ARE THEY AS STUPID AS THEY LOOK? BY HELMHOLTZ SMITH

24 September 2022 by HELMHOLTZ SMITH 136 Comments

The Russian military takes chips from dishwashers and refrigerators to fix the military hardware because there are no semiconductors anymore.

Some miscellaneous Euroweinie
appointed to a job with a much bigger salary than yours
and no worries about the lack of hot water this winter.

There was some discussion in the comments on Larry’s recent post about whether the rulers of the West could really be as stupid as they appear to be.

The short answer is this – how have things been going in the West since the “unipolar moment”? Are we all happier healthier and richer? Is the Western world better off? Stronger? More peaceful? Longer-lived? Of course it isn’t. Not better and actually worse for most. The conclusion is inescapable – either the West’s rulers have seriously screwed it up or they actually want it to be this way.

We’ll explore the first possible answer. (Maybe we are ruled by lizardoid aliens or a cabal of greedy bankers – given the last three decades you can’t rule it out but, following Hanlan’s Razor, I’ll stick with stupid).

Or whatever word you would apply to someone who believes that the Russian Army needs your dishwasher to make hyper-sonic missiles. And even if she doesn’t believe it but says it anyway, what’s the word for that? Surely some variant of stupid.

Here we are in September 2022 looking down the barrel of the Russian gun, doubling down on support for a corrupt regime in a bankrupt failed state infested with Nazis, running out of weapons, facing economic decline (collapse even – name an industry that doesn’t need energy or a person that doesn’t need food), a cold winter, rising inflation. Does that sound like something designed by smart people? And it didn’t just suddenly happen – it’s been building for years.

Arrogance and stupidity. Our rulers live in a tongue-bath of pleasing illusion. Russia is weak and feeble but we are strong and mighty. Putin is a dictator surrounded by hungry under-bosses but we are democratic leaders of free populations. He kills people but we do humanitarian bombing. The Russian economy desperately needs the money it makes selling energy to Europe but we can easily turn the thermostat down a bit for a month or two and bankrupt it. As a former Austrian water-colorist once said “You only have to kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down”.

Crashing Russia will be easy. It doesn’t make anything – gas station masquerading as a country. rapidly aging and shrinking population – Weak Country with a Nuclear Arsenal – Russia’s Weak Strongman – Russia’s Strength Is Its Weakness. And lots more where those came from. As Hitler said, just one kick – stop buying their gas, they’ll hang Putin and come crawling back.

Our rulers have been surrounded for years by people telling them this. Anyone who said that Russia has a big and very self-sufficient economy, that Putin is quite popular and at least half of his critics think he’s too soft, that money from gas sales to Europe are nice but there are lots of other customers, that you can’t be secure unless the other guy feels secure – what happened to them? You know the answer. They never got the chance to tell the bosses this and they never got in the door. And, when they did say these things – on the fringes far away from “trusted sources” and “fact checkers” – they were condemned as Putin apologists and their social media accounts were blocked. After all you can’t give a platform to disinformation when there’s so much real information from real experts like Martin Walker who told us in 2006 “But strategically, Russia’s real weaknesses are getting worse and its non-oil economy is lagging ever further behind its Indian and Chinese rivals.” Stupid or smart, the bosses were only told one thing by everyone who got to them and year after year they ignored all the counter evidence. That’s stupid. But it’s pleasing, especially to mediocre minds, to be told that you’ve got both might and right in your corner and your skillful management and nuanced understanding deserve another pay raise. For years, the same old stuff, over and over amplified and repeated – just one kick.

A couple of days ago stupid became really stupid.

The Foreign Ministers of the European Union… agreed to prepare new sanctions against Russia… also agreed to send more weapons to Ukraine.

Or, following Einstein, should we start saying insane?

    Great insights.

I’d love to think that they know it’s all lies and that it’s just geopolitical grandstanding.

Sadly, however – and more worrying – I think that they believe it’s all true.

To me, we are witnessing collective narcissism. Psychiatric illness. This phenomenon is recognised by leading psychiatrists.

It’s a small group, an elite, operating in a hall of mirrors in which they can gaze at their own reflections and those of each other, in mutual admiration.

Not only do they believe it’s all true, they NEED to believe it is true. Why?

Because they’ve also been told and believe that they are morally and intellectually superior to everyone else. The greatest, most progressive and advanced humans to have ever lived.

If Russia wasn’t the lowly vodka swilling peasant nation, it would threaten this deluded sense of superiority, that these weirdos have.

They can’t control what’s happened with Ukraine, and they can’t control Putin, who is exposing them 24/7. That’s why they are so unhinged, fearful and pathological in their non-stop lying.

    Just my ten cents.

we have been trained by our western psychocracy over decades that you can just use your loudest megaphones to socially construct anything – and then trick, bribe or force people into believing it – or at least to obedience-signal that they are believing it… and voila – your fantasy becomes ‘relity’…
That’s how cults operate. Reality does not matter and obedience signalling is all that counts.
there are ways to make people more ‘receptive’ to cults: make them desperate, poor, disoriented, without a clear sense of self, isolated etc.. basically the America I know from having spent many years in LA, SF, DC, Chicago.
All these factors also tend to make us less intelligent literally – according to a book called I think YOur Brain at Work, we are literally less intelligent when we feel a lack of Safty, Conectedness, Autonomy, when our status is deflating etc…all the things actively promoted by our psychocracy of EU and 5Eye moder day MORDOR countries.

“make them desperate, poor, disoriented, without a clear sense of self, isolated etc..”

This sounds similar to what the Khmer Rouge communist style brainwashing like what Pol pot dished out in 1977 Cambodia. People learn how bloody wonderful the West is and just how badly they will fuck up your life if you displease them.

