, Silicon Valley/hi-tech, Wall Street, mega corporations…..and you get a very bleak picture and even worse outlook for the future….(sorry for being so negative, but blindness is worse).
So for the Empire and it’s minions, there can only be one solution, if we it’s victims, want a future…a total reset….from the basement to the penthouse of its house of Babel.
That’s going to be painful to say the least….kind of like a special forces test, hows your attitude and resolve holding up under these barbaric conditions?
I think Putin is being smart in walking the high wire of statesman and peaceful diplomat for the world to see….and the iron fist to it’s enemies.
Sure, there’s risk in going slow to let your adversaries continue to hurt themselves….it emboldens your enemies with faints of weakness.
If I had the hat of expert I’m wearing right now, I would play that balance all day long….until I see a sign to alter course.
BUT….in the meantime I would be building up my armed forces and armament to the hilt….because the storm that’s coming is not going to be small or pleasant.
This whole planet is about to have a real showdown…..between all the prevalent forces to got us to this violent, materialistic, decadent, insensitive, Eco-destroying reality and culture.
The movie that scared me the most when young, was Soylent Green……and were there.
Love your family and your pets, care for all living things, find joy in the smallest things….because what’s coming is about to rain blood and acid on all humanity….may God help us.
We need that Divine help. Before he died, I had dinner with one of the first cameramen to film the Ethiopian famine for ITV and BBC, he told me how people often thought those filming we’re a bit heartless, filming instead of helping.
He told me that once the body goes past a certain stage of starvation you may be alive but you cannot recover, you are too far gone and you can only die. He told how he still has sleepless nights and how none of the crew could sleep or eat without distress.
He opened a door to a house, inside were a child and it’s parents, all clearly dying of starvation, he filmed them, not as a spectacle, but so their lives would mean something, raise some sense of awareness and urgency to help. In the end the filming created a huge humanitarian push saving lives.
I like Larry’s blog because I see the same thing in his writing. He is the camera recording events he cannot change in the hope that somehow those whom he reaches will stand firm and do something, even if it’s just to tell others. So the importance of sharing what we believe is true is of genuine importance as it means all the suffering is not in vain and the momentum to halt the madness lives and may deliver.
“Perhaps Russia is playing the long game”
I think they’ll be showing the West that, after all, they are winning the Cold War.
On the radio the other day I heard a “former” French Intelligence agent Eric Denece… he recalled a 1990-sth meeting with KGB agents. And they told him “make no mistake. We are not 1945 Germany. American tanks have not invaded the streets of Moscow”.
In other words “we didn’t lose the Cold War, we just got rid of Communism”.
Almost 30 years later these words might have a deeper meaning than Western Intelligence agents might have imagined…

It is astonishing how so many people write their thoughts on what is happening in this country and world and have no clue. There will be no easy out what is going on in this world has been going on in every country in our worlds history. The raping and pillaging , death, we have brought other countries in our quest to rule the world , the debauchery and persecution of our own people , mutilation of our children , the pornography that saturates our air ways , do we really believe this will go unpunished? Instead of looking for leaders who will change things , we should look to God NOT MEN!

Dima from the Military Summary channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-QSilQQs6I today noticed a huge change in the warfare of the RF side. Today the RF destroyed about 13 artillery systems from the UAF, and Dima says that he has never seen something like this before. Also today there happened no artillery strikes from the UAF on civilian targets in the city of Donetsk. My guess for explaining this Russian success is the deployment of the new tank T-14. This automatically answers enemy fire by means of its automatic firing system that even is able to release missiles instead of artillery munition. So seconds after the Ukrainians have used their artillery the T-14 tank blows up this system. The results are amazing. Soon the UAF cannot use their artillery anymore without taking into account a destructive counterattack from the Russian side.

