Because of a high volume of spam and bot activity, I’ve added a widget that will require you to register and have a password if you want to comment. There will be a Captcha box (I know, that sucks). There may be some initial glitches. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have a problem.
Thanks for your patience.

Now I’m able to comment! Thanks Larry!

Office of National Intelligence are you receiving?
God Bless you, Larry

This is just a test comment. It wasn’t working earlier today.
Let’s see how his works.
So, will you ever be able to tell us the real story behind this registration requirement?
Trying to make it difficult for the bots. Unfortunately, none of the legit readers could comment. Had to take it down. However, that 24 hour shutdown did eliminate the Bots pushing BITCOIN and SBERBANK.
Thank you Mr Larry!
Thank you for not kicking me off the site as a representative of the enemy camp. Forgive me for Sberbank
Larry, I’d recommend one of the privacy respecting and less annoying captchas from Cloudflare for all comments. This avoids the need for registration while keeping moderation relatively easy.
Ah I’m getting the comment box now, this is another test post. Earlier it was saying I was logged in, but all the pages behaved like I wasn’t logged in.

Office of National Intelligence, are you receiving this?
Good idea.
Test: I think this step is very right and reasonable.

Your “registration” requirement signed me out of my own WordPress site so for obvious reasons I would have no longer commented anyway.
I do not understand why you needed a registration since you hold every comment for approval. That would eliminate spammers in any case.
I wasn’t able to login at all, so this is a test
works for me now Thanks
Good
Larry,
I mistakenly told WordPress to email comments. In my mind, I only wanted replies to my comments, but I’m getting every single bloody comment, and it’s inundating my email inbox! How do I turn that OFF?
Good luck Larry.
This happens to every website that wants to maintain Comment integrity. The potential number of bots, trolls and idiots will always outnumber those who have a genuine contribution to make.
Good as well

I searched for this “moderation” post because I put up a comment today on the Gonzalo Lira article that was up for moderation but did not appear. I did not get anything asking me to register and supply a password or a captcha.
Please assist, what am I doing wrong?
Thank you!
