I don’t think most people in modern Western society realize how much energy— particularly cheap and plentiful energy— affords them the cushy life they live, working bullshit jobs remotely from a laptop.

If we lost 90% of remote laptop workers we wouldn’t notice. If we lost 30% of our energy supply we’d experience a cascading catastrophe that’d affect our life profoundly and would hollow out the remaining productive capacity of the economy.

Forget producing things. Basic services would grind to a halt…no chilled drugs, food supply collapses, coms and utilities collapse. Death would occur on quite a large scale. The book “One Second After” is an interesting novel as it goes through the chronology of collapse, who dies and why.

When you put it this way, maybe all the climate change hysteria isn’t that bad after all. Not that I believe all this garbage about co2, but I am wired to be efficient and not waste things.

But for the life of me, I can’t understand why we don’t have more nuclear power. That would solve a lot of problems, especially when it comes to running out of easy to retrieve fossil fuels. That makes me wonder if they aren’t really trying to control us under the guise of being concerned about the environment. I e, communism, totalitarianism or whatever best fits the description.

I definitely agree regarding remote workers. I’m glad life forced me into a traditional trade, though it sometimes eats at me how others make considerably more than myself as they park their backsides behind a screen while they sit at home sipping coffee in their pajamas, but such is life. Perhaps I look like the fool right now for working a job that requires me to be on site, but give it a decade and we shall see…

It has become fashionable lately to discourage students from going to college and pushing them into learning a trade.

Although there is nothing wrong with a trade, people should be careful with this line of thinking. The plumber’s union doesn’t get a seat at the table where they decide whether we have to eat bugs or not. Like it or not, you have to have a college degree and excel at your studies to sit there.

If we want people representing us at that table, we need those people behind computer screens as well.

you only need to lose enough of the skilled energy grid ”workers” who keep it all up and running…..without them you have the same outcome with no hope of repair.

Pretty much all of those ‘remote laptop workers’ are non-productive, parasitical government/corporate bureaucracy drones that need to cease to exist. Also, I’ve never notice anyone talking about the parasitic ‘drag’ on the Electric Grid from the hundreds of thousands of “Data Centers” eating Gigawatts of Power stirring electrons in useless ‘clouds’ and enabling the functioning of the “Control Grid” against the Citizens.

Remember, when your House goes Cold and Dark, these places will not be subjected to ‘Rolling Blackouts’, and even if they are, all are equipped with Diesel or Gas-Turbine Backup Generators… I’d take a WAG and say that the installed Wattage of all these Petroleum-Fired Gensets well exceeds all of the extant “Green Energy” Windmills.

    We should not laugh.

Why? If we assume that the sanctions against RF are unjust and designed to punish ordinary Russians/foment unrest against the decision making elite (and this is why we think they are unjust – because they punish ordinary people who have no say)- well, by the same token, we should not revel in the boomerang effects on said sanctions on the ordinary people in the EU. Correct?

    Happy new year!

Maybe for the people who did not believe that their unvaxxed neighbor was the problem with a plandemic. Same mindset that would throw their fellow man into an oven circa 1930’s. A child was born in a little town of Bethlehem apparently to bring compassion and seemed to go against government doctrine. But he also said let the dead bury their own dead. Use that lump of coal wisely that got dropped off. Merry Christmas to some, the rest Happy Pagan Winter Holidays.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

Found this really funny so decided to share. It was posted by Derer on the Unz site, on a Paul Craig Roberts article.
“Putin Has Misread the West (And) if He Doesn’t Wake Up Soon, Armageddon Is Upon Us”

The relationship between Washington and Moscow is irreparable. Recently, Russian foreign minister Lavrov while flying to US, took his isle seat besides Blinken and Nuland returning to Washington. Soon after taking off his shoes Lavrov starts to relax, the middle seat Nuland said to Blinken “now I wouldn’t mind to have a cold beer”. Lavrov responded “no problem I will get it for you”. While he left for the beer the two Americans spit in his shoes. When the Russian came back with the beer and sat, Blinken exclaimed “I would like to have a beer too”. Lavrov again offered to bring the beer. The two Americans again spit in his shoes. When plane was landing in Washington and Lavrov put his shoes on, he immediately realized as to what has happened and started shouting “this animosity between our countries, this hate, this spitting in shoes and pissing in beer must stop”.