Historically Russia has made tremendous contributions in many areas: music, science, literature to name just a few. It is also true that the West has made lasting contributions. What is happening in the West now is propelled by the US. The dying giant syndrome. The US can read the writing on the wall. Decline of America is historically inevitable. To add to the historical tide a lot of injuries are self inflicted. Americans have been totally brain washed to beileve that they are exceptopnal and their “Raj” will never end. The wolves are just outside the door–China the giant has woken up. India another giant is making rapid progress. Russia is not as weak as the US told us it was.

In the Astrophysics term the US is a Red Dwarf -dying star-slowly but surely. It will drag as many as it can in it struggle to remain a hegemon. Europeans are slaves to the US. It is unreasonable to expect them to challenge the US. So we are at this abyss! The beginning of the dark age for the West

I fear that before they have a chance to check themselves into an asylum that they will find themseleves swinging from lamp posts.

Well, this is a really easy question. The answer is yes. Stupid is as stupid does.

The current EU Commission, it’s like there isn’t a grown-up in the room. They behave like a clique of spoilt kids in a playground, ganging up on the kid they don’t like, calling him names, thinking of new ways to be mean. But he’s a big kid and they’re too cowardly to actually have a go.

It seems to me, one of the (many) fatal flaws of the EU is that Member States have no way to sack commissioners once they’ve been appointed. Were it my call I’d sack the lot of them and start again.

They are acting out a narrative, a pretense, doing what they are told to do by big finance, when your in debt over your head you do what your Bank wants you to do. The rest is just a big corporate raid on Russia/China/EU and anywhere else in the world where commodities are found, in the search for ownership of commodities with real world value once paper money is made worthless by financial collapse, triggered by stupid politicians/electorates who used to believe in money tree miracles rather than the real world.

The EU has decided to go all in against Russia and lost. The pain will grow and it may get very ugly on the streets soon. People will gather and protest. But it is already too late in my opinion. Europe will become the next ghetto of the world. Germany will lead.

These people, such as on the EU Commission, are not leaders, they are middle-level functionaries (i.e. flunkies). So yeah they are stupid enough to believe what they are told to do. But if you end your thought experiment with them, solely, then you’ve missed the whole operation. The ones you have to be fearful of are the evil ones behind the scenes.

The issue is not the US that has been doing the same for 75 years. The question is how Europe fell into this trap. With countries heavily indebted and with the EU trojan in Brussels. How does NATO stop when American leaders go to Europe they don’t need to sleep in two hotels. And with weak leaders like the German liver sausage who went to the White House to be told he can’t open Nord Stream II to an old man with Alzheimer’s. But tomorrow’s election in Italy could already start to change a lot in Europe!

I somehow noticed the cities in America are starting to look like third world cities. I imagine just as soon as the Big Corps., Bankers and the Elites suck the last drop of blood from the people, steal the wealth and collapse the markets. This parasite will move on the next host country, maybe China. That seems to be the next global money sink. Then they will give the nod to let loose the hounds of hell, (nukes). Then America and it’s rotten cities full of welfare folks and the mid country full of gun totters and all debt will be cleansed by fire. And who cares if the gas station, (Russia) is irradiated. They can still pump the oil and gas from these wells. Problem Solved. We’ll never beat them because they can buy too many who has any power to confront them. I’ve watched them buy off or destroy everyone who even leaned towards protecting the little man. Many past Presidents and other people who loved America have warned us of what would happen if this got out of hand. And now big tech. has taken away any voice that rises to sound the warning. So most people, not us here. But most people are lambs led to the slaughter. And some of the rest are the sheepherders paid to cut our throat.

I noticed the same thing a decade or longer ago.
San Francisco has been full of homeless drug addicts (many are veterans of America’s imperial wars I was told), streets filled with used syringes, piss, shit etc – it literally looks and smells like a giant open air toilet.
I’ve been taking photos of such scenes at least since 2006 to send to my European friends. I once counted 12 young (all white) people injecting heroin on sidewalks of SF as I walked from the top of Russian Hill to SF Opera one day at around 2 pm I think. People passing by just behaved as nothing was happening. Only German tourists were really shocked. This was I think 6 or so years ago.
It’s been this way for many years – I have seen it with my own eyes everywhere I lived in USA – SF, LA (and I lived in best parts of town), Chicago, Honolulu etc etc…when it does not rain in SF for a long time- the whole city smells like piss. And I noticed they only ever clean one side of the road in SF. So syringess stay there forever. USA has been a hellhole for a while.

Ding ding ding we have a winner.
The USD is being decoupled from other currencies worldwide at a rate not yet seen.
Russia and China have been working towards this end for decades, and they know they can succeed which is why we are where we are.
For those who say “but, China needs us to buy all their stuff”, think for a moment about the fact we are only 4% of the worlds population. China has been developing other foreign markets for their export for years.
Thinking China needs us is just another example of American arrogance. When we lose the dollar reserve status, we’ll be as globally significant as Zimbabwe.

Victoria Nuland, 61, the Russia-hating zealot, the most public face of US “policy” viz. Russia Federation, according to Internet sources lists her as 5’5″ or 5’7″ and 145 lbs. to 150 lbs.

Does this look like 145 lbs. to 150 lbs. [66KG to 68KG]?

    https://mobile.twitter.com/UnderSecStateP/status/1573457181961224203

Since her number one job is to enforce false and dangerous and deadly and catastrophic narratives — deploying military grade propaganda — to lie to us, deceive us. . . .the Americans for whom she is supposed to work for — one should look at her: and feel free to give back as “good” as she.

Her behavior has been atrocious for a long time.

And since NYTimes, CNN, CBS, NBC, WAP, WSJ, Fox, etc. have no problem contributing to her effort to make it socially unacceptable to even discuss her murderous, blood-soaked “diplomatic” record — and more on point: her job to make it verboten for it to be socially acceptable to discuss, rationally, what she, in our name: is doing, with war now between USA and Russia, — take a good look at her.

Does she look 145 lbs. 150lbs.?

She is a traitor to our country and belongs in a penal colony — her, one of scores in our government and in other walks of life. . . selling out our country.

