The “discovery” that Joe Biden had multiple stashes of highly classified documents begs a few salient questions that nobody, to the best of my knowledge, has answered — When were they discovered? Who discovered them? And why is this information being leaked now?
It was not the White House coming forward with a mea culpa. Some person or persons in the Deep State let this Top Secret Cat out of the bag. Is it possible that they were discovered well before the raid on Trump in August? Was the Trump raid laying a predicate of sorts to provide damage control when the Biden collection was exposed? Maybe.
But there is a huge difference between Trump’s documents and Biden’s. Trump had ultimate authority as President to classify and declassify documents. Even though a document might bear a TS marking, if Trump declassified it then it was no longer classified. Biden had ZERO authority to declassify. Zilch. Nada.
There is another important difference — Trump’s collection of formerly classified material was taken to one location and personnel with the National Archives were notified. Trump’s documents were locked up in a secure room. They were not parked next to a 1967 Corvette or stuffed into a closet paid for by the Chinese. Biden’s documents were in multiple locations.
I was privileged to hold TS SCI clearances. I had TK, UMBRA and GAMMA, just to mention a few. That means I had access to the raw material produced by CIA, NSA, State, DIA, DOD, NIMA and NRO. I also had access to finished intelligence, i.e. a product produced by analysts using the raw material. I am willing to wager that Biden did not have any TS or S raw intelligence. That stuff is not very useful by itself.
I believe that Trump’s formerly classified material included evidence of CIA and FBI activities to sabotage his Presidency. For example, copies of CIA message traffic between Headquarters and the CIA Chief of Station in London (i.e., Gina Haspel) asking the Brits to conduct collection on members of the Trump team or reports on such collection. That material is kryptonite for the Deep State.
What might Biden have squirreled away? How about reports created at Biden’s request on potential business partners in Ukraine, China or Khazastan? That would be interesting. It also is likely that different members of the intelligence community produced finished products that could be used to identify and cash in on business opportunities.
Ron Klain, Biden’s current Chief of Staff, was Biden’s Chief of Staff as Vice President and was in charge of the paper flow that went in and out of Biden’s office. He is a central figure in this. TS material is not scattered on a desktop littered with unclassified documents. It is kept separate (it is supposed to be kept separate and controlled and locked in special safes). So this is not a case of some careless packing mistake. The limited number of classified documents that DOJ has scooped up reflects a deliberate, conscious effort to abscond with sensitive material.
The timing and nature of this leak (i.e., that Biden took TS SCI documents) could indicate the first moves of worried Deep Staters to make a confused, demented old man a scapegoat and shuttle him to the exit. If (or when) Ukraine surrenders to Russia, this will be the second major military setback of the Biden Presidency. With Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, Biden’s team will not be able to bury damaging revelations that will emerge from various investigations that Speaker McCarthy has green-lit. And do not forget the dozens of FBI whistleblowers that have gone to Republicans and provided them with damning ammunition. If the FBI and CIA come to believe their very existence is at risk, do not be surprised if Joe Biden becomes the ritual sacrifice and is jettisoned from office.
Oh yes, I do believe this is the prelude to Biden being ushered out of office. This will line up quite well with the failure in Ukraine but will only slightly reduce the impact from a Republican House that will still be on the prowl.

I assume the documents were in Biden’s possession while he was VP, so it’d be a retroactive breech. I also assume there’d be some formal procedure for declassifying a document & would have to be recorded. If so, did Trump do that? Did Biden? Even so, they were in Biden’s possession illegally while he was VP, correct?
Anyway, why wouldn’t Trump have kept a 2nd set, either paper or electronically, if he formally declassified them? That’d be the savvy thing to do.