A little polite back and forth – my friends didn’t have the slightest notion that average salary something like $150/month. They also didn’t have a clue that 2/3s of working age Ukrainians fled the country from 2014-2021.

Rt was banned in Europe on Day 5 of the SMO, and a few days later, in America. Ain’t that something to think about?

Leads one to the conclusion that plans were in place long before the random events unfolded as they did, for a total news blackout, to be implemented once the Russians started their quest for world domination, by launching a brutal and unprovoked attack on an innocent and independent beacon of democracy somewhere in their near vicinity.

Speaking of blackouts, what is the status of Ukraine’s electrical grid? Does anyone know? Is it possible Ukraine’s grid has been degraded to such an extent, they must now use coal fired choo choo trains to transport men and material to the front?

    https://www.bitchute.com/video/3JJOX6toOLE9/

Also, why is Russia allowing this choo choo train to boldly go wherever it wants? If I were a member of the Russian General Staff, I would be demanding that all choo choos be assigned a Kinzhal, and I’d put hypersonic down each and every one of their stacks.

Admittedly, I’m a brutal man when it comes to fighting existential wars to the multi-polar death, for the simple reason, that being any other way can get you, as me Daddy used to say, “kil’t thrice over. ”

Worth a look see for those who are interested in the so called, Big Picture. Me personally, I like tactics, but in order to be taken seriously I know I must listen to folks like Mark Sleboda, even if it costs me an hour of my valuable time.

Russian-Chinese Ties vs. US Aggression w/ Carl Zha & Mark Sleboda

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALE6S_MmVew

Mark Sleboda, what can one say? He believes in order to understand what’s going on, we must think generations ahead, because that is precisely what the Chinese are doing.

Ridiculous. Give me a machine that trades equities at the speed of light, so I can both hold and sell a stock in a fraction of a millisecond, because that’s the proper amount of time we Americans should be thinkin’ ahead, a 0.001 seconds, if we want to stop the Chinese colossus before it can transform into a behemothic hegemon.

I just read Dreizin’s latest post, the one in which he attacks both you and Brian Berletic and where he levels (his usual) sophomoric insults that would besmirch the reputation of even a 6th grade schoolyard bully if he resorted to them (most 6th grade bullies, unlike Mr. Dreizin, are smart enough to refrain from using this kind of language, at least in public). I know you and others have come to regard this fellow as a nuisance, as merely a pest in search of ego-enhancement elixirs, and that it’s often wise to simply ignore annoyances of this caliber. This time, though, the insult is sufficiently public and demeaning that I really think he deserves an equally public smackdown. Some of the stuff he publishes is interesting even when filtered through his bizarrely puerile style, but his gratuitous use this time of what is purely meanspirited invective demands the use of soap to wash out the lad’s mouth, something that will leave him with a taste to remember for at least a few weeks.

Nah, he is just whoring for attention. Giving him any will only make him worse.

I had a discussion with him in the comment section there, without any ill intention. After I’ve proven my point (and him being wrong), he deleted the comments, and threw an insult in his next post and a threat of pemanent ban (a thing that can not work on his site). I find it mildly amusing that his ego is so fragile that it can be triggered without any effort whatsoever. I never thought that a “famous blogger” would address me personally, so it’s kind of flattering.

I believe Larry and Brian are triggering him just by being more successful, although he is “smarter” and “better” and stuff. The real ironic thing here is that it’s his ego that’s keeping him down. Insulting visitors is not a good way to attract more of them, except maybe on some S&M blog.

Whether his patological insecurity is caused by the lack of height or lenght, will remain unknown. It is something that only medical professionals can tell, or his wife.

About the banning of RT in North America. This is from a person living in Canada.

Until the SMO started a search for RT on Google gave you the correct link at the top of the search results.
Once the SMO started all search engines based in NA and WE removed RT from their list of results.

You could still get to RT by actually typing the URL : https://www.rt.com. This still works just fine in any browser.

Initially, the security services were actively targeting the site with Denial Of Service attacks. So it was a more annoying experience – you had to be persistent to get to the RT site. After a month or two that has either eased off or the Russians have found a way to protect the site.

Currently, it works in any browser by typing or bookmarking the correct url (see above).