A clue can be found in reading “The Controversy of Zion” by Douglas Reed, available for free, online, here: https://www.controversyofzion.info/Controversybook/reeedcontrov.pdf

In the opinion of this very humble farm labourer who sometimes dabbles in investigative work for paid reward this book is a key to opening the door to the creaking eddifice that is about to crumble. A long and very determined campaign has been waged over the last 150 or so years to pursue what a small, very narcissistic cult see as their god given right to treat all other humans as livestock. Reed lays it out in meticulous detail, well researched and supported by footnotes. It is the final effort of a stellar career as a journalist, back when it was a profession to be proud of. It was never published in print, because no publisher was ever brave enough to stand up to the threats made. Thanks to the internet, it is now available to all. It is not an “anti-semitic” rant, it is a clear and concise account of a series of actions and their consequences leading to the creation of the state of Isreal, detailing the participants, their victims, their means, motives and methods. Once understood these means, motives and methods can be easily identified when observing the actions of the likes of Nuland.

A more recent phenomenon is the Left’s penchant for believing their words change reality. It’s similar to repeating a lie through the creation of stories–The Narrative, repeated. Called “influence operations,” the idea that outcomes can be manipulated with propaganda by influencing the behavior resulting in the outcome.

It worked with panic porn during SARS-2, while compliant behavior is one thing, battlefield outcomes with opposing forces are another.

The creation of stories-the Narrative is shaped based on the planning for an event. The event needs to be created or incentivized to happen by some crazies and then that created story/narrative is than used as the explanation for that event. When the real explanation for what happened is never revealed.

Kind of like how people once believed the sun rotated around the earth, until a few questioned what they observed and figured out the actual nature of the universe and the forces which predicted those events.

Also great was Larry’s Roundtable which I read after writing an article with similar opinions for Substack and Medium– and which caused me to revise the article to direct readers to this site. https://julianmacfarlane.substack.com/p/how-the-west-was-won-russias-victory Larry’s articles are in contrast to Scott Ritter’s which reflects the difference in backgrounds. Johnson was a CIA analyst, which means he was trained to look outside the box. Ritter was trained in the Marine Corps, which means he was indoctrinated in American military philosophy — and that shows in his mis-assessments of the Russian strategy and capabilities and American military aid to the Ukrainians, which he calls a “game changer”. Yeah, it changes the game — to the disadvantage of the EU and the US, who are emptying the public purse to no purpose. It aint 2012. The Russians have technological military superiority.

I don’t think “they” are stupid, across the board. The political strata certainly, in part, though clearly many of them are still willing to spout big (stupid) lies in the service of their sponsor’s agenda. I think the rest are just part of the well oiled, well paid MIC, which has quite brilliantly created a massive arms void by disposing of all those obsolete soviet arms in Nato hands, by shoveling them into the Ukraine maelstrom, requiring massive replacements with modern “Nato Standard” (ie: largely American) weapons systems, at the same time – emptying the US weapons stocks and requiring stock replacements there as well. Almost as good as selling to both sides, but you can’t have everything.. not that they’re not trying. Cui bono usually answers the question, why?

MIC has been a tool of very wealthy elites who desire global economic dominance. These folks have the wherewithal to buy entire governments, referring to our very own.
The WEF is one aspect of their overall ambitions.
We don’t have to guess at this Davos has admitted to the great reset many times. Depopulation has been a part of their plan for decades.
Stupidity yes, evil yes, but you gotta follow the money. The desire for money corrupts, it’s just that simple.

The problem is not one of stupidity or malice, but of philosophy. The ruling elites, most of them educated in modern western humanities, follow a philosophy called constructivism. They believe that there is no objective reality but that reality is created by perception. They believe that reality can be changed by changing the perception of something.

This is the explanation why there are suddenly 78 genders. If you believe that the existence of two biological sexes it not objective reality but just a perception created by biologists, then you can change reality by creating a different perception.

Thus inside of this philosophical framework reality can be changed if you have enough power to change the perception of a sufficient amount of people. That is the philosophy underlying Carls Rowes famous quote “we are an empire now, we create our own reality”.

So the political elites of the west do not think that their job is to recognize objective realities and then develop strategies to optimize a certain outcome in the given frame of reality. Instead they think (and that is certainly megalomaniac) that their job is to shape reality according to their political ideology.

That explains why for the Ukrainian side PR victories are more important than real gains on the battlefield. It also explains why they are so obsessed to control the media and the education system, because those are major handles to control how people perceive the world.

Since this is a question of philosophy, philosophy will tell us what the outcome is. Famous conservative philosopher Ayn Rand, fully aware of the megalomaniac ideology that creeped into once well educated western elites said “you can ignore reality, but you can not ignore the consequences of reality”.

And those consequences are hitting everywhere. In Iraq, in Afghanistan, in Ukraine, economically, in Brexit, in the MAGA movement. Western elites are simply unable to recognize that there are forces in this world they can not control and that either have to find a way to coexist or they will get destroyed. In their world they can shape reality by just lying hard enough.

In this context you often hear the quote of Joseph Goebbels, that people will believe every lie if repeated often enough. The western elites who follow this strategy tend to forget that Goebbels lies created a house of cards that came down when soviet troops raised the soviet flag above the heaps of rubble that once was the city of Berlin.

There is much truth in those words. Notice how reality comes to bite their bums now and again. The fantasies spun about the Ukraine conflict will not be able to stand up to the physical expulsion of Ukrainian troops from the Donbass and reality will bite once again. The most effective philosophical approach to this BS is scepticism. Doubt everything, as Descartes said. And heed what the great sceptic David Hume said: ‘A wise man proportions his belief to the evidence’. Hume lived some of his life at Chirnside in the Scottish Borders; not far from here. There has never been a time when scepticism and agnosticism have been needed more. Brainwashed people are our worse enemies because they think they know when they do not know.

Mass media ‘entertainment’ and commercials strongly support this. I’ve long thought that the leftists making programming decisions believe that if they simply put their happy, prosperous multicultural vision on the idiot box and have it pounded again and again and again into the viewers, that utopia will somehow magically instantiate. I’ve seen it referred to as ‘deep programming’, but I don’t recall the source. (Unconstrained Analytics?)