Cheney claimed he had the authority to reclassify and redefine 1000 years of established jurisprudence, a practice that seems to have caught on, like sticky spider silk.
These documents are from Biden’s tenure as Vice President.
As VP, he had no authority to declassify.
Clarification: Every classified item is supposed to fall under a specified Security Classification Guide (SCG). And, every classified item is supposed to identify the “Classification Authority”. Only fedgov entities control the SCG’s and can be the Classification Authority. The fedgov Classification Authority also owns the declassification. Lastly, you need to have both clearance and legal access in order to be able to hold classified documents.
For Trump’s issue, the question becomes can the chain of command above the Classification Authority level declassify? Yes. Trump was the head of the National Command Authority (NCA). Vice Presidents are not in the NCA. Trump can declassify, but he needed a documented memorandum to do that before he left.
Biden’s issue is far worse. It is highly unlikely that a VP would have had Classification Authority (no way). During the timeframe when Biden held that classified material (during Trump Presidency), he was not a member of government. The only way for him to have access to classified material is through a govt contract, and that contract must list his name on it. Now go hunt down to see if a contract actually existed. Whoever gave him that material is also screwed.

There are a couple of parts of the story here:
1) The disgrace of people taking “home” sensitive documents. These papers are NOT their property and in my eyes anyone who takes them knowing their designations should be in prison. Imagine a situation where every CIA, NSA etc. employee decides to take home something to keep it in their attic or garage – the agencies would be like informational sieves. This is ultimately one of the reasons why each paper (at least in some countries) used to bear a red diagonal line across the paper with the words “top secret” (or whatever) on the paper prominently displayed – to remind the person reading it of the gravity of the contents – and the reason why there are levels of access and designations – otherwise it would be a free for all and foreign agencies would be regularly raiding analyst’s homes and garages for potential treasure troves of stuff – why bother managing assets, running extensive operations to get information – when it could all be in someone’s unsecured attic for taking?
2) If Trump changed the security clearance needed for each paper he took, there is a process for that and the question is – did he follow the process formally or did he just pack boxes and “did it in his head” without notifying anyone? Either way, he should not have appropriated these papers and should be treated the same as Biden – and the same as people like Reality Winner or Edward Snowden. Politics is politics and law is law and they should be separated.
3) “Think tanks” do NOT vet employees the same way CIA does. This means that anyone – from cleaning crew to interns to literally anyone could have had access to Biden’s “think tank” office where the documents were found. We also do not know how many documents were “trafficked” through this office by Joe Biden – how many times was he there, how many documents did he bring in and out, who saw them while there – we only have a snapshot in time of documents he brought in and left…
4) Implications on the “think tank” situation – are there other “think tanks” with access to sensitive stuff? Both on Republican and Democratic side? Do the intelligence agencies know that this is happening? How are said agencies controlling the flow of information/documents between source, intended consumer of intelligence (like Biden) and 3rd parties in think tanks potentially exposed to these documents via people like Biden? This whole “mix” sounds extremely insecure to me. Do Russia and China have “think tanks” or does Putin run the country like it is one giant KGB directorate?
5) Finally, Joe Biden may be demented/senile and he may need to be retired to an old folks home but do you REALLY want even dumber than stone President “Word Salad” Harris in charge? Harris will be the perfect stooge for people like Blinken, Nuland and Austin to manipulate. The thought of this all is scary. How did we ever get here??? Well, I know how but you know – rhetorical questions and all.
6) Why is this happening now? Is it somehow related to the fact that Russia is about to pound Ukraine into the 1500s and corner USA/UK/EU in a situation where they will no longer be able to hide the truth on the ground? Are the people behind this potential coup d’etat in USA making way for President Word Salad Harris to be manipulated into doing something really stupid?

What a Charlie Foxtrot…so apparently handling classified documents in the White House is different than anywhere else. I held a Secret and Top Secret/SCI clearances for 3 decades in the US Army…anytime I wanted to put my grubby hands on a document two things had to occur: (1) someone had to verify that I had a clearance commensurate with the document I wanted to read and; (2) I had to sign a classified document control log tracking the removal and return of the document(s) to a safe. Such was clearly not the procedure in the Obama White House…I guess you could just have your aid grab whatever you requested and just leave them laying around when you were done.
I honestly doubt Biden even read those documents but that doesn’t exonerate him from his felonies.
This will only be the end of Biden if the Left/Libs/Deep State want to get rid of him.
