Let me explain why I have spent so much effort on highlighting the commentary and analysis of retired U.S. Generals and some of their foreign counterparts, like Mick Ryan — they are engaged in a massive propaganda campaign designed to mislead the Western public about the true state of the war in Ukraine. They insist that Ukraine is winning, that Russia is losing and that the only prescription for Ukraine’s continued “success” is to pour more money and weapons into the maelstrom consuming Ukraine. This is not a disagreement over what is the best flavor of ice cream. The citizens of the United States and Europe have a right to be properly informed about their resources that are being recklessly expended in Ukraine and that there is no path for victory for Ukraine because Ukraine lacks the material resources, the trained manpower and the weapons required to match up against Russia. Even if Ukraine was endowed suddenly with three fighter wings (that’s about 180 combat planes), these would not be enough to penetrate and destroy Russia’s echeloned defenses.
Take a hard look at this map. The green shows how far Ukrainian forces have advanced over the last three months of their counter offensive. This minuscule “progress” has cost Ukraine an enormous toll in casualties and equipment, such as tanks and armored personnel carriers. Skeptics in the West want to dismiss this as Russian propaganda. Okay. The please show me the reports from Western war correspondents who are on the ground reporting from Topmak or Melitopol. Those do not exist. How about a video or two of triumphant Ukrainian fighters standing atop the wreckage of the first line of the Surovikin defense? Ukraine and its NATO allies would be giddy with joy if they could show such images.
If you want to gauge the desperation of the Ukrainian situation, just read this interview with Polish volunteer who just returned to Poland from the front:
Polish volunteer Slawomir Wysocki traveled to Ukraine, returned home and in an interview for the media told what is really happening with the counter-offensive, which is so publicized by the Ukrainian authorities.

If Ukraine was vanquishing Russian forces do you think that Zelenksy would be pressuring European nations, such as Germany, to round up military-aged Ukrainian refugees to send them back to Ukraine? According to the German paper, Bild:

Western pundits need to pay attention to what Putin and his Generals have said about the purpose of this “special military operation” — demilitarize and de-nazify Ukraine. This was not some idle political talking point. While Russia’s lack of big movement of massed forces frustrates many Western arm chair generals, Russia appears quite content to continue the systematic destruction of Ukraine’s ground, air and sea forces. Time favors Russia. But not Ukraine. Each passing day brings Ukraine closer to the precipice of disaster.

Hate to point the obvious: the Russian army, by all accounts, has annihilated anywhere from 200,000 KIA + 300,000 WIA to 500,000 KIA + 500,000 WIA (estimates vary) over the last 500 days.

Nuland can only escalate so long as there are Ukrainians to round up. Poland is hopefully beginning to understand it will meet the same fate if it attempts to enter western Ukraine or Belarus. If they enter Belarus, it will be a much swifter pain, one that they will not soon forget.
The USA has its own political and economic (debt, high interest rates, inflation & recession) issues that may make the war in Ukraine for the US about the money. How much more will be spent there that is. The USA is staring at another possibility of government shutdown.

I’ve repeatedly asked myself why the soldiers in the Ukrainian Army are so suicidal, and I’ve finally deduced that they have no choice at all.

In both cases heavily armed goons were/are available to kill them if they refused to move out.
The Russians are truly in a box with this war, for the only thing I can see ending it is the effective de-Nazification of Ukraine. With the backing of NATO, this is not going to be easy.
Nothing short of the destruction of the ability of the Ukraine Nazis to continue fighting will suffice.
Problem is, Biden & Company are running out of ordinary weapons. Thus I expect NATO to push expanded terrorism as well as stealthy intervention like with Estonia’s (likely) recent gambit with the drone attack on a Russian airfield. And there will be a growing temptation to set off a few nukes in an out-of-the-way place, if for no other reason than to see if they can get away with it.
At last, an admission that we are being fed deliberate lies, not a bafflingly idiot optimistic view of this offensive.
Once that is acknowledged, appropriate action against these wrongdoers can be considered. Oaths are being broken here, other people’s money being applied under false pretences.
A reckoning is coming.
If someone is not clear about the data from the map posted by Larry. The Ukrainians themselves say too optimistically that they returned 248 square kilometers in the “counter-offensive”. The Russians held and still hold about 125,000 square kilometers. So, the Ukrainians “liberated” 0.2% of the territory. Once again, 0.2 PERCENT of Russian territory!!! That is, 0.04% of the total territory of pre-war Ukraine.
All this in three months and with 50,000-70,000 killed and wounded soldiers and the introduction of strategic reserves. I am not mentioning here that in the north, the Russians with one hand tied, easily occupied a new almost 100 square kilometers, just to reduce the pressure on their forces in the south.
I like math. If it were to happen that the Ukrainians retain the human and armed potential of the previous three months, it means that for the complete “liberation” of Ukraine, they would need 1,500 months, that is, 125 years and at least 6.25 million sacrificed soldiers.
One can easily tell it’s an Ukrainian made map because:
– There is a letter “i” inserted everywhere, as part of de-Russification
– Taken territories are brightly coloured, to appear bigger visually
– Norther part is cut off, because Russians took relatively large areas there