I would draw an analogy between Western politicians to junkies. They are hooked on fakes news and false narratives they fabricated in the first place for political aka financial benefits for themselves and their maters aka The Deep State. Deep down their mind and during rare sane moments junkies do know that this shit is doing them no good. But since they are deeply hooked on this stuff for so long they would only double down on the dosage over time. Only two things can stop them, their own destruction or shock therapy. Russia is helping them on both.

honestly i always debate this with myself, since largely the people I know haven’t the least bit of clue as to how thoroughly the world has gone off the rails, malice or stupidity. I never really come to conclusions. I suspect there are elements of both. For instance I think legendary a-holes like Soros and Gates for instance most certainly have more malice than stupidity, while Jester Biden is a toss up, and your run of the mill plebe shouting about racism while advocating for it are just plain dumb. But what I find hard to fathom is how the class of stupid has pulled from the class of intelligent people to make them completely fail to recognize what is going on. I mean I read mishtalk and he posted some of the most basic retard propaganda out there the other day and I was blown away… he seems to clearly have an idea about so much of the reality of whats going on but somehow he posted something that my 6 year old could debunk. wtf how does that happen? it blows me away.

But I also find this failing in some of the very most knowledgeable about everything geopolitic… the ones who only see the pure stupidity of the ruling class. There is an overwhelming silence or malunderstanding of peak oil and it makes even the most based understandings I can find outside of that movement itself, severely lacking. They completely ignore the potentiality that some of the higher ups in these mini and various cabals have identified the long term downtrend of fuel and therefore economy, and have convinced their greentard lemmings to voluntarily give the MIC the remaining fossil fuels (the opposite is the rightards who think oil is abiotic and lasts forever). Putin and Xi don’t seem interested in surrendering their fossil fuels to the WEF for the 500 year Reich of champagne and caviar. The western puppets seem happy the lap up the dripping fluids of the ‘in the know’. The populace is completely in the dark. The midterm prospects for the entirety of civilization are dangerous, and long term collapse is coming without clear rational leaders to direct our actions with dignity.

Same here: the current geopolitical situation is so insane, reckless, and mind-boggling that one really does wonder what on earth is going on. But I agree with your statement: some in the elite are acting very much in a calculated and very sinister ways; others are just the court jesters distracting the masses.

Last night I listened to Alexander Mercouris on Youtube: “Russia Storming Bakhmut Suburb Zaitsevo, Mobilisation Continues; US Giving Moscow Nuclear Warnings” and he made some very interesting points. He appears himself to be at least partially perplexed about the West’s very aggressive diplomacy.

As I’m understanding the situation now (following Mercouris thinking), it seems to me that the USA and in particular the current administration is just fueling the fire by all means to force both Russia and China into a greater conflict. Why? China’s might is growing, while the West including USA is steadily losing ground. Actually China’s GDP adjusted on PPP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)) is already substantially ahead of USA. So there’s talk of a “window of opportunity” (whether from China side, or USA side, according to the media’s spin). Point is that some people out there may think that it’s now or never.

Hence the crazy mad dash (?). In any case, we shouldn’t underestimate any side and we must remain vigilant and awake, lest the night catches us asleep.

I think this is even more true for military human resources. A substantial portion of legacy Americans (the most capable portion, I suspect) are opting out of military service. The Globalist American Empire is not going to win any wars against peer or superior opponents if loyal, capable, and committed Americans are replaced with unassimilated aliens drawn from peoples with population-mean IQ’s in the 70’s and 80’s.

We can scream all day long that it is unfair that the world is the way it is, but we didn’t make it. We just live in it like everyone else. Equalitarianism is a lie. People are not fungible. Root cause failure analysis is a practice used in industry to determine why machinery fails. It demands the repeated asking of the question “WHY” until no further answer is forthcoming.

With respect to the above posts, i suggest, as humbly as is possible, that if one asks why one more time one can find people, like Nuland and her husband Kagan doing things that make no sense except when seen as pursuing the breakdown of existing structures in pursuit of a great resetting which will leave a “one world government” and guess who will be in control.

The US will host european capital and finance once the EU is done with destroying all its economies through population mistreating (the disgusting lies of the « health crisis policies ») and industrial dismantling (sanctions against Russia being the pretext to the operation).

von der Leyen may be of German origin, but she has been brainwashed in the German-American young leaders (or some thing like that). She works for the corporations (her friendship with Bourla) and for the USA. In the same way, and for the same reasons, Macron’s mission is to dismantle France (selling its strategic industries, like Alstom, is enough proof of that).

If you cannot tell the difference between malice and incompetence from the results, what does it matter? It might as well be malice and therefore needs to be treated with the urgency that malice demands.

They -yes- are happier, richer, etc.

And they want to stay that way, by robbing their own people to maintain their declining profit rate.

That’s not what I call “stupid”.

What is stupid is to believe that they are, when they have organized their own world, where nobody can interfere. The plundering of democracy is working well, without the people flinching: no more unions, no more real education, no more ability to think, systematic destruction of organizations that were working quite well (education system, health system, energy system, etc.), destruction of newspapers.

The five basic laws of Stupidity By Carlo M. Cipolla
    http://harmful.cat-v.org/people/basic-laws-of-human-stupidity/

    1. Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.

    2. The probability that a certain person be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.

    3. A stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or to a group of persons while himself deriving no gain and even possibly incurring losses.

    4. Non-stupid people always underestimate the damaging power of stupid individuals. In particular non-stupid people constantly forget that at all times and places and under any circumstances to deal and/or associate with stupid people always turns out to be a costly mistake.

    5. A stupid person is the most dangerous type of person. A stupid person is more dangerous than a bandit.

These companies have, via their investments (in military companies, in land in Ukraine, …), huge interests in this conflict to escalate further, eventually even at the cost of WW III.