I wonder what it is like in the US and Europe…

    Thanks

      Hello Brzl.
Just to solve your curiosity (and mine), because I do not follow propaganda media (neither CNN, nor RT .. even less the spanish “mierdos* de comunicación”)

In Spain it is exactly as you say:

      – in google, you cannot find RT
      – but if you type https://www.rt.com , it just works
      – if you want the spanish version, it changes to https://actualidad.rt.com/

      I’m using firefox.

*mierda is the spanish word for sh*t, sorry

Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year ahead to all!
I called today my friend in Kyiv to wish her a Happy upcoming new year, in case we could connect, and it was past 10 pm in Kyiv and we’re chatting, when her husband shouted in the background, ” turn off the light!” And I was shocked, “Did Dima just asked to turn off the light in KYIV? Do you guys, got power there?” And she told me they returned to Kyiv for few days for business, and while it’s freezing in their apartment and they sleep in sleeping bags with all coats on them, but surprisingly, they have lights at their place.

Yes! There is a suspicion that the Ukrainian authorities are lying that they have very bad electricity. They need the whole world to sympathize with the victim of the Putin regime, to give more money and weapons.

They are not lying about that. I guess that makes it the first thing they are not lying about.

Damage to the electrical system is severe, but not total. I’m sure Russians are intentionally keeping it close to the edge of collapse, without pushing it over, yet.

It seems peace could be banned.
Suggestions for peace should be welcome here, and everywhere :
Negotiations must happen soon – Venue , anyone? No institution worldwide has any credibility, except the Vatican, in spite of all its faults.

Over 1,000 faith leaders call for a Christmas truce in Ukraine

I am sure V.Putin is not driven by religious ideologues.
So how about it – are we better than our ‘destiny’?

The article says 1,000 faith leaders in the United States. If they want peace they should go and make a protest in Washington where all wars start, instead of writing empty words followed by the phrase “Putin’s aggression”. It should be easy for them, because US religious leaders tend to own private jets.

Zelensky is raiding churches as we speak. He would surely welcome truce, so that he can finish his business in peace. Besides, he could use a time-out until recently approved USA weaponry arrive, courtesy of US tax payers.

The alternative is Trotsky’s permanent war, to the last man standing on all sides, counterproductive – the peace of the graveyard where one can hear a pin drop and various parading ‘priests’ blather that it is God’s fault, not theirs.

A propos the tech generation, college and trades. I’m old enough to remember dodge ball, pencil and paper, classroom competitions for repetition of multiplication tables, classroom spelling bees, life without TV, 2 party phone lines, safe neighborhoods, typing term papers on manual typewriters with erasers to correct errors, adults engaging children in conversation, locally grown produce (no need for farmer’s markets under the freeway), no fax, no PC, no spellcheck, no calculators. We learned to read and write proper English.
Doubtless, a STEM curriculum is important but programming and algorithms have invaded many fields that now rely on tech to the exclusion of human relations. I abhor texting (refuse to text) – does anyone recall Bill Gates’ comment that he was pleased that texting would destroy the English language? I despise “Zoom” meetings – visually distorting and require no attention. “Human Resources” is now “People Operations” and conducted almost exclusively by “specialists” who enter data in programs to track hiring, time, payroll, salaries, etc. Recently was appalled when an HR video came up with the “bright idea” that it would be a good idea for managers to talk to subordinates at least twice a month.
Pervasive detrimental educational and societal influences have unalterably created generations of ill-informed, uncritical, twitter headline reliant, hedonistic, less than bright, irresponsible “adults” who are unable to learn from history let alone look beyond who’s tweeting what today. Of course, there are bound to be exceptions but they are few and far between.
The US is in for a major shock when its phony, debt based, resource theft affluence disappears as the god awful mess created for decades by the war mongering Fed and implemented by corrupt politicians through the MIC and State Dept NGO’s and their media minions collapses as the multi-polar world de-dollarizes.
Nonetheless, Larry and other commentators who bring us fact and expertise based information will help those of us with eyes to see and ears to hear survive the inevitable. So, I thank Larry for his valuable contributions and wish for all a Healthy, Happy, Wealthy – pray for peace – New Year.

About Larry C. Johnson

I am a bona fide Son of American Revolutionaries. At least 24 of my ancestors, men and women, fought to free the American Colonies from British rule. Some died for the cause of liberty. Though two and a half centuries have passed since my great grandfathers and grandmothers took up arms, the principles they fought for remain valid and relevant to the 21st Century. This blog is dedicated to the pursuit of truth without regard to partisan advantage. I welcome like minded patriots.
