I am honored that Judge Napolitano deems me worthy of a repeat performance on his popular podcast. His show is entertaining and informative. We covered a variety of topics, but one of the most salient was Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s embarrassing testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee yesterday (Tuesday). I explain below.
Austin’s answers to Senators’ questions revealed there is a big problem with the U.S. Intelligence Community. Austin repeated recent propaganda published by an anti-Russian group:
Russia is dusting off the cobwebs from military deep storage facilities in the country’s Far East, for the first time railing un-upgraded Cold War T-54B tanks westward, possibly bound for Ukraine. . . .
This news was first revealed on Wednesday by an investigative report by Conflict Intelligence Team, an independent investigative group from Russia. Formed in 2014 with a focus on exposing Russia’s initially covert war in Ukraine, its members were forced into exile after Moscow initiated its 2022 invasion.
The group posted still photos of T-54s seen transiting through the town of Arsenyev, on the southeastern tip of Russia near Vladivostok—the location of the 1295th Central Tank Repair and Storage Base. Earlier in the summer of 2022, this base also furnished T-62MV tanks that were deployed into combat in Ukraine.
Here is the problem — Either this is what the intelligence community told Austin or Austin is ignoring the intelligence community. There is ample evidence in unclassified sources that Russia’s most modern tank, the T-90, is deployed at various points along the front and these tanks are not suffering devastating losses despite Western media claims based on information provided by Ukraine. Moreover, the Russian tank factories are operating 24 – 7 and are increasing their production.
If you do a Google search you will be flooded with articles claiming that Russia is running out of tanks and is having to use ancient, out dated tanks produced 50 years ago. But this is a lie. Russia has at least one plant producing tanks and is reportedly opening other facilities. The countries that do not have the ability to produce modern tanks in any significant quantities are the United States and NATO. We are witnessing PROJECTION. The West projects on Russia the West’s on weakness. Ditto for artillery shells, rockets and missiles.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to lose men, equipment and territory across the Donbas. The promised Ukraine offensive continues to be postponed. Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley continue to embrace fantasy instead of demanding objective, empirical facts from the Intelligence Community. This is not only a brewing intelligence failure, it is a failure of command.
There is news that Zelensky has invited President Xi to come to the Ukraine and discuss China’s proposed peace plan — but apparently has had no response from the Chinese.
Zelensky needs to learn an obvious truth — Mohammed goes to the mountain. Maybe if Zelensky asks nicely, China will allow him to travel to Beijing and talk with President Xi. But President Xi won’t want to talk with Zelensky until Z is ready to admit that the Ukraine will have to give up territory and will have to agree to being neutral/demilitarized.
Elensky has painted himself into a corner. If he agrees to cede territory and demilitarise and neutralise now, he is admitting that the last full year of war (after he abandoned peace talks last March end) have been of no purpose whatsoever, and have killed at least a quarter of a million Ukrainians for nothing. That’s apart from the fact that it will be a race between his nazi minions and his NATO masters to eliminate him. No wonder he’s always sniffing these days, the cocaine craving is off the charts.
“Elensky has painted himself into a corner.”
No, Boris Johnson & Joe ‘hologram’ Biden did that for him when they vetoed the putative peace agreement between Ukraine & Russia in late March-early April 2022.
“… it will be a race between his nazi minions and his NATO masters to eliminate him.”
Well, that’s what you get for dancing with the Devil. My gratuitous advice: he should ask for a meeting with the Chinese *in Beijing* and then immediately seek asylum (presuming his family is already somewhere safe).
Kind regards, I enjoy your posts.
I believe Z already has a mansion in Florida.
He would be better off to sell it.. Then buy a new one in California. Over there, he could use again his leather outfit and resume his career as a dancer!
Woke primary schools are facing a shortage of exotic dance teachers…
Woke high schools are also looking for ultra-inclusive pianists!
The community will enjoy the first performance of the Moby Dick Concerto. According to rumour, it will be a D-Minor concerto…
Taxpayers have nothing to worry about : he will perform for free!
While Zelensky`s parents now live in Israel, for all we know his wife may well currently be on another shopping spree in riot-torn Paris…or London, or Frankfurt.
Zelensky’s future lies in Switzerland or Israel…if he can get there before being killed by his own.
Perhaps, but it is still on Zelensky. He accepted the influence of outside forces and failed to carry out his election promise of finding peace with Russia. One can blame the West all they want, and the West is certainly responsible for all of this, from even before 2014. However, Zelensky anteed up at the table and gambled he would win big.
He may walk away with a pot of U.S. and Western money but he will forever be vilified in the history of the world.
Zelensky would be glad to meet his mentor Kolomoyskyi again… Together, they could act as leaders of a beacon of democracy and human rights..
With Brandon, they could create a new Triumvirate and celebrate the upcoming total victory of Ukraine!
“… and have killed at least a quarter of a million Ukrainians for nothing.”
It’s not for nothing. He got an Oscar, and money. Lots of money. He is the richest and most popular actor in the World, and those are still rookie numbers compared to Madeleine Albright and her half a million kids.
Where did you hear that Zelensky had contacted China about this? If true, that sounds very interesting. He’d be admitting that he’s SOL but still wouldn’t have the courage to say so publicly. Of course the US wouldn’t be happy either way.
Getting Xi to come to Nazikrania would be a huge propaganda win for Zelensky. I would not expect Xi to fall for it and suddenly appear on the door steps of Zelensky’s hide out…whether in Poland or Nazikrania.
Reading the press and watching the talking heads of Europe, I sense a small movement to them admitting Nazikrania will be conquered. Yesterday, a Polish TV station aired a map of their expectations of the new territories gained by Poland, Russia, and what would be left of Nazikrania.

By the words of clowns such as Austin, Blinken, and the Euro bosses we have been hearing from, it is obvious they know they are lying to the world and next will attempt to cast blame in other directions.
As for Austin…what a disgusting ass-clown the man is. Someone of his military stature, sitting there and spewing bull shit to political leaders, and America…all while squirming in his seat like a five year old caught with cake on his face and hands.
Meanwhile, China has transacted in Yuan, the purchase of LNG from the UAE..the West has fallen but has not seen the press release yet stating so.
He should invite some Chinese actors first.
When a TV “comedy” actor becomes an accidental President and find himself caught in the middle of a fight between Superpowers, it takes more than a “sober mind” to realize that he is crashing down to the Reality. That’s what it looks like when he’ll find himself the “Golden parachute” would fail to open to take him to Miami or any other places containing one his mansions bought with blood money.
Failure of command. Yes indeed.
So what does joe citizen do about this? I know what a member of the military should do, but they are not.
You can’t blame them, Austin and Milley. After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, Russia military looked like a sock puppet. These guys are operating under the same intelligence. It may be 30-years old, according to these guys Russia never changes, and neither do the Russian people.
Putin has already said that the Ukraine and Russia are not Afghanistan. This isn’t just any proxy war. This one is going to follow the United States, Europe, NATO all the way home.
Don’t know what China expects to accomplish going to the Ukraine. China’s a genuine wild card.
I hope we get our assess kicked. “My country right kept right. My country made right.”
There is a possibility that China may provide peacekeepers along the DMZ after Russia has got the land back it wants and a ceasefire is signed with Ukraine. Having a large Chinese force in western Europe would freak out NATO, but it would establish a line in the sand that they would not want to cross. It would also provide the Chinese a terminal for their belt and road initiative. Just guessing, but for sure the Chinese are after something.