The situation resembles to the situation before WW I and WW II, periods during which the Wallstreet banks were the driving force behind the political moves.

This sounds like a recycled story from the early 80’s. Back then I was doing software development for the C64 and the story was that the USSR was buying PCs and pulling the 6502 and 6800 chips to use in missile guidance systems. Supposedly they were getting around an export ban by having them shipped through Finland. Never did find out if it was actually true, but around that time I switched from BASIC to FORTH, and you could definitely have used FORTH to write military code for those chips. It was very robust and ran lightning fast, at least for those days.

Here’s another rumour: Lately Russia has been buying huge numbers of smoke alarms and extracting the Americium in them to build nuclear triggers. How do I know it’s only a rumour? Because I just made it up:)

I am not sure I would say the Western leadership are stupid, but rather that they are not practical.

They show a lack of practical training, a lack of practical experience and a lack of practical wisdom. Of those in Germany’s present coalition, I could find just one who had worked as a salesperson in a bakery, the big practical experience there being: rolling preloaded carts of dough into an oven to make (that is, finish) Brötchen – an oven that was on thermostat and timer, and that shut off and beeped when it was time to roll out the bread. Everyone else I studied were blank cartridges, practically speaking.

Many “blogs” are based upon notions of if only the Papa Czar knew, and hence tend to “see” stupidity as a disadvantage as a function of “seeing is believing”; not “seeing” that “seeing” is interpreting.

For many years in hope of transcending “seeing is believing” the opponents have sought to evaluate levels of stupidity using “big data” and other linear methods, including binaries of “analyst”/”analysed”, “subject”/”object”, but as a function of their methods/interpretations have failed to substantiate en mass – “Are they as stupid as they look ?” tested through en mass implementations, and hence rely on varying levels of belief – which they try to minimise by re-iterating their processes of “evaluation” of levels of stupidity in environments where lateral change is a constant, hence illustrating Mr. Marx’s paraphrased observation that – Philosophers here to fore have merely described the word, the problem is to change it – (precluded by “philosopher’s” methods of analysis/evaluation/interpretation, predicated upon assumptions of the pertinence/significance of- if only the Papa Czar/”they” knew.) – a re-iteration of the deflection dance.

      “that reinforce their false worldview.”

Since omniscience is not a possibility in environments where lateral change is a constant, all have a false worldview in varying aspects.

This is a component of the reasons why science is catalysed by doubt – not certainty which cannot exist in the abscence of omniscience-, and why to some the practice of de-emphasising the significance of science – described by Mr. Clifford Connor and others as The Tragedy of American Science – is not evaluated as tragic, but as vectors to transcend “The United States of America”.

“Guess you had a misstype: Marx said that philosophers should not make interpretation of the world, not word.”

Thank you for illustrating the encouragement of focusing on minor details to attempt to make an “interpretation” of more salient points – the word being by design not default, facilitating the guessing of others predicated on expectations, as previously some grocers hoped to achieve by spelling eggs as eggz.

The Theses on Feuerbach was a prologue to The German Ideology, volume 36 of the Collected Works of Marx and Engels published by Progress Publishers from 1970 onwards based upon original materials collected from 1921 onwards by some who were subsequently designated as “Trotskyists”, but “frozen” after 1924, to facilitate “Socialism in one country” and its methods of facilitation.

These publications and their publication facilitated various vectors in the ongoing transcendence of “The Soviet Union” by The Russian Federation.

The context included, but was not restricted to, prevalent practice/practices of reading between the lines not restricted to Pravda, “Eurocommunism” primarily in Italy, and the notions of Mr. Gramsci in respect of “organic intellectuals” which in part was predicated upon Mr. Marx’s observations on philosophers in The Theses on Feuerbach, but not to suggest that Mr. Gramsci should be held as a role model as he was imprisoned when he wrote down his observations, and Mr. Guevara was rendered a T-shirt, and to some degree facilitated the Condor Years primarily, but not solely in Argentina, Brasil, and Chile, before the Progress Publisher’s updated edition of the German Ideology was published.

Mr. Marx observed that philosophers have merely described the world whilst the purpose is to change it – hence philosophers are unfit for purpose if the purpose is to change it, Mr. Marx having the benefit of trying to change it unsucessfully in Germany in 1848 facilitating his subsequent domicile in “The United Kigdom”.

In some notes whose references I can’t remember since I probably read them at least 50 years ago or so before Mr. Mitrokhin mastered the intricacies of photocopiers, Mr. Marx also observed that it was a good thing that philosophers had merely described the world and would likely continue to do so, since this would keep them busy, which would facilitate others’ efforts in changing the world with lesser distractions,

A linear current extrapolation upon this is:

many commentors on blogs merely attempt to describe the world without testing their hypotheses in validation through implementation, and hence are not fit for purpose if the purpose is to change the world, but quite useful in illustrating the “plausible beliefs/narratives” of the day. :

an updated version of the fallacies of if only the Papa Czar knewness and the Zubatovschina – an oblique reference to bank robbers who forgot to count all the money before handing it over to “The party”, in addition to reference to a catalyst of “The Russian Revolution of 1905”, which was de facto a revolution mostly around fixed points to sustain the status quo in modified form using the tool of “representative democracy” via Duma or even Dima.

    — Beautiful turn of phrase!!!

“either the West’s rulers have seriously screwed it up or they actually want it to be this way.”
    — My take: Either the West’s rulers have seriously screwed it up or they have seriously screwed us up. Because stupid politicians do not last long in that pit of vipers known as Washington DC, those who persist must therefore be clever, not stupid. But clever people with bad motives are nothing but schemers, rustlers, con-men. And since a cheat’s prime goal is money, not murder per se, so the West’s rulers scheme and plot to enrich themselves in the main. And where is the font of the money that they so gather up for themselves if not the national treasury — that storehouse into which the produce, the productivity, the manufactures of a nation’s labours, labourers, creativity, good repute must be accounted into? So, yes, we are most certainly screwed by our ‘rulers.’ Screwed out of our blood, sweat and toil more often than being led by incompetent ‘leaders.’