I saw an interview with British journalist Mike Jones. He had access to videos of Ukrainian POWâs being questioned.

People have been showing concern that the Deep State or the Career Goverment Officials are at a quandri when it comes to 2024 and to save themselves, they might start a war with China. The purpose would be to declare National emergency and postpone 2024 elections. Some of the reasons shoring up this thinking are:
– They have criminalized the US election process, which means they are afraid to loose because if they do, they will face what they have done to Trump and others, so far. The 50 signature letter deserves scrutiny.
– To put it kindly, it’s obvious old age has caught up with Obiden, happens to all of us at some point.
– Kamala is a no go.
– Gavin Gruesome’s critics have only California to point at and his master Soros to blame.
– The economy is tanking and facing $88 a barrel today and a depleted Strategic Reserve, causing inflation to rise and the Fed to raise interest to keep the Congress from spending.
– The 20% undecided will vote for Trump as a protest vote against the Unity Party in Congress. Add to that his 40% base and they just can’t beat that except with a risky and fraudulent mail in ballot campaign.
– Then the best option is to stop the elections all together by declaring war on someone.

Those “resources that are being recklessly expended” are mostly stolen anyway.
Those citizens had absolutely no problem with this war, for first eight years of it. If their opinion on wars hinges on chances for victory, then they are opportunistic scum. F those people. Send all their money to Zelensky.

The result is that the fighting has a weird “war from nowhere” quality.
Something very violent is happening in Ukraine but details are sketchy.

If the reports of obnoxious, entitled behavior by Ukrainian refugees are true, the EU countries might find it politically expedient to honor Zelensky’s request to return the “deserters”.
If Ukrainian refugees are returned to Ukraine to be thrown into the fray, they may regret not having fled to Russia instead.
Ukraine, shmukraine, stop this silly nattering about it and listen to the wise Mormon who said no Americans die but plenty of Russian do and that’s what counts because we are degrading Russia’s military might and Russia’s economy. Sure it costs us some money but we can print as much as we need.

I am reminded of a quote by US General Patton(possibly apocryphal) that weapons don’t win wars, men do. Whether he actually said it or not doesn’t take away from my point. The US/NATO have sent countless pieces of equipment, weapons etc into this conflict and it’s being torched, along with who knows how many actual human beings, but the number is quite large. For all intents and purposes, the US proxy force is being massacred. Personally, I don’t the think the US military itself is a good fighting force to begin with. But they believe they are because they’re arrogant. I have believed since before this particular conflict even started that the only thing that will stop my country from running around the world like a goddamned bully is going to be a devastating military defeat, and I think this conflict may be the thing that finally brings that to fruition. I don’t think they are going to stop escalating and, at some point, they are going to involve US and NATO forces directly and openly. I remember an interview with Col Macgregor from last year wherein he stated that his sources claim that the Russians, whether soldiers on the ground or gov’t he did not say, actually are “itching to get at” the US military. Just a brief sentence in a half hour long interview, but it stood out and I haven’t forgotten it. With all the various talk, theories, criticisms et al of how Putin and Russia are conducting this conflict, I have to wonder if the one unmentioned or even not considered reason for it, is because they know what is coming and are luring the US and NATO to get involved so they can destroy them right there, in Ukraine. Maybe crazy theory, but I would not reject it out of hand. Russia has been watching us run around the globe warring against and destroying numerous countries since 2001-2003. I don’t think they merely sat there in awe, I believe they’ve been planning for what they see as an inevitable shooting war with the West. America has become a terror to the entire world and increasingly to it’s own people. It won’t last forever, and I predict, if there is not change in that attitude pretty soon, America is going to be destroyed and there will be none to blame except America itself.
In all the west they are for years now working hard trying to turn men into “women” and women into “men”.
And suddenly they desperately are in need of soldiers aka real men. hard men. fierce men.