Eventually, you have to run out of sand, or you start sinking into it. You get swallowed up by sand. The ground shifts enough underneath your feet as it is. Eventually, you have to run out of lines, or you get all tied up in them.
The perfect example of what sand and lines can do to you is Germany. Six months ago, they had $20-billion dollars in critical civilian infrastructure blown up and they still don’t want to know who declared war on them.
From what I’ve been reading and hearing for years, is that all of Europe will fall under Russia’s sphere of influence displacing the US entirely. China will take control of the Far East Asian sphere and Iran, what encompasses the Middle East. Regions such as Africa and South and Central America will be “shared” regions with Brazil obviously having a very very big role in South America. In synthesis, the Anglophone Gringos will be kicked out from Southern hemisphere entirely. Interestingly, Argentina, which was an economic powerhouse a hundred years ago, is making a formal bid to join BRICS and is aligning itself with Brazil ever more so. Unfortunately for the Brits, very shortly they will have even to say goodbye to Las Malvinas, a vestige of their imperial past.
“Unfortunately for the Brits, very shortly they will have even to say goodbye to Las Malvinas, a vestige of their imperial past.” OK, the people living in the Falklands might be of British descent, plus, of course, some inter-marriage with Argentina, but at the last referendum the peoples did NOT want to come under the dominium of Argentina.
Are you suggesting that, against their will, they should be subservient to Argentina?
You are missing that the Falklands were a colonial conquest…that is far different than the Russian / Ukraine history.
All of the UK should be subservient, against their will, to those that they have been invading troughout centuries.
Are you suggesting that, against their will, they should be subservient to Argentina?
Sure, why not? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
What’s this business of a ‘referendum’ anyway? Was the OSCE there? Was it recognized by the UNSC? Must follow the rules-based order, dearie. Nothing else will do.
Actually a reply to Lou, who opined “You are missing that the Falklands were a colonial conquest”…
So was every single country in the western hemisphere. Under UN anti-colonial principles, ALL non-aboriginal persons in that hemisphere, of English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, etc. descent, should pack their bags and head back to Europe whence they came.
Peppe … I have been thinking about those possibilities for years now. I can see exactly that happening. As the West loses its colonial conquests and its power over those nations, Russia and China become the parents of the planet, the West will sit down and the table and be quiet.
Ya know…that would be funny as all get out to see Chinese peacekeepers in Ukraine. I would laugh myself silly thinking about the emotional ills this would cause Europe.
On the other hand, it may be a good possibility.
Well, Milosevic agreed to UN peacekeepers in Kosovo but was flatly turned down. Nothing but NATO troops would do, throughout Serbia proper and with immunity from any and all behavior, or less – bombs away.
So, why not apply the same standards to a Sino-Rus occupation of Ukraine, and if not – well, bombs away for a decade and a day, if need be.
reciprocity, rĕs″ə-prŏs′ĭ-tē, noun
A) A reciprocal condition or relationship.
B) A mutual or cooperative interchange of favors or privileges, especially the exchange of rights or privileges of trade between nations.
C) Reciprocal action or relation; free interchange; mutual responsiveness in act or effect: as, reciprocity of benefits or of feeling; reciprocity of influence.
Pick you poison. I say it’s all of the above. Life’s a bitch sometimes, ain’t it?
That’s too realistic. Bigger joke would be Chinese peackeepers after USA civil war, and elections under foreign supervision. The punchline is that those elections would be fair.
Could also put Prigozhin as Speaker of the House.????
After all, he is quite a colorful character… Inclusivity FIRST!
CNN needs a new chairman???? Medvedev is available!!!
Kadyrov instead of Kamala???
Austin and Milley probably believe that Wagner is using the tactics ( and weaponry) of General Bagration! Moscow will soon be on fire!
Smells like victory!
Austin was the one was asked after umpteen billion dollars, how many ‘free syrian army jihadis are ready to fight?” and uh…pause, admitted…”hum, ah……..uh, about 8, sir. (But I swear, they’re ready to go)”
speculating further…….
And why are there only 8, General?
Uh….not absolutely sure but I think the other 8000 in the program ran off to join ISIS.
ISIS! Are you sure, General?
Uh….well, it could be some of those joined al Qaeda. I’ll check on that, sir.
Well, ISIS I can understand. John Kerrry said they’re on our side but al Qaeda? Jeezus – are you sure it wasn’t al Nusra? That might be OK. Please get back to us on that.
Yes sir. Will do sir.
Ah yes, the Duvall character and the smell of napalm in the morning has
a tell like it is aura that is sorely needed by those wearing all the medals.
Judge Napolitano’s guest today Alastair Crooke, made a profound statement when Judge asked him how China was able to broker the peace that is rapidly spreading in the Middle East.
His simple reply- “The Americans had no role”
This took Judge by surprise- so much so he stopped the conversation to reflect on it.
How is this linked with Ukraine?
China clearly knows the villain in Ukraine.
China put out its position on peace in Ukraine knowing full well America will never permit peace in Ukraine.
China knows the only way Russia will have the peace and security it wants- is to completely destroy NATO forces in Ukraine and eliminate all American influence in Ukraine.
China and Russia both know America cannot be trusted to honor any agreement.
Anyone who continues to think Russia is going to stop at some point in Ukraine is only kidding themselves.
If there is to be a DMZ it will be along the Polish border.
Outstanding!
Thank you!
There is a quantity of tank related comments available online today. I think the following is probably true. Russia is deploying its most modern tanks in Ukraine and using them as tanks, whatever that might mean. Russia is also deploying its older tanks in Ukraine, but these are being used not as tanks, but as mobile artillery pieces.
On the other hand, tanks from The West seem to be in short supply. Leopard 1’s and Leopard 2’s, Abrams, either new or modified, and none in abundant supply. The Challenger tanks coming from the UK are said to be equipped with depleted uranium shells. This escalates the Ukrainian war onto a nuclear threshold. Sunak seems to be following in Trudeau’s footsteps, the footsteps of a fool.
Exactly!!
“Take that Putin! “
good job and good luck
it’s not easy to catch “war criminals”
they are slippery and fast.
see for example U$RAHEEL or €U: they are full of “war criminals” but none have ever been caught.
maybe they have the camouflage color…
Camo color: dollar green.
it is my understanding that the t50 series has lots of parts that are compatible with the t62 and t64 and that these are basically parts cars for the upgraded t62s and t64s. That said, a longer range rifled gun that can shoot on the move..
Rifled old school guns can fire both AP anti tank and HE anti personnel rounds very well, superb for direct fire, The Dushka on the turret will also be very useful, seems the Rooskies regard T55 as useful semi-mobile pill boxes for point defence. Time will tell but they are probably right.
The T-5x tanks have guns, but how good are their fire control systems against mobile targets? And do their troops have any training in shooting systems of that vintage? You could zero them in on a fixed location, but that pins the tank down and pillboxes are subject to enemy artillery.
I see T-5x tanks being used as mobile assault guns to support infantry against fixed targets, and to clear light vehicles out of cityscapes where access is channeled.
That ain’t nothin, nor is it desperate. Make use of everything is classic Musashi, the way of the carpenter.
Having said that, some ideas work better than others. We’ll see about this one.
Nope. Those three have three different guns (100mm rifled, 115mm smoothbore, and 125mm smoothbore). T-64 is the basis for T-72 and, consequentially, T-80 and T-90.