Larry, that sick pit in your stomach you feel is the reverberation of hammering in of the final nail in the coffin of US hegemony. The American leaders have sealed the doom of USA, and what will happen next is chaos and civil war within United States. enjoyed the roundtable immensely
i found this funny as well
It appears Medvedev himself meant the admittedly “absurd” thread as a playful and comedic exercise in sarcasm for the new year, given he also ended it with a tweet writing, “Season greetings to you all, Anglo-Saxon friends, and their happily oinking piglets!”
Dave 1961 says

As most here are aware, the US government and its counterparts in Europe are slitting their own wrists with current spending and Ukraine support policies. What cannot go on forever, will not go on forever. Eventually the bill comes due and the consequences are predictable. So, why do they continue on this path of self-destruction?
I think the answer may be found in the profligate spending sprees that all of these governments have been engaging in for the past few decades. The sovereign debt of these countries is now unmanageable in any scenario save raping & pillaging the resources of places like Ukraine and Russia. They need the revenue stream from this planned theft of resources in order to stave off financial collapse in their own countries. For these “leaders”, its do or die time. If Russia wins, the dominoes will start falling in Europe and finally end in collapse of the US economy as well.
For this reason, Russia must ask itself . . . “why rush to victory? If the West is hellbent on committing suicide, why not drag this out and maybe sell them a few extra scalpels to embolden their wrist slitting?” How far we have fallen.
Mark J says
Yes. Personally, I believe that Russia has already won the big picture global US hedgemony war…by trading in Rubles, not US currency. Russia, China, India, the sand box… all the Islamic countries.. including those in Africa..seek a gold backed money.
Not a currency… a money.
Debt based schemes such as the Federal Reserve require the debt to always grow and expand..or the system will collapse. 2% minimum inflation and currency creation…compounded, of course. Minimum.
The member banks of the FED get a 6% return on the currency they create out of thin air. The politicians make promises and spend for votes [and graft]..so the politicals and the fed are in a sodomite relationship.
By trading oil…not in dollars, but in gold backed multi polar money… the US will have the two choices:
1] let the economy deflate and collapse. Most banks are mostly backed by real estate loans. Deflation will make most all the fiduciary trusts insolvent.
2]go back to a resource based economy…developing our ample natural resources, rebuild the manufacturing base, pump our own oil..mine our own minerals..etc.
They want to kick the can on number 1…. and have green dreams… which don’t include number 2.
The various state separation movements…not just Texas… New Amsterdam [NY} New Lincoln [Ill}, New Nevada, State of Jefferson [S OR/Nor CA], Greater Idaho [absorbing east and south OR counties and nor cal counties]…. Imperial County CA would like to join Nevada…and so on.
This is the urban/rural… red/blue…. Marxist – communist/Constitutional – God fearing… divide.
The United States will predictably divide on belief and economic compartments.
Putin has already won… if Russia is not nuked… they have won already. If Russia is nuked…then hopefully they return fire on NYC, WA DC during a joint session…might as well glass over Langley and Quantico too.
Robert Welch spoke to it in the 50’s…and it has come to fruition