” it is dangerous to classify your enemies stupid.”

In environments where lateral change is a constant it is dangerous to classify anything, although the opponents do not agree since their hope/purpose is to sustain a linear modified undefined “status quo”, which they hope to facilitate by enmazing others in linear paradigms -whose components remain undefined thereby hoping to catalyse “intuitive responses” within acceptable precedents/tolerances- in interaction with the experiences of others – sometimes known as lives – whom they hope to enmaze.

My maxim (which isn’t original to me, I know) is that ‘perception lags reality’. It’s served me well over several decades by providing a reasonable explanation for much of human activity.

That is, people will believe any old idiocy even when (or perhaps ‘especially when’) objective facts–sometimes a veritable tsunami of facts–prove that their beliefs are false. Very few individuals are able quickly to assimilate and accept facts which contradict their beliefs, and those who can do so are usually termed ‘sceptics, naysayers, heretics’ by their contemporaries. Those who can rapidly adapt their modes of thought to accommodate new information inputs are quite scarce and ironically, once the generality of the population finally recognizes that ‘gee, things have changed’, those who were once deemed ‘heretics’ may be relabelled as ‘visionaries’ or ‘martyrs’ (for those who have paid the price for the terrible sin of ‘being right’-vide Giordano Bruno, e.g).

Unfortunately, history is replete with examples of such cognitive dissonance. More often than not, culture and society will experience radical transformation (religious, economic, even military conflict) while the ‘elites’–those wielding power at the top of the political, social and cultural pyramid–carry on as if nothing much has changed. Indeed, even as a political entity fades and flickers out, its elites may continue to act as if everything is perfectly unchanged. At worst–as appears to be happening now–those same elites will reassure each other that any unpleasantness of which they take cognizance is actually ‘the fault’ of their inferiors, who actually ‘deserve’ whatever badness happens to be occurring (‘it’s God’s judgement’, ‘it’s a consequence of not addressing climate change’, blah blah). Naturally the elites–while their society comes crashing down around them–will act to protect their own interests, and be damned to to rest of the those who suffer.

John Michael Greer has written at length on the ‘managerial class’ as he styles our modern elites, and how utterly foolish they are. ‘Perception lags reality’ to an astonishing degree amongst these folk, for those who might like to explore this thesis in greater depth.

This all doesn’t make sense because … insert golden nugget of truth here (thats really just regurgitated talking points from 6 months ago).

Michael Yon had an EXCELLENT post about how ones paradigm affects their ability to discern the truth. When things don’t make sense, its your paradigm thats out of whack, he says brilliantly.
You are all wrong because you are searching for an answer that fits your previously held paradigm. Instead look for a paradigm that fits your facts.

The whole fucking world is being played by these globalist clowns in the UN and WEF (same group of psycho’s, just read their resumes), and they’re all so sure of their own fucking brilliance, they are unwilling to see that they have been duped from the beginning, so they double down on mental gymnastics to try to make the facts (that are unmalleable) fit their paradigm (thats about as strong as a wet noodle).

Yes, the collective West is in an advanced collective state of “mythomaniac” schizophrenia regarding Russia. They’ve become totally disconnected from reality, swimming in denial despite the mounting evidence and testimony of the error of their ways. I’ve never witnessed such a state of collective Russophobic delusion and crusading hysteria. Even scholars, generals, philosophers, academics, and generally people who should know better, are victims of this strange phenomenon to the point that made someone suggest that “they must be putting something in their water supply”!
I’m at a loss of words to describe what’s happening with nutjobs in powerful positions talking of “pushing the red button”. The level of Western hysteric propaganda is just plain toxic and cannot be escaped but for a very few people with a strong education in life and in school.
Putin was spot on when he called it the Empire of Lies : they’ve lied so much that they now believe their own lies which act as a prism through which they perceive an alternative reality and end up making stupid schizophrenic decisions. That’s why lying is so dangerous and a capital sin. Lying is the mother of Evil and it is forbidden by all religions and human traditions. Yet, today’s West has made it its favorite instrument of government following the principle that the end justifies the means.

The problem is clearly before us but the solution escapes our senses. However the solution is right in front of us but we’re afraid to look. Everyone wants to be a patriot until it’s time to do patriot stuff. Elections won’t change anything and I doubt we have two years left until the 2024 cycle. At this rate we’ll never make 2024. It is very dangerous to call those EU leaders stupid, as they are not. Evil and deceiving – yes, but definitely not stupid.
The very fact that everything goes according to their plans – i.e. centralization of EU, increase of censorship, total control of thousands of big and small protests europe-wide, total media blackout, and the very fact that people are buying their idiotic statements and not trying too hard to depose them, shows they are highly organized, have detailed plans for what they are doing, and are executing it mercilessly.

If someone does not understand their plans, of course he will call them stupid. But it will be in effect just the opposite.

To underestimate your enemy is the best way to lose the war.

I will prefer to believe that majority of those EU politicians are highly intelligent and corrupt evildoers and act accordingly.

I don’t know why anyone would think our rulers are insane or stupid, as they keep achieving their goals. If you think something is stupid but it works, it isn’t stupid.

Their goal in UKR was to get Europe to stop shifting towards RUS sphere of influence, and back to ours. Especially in re: nat gas, as the Big Guy needs his 10%. Secondary goal was to weaken RUS.

Let’s add something else to the analysis:
Rational observers like John Meersheimer have said that the logical course for the US would have been to team up w/ Russia against China, the real threat for both. Instead we drive RUS into China’s arms, then weaken Russia which is already the weakest partner, while at the same time continuing to strengthen China by offshoring our manufacturing there.

Link that to all the proven links between China and our government, including a congressman on the Intelligence Committee banging a Chinese spy, and I’d say it’s far worse than people think. They aren’t crazy, they know what they are doing and why, and no one on our side… actually, there is no ‘our side’ just a bunch of people on the internet with opinions.