T 54/55s in Russian service mount a 100 mm gun (in Indian service they were upgraded with the T 62’s 115 mm gun) and are not particularly effective as artillery. One reason is that tank guns, unlike howitzers or self propelled artillery, can’t be elevated very far so range is strictly limited. However, as mobile pillboxes to fend off infantry/armoured personnel carrier attacks, they would be lethal.
If you look, you will find photos of Sherman tanks being used as artillery in the Korean War. The matter of lack of elevation of the guns was resolved by the simple expedient of constructing an earthen ramp and driving the tank onto it.
A tank doesn’t have to be a great artillery piece if all that is required of it is to add to the mass of artillery fire on a target.
My understanding is the T54s were also upgraded years ago with a new ventilation system and filters against radiation which would make sense against D/U shells. Simplicious i believe but I may be wrong.
The likely tactics of the Ukrainians will be raids with fast all-terrain vehicles and armored personnel carriers such as the Marder and M2 Bradley or the Stryker. The Russians’ best response is to saturate the front line with older guns such as the T-54/55 or the MT-12 Rapier in order to use the most effective anti-tank weapons primarily against the Ukraine’s MBTs. The AT-15 Springer and the Kornet against the Leopard 2 and the T-55 meanwhile takes care of the Marders accompanying him. This way you can secure fronts without having to place a T-90M everywhere.
We also wels naval guns on some of them.
The level of hysteria in western circles we could say is alarming but actually it proves who is in whose operational loop.
We are calm, just getting the job done.
good job and good luck
The fact that Russia has retained so much of their outdated armament speaks volumes about the Russian mind set. They didn’t sell it all for scrap and a quick profit. They knew the value was in the tanks themselves, and the ammo and tooling.Where are all the western obsolete arms of the past 70 years? They melted them down into autos.Oh those backward Russkies!
Yep. It’s not just about tanks and guns, but about ammo. Most of the fighting consists of firing big guns from a distance, and Russians want to keep up the pace, or increase it.
Modern Russian tanks have 125mm smoothbore cannon. T-62 have 115mm smoothbore, and T-54/55 have 100mm rifled gun. Russian storages probably have enormous ammounts of 100mm ammo that can not be used by any of the newer systems. Those tanks can be used as self propelled artillery without any upgrades. Just drive them in range of something that needs leveling to the ground, and keep on firing.
Finally looked it up. Here’s a quick primer (no pun) on smooth bore vs rifled.
https://www.tankroar.com/2020/07/22/smoothbored/?chrome=1
The question re the Raytheon Merchant who masquerades as the SecofDef is: how can any society where top government officials brazenly tell blatant lies expect to make progress?
How do people like Mr Austin sleep well at night having spent the day whoring themselves?
What do they tell their subordinates and their children about the virtues of honesty?
Agreed – the T55/54s are likely being used in Infantry support role ( maybe as bunker busters )
Question – does a T-55 have better armor than a Bradley IFV ? 😂
T-55 has 200mm of steel from the front. Bradley has composite armour consisting of thin aluminium and steel plates (and maybe something else, i’m not sure) that is supposed to withstand 30mm autocannon rounds. Without addon reactive armour both of them could be penetrated with any available anti tank weapon. They say that Bradleys burn nicely because of all the aluminium.
For comparison, M113 struggle with taking heavy machine gun fire, and gets obliterated with 30mm that Russians widely use. Basic RPG-7 rocket (PG-7VL from 1977) can go trough 500mm of steel.
“Russia is deploying its most modern tanks in Ukraine and using them as tanks, whatever that might mean. Russia is also deploying its older tanks in Ukraine, but these are being used not as tanks, but as mobile artillery pieces.”
💯
I wonder if Putin thinks that if NATO wants to send formally troops to Ukraine bring them in. That includes US military. The bodies getting off planes in London and
Baltimore will eventually destabilize both countries-i should say more destabilize. Is Biden that stupid? Gee, I would love to see Schiff and this obese NY attorney Bragg in uniform to get a taste of real combat in Ukraine.
I am sorry to say Austin seems out of his league answering those questions.
Does he have a cottage on Martha’s Vineyard near his mentor?
I’d think they lacked firepower and especially range to be useful as artillery. Rather, I suggest that T-54s & T-64s are being brought into theatre to support MP operations on liberated territory. They’d serve amply in that role.
That they’re being brought out now suggests that the Russians think they’ll be in use by the summer.
MT-12 Rapira (100mm anti-tank gun) is used by both sides as artillery. It is obsolete in its original role, but is perfectly capable of lobbing HE rounds at enemy positions. Same goes for S-60 (57mm anti-aircraft gun), that they mount on a back of a truck. Ukros have even been using 85-mm divisional gun D-44, a WWII vintage that goes well with all those Maxim machine guns. I don’t think that anyone on the recieving end of those guns would agree about lack of firepower.
I assume you meant T-62s, not T-64s. Heavily modernized T-62 can still be used in tank role if necessary, expecially if those Lepard 1s are delivered. It can easily wreck all those lightly armored vehicles that lack ATGMs. Bradley could one-shot it with TOW, if it manages to fire first.
The gun is itself capable enough, but as I understand it tanks cannot raise it beyond about 20deg elevation. That’s nowhere near enough to gain the range achieved by artillery unless it’s parked on a very steep hill.
Besides that, Russia has plenty of artillery pieces left. Why drag out tanks for the purpose?
Artillery, if using unguided shells is an area denial weapon and so the bigger the bang the fewer shells it has to fire and the more effective it is. A 100mm shell may be hell on the receiving end, but a 152mm shell is more than twice the hell.
Yep, tanks have very limited elevation. That’s why I mentioned Rapira anti-tank gun. It also has limited elevation, +20 degrees. In spite of that both sides are using it. Here is one, in the second half of this video. It is easily recognizable by thin and long barrel, and single piece ammunition (first gun in the video is Giatsint-B).
https://www.bitchute.com/video/TIn9NUukYt2A/
“Besides that, Russia has plenty of artillery pieces left. Why drag out tanks for the purpose?”
Probably because of ammo. Not even Russians have unlimited stock. Existing T-54 ammo can not be fired from anything more modern. Rapira is 100mm too, but smoothbore. If they want to make use of that old ammo, they have to use old guns.
Considering the fuss Prigozhin made about low ammo supply, they might just give those T-54s to him in order to shut him up. 🙂
Just saw this new video.
https://odysee.com/@Che_Guevara:f/IMG_20230401_193057_464:e
@just saying
If the Russians were really running short, there’s plenty of 152mm ammo across CSIS, China and good ol’ N. Korea they could have for the asking. N. Korea even offered to supply guns and crews along with the ammo. I don’t think the Russians would abandon their long held military doctrine before they’d exhausted all sources.
Not sure I follow your argument about the Rapira, S-60 and D-44. They’re all direct fire, short range weapons. Lethal enough of course, but they can’t be “used as artillery” in any normal sense of the term.
PS: Thanks for the video links. Unfortunately, I don’t have the bandwidth to use them.
My point is that those direct fire weapons are used in indirect fire mode (like “regular artillery”), and that drones have made them deadly in that role. I have seen numerous videos of it. High muzzle velocity makes their range no-so-short, in spite of flat trajectory. Wikipedia says that Rapira has range of 8,200m in indirect fire mode. That’s more than TOS-1A (6,000m), and comparable to some 120mm mortars. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MT-12
I have seen Rapira sniping poor guys covering in trenches. Incoming trajectory is flat-ish, and it took a few shots to hit the right spot, but those on the recieving end had no chance. They were pushing themselves into the ground knowing that the next shell is on its way. It’s horryfing. I have seen tanks in indirect fire mode, destroying firing positions in houses without recieving return fire. They can not fire back an ATGM at a tank they can not see. S-60 in indirect fire mode is more of a spray & pray, intended for harrasing the enemy. Still worth “bang for the buck”, since ammo is practically free.