This situation is not only true, but worrying. The fact that some elements of the PKK created disturbances in Paris leaves me a question: Is this a great American attempt, coming from its power system to create various disturbances in Europe in order to dismember the European Union?
It is always important to listen to confidence and try to understand where it comes from. So many players in this war, yet switch off the sound and the body language is fascinating.
From the training I had inbody language my take would be this.
The initial nervousness of the Western leaders at the commencement of the SMO gave way to surprise and incredulity and then genuine confidence and arrogance.
The body language of Russia’s leaders was a slight nervousness and surprised confusion that settled into grim wariness and determination. There is no over-confidence. Just acceptance of what is now inevitable.
Whether the genuine confidence of the West is merited who knows? It is too consistent across political leaders to be without genuine merit. They do not fear Russia. Probably because Russia, to date has given them no reason to fear them. It excuses their attacks, continues trade, shows no sign of wanting to directly confront them, when the West has made it clear this is not just what they want, but what they are doing.
I feel a huge amount of pity and empathy for Russia. They have no easy options and no certain outcomes, but they have plans and strength and I hope to God they can use them well and in good time to deal with what is coming.
The US and UK are killer regimes. They love the kill and taste of blood on their enemies, the money in their hands. And with Russia they have drawn and tasted blood and it is driving them to ecstasy. From biological, chemical, nuclear, financial and military weapons, the West has the means to murder at will and with the MSM and intelligence agencies it has the means to control their population and convince them white is black, man is woman, truth is a lie.
For my money I believe at some point the West will attempt a decapitation strike in Russia 2023/4. Drones have successfully entered 700miles into Russia and attacked bases killing military personnel. Twice. With zero consequences. Yes in a full in war Russia will try to neutralize US 4CISR capacity, but if the strike is successful it will be too late. And it looks like it will probably be too late because Russia is so reluctant to escalate, because escalation would be such a fking mess on all sides so that gives the West time to plan a decapitation strike and gather data on how best to do it.
I believe Russia’s relative inactivity right now is to build up weapon stocks, in particular drones.
The next strike cannot stop, so it needs to be a perfect attack as can be. Possibly timed with China taking on Taiwan, Iran on Syria and Serbia on Kosovo so it’s a question of when WW3 really starts. Let us not be impatient and enjoy this time before it does.
The East has understood it has no choice but to decapitate the West to survive. The West is hunting for pleasure, power and treasure, it doesn’t care what anyone, including it’s own citizens think.
So yes, as Larry sets out in his title, too many things can go wrong, and the first glaring problem is that the USUK believe they will win, without any shadow of a doubt. Whether Ukraine is good or not is irrelevant. It’s never been about them. Old money, new money and power need to feed on another carcass.
Cris from Caracas says
Zelensky can’t negotiate even if he wanted to because of the fanatical circle of power surrounding Zelensky in Kiev.
Biden can’t negotiate even if he wanted to because of the fanatical circle of power
surrounding Biden in Washington.
There is a mirror image in each of the two capitals.
Only when there is irrefutable evidence that can’t be denied which clearly shows Ukraine is finished militarily and/or politically (a successful coup against the government or a collapse) will Washington D. C. agree to negotiate in good faith.
But as long as there is even an appearance of the Ukraine Army functioning… even if they are steadily losing, but still fighting… Washington will let Ukrainians fight to the last man.
The power circle in Washington & beyond will demand Ukraine keep fighting.
There has been a “maddening” or “quickening” in Washington where they simply can’t think or act rationally… they will lie to themselves before they will admit the truth… maybe, they never will admit the truth.
Think of the villain in the old T. V. show, The Wild, Wild, West, and you have a good idea of the state of mind in the power circles in both Washington & Kiev.
They are both in the same mind trap… they will not stop easily.

Hey, Larry. If memory serves, that fight was in Zaire, between Ali and the great George Foreman, who later went on to make one of the greatest comebacks in the annals of sports history. Ali’s tactics that night remind me a lot of the Republican Party. But there is a big difference. Like Sugar Ray Robinson (whom Bert Sugar ranks as the greatest fighter of all time), Ali was a tremendous counter puncher. But the Republican Party simply gets driven into a corner, where it then absorbs unanswered, devastating blows. Straight jabs, left hooks, upper cuts and over hand rights. If Republicans are smart enough to elect Andy Biggs as House Speaker, maybe we can learn how to counter punch hard and maybe even win.
Here is goole translation from the book “Bud of Evil” about Serbs;
“From Jonathan Lee’s Vice-A “Bud of Evil”
If you tell me where the beginning of the infinite is, I will agree … if something is infinite then it has no beginning or end … we have enclosed ourselves in earthly space, and the stellar universe is infinite … One of the most brilliant European minds was Nicholas Tesla … he realized that you cannot limit space and that the power of the infinite is tame if you overcome your own bodily and
material requirements …

Dietrich Hefler talked further …
– Nikola Tesla was a Serb; I must admit that I am not very fond of Serbs.
Very strange people: you can’t shape them into any world order. Although they know they are losing, without blood they will not give up any of their territory. During the Second World War, they suffered as much as the Jews … One German soldier was killed
100 Serbs, Hungarian penal units slaughtered them and threw them under the Novi Sad bridge.
Bulgarians invaded their villages and killed women, children and the elderly in the most cruel way. The Croatian Ustasha army made a special knife for the slaughter of Serbs, and Catholic priests went with it, saying: “You slaughter, and we will save you from

To the Austro-Hungarians, they rose up against the German occupation, and against Stalin in 1948. They never wanted an alliance, a pact, or outside their borders.
In Kosovo, they stood against the Ottoman Empire to protect Europe. They are after