Remember Zuckerberg in around 2012 telling the world that nobody needed 80 billion and that he was going to give it all away and only keep a couple billion for himself? Couple years later he was thinking about running for president. Couple after that he began censoring and you can see how it is with him now. Oh 12 was the last gasp of normalcy and the path fell off from there. It would be the same for you and I, were we to become so “fortunate”. How deeply one falls is different among individuals but the overarching paradigm remains the same. Fortune is misfortune and misfortune is fortune, Grasshopper.

There is stupidity, ignorance, arrogance and evil. For example, the coverage of the referendums and the comments of westerners reveals ignorance and intentional bias. Most people who rely on main media coverage are ignorant of the facts. Media are intentionally lying and continually use words like”sham voting process.” I have watched unbiased coverage of the people voting and their opinions. Westerners, to a large degree, misunderstand eastern Ukraine, Russia, and majority ethnic Russians. They want security, peace, jobs and prosperity, not the economic disaster brought about by the west. In fact, many of them feel that nothing good has ever come from the west.

Could not be more obvious, yet the scale of this is almost inconceivable to honest and law respecting people, so it kind of hides in plain sight, but once you begin to catch on to it you can not but see it everywhere. Then it is no mystery, making commom sense what is happening and why.
Besides it is the only logical reason explaining why these LARP’s and agents act in total contradiction to rule and color of long held laws, traditions, and most importantly the will of the people, against all time honored traditions and the codes decent people live by and their cultures derive from.
And that last is another aspect, how more so each passing day we the people are ever more irrelevant?
Well thats there’s a totally reasonable thing, how that is only possible because our “elected” representatives deliberately foster that demise of the franchise and rightful most legitimate manifest will of the electorate.
And all that is patterns of detail of a larger sneaky cunning pattern of usurpation by something rather like, if not, a vast conspiracy working to destroy freedom and Liberty and hold “Dominion”, (like as in rigged Dominion voting machines, Duh!), over all of us. Since the implosion of the communist East in 1990, the solo husbandry of the world by the US Governing Elites has furnished nothing but pain to hundreds of millions, economic destruction of the Western economies, the loss of hope for a peaceful future, the doomsday clock has never been as close to midnight before, the unipolar world has proven to be no good for anything or to anyone, it has to end before the nukes begin to fly, we all glow and die slowly.

Some tell us the Russians are so stupid that they can’t mobilize a reserve force or move supplies to the front. Yet they can launch men into space, build hypersonic missiles and modern fighter aircraft?

The United States has been at war with Russia since 1917. As Orwell wrote, “The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous.” Here is a short video about this:

Usual stuff. Stopped reading after defeat in Kiev (read piece) Putin nervous (didn’t look like it) and Great Ukrainian Victory (tell me what has changed on the battlefield.) BTW a lot of pieces saying Ukraine can still win have spontaneously appeared in the last couple of days. A coincidence I’m sure

As scary as it sounds, I really want to believe the visible shot callers are just stupid, and maybe they are, but what about those we can’t see, you know the Central Banker types. They are far from stupid. All most every move our elected leaders make seems to further hurt our nation and the world at large. Who benefits from such ‘stupidity? It’s unpopular, even illegal in some places, to suggest it may be certain tribes calling the shots. If one’s awake enough to look back at history there’s only one group that claims superiority overall. They call their self the Chosen ones. Historical records are full of stories, truth or fiction, of tribe members infiltrating governments to become the tax collector, or senior advisors. As they have no loyalty to anyplace, they always work against the host and move on. Ah it’s a long story. 3,000 years long.

I agree that many European “leaders” are deluded narcissists, perhaps even all the way up to Klaus Schwab – he seems a bit off. But I also believe that there are some people behind the scenes, like Soros, who are running the whole show and they are far from insane, stupid or deluded by their own wonderfulness. This small group of conspiracists are just plain EVIL.

I respectfully disagree with Mr. Smith.

This goes back at minimum to the founding of The ,(infamous) Tavistock Institute in 1913 by the English Royal Family, the Rothschilds, Rockefellers and several other families.
The overarching goal was the imposition of a One World Government.
They realized their biggest obstacle was the deep bonds of extended family and deeply ingrained Judeo Christian values.
They accepted this would be a very long term project and set to work on their immediate task of Manufacturing for Consent the English public mind to reverse it’s deep antipathy towards their planned World War, which, obviously hadn’t even started yet.
Their first Director was Dr.Sigmund Freud.
Edward Bernays, Freud’s nephew, and Walter Lippmann came over from the United States to begin the project which yielded the desired results very quickly.
They then returned to the U.S. to work in the newly established Committee for Public Information set up by Woodrow Wilson, who rode into office on a Peace Ticket, promising not to drag the country into a Bankers War in Europe.
The CPI turned the public mind in record time, just 6 months.
After the War, the Tavistock Institute conducted a study of shell shocked WW1 veterans whose core identities had been shattered by 24/7 shelling which caused their core identities, which normally lock in by the age of 8 to completely unravel .
These poor souls were warehoused in mental facilities with no contact with their families who were told they were KIA,MIA,etc.
In studying these men, the Tavistock Institute had no intention to help them, just to gain more of an understanding of the human psyche in order to effect more efficient and subtle means by which to control and direct the public mind towards the aforementioned overarching goal, i.e. the enslavement of humanity.
What the Tavistock Institute discovered was that these severely traumatized men were different only by degree compared to an average person in society.
Those men were buffeted between Euphoria– I’m still Alive! — to Disphoria — I’m going to Die! — every few minutes or seconds for days and weeks on end, in some cases. Until their core identity shattered.
The majority of society is also buffeted, I can pay the rent –now my kid is sick —
I have to save them but how do I pay the rent, etc., etc.
Dr. Mengele applied this knowledge and further studied thousands of children subjected to repeated trauma in his labs at Auschwitz during WW2 and was scooped up by the OSS, as planned, along with his entire staff and most importantly — all his research. He was brought home to the U.S., given a new identity, Dr.Green and sent up to the University of Ontario to work with the monstrous Dr.W.Ewan Cameron, who had his own ideas and methods to shatter an adults solidified core identity in order to create a more acceptable persona.
Their work was conducted under the still ongoing MK- ULTRA/Project MONARCH program and the despicable Dr Sidney Gotlieb.
As you can tell, this rabbit hole is very disturbing and very deep.
I caution all to beware of what you may find researching this particular nightmare.
I have read things that once known cannot be unknown.
I know this may sound incongruous but I BEG you NOT to read of Mengle’s cages and live vivisections and little game with a flower, plucking petals , going from one child to the next – I love you, I love you not…. Or Cameron’s methods.
Leonard Cohen was one of his subjects, btw. You can find a photo of him in Cameron’s lab, unless it’s been memory holed.
I’ll jump ahead to David A. Rockefeller and the Council on Foreign Relations efforts in the 60’s and 70’s to put some of the final pieces in place to insure what he later crowed about in his autobiography.
He stated, ” I stand accused of working to crush the Democratic Government’s of the World with debt so they will beg for A One World Government be installed over them
I plead Guilty As Charged and would it over and over again”
I may be paraphrasing a bit, but only just.
Now, with UN Plan 2030 and the World Economic Forum’ Great Reset and Build Back Better in all the Neolib/Neocon countries of the West, the Tavistock Institute plan continues space.
While I have difficulty trusting Xi, I do believe that President Putin, who is of deep Orthodox Faith is possibly the last hope for Humanity.
It’s been said before, and I’ll repeat it
Fidel Castro in 1997, said that the next civilizational war would be fought by Russia against fascism once more and that this time, fascism would be called Democracy.
I believe this only ends one of two ways.
Either Russia prevails and de-militarizes and de- nazifys the West or the World burns
    Blessings to All
    Slava Russia