I don’t think that Russians are running short of anything. I’m 100% sure that they keep a lot of good stuff to the side, for NATO (Poland is itching to get some). Why are they not importing more stuff, I can only guess. I would say that they have calculated that there is no need for that, for now. This is going to be a long war (I mean the one against NATO), and they are pacing themselves.
@just saying
Fair points. Let’s call them “medium range”. I had gotten a bit stuck at “artillery” meaning indirect fire at 15-25km range. Any gun, even a rifle can deliver indirect fire, and with guided shells such as Krasnopol the term “indirect fire” also blurs along with “area denial”.
I likewise don’t think Russia is running out of anything, but firing an average of (say) 30k shells per day means an astonishing 12m shells have been expended since the start of hostilities. That’s a very big number and bound to put a big dent in anybody’s inventory, not to mention the wear ‘n tear on the guns themselves.
They may well have been importing already from China and N. Korea. They share land borders with both, and it’s a coastal barge trip to either from Vladivostok. Both methods offer all but undetectable transfer. In any case, I’d expect the Russians will have made the appropriate arrangements to tap their allies’ inventories if/when NATO tries to push in.
Thanks for the conversation.
It was a pleasure.
P.S. Some rifles have indeed been used for indirect fire, long time ago. They had volley sights.
Austin was destroyed here, and rightfully so!
The evil leaders of the Empire of Lies hate Putin and Russian Christianity just like the Bolsheviks hated the Tsar and Russian Christianity. Look at the recent terrorist attack, the sacrificial death of Christian children (just like the murder of the Romanov family) by the left, an evil, deranged transgender terrorist. The Collective West is now filled with the spirit of antichrist, demonic outbreaks through pharmakeia and indoctrination.
Bishop Fulton Sheen said about 70 years ago in “Communism and America” that after Communism, Russia would become the apostle of Christianity to the rest of the world. He also said “Communism and the Family” in a radio address in 1947 that after trying to abolish the family for 20 years, Russia did a complete turnaround in 1935 and promoted the family in just about every way. Michael Hudson says that what we are seeing today is a conflict between two economic systems, industrial capitalism and financial capitalism, but it is also a conflict between paganism and various religions.
I remember that before WWI started, the US/UK media launched a severe anti-German PR campaign against the Reich. 20 Years later Germany was utterly destroyed in WWII after the Nazis lost their war of aggression against Russia, and was divided in the post-war era, and dismantled of its military strength which it despite reunification never regained.
Imagine, if Russia was as expansive as the Western media continue to publicly claim, what if they would launch some distance strikes on the US nuke bases in western Europe, then drive their BTGs all over the warmongering part of EU until they reach the atlantic seaside, who would be able to stop them?
But why should Russia do this? Would this help them so sell more natural gas to EU?
From time to time I ask myself whether the US strategy in Europe is properly considered and sustainable. I’m sorry but I must admit that I very doubt its rationality. Imagine, western Europe are the last allies the USA have on this planet. But instead of strengthenimg their allies, Europe is critically weakened and deindustrialised, while the USA starts aggressive action in far East Asia to put up pressure on “containing” China without any reason or rationality.
Have the USA gone nuts? It is not Russia, China or India who lost their energy or means of production, it is western Europe! So what are we supposed to do now, hunting and fishing and campfire? I can’t believ the mess these Neocons and their Think Tanks of Grand Delusion created, and I severely doubt their mental integrity, their professional capability and their intellectual sanity. They should resign and face the judicial consequences of their deeds. But all they are doing is yelling, insulting and bullying around and doubling down on their war cries. Someone should have them hospitalised or imprisoned, and their property removed to pay the damage they have inflicted!
Meanwhile the East is doing diplomacy and creates a global multipolar trading system of mutual benefit this world has never seen before and is in dire need to achieve to be able to feed its growing population. Wasting valuable ressources in useless wars for global hegemony is unsustainable and dangerous. With whom shall we trade once the war is over, if all the bridges are burned down? What can be gained by this utter nonsense? Trying to establish Sauron’s Empire of Evil, the total control of every single citizen and every aspect of society? Come on, don’t be silly.
We should behave, act civilized and find diplomatic solutions. The time of wars is over. Ain’t the West got the memo? Learn to respect each other and to live together in harmony.
Or go into full extinction mode. I’m serious.
See, that’s what you get for taking the red pill. 🙂
Best wishes from somewhere in one of the USA’s other “last allies.”
Great piece by Craig Murray on this.
“To react to China’s growing economic power by increasing Western military power is hopeless. It is harder to think of a more stupid example of lashing out in blind anger. It is like peeing on your carpet because the neighbours are too noisy.”
https://consortiumnews.com/2023/03/24/craig-murray-why-would-china-be-an-enemy/
All the more reason why these neocons need to be stopped and institutionalized. Maybe Tops should come out with collector trading cards for stupid politicians. It worked out financially for Van Gogh’s paintings and he just cut off his own ear. These creatures are a danger to not only the U.S. but to the entire world.
Who needs gas or diesel, when the EU wants to live on wind and son? And as the western weapons are far superior to anything in the world, the victory is for sure. So, we will win over Russia and will save the world from CO2.
Please don’t wake us up. We don’t want to realise that we are dreaming.
Given the choice between living in harmony and going into full extinction mode, the servants of satan currently running the collective west are in the process of choosing full extinction mode:
If all evidence of the Ukraine conflict thus far is anything to go by, then I`m afraid this war is going to end in a full-spectrum nuclear conflagration.
Well all the neocons are jewish, zelinskyy is jewish, BiBi nethanyaho has said he wanted EU weakened, america is lectured by BiBi and weakening themself, and Israel now can decimate the palistinians while the west is looking at Ukraina.
There is one winner here
The funny thing is that the Kurds did not see they were fighting for America, the Ukraine cant see they are fighting for the Americans and that you Americans cant see that you have been fighting all these wars for Israel.
Who is the real proxy???
I think that the Saudies just realised that they were waging a proxy war for Israel against Iran, with the support of the proxy weaponsmaker America.
And who owns the big 5 weapons-producers i America? Look and you see who is ruling us all.
The supply of DU shells from the UK will make that country guilty of the greatest crime against humanity ever recorded. They are going to poison large tracts of the most fertile land on earth, the famous black soil, chernozem. They are going to take millions of tonnes of wheat and other crops off the food market, or more likely make those millions of tonnes of wheat which will naturally be sold to poorer nations toxic, and result in long term health issues for the populations of these countries. This is the most vicious, evil thing ever to be done by these insane imperialists.
As a citizen of a former British colony, I thought I could not be shocked at their behaviour. But this…is monstrous.
I have come to the conclusion that DU, quite separately from its disputed radiological properties, is indisputably a toxic heavy metal. A toxin is a poison.
DU is almost certainly a prohibited “poison or poisoned weapon” under Article 23 of the 1907 Hague Convention IV.
Its use is almost certainly a war crime, however, this has not yet been adjudicated, therefore political and legal weaseling to obscure the issue.