It is also interesting that they are in moments of all their bloody histories

they lost at the negotiating table … they were never terrorists or anti-Semites, they love everyone equally … even ants don’t step on them because they are God’s creatures
– he added disgustingly and with contempt.
Dave watched Dietrich Heffler in silence, listening to the fierceness of the obvious disobedience of a nation …
Hefler took a sip of tea and continued …
– I must admit that I really did not understand what the Serbs were defending and why they fought

the fiercest Serbian wars have always been fought, the greatest blows were suffered in that very place … my colleagues will agree that Serbian generals and military leaders were the best
soldiers and strategists … and the motive of their defense and sacrifice was “For the cross of honor and golden freedom” …
I don’t know what today’s politicians will do with them; if I live, it will be interesting to watch … Until now, only Europeans bathed in Serbian blood, and now they
The Americans have been pressuring various sanctions for ten years in order to weaken them.
They have not yet bled the hands of their soldiers, they have left it to their Croatian-Muslim-Albanian servants. The result is more than miserable: Serbs have become a kind of American nightmare. America thought that it would teach Serbs overnight

I must add that in that conflict I have a bit of fan passion … it’s simple

several larger overseas ships and move forever from the Balkans, succeeds
to resist all world conquerors …
Dave put down an empty cup made of the finest Austrian porcelain … He was especially intrigued by the fact that the Serbs defended themselves so much from the Austro-Hungarians, the Russians and the
Germans and the Ottoman Empire, well, now from the Americans …
– Professor Hefler! … What do you know about Serbs?
– I know I don’t like them – he was almost decisive. – If there were no Serbs in the world
the order would be much different today. They live in the lobby of Europe … neither
Because of them, Europe can go to Asia, and America can go to Europe again because of them …
they are the guards of the door of a four-room house, in front of that door the whole world was constantly rattling with weapons and money … they do not react to either.
No secret password found yet; I am afraid that the Americans will also lose patience … Whatever is offered to the Serbs, they refuse it …
– And the profile of the people? Dave asked …
-They are absolutely unpredictable: sometimes they do perfectly what you ask of them,
and then, as their proverb says, “turn the party upside down” …
They bled a lot for the sake of Europe, and no one has cried over the Serbian fate yet. The world somehow enthusiastically accepted their satanization, and no one
he did not think that they were simply defending themselves. You think that the Serbs were hacked by them
the world does not like. Believe me, not in the least. They almost didn’t try to dissuade the world …
The Serbs consider everything that happens to them to be a kind of attack by the Antichrist
Orthodoxy, and in that fight their only ally is God … Under such pressures
what they suffer, believe me, many would give it up … It seems that they are ready to
endured to the end. “

A tablespoon of pepto bismol will help take care of that sick feeling at the pit of your stomach. There will be NO nuclear conflict for one simple reason: “Wer davon lebt, einen Feind zu bekämpfen, hat ein Interesse daran, daß er am Leben bleibt.” (Whomever lives to fight an enemy has a vested interest in keeping that enemy alive) Nietzsche. A nuclear war ends all the profits, all the reasons for more war. This is “1984”, by the book. 2 minutes of hate (up to about half an hour, daily, these days), never ending war, terrorists forever, surrounded by existential threats … BUT no nuclear war. And Russia has no plans go into NATO countries because they are all collapsing.
Randall Starkey says
The only way to penetrate the massive curtain of lies from the West is for Russia to overwhelm Ukrainian forces and drive the current criminal government of Ukraine out of power and out of the region. The West has doubled down on a foolish bet propaganda can prevail and defeat a large, powerful, fighting army.
Russia now is actually carrying the burden, for all mankind, of destroying propaganda and mind control and bringing the whole world back to a hard dose of reality: Bullshit cannot prevail against a powerful military fighting for its country’s very existence.
Ukraine is not a democracy. It is a dictatorship allowing no opposition to its madness and its corrupt leadership. For the sake of the world, Russia can and will deliver mankind from manipulation by American government “mind control” which has no basis in reality. To do otherwise, is to keep the entire world in the grip of gaslighting, indefinitely.
Russia will provide much-needed electric shock therapy to people everywhere. The world cannot forever be held captive by a gigantic bluff from the Wizard of Oz shouting into an amplified microphone and jerking levers to create phony thunder and lightning behind a green curtain.
“Russia will provide much-needed electric shock therapy to people everywhere.”
“Shock therapy” is not theraputic facilitating damage to brain cells – that is the way of “The United States of America” who don’t ponder “What is for afters ?” as a function of their purpose to attempt to “ensure” that there are no afters like Louis the 16th lately of France.
The Russian Federation and associates offer cooperative therapies to transcend “The United States of America” not to emulate them in illusions of “Wizzardry”.
i checked this out again and medvedevs comments may not be that far from reality about his possible predictions for next year or in the next couple of years.
Below is Medvedev’s full Twitter thread on “What can happen in 2023”:
Oil price will rise to $150 a barrel, and gas price will top $5.000 per 1.000 cubic meters
The UK will rejoin the EU
The EU will collapse after the UK’s return; Euro will drop out of use as the former EU currency
Poland and Hungary will occupy western regions of the formerly existing Ukraine
The Fourth Reich will be created, encompassing the territory of Germany and its satellites, i.e., Poland, the Baltic states, Czechia, Slovakia, the Kiev Republic, and other outcasts
War will break out between France and the Fourth Reich. Europe will be divided, Poland repartitioned in the process
Northern Ireland will separate from the UK and join the Republic of Ireland
Civil war will break out in the US, California. and Texas becoming independent states as a result. Texas and Mexico will form an allied state. Elon Musk’ll win the presidential election in a number of states which, after the new Civil War’s end, will have been given to the GOP
All the largest stock markets and financial activity will leave the US and Europe and move to Asia
The Bretton Woods system of monetary management will collapse, leading to the IMF and World Bank crash. Euro and Dollar will stop circulating as the global reserve currencies. Digital fiat currencies will be actively used instead