Perhaps by using a question as an entry portal I could suggest some items which may further illuminate your comment.

How did Franz Stangl and his associates “restructure” Treblinka in 1942 to attain productivity levels of “processing” circa 800,000/900,000 “stuk” in about a year ?

Components of the answers can be found in what some refer to as the Trawniki Papers – Trawniki being one of the “training” facilities to facilitate “Operation Reinhard” and other projects “co-ordinated” by Mr Globocnik – although you may find this “restricted” according to clearances. If this proves to be a problem, perhaps in the not too distant future, some may publish these materials in the public domain.

Apparently this information was “transferred” as a consequence of the “not unconditional surrender” agreement made on or about 4th May 1945 in the Bolzano area of Northern Italy, between Mr. Karl Wolff representing the SD and Mr. Allen Dulles apparently representing no one, despite Mr. Dulles having a relationship with the SD through those representing him in Switzerland via the Masson-Schellenberg connection.

Apparently this information has informed the practices of the coercive social relations self-misrepresented as “The United States of America” from 1945 onwards, including but not limited to, the uses of hope and tempo, partly informed by the observations of Mr. Taylor in “Scientific Management” and elsewhere.

What if the conflict is aimed at containing Western Europe within the banker’s grasp and Russia is just being used as a proverbial Boogeyman

“What if the conflict is aimed at containing Western Europe within the banker’s grasp and Russia is just being used as a proverbial Boogeyman ?”

That has been the case since at least 1917, systematised by way of The Treaty of Versailles in 1919 and NATO in 1949.

The present is a linear extrapolation in amplitude and scope necessitated by the ongoing processes of the lateral transcendences of “The Soviet Union” by the Russian Federation’s networks.

If they mean what they say, yes: stupid.

If we accept that the Russians and not we the uppity peasants of America and the West are not the targets. If judged by effects we suffer, we may be the targets.

One must also consider strategic depth: which the USA now has in Western Europe to an unchallenged degree. Strategic depth being the point of Empire.

Judge by results, not by words.

Well, we are certainly not ruled by “lizardoid aliens” .And we aren’t ruled by a cabal of bankers…It would be incorrect to call it a “cabal” and yet, let’s be honest enough with ourselves to place the credit where its due. Yes there is a massive state that does most of the actual ruling, but their paychecks don’t appear out thin air (except metaphorically) . Our politics serve our wealth and our wealth serves a shockingly small number of people, and despite constant claims to the contrary it is not imaginary. Its real wealth, labour and natural resources expropriated from the “other” 80% of the worlds people, by military force and political bullying, organized by and for finance capital. Before the accusations of “communist ” start flying I got this from reading the recent work of an almost legendary American capitalist theorist, Michael Hudson not Karl Marx

for a long time i’ve played a mental game when i watch the actions of beltway types: evil or stupid? sometimes both. also, evil is subjective so feel free to substitute “psychopathic”. two other words that sum up DC “decision makers” and their handlers in the business sector: cloistered and ossified. ever been to northern virginia where the people who actually run the show live? they live in the extravagant equivalent of unabomber shacks; a few miles from the urban parts of DC but they may as well be on the moon.

but then the US is geographically and culturally a cul de sac so no surprise there. the most surreal experiences of my life were moving to DC from the south and returning to the same after a long trip to eastern europe (which, oddly, reminded me a lot of the southern US). they really are a foreign culture within their own country; i’d also throw in what i call “beltway idiot savant syndrome” which is a condition where someone – usually a well-off yuppie from a confortable suburb – goes to univeristy for a specific skill and does well enough to get a job in DC doing said thing but completely fails at every other aspect of being a human being. a city full of “rain man” clones.

About Larry C. Johnson

I am a bona fide Son of American Revolutionaries. At least 24 of my ancestors, men and women, fought to free the American Colonies from British rule. Some died for the cause of liberty. Though two and a half centuries have passed since my great grandfathers and grandmothers took up arms, the principles they fought for remain valid and relevant to the 21st Century. This blog is dedicated to the pursuit of truth without regard to partisan advantage. I welcome like minded patriots.