“The greatest crime against humanity ever recorded”? Please. The United States and NATO employed depleted uranium both in Serbia, as well as in Iraq. In the latter case literally for a period not of days, weeks or months, but years. In passing, the siege of Fallujah comes to mind.
As for the greatest crime ever recorded, maybe try the German extermination of the Jews; or Operation Barbarossa; or the Turkish genocide against the Armenians, or…the list is obviously endless, the choice is yours.
” …the German extermination of the Jews”
Ah, the eternal victims with their exclusive right to victim hood strikes again.
They were exterminated so well that official census shows more, not less, of them post WWII
Being decades too young to witness the build up to WW2 and why the situation was so misjudged by so many. I now get to witness first hand the whole process.
At the end of WW2 the United States dominated the world like a colossus. Most of the industrial world was a smoking ruin leaving one player left standing. Sure a lot of young Americans died but the homeland was untouched and the economy was supreme. The US was 50% of the global economy.
Germany with few resources in the 1930’s was aiming for a thousand year Reich, surely the US would last forever.
Our leaders live in gilded palaces, far from the consequences of their policies. They are immune to the travails of the ordinary man. They are supermen immune to the laws of man and god.
I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
Percy Bysshe Shelley
My updated rendition of Shelley’s Ozymandius
Cozy, Scandalous
I met a refugee from Gaza Strip,
Who spoke to me with empty, staring eyes
Dumb words whose depth of pain I could not grip
With all the helping hands the world denies
While lapping up the lurid lies that slip
And roll so greasy off the practiced tongue
Of Zionists whose caged and wounded prey
Are told to flee and leave their dying young
To weep beside the corpses of their old
In darkened shattered former homes where they
Cannot refute the garbage we’ve been told
By glib Israeli liars trained to spread
A veil of darkness over crimes they’ve sold
As “Peaceful Co-Existence” — with the dead.

Personally, I trust the Chinese as far as I can throw them. I find it very sad that we have forced Russia into an alliance with a regime that I find abhorrent.
The current gang that is running the West needs to be defeated. Yet we the people are unable to do so
Whilst the West may be weak abroad, they are perhaps stronger than they have ever been on the domestic front, thanks to tech.
We are entering possibly a very dark time for us here, and I weep for the future my beautiful baby is going to grow up in.
“Personally, I trust the Chinese as far as I can throw them.”
You speak from some personal experience of “the Chinese”? Please do share.
It will be most interesting to hear why “we the people” of the Collective West should advise others, be it Russia or countries in Africa and Asia, not to trust China. They pretty much make everything we use, and hardly ever invade or regime change or sanction anyone.
There are dark times ahead indeed. The West has been sowing the wind far too long at the expense of everyone else. It is near time to reap the whirlwind.
“The West has been sowing the wind far too long at the expense of everyone else. It is near time to reap the whirlwind.”
Sadly, true.
I suspect most of those in the West are as oblivious as the folk in Hiroshima were at about 7am on 6 Aug 45.
As always, ordinary, decent people suffer for the hubris of the leaders.
“Make no mistake that this is not about removing the US as the boss and replacing it with China, but about effectively checking the US from bullying smaller, weaker states, and thereby ushering in a new international order with primacy on peaceful development and political correctness that overrides all ideological differences.”
What haunts the West is “if Russia alone is already so difficult to deal with, what if China really starts to provide military aid to Russia, using its massive industrial capabilities for the Russian military? ”
https://www.indianpunchline.com/
It has been talked about quiet often that Xi met with Putin to deliver military aid. It may be plausible when considering the fact that the Chinese have changed caliber on their new artillery guns leaving China with warehouses full of abandoned artillery shells similar in caliber to Russian guns.
However, there could be more to this exchange of support. The Chinese need a capability against US aircraft carriers and Russia can supply the hypersonic Zircon and Kinzhal relegating the aircraft carrier to the bin of History along with battleships. Would the range of the Zircon fired from a Sub negate the range of its aircraft? Are any aircraft carriers safe anywhere?
Good comments, and I agree. China suffered British colonialism for years, many years. I do not consider China to be a threat, but they are working in the same vein as Russia to quell the last of the colonial way of life and the power behind that colonialism.
What the Chinese Empire suffered from the Europeans, was not colonialism, but defeat in imperialist competition due to its own decadence and corruption.
The was no European colonial settlement in Imperial China, unlike Africa and elsewhere.
The foreign European/American concessions in were tiny in proportion to Chinese cities, never mind its total area . Chinese sovereignty over these areas was never questioned.
The Russians seized territory from China. As a neighbouring country, this was no different than the seizure of lands and cities following wars in Europe.
The only country to engage in outright colonialism in China, i.e. the settlement of large numbers of colonial settlers, was Japan.
UK took HK for its value as a naval base, it never made any effort to settle British there, the majority of it was leased, and Chinese sovereignty over the leased portion was never questioned.
“Chinese sovereignty of the lands was never questioned”
Only nominally. Practically, they were all conquered lands for the European countries. That’s why China calls that period the Century of Humiliation.
Russia also captured Chinese lands but later gave them back and made peace with China.
I don’t recall the agreement, but there’s a deal which was struck in the ’90s in which Russia and China solved all their previous border disputes.
@Biggus Dickus
The areas “occupied” by Western Powers, i.e., the concessions, were tiny.
They were not permanent settlements for mass migration from the home country, therefore they were not “colonial” outposts.
The concessions were demanded because Imperial China, in its decadence and corruption and torn by civil war (Taiping Rebellion, etc.), was incapable of enforcing the law and ensuring security.
In the 19th century, Imperial China was a basket case, far and away the weakest of the Imperial Powers.
Yes, they were humiliated. Not because of colonialism, that’s just Communist propaganda, but because their corrupt, rigid, ossified political and military structures were incapable of adaption.
In the 20th century after the fall of Imperial China and its devolution into warlordism, Japan launched its war of conquest in China and opened Manchuria for Japanese settlement. That was classic colonialism, but the Western Powers did nothing like that in China.
Losing wars doesn’t make a country a victim of colonialism. But when the victor decides to displace the natives and settle its own people in the loser’s country, that’s colonialism. And only Japan did that in China, in the 20th century.
For all their many sins, the Western Powers are/were not guilty of colonialism in China. What they did to China, Imperial competition with another Imperial Power, is nothing compared to where they truly did impose colonialism.
And in case you would like to say I know nothing about Western colonialism, I’m Irish.
Ireland, England’s first, longest occupied and now last colony.
Murderers typically don’t trust those who abide by the law.
I trust the Chinese leadership to do what they think is best for the Chinese people, and for the time being at least (this generation, say) that is peaceful coexistence and trade. That might change in generations to come, but is a good sign for us in the ‘West’. Unfortunately, my trust in Western leaders has been severely shaken in recent years in that I never before imagined just how widespread and organized the moral corruption had become.
…. a regime that I find abhorrent……
You clearly haven‘t spent any extended time in Mainland China
Oh, but I have, going back almost 35 years off and on! I have supervised teams there and collaborated with universities and industries.
You have been falling for the Uighurs genocide / stealing organs for transplant propaganda.
Wake up. The “regime” in China (as you call it) is far less abhorrent and toxic than any in American in the last 120+ years.
Elial,
It is hard to get folks to understand what you just pointed out, even former Sec. of State had to be schooled so as to understand what the US is really up to:
Leaked memo schooled Tillerson on human rights
“…the U.S. should use human rights as a club against its adversaries, like Iran, China and North Korea, while giving a pass to repressive allies like the Philippines, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.”