PETER MORELLO’S COMMENTS: (1) US, Canada, Ukraine and Russia are Caucasian-European nations by ethnic majority and nominally Christian nations by religious majority; (2) Ukraine and Russia are also Slavic nations and neighbors with similar laws (limits) on abortion and LGBT; (3) Russia was US’ supporter in the American Revolution at great cost to herself – the island of Menorca; (4) Russia was US’ supporter in the Civil War when US’ opponents were Britain and France, prompting US Secretary of Navy, Gideon Welles to say “God bless the Russians”; (5) US (western Alaska) and Russia are neighbors, and Canada (northwestern Yukon) is closer to Russia than to Britain and France or Mexico; (6) US and Russia were never at war, not counting the Cold War or proxy wars, as compared, for example, with the “G7” nations; (7) US, Canada, NATO and Ukraine have disputes with Russia since the 1999 NATO bombing of Yugoslavia and militarization of countries neighboring Russia which was invaded over the centuries by NATO members Britain, France, Germany, (Mussolini’s) Italy, Romania, Lithuania-Poland, Turkey and by others including Sweden and the Mongols who inflicted on Ukraine and Russia death and destruction with hardly any parallels in world’s history – Germany also helped Lenin to impose psychopathic and deadly Marxism on Ukraine and Russia in 1917, while Ukraine and Russia, mostly by themselves, prevented Poland’s annihilation by Nazis and saved Europe from Nazi Germany and Mongols; (8) Ukraine and Russia have a border dispute, and a military conflict-war since the violations of the February 21, 2014 all-Ukrainian political agreement in Kiev and the violations of the 2014-2015 Minsk Peace Agreement signed by Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France (in the future, a joint venture by the Minsk signatories in securing Ukrainian segment of “Pan-European” gas pipeline might be a “win-win”) – by February 23, 2022 the war took some 15,000 lives and produced thousands of refugees as well as widespread material destruction in eastern Ukraine; on February 24, 2022 Russia escalated the war and invaded Ukraine resulting in many more deaths, refugees and material destruction across Ukraine; (9) US and Russia can destroy each other and the world with their nuclear weapons in an hour; (10) the irreplaceable way forward for resolving these issues are the eternally-valid biblical principles reflected in President Washington’s Farewell Address in which he called religion-morality the foundation of domestic well-being and peace with other nations and in President Lincoln’s last Inaugural Address “… with malice towards none, with charity for all … among ourselves and with all nations”, as well as in Pope Francis’ 2022 call for prayer and political talks centered on “human brotherhood instead of partisan interests”, all the while keeping in mind the 2022 Lenten message “Remember thou art dust and to dust thou shalt return” and “Repent and believe in the Gospel” which also includes “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” and the parable of “the speck and the log” – moral principles given to us by Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace and the just Judge of the world, principles ignored at one’s great peril.