“Allies should be treated differently—and better—than adversaries. Otherwise, we end up with more adversaries, and fewer allies,” argued the memo, written by Tillerson’s influential policy aide, Brian Hook.
Hook’s memo “tells Tillerson that we should do exactly what Russian and Chinese propaganda says we do—use human rights as a weapon to beat up our adversaries while letting ourselves and our allies off the hook,”
“For this reason,” Hook continues, “we should consider human rights as an important issue in regard to U.S. relations with China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. And this is not only because of moral concern for practices inside those countries. It is also because pressing those regimes on human rights is one way to impose costs, apply counter-pressure, and regain the initiative from them strategically.”

Everything in the corporate / NGO / NED media should be suspected, sad to say.
Austin, Blinken and Rainbow Milley are a joke. Sullivan and Nuland are demons.
100% agree. These people are an embarrassment and a liability.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6195853/Credit-Suisse-boss-dresses-woman-slammed-appearing-100-women-list.html

OT. The guy known as Weeb on Youtube claimed the Russians took some Ukrainians prisoner and were told their was an underground tunnel from Chasov Yar to Bakhmut which was supplying the latter with men, arms and ammo.
Interesting if true?
If the Ukrainians are winning then why are they continually begging for more money, tanks, ammo, planes, NATO involvement, Hello magazine photo shoots etc. Does Zelenski also beg for more cocaine from the west too so he can continue the grift high as a kite without feeling shame and embarrassment?
“Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley continue to embrace fantasy instead of demanding objective, empirical facts”
Sounds like the left/woke mind virus has merged with the neocon wet dream syndrome.
I’m trying to understand precisely when and how so many people lost their ever lovin’ minds. It’s like we’ve suddenly dropped into a Twilight Zone episode.
I feel like I’m in a nightmare watching us turn into Jonestown or Waco. When we’ve reached a point where the insane idea that men can be women and parents are mutilating their own children, just how much further can we sink?
You’d better believe that as objective reality and the utter insanity we’re witnessing continue to diverge, we’ll reach a point where the fanatics are unable to deal with the cognitive dissonance and they’re going to take everyone down with them. This is a total cult mindset we’re dealing with here. They cannot repudiate their beliefs without tearing their psyches to pieces.
May God help us all, because we’ve opened the doorway to hell.
I think we (Europa) lost it when we attacked Iraq, based on lies. There was a partial collapse in western values. Many countries stayed out, Canada, France, Norway, Sweeden , Finland. Then came Libya, Norway and France joined the ranks. Now Sweeden and Finland has joined the gang and it is nearly a total collapse. Only Tyrkie, Hungary and Serbia and holding back. Give the Evil Empire another 10 years of meddeling in other countries politics: they to will join and we are ready for the final solution: China.
You lost it when you destroyed Yugoslavia, a country in Europe (unlike Iraq).
Do not omit Libya from the war mongers list.
re: “I’m trying to understand precisely when and how so many people lost their ever lovin’ minds.”
I had a very minor epiphany some days ago. It went something like this:
the milgram experiment (1961) showed that between 61% and 66% of a random group will unfailingly “do as they are told”, even if the outcome is “existential” to the perceived victim.
this under only two preconditions:
1) the orders are given by “figures of authority”, preferably wearing lab coats (“scientists”) or some other uniform denoting “trustworthiness”.
2) this “authority” takes “full responsibility” for the actions of the majority: “the vaccines are safe and effective”.
in short, the same two-thirds of the general population will always and without fail comply. the “covid-19 experiment” merely shows that these rules apply even when the harm is inflicted to oneself, instead of others!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment
The USA will continue to commit war crimes and acs of State terrorism until the day it is finally and firmly held to account.
That it wasn’t held to account in the past accounts for its present conduct based on the shameless lies of its highest officials.
Americans need to know their history.

Lloyd Austin is a sales rep for Raytheon.
Let me ask you a stupid question: What kind of tank is that (not the one above, but the one in the picture of the post list)?
It is not a T-72, I know the turret, a T-80 probably not either, maybe a “naked” T-90?
https://sonar21.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/T-72-Tank.jpg
It is T-72. Czech T-72 Scarab, to be more exact.

Concerning the T54/55 tanks, Andrey Filatov Russian war correspondent in Syria, 7 or 8 years ago, made very good reports there. We see the Syrian army effectively using this tank as mobile artillery or fire support.

This interview should run on CNN and other major networks, the time has come for those of common sense to act before it’s too late, there can be no winner in another global war, only losers galore both east and wets.
It occurs to me that the older tanks had less ground pressure and so are better in the mud. That was a decided advantage for the Russians in WW2.
“The promised Ukraine offensive continues to be postponed.”
Real offensives aren’t advertised. Until they’re well underway.
As I watch clips of this administration’s actors I expect it to suddenly morph into an Allstate mayhem commercial with Dean Winters making an appearance.
Larry: “You’ve got an addiction to invade other countries”.
Just brilliant.
Time for rehab: “My name is USA, and I’m an invader.”
I saw and enjoyed this interview very much. I have never seen the state of the power system in Washington so bad and incompetent. The world seems to be witnessing a revolt by several states and nations against the USA and the dollar. Hence, my question: what good will the American military bases scattered around the world be if the US is unable to supervise and gain hegemony in the world? The money spent on these bases could serve to improve a society itself destroyed by so many poorly conducted policies.
Even Russian planners are acknowledging that the SMO will be a “long” conflict. In my mind that means they are being realistic about the amount of time it will take to FULLY achieve their stated SMO objectives…in reality the SMO started in 2014 (or earlier). If it took several years to get to this point it will likely take several years to normalize.
Nonetheless, 2023 has the potential to be decisive at the military operational level. IF the UAF launches a Spring Offensive and IF that offensive is beaten back or destroyed (which I believe it would be) then the UAF will be for all pretenses defeated. In the alternate, IF there is no UAF Spring Offensive the current “long grind” Russian strategy is effectively depleting NATOs’ ability to sustain future military operations for the Ukraine or itself…either way Russia comes out pretty good…and time appears to be on their side.
And…let’s not forget the US 2024 election cycle will be upon us soon and then all bets are off…Zelensky knows this: “Zelensky admits fear of political shift in US”
https://www.rt.com/russia/573785-zelensky-ukraine-aid-washington/
But we can all sleep peacefully knowing that the US Vice President is advocating LGBTQ rights in Ghana: https://www.rt.com/africa/573831-ghana-undemocratic-us-meddling/
What Mother F’n planet do these people live on???
You’re not wrong, but a neocon would read the situation – old tanks, etc – as meaning Russia is being depleted by the long grind as well; which is exactly what the neocons wanted to do in Ukraine. The neocons aren’t wrong on that particular point either.
Assume the end game is a NATO attack against Russia with the goal of seizing Crimea. Every destroyed T-90, every 100,000 fired Russian artillery round, every dead Russian soldier, etc is that much less than NATO needs to face. It doesn’t matter that Ukraine is losing more. What’s happening to Ukrainian forces is the wrong focus.
And the Ukrainians can inflict a lot of damage on Russia even as they lose. There is always guerrilla warfare once another 200,000 or so Ukrainian troops are killed. There can be precision missile attacks against critical Russian military infrastructure before the US led NATO attack.
IMO, the idea that the US won’t have enough ordnance in reserve is highly questionable. IMO, the US will hold back enough that it can make one massive shock and awe strike followed by ground forces making their move. If that attack falters, then more and bigger missiles would be launched. Anyone who doesn’t think the neocons are working themselves up to execute such a plan, doesn’t understand the neocons.
Good feedback Eric…much appreciated!
I don’t think all of NATO would be in for a force on force fight with Russia…the UK, Poland and the Baltics for sure but the rest are iffy IMO.
The US populace is fine (for now) with a proxy war against Russia but similarly not sure about an actual shooting war…casualties on both sides would be in the multiple thousands and the average American does not have the stomach for that–but the necons do and that’s the real danger.
Ammo…the US Navy and Air Force are still fully armed and yeah they can inflict a tremendous amount of pain. They would also suffer high losses inflicting that pain.
The last thing Putin wants to do is fight a counter-insurgency in the Ukraine…I am sure his staff are puzzling out other courses of action now.
The Chinese 12-point plan is looking better and better.
VR,
Totally agree with all of that as well, but…….
As for the opinion of our country’s citizens, I’m pretty sure the neocons don’t care. That said, they may wait until after the 2024 election. So they only need Ukraine to hold out – even by high intensity guerrilla warfare – until Nov 2024. So another year and half. That doesn’t appear unreasonable given the pace at which the Russians are prosecuting the war.
Then there’s always some false flag event – or perhaps real event – to rally the citizens behind what the neocons would assure them is certain victory of the depleted, incompetent and thoroughly evil Russians. In that case they may jump off their mad attack prior to the elections so Biden can be seen as the indispensable tough war time leader. Feels ludicrous to type those words, but the perception masters are pretty full of themselves and probably think they’ve got that assignment under control – or maybe it helps get rid of Biden and the bring in someone younger and full of autocratic resolve to lead us through the global war/crisis – with all necessary society re-structuring. It’s all upside for the neocons. They can twist any development to their advantage. Covid proved to them that most people will simply do as they’re told.
I’ve noticed the US military slowly but surely sending various units to Poland. I saw a blip this week – I think it was in out local paper – about a USMC wing unit that flies Harriers arriving in Poland. Something is definitely afoot.
I’ve also heard rumors about USMC amphibious training tempo increases. Wondering if the neocons envision emulating McArthur at Inchon, in Crimea.
Yes, it would probably be a disaster. Milley is not MacArthur. But disaster never deterred people like neocons from forging ahead with their crazy plans.
Eric we are of one mind…
Ukrainian guerrilla warfare…Putin’s worst nightmare
False flag…I’d be surprised if there isn’t one…the US always contrives a causus belli before committing military forces
The US arms build up in Poland and elsewhere reminds me of the arms build up before Desert Storm circa 1990-1991…it’s unlikely just for show
A “wartime” Biden second term…it would be a complete shit/clown show…could very well happen nonetheless…thousands of dead and wounded US/NATO military personnel would be the price
Hold on tight…
Well it not only in our countries there are evil politicians. Ukraina has their own Ms. Nuland:
Benefits for veterans will be scrapped in Ukraine- suggestion of a member of Parliment from Zelinskys own Party:
What benefits for the military are planned to cancel Ms. Tretyakov: suggest:
According to Article 12 of the Law “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, the military is provided with the following benefits:
– free receipt of medicines, medicines, immunobiological preparations and medical devices according to doctors’ prescriptions;
– priority free dental prosthetics;
– free provision of sanatorium-and-spa treatment or receiving compensation for the cost of independent sanatorium-and-spa treatment. The procedure for granting vouchers, the amount and procedure for paying compensation for the cost of independent sanatorium-and-spa treatment are determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
– 75% discount of payment for the use of housing within the norms stipulated by the current legislation (21 sq. m of the total area of housing for each person permanently residing in the house and entitled to a discount of payment, and an additional 10.5 sq. m per family);
– 75% discount of payment for the use of utilities and liquefied cylinder gas for domestic needs within the average consumption rates;
– 75% discount on the cost of fuel, including liquid, within the limits established for sale to the public, for persons living in houses that do not have central heating;
free travel by all types of urban passenger transport, public road transport in rural areas, as well as rail and water transport of suburban traffic and buses of suburban and intercity routes, including within the district, region and interregional, regardless of distance and place of residence;
– annual medical examination and medical examination with the involvement of the necessary specialists;
– payment of temporary disability benefits in the amount of 100% of the average salary, regardless of work experience;
– free travel once every two years by rail, water, air or intercity road transport, regardless of the availability of railway communication, or travel once a year by these modes of transport with a 50% discount.
In addition, Tretyakova and the company are pushing through a law that deprives people with disabilities of rights and benefits. This is despite the fact that due to the war, the number of people with disabilities has increased significantly, and for the most part these are just veterans…
People immediately recalled previous scandals and misanthropic statements by Ms. Tretyakova: about children of “low quality” in families receiving social assistance, and about the unemployed who need to be castrated so as not to give birth to new losers, and about joy over the death of a young fellow deputy…

“Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to lose men, equipment and territory across the Donbas.”
But but but…
According to today’s NYT:
Ukrainians Directing Soldiers From a Hidden Hub See Bakhmut Going Their Way
Colonel Mezhevikin said that he was confident that Ukrainian forces could keep holding the city and push Russian troops back farther. If the Ukrainians hold their recent gains, the battles of the last month at Bakhmut could prove a turning point in Ukraine’s defense against Russia, not only stalling the latest Russian offensive but also in setting themselves up to deliver a knockout blow, he said.

It’s interesting reading the NYT piece, which accepts as fact whatever the Ukrainians tell them while once again saying that Bakhmut is of “limited strategic significance”.
It’s notable that the entire piece, like everything in the western press, is not the product of a reporter on the ground giving an independent assessment of the situation but a lazy regurgitation of official pronouncements disguised as journalism.
We’ve gone from real journalists moving about freely in a war zone (Vietnam) to tightly controlled “embedded reporters” (Iraq) to no reporters whatsoever (Ukraine).

In Ukraine, everyone who refused to die for the Zelensky regime will be stigmatized
They want to publish personal data of residents of Ukraine who evaded the draft in the public domain as “traitors to the Motherland”
In Kyiv, they no longer know how to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with “cannon fodder.” Capturing and corralling conscripts liable for military service by detachments and patrols of military enlistment officers together with the police, raids on markets and nightclubs, all sorts of tricks like inviting girls with low social responsibility to rendezvous, rounding up cemeteries during funerals, etc. do not give the required percentage of mobilized. And all this is under the mute talk that there is no increase in mobilization or additional recruitment and there will not be. Even the promise of the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada and the representative of President Zelensky in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Fyodor Venislavsky to switch from offline delivery of subpoenas against signature to online delivery of subpoenas through instant messengers and social networks did not help. Venislavsky, by the way, after information about virtual agendas was leaked to the media and TG channels,
But Fedor Vladimirovich is an enterprising and active person. If he takes on some business, he will not leave it until he achieves his goal, or until someone dies – a donkey or a padishah.
As informed Ukrainian TG channels write today, Venislavsky’s new initiative was the creation of an “open register of deviators” (uhilyantiv – on the move) – a kind of “Peacemaker” on “minimal wages”. And he is now working on a bill on such a register, tirelessly and not straightening his back.
It is assumed that “if a person liable for military service was informed about the need to appear at the military registration and enlistment office, but did not come, for example, twice in a row, then the TCC will have the right to publish his personal data – name, surname, and other identification signs.”
“If a person was properly informed, for example, through the same messenger and confirmed that he received a call to the territorial center, but did not appear, this means that he deliberately does not fulfill his constitutional duty,” Venislavsky commented on his initiative.
This register will be open to everyone, and will serve as such a “board of shame” in order to put public pressure on the deviators. But information from this analogue of “Peacemaker” military enlistment offices, that is, these territorial recruitment centers, will be removed only after the deviators have fulfilled their duties and come to be mobilized.
The right word, this whole idea looks more than just dubious. In conditions when hundreds of thousands of conscripts are quietly hanging around in European countries, trying to influence the conscience of those who could not leave, but do not want to give their lives for Zelensky, is a completely empty business. Moreover, no additional sanctions are provided for the persons involved in this register.
By the way, will the children of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Danilov, other high-ranking officials and ministers Zelensky, who spend their lives in European and American resorts, get there?
PS In the meantime, Venislavsky is writing a new bill, McDonald’s has been opened in Odessa. And – of course – instantly lined up queues of thirsty burgers were immediately subjected to a total cleansing by Ukrainian military enlistment officers along with police patrols. It’s a sin to miss this.
Austin is NOT “stupid”, the “organism” is a wholly-owned coward, eager to possibly protect his family members but certainly investments in the MIC.
Austin “stupid” NOT, “sycopant” YES. The “organism” is a wholly-owned coward, eager to [possibly] protect his family members but certainly investments in the MIC.
If my comments are being censored, at least have enough personal dignity/honor to notify such. Otherwise no further regard for Larry Johnson.
Both of them.
Relax Jai, sometimes there is a delay in comments appearing.
It would have been better to start the video at the beginning rather than at the 3:08 mark.
Austin, lying to Congress under oath.
Frankly, he’s playing the race card. Can’t be criticized because of the color of his skin. There’s that elephant in the room; just saying.
Anyway, what is the point of the military lying on this scale about Ukraine, about Russia, about China? Do they really think they can change the reality of the world that way? And this madness is so so widespread – mass delusion, perhaps. But what causes that???
Only thing that makes sense to me is they 1) know they will not be held accountable and 2) they profit enormously from the waste. There are other goals – maybe – for the likes of Nuland and Blinken; they like the pain and suffering. But, hey, I’m all ears for some alternative sense-making!
Terrific program.
1. Despite spending $ trillions of American taxpayer money on the military, the Pentagon has not ‘won’ a war since 1945.
2. US troops are illegally occupying circa 1/3 of Syrian territory and stealing their oil. Present Donald Trump was very blunt about why US troops are in Syria. See-

3. Joe Biden and the ruling elite he represents are overseeing the accelerating decline of late-stage US capitalism that has progressed to the point where the very survival of the American empire is contingent upon the endless money printing to continue propping up [still] insolvent banks (latest being / and Signature banks), financial markets, the Pentagon and strategic debacles in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Eastern Europe/Ukraine. This can only continue so long as the dollar maintains its status as world reserve currency.
4. As Larry Johnson pointed out, we cannot supply Ukraine with a sufficient number of 155 mm artillery shells in their war against Russia, but the American public is supposed to believe the US Navy (which is still a formidable power) is capable of defeating a peer competitor [in reality, the Pentagon will be confronting China, Russia, Iran and DPRK (N. Korea), ¾ of these countries have nuclear weapons].
Someone on this thread may have discussed this point, but the Russians are bringing out their older stock of tanks to use as artillery. They have enormous amounts of shells for these older, large caliber tanks that can be positioned on the front to support assault troops. They will not be used for mobile combat – tank to tank fighting. They may be deployed in urban positions, but will moire than likely be deployed as easily maneuvered artillery. I find this move to be somewhat ingenious and in keeping with how Russia fights combined arms conflicts. This is not weakness, it’s strength in numbers and firepower.
Nobody would argue with the proposition that the Biden’s have deep financial ties with Ukraine, Ukrainian oligarchs and Ukrainian Government.
As the “ First Family” in the US, it must follow that there are legions of American “businessmen” hanging on Biden’s coat tails for a piece of the pie. Vast numbers of the financial hyenas that chase the dollars that Biden throws to his followers occupy positions in Government. Money buys politicians in Europe too.
Is the driving force behind the Ukraine war simply a network of corruption embedded in Western politics?
Where are the professional journalists when you need them?
Where are the International Police? (Rhetorical questions).
THIS is totally unrelated but i think people need to know this.
this is something everyone needs to know about since if yu are reasonably healthy the aveage person is worth far more dead than alive.

this is total hyproxisy in my opininion; since the corrupt us medical system has been doing the below for profit for yrs

i should added have read reports the same is happening to wounded ukraine soldiers and children whose organs are harvested and then sold on the black market.

@Oracle, I do not believe in mass delusion. It is a gambler´s risk assessment. For now the risk to be caught lying appeared lower than the risk to offend powerful vested interests who make a killing in Ukraine. Tomorrow that assessment might turn out differently and the explanation will easily be at hand- things “simply have changed”.
Neocons continue to scam and trap the American public on the 110th floor.
Is there anything to the claim that T-54/T-55 are better equipped to fight on a radioactive contaminated battlefield than more modern tanks ?
Nope. T-54/T-55 is built on WWII technology. Those things came later.
Whatever happened to the proposal by Rep. Joe Wilson to erect a statue in Washington in honor of Zelensky? It is more likely that Zelensky will be hanged by his feet in a Kiev public square. The slaughter in Bakhmut is astounding and it is being ignored and covered up by US leaders and their government supported media. By the way, whatever happened to the once-popular chorus of “America, love it or leave it?”
Is PCR reasonably close to any logic as he claims, or suggests the reason for the ‘slow’ advance and very restricted use of military resources in #404 is due to Moscow preparing for an inevitable nuclear war with the Exceptionalistan? Implying of course that if full strength were employd today, a nuclear reaction would find them unprepared? objections anyone?
It makes sense for Russia to employ T-54s. Newer heavier tanks burn much more fuel and are larger so difficult to maneuver in city streets. Moreover, the blast from their 125mm guns will knock out nearby infantrymen, so they must remain far behind the tank. The T-54 with a 100mm gun is less a problem, and gun size is not as important when firing at buildings and bunkers.
And why risk valuable modern tanks for basic street fighting support? Especially if Russia has huge albeit old stockpiles of 100mm ammo. Use the T-72s and T-90s for the long-range battles against other tanks. The T-54 has about the same armor as the American Bradley IFVs we are shipping there, and are expendable.
There have been a lot of comments in the more than 400 days since February 24, 2022. Let’s see things differently, namely: the West’s desire to divide and confiscate Russia’s resources, the conquest and expansion of NATO and the EU in Eastern Europe without fire a bullet but by corrupting the political class and violating the sovereignty of the states, the intention not to stop and incorporate Ukraine and Georgia, the eight years that followed the Maidan, the brutal intervention of the AFU in Donbas and many others that they filled Putin’s glass, they made it so that in December 2021, through the letter sent, Russia would demand the withdrawal of NATO from Eastern Europe until the alignment of 1997. This is Russia’s objective! And if in the comments and analyzes from the period that passed from February 24, 2022, the vast majority tried to accredit the idea that the Russians will stop after stabilizing the borders of the four regions included in the FR, or that they will reach the Dnieper, that they will Kiev or even all of Ukraine, but they don’t take into account that Russia, once it has established its objective that NATO withdraw on the alignment of 1997, all actions until the objective is fulfilled are only intermediate stages.
